It has been the 744th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine, ignores the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, launches strikes, and attacks both military and civilian targets. The enemy is actively using aircraft and FPV quadcopters, conducting assault operations with the support of armoured vehicles.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains challenging.

On March 8, there were 74 combat clashes.

The enemy launched a total of 7 missile and 67 air strikes, carried out 79 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks resulted in wounded civilians. Residential private and apartment buildings, as well as other infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group were noticed. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Sopych, Sydorivka, Volfyne (Sumy oblast) and Vovchansk (Kharkiv oblast). Around 40 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Senkivka, Yeline, Bleshnya, Lubiane (Chernihiv oblast), Baranivka, Basivka, Zapsillya, Hrabovske (Sumy oblast), Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, Krasne, and Neskuchne (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted 3 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Synkivka and Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Synkivka, Tabaivka, and Berestove (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Holubivka, Synkivka, and Kotliarivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 4 assaults near Terny and Spirne (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The russian army launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bilohorivka, Makiivka (Luhansk oblast) and in the area of Serebrianka forestry. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Makiivka, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, and Serebryanka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 9 attacks in the vicinities of Klishchiivka, and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to improve their tactical situation. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Holmivskyi and Druzhba (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Niu-York and Hryhorivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Nevelske (Donetsk oblast). The russian forces launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Novooleksandrivka, Prohres, Novobakhmutivka, and Berdychi (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Novopavlivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinities of Pobjeda, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders, with air support, made 18 attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched air strikes near Volodymyrivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 20 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, and Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy conducted 6 attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Robotyne and west of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20 settlements, including Poltavka, Malynivka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Novodanylivka, and Piatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, Odesa operational-strategic group, the enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 20 settlements in Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts, including the city of Kherson, Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Krynky, and Novotyahynka.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 10 buildups of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 3 electronic warfare stations, including 2 R-330Zh Zhitel stations, and 1 ammunition depot of russian invaders.


The Military Media Center reports that as of January 2024, 62 thousand women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Of these, 13,487 have the status of combatants, 4,000 of them are in the combat zone. 

The State Special Communications Service says that the Cabinet of Ministers has allocated UAH 152m for a system for blocking the broadcast of programs of enemy television and radio channels in the border areas. The system will operate in nine regions: Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia and Odesa.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that Ukrainian troops repelled 69 russian attacks in the east on 7 March. Most of the fighting was towards Novopavlivka and Avdiivka.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that in the afternoon in Vovchansk, an enemy FPV drone hit a unit of rescuers and police officers while they were working at the site of a previous attack.

About 18 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered enemy artillery and mortar attacks: Tabaivka, Holubivka, Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, Krasne, Neskuchne and others. The enemy launched airstrikes on Vovchansk, Ivanivka, and Stepova Novoselivka.

At 12:06am, russians shelled Chuhuiv with S-300 systems, hitting the ground near a residential area. The shelling broke windows in a 9-storey residential building. The facade of a shopping centre, a bank, a shop, a hotel and 13 cars were damaged. The shelling damaged the main water supply system that supplies water to the entire town and the consequences of the shelling are being repaired. Seven civilians were injured: four men, a 41-year-old woman, a 16-year-old boy and a girl aged three years and eight months.

From 10:14pm to 11pm, there was a series of shelling of Kupiansk. In general, private houses and cars were damaged. A 36-year-old man was rescued from the rubble. A 64-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man were killed.

At 4:39pm, Basove village of Bohodukhiv region was shelled. The warehouse building of the village enterprise, the club building, the library building and the power line were partially damaged. There were no casualties.

At 4:25pm, there was a shelling of Synelnykove village, Chuhuiv region. There was no information about casualties or destruction.

At 10am, russian troops shelled Vovchansk with a guided missile. At least 12 private residential buildings were damaged. A 40-year-old civilian woman was killed as a result of a direct hit to a private house. A 67-year-old woman sustained minor injuries but was not hospitalised.

Yesterday the enemy attacked Synkivka twice, but without success.

Combined teams of explosive ordnance disposal specialists cleared 17.99 hectares of territory and destroyed 314 explosive ordnance. Mine clearance is ongoing.

The de-occupied areas of Kharkiv oblast received 13 new specialised vehicles worth almost 2m euros from the German Federal Agency for Technical Assistance.

The heating season is at its final stage. Planning for the next one is already underway, taking into account technical capabilities, funding and the security situation. Housing infrastructure and communications will continue to be restored.

The Ministry of Defence said that 55 tonnes of scrap from destroyed russian tanks and armoured vehicles have been collected and the remains of the equipment will be sent for recycling. The money raised from the sale of the scrap will be used to support the Defence Forces.

Donetsk oblast

Myrnohrad CMA reported about two russian shelling on the night of 8 March, injuring one person. The shelling began around 1:30am and lasted for almost an hour. Also russia dropped a KAB-250 on the enterprise and two S-300 missiles on residential buildings. A dormitory building, an outpatient clinic, an ASC, at least seven high-rise buildings, a gas pipeline and a power substation were damaged, leaving more than two and a half thousand subscribers without electricity.

The press service of Donetsk police said that at 2 am, the invaders launched three attacks on Novohrodivka: two S-300 missiles and a Smerch multiple rocket launcher. The invaders hit the hospital and the private sector. A 38-year-old woman and a 77-year-old man were injured. The enemy damaged 33 private homes, 4 apartment buildings, 2 hospital buildings, a business and 5 vehicles.

Yesterday the enemy attacked settlements 10 times, 1371 times along the contact line. The russian army attacked 10 settlements: Kostiantynivka, Toretsk, Ukrainsk cities, Ocheretyne settlement, Dovha Balka, Memryk, Novobakhmutivka, Novoukrainka, Umanske, Uspenivka villages.

110 civilian objects were damaged, including 91 residential buildings, an agricultural company, a medical facility, a school, a shop, administrative buildings, cultural centres, a boiler house, cars and power lines.

Towards Volnovakha, a farm and a house were damaged in Novoukrainka of Vuhledar community.

Towards Pokrovsk, a house was damaged in Sokil of Ocheretyne community. 9 houses and 2 administrative buildings were damaged in Uspenivka of Kurakhove community. A hangar and private houses were damaged in Svitle of Dobropillia community. A person was injured, 12 apartment buildings, 2 administrative buildings and 2 shops damaged in Myrnohrad. A person was injured, 6 administrative buildings, 2 two-storey buildings and 31 private houses were damaged in Novohrodivka. A person was injured, 15 private houses, 3 shops and a church damaged in Shakhove.

Towards Kramatorsk, a person was injured and 17 houses damaged in Dovha Balka of Illinivsk community. In Kostiantynivka, 2 people were wounded, 35 private houses, 2 multi-storey buildings, an administrative building and 2 infrastructure facilities damaged. The outskirts of Lyman community were shelled.

Towards Bakhmut, 3 people were injured and 4 houses damaged in Toretsk. 4 houses in Chasiv Yar community and another 1 in Siversk were damaged.

Roman Padun, Head of Kurakhove City Military Administration, reported that in Uspenivka, Hannivka, Veselyi Hai and Trudove forced evacuation of children with their parents or representatives was announced.

Ihor Boiko, Deputy Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, stated that since the beginning of 2024, more than 14,000 people have left Donetsk oblast.

This year, mine clearance will begin in Donetsk oblast as in 2023, the region was not included in the state mine clearance plan. More than 12,000 hectares are planned to be cleared in Donetsk oblast in 2024. Several demining operators will be working to clear agricultural land in the communities of Donetsk oblast. Since 2014, more than half of the land has been lost, including sown areas and no one is sowing those fields close to the contact line for security reasons. However, there are areas that can be cleared of explosive ordnance and used for agriculture, as there is a demand from local farmers.

Luhansk oblast

Luhansk police reported that around 8am, russian invaders hit Hrekivka with four RBK-500 bombs (a 500kg cluster bomb with 545 rounds of ammunition). The police also delivered humanitarian aid to the only woman in the village who  refuses to evacuate and congratulated her on the International Women’s Day. 

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the day before, russians attacked Bilohorivka. Nevske and Makiivka were also under attack.

Throughout the winter, residents of the frontline villages were provided with everything they needed on a weekly basis. Despite the danger and bad weather, employees of Krasnorichensk Military Administration or police officers delivered bread, food and other items. Scheduled humanitarian aid was delivered and distributed to the people. In the first days of March, four trips to the liberated settlements were made. The day before, another batch of bread was delivered to Novoliubivka and Nevske.

There are significant problems with pension payments in occupied Sorokyne. Pension fund employees are only open for one hour a day.

In the so-called “lpr”, not only voting for the pro-government presidential candidate is ahead of schedule but also forced mobilisation. Therefore, the invaders started preparing for it even before the voting was over. Men of military age are already being detained in several districts of the occupied Luhansk oblast. This is the order given to local law enforcers.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Grant Shapps, UK Secretary of State for Defence, met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv. They discussed the furtherance of defence cooperation between the two countries, strengthening Ukraine’s air defence, long-range capabilities and other urgent needs for weapons and ammunition.

Grant Shepps, UK Defence Secretary, recorded a video from the centre of Kyiv and called on the international community to support Ukraine.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, reported that Finland will assist in the implementation of projects to reconstruct and enhance energy transformation of Kyiv oblast. This was discussed during a meeting with Jakko Lehtovirta, Ambassador of Finland to Ukraine, Antti Vänskä, Ambassador for Reconstruction and Support to Ukraine, and representatives of a group of companies.

According to Kyiv RMA, during the roundtable, agrarians of Kyiv oblast discussed additional financing, restoration of infrastructure and agricultural equipment damaged by the war. In January 2024, the Agricultural Loan Guarantee Fund was launched to support farmers with the support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, the European Commission, and the International Finance Corporation.

Kyiv oblast is a leader among the regions of Ukraine in the implementation of energy efficiency projects (ESCOs). Over the past 6 months, 7 ESCO contracts have already been signed and 7 projects have been planned. The implementation of ESCO projects involves various energy modernisation measures in buildings and the installation of solar power plants at critical infrastructure facilities (water utilities and hospitals).

According to Kyiv City State Administration, in Kyiv, specialists of the utility company have begun to restore traffic lights at the intersection of Skliarenko Street and Baltiyskiy Lane. The facility was damaged as a result of a russian missile attack in January 2024. In addition to signals for cars, it will be equipped with a sound warning system for the visually impaired and tactile tiles will be installed at the intersection.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr, children of servicemen who died for Ukraine will be taught programming. The social project was launched on March 6 at the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of Polissia National University. In addition to programming, there will be another group where children will be taught robotics.

Since the start of the full-scale russian invasion, students and teachers of Zhytomyr lyceum No. 30 have made and delivered more than 150 camouflage nets to the military. The school reported that the customers included the 95th separate airborne assault brigade of Polissia region and military personnel whose children study at the lyceum.

Sumy oblast

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy RMA, reported that a russian missile attack in Sumy on March 7 killed 2 people, injured 26, including 6 who are in medical facilities. Emergency and rescue operations at the site of the attack were completed. The premises of the school, the central city hospital, the regional emergency medical centre and the utility company were damaged.

Mykhailo Koroliov, a dentist and surgeon at Sumy Regional Clinical Hospital, was killed in a russian missile attack on March 7 in Sumy. 

At Sumy Regional Centre for Emergency Medical Care, the administrative building was damaged, 36 window blocks, the ceiling on 4 floors, 3 dormer windows on the roof, the garage, 12 window blocks, 6 emergency vehicles, and window blocks in the utility rooms were smashed and damaged.

During the day, russians fired 32 times at Sumy oblast. There were 233 explosions. Sumy, Yunakivka, Khotin, Bilopillia, Myropil, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Svesa, and Znob-Novhorodske communities were under enemy fire. The enemy fired at the communities with mortars, artillery, MLRSs, AGSs, dropped explosive devices from UAVs, and launched missiles from a helicopter.

According to Sumy RMA, at night and in the morning, the russian military fired 5 times at Krasnopillia, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorodske communities. There were 14 attacks with mortars and artillery.

Oleksii Drozdenko, Head of Sumy Military Administration, reported that after a russian drone strike on March 6, heating, electricity and hot water supply were restored to Sumy Hospital No. 5. The hospital started accepting inpatients again.

Almost two hundred reports of damaged property were received by the operational headquarters from residents of the buildings on Kharkivska Street, where one of the russian Shahed drones hit on March 6. The headquarters for eliminating the consequences of the attack is located in the premises of secondary school No. 9. It accepts applications from residents of the damaged property. 8 houses on Kharkivska Street were damaged as a result of the hit.

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, reported that on March 7, a 52-year-old civilian man died in Semenivka community as a result of mortar shelling. The drone attack also damaged a residential building, but the owner was not injured.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, russian troops fired 22 times at the border of Chernihiv oblast. The Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Horodnia communities were under enemy fire. There were 138 attacks with mortars, cannon artillery and FPV drones. 

Chernihiv RMA reported that the restoration of the surgical building of the regional hospital, which suffered serious damage as a result of shelling by russian troops in February-March 2022, is almost complete. The work was financed by the Fund for Eliminating the Armed Aggression Consequences.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that the enemy attacked Nikopol region 3 times during the night. They shelled artillery at the region’s center, Myrove and Marhanets communities. More than a dozen shells were fired. 3 private houses and an outbuilding were damaged.

In the afternoon, a 22-year-old girl was wounded in Chervonohryhorivka community of Nikopol region. She was hospitalized in moderate condition. In total, the occupiers attacked Nikopol region 8 times. They launched 5 kamikaze drones and about 2 dozen artillery shells. They hit the region’s center, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. An agricultural company, a shop, a transport, utility and infrastructure company, 12 private houses, an outbuilding, garages, cars, a greenhouse, a power line and fences were damaged.

Serhii Lysak, Head of the RMA, reported that a defence line is being constructed in the oblast. The construction of anti-tank ditches, dugouts for shelter and the installation of concrete “dragon’s teeth” is planned.

Vinnytsia oblast

Oleksii Zamirko, Head of the Service Center of Veterans’ Affairs announced that one and a half thousand people have sought counseling from veterans’ assistants in Vinnytsia over the past 6 months.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, reported that at night the Air Defence Forces shot down 8 Shahed drones in the oblast.

Oleksandriia and Kropyvnytskyi cities were included in the ranking of Ukrainian cities by the percentage of their budgets allocated to defense.

According to Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, Kirovohrad oblast has purchased 5 drones for the military of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

Cherkasy oblast

According to Talne City Council, Talne paid tribute to soldier Andrii Maslov. He served in an assault battalion as a combat medic and was trained in the UK.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On March 7, the russian military launched 256 strikes on 11 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. A 81-year-old man sustained injuries and was hospitalized. russian forces targeted Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne with airstrikes, shelled Bilenke and Robotyne with MLRS, and attacked Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Omelnyk with 71 drones. Additionally, 181 artillery strikes hit the areas of Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Omelnyk, Prymorsk, and other frontline towns and villages. There have been reports of 23 incidents of residential buildings and infrastructure being destroyed.

 The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia oblast reported that on March 7, three fires broke out as a result of enemy shelling. Two fires occurred in a garage and a residential building in the frontline town of Huliaipole, and one fire broke out in a residential building in Preobrazhenka. 

 The General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks towards Orikhiv near Robotyne and west of Verbove. 

Special operations forces destroyed a russian electronic warfare jamming communication station R-330Zh Zhitel on Zaporizhzhia front. The complex was located by scouts and destroyed by a HIMARS missile. It is reported that the crew did not survive.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA reported that explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied cities of Melitopol and Tokmak.  Last night, there was an explosion in Tokmak near the area of the Concrete Producing Plant, which the russians transformed into a military base. According to officials, a warehouse of ammunition and a vehicle transporting ammunition exploded in Melitopol.

On March 7, the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) approved, by a majority vote, a resolution for the urgent return of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) under full control of Ukraine. It was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine. The resolution also expresses serious concern about the unstable state of nuclear safety and security at the Zaporizhzhia NPP. Ukrainian Minister of Energy Herman Halushchenko, commenting on the approved resolution, stated that if the russian side refuses to comply with this decision, Ukraine will demand an increase in sanctions.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the russian army attacked the south and east of Ukraine launching one S-300 surface-to-air missile, two guided aviation missiles X-59, and 37 Shahed UAVs targeting the city of Balaklava, Crimea. Air Defense Forces, mobile fire groups, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with electronic warfare means, were involved in repelling the aerial attack. 2 Shahed drones were shot down within the territory of Mykolaiv oblast as a result of the combat operation. 

The National Police of Mykolaiv oblast reported that an enemy UAV hit the wind turbine rotor. Explosive ordnance disposal specialists had to neutralize the combat part on the spot. 

Odesa oblast

The South Operational Command reported that an infrastructure object was damaged in Odesa oblast due to an enemy drone attack. According to the report, the air defense units repelled attack waves of Shahed drones coming from different directions and maneuvering intricately. 30 Shahed-131/136 drones were shot down in the operational zone of the Southern Defense Forces. 18 of them were shot down in the sky over Odesa oblast. 

The average volume of grain unloaded daily in the ports of Odesa is currently 1487 wagons. This was discussed during a meeting of representatives of Ukrzaliznytsia with agricultural enterprises on March 7. Currently, 6973 wagons with grain are heading to the ports of Odesa. 1892 wagons are heading to the port of Odesa, 2327 to Chornomorsk, and 2754 to Pivdennyi.

The State Environmental Inspection informs that environmental damages amount to hundreds of millions of hryvnias due to the russian attack on Odesa on the night of March 8. The shelling caused pollution of land plots with metallic debris and construction waste covering an area of ​​over 600 square meters. The estimated damage exceeds UAH 117m.

Kherson oblast

Around 12am, the russian army shelled the village of Olhivka in Tiahynka community, presumably using mortar weapons. One person was killed, and another injured. Details are being clarified.

Around 10:30 am a local resident was blown up by an explosive device left by the russian military while plowing the land in the village of Shyroka Balka of Stanislav community. The man died as a result of the detonation.

Systematic counter-battery warfare continues in the operational zone of the Southern Defense Forces. The enemy attempted three unsupported infantry assaults to dislodge our units from the positions on the left bank of the Dnipro. Suffering losses, they withdrew to their initial positions. Ukrainian forces are maintaining their positions, expanding the bridgehead.

The enemy struck Kherson oblast with a guided aviation missile of the X-59 type and launched 30 FPV drones and 9 UAVs Lancet from the left bank. An administrative building and two private houses were damaged as a result of the drones attacks.

Occupiers shelled Kherson seven times, Antonivka and Stanislav three times each, and Zolota Balka twice. Additionally, Mykhailivka, Shyroka Balka, and Kizomys were shelled.

5 civilians were injured as a result of the enemy’s artillery shelling. Multistorey buildings, private houses, administrative buildings, shops, civilian cars, garages, and gas pipelines were damaged.

Bilozerka was under a russian massive attack. 15 residential buildings, three administrative buildings, and an educational institution were damaged. An 81-year-old local resident was injured and taken to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with explosive and skull-brain injuries.

The defense forces continue to damage the enemy’s locations, firing positions, and rear areas. During the day, confirmed losses of the enemy on the left bank were 62 occupiers, 1 multiple launch rocket system Grad, 4 cannons, 3 mortars, 14 units of automotive equipment, 2 antennas, and 4 boats. The enemy’s ammunition set for the MSTA-B howitzer was destroyed.

Employees of Kherson Art Museum identified three more paintings stolen by the russian military. Their images were noticed in footage shot at the Central Museum of Tavrida. Thus, the number of identified paintings stolen by russians reached 94 items.

Volunteers from UAnimals distributed 200 kilograms of feed to residents of Mynne and Posad-Pokrovske in Kherson oblast. The feed will be enough to feed approximately 80 stray animals.

Volunteers handed over another ambulance car to Kherson oblast. Specialized medical transport will operate in one of the regional hospitals. The purchase of the vehicle was facilitated by BambergaUA, the People’s Defense of Lviv, and many musitians, namely funk singer Yan Diley.

Novovorontsovka community received more than 100 windows. They will be installed of utility companies. Assistance was provided by the Born to Serve People NGO and the All-Ukrainian Association of Communities.

Volyn oblast

Azov, the fifth special purpose battalion of the 12th brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine,  formed on the basis of the Lubart unit, received a cargo bus. Representatives of the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine delivered the car from Finland.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Uzhgorod, students and teachers of the Perspektiva Art Lyceum raised UAH 18,500 for an FPV drone for the military. The drone was purchased and sent to the military thanks to Zakarpattia Military Support Movement.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

8 MAVIC 3 and 8 MAVIC THERMAL quadcopters, which are equipped with highly efficient thermal cameras that allow working at night, worth UAH 2.3m was sent to the military fighting in the hottest spots of Donetsk oblast. These are the funds that were collected at the IV charity auction, which took place on February 22 in Yaremche.

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that the community sent 20 drones to the 79th separate territorial defense battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of the 102nd brigade.

Lviv oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of businesses that are part of EOFI. Finnish companies are ready to participate in projects of reconstructing and developing Ukraine.

The HAB | Lviv Habilitation Center, which is the first habilitation center in Ukraine, was opened in Lviv. Veterans and civilians who have undergone physical rehabilitation at the UNBROKEN Center and now need to adapt to new living conditions will acquire new skills here. During 3 weeks, psychologists, trainers and rehabilitators will teach them to be autonomous both at home and outside. The habilitation center occupies an area of ​​660 square meters. m. It is equipped with 9 rooms and 27 beds to accommodate 300 people annually.

Anatolii Falach from Morshyn was posthumously awarded with the Hero’s Cross. He defended Ukraine as part of the 46th separate rifle battalion. The soldier was killed on November 24, 2022, near the village of Bakhmutske, Donetsk oblast.

Four defenders from Zolochiv region were posthumously awarded state awards. Awards were presented to families of servicemen.

Rivne oblast

Rivne City Council held another meeting of the Coordination Council on IDPs. The IDP Council is a consultative and advisory body that unites IDPs with a proactive civic position, relevant experience and knowledge to more effectively protect the rights and interests of IDPs in the oblast.

In Rivne, on the facade of Lyceum #12, memorial plaques were opened in honour of the fallen Heroes, brothers Oleh and Dmytro Ziber, who were killed on the same day on May 19, 2022 in Donetsk oblast.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil sent five units of reconnaissance equipment for the defenders at the front thanks to the budget funds. The cost is over UAH 975, 000. And also the City Council sent 50 drones to the front.

An exhibition hall of the russian-Ukrainian war was opened in the Museum of the National Liberation Struggle of Ternopil oblast. Various exhibits are collected in the hall, which tell about the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian people against the russian occupiers.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In the RMA, high state awards were presented to the families of the fallen Heroes. According to the Decrees of the President of Ukraine, for personal courage and selfless actions shown in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, orders for courage of the III degree were posthumously awarded to Vasyl Haviuk, Volodymyr Holota, Hryhorii Kucher and Oleh Volevodtsov.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Katarina Haberkorn, Coordinator of the Swabia-Bukovina partnership of the European Bureau of the General Council of Deputies of the District of Swabia (Germany). Cross-border cooperation and implementation of joint projects were discussed. In particular, it was about the development of telemedicine and the provision of humanitarian aid.

Khotyn signed a tripartite partnership agreement with the cities of Dorohoi (Romania) and Dondushen (Moldova). Within the framework of the agreement, they will work together on environmental protection, as well as contribute to the comprehensive development of children and their education.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Arvydas Anushauskas, Minister of National Defense, announced that Lithuania sent another batch of military aid to Ukraine, including 155 mm calibre artillery shells.

Grant Shapps, Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom, announced that the country will allocate 325 mln pounds (about $416 mln) to provide the Ukrainian military with advanced drones during 2024.

Jonas Har Store, Prime Minister of Norway, announced that the country allocates $153 mln for the purchase of artillery ammunition for Ukraine outside the EU countries. The funds will go to the Czech initiative to purchase 800K 155 mm and 122 mm projectiles. Norway also joins the coalition in support of Ukraine’s air defense.

Yuriko Bekes, Minister of Defense of Luxembourg, reported that the country will join the Czech initiative to purchase 800K artillery shells for Ukraine.

IAEA demands to urgently return Zaporizhzhya NPP under the control of Ukraine. The Board of Directors of the IAEA by a majority of votes supported the draft resolution on nuclear safety, security and guarantees in Ukraine developed by Ukraine.

A briefing on the security situation in Ukraine and other pressing issues was held in the President’s Office for the delegation of the People’s Republic of China led by Li Hui, special representative of the Chinese government for Eurasian affairs.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, held a meeting with the delegation of the Hudson Institute American Analytical Center, led by John Walters, President and executive director. They discussed cooperation.
