It has been the 740 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

During the day of March 4, there were 63x combat engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 5x missile and 44x air strikes, carried out 68x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks resulted in wounded civilians. Residential private and apartment buildings, as well as other infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Chuikivka (Sumy oblast), Lyptsi, Varvarivka, Nesterne, Kolodyazne (Kharkiv oblast). Around 20x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Klyusy, Tovstodubove, Seredyna-Buda (Sumy oblast), Kozacha Lopan’, Krasne, Neskuchne (Kharkiv oblast).

Kup’yans’k axis: the adversary conducted 6x attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Syn’kivka (Kharkiv oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Kyslivka (Kharkiv oblast), Tverdokhlibove Novojehorivka (Luhansk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Zapadne, Syn’kivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kotlyarivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 1x assault near Terny (Donetsk oblast), where the adversary, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Makiivka, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, Tors’ke, Serebryanka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 3x attacks in the vicinity of Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to improve their tactical situation. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of New York and Druzhba (Donetsk oblast). More than 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Andriivka (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 21x attacks in the vicinities of Novoselivka, Berdychi, Tonen’ke, Pervomais’ke, Nevel’s’ke (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Semenivka, Netailove, Kalynove (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Pervomais’ke, Nevel’s’ke (Donetsk oblast).

Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinities of Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Prechystivka and Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders, with air support, made 16x attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched an air strike near Kostyantynivka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 20x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast).

Orikhiv axis: the adversary conducted no offensives. However, the enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Staromaiors’ke (Donetsk oblast), Novodarivka, Malynivka and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20x settlements, including Malynivka, Charivne, Bilohir’ya, Novodanylivka, P’yatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Odesa operational-strategic group, Kherson axis: the occupiers, despite significant losses, do not abandon their intention to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. Thus, during the day, the enemy carried out 2x unsuccessful assaults. More than 20x settlements, including Kherson, Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Krynky, Zmiivka (Kherson oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

During the day of March 4, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 8x concentrations of troops, 1x UAVs ground control station of the occupiers. On top of that, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 1x Kh-59 air-launched guided missile.

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 1x concentration of troops, 1x air defense system, 6x artillery systems of the russian invaders.

The invaders actively use chemical weapons. Especially the use of chemical weapons by the enemy in the Zaporozhye direction. the Russians immediately dropped 9 chemical munitions from UAVs, which is a violation of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling, and Use of Chemical Weapons. Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of the operational-strategic group of troops “Tavria”, reported this.

Kharkiv region is considering the possibility of announcing the forced evacuation of children from the territory of the Kupyan community, as the parents of 225 children wrote to refuse mandatory evacuation. There are opportunities to evacuate the population, but no one agrees to leave. Andrii Besedin, head of the Kupyan city military administration, announced this.

Ukrainian developers established the production of analogues of Western armored vehicles M113, MaxxPro and Humvee under the names “Fox”, “Sikach” and “Character”. Andriy Yusov, the representative of the HUR, informed about this.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that russia launched airstrikes near Lyptsi, Varvarivka, Nesterne, Kolodiazne and Kyslivka. Towards Kupiansk, russian troops attacked positions near Synkivka six times. At least seven settlements in Kharkiv oblast were under attack.

 

Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv City Military Administration, confirmed that russians shelled Ivashky of Zolochiv community with artillery around 10:50 am. The shelling happened during the unloading of the aid to the humanitarian centre.

 

The enemy opened fire on Basove, a border town of Zolochiv community, around 12:30 pm. According to Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv CMA, the russian army struck about 12 times. The outbuildings, administrative buildings of the agricultural enterprise and the power grid were damaged.

 

Based on the information provided by Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, about 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks: Milove, Dvorichna, Synkivka and others. The enemy launched airstrikes on Vovchansk, Synkivka and Velykyi Burluk.

 

At 7:12 pm, a private house was burning as a result of shelling in Vovchansk. There were no casualties.

 

At 6:32 pm, the enemy shelled Velykyi Burluk village, Kupiansk region, twice with MRLs. The shelling damaged a warehouse and 4 residential buildings. There were no casualties.

 

The invaders also struck Kruhliakivka and Petropavlivka villages of Kupiansk region. A 60-year-old civilian man received medical assistance on the spot.

 

Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 enemy attacks near Synkivka and Tabaivka over the day.

 

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 3.68 hectares of territory and destroyed 164 explosive devices. Mine clearance is ongoing.

 

Five people, including a 6-year-old child, were killed in Kharkiv oblast as a result of russian strikes and shelling over the past week. Another 19 residents of the oblast were injured by russian attacks or mines.

 

Kupiansk remains the hotspot. The day before, Kupiansk was hit by Kab bombs with cluster munitions for the first time. This increases the impact area and poses an even greater threat to civilians. That is why the issue of forced evacuation of families with children has been raised at the Regional Defence Council. The construction of fortifications continues and the transition to the third stage is ongoing.

 

Illia Yevlash, Head of the press service of Khortytsia operational-strategic groupi, said that the russian military has reduced its offensive actions near Synkivka. The russian army is moving its troops towards Lyman, near Chornyi Zherebets River.

 

Andrii Nereta, Director of the regional department of environmental protection, reported that in Kharkiv oblast, rescuers continue to clean up the aftermath of an oil leak into rivers. Every two days, rescuers cover the oil spots with peat and at least 100 litres have been used. According to the fish protection patrol, ducks have begun to return to the rivers.

 

The press service of Kharkiv police informed that the remains of a man were found in Studenok village, Izium region, on 2 March. They may belong to a resident who went missing during the occupation in 2022. According to the press service, the case is being investigated as a intentional murder.

Donetsk oblast

Illia Yevlash, Head of the press service of Khortytsia operational-strategic group, confirmed that the russian military are pressing from the flanks and launching frontal attacks near Ivanivske. Their main goal is Chasiv Yar. Heavy fighting continues towards Bakhmut, and the key goal of further success and advance of the russian army is being determined in Ivanivske. The largest number of engagements was towards Lyman, which accounted to 18.

 

While extinguishing a fire in Kramatorsk region, rescuers from Sloviansk garrison were under repeated russian shelling. The enemy attacked the rescuers and firefighting equipment with a drone.  Rescuers aged 29 and 31 were killed and three others injured.

 

The enemy injured 19 people over the day. There were 10 hits to the residential sector. In total, Donetsk oblast withstood 1556 attacks. Also russians shelled 9 settlements: Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Siversk cities, Ocheretyne settlement, Zavitne, Kalynove, Komyshivka, Mykolaivka, Novoselivka Persha villages. 65 civilian objects were damaged, including 32 residential buildings, a kindergarten, a school, a cafe, shops, a church, administrative buildings, 19 vehicles and an excavator, a gas pipeline and a sewerage system.

 

Towards Pokrovsk, a school was damaged and a house destroyed in Novoselivka Persha of Ocheretyne community. Two houses were damaged in Krasnohorivka. Novohrodivka community suffered numerous shelling: 2 two-storey buildings, 2 private houses, 2 educational institutions, 2 shops, a cafe, a church and an administrative building were damaged in Mykolaivka; 7 houses were damaged in Zvitne; 1 house was damaged in Komyshivka. 3 people in Pokrovsk and another 16 in Kurakhove were injured. In Pokrovsk, the aftermath of yesterday’s shelling is being repaired as the enemy shelling damaged an underground gas pipe and started a fire on the gas pipeline. As a result, about 1,900 customers were left without gas supply.

 

Towards Kramatorsk, 1 facility was damaged in Kalynivka of Illinivsk community. The outskirts of Lyman and Kostiantynivka communities were shelled.

 

Towards Bakhmut, 5 private houses were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. A house and an administrative building were damaged in Siversk.

 

In just a day, russians shelled settlements in Donetsk oblast 10 times. 187 people, including 55 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

 

The State Emergency Service of Donetsk oblast informed that over the weekend, on 2 and 3 March, five residents of Zhelanne community were evacuated from Ocheretyne.

 

The occupiers used Volnovakha penal colony №120 (better known as Olenivka colony) as a filtration camp where more than three thousand prisoners of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, law enforcers and civilians were held and tortured.

 

White Angels unit evacuated three people from the outer streets of Krasnohorivka, where the fighting is underway. An elderly couple and another resident refused to leave the town until the last moment.

 

Olha Hostieva, Director of Myrnohrad Central City Hospital, and Yurii Borodin, General Director of Pokrovsk Clinical Hospital, reported that 9 women and 8 men, who were injured in the shelling of Kurakhove on 3 March, are being treated in hospitals in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad. Their condition is moderate.

 

Veronika Bakhal, Spokeswoman of the State Emergency Service, said that in Kramatorsk, the debris has been cleared from the site of the enterprise building destroyed by shelling on 20 February, where the search for a man had been going on for almost two weeks. He was not found.

 

The 2023 report stated that more than UAH 84 million was spent from Kramatorsk budget to repair and equip shelters in schools and homes. The city has 26 air raid alarm systems.

Luhansk oblast

After a short pause, russians have again increased their air presence in this area of the frontline. According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, yesterday they attacked three villages in Luhansk oblast. Towards Kupiansk, they attacked Nadiia and Tverdokhlibove, and towards Lyman , as expected, Bilohorivka. The enemy organised an attempted assault near this settlement, but our defenders repelled the invaders. Nevske was under artillery attack.

 

In the occupied Rubizhne, a business has been set up to sell coupons for admission to the pension fund. People have been queuing up since the previous day to get them for free. Those who live closer stand in line every day, become owners of coupons and offer others to buy their place. You can buy a place in the queue for less money.

 

In the last days of winter, a centralised heating boiler was switched on in Sievierodonetsk. But its capacity is not enough even to deliver the carrier to the first surviving apartment buildings. In spring, when the temperature is already above freezing, the radiators remain cold.

 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) press service, evidence has been collected against two russian military officials involved in airstrikes on residential areas in the village of Borodianka in Kyiv oblast. The war crimes of colonel general Oleksandr Chaika, commander of the eastern military district of the russian armed forces, and lieutenant general Volodymyr Kravchenko, commander of the 11th army of the air force and air defence of the russian armed forces, were documented. Their criminal orders resulted in the destruction of six apartment buildings in early March 2022, which led to the deaths of more than 30 local residents. Some of the injured residents have not yet been identified and are reported missing.

According to Kyiv RMA, in Vasylkiv, major repairs are underway to a five-storey building that was damaged as a result of the full-scale russian invasion. The damaged parts of the building have already been dismantled and the joints between the floor slabs repaired. The builders have reinforced the damaged wall structures and replaced window and door units.

In the settlements of Hostomel community, street lighting damaged during the fighting at the beginning of the russian invasion in 2022 is being restored. Utilities are replacing control cabinets, power poles, lanterns and cables. The most difficult situation arose in the village of Moshchun as all networks there have been destroyed, and a new project needs to be developed to repair them.

An artillery shell was found in Hostomel during the dismantling of a house destroyed by hostilities. Explosive experts from the State Emergency Service were called to remove and dispose of the shell.

According to Anatolii Fedoruk, Mayor of Bucha, Bucha community has received assistance from the Czech Republic. These are two buses for the local fleet. Also, new transformers worth almost USD 750,000 were delivered to Bucha, which the community received as part of the USAID Energy Security Project.

Solar panels are being installed at a lyceum in Hostomel. The energy project is being implemented with funding from Greenpeace. In case of interruptions in the centralised power supply, the solar panels will provide electricity to the educational institution and the shelter located on its territory.

As part of Psychological Practice Point project, psychologists from Kyiv State Emergency Service conducted training for employees of the Ministry of Justice. They shared effective methods of work from their own experience aimed at maintaining mental health.

According to Kyiv RMA, The Region of Heroes, a documentary film about the occupation of Kyiv oblast made in 2022, was nominated for Cinema for Victory Ukrainian National Film Festival. The festival was held in the capital from February 23 to 29. 

Zhytomyr oblast

According to Iryna Vereshchuk, Vice Prime Minister, 8 apartments for temporary residence of IDPs have been purchased for Zhytomyr oblast.

Volunteers in Zhytomyr held an auction to raise money for the military and raised UAH 82,000 to buy bulletproof vests and drones. The lots included items of both historical and cultural value. 

Sumy oblast

According to Sumy RMA, russians fired 5 times at the border areas of Sumy oblast. There were 15 attacks: the dropping of aerial bombs (2 explosions), mortar attacks (4 explosions), cannon artillery (9 explosions) and the use of small arms. Velyka Pysarivka, Esman and Znob-Novhorodske communities were shelled.

On March 3, the russian military conducted 29 shellings. There were 130 explosions. Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled. The enemy attacked with mortars, cannon artillery, grenade launchers, a tank and FPV drones.

A gas pipeline was damaged as a result of hostile shelling in the town of Seredyna-Buda, Shostka region. 109 consumers were left without any gas supply.

According to the National Police of Sumy oblast, russian shelling on March 3 damaged a power line, a hospital, 5 detached houses, 3 multi-storey buildings, a station technology centre building, a railway station and a mobile phone tower in Druzhbivka community. An airstrike on Yunakivka community damaged a truck and set fire to a sawmill. There are 6 residential buildings, an outbuilding, a garage and a car damaged on Seredyna-Buda community. 

According to the State Bureau of Investigation, an ammunition of the russian military was found near the border in Sumy oblast. It was intended for enemy subversive reconnaissance groups, which were neutralised by the Defence Forces of Ukraine during the de-occupation of the oblast. There were almost forty anti-tank mines, 10 improvised explosive devices, 2 grenade launchers and 2 boxes of 14.5 mm ammunition. The confiscated ammunition will be transferred to the Defence Forces and used against the enemy.

According to the State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast, bomb squads destroyed 27 pieces of ammunition in Sumy, Okhtyrka, Konotop, Romny and Shostka regions last week. Since the beginning of 2024, 129 explosive devices have been found in the oblast.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, russian troops fired 9 times on the territory of Chernihiv oblast. Four communities of the oblast came under enemy fire: Novhorod-Siverskyi – 8 mortar attacks; Semenivka – 11 mortar attacks and 4 unidentified explosive devices dropped from a UAV; Snovsk – 10 mortar and cannon artillery attacks; Horodnia – 9 mortar attacks.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of RMA, reported that over the week, the enemy fired 78 times at 20 border settlements in Chernihiv oblast. During this period, there were 427 explosions, including 9 airstrikes using FPV drones. 

Oleksandr Lomako, Acting Mayor of Chernihiv, reported that Chernihiv honoured the memory of those killed in russian airstrikes on March 3, 2022. Two years ago, the enemy dropped at least six bombs in the area of Chornovola Street, and then several more on two schools in Podusivka, destroying them to the ground.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of RMA, reported that a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation was signed between the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, Chernihiv RMA and French Agency for International Technical Cooperation Expertise France.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening a drone hit a post office, a residential building and a car in Nikopol. Later in the night, Marhanets community was shelled with artillery. A power line was damaged. There were no casualties.

During the day the Air Defence Forces shot down an enemy missile over Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

The falling wreckage of the missile caused a fire. A non-production facility was on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by rescuers, no one was injured. Nikopol region was attacked 8 times. The occupiers launched 4 kamikaze drones and almost 2 dozen artillery shells. Nikopol itself and Marhanets community were hit.

A private enterprise, 9 residential buildings, outbuildings, a minibus, power lines, a garage, a gas pipeline and fences were damaged. There were no casualties.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia oblast continues to actively help the military with thermal imagers, spotlights and silent chargers. Vinnytsia RMA announced that in order to save wounded soldiers’ lives a powerful resuscitation vehicle was sent to an emergency hospital in Vinnytsia and more such vehicles are planned to be delivered to the frontline.

Kirovohrad oblast

The first social laundry and shower were opened in Kirovograd oblast. They can be used by IDPs and low-income families in Novomyrhorod community of Novoukrainka region . The money for the project, UAH 600K, was received from Danish Red Cross Society by participating in a mini-grant competition.

Poltava oblast

A car was delivered to the military. The four-wheel drive SUV will be used by the defence to protect the airspace of Poltava oblast. Also spotlights, tripods and charging stations were delivered.

Poltava oblast received rehabilitation equipment from German partners, including exercise machines, devices for restoring muscle tone and strength, and wheelchairs. The equipment will be used by specialists at the Rehabilitation Medicine Center to treat patients, both civilians and military. The humanitarian aid was provided as a part of the German-Ukrainian Partnership between Hospitals, Partners Strengthen Health project in cooperation with Altmühlseeklinik Hensoltshöhe. The region was also provided with 30 medical functional beds for patients with reduced mobility. In total, humanitarian aid worth EUR 150K was provided. Online training for rehabilitation medicine doctors continues. In the future it’s planned to organize an internship for medical workers in a German clinic and expand the psychosocial rehabilitation project.

Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy soldier ran a half marathon in Rome. Artem Lukashuk, an ATO veteran, a military man, a medalist at Invictus Games in The Hague and a winner and medalist at the Warrior Games in the United States covered the 21.1 km course in the annual Roma-Ostia half marathon in 2 hours and 14 minutes.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Today, russian forces shelled the village of Rizdvianka twice using cluster munitions. One person was killed in the enemy shelling.

Yesterday the enemy launched 177 strikes on 6 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The occupiers carried out an airstrike on Robotyne, conducted 10 MLRS shellings at Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne, attacked Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne with 33 drones. 133 artillery strikes hit the territories of Novodanylivka, Malynivka, Robotyne and other settlements along the front line. There were 11 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure objects.

The General Staff reported that towards Orikhiv, russian occupiers attempted 3 unsuccessful attacks near settlement Robotyne.

The first rehabilitation center for military personnel, who are fighting on Zaporizhzhia front, has started its operation in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 25 defenders are already undergoing rehabilitation, therapy and consultations with psychologists.

The municipality of Aalen will transfer a fire truck to Zaporizhzhia rescuers. It is planned that the vehicle will be transferred to Melitopol community after de-occupation.

Rafael Grossi, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), announced that on Tuesday, March 5, he plans to visit moscow, where he would like to meet with russian president vladimir putin to learn about his vision for the further work of Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The head of the agency emphasized the importance of maintaining a “high-level” dialogue with both parties. Grossi stressed that the situation at the nuclear power plant continues to be unstable, as both the physical integrity, due to military actions near Zaporizhzhia NPP, and the energy supply of the station are under threat. Only one of the two power lines is currently functioning.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, informed that on March 3 and during the night of March 4, russian military forces struck Ochakiv, Kutsurub and Shevchenkove communities in Mykolaiv oblast. There were no reported injuries. 

The press service of the State Special Transport Service said that 66 explosive devices were neutralized and 150.29 hectares of land were inspected, and cleared of explosive hazards in Mykolaiv oblast during the past week, from February 26 till March 3. 

Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovations, Education, Science, and Technologies, Minister of Digital Transformation, reported that a new educational program called “Civil Drone Operator” will be introduced in Ukrainian vocational and technical education institutions. This year, students in seven vocational schools in Mykolaiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts will have the opportunity to master this new specialty.  

Odesa oblast 

Odesa RMA reported that 12 people, including 5 children, were killed as a result of a drone attack in Odesa on March 2. Among the deceased children were four-month-old Tymofii, seven-month-old Liza, three-year-old Mark, eight-year-old Zlata, and Serhii, who would have turned ten in July. Twenty people, including a pregnant woman, sustained injuries. Three individuals are undergoing stationary treatment, two are in the intensive care unit in critical condition and another person with moderate injuries is being treated in the trauma unit. A makeshift memorial has been set up near the building hit by the russian drone, with people bringing flowers and candles in memory of the victims.

On March 3, russian forces attacked Odesa with an X-31P missile from the Black Sea waters. The missile “lost combat capability” over the sea. “South” Operational Command added that russians continue the tactic of focused missile strikes, “testing and reconnoitering air defense systems.”

According to the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western Region, there were over five hundred incidents of environmental damage in Odesa and Mykolaiv oblast since the beginning of the war. The total damages from enemy attacks in the southern regions are estimated to be in the tens of billions of hryvnias.

Kherson oblast

This morning, russian forces attacked a resident of Beryslav using a drone. The occupiers dropped an explosive device on a 55-year-old man as he walked down the street. The victim was diagnosed with explosive injuries and fragmentation wounds to the limbs.

Yesterday the enemy attacked 16 settlements in Kherson oblast, including Sadove, Veletenske, Kizomys, Poniativka, Antonivka, Stepanivka, Zelenivka, Beryslav, Mykhailivka, Dudchany, Tomyna Balka, Sablukivka, Kachkarivka, Kozatske, Vesele and the city of Kherson. 9 high-rise buildings, 16 private houses, critical infrastructure objects, educational institutions, a bakery and utility buildings were damaged. Also administrative buildings were damaged in Kherson. One person was killed due to russian aggression. 

There were no enemy assaults towards our bridgeheads on the left bank yesterday. According to “South” Operational Command, the enemy launched strike drones attacks and UAV drops. There is also an increase in the activity of reconnaissance drones – over 130 flights in a day. Confirmed losses of the enemy on the left bank amounted to 47 occupiers, 8 guns, 3 electronic warfare and communication support systems, 12 units of automotive equipment and 3 boats. Three enemy fortifications were destroyed.

More than a third of the buildings have been repaired under the first stage of Shoulder To Shoulder initiative. Currently, work is underway on 112 objects. In total, it is planned to rebuild 1,535 homes in 2024. 

A mobile medical brigade conducted ultrasound examinations of residents in Beryslav region. Over four days, about 150 residents underwent examinations of the abdominal cavity, thyroid, mammary glands and pelvis. The doctors of the mobile primary care brigade also provided consultations to locals. 30 residents and displaced persons visited medical workers for consultations.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council sent 5 Mavic 3, 3 Mavic 3 FMC, 3 Mavic 3T, Matrice 30T and a Kia Sorento to the 67th separate mechanized brigades thanks to the funds of city council employees.

The RMA reported that the official opening of a public and socio-cultural space for IDPs called Mystetskyi took place in Volyn Regional Universal Scientific Library named after Olena Pchilka.

Zakarpattia oblast

Regional Action Plan for the Implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 Women, Peace, Security Results-oriented management regional forum was held in Uzhgorod. They discussed the state of implementation of the action plan for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 in the oblast.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast reported that pyrotechnic calculations from Prykarpattia continue to work in Donetsk oblast. Sappers took part in 292 engagements and conducted surveys on an area of ​​515 hectares. They detected and neutralized 599 units of explosive objects.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 23 rotations of pyrotechnic calculations were carried out, with 867 engagements and an examination on an area of ​​1 624 hectares, on which 5 944 units of explosive objects were detected and neutralized.

Lviv oblast

Lviv City Council bought another batch of the most necessary equipment for our defenders for the amount of UAH 8.3 mln at the expense of the community. These are 52 unmanned aerial vehicles. It should be noted that in January-February 2024, Lviv City Hall supported the army for over UAH 119 mln.

Oleh Haievskyi, defender from the village of Krushelnytsia of Skoliv community, Strii region, received Silver Cross award by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A memorial plaque in memory of Serhii Kulyk, Hero of Ukraine, was installed on the facade of Starytskyi school named after Yurii Kostiva in Novoyavorivsk community, where the defender worked as a teacher of physical education and defense of Ukraine. He was killed from bullet wounds on March 3, 2022 during the battles for Hostomel in Kyiv oblast. For his personal courage and heroism, Staff Sergeant Serhii Kulyk was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine with Golden Star Order.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne oblast, they began to apply for psychological help more often. In Rivne, the Mental Health Center continues to provide psychological services to residents of the oblast. Most applications are from women, but children also apply independently. Most often, people are disturbed by bad sleep, bad mood, reluctance to do usual things and anxiety.

In Rivne, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of Lyceum №22 to junior sergeant Bohdan Nikitin, who studied at this educational institution. When the war started, he immediately volunteered to defend Ukraine. The hero was killed on September 14, 2022 in Donetsk oblast.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council sent 50 FPV SAG 7/IX quadcopters worth UAH 667,5K to the defense forces thanks to Defense Capacity community program.

The RMA held a meeting with Davyd Novy, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Lviv. They discussed the issue of expanding bilateral cooperation in the economic, social and cultural spheres.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Students with inclusion attended a lesson from rescuers in the inclusive Safety Classroom of the Training and Methodological Center of Civil Protection and Life Safety of Khmelnytskyi oblast. Children were told about home safety, not to play with fire, to stay away from suspicious objects that could be disguised as explosives, and to always run for cover when an air threat is reported. The printed products of the UNICEF Children’s Fund helped in the lesson.

Chernivtsi oblast

Ivan Haba, defender from Novoselytsk community, received Silver Cross from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. He was a civil servant but after the start of the full-scale invasion he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces. Currently, he defends the Ukrainian land from the russian invaders in Lyman and Kupiansk regions.

France published the list of weapons sent to Ukraine. It states that all supplies meet three criteria: ensuring a full cycle (munitions, training and equipment maintenance), no weakening of the French army and escalation control. The list includes small arms, personal protective equipment, artillery, air defense systems, armored vehicles, trucks, sea boats, drones, aviation fuel and more.

The Ministry of Economy has signed an agreement with Palantir Technologies company, which will use artificial intelligence to assist in demining Ukraine. A special assistant based on an artificial intelligence platform will work with databases that will contain survey data of the State Emergency Service, the number and condition of equipment, the presence of pyrotechnic units in specific areas, and much more. The platform will analyze the information and provide recommendations on how to most effectively clean up a specific area – using new methods, such as drones, or using traditional methods.

In February, the russian federation had the highest average daily military losses since the beginning of the war. According to British intelligence, in February, russian occupation forces lost an average of 983 people per day. According to intelligence, today the russian federation probably has more than 355K servicemen killed and wounded during the war in Ukraine.

Ukrainian soldiers and veterans went to the United States Air Force and Marine Corps Trials 2024 sports competitions. A team of 30 Ukrainians will compete in 9 adaptive sports: archery, athletics, cycling, powerlifting, rowing on simulators, sitting volleyball, swimming, wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby. The competition will be held from March 4 to 16, 2024. For the first time, the Ukrainian national team will participate in the games for American veterans. The organizers of the US Air Force competition invited the Ukrainian team to participate in the selection and demonstrate the impact of adaptive sports on the recovery of veterans and military personnel after injuries.
