It has been the 738th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On March 2, there were 70 combat engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 1 missile and 48 airstrikes, carried out 60 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks resulted in killed and wounded civilians. Residential private and apartment buildings, as well as other infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group were noticed. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Svesa (Sumy oblast). More than 30 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Kliusy (Chernihiv oblast), Bachivsk, Velyka Berizka, Pokrovka, Basivka, Pavlivka (Sumy oblast), Mala Vovcha, Basove, Vovchansk, Starytsya, and Udy (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, the russian army conducted 4 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Tabaivka (Kharkiv oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinity of Berestove (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Dvorichna, Berestove, and Pishchane (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 assaults near Terny, Yampolivka (Donetsk oblast), where the adversary, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, Torske, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks in the vicinities of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to improve their tactical situation. The invaders launched an airstrike near Pivnichne (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, and Vasyukivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonenke, and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast). The enemy launched an airstrike near Niu-York (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Kostiantynivka, Novobakhmutivka, Krasnohorivka, Orlivka, and Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Novopavlivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Pobieda (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders made 22 attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched air strikes near Heorhiivka, Vodyane, Urozhaine and Bohoiavlenka (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 20 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, Kostiantynivka, Vuhledar, and Blahodatne (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Orikhiv, the russian army conducted 1 unsuccessful attack in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The enemy launched airstrikes in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), Verbove, Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20x settlements, including Huliaipole, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Rivnopil, and Piatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, Odesa operational-strategic group,  the occupiers have not abandoned their intention to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. The enemy conducted 1 assault attempt near Krynky (Kherson oblast), to no success. More than 25 settlements, including Kachkarivka, Lvove, Kherson, Stanislav, Tomyna Balka, Inzhenerne and Kozatske (Kherson oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

On March 2, the Ukrainian Air Force launched airstrikes on 8  buildups of enemy troops. The UAF Air Force has shot down a russian Su-34 fighter-bomber.

Oleksii Chernyshov, CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, informs that for the first time, Ukraine has gone through the winter entirely on its own gas. The company plans to continue this trend in the future.

The Ministry of Energy reports that Ukraine has provided emergency assistance to the Polish power system. Ukraine provided assistance from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00 in the total amount of 1540 MWh.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that towards Kupiansk, russia attacked Ukrainian positions four times near Tabaivka. The russian army launched airstrikes near Berestove. At least eight settlements in Kharkiv oblast were under attack.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, informed that during the working visit of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, and Mark Rutte, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, to Kharkiv oblast yesterday, they discussed issues of security cooperation, airspace protection, humanitarian support, bringing those responsible for the downing of Boeing 777 to justice and F-16 coalition.

At around 12:05 am, the invaders struck Kharkiv with Shaheds. The shelling damaged the glazing of windows and balconies, 5 garages, 17 cars and three cars were on fire. There were no casualties and 3 people were treated with acute stress reactions.

Volodymyr Kotkovskyi, Head of the district administration, said that at least 150 windows were broken as a result of a night attack by a russian drone on Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district. 10 houses and a water supply system were damaged.

More than 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were also under enemy artillery and mortar attacks: Okhrymivka, Vilkhuvatka, Hatnie, Topoli, Kozacha Lopan, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, Pishchane and others.

Okhrimivka, Vilkhuvatka, Khatnie, Topolyi, Kyslivka, and Sadove were hit by airstrikes.

Today at 6:35 am, the invaders attacked Lyptsi, Kharkiv region. The shelling destroyed a car and damaged private houses. There were no casualties.

At 12:20 am, a residential building burned down as a result of shelling in Velykyi Burluk village, Kupiansk region. The body of a 76-year-old man was recovered from the rubble. A telecommunications infrastructure building was damaged as a result of the shelling.

At 7:48 pm, 1 private house was damaged as a result of shelling in Kupiansk. The invaders also attacked the outskirts of Kupiansk during the day. According to preliminary information, the enemy used KAB bombs. A 55-year-old volunteer was injured, he received shrapnel wounds and was hospitalised.

At 3:29 pm, a residential building was on fire as a result of shelling in Vovchanski Khutory village, Chuhuiv region.

At 2:20 pm, a house was on fire and 4 other residential buildings damaged as a result of shelling in Vilkhuvatka village, Kupiansk region.

Around 9 am, a 70-year-old man was injured on his way home between Barvinkove town and Arkhanhelivka village as a result of an explosion of an unknown explosive device and hospitalised.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy did not conduct any assault operations.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 23.6 hectares of mines and destroyed 330 explosive ordnance. Mine clearance is ongoing.

Donetsk oblast

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian troops repelled 75 russian attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Most of the fighting was towards Avdiivka and Novopavlivka. The russian army stormed more than 50 times.

The General Staff added that in addition, on 1 March, another russian Su-34 fighter jet was destroyed in the eastern sector.

Towards Volnovakha, 4 houses were damaged in Novoukrainka of Vuhledar community.

Towards Pokrovsk, Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka and Antonivka of Marinka community were shelled with artillery. 4 houses were damaged in Berestky of Kurakhove community.

Towards Kramatorsk, a house was damaged in Zarichne of Lyman community. A power line was cut in Kostiantynivka community.

Towards Bakhmut, a house and 4 garages were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. 2 people were injured, 3 private houses and an apartment building were damaged in Siversk. Pereizne and Verkhnokamianske of Zvanivka community were shelled.

In total, russians shelled settlements in Donetsk oblast 17 times over the day. 544 people, including 57 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that yesterday russians injured two residents in Siversk.

This week, an extremely important project, Ukrposhta. Pharmacy project was launched in Donetsk oblast. Residents of the most remote and frontline settlements have access to the most necessary medicines.

This week, 500.2 tonnes of charitable aid was received by residents of Donetsk oblast. This includes food, bakery products, hygiene products, water tanks, construction materials, medicines, non-food items, including coal. Also charities delivered more than 6,500 6-litre bottles of drinking water this week. In total, since the beginning of the year, the communities have received 8602.4 tonnes of charitable aid.

The press service of Lyman Forestry state enterprise stated that in 2023, Lyman forestry began reforestation work in areas affected by the hostilities. During this time, the forestry workers planted about 55,000 pine seedlings on an area of more than 18 hectares. The company also sold forest products worth UAH 23.3 million.

Myrnohrad City Military Administration said that concrete shelters have been installed near bank branches and institutions.

Residents of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts can join the collection of evidence on ecocide in the regions. Svidok platform, which collects data about the killing of animals and attacks on nature protection areas, mining and soil pollution, attacks on oil depots and plants, fires in fields, etc., is asking for information about the environmental impact of russia’s crimes. The data provided by Ukrainians will be used for a large-scale international campaign by AI for Good charity foundation and Sunflower Collective initiative to draw attention to ecocide.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the offensive on Bilohorivka continues. The enemy is trying to move forward with the support of aviation. Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defence there. Frontline villages are under daily shelling, for instance, yesterday it was Makiivka and Nevske. Bread, food, hygiene products and medicines were delivered to Nevske and Novoliubivka. The residents of settlements close to the contact line in Luhansk oblast are provided with the most necessary things.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk RMA, reported that during house-to-house visits, residents of the so-called “lpr” are being agitated to write requests for voting at home. Specifically, they collect these documents from people with disabilities. At the same time, the election organisers are trying to quickly use the budget funds by adapting voting places for people with limited mobility. The quality of these works will not be checked as most of them have already agreed to vote at home.

In the frontline occupied cities, people are already dissatisfied with low social benefits and high utility bills. But the so-called “People’s Council of lpr” is going to increase utility tariffs this year. They will increase by up to 19% for various types of services from 1 July. The tariff scale for housing and communal services in the occupied Luhansk oblast will increase to russian level. The main task of the invaders is to set economically justified tariffs. There will be no more discounts.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK’s power engineers have restored over 135 kilometres of power lines of various voltage classes in the capital. Since 2022, the company has repaired 40 power facilities in Kyiv. It takes an average of 5-6 hours to restore electricity after shelling. After a massive russian attack in early January, power engineers restored electricity to 260,000 Kyiv residents within four hours.

Kyiv Military Hub has launched mobile teams of social and psychological assistance for combatants and their families. The purpose of their work is to provide crisis and emergency intervention services, first aid, and help combatants and their families overcome crisis and conflict.

According to the Department of Social and Veterans Policy of Kyiv City State Administration, a commission has been set up in Kyiv to interview candidates who want to become veterans’ assistants in adapting to civilian life in the capital. The creation of the commission is one of the steps towards the establishment of a veteran’s assistant institute in Kyiv.

Kyiv City Council has granted permission to allocate a land plot for the Dmytro Kotsiubaylo-Da Vinci Park in the city’s Pechersk district. Last year, more than 20K Kyiv residents supported the idea of creating the Da Vinci Park in the Kyiv Digital app.

Boryspil hosted the first training camp of the All-Ukrainian Children’s and Youth Military Patriotic Game Sokil (Jura) in Ukraine. For three days, training, master classes and various activities were held in three blocks: formation of Ukrainian identity, development of leadership skills, and mastering the skills of jura.

According to Oleksandr Markushyn, Mayor of Irpin, the children from Irpin community prepared and delivered sweets and drawings for Ukrainian soldiers undergoing rehabilitation in a local military hospital. All kindergartens of the Irpin community joined the initiative. 

Zhytomyr oblast

Volodymyr Petrenko, a journalist from Zhytomyr oblast, was killed while defending Ukraine. Before the full-scale invasion, Volodymyr worked as the editor of Polissya.today news resource, and was engaged in volunteering and music. Volodymyr was mobilised into the Armed Forces in December 2023. After the training centre, he was assigned to Kupiansk sector, where he served in a mechanised infantry.

According to Zhytomyr Regional Employment Centre, in 2023 and early 2024, residents of the oblast received almost UAH 130 million in grants to develop their own business. More than half of the grant recipients are women. 

In early February, the Plast Youth Centre of Zhytomyr City Council announced a collection of russian-language books for waste paper. The campaign raised almost UAH 15 thousand, which was used for the Zhytomyr Drone project.

Sumy oblast

According to Sumy RMA, russians fired 11 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 34 explosions. Myropil, Krasnopillia, Trostianets, Velyka Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, Esman, Svesa, Znob-Novhorodske, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.

There were 43 explosions in Velyka Pysarivka community. The enemy damaged houses, cars and infrastructure in Velyka Pysarivka. The new modern therapeutic department, which was opened in November 2022, came under fire. There were no human casualties.

According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, on March 1, 8 artillery shells, 3 fuses and a dynamic armour protection element were found and destroyed in Sumy oblast.

The 117th separate territorial defence brigade reported on Facebook that the Territorial Defence soldiers destroyed  russian equipment using a drone. This equipment was used by russians to dig trenches on the border with Sumy oblast. 

According to the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, an enemy drone was shot down over Sumy oblast at night. 

Okhtyrka community has received humanitarian aid from the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), IOM Ukraine. 400 kits for IDPs contain non-food items to improve living conditions.

Recently, a charity fair was held in Konotop region to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It raised UAH 45K. The amount raised was increased to over UAH 63K through charity concerts. The money was used to buy drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to Viktor Lekhman, Mayor of Krolevets, the community bought a quadcopter for the military.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the North Operational Command, there were 11 attacks (78 explosions) from various types of weapons over the past day. 

According to Liubov Plonsak, senior press officer of Chernihiv border guard detachment, on March 1, russians attacked Semenivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi, Snovsk, and Horodnia communities. 

According to Ichnia City Council, Anatolii Nosok, a soldier from Chernihiv oblast, was awarded the Order for Courage. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that 2 enemy missiles and one Shahed were shot down over the region at night. The missiles were destroyed in Kryvyi Rih and a drone in Novomoskovsk region. Nikopol region was shelled 4 times with artillery. 3 times Marhanets and one more time Chervonohryhorivka communities were hit. They launched a dozen shells. The occupiers were shelling Nikopol region all day long. In Chervonohryhorivka community 2 local residents, aged 65 and 66, were injured. In total, there were 6 attacks in the area during the day. Artillery was used and a kamikaze drone was launched at Nikopol, Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. A transport company, 16 private houses, 12 outbuildings, 2 cars, two dozen solar panels were damaged, a fire broke out in a cafe, and gas pipelines, power lines, fences and greenhouses were damaged.

Mykola Malchenko, an IPD from Donetsk oblast, opened a catering facility in Dnipro with grant funds. Before the full-scale invasion the man had his own business in Sloviansk. However, his business and home were destroyed by the russian military.

Vinnytsia oblast

Parts of a russian X-101 missile were found in a field near a village in Vinnytsia oblast. The fragments scattered within a radius of 200 meters.

A rally, organized by relatives of the military, in support of captured defenders was held in Vinnytsia. The participants formed a “human chain” on both sides of the cityʼs center roadway.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Adzhamka village, Kirovohrad oblast, relatives, friends and fellow villagers met Yevhen Kholodnyi who was released from captivity.The soldier was returned to Ukraine during an exchange on January 31.

Cherkasy oblast

A volunteer from Uman, Natalia Vlasiuk, made and sent a thousand hot water bottles to the front line.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that one person was killed as a result of a russian artillery shelling of the village of Prymorske, Zaporizhzhia oblast.

According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the russian army carried out 306 strikes on six settlements in Zaporizhzhia  oblast on March 1. 79 drones attacked Gulyaypole, Malynivka, Novodanilivka, Levadne, Robotyno and Mala Tokmachka. There were no casualties.

A new exhibition “Struggle for Independence” has opened in the Zaporizhzhia Regional Museum of Local Lore. The exhibition shows the stages of the russian-Ukrainian war since 2014, but the main focus is on the events of the full-scale invasion.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitaliy Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that in Mykolaiv oblast, on March 1, the russian army used artillery to strike Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities. On March 1 the occupiers launched a missile attack on the village of Kotliareve in Shevchenkove community. A fire broke out in a warehouse and equipment on the territory of a farm. The fire was promptly extinguished by firefighters. The shock wave damaged nearby residential buildings. There were no reports of deaths or injuries. 

On March 1, a mobile pharmacy started operating in the Kostiantynivka community of Mykolaiv oblast. It will be visiting five settlements. It is noted that residents of remote villages will be able to receive medicines free of charge, upon a doctor’s referral, under the Affordable Medicines programme. According to Andrii Skorokhod, Head of Mykolaiv regional organisation of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, they plan to increase the number of vehicles to provide medicines to all remote villages in the region. Licensed medicines for the mobile pharmacy are provided by the Red Cross Society.

Odesa oblast

Odesa Regional Military Administration reported that on the night of 1 and 2 March, the russian army attacked Odesa oblast with Shahed-131/136 drones, launched from the Black Sea. Eight drones came almost simultaneously from different directions, attacking the centre of Odesa oblast. Seven drones were shot down. One of them hit a 9-storey residential building in complex manoeuvres over residential areas. In fact, 18 apartments were destroyed to the ground.

Victoria Zhuravska, Spokeswoman for the press service of the State Emergency Service of Odesa oblast, reported that there may be 10-12 people under the rubble of the 9-storey building in Odesa hit by a russian drone on the night of March 2. It is not yet known how long the search operation will last. The ceilings of a part of the building have collapsed and have to be cleared away with heavy machinery. Since there may be people under the rubble, they are doing this carefully. As of 18:45, there are 7 dead, including two children — a three–year–old and a four–month–old boy — and 8 injured. Five people were rescued. Some people are still missing. 

Kherson oblast

According to the prosecutor’s office, in the morning the russian army shelled one of the settlements of Stanislav community with artillery. A 53-year-old man died as a result of a shell explosion in the yard of his house. 

In the afternoon, the russian army fired on Dniprovsky district of Kherson. The shells hit residential buildings. Windows were smashed, walls and furniture were destroyed, and ceilings cut. Two women were injured.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on March 1, russian troops shelled 24 settlements in Kherson oblast. A multi-storey building, 11 private houses, a mobile phone tower and an administrative building in Kherson were damaged. There were no casualties. 

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Volyn oblast sent three Iveco cars to the military. Includes, two cars sent to the 100th separate brigade and the 14th bridge named after Prince Roman the Great, who are in Kupiansk region. Another car sent to the defense forces in Dnipro.

Lutsk City Council continues to promptly respond to requests for equipment from the military. They sent two DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise quadcopters and two EcoFlow Delta charging stations the the A0284 military unit; five DJI Mavic 3 Pro quadcopters and three DJI Mavic 3 Thermal quadcopters to the A4010 military unit; two DJI Mavic 3 Thermal quadcopters and two DJI Mavic 3 Pro quadcopters to the A4714 military unit; one DJI Mavic 3 Thermal quadcopter and two DJI Mavic 3 Pro quadcopters to the A0666 military unit.

Volyn border guards receive 50 cars to the military near Avdiivka thanks to the MK Foundation CF.

Zakarpattia oblast

In Uzhgorod, a memorial plaque was opened to the fallen Hero 40-year-old Anatoli Tehzi  nicknamed Barbarian, on the facade of the lyceum, where the defender studied. The commander of the tactical group Carpathian Sich was killed on July 14, 2023 during an assault on enemy positions. He died as a real hero, saving his brothers before his death.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, on the facade of Lyceum #21 named after Evhenii Konovaltsya, annotation boards were opened to Mykola Kotka and Petro Hrytsyushka.

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that defenders of Ukraine Andrii Vyrstiuk, Yurii Kliuchivskyi and Stepan Melnyk were awarded with For Honor and Victory awards.

Lviv oblast

British farmer Mark Laird and 45 of his friends brought 27 pickup trucks along with tools, shovels, spare tires, medical supplies, clothing, generators, tents, sleeping bags and other humanitarian aid to Lviv oblast for the military.

The Honorary Consulate of the Slovak Republic will open in Lviv. It will be headed by Yurii Peresta.

A new rehabilitation department has opened in Sokal hospital. The department will be able to recover military personnel and patients undergoing stroke rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries and neurological diseases.

Yevhen Dovhan, defender from the village of Snovichi, Zolochiv region, was posthumously awarded with the Hero’s Cross order. He fought as part of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo. The soldier was killed on September 24, 2022.

Three defenders from Strii region were posthumously awarded with the III degree For Courage Order. Roman Liakhovolsk, Bohdan Yurkiv and Rostislav Novitskyi were awarded for their personal courage and selfless actions during the defense of territorial integrity and loyalty to the military oath.

The RMA reported that in Yavoriv region, a Memorial Wall was opened to the fallen soldiers who were graduates of Mostyska school.

An Alley of Heroes was created in Drohobych. It was made on the initiative of artist Khrystyna Solomchak, the wife of the fallen soldier Ruslan Siksoyi. Memorial signs to fallen defenders natives of Drohobych community were placed there. The structure itself was decorated with embroidered ornaments and birds, symbolising the souls of soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

In February, sirens sounded 12 times in Rivne oblast, which is more than twice less than in January. The longest alarm was recorded on February 7, lasting for 2.5 hours. The maximum number of days without alarms is 4, the “mode of silence” lasted February 9-14 and February 21-26. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, there have been 575 air raids in Rivne oblast.

As part of the EU4UASchools: Build Back Better project, the Velikozholud Lyceum was rebuilt. In the first days of the full-scale invasion, the facility suffered serious damage.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that the community sent 60 FPV drones in a set worth UAH 801K for the Special Operations Forces at the front.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that there were explosions in Khmelnytskyi community. Unexploded ammunition was being destroyed.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi City Council reported that the community sent 82 quadcopters, a motorized all-terrain vehicle and a portable radio-electronic means of countering unmanned aerial vehicles to military personnel.

A Memorandum of Partnership and Cooperation between the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, Chernivtsi RMA and Vyzhnytsk City Council was concluded. 40 modular houses will be installed in Vyzhnytsk community.

The RMA held a meeting with volunteers regarding the renewal of the Council of Volunteers in the oblast. In total, there are over 800 public volunteer organizations in Bukovina, with activities aimed at helping military personnel, IDPs, and all those who need support.

The Netherlands will provide a new package of military aid to Ukraine, namely, 14 inflatable boats with a rigid hull (RHIB), 8 militarized river patrol boats and an amphibious assault boat CB90. The Netherlands also allocated €250 mln to the Czech initiative to order a large number of artillery shells for Ukraine in the short term.

To Ukraine, Argentina sent the helicopters received from the russian federation. Javier Millay, Argentine leader, said that he plans to hold a “Latin American support summit” for Ukraine in 2024.

Switzerland joined the 13th package of EU sanctions against russia. The Swiss sanctions list has expanded to include another 106 people and 88 organizations that work in russia’s military-industrial complex and are engaged in the production of missiles, drones, anti-aircraft missile systems and other military equipment.

A bilateral security agreement was signed between Ukraine and the Netherlands. The document calls for EUR 2 bln in military aid from the Netherlands this year, as well as further defense aid over the next ten years. The agreement also defines the priorities of providing assistance in the field of air defense, artillery, naval and long-range means, with a special emphasis on strengthening the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The agreement formalizes the principled position of the Netherlands on strengthening sanctions against russia, forcing it to compensate for damages and bring the aggressor to justice. According to the document, the Netherlands also supports Ukraine’s future membership in the EU and NATO.

Canada allows the possibility of placing its instructors on the territory of Ukraine to train the military. Bill Blair, Canadian Defense Minister, allowed the possibility that Canadian instructors could return to Ukraine to train Ukrainian soldiers under certain conditions, but it “must be done quite carefully and in a limited way.”

Britain will extend visas for Ukrainian refugees until 2026. Ukrainians who left due to the full-scale russian invasion will be able to stay in the UK until September 2026 after receiving an 18-month visa under a new extension scheme.

In Germany, rock bands, writers and actors gathered together and organized a series of events together with Bamberg:UA to raise funds to help Ukrainian defenders. Thanks to the collected funds, 6 ambulances cars, one high-passability evacuation truck and one bus equipped for transporting the wounded were handed over to the soldiers.

Fragments of weapons painted by children-volunteers from Volyn were presented in the Lithuanian parliament. Works of children from Volyn oblast were combined into an exhibition called Colors of Steel.
