It has been the 506th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

Thousands of Ukrainian civilians are being held in prisons across russia and in the territories it occupies. These are the findings of an investigation conducted by the Associated Press. Ukrainian citizens are being tortured, subjected to psychological violence and even slave labour. According to the agency, the former prisoners told about torture: beatings to the point of fractures, electric shocks, and imitations of suffocation. Many claimed to have witnessed the deaths.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

During the day, the russian occupiers launched another missile and air strike on the territory of Ukraine, using 17 Iranian-made Shahed attack drones and one anti-aircraft guided missile from the S-300 air defense system. As a result of the successful combat work of anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, mobile firing groups of the Air Force and air defense of other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, 16 drones were destroyed. 

In addition, the russian forces conducted 43 airstrikes and fired 17 times from multiple launch rocket systems. 

There is still a high threat of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine. 

The russian military continues to focus their main efforts on the directions towards Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka. Heavy fighting continues. There were about 20 combat engagements.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the situation sectors remained unchanged. There were no signs of offensive groups forming. Certain units of the Armed Forces of belarus are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine. 

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains a military presence. During the day, he conducted an air strike near Radkivka, Sumy oblast. More than 15 settlements, including Karpovychi and Kamen in Chernihiv oblast ; Malushyne, Boiary-Lezhachi in Sumy oblast and Kozacha Lopan, Neskuchne, Ternova in Kharkiv oblast came under fire.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian troops are holding steadfastly.  Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kamianka, Kyslivka, Berestove, and Fiholivka in Kharkiv oblast came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Lyman, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives west of Dibrova in Luhansk oblast and east of Novosadove in Donetsk oblast over the last day. More than 10 settlements came under artillery fire, including Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Torske, Verkhnekamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, under heavy fire from enemy aircraft and artillery, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all enemy attacks near Berkhivka, Donetsk oblast. More than 10 settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, Oleksandr-Shultine, Diliivka and Pivnichne in Donetsk oblast. 

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the vicinity of Pervomaiske. There were airstrikes in the areas of Avdiivka and Pervomaiske, Donetsk oblast. At the same time, the enemy shelled over 10 settlements, including Berdychi, Lastochkine and Avdiivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the russian offensive in the vicinity of Mariinka. The enemy fired at more than 10 localities, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobeda and Heorhiivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives near Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast . They shelled the settlements of Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Novoukrainka, Blahodatne and Bohoiavlenka.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing further advance of our troops. There were air strikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka in Zaporizhzhia oblast and Hrozove in Kherson oblast. More than 20 settlements were shelled, including Vilne Pole, Mala Tokmachka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, and Bilohiria in Zaporizhzhia oblast; Antonivka, Tiahynka, Chornobaivka, Mykilske in Kherson oblast and the city of Kherson. At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct offensive operations towards Melitopol and Berdiansk, consolidating their positions, inflicting artillery fire on the enemy targets identified, and conducting counter-battery operations.

Aviation of the defense forces carried out 13 strikes on buildups of enemy personnel and 1 on the  anti-aircraft missile system.

Rocket and artillery units destroyed 9 artillery pieces at firing positions.


Oleh Kotenko, Commissioner for Persons Missing in Special Circumstances, informs that the bodies of 62 fallen Ukrainian defenders were returned. Four out of 62 people died in enemy captivity as a result of injury, illness and inadequate medical care. The bodies of the victims will be handed over to their families for a decent burial after identification. 

Colonel Mykola Urshalovych of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports that over the past week, Ukrainian troops advanced by 1700 meters in the Melitopol sector. Ukrainian defenders are advancing in the face of dense enemy mining of the approaches to their positions and powerful firepower.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian forces shelled the villages of Kozacha Lopan and Neskuchne in Derhachi and Lypetsk communities with mortars and artillery. At least 9 settlements in Kharkiv oblast came under fire.

The russian forces continued to shell settlements in Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Izyum and Kupiansk regions, namely Muravske, Oliinykove, Riznykove, Bolohivka, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, Kupiansk and other regions.

In the areas of Kyslivka and Kotliarivka in Kupiansk region, russian occupiers launched an airstrike.

No casualties or injuries among the civilian population have been reported.

Demining operations continue. The State Emergency Service inspected an area of more than 14 hectares and neutralized 87 ordnance. 

Donetsk oblast

According to the Military Media Center, Ukrainian forces continue to advance towards Bakhmut and have achieved success towards the village of Andriivka, south of Bakhmut. 

The most active hostilities on the eastern front continue towards Bakhmut and Lyman, and Kupiansk. The russian army launched over 1000 artillery strikes there. However, Ukrainian forces destroyed about 400 occupiers, three tanks, and other heavy weaponry.

Armed Forces of Ukraine servicemen identified and destroyed a buildup of russian military near Bakhmut in Donetsk oblast. Three russian soldiers were killed and four others injured.

It is reported that russian forces attempted to attack Marinka in Donetsk oblast 15 times within 24 hours. The occupiers were defeated and retreated. Additionally, the russian army shelled 10 settlements in this direction.

The National Guard of Ukraine are preparing to expand their foothold for the offensive towards Avdiivka. Currently, the soldiers are focusing their efforts on conducting assault-search, counter-sabotage, and reconnaissance operations in this area of the front.

The photo exhibition Chronicle of Theatrical Life in Mariupol was opened in Kyiv at the Mariupol State University by Olha Demidko from Mariupol. She brought the photographs from the occupied city of Mariupol, controlled by the russian armed forces. In total, she presented 30 photographs from the private archives of artists, collections of Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theatre and Mariupol Local Lore Museum. The girl says she started collecting photos in 2015 and managed to take them out of the blockaded Mariupol. There are 1668 photos in total.

The russian army conducted 17 airstrikes on civilian areas using aviation, multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) such as Uragan, Smerch, Grad, and artillery.

Towards Volnovakha, the russians damaged utility buildings in Bohoyavlentsi and shelled Vuhledar 26 times with artillery.

Towards Donetsk, the enemy shelled Hostre of Kurakhove community twice, causing no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, in Toretsk community, one person was injured, and three houses were damaged in Shcherbynivka. Two buildings were damaged in Niu York. In Chasiv Yar community, 1 person was injured, and 3 private houses and an apartment building were damaged. Ten buildings were damaged in Kleban-Bik of Illinivska community. A house was damaged in Kostiantynivka, and Predtechine was shelled.

Towards Lysychansk, one person was injured in Siversk, and 4 infrastructure objects damaged. Lyman community was shelled 10 times

According to  Pavlo Kyrylenko, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Civil Administration, the russian forces killed one resident in Pervomaisk. Another four people were injured.

Luhansk oblast

The russian forces are shelling the settlements on the front line with all the weapons available, from mortars to missile systems. Recently, Nevske was hit by an S-300 missile, destroying one of the buildings. It was empty because its owner had already left. On July 13, the enemy attacked the village from the air, just like in Bilohorivka. The same settlements were hit by artillery.

Near Nevske, the russians tried to launch an assault, but failed. It is dangerous for civilians to stay there.

Luhansk Regional Military Administration reports that the occupiers do not purchase special vehicles for the cities they had captured and destroyed last year. What survived the russian invasion is working. For example, in Rubizhne, only two ambulances are rescuing people. It is impossible to call them because there is no connection like in the neighboring cities. You need to come to the hospital and beg to go to the patient.

In Sievierodonetsk, the russians decided to forcefully mobilize people in lines of state institutions, namely when receiving administrative or banking services. They are granted only if you have a russian passport, so you can go to the military registration and enlistment office right away. Patrols are already on duty.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

93 houses will be rebuilt from scratch under the Program for the Restoration of Private Houses Destroyed as a Result of Hostilities in Kyiv Oblast for 2022-2023. Construction works are planned in five regions of the oblast. This was reported by Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, during the opening ceremony of one of the houses in Dmytrivka village, Borodianka community.

The decision regarding the payment of over UAH 64 million under the eVidnovnennia (Restoration) program has been approved in Kyiv oblast. In total, more than 6 K applications have been submitted since the launch of the government program. About 800 applications have already been approved. The aid is provided to people whose houses are habitable but require the replacement of windows, doors, and roof repairs.

Kyiv City State Administration reported that local rescuers have dismantled damaged structures in a high-rise building in Darnytsia district that was damaged by a russian night attack on July 13. In particular, rescuers used high-altitude equipment to dismantle the damaged external elements of the building’s facade and dismantle emergency window and balcony blocks at the level of 24-25 floors.

De-russification is underway in Kyiv, with 14 more city sites renamed after names associated with russia and its satellites. This decision was adopted at a meeting of the City Council.

The Kyiv City Council has imposed a moratorium on the public use of russian-language cultural products in the capital. According to the Kyiv City Council, the Ukrainian information space needs to be protected from the hybrid influences of the hostile state, trying to destroy the Ukrainian national identity, culture, traditions, customs, and historical memory.

A peaceful action named 222 was held in front of Kyiv City State Administration. The participants of the event want to draw attention to the animals that suffered from the war and died during the occupation. In Borodшanka village near Kyiv, 485 animals from a local shelter were abandoned and spent four weeks without water and food in locked enclosures – 222 dogs died of hunger and thirst. During the campaign, volunteers of animal protection organizations who evacuated the animals the day after the de-occupation created a performance – they put 222 items of the tortured dogs in Borodyanka (bowls, leashes, collars) in front of the City State Administration to commemorate them.

Zhytomyr oblast

The City Council reported that four apartment buildings will be built in Zhytomyr with grant funds from the European Commission to accommodate 400 internally displaced persons. The estimated number of apartments is at least 110. The funds will also be used to purchase basic furniture and household appliances. The residential building will be commissioned in 2024.

Vitaliy Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, over a year and a half, more than 70% of facilities damaged by russian shelling have been restored in Zhytomyr oblast. According to him, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the oblast has suffered more than 100 missile and bomb attacks, which damaged more than 4,000 homes and buildings.

According to the Northern Border State Border Guard Service, Aircraft fleet of Zhytomyr oblast border guards has been supplemented with new quadcopters. Due to the community of the oblast and the Zhytomyr City Council, border guards have received two DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters and one DJI Matrice 30 Enterprise worth almost 800 thousand hryvnias. This will strengthen the protection and defense of Ukraine’s borders.

Sumy oblast

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that on July 13, the russians opened fire 23 times at the border areas. In total, there were 176 explosions. Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Krasnopillia, Seredyno-Buda, Shalyhine, Hlukhiv, Putivl, Khotin, Nova Sloboda, Znob-Novhorodske, and Esman communities were shelled. 

At night and in the morning, the russian military opened fire 3 times at the border areas. There were 15 explosions recorded: Yunakivka community was attacked with mortars; 5 explosions were recorded. Khotin community suffered 5 explosions. The russian federation army attacked Nova Sloboda community with artillery systems (5 explosions). There were no casualties or damage.

Sumy oblast remains under constant enemy fire. The enemy is constantly attacking with artillery systems, MLRS, mortars, and air strikes. 2 reconnaissance UAVs were spotted in the sky over Sumy oblast.

In Konotop region, a tractor driver ignored a “Danger Mines” sign, drove into a restricted area and ran into an explosive object. As a result of the explosion, agricultural machinery was damaged and the tractor driver was injured. 

The regional territorial defense headquarters decided to strengthen security measures in Sumy oblast through patrolling. The patrols will be carried out by the National Guard of Ukraine in cooperation with law enforcement agencies and other military formations in Sumy oblast. 

The Regional Military Administration reported that in Sumy and Okhtyrka regions, EOD specialists of the State Emergency Service found and destroyed 2 artillery shells and a grenade launcher round.

According to Lyudmyla Musiyaka, Director of the Department of Social Protection, and Yuriy Kalinovsky, head of the Children’s Service, 10 children are going to Artek in July, as well as to the United States and Germany. Moreover, 73 children of socially vulnerable categories are waiting to leave for Poland. Following the amendments to the Regional Targeted Social Program for Children’s Health and Recreation 2023, it is planned to rehabilitate 670 children in Ukrainian recreation camps at the expense of the oblast budget.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that the russians opened fire nine times in Chernihiv oblast. As of the morning of July 14,  67 mortar and artillery shells were fired on the territory of Semenivka, Snovsk, and Novhorod-Siverskyi communities.

The For the Defense of Chernihiv medal  will be awarded to more than 500 people – 350 military personnel and 174 employees of healthcare institutions. This decision was adopted at a meeting of the executive committee of the City Council. 34 servicemen out of 350 will receive the award posthumously.

More than 30 units of the latest rehabilitation equipment for patients after serious injuries and diseases have been successfully used for several months at Chernihiv City Hospital No. 4. The equipment was obtained thanks to cooperation with the Ministry of Health and philanthropists. According to Larysa Kadina, Head of the neurological department, the number of patients in need of recovery from war injuries has increased significantly since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. More than 700 patients have undergone therapy here.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the regional council  russians hit Kryvyi Rih with drones at night. The Air Defence Forces shot down 6 shaheds. A 56-year-old man was wounded. The strike damaged a utility and transport company. An administrative building was destroyed, some buildings, cars and equipment damaged. During the night, the enemy also shelled Velyka Mykhailivka community in Sinelnykove region with artillery. A warehouse, a private house and a power line were damaged.  In the morning, the enemy attacked Nikopol region with a drone. They targeted Marhanets community.

14 July marks six months since the tragedy at the Peremoha residential estate in Dnipro. On 14 January, a russian X-22 missile hit a nine-storey building. 46 people were killed and over 80 injured. Two entrances were destroyed, and about 400 apartments damaged.

A 10-year-old Japanese volunteer, Mirai Shiraishi, arrived in Dnipropetrovsk oblast. The girl met with Ukrainian children. Near a high-rise building in Dnipro, which was hit by an enemy missile, Mirai and her Ukrainian peers paid tribute to the murdered children.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia City Council reported that hundreds of local residents came to commemorate the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack on 14 July 2022 when russians killed 29 Vinnytsia residents, including three children – 4-year-old Liza Dmytrieva, 7 -year-old Maksym Zhariy and 8-year-old Kyrylo Piakhin. A memorial sign to the victims of rocket attacks on Vinnytsia was officially unveiled on Victory Square. 

A regional screening of the Forum theatre took place in Vinnytsia, where the play called “Boomerang” was staged. It highlighted the stories of families with children who had to leave their homes due to the russian invasion. The event was part of the Uniting for Action programme implemented by IREX together with the Stabilization Support Services charity supported by the US State Department.

Kirovohrad oblast

According to Andrii Raikovych, Head of the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration, builders from Novoukrainka region, Znamianka, Ustynivka, and the city of Dolynske in Kirovohrad oblast have begun to repair damaged houses for residents of Mala Oleksandrivka village in Kherson oblast within the framework of the Plich-o-plich (Side by Side)  project.

Poltava oblast

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, four quadcopters suitable for night vision were handed over to the military from Poltava oblast. 

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional State Administration, 47 utility workers from Poltava oblast arrived in Kherson to help local residents prepare for the heating season. They also sent the necessary plumbing equipment – washbasins, mixers, taps, and pipes provided by socially responsible businesses.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On July 13, the enemy conducted 63 shelling attacks on 21 settlements. 54 artillery strikes targeted Orikhove, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Bilohiria, Levadne, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, and ten other frontline villages. Additionally, 6 strikes from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) were launched on Orikhove, Verkhnia Tersa, Novodarivka, and Chervone, two missile strikes on Malokaterinivka, and an airstrike on Orikhove. As a result of enemy shelling, four individuals were injured, and one person killed. 52 reports were received regarding the destruction of residential buildings, economic structures, warehouses, and social infrastructure facilities.

It is reported that russian occupiers, violating international humanitarian law, continue to seize medical and children’s recreational facilities in the temporarily occupied territories. The enemy is using one of the buildings of the municipal hospital in Berdiansk to accommodate their wounded terrorists.

The intentions of the russians to put the fourth power unit of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant into a “hot shutdown” state pose additional risks to nuclear and radiation safety. The State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine emphasized that the equipment of the power unit has been idle for a long time without proper regulatory maintenance and repair, which is crucial for safety.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported a request to the President of Ukraine for the awarding of the title Hero City of Ukraine to Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will make a submission to the President to approve or reject the proposal.

Mykolaiv oblast

The ‘South’ Operational Command reports that on July 14, at around 02:00, two Shahed-136/131 UAVs were destroyed in Mykolaiv oblast by the air defense forces. Also yesterday the enemy shelled Ochakiv community. There were no casualties reported. 

A private company is constructing the first demining vessel in Mykolaiv at its own expense. It will be handed over to the State Emergency Service. The plan is to manufacture a total of 15 such vessels. This was disclosed by the Director of Government Relations and Sustainable Development of Nubilon Company, Mykhailo Rizak, during a meeting with the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Karel Burger Dirven.

Andrii Kuziuk, Head of the Atmospheric Air State Control Department of the State Environmental Inspectorate of the South-Western District in Mykolaiv oblast, says that as of July, the damages inflicted on the protected area of Kinburn Spit in Mykolaiv oblast due to the russian military aggression amount to UAH 15.6 bln. According to him, the total area of the Kinburn Peninsula affected by fire currently amounts to 3,709 hectares. This includes the National Park Biloberizhzhia Sviatoslava and the regional landscape park Kinburn Spit. The final calculation of the damages inflicted on Kinburn Spit can only be made after the peninsula is de-occupied and all its territories are cleared of mines.

Odesa oblast

Last night, the enemy attacked the territory of Ukraine with kamikaze drones, attempting to take advantage of challenging weather conditions, including thunderstorms. According to the ‘South’ Operational Command, a total of 17 Shahed 136/131 UAVs were launched by the occupiers. However, despite difficult weather conditions and the darkness, the air defense forces managed to shoot down 16 of them. Specifically, 8 enemy drones were downed over Odesa oblast.

A new psychological support center called Equilibrium has opened in Odesa. Clinical psychologists, trauma-focused psychotherapists, psychiatrists, neurologists, and family doctors will work there. Consultations will be available for both adults and children. Also, services for military personnel and their families will be available.

It is stated that russian strikes on Zmiinyi (Snake) Island have resulted in a new wave of dolphin deaths. Ecologists have discovered the carcasses of these marine mammals on the coast of the Black Sea in Odesa. Scientists have recorded the deaths of at least 5K Black Sea dolphins after the full-scale invasion of the russian forces into Ukraine and the increased presence of russian military vessels in the Black Sea.

Kherson oblast

On July 13, the enemy conducted 76 shelling attacks, firing 487 projectiles from mortars, artillery, tanks, Grad systems, aircraft, and UAVs. The city of Kherson was targeted with 40 projectiles. russian forces deliberately aimed at residential areas of the region, an administrative building in Novooleksandrivka community, the territory of two enterprises, and a garage cooperative in Kherson oblast. As a result of the russian aggression, one person was killed, and another one injured. The police have initiated 17 criminal investigations regarding war crimes committed by the russians in Kherson oblast.

 Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense and Security Forces of the South, informs that on July 13, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated four radio-electronic warfare stations and two video surveillance points of the russian army. She stated that the russian federation has increased the number of shelling attacks on the right bank to over 70, indicating a rotation and logistics capability on their side, albeit complicated. It is also known that russian military personnel are using upper floors in the  settlements where water has not yet receded to position mortar and machine gun crews, thus intensifying the shelling on the opposite bank.

It is stated that russian occupiers continue to practice forced resettlement and violent assimilation of Ukrainians in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The occupiers have started the forced eviction of Ukrainian citizens to russia in Henichesk region, particularly families with children and elderly individuals who have not obtained or refused to accept russian citizenship. These areas are then resettled by representatives of national minorities from impoverished regions of the russian federation.

Researchers from Kherson Regional Art Museum have identified another painting from their collection that was taken to occupied Crimea by the russians in late October 2022. The painting by Serhii Iakobchuk was spotted in a photograph from the Central Museum of Tavrida in Simferopol during the signing of the so-called ‘preservation agreement’ on April 1, 2023.

After the explosion caused by russian terrorists at the Kakhovka HPP, natural gas distribution has been restored for 90% of users affected by the flooding. Work is still ongoing for an additional 1,600 consumers. During this time, international organizations have directed over UAh 23 mln in monetary aid to 3,502 residents of the region.

As part of the Shoulder-to-Shoulder project, approximately 380 houses damaged by russian projectiles in the village of Pravdyne of Bilozerka community will be repaired. Social facilities such as schools, clinics, cultural centers, and village councils will also be restored. Currently, there are two construction teams working in Pravdyne, consisting of 12 workers.

Another humanitarian cargo with materials for repair work has been sent to Beryslav region. A total of 18.6 cubic meters of lumber has been delivered for house repairs in the settlements of Novooleksandrivka and Novovorontsovka communities.

The RMA held a meeting with Christian Cherner, an investor from Austria. They discussed promising areas of cooperation, in particular in the field of solid household waste management, sustainability, and the use of alternative energy sources.

45 children of soldiers from Ivano-Frankivsk community went on a two-week vacation to Rybnik for free. These are the children of military personnel who were killed, injured or are currently defending Ukraine at the front. 

The RMA reported that as part of the Care for the Hero’s Family project, an excursion tour was organized for the parents of the fallen defenders to Hoshiv Monastery and the Narrow Gauge Heritage Center in Vygoda.

Lviv oblast

The RMA held a meeting with the Polish delegation from the Pomeranian Voivodeship led by  Vice Marshal Leszek Bonna. They discussed treatment of wounded Ukrainians, cooperation between medical facilities of the Pomeranian Voivodeship and Lviv oblast, and Ukraine’s accession to the EU and NATO.

Lviv, the Korean company SAMSUNG and Onur LLC will cooperate in the field of construction and infrastructure projects. In Warsaw, representatives of parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation Intentions.

A 17-tonnes humanitarian cargo (7 generators of various capacities, 8 pallets of personal hygiene products and 8 pallets of long-term storage products) and an ambulance were sent from Lviv oblast to Luhansk RMA thanks to the Marsalkow Government of the Lublin Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland.

40 children of servicemen and soldiers who died fighting for Ukraine left Lviv oblast for a vacation in France thanks to the cooperation of the Department of Social Protection of the Population of Lviv oblast, the European Shelter NGO and the authorities of the Occitania region.

Pustomyty community received technical equipment, namely: a laptop, eight tablets, SIM cards for them and licensed software, from the International Organization for Migration thanks to the Human Dimension: Effective Management Using Data and Community Involvement project.

Chervonohrad Center of Social and Psychological Assistance received an inclusive car thanks to the Government of Denmark, the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine and the Butterfly CF.

The RMA reported that the choir chapel and choir school Dudaryk collected UAH 500K for the UNBROKEN KIDS Rehabilitation Center. To raise funds, the children went on a big tour of Germany and Latvia.

The RMA reported that organizers of the children’s charity festival Future of Ukraine. Survive, which was held in Lviv district, donated UAH 500 K to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting with the delegation of the Pomeranian Voivodeship from Poland. They discussed cooperation in the economy, advanced technologies, and environmental protection.

Another humanitarian cargo, including medical products, mattresses, crutches, hygiene products, tools, steel plates, bed linen, arrived in Rivne oblast from the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada. Also Chevrolet Silverado SUV was given to the military.

Three IVECO vehicles were sent from Rivne oblast for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They were purchased and repaired with the funds collected by teams of the regional hospital, Rivnegaz JSC, Rivne Agribusiness Club and other patrons. In total, it was possible to collect UAH 1 340 K.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil Regional Children’s Library received a gift from the front line – a trident made of shell casings on a wooden board. The work of art was created by soldiers of the 1st platoon of the 83rd battalion of the 105th brigade of the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council held a meeting of the executive committee. 90 agenda items were adopted, including UAH 42 mln earmarked for military units based in the community. Over 50 military personnel will receive compensation of 50% of the cost of training; sent humanitarian aid worth UAH 4,5 million to a number of divisions and to Kherson oblast for almost 4.5, etc.

From Khmelnytskyi, 7 different quadcopters (4 units of DJI Mavic 3, 2 units of DJI Mavic 3T, a powerful DJI MATRICE multicopter complex, with additional equipment) worth UAH 1.2 million  were sent to the territorial defense brigade. The aid was provided at the expense of taxpayers.

The RMA reported that a high-terrain vehicle was sent to the military on the front line thanks to benefactors.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi RMA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Carpathian Region NEEKA International Health and Environmental Fund. The document will help to unite efforts and contribute to solving the problems of IDPs.

Novodnistrovsk and Novoselytsk communities became the winners of the campaign “We are at Home – in Ukraine DECIDE Summer Clubs”. The Development of Civic Competences in Ukraine public organization, as part of the implementation of the Decentralization for the Development of Democratic Education Swiss-Ukrainian DECIDE project, selected territorial communities to create summer clubs involving IDP children.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine, announced that Ukraine will receive over €1.5 billion in military aid from its international partners based on the results of the NATO summit in Vilnius. Long-range SCALP missiles, Leopard tanks, additional Patriots, F-16 pilot training are just some of the things that can be announced publicly, the minister said.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the President’s Office, announced that ten countries have already joined the declaration of support for Ukraine, approved by the G7 members. According to him, as of July 14, in addition to the G7, Denmark, Spain, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Finland, Iceland, Belgium and Portugal joined the implementation of the document.

The European Parliament adopted the Act to support the production of ammunition. The €500 million plan is supposed to speed up the supply of artillery ammunition and missiles to Ukraine and help EU member states replenish their stockpiles.

The EU will allocate over €4.6 million to Ukraine for projects in the field of health care within the framework of the EU4Health program.

Bulgaria will provide Ukraine with a package of military aid, including 100 armored vehicles from the stocks of the Bulgarian police, mainly infantry transport vehicles. This was Sofia’s first official decision to help Kyiv with heavy equipment.

Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense, announced that Denmark sent 6 drones for land and water mine detection to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Lloyd Austin, Head of the Pentagon, announced that the US will help in demining areas where cluster shells were used.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa. They discussed the return of children illegally deported by russia.

Since the war began, evacuation flights for affected citizens have been ongoing, organized as part of the cooperation of the Ministry of Health with the European Commission and WHO. In general, thanks to such cooperation, it has already been possible to send 3 949 Ukrainians abroad for treatment and/or rehabilitation.

It is reported russia and belarus were not invited due to the sanctions that the International Olympic Committee imposed against them due to the full-scale aggression against Ukraine. The invitation to the National Olympic Committees will be sent out on July 26, one year before the start of the Olympics. 203 National Olympic Committees have been invited to participate in the Games.

NATO has developed defense plans in the event of an attack by the russian federation. The description of the plan took 4,4K pages. According to Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, the developed document is “the largest defense plan since the end of the Cold War“.

US President Joe Biden has authorized the Pentagon to send up to 3K reserve forces to Europe amid russia’s war in Ukraine. In total, the US has over 100K troops in Europe, and that number has grown since the start of a full-scale russian invasion in February 2022.
