The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
During the day, 42 combat clashes took place. In total, the enemy carried out 2 missile and 29 air strikes, carried out 19 attacks from rocket salvo systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Private residential and multi-apartment buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
On the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Certain units of the Armed Forces of Belarus perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Vilcha and Vilkhuvatka settlements of the Kharkiv region. More than 30 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks, among them Gremyachka, Chernihiv region; Fotovyzh, Rodionivka, Volfine, Vysoke, Seredyna Buda of the Sumy region; Gatishche, Pletenivka, Zemlianka, Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyan direction, the Defense Forces repelled 5 attacks near Synkivka, Kharkiv region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy also carried out an airstrike in the Petropavlivka area of the Kharkiv region. About 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, in particular, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Petropavlivka, Berestovka of the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, our defenders repelled 3 attacks east of Terni and Vesely, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve their tactical position. The enemy also carried out an airstrike in the Serebryansk Forestry area of Luhansk Oblast. More than 15 settlements were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling, among them Nevske of Luhansk region and Torske, Hryhorivka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne of Donetsk region.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack near Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, in particular, Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 9 enemy attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Severny and another 10 attacks near Pervomaisky and Nevelsky in the Donetsk region. Here the occupiers unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical position. About 15 settlements, including Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, Severne, and Nevelske of the Donetsk region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Mariinsky direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Maryinka and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried 7 times to break through the defenses of our troops and carried out more than 20 airstrikes in the Novomykhailivka area of Donetsk region. Such settlements of the Donetsk region as Georgiivka, Pobyeda, Novomykhailivka, Kostyantynivka came under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Shakhtarsky direction. Shelled more than 10 settlements with artillery and mortars, among them Vugledar, Vodyane, Zolota Niva, Urozhane of the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders repulsed 4 attacks near Robotynoye and west of Verbovoye in the Zaporizhzhia region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to restore the lost position. About 20 settlements, including Olhivske, Charivne, Biloghirya, Robotyne, Pyatikhatki of the Zaporizhia region, were hit by artillery and mortar fire.
In the zone of responsibility of the “Odesa” air defense system in the Kherson direction, the regional center of the Kherson region was hit by artillery fire from the enemy. The enemy also shelled the areas of Tyaginka, Ivanivka, Krynka, and Kizomys settlements of the Kherson region from rocket salvo systems.
The enemy does not give up his intention to knock out our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper. Thus, during the day, the enemy carried out 10 unsuccessful assault actions, but Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions and inflict significant losses on the enemy.
During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 7 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. Also, the forces and means of air defense of Ukraine destroyed the guided air missile Kh-59.
Units of the missile forces inflicted damage on 2 areas of the concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, a control post, an ammunition depot and an enemy radio-electronic warfare station.
872 cultural heritage sites damaged due to full-scale Russian invasion. 120 of these objects are of national importance. The cultural objects of the Kharkiv region were the most destroyed, followed by Odesa region and Donetsk region in third place.
More than 24.5% of the territory has been demined in the de-occupied Kherson region. More than 800 pyrotechnicians inspect the Kherson region every day, while in March of last year there were 80 of them. This was reported by the head of the Kherson OVA Oleksandr Prokudin.
For the first time, the state contracted the robotic turrets of Chabl. Saber is a bullet-proof automated machine gun system that helps soldiers destroy the enemy remotely. Thanks to remote operation, the turret saves the life and health of machine gunners. This is an innovation and an example of a weapon of modern warfare. The development has moved from a startup to a permanent project contracted by the state. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science and Technologies — Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian troops repelled 48 russian attacks in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. Most of the fighting was towards Avdiivka. Also russian troops launched airstrikes on nine settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
Kharkiv oblast
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that at around 11 pm, russian invaders launched two S-300 missiles at Kharkiv from the territory of Belgorod. The children’s health centr, a medical building, the canteen building were damaged and the territory of the institution destroyed.
During the day, the invaders attacked more than 17 settlements in the region: Udy, Vesele, Slobozhanske of Kharkiv region, Vovchansk, Mala Vovcha of Chuhuiv region, Kupiansk, Ivanivka of Kupiansk region. Vesele, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Tabaivka, Pishchane, Berestove of Kupiansk region suffered airstrikes.
At around 9:30 am, hostile shelling damaged power line poles in Slobozhanske village, Kharkiv region. There were no casualties.
As a result of the repeated shelling in Slobozhanske village, the building of the village council, windows, roof, fence, walls and the adjacent neighbouring building were damaged. There were no casualties.
Ukrainian defenders repelled 8 enemy attacks near Synkivka.
Combined units cleared 3.9 hectares of mines and destroyed 295 explosive ordnance.
Serhii Bolvinov, Head of Kharkiv Police Investigation Department, informed that two craters with a depth of two and almost three metres were formed at the site of the hits to the camp in Kyivskyi district. According to him, the strike damaged the
canteen building, boiler room, administrative building and medical centre. Law enforcers collected missile fragments at the site of the strikes.
Pavlo Holodnikov, Zmiiv Mayor, said that about 100 houses were damaged by missile attacks on the city on 8 January. According to him, people are being offered compensation through the yeVidnovlennia programme or funds from the city council to repair minor damage themselves. Residents can also receive building materials such as OSB boards, slate and tarpaulin.
Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv Mayor, stated that all concrete structures have been installed in the underground school being built in Industrialnyi district, and work is ongoing on water and heat insulation, sewage and water supply systems and ventilation. According to him, if the contractors continue to work at the same pace, the first classes in the underground school could start as early as March. Terekhov also announced the construction of another underground school in downtown Kharkiv.
There are 898 Invincibility Centres in Kharkiv oblast, which can accommodate almost 40,000 people.
Donetsk oblast
The press service of Donetsk police reported that russian invaders shelled the residential sector 11 times. 8 settlements were under attack: Avdiivka, Kurakhove cities, Hostre, Niu-York, Shcherbynivka settlements, Berdychi, Novobakhmutivka and Orlivka villages. Also russian army used KAB-250 guided bombs, Grad multiple rocket launchers and artillery against civilians. 8 private houses were damaged.
According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Volnovakha, an agricultural enterprise was damaged in Novoukrainka of Vuhledar community.
Towards Pokrovsk, a person was injured in Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka and Katerynivka of Marinka community were shelled. Kurakhove community was under attack three times and as a result, a house in Hostre was damaged and the industrial area of Kurakhove hit. A mine was shelled in Hrodivka community.
Towards Kramatorsk, Lyman community suffered 9 attacks: 6 in Yampil, 2 in Torske and 1 in Zarichne.
Towards Bakhmut, in Toretsk community, 1 person was injured and 5 houses damaged. Another house was damaged in Shcherbynivka. 10 private houses, an administrative building and an industrial building were damaged in Chasiv Yar community.

Investigators and forensic experts continue to examine body fragments recovered from the sites of the 6 January missile attack. So far, they have identified four of the victims in Rivne: a three-year-old girl, her father and mother, aged 32 and 30, and a 59-year-old grandmother, and three in Pokrovsk: a 34-year-old man and two women, aged 37 and 39. The identification is ongoing. Police are yet to identify four more victims.
The press service of Donetskoblhaz reported that in Pokrovsk and Rivne, russian missile attacks on 6 January damaged more than 200 metres of gas pipeline and left more than 50 houses without gas supply. Currently, repairs have been completed in Pokrovsk and six private houses in Rivne connected to gas supply.
Luhansk oblast
According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy is gradually destroying Nevske. Two more households were destroyed. Over the past two weeks, at least twelve houses are beyond repair after enemy shelling. Some damages are not immediately detected as some parts of the village, where there is no longer any population, can be reached only when the enemy is completely silent, which is extremely rare.
Almost every day, the invaders organise air raids on Serebrianka forest and shell Bilohorivka.
The new payphones installed in Lysychansk are likely to be disconnected from time to time or because the ambulance service is unwilling to work around the clock. Therefore, residents need not only to get to the machine a few kilometres away but also to reach doctors.
Two months before the elections, the so-called “lpr” widely announces the advantages of voting at home and bypassing, while at the same time rushing to write off budget funds, which may be reduced after the election, for the electoral infrastructure. For instance, polling stations have been set up for people with disabilities, although they are to be visited personally.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Air quality in Kyiv has deteriorated as a result of russian attacks. Environmentalists recorded an increase in the concentration of combustion products, chemicals and dust. Due to air pollution caused by russian shelling on December 29 and January 2, Ukraine suffered losses of $400,000. More than 5,000 tonnes of CO2 were released into the air.
The Kyiv City State Administration reported that restoration work has been completed at the Solomianskyi district heating station in Kyiv. Its premises and equipment were damaged by debris during a russian missile strike on January 2. This heating station provides heating and hot water to 9 sections of the damaged high-rise building, which is home to about 800 Kyiv residents.
On January 11, Kyiv will hold a farewell to the poet and soldier Maksym “Dali” Kryvtsov, who died in the war. Maksym went to the frontline voluntarily in 2014. He also worked at the Centre for Rehabilitation and Readaptation of Anti-Terrorist Operation Participants and the Veteran Hub. In February 2022, he returned to the Armed Forces. On January 7, it became known that he died at the front. The poet’s last book was sold out in one day.
Ministry of Communities and Territories Development reported that the first 10 families from Kyiv and Donetsk oblasts have received compensation for their homes destroyed by the russians. They have already purchased property using housing certificates. Any region can be chosen for the purchase of real estate, as well as the choice to buy an apartment or house or invest in housing.
According to the Agency for Recovery and Development of Infrastructure, major repairs of the bridge damaged at the beginning of russia’s full-scale invasion are starting in Vyshhorod. From January 17, the bridge will be completely closed to cars, but a pontoon ferry will be open for the duration of the repair.
Vadym Tokar, the Makariv village head, reported that a multi-apartment building is being restored in Makariv at the expense of the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression. Part of the building was destroyed by a russian shell and is being rebuilt from scratch.
According to the plan for the priority land survey in Kyiv oblast, an area of 9.4 thousand hectares is to be surveyed and demined. This data is included in the updated plan for the priority return of agricultural land to economic use from the beginning of 2024.
Zhytomyr oblast
Serhii Sukhomlyn, Mayor of Zhytomyr, reported that more than 100 suppliers of drone spare parts have registered on the Zhytomyr Drone platform as of January 8, 2024. More than 4,000 people have registered and want to be trained to become engineers who will assemble drones for the Ukrainian military. The project has already raised more than UAH 180,000 for the components that will be used to assemble FPV drones for the Armed Forces.
Hospital No. 1 in Zhytomyr Oblast is being restored after being damaged by russian airstrikes. At the expense of local authorities and philanthropists, the hospital has completely replaced damaged windows and doors, and repaired ceilings and walls in the wards. The medical facility is open around the clock and designed to serve about 100,000 people in the city and oblast.
The Security Service of Ukraine reported that another agent of the russian federation, who collected intelligence on the locations and movements of the defence forces in Zhytomyr oblast, was sentenced to 15 years in prison. During the search, the officers found a large amount of cash and a notebook with intelligence information about Ukrainian troops.
Sumy oblast
According to the Sumy RMA, on January 9 russian military sent two UAVs to the village of Krasnopillia community and hit the local house of culture. Private houses and power lines were damaged. Information about the victims is being clarified.
According to State Emergency Service of Ukraine, rescuers in Sumy oblast have extinguished a large-scale fire in a residential area caused by russian hostile strikes. The blast wave damaged houses. A cultural centre and civilian homes were also on fire.
It is reported that russians fired 21 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 74 attacks with mortars, artillery, ATGMs, and a UAV attack. The Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Myropil, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Esman, Znob-Novhorodske, Seredyna-Buda, and Svesa communities were shelled.
At night, the russian military carried out 4 attacks – 14 strikes with mortars. Seredyna-Buda (2 explosions), Esman (5), Svesa (3), Znob-Novhorodske (4) communities were shelled.
The Sumy RMA reported that on January 9, air defence forces destroyed a Shahed UAV in the sky over Sumy oblast.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, over the past week, bomb squads in the oblast destroyed 19 pieces of ammunition. Since the beginning of the year, 12 cases of explosive devices have been recorded in Sumy, Okhtyrka and Konotop districts.
Chernihiv oblast
According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, russian troops attacked two border communities in Chernihiv oblast. Novhorod-Siverskyi community – 2 mortar attacks in the area of Hremiach; Semenivka community – 10 attacks with cannon artillery towards Karpovychi.
About 19,000 russian troops are deployed on the border of Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts on the side of the russian federation. This number has not changed for several months. This is not a striking force capable of breaking through the combat formations of Ukrainian troops. At present, the russian military is mostly conducting “disturbing fire” towards the border of Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts using mortars, artillery, and FPV drones.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the 119th Brigade of the Territorial Defence Forces from Chernihiv oblast was presented with a ribbon to the unit’s Battle Flag For Participation in the Defence of Ukraine. The award was presented by the Commander of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Anatolii Barhylevych.
Viacheslav Chaus, head of the RMA, reported that up to 19 types of services for veterans and their families can be provided in 40 Administrative Service Centres in Chernihiv Oblast. In the near future, ASC managers and administrators will undergo relevant online training, in particular with the involvement of specialists from Rivne Oblast, where the Veteran’s Window is already operating in all communities.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
The occupiers attacked Nikopol region twice. They used a kamikaze drone on the regional center and around midnight they shelled Marhanets community with artillery. In Nikopol, 2 private houses, an outbuilding and a power line were damaged. There were no casualties.
In the evening the enemy launched a missile on the region. It was shot down over Synelnykove by the Air Defense Forces. There was also an explosion in Kryvyi Rih. During the day the enemy shelled 6 times Nikopol region with artillery and kamikaze drones. The region center, Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities were shelled. Two people were injured in Nikopol, a 56-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman. They were provided with all the necessary medical care. An administrative building and a car were damaged.
According to RMA the Regional Emergency Medical Care Center of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council received the necessary medical equipment from Polish partners from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland: a defibrillator, a ventilator and hemostatic clamps. Such assistance is extremely important for medics who work with a heavy workload, saving civilians and wounded soldiers.
Vinnytsia oblast
There are psychological self-help groups for military families in Vinnytsia. During the meetings psychologists from the city’s social services center work with the participants to choose a topic for discussion. They talk about fears, traumas, interaction with family members and personal development, among other things. The self-help groups also use various therapeutic techniques: drawings, metaphorical cards and game methods. The goal of therapy is mutual support and finding a resource. Thus the group is a resource because it brings together people with similar life experiences.
IOM is already implementing Improvement of Living Conditions of IDPs projects in five regions of Ukraine. The prospects of cooperation in Kirovohrad region were discussed to. The RMA together with local communities have done a tremendous job of building and reconstructing housing for IDPs. They have prepared 111 land plots for this purpose with a total area of over 172 hectares. The priority project is in the regional center. On 2 land plots – 38.5 hectares and 3.2 hectares. Oleksandria is also ready to implement projects. There are also facilities that can be reconstructed for housing. All of them are located in residential neighborhoods and are provided with communications. Kirovohrad region counts on the support and assistance of international organizations in implementing such necessary projects for the region.

Poltava oblast
Artem Pohorilyi, a war veteran from Poltava oblast will represent Ukraine at the United States Air Force Trials adaptive sports competition to be held in Las Vegas in March. As part of the national team 30 Ukrainian servicemen with disabilities will demonstrate their skills. Artem will compete in swimming and sitting volleyball.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA announced that Cherkasy has delivered the necessary logistical support to an anti-aircraft machine gun battalion that protects Cherkasy region, as well as to units on the front line. 17 anti-drone rifles, 25 electronic warfare devices to counter UAVs and the necessary equipment for control centers. This was reported by the head of the OVA Ihor Taburets.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday, russian occupiers executed 102 strikes on 19 populated areas in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Forty-three enemy drones attacked Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodarivka, Chervone, Huliaipilske, Robotyne, Novoandriivka, Poltavka, Levadne, Malynivka, and Piatyhatky. Fifty-three artillery shelling incidents targeted the territory of Zaliznychne, Robotyne, Novodanylivka, Levadne, Charivne, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Kamianske, Piatyhatky, Bilenke, as well as other cities and villages along the front line. There have been 9 reports of residential buildings being destroyed, with no casualties.
Ukrainian soldiers repelled 2 attacks by occupiers west of Verbove in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Border guards of the Berdiansk border unit repelled an attack by unmanned aviation, consisting of ten kamikaze drones. One of the drones was landed by defenders without detonation. Operators of high-tech rifles managed to jam signals and communication of russian drones.
Mykolaiv oblast
Yesterday, russian forces shelled Kutsurub community in Mykolaiv oblast, but there were no reported casualties. This information was reported by Mykolaiv RMA.
More than 200 internally displaced women in Mykolaiv oblast have joined the educational project “ZMIST,” implemented by the civic organization “New Ukrainian Narratives.” The project aims to provide new knowledge to women affected by the war, who are waiting for their husbands to return from the frontline. The project offers six educational courses, and the participation of internally displaced women is free of charge.
On Tuesday, January 9, a delegation from the Council of Europe’s Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (CLRAE) arrived in Mykolaiv as part of the activities of the Regional Office for International Cooperation (ROIC). The delegation, led by CLRAE President Rolf Michael Hay Pierre Holmboe, discussed the current situation, challenges, and other pertinent issues related to the ongoing reform of the civil security sector in the de-occupied territories of Mykolaiv oblast. The discussion also included the support that CLRAE can offer to the region during these challenging times.
Odesa oblast
Since January 10, the Deputy Regional Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe, Mr. Nick Hartmann, has been on an official visit to Ukraine. He started his visit in Odesa, where discussions took place on the results of cooperation and future projects. Since 2019, Odesa has been implementing five projects with UNDP support, funded by the European Investment Bank, with two of them successfully completed. In the current year, the implementation of seven more projects will commence, with five focused on improving medical care conditions. UNDP’s assistance can be crucial in the repair and arrangement of shelters in the basements of residential buildings, especially considering the existing experience of such cooperation.
On January 13, the Odesa National Art Museum, which has resumed its activities after being hit by a russian missile, will open the photo exhibition “Brave to Carry the Light.” The exhibition will feature works by Ukrainian photographers such as Serhii Korovainyi, Oleksandr Maslov, Ievhen Malolietka, Mstyslav Chernov, Mykhailo Palinchak, Serhii Morhunov, Pavlo Petrov, and others. The showcased images capture how Ukrainians lived, arranged their lives, and continued working, helping each other during mass power outages. This information was reported by DTEK on January 10.
Kherson oblast
Yesterday, the russian army carried out 74 shelling incidents, firing 375 projectiles from MLRS, artillery, mortars, tanks, dropping ammunition from UAVs, and launching a missile strike. The russians shelled Kherson, Novotiahynka, Sadove, Antonivka, Stanislav, Dniprovske, Chervone Maiak, and Tiahynka. 30 objects, including 11 private and 4 multi-story buildings, enterprises, a critical infrastructure facility, 3 administrative buildings, a hospital, a kindergarten, a cafe, 5 cars, and 3 garages were damaged in Kherson oblast. Two people were injured in the artillery shelling of Dniprovske.
The enemy launched a missile strike, likely using an “Iskander-M” ballistic missile, on Kherson. The administrative building of a plant was destroyed, a banking institution was damaged, and a preschool educational institution and 4 multi-story buildings were affected. Artillery shelling damaged a hospital, a bank building, a municipal enterprise, and 3 cars in Central district.
The enemy continues to actively use FPV drones and UAVs of other modifications to drop fragmentation ammunition on populated areas in Kherson oblast. Five FPV drones and 11 explosive devices were directed at Novotiahynka, Kachkarivka, Zolota Balka, Sadove, Lvove, and Tiahynka.
Ukrainian Armed Forces continue actions to expand the foothold on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the operational-strategic grouping “Odesa” responsibility zone. During the past day, the enemy attempted 9 unsuccessful storming actions on Defense Forces positions.
Confirmed losses of the enemy on the left bank in the past day include 27 occupiers, 1 “Grad” MLRS, 1 self-propelled artillery system “Msta-S,” 1 video surveillance complex “Murom-M,” 1 UAV of an unspecified type, 1 electronic warfare station, and 11 units of automotive equipment. Two enemy observation points were destroyed.
In 2023, residents of the Kherson and Mykolaiv obasts, affected by the flooding caused by the sabotage of the russian forces at Kakhovka HPP, received over 200 million hryvnias in aid. Over 23 thousand residents of Kherson and Mykolaiv oblasts received 5 thousand hryvnias each from the state, totaling over 115 million hryvnias. Additionally, almost 13.4 thousand residents received 6,600 hryvnias each from international organizations, totaling 88 million hryvnias.
Residents of Zymivnyk village received 60 building kits. Building materials were provided to people whose private houses were damaged due to enemy shelling.
Fifty families living in Sadove village received sleeping and hygiene kits, repair kits, and kitchenware. The assistance was provided by the “Zakhyst” City Community Fund in Kherson.
One hundred large families in Kherson received medicines for home medicine cabinets. Pain relievers, sedatives, antiviral, and other broad-spectrum medical preparations were provided to families raising at least three minors. Both local residents and displaced persons can receive medical supplies.
Children from Kherson oblast travelled to Romania. Forty-five children and nine adults have moved to a safe place of residence. Since the start of the full-scale war, they have not left their homes and have been residing in dangerous settlements, including Muzikivka, Inhulets, Novovorontsovka, Dariivka, Novobratske, Orlovoe, Mykilske, Shyroka Balka, Tiahynka, Vysokye, Lvove, and Kherson. The trip for them is entirely free, with organized comfortable accommodation, meals, entertainment, cultural activities, and psychological support.

Zakarpattia oblast
The RMA held a meeting with Volodymyr Pletyuk, regional representative of the USAID Hoverla project. They discussed further joint work.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk City Council purchased 150 FPV drones with funds from the city budget. These drones will soon be sent to the military at the front.
For the needs of the anti-aircraft machine gun battalion, which was created in Prykarpattia, receive computer equipment (printers, smartphones, routers), equipment and consumer goods with a total value of almost UAH 400K, thanks to the funds of the regional budget as part of the target program of support for military formations.
The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the Caritas Czech Republic CF. Participants discussed organizing work on cooperation in the field of social policy, assistance to IDPs, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, palliative patients and the elderly.
Lviv oblast
Lviv oblast helped raise funds for the Armed Forces thanks to carols and donations. In the amount of about UAH 56K, residents of Solonkiv community purchased charging stations for infantrymen on Zaporizhzhia oblast. They also bought 3️ helmets for the 74th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion.
In the villages of Velike Kolodno and Kolodentsi, residents spent over UAH 70K. During the Let’s Carol for the Sake of Victory evening in Kamianets-Buzka, raised about UAH 28K. In the village of Verkhnya Bilka, a Let’s Carol to God – Let’s Bring Victory Closer! charity Christmas festival raised over UAH 60K. Residents of the village of Sukhoryechia donated UAH 35K. And in villages of Stavchany and Obroshino, charity Christmas concerts raised UAH 23K.
Residents of Strii region also joined the fundraising. Carolers from Zhydachiv community raised UAH 17K. Half of the amount was donated to buy a car for the 63rd bridge, in which a fellow citizen serves. Another part of the funds was donated to FPV drones for defenders.
Also, students of Chervonohrad School of Arts and the Krystynopil chamber choir gathered for the needs of the Armed Forces. The funds received (UAH 30K) was donated to the Avtomaidan Chervonohrad CF.
In total, residents of Lviv district resided over UAH 270K for the needs of the Armed Forces.
Rivne oblast
In Rivne oblast, the activity of psychiatrists at the MMC is being analyzed. The RMA held a working meeting with regional medics regarding the organization of the work of psychiatrists who are involved in military medical commissions.
Ternopil oblast
A rehabilitation center of excellence has opened in Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital. Today, Viktor Lyashko, Minister of Health of Ukraine, is on a working visit from here. The medical institution has become a center of advanced methods of providing rehabilitation care, as well as a training base for specialists from multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
A new group of international experts arrived at Khmelnytskyi NPP. Another rotation of IAEA mission took place. Representatives of the International Nuclear Energy Agency monitor compliance with the safety indicators of Ukrainian nuclear power plants, in particular, in conditions of martial law. Representatives of IAEA will work at Khao NPP for three weeks, conducting tours and inspections of premises, equipment, as well as conducting interviews with the personnel of the power plant. Permanent missions of IAEA are located at all nuclear power plants of Ukraine, their key task is to monitor nuclear and radiation safety and security.
Chernivtsi oblast
Last year, the state budget received UAH 413.8 mln of military levies from the residents of Bukovyna. This is UAH 57.3 mln more than in 2022.
The defender from Bukovyna was awarded the award of Rustem Umyerov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine. Andrii Kravchuk, resident of the village of Verenchanka, received the medal “Cross of Airborne Assault Forces” for impeccable service, diligence, intelligent initiative, high personal achievements in official activities, excellent personal indicators in combat training, outstanding merits and significant personal contribution to the development of Airborne Assault Forces Armed Forces.
