It has been the 687th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine. The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, conducts strikes, and attacks both military and civilian targets. The enemy is actively using tactical aircraft and FPV quadcopters, conducting assault operations with the support of armoured vehicles.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

On January 11, there were 56 combat clashes. The enemy launched a total of 3 airstrikes, carried out 16 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Private residential and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

 Towards Volyn and Polissia, there are no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group were noticed. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. More than 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Kliusy, Leonivka, Hremiach (Chernihiv oblast), Holyshivske, Sadky, Zapsillia, Stepok, Yizdetske (Sumy oblast), Vovchansk, Bochkove, and Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka (Kharkiv oblast), where the occupiers made unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 assaults near Makiivka (Luhansk oblast) and east of Terny (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to improve their tactical situation. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15x settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 1 attack in the vicinity of Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast). More than 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and Niu York (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 9 enemy attacks near Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and 16 more attacks in the vicinities of Pervomaiske and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made unsuccessful attempts to improve their tactical situation. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 15 settlements, including Novokalynove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Vodiane, and Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Marinka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinities of Heorhiivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the adversary made 10 attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, and Kostiantynivka were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarske, the russian invaders conducted no offensives. They fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Urozhaine, and Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 assaults west of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). In that area the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost ground. Around 20 settlements, including Levadne, Malynivka Huliaipole, Piatykhatky, and Kamianske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the russian army fired artillery at the city of Kherson, the settlements of Beryslav, Stanislav (Kherson oblast), as well as Solonchaky (Mykolaiv oblast). Also, the enemy launched MLRS strikes in the vicinities of the settlements of Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Krynky, and Veletenske (Kherson oblast).

The occupiers have not abandoned their intention to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. Thus, during the day, the enemy made 3 unsuccessful assaults. The Ukrainian troops are holding the line and keep inflicting significant losses on the enemy.

The Ukrainian rocket troops hit 2 buildups of enemy troops, weapons, and military equipment, 1 command post, 1 ammunition depot.


 Ihor Klymenko, Minister of Internal Affairs, reports that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 227 residents have been killed by landmines. Among them are 14 children.

Yaroslav Yurchyshchyn, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech, informs that russia holds 25 non-combatant journalists in captivity. He also noted the need to involve the international community to draw attention to their release.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, at about 10:30 pm, the enemy launched an S-300 missile attack from Belgorod on Kyivskyi district. A hotel was damaged. One missile hit the ground near the facade of the building, the other hit the roof of the building with further partial destruction of the back of the hotel. 12 people were injured. As of now, 2 people are in medical institutions: a 35-year-old man in critical condition and a 71-year-old woman in moderate condition.

More than 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered artillery and mortar attacks, including: Synkivka, Ivanivka, Petropavlivka, Berestove of Kupiansk region, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Zemlianky of Chuhuiv region.

The enemy launched airstrikes near Vilcha of Chuhuiv region, Vilkhuvatka, Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, Podoly of Kupiansk region, Lozova of Lozova region.  

Yesterday around 10 pm, the invaders shelled Podoly village, Kupiansk region. An 84-year-old woman and a 64-year-old man were injured and received medical assistance on the spot. 

At 2pm the enemy attacked Vovchansk. A private house and power lines were damaged. 

At 2:30 and 3:44 pm, the enemy shelled Vilkhuvatka village with type of weapon – 2 aerial bombs. A 49-year-old woman was killed. 10 houses, an educational institution and a shop were damaged.

Towards Kupiansk, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 5 enemy attacks near Synkivka, Kupiansk region.

Combined groups of bomb experts cleared 5.1 hectares of territory an5 destroyed 174 explosive ordnance. Mine clearance is ongoing.

Donetsk oblast

The press service of Donetsk police reported that they documented 13 hostile attacks on civilians. Also the russian army attacked 7 settlements: Avdiivka, Zalizne, Kurakhove cities, Hrodivka settlement, Berdychi, Novoselivka Persha, and Orlivka villages. Infrastructure was damaged.

Donetsk Regional Military Administration reported that towards Pokrovsk region, Avdiivka suffered isolated attacks at night and massive shelling in the morning. In Marinka community, Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka and Heorhiivka were under attack. In Kurakhove community, the industrial area was hit. At night, russians attacked Myrnohrad, damaging a lyceum.

Towards Kramatorsk region, Bila Hora, Predtechyne, Oleksandr-Shultyne, Markove and Dyliivka of Kostiantynivka community were shelled. In Lyman community, a house in Yampil was damaged and Torske and Zarichne attacked.

Towards Bakhmut region, in Toretsk community, a person was killed and a house damaged in Zalizne. Another house was damaged in Shcherbynivka. In Chasiv Yar community, 6 private houses and 2 apartment buildings were damaged. Rozdolivka and Vasiukivka of Soledar community and Pereizne and Verkhnokamianske of Zvanivka community were shelled. In Siversk, 4 houses were damaged.

There are still 1,152 people in Avdiivka and 3,260 in Marinka community.

Luhansk oblast

Bad weather conditions limit the use of drones and aircraft but russians still managed to launch six drones and three airstrikes yesterday. They continue to bomb the territory of Serebrianka forest. Nevske was under attack from enemy mortars and artillery.

The enemy is actively using both equipment and human resources for offensive actions. Assault operations using only infantrymen did not bring the invaders any success.

For almost two days, the invaders tried to defuse an aircraft bomb that had fallen from a russian plane on a residential area in Rubizhne. While the sappers were working, filtration measures were intensified in the city. Entry and exit from the town was blocked. People from the affected areas were interrogated in temporary centres, checking their documents and mobile phones and even though there is neither communication nor internet connection in Rubizhne. When the residents returned to their homes, it turned out that they had been thoroughly searched in their absence. There is missing property.

The invaders do not allocate money for the restoration of property or full compensation. They promise to build six all-russian landfills in the so-called “lpr” in six years. However, the settlements have been suffering from garbage for the past year and a half because no one removes or disposes it. RUB 375 million are not to be allocated for the elimination of natural landfills but only for projects.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The State Service for Emergency Situations continues destroying explosive objects in Bucha region. Kyiv RMA warned residents of the region and the capital’s suburbs about the sounds of explosions.

The regional employment center reported that a new government grant program for veterans and their spouses was successfully launched in 2023 in the oblast. Combatants can receive grants of up to UAH 1 million to start or develop their own business. Last year, 21 defenders received the grants. Thanks to the program, fifty new jobs were created.

Kyiv oblast is among the TOP-5 regions in terms of citizens’ participation in the Recovery Army project. 8,400 residents of the oblast participated in socially useful works in 42 communities of the region.

The National Police reported that 10 displaced families received temporary housing built by philanthropists in Kyiv oblast. Among the new settlers are five families of police officers from Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, who lost their homes due to the war. Dell Loy Hansen, American businessman and philanthropist, is financing the construction of housing for displaced persons and people whose homes were destroyed due to the russian invasion.

Bucha City Council reported that the city was visited by mass media representatives from Great Britain – three owners of HotSpot Media. They plan to film local residents’ accounts of the occupation and make a film about the full-scale invasion of the region by russian troops.

Irpin City Council reported that a local history museum was opened in the city, the building of which was damaged during the full-scale invasion of the region by russian troops. A presentation of an updated exposition about the consequences of the russian invasion took place in the rebuilt museum.

Irpin mayor Oleksandr Markushyn said that a sculpture by the Japanese artist Yoshio Yagi was installed near the ruins of the Central House of Culture in the city. The sculpture was brought to Irpin by the ChervoneChorne art association. The official opening of the sculpture and the press conference will take place on January 16.

Zhytomyr oblast

The State Environmental Inspection of the Polissya Region with reference to the research by the UA War Infographics team reported that the amount of damage caused to the ecosystem of Zhytomyr oblast during almost two years of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine amounts to more than 427 million US dollars. 4 objects of heavy industry in the oblast were damaged and are polluting the environment.

Vitaliy Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration said that 5,844 pieces of ammunition were destroyed or handed over to the Armed Force in the oblast last year. These are 214 rocket munitions, 45 aerial bombs, 1 cluster element, 4 cluster munitions, 5,211 artillery shells, 4 anti-tank mines, 201 grenades, 153 mortar mines, and 11 other munitions.

Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration signed a memorandum with the Public Organization Ukrainian Association of Mine Action Operators and GK GROUP LLC. Both organizations are already conducting a non-technical survey of potentially dangerous areas in Zhytomyr oblast and plan to involve veterans in the work. Zhytomyr RMA reported that almost 75K hectares in the oblast can be contaminated with explosive ordnance.

Over the past year, explosive technicians of the regional State Emergency Service made almost 500 trips to check territories and clear mines. They are also actively involved in the disposal of explosive traps in the de-occupied territories of the east and south of Ukraine.

Zhytomyr RMA reported that a art therapy master class was held in the city for women from military families and internally displaced persons. The event took place as part of the project “Women’s unity – Strength for Victory!”.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA reported that the russian military carried out 29 shelling attacks of the oblast with a total of 100 explosions recorded. 10 communities came under shelling, namely Yunakivka, Khotyn, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Nova Sloboda, Shalyhine, Esman, Znob-Novhorodske, Seredina-Buda and Svesa. The enemy struck with artillery and mortars, used small arms, dropped VOG munitions from unmanned aerial vehicles. As reported by the National Police of Sumy oblast, a private residential building was damaged as a result of the shelling.

Sumy RMA reported that on the night of January 11, the russians carried out 5 shelling attacks on the border areas of the oblast, 24 hits from artillery, mortars and AGS were recorded. Velyka Pisarivka, Znob-Novhorodske and Seredina-Buda communities came under shelling.

1,371 residents of the oblast received compensation for housing damaged by russian shelling. The total amount of payments is more than UAH 118 million. In addition, the residents of the oblast sent 137 applications for compensation for destroyed residential objects by providing certificates for the purchase of housing instead of the destroyed one.

In Sumy oblast, volunteer Oleksandr Velichko was awarded the Golden Heart award of the President of Ukraine. Since 2014, he regularly has been travelling to the war zone to provide the military with everything necessary, and repairing vehicles for the military. During the siege of the city of Sumy, Oleksandr helped provide food for soldiers and volunteers, the local population, organized the delivery of medicines to hospitals and combat points.

Chernihiv oblast

Over the past 24 hours, russian troops have fired from MLRS, mortars and grenade launchers at the border of Chernihiv oblast. As reported by the SBGS, the enemy fired at the territory of Semenivka community towards Hremyachka and Arkhipivka (4 hits from the AGS, 16 hits from the MLRS) and Snovsk community towards Yeline (10 mortar hits).

Serhii Sergienko, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi RMA announced that in Semenivka community, on January 10, at around 5 a.m., a russian subversive intelligence group shot a car with a civilian man in it. It happened half a kilometre from the russian border between the villages of Hremyachka and Leonivka. The killed man was born in 1961 and worked as a school bus driver in the village of Kostobobriv.

The Department of Education and Science of Chernihiv oblast reported that the oblast expects to receive about UAH 80 million in subventions from the state budget In 2024 for the repair of shelters in educational institutions. Today, 87% of educational institutions in the oblast have shelters, yet 115 educational institutions do not, or their shelters are not properly equipped.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk  Oblast Council reported that the occupiers continue to attack Nikopol region. There were two artillery attacks in the evening and at night. Nikopol and Marhanets communities were hit by about a dozen shells. During the day the enemy sent two kamikaze drones to Nikopol region. They hit the regional center and Marhanets community.

Two private houses and a gas pipeline were damaged in Nikopol as a result of the attack.

Vinnytsia oblast

The City Council announced that Vinnytsia kindergartens have purchased a third quadcopter for the military. According to the Department of Education the purchase of the aircraft was made possible thanks to the ongoing support of the local community, teachers and parents of preschoolers who raised funds for this purpose.

Construction of radiation shelters continues in Vinnytsia. They are being built on the territory of two preschool institutions. These protective structures will have water supply and autonomous energy sources.

Kirovohrad oblast

Three defenders from Kirovohrad region were killed in the battlefield. They are Ruslan Kosarchuk from Blahovishchenske community, Mykola Bazyk from Velyka Andrusivka community and Serhii Cherpakov from Adzhamka community.

Poltava oblast

Filip Pronin, Head of the RMA, announced that Poltava region is actively developing adaptive sports. War veterans from the region, including world record holders and competition winners, are joining the organization. Poltava region is an invincible regional space which will help to unite efforts in this area. It will be located in the Aquarena, which has become a powerful sports magnet. Civilians and the military are training here. Recently, the sports complex was replenished with 7 new fitness equipment.

Cherkasy oblast

A tactical medicine training session  was organized for civilians in Cherkasy. Law enforcement officers organized the training on the basis of the algorithm of actions and first aid. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On January 10, the russian army carried out 116 attacks on 20 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhya oblast. 37 russian drones attacked Huliaipole, Novodarivka, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne, Poltavka, Robotyne and Mali Shcherbaki.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that towards Zaporizhzhia, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled five russian attacks near Robotyne and west of Verbove. 

Mykolaiv oblast

According to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on  January 10 and on the night of  January 11, russian troops shelled Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities in Mykolaiv oblast  three times. There were no casualties. 

Patrol Police of Mykolaiv oblast reported that in the central district of Mykolaiv, near high-rise buildings, at around 13:00, a resident discovered a cluster munition. Law enforcement officers and explosive experts are working at the scene. 

Olena Buberenko, Head of the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, announced that in 2023, 60,000 books written in russian were confiscated from libraries in Mykolaiv oblast. 

Odesa oblast

Odesa City Council reported that representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Ukraine and Europe offices toured a lyceum located in the city’s Peresypskyi district as part of their visit to Odesa. The first project under the Ukraine Recovery Programme, supported by UNDP, was implemented here.  Nick Hartmann stressed the importance of further cooperation and the creation of appropriate conditions for education in educational institutions. 

Dmytro Pletenchuk, Ukrainian Navy Spokesman, announced on January 11 that the Ukrainian “grain corridor” in the Black Sea has actually reached the capacity it had before the full-scale invasion of russia. More than 500 vessels have already sailed through it. 

Kherson oblast

In the afternoon, on January 11, the russian army shelled Kherson with artillery. An 86-year-old woman was wounded. She was taken to hospital. 

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that the russian military shelled Ivanivka. They hit a house, and the body of a dead man was taken out from under the rubble. His identity is currently being established. 

In Beryslav region, between Velyka Oleksandrivka and Novodmytrivka, a man was blown up on a russian mine while performing field work. He was injured. 

The police showed what a hotel in the centre of Kherson looks like after being shelled by russian troops on January 9. The shells pierced the facade, smashed windows and damaged the interior.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on January 10, the russian army fired 108 times at Kherson oblast, firing 482 shells at its territory. They hit residential areas of the region’s settlements. Three people were injured. 

Police evacuated an 83-year-old woman and her son from Zmiivka, Kherson oblast, under russian shelling. The family’s house was destroyed by the russian army the day before. They were hospitalised with contusions.

An international conference dedicated to Ukrainian children, Children’s Art – Cultural Front of Ukraine, was held in Milan. This is the largest exhibition in Europe of children’s drawings based on projects from Kherson: Birds of Peace and Kherson Watermelon ART. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the authors of the drawings, teachers, representatives of government agencies of Ukraine and Italy, and students of Italian schools. Violeta Tsarkova, Director of the Humanitarian Policy Implementation Department from Kherson oblast joined the event in an online format.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA held a meeting with the team of the SpectrumHelp CF and representatives of the Organizing Ukraine Relief Foundation. Visitors came to Lutsk to share their experience in the field of prosthetics.

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhhorod City Council held a meeting of the Coordinating Council on IDPs. In particular, they approved the activity plan for the current year and considered other issues.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Memorandums of cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Center for Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine of the Regional Clinical Hospital of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council were signed. Rehabilitation teams from all over the country have the opportunity to improve their own skills and learn from the best practices of their colleagues. Training takes place on the  “the team teaches the team” principle.

An ambulance equipped with medical equipment was handed over to one of the oblast hospitals where servicemen undergo treatment and rehabilitation. Employees of the Department of Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk oblast, who repeatedly participated in helping the front, and Azhard CF purchased the vehicle.

The RMA reported that the anti-aircraft machine gun battalion, which was created in the Carpathian region to protect the sky from enemy drones, received almost half a hundred car tires worth UAH 270K.

State awards were presented to families of fallen Heroes from Kalush region. Before the awarding ceremony together with the abbot of the Church of St. Archangel Michael, Fr. Ivan Bihun prayed for the peace of the souls of defenders of Ukraine.

Lviv oblast

Residents of three villages in Lviv oblast raised almost UAH 427K to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Carolers donated funds in foreign currency (EUR 370, $210 and 100 zlotys) to the army. They will be donated to purchase drones for the 137th separate battalion of marines and for the 79th separate amphibious assault brigade of Taurian Brigade and necessary things for the defenders.

Residents of Obroshyn community raised funds to buy an SUV for the 80th separate amphibious assault brigade worth about UAH 110K. Volunteers from the village of Obroshyn raised funds to buy 8 new wheels for two cars for UAH 30K to the Hospitaliers medical battalion. In addition, 10 camouflage kits worth UAH 10K were purchased. The 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade also received the car.

The rehabilitation center in Lviv oblast received 5 Olympic bows for military training. Until now, only two were used for training and they were already out of order. Meanwhile, the demand for rehabilitation in this sport grew. The new sports equipment will allow even more veterans to be involved in training. The bows were purchased within the League of the Invincibles regional project.

Rivne oblast

The tax service of Rivne oblast reported that last year, taxpayers of the oblast sent UAH 760.4 mln of military levies to the state budget. Such receipts exceeded the previous year’s receipts by 11% or UAH 76.9 mln.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that in the city, a memorial table will be installed on the facade of a residential building to Viktor Melnychenko, police captain, senior inspector of the 2nd special operations department, who was killed during a combat mission in Bakhmut.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Oleksandr Pivnenko, Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Brigadier General, and Hero of Ukraine, visited Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant. There, he met with Andrii Koziura, General Director of the NPP, and Hryhorii Olendra, Head of Netishyn City Military Administration. One of the most important tasks of the National Guard is the defense of strategic objects. Therefore, during the meeting, a number of measures were planned to strengthen the defense and protection of the NPP and security in the nearby city.

Chernivtsi oblast

From now on, there is a new shelter in Sniachiv school of Velikokuchuriv community. The facility underwent a major renovation of the basement floor, which made it possible to combine an anti-radiation shelter with an area of ​​80 m2, which could accommodate 50 people, and the simplest shelter, which had an area of ​​36 m2 and was also designed for 50 people. Now 250 people will be able to feel safe in the new warehouse, with an area of ​​150.4 m2. The total cost of the object is UAH 1,473 mln, which was financed from the local budget.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Alar Karis, President of Estonia, announced that the country will provide assistance to Ukraine in the amount of €1.2 bln until 2027.

Gitanas Nauseda, President of Lithuania, stated that the country will provide long-term military support to Ukraine in the amount of €200 mln. In January, Lithuania will send ammunition, generators and demining systems, and in February – M577 command and staff vehicles. Lithuania will also train Ukrainian soldiers and strengthen defense industry cooperation with Ukraine.

The Italian Parliament approved the resolution on military support to Ukraine. The resolution obliges the government to “continue to support the Ukrainian authorities, including through the transfer of funds, materials and military equipment, in accordance with the commitments made and further agreements within the framework of NATO and the EU, as well as in international forums, to which Italy belongs.”

Bloomberg, with reference to the memorandum of the National Security Council to the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, reported that the White House supported the confiscation of assets of the russian federation in the amount of $300 bln in favour of Ukraine.

Ukroboronprom signed letters of cooperation with NT Service, Brolis Semiconductors, RSI Europe and DMEXS Lithuanian companies. They are engaged in innovative development and production in the military sphere. NT Service develops anti-drone guns and electronic warfare equipment. Brolis Semiconductors manufactures electro-optical and laser systems. RSI Europe specializes in the development and production of innovative radio and electronic systems for the defense sector. DMEXS specializes in optical systems and firearms enhancements.

The Ukraine-NATO Council discussed massive russian strikes against Ukraine using Iranian drones and North Korean missiles at a meeting at the level of ambassadors. NATO countries strongly condemned the escalation of russian airstrikes against Ukraine and the use of Iranian and North Korean weapons.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Karina Miley, General Secretary of the Office of the President of Argentina. They discussed the possibility of organizing a Ukraine-Latin America summit, which was supported by presidents of Argentina and Ukraine during their meeting in Buenos Aires.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Israel reported that Israel extended the residence permit for Ukrainian refugees until the end of 2024. The previous order in this regard was valid until January 31, 2024.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are among the twenty most powerful armies in the world according to the Global Firepower rating. 145 countries were included in the list. It is led by the army of the United States of America with an index of 0.0699, and the last place is occupied by Bhutan (6.3704). An index of 0.0000 is considered an ideal indicator. russia (0.0702) is in second place, and China (0.0706) is in third place. The Armed Forces of Ukraine took 18th place in the rating.
