It has been the 731th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

During the day of February 24, there were 69x combat engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 7x missile and 54x air strikes, carried out 77x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 30x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Popivka (Sumy oblast), Kozacha Lopan’, Strilecha, Hatyshche (Kharkiv oblast).

Kup’yans’k axis: the adversary conducted no offensives. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Syn’kivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 1x assault near Terny (Donetsk oblast), where the adversary made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Yampolivka, Tors’ke, Serebryanka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11x attacks in the vicinities of Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to improve their tactical situation. The invaders launched air strikes near Bohdanivka, New York and Dyliivka (Donetsk oblast). More than10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Andriivka (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 11x attacks in the vicinities of Lastochkyne, Sjeverne, Pervomais’ke and Nevel’s’ke (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched air strikes near Oleksandropil’, Novoselivka Persha, Berdychi, Semenivka, Novobakhmutivka, Orlivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Novobakhmutivka, Ocheretyne, Pervomais’ke, Nevel’s’ke (Donetsk oblast).

Mar’inka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders made 23x attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched air strikes near Kostyantynivka, Krasnohorivka (Donetsk oblast). The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Novomykhailivka, Paraskoviivka, Kostyantynivka were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 1x attack south of Zolota Nyva (Donetsk oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Urozhaine and Staromaiors’ke (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Prechystivka, Blahodatne, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast).

Zaporizhzhia axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 3x attacks in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 10x settlements, including Poltavka, Malynivka, Chervone, Robotyne Mali Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Odesa operational-strategic group, Kherson axis: the occupiers do not abandon their intention to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. During the day, the enemy made 2x attempts to assault positions of Ukrainian troops. Around 10x settlements, including Novotyahynka, Tyahynka, Krynky, Ivanivka, Tokarivka (Kherson oblast), and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

During the day of February 24, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 13x concentrations of troops of the occupiers.

Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine, reported that since 24 February 2022, 528 children have been killed. Another 1,230 children were injured with varying degrees of severity. More than 2 million children have also left the country.

Yaroslav Liubchenko, Acting Head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, stated that they are launching an open database of foreign equipment used by russia to produce weapons. This will help manufacturers and competent government agencies around the world to collect evidence and investigate supply chains of dual-use and military goods.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The press service of Kharkiv police stated that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in the Kharkiv region, 2419 civilians have died as a result of the war, 87 of them children. 

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office previously reported that at least 1682 people were killed in 2022, 660 in 2023 and 56 since the beginning of 2024. Since 24 February 2022 3,516 people have been injured: at least 2,580 in 2022; 687 in 2023 and 236 since the beginning of 2024.

Serhii Bolvinov, Head of Kharkiv Police Investigation Department, reported that russian troops attacked Lyman village of Vovchansk community in the evening. A pig farm caught fire there. 600 square metres of the agricultural enterprise were on fire. According to the owner, there were more than 70 pigs. They are trying to evacuate them. According to preliminary reports, none of the farm workers were injured.

Oleksandr Kulik, Spokesman of Derhachi Administration, said that since the night, russian troops have been shelling Kozacha Lopan, Veterynarne, Hraniv and Shevchenko village with artillery.

On the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion, Kharkiv commemorated the athletes who were killed at the front defending the city. About a hundred people came to the Historical Museum metro station, including relatives and friends of the victims and their comrades-in-arms.

Yesterday about 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were under enemy artillery and mortar attacks, including: Udy, Strilecha, Vovchansk, Budarky, Chuhunivka, Topoli, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove and others.

At around 11 pm, the enemy shelled Vilkhuvatka village, Kupiansk region. The shelling damaged a private household and outbuildings. There were no casualties.

At 5:50 pm, Vilkhuvatka, Kupiansk region, was shelled with a guided aerial bomb. There was no information about destruction and casualties.

At 10 am, the enemy targeted Synkivka, Kupiansk region. 

During the day, the enemy tried to attack twice near Synkivka but it was unsuccessful. 

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 9.4 hectares of territory and defused 254 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Ukrainian troops repelled 64 russian attacks towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka on 23 February, the General Staff reported. Most of the attacks were carried out by the russian military in the Maryinka sector.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of the RMA, over the two years of full-scale war in Donetsk oblast, 1872 people have been killed and 4614 injured. The exact number of killed and wounded in Mariupol and Volnovakha is currently unknown.

Donetsk police stated that the russian army sent drones at two civilian cars in Siversk and injured two civilians. On 23 February, 58 civilian objects were damaged as a result of shelling in Donetsk oblast.

Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Commander of Tavriia operational-stragetic group, reported that on 23 February, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a russian Tor anti-aircraft missile system and a Soncepyok heavy flamethrower system. According to the commander, the russian army lost 26 pieces of military equipment, 312 russian servicemen and 281 UAVs of various types in Tavriia operational-stragetic group yesterday.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that all children from Marinka community were evacuated within a week. Two more children from Ocheretyne and 16 children from Toretsk communities are to be evacuated as part of the forced evacuation.

Over 500 drones were repaired by the volunteers of Khalabuda hub over the year, saving people in Mariupol. Having united more than 200 volunteers around them, Khalabuda team took on a humanitarian mission to provide water, medicine and food to the townspeople and the Ukrainian military. Since 17 March 2022, there has been no news of the organisation’s leader, Dmytro Chichera. Currently, Halabuda has resumed its work in Cherkasy, where volunteers have set up a drone repair shop.

Towards Volnovakha, an outbuilding was damaged in Vuhledar community of Bohoiavlenka.

Towards Pokrovsk, Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Maksymilianivka of Marinka community were shelled. Veselyi Hai of Kurakhove community was under attack. A person was killed in Myrnohrad.

Towards Kramatorsk, two houses were damaged in Ozerne of Lyman community. In Kostiantynivka community 14 houses were damaged: 12 in Markove and 2 in Mykolaivka.

Towards Bakhmut, in Siversk, 2 people were injured. A house was damaged in Toretsk. In Chasiv Yar community, 6 private houses and 4 apartment buildings were damaged. Rozdolivka and Vasiukivka of Soledar community and Verkhnokamianske of Zvanivka community were shelled.

In total, russians attacked settlements in Donetsk oblast 23 times over the day. 347 people, including 134 children, were evacuated from the oblast.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk RMA, confirmed that russians killed 1 resident in Myrnohrad. Two more people were injured in the oblast over the day. 

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, every resident of the frontline villages in Luhansk oblast receives humanitarian aid on a regular basis. Requests for the most necessary things are also accepted. Yesterday medicines were delivered. Food packages and bread are delivered every week. On Friday they were delivered to the residents of Nevske and Makiivka.

On 23 February, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka and Bilohorivka suffered airstrikes. Nevske and Bilohorivka were hit with mortars and artillery.

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that the occupation authorities of Luhansk oblast have admitted that the list of ‘state-owned’ coal mining enterprises to be transferred to russians without bidding was determined in advance. For this purpose, the mines of the so-called ‘lpr’ were divided into three groups – from promising to those in the process of liquidation. Naturally, the ones that will make a profit are the ones that will be leased. The fate of those that do not rent for nothing has also already been determined – liquidation.

Rozkishne village, Lutuhyne region, is suffering from groundwater. It is located between Lutuhyne and Luhansk. Almost every basement there has water up to the waist. The invaders seem to ignore the problem. In the same area, exactly a month ago, water started to arrive in Bile village.

Ukrposhta dedicated the stamps to the heroic resistance of Ukrainians to the russian aggressor. The special redemption took place together with the commander of the 18th Sloviansk Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, Colonel Hennadii Kutsym. Luhansk oblast suffered the most. More than 44,000 facilities were destroyed and 300,000 people became internally displaced.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

On the second anniversary of the russian invasion, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Ukrainians from Hostomel airport, where European leaders gathered on that day.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Maloni, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Kyiv to show solidarity with Ukraine. Former Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson visited the capital as well.

More than 1,600 civilians, including 53 children, were killed due to the military actions of the russian aggressor on the territory of Kyiv oblast. As reported by Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian federation, the investigation of more than 23,000 violations of the laws and customs of war is ongoing. According to the results of the war crimes investigation, 93 russian servicemen were suspected.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko said that during the two years of the full-scale invasion of the russian army into Ukraine, almost 200 people, including six children, were killed in Kyiv. About 800 residential buildings, 122 educational institutions, 18 healthcare institutions and 17 social sphere institutions were damaged in the capital.

Since February 24, 2022, the air raid alarm has sounded 989 times in the capital. Kyiv rescue service made 156 trips to eliminate the consequences of rocket attacks in the capital. Ambulance teams made 1,741 trips to the sites of missile and drone attacks and assisted 1,034 patients, including 36 children.

Today, almost 209,500 internally displaced persons, including about 46,000 children, are registered in Kyiv. The humanitarian headquarters of the capital attracted help from more than 150 international partners.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the allocation of UAH 515 million for the construction and operation of the National Military Memorial Cemetery, which is planned to be built in the village of Hatne in Kyiv oblast. Its construction is one of the main annual tasks for the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

An inspection of buildings damaged by a russian missile attack on February 7 continues in Kyiv. Owners of apartments where structural elements were not damaged will be able to return to their homes when utility companies restore electricity, heat and water supply. Officials of the Holosiivskyi District State Administration must compile a list of apartments that are safe for living by February 28. The house restoration project will be developed after an instrumental survey of the structures.

Unpublished diplomas exhibition about Ukrainian students, whose lives were taken by the russian war, was presented in Kyiv. The exhibition reveals 40 stories of students who were killed from shelling or on the battlefield. SUSK union of Ukrainian students in Canada helped implement the project.

Zhytomyr oblast

The National Police reported that a five-day advanced training for explosives technicians of special police units is taking place in Zhytomyr oblast. Zhytomyr explosion technicians conduct a training course for colleagues from other regions. During the exercises, the personnel practice the execution of the explosion in various ways and ask questions related to the striking actions of the explosion during the performance of certain police tasks.

On the eve of the second anniversary of the full-scale armed attack of russian troops on Ukraine, a new thematic postal block “And there will be spring!” was redeemed in Zhytomyr. The stamps of the postal block depict the most iconic photos of the wartime.

In two weeks, the representatives of the Plastovyi Youth Center in Zhytomyr collected more than UAH 7.5 thousand for recycling russian-language books. The money was transferred to the treasury of Zhytomyr drone project. The campaign for the collection of russian-language literature continues.

Sumy oblast

The regional prosecutor’s office reported that more than 200 civilians, including 13 children, have were killed in Sumy oblast since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. During this period, at least 381 people were injured. A total of 1,997 criminal offenses were registered in Sumy oblast for violations of the laws and customs of war.

On the territory of the oblast since February 24, 2022, 5,730 civilian objects have been destroyed and damaged: 4,583 residential buildings and households, 138 educational and educational institutions, 22 medical institutions, 6 cultural and 10 religious buildings, 355 objects of critical infrastructure, also gas pipelines, water pipes and electrical networks.

At night and in the morning, russians carried out 21 attacks on the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. 64 hits from mortars, artillery, MLRS, a tank and shelling from small arms were recorded. The communities of Yunakivka, Khotyn, Bilopillia, Shalyhine, Esman, Znob-Novhorodske, Seredyna-Buda were under enemy shelling.

Sumy RMA reported that yesterday the russian military carried out 28 attacks and a total of 148 explosions were recorded. Khotyn, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled. The enemy carried out strikes from mortars, barrel artillery, MLRS and AGS, dropped explosive devices from FPV drones, launched 12 unguided missiles from a helicopter on the territory of Velyka Pysarivka community. As a result of shelling, 10 private houses were damaged.

Chernihiv oblast

The SBGS reported that yesterday russian troops carried out 5 attacks on the border of Chernihiv oblast, 2 communities were under enemy attack: in Semenivka, there were 11 mortar hits towards Kostobobriv, Zaliznyi Myst, Mykolaivka and Karpovychi settlements, in Snovsk, 9 mortar hits near the village of Kliusy.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, said that representatives of the Belgian Development Cooperation Agency (Enabel) will work in the oblast. The Agency’s focus is on measures to improve the provision of educational and medical services, improving the security environment.

Four new stamps dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the russian-Ukrainian war were issued in Chernihiv. These are photos taken in Ukraine during the war, which were actively distributed on social networks: a photo of a defender of Azovstal in Mariupol, the seizure of Belbek airport, a wedding of medical volunteers in the yard of a house destroyed by russian missiles in Kharkiv, and a photo of an infantryman of the 28th brigade from with the call sign Snizhok, which was taken a few hundred meters from the enemy trenches on the outskirts of Bakhmut.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council reported that during the night the occupiers shelled Nikopol region twice with artillery. They hit the district center and Marhanets community. The enemy attacked Nikopol region all day long. They launched 11 kamikaze drones and 6 times fired artillery. The district center, Marhanets, Pokrovsk and Myrove communities were hit. 15 residential buildings, 12 outbuildings, cars and power lines were damaged.

On the second anniversary of russia’s full-scale armed invasion candles were lit at the Memorial to the fallen soldiers in Dnipro. The memory of the fallen was honored with a minute of silence.

School Police Officer project is operating in 5 communities of Kryvyi Rih region. Law enforcement officers provide access control, accompany children to shelters and conduct safety lessons. This is a pilot project that will last until the end of the school year.children

According to the State Emergency Service over the 2 years of full-scale war in Dnipropetrovsk oblast 300 people, including 16 children, were killed by the russian army. Another 1450, including 91 children, were injured. Nearly 700 buildings were destroyed and more than 15,000 damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Kirovohrad oblast

The Operational Command South reported that last night the Air Defence Forces destroyed 5  drones and 2 X-59 guided missiles over Kirovohrad oblast.

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, reported that the Air Defence and mobile fire groups were operating in Kirovohrad oblast. As a result of the falling debris on the enterprises territory in Kropyvnytskyi region, the administrative building was damaged and an outbuilding was destroyed.

On the 10th anniversary of the russian-Ukrainian war and the second anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion the memory of the fallen Ukrainian military was honored in Kropyvnytskyi at the Alley of Glory of the Fortress Vales memorial complex.

Poltava oblast

Philip Pronin, Head of the RMA, reported that soldiers who were killed fighting for Ukraine, for independence and freedom were honored.

Cherkasy oblast

Over the 2 years of full-scale war in Cherkasy oblast 25 people, including 30 children, have been killed and 30 others injured. In addition, 244 civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed or damaged.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that a 61-year-old woman was killed and a 32-year-old man sustained a hand injury as a result of russian shelling in Huliaipole.

Zaporizhzhia RMA reported that on February 23, russian troops conducted 614 attacks on 11 cities and villages in Zaporizhzhya oblast. They launched 12 airstrikes targeting Orikhove, Novodanylivka, Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka. Additionally, they conducted drone attacks, MRLS and utilized artillery 470 times in other settlements.

The General Staff informed that on 23 February, the Armed Forces repelled 8 russian attacks near Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Over 2 years of full-scale war in Zaporizhzhia oblast, 13,501 civilian objects have been partially or completely destroyed. In Zaporizhzhia, 12 high-rise buildings have been damaged and 9 of which are currently undergoing restoration.

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that during the night of February 24, russian forces launched 2 Shahed 131/136 UAVs and a guided aviation missile Kh-59 over Mykolaiv oblast, all of which were shot down by air defense systems.

Additionally, on February 23, at 8:41 am, 9:35 am, 10:04 am, 1:32 pm, and today, at 1 am, the invaders conducted artillery shelling in the waters near Ochakiv community. At 10:01 am and 3:56 pm, Kutsurub community were under artillery attack. Also, on February 23, at approximately 10:55, the Vesniansk community was targeted by a missile strike in an open area. There have been no casualties reported.

Yehor Kosorukov, Head of the Mykolaiv and Kherson branches of Ukrposhta JSC, announced that on February 23, a postal set titled “And Spring Will Come” was presented in Mykolaiv. The stamps depict significant events of the ten-year war of the Ukrainian people against russia, from the annexation of Crimea to the battles of Azovstal and Bakhmut.

Over two years of full-scale war, from February 24, 2022, to February 23, 2024 – there have been 2,871 air raid alerts in Mykolaiv oblast. Of these, 1,917 were at the regional level and 954 were at the level of individual cities and communities. The longest alert occurred on March 31, 2022, lasting 8 hours and 25 minutes.

Odesa oblast

According to the Air Force of Ukraine, on the night of February 24, russian occupiers launched 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (from Rostov oblast), 3 Kh-59 guided aviation missiles (from the TOT of Kherson oblast) and 12 Shahed UAVs (from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Chauda). Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 2 Kh-59 guided aviation missiles and 10 “Shahed” UAVs in Kirovohrad and Odesa oblasts.

Odesa City Council informed that on the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion of russian forces into Ukraine, Odesa commemorates the memory of fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives in the fight for independence and freedom. Representatives of regional and city authorities, military and law enforcement officials laid flowers at the monument to fallen defenders. Floral-laying ceremonies took place at the burial sites of both military and civilian victims of russian aggression.

In Odesa, Through Pain to Our Own charitable photo exhibition titled by journalist Olena Solomonova has opened, with proceeds from photo sales and donations going to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to Flightradar portal, as of February 24, an American reconnaissance aircraft has appeared near the southern borders of Odesa oblast, operating in Romanian airspace. Preliminarily, it is monitoring the situation in the Black Sea and humanitarian corridors.

Kherson oblast

The enemy forces shelled Bilozerka. A 35-year-old woman was killed and 2 people injured.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that as a result of the night shelling in Kherson, a 150 kV overhead transmission line was damaged, and a substation de-energized. Approximately 9,500 consumers were left without electricity.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the Kherson RMA, reported that yesterday the russian military shelled Kherson oblast 20 times, specifically Novotiahynka, Tiahynka, Prydniprovske, Kyzomys, Zmiivka, Inhulets, Veletenske, Stanislav, Osokorivka and Antonivka. Kherson was attacked by the russian forces 7 times, injuring  4 people.

According to the Southern Defense Forces, Ukrainian forces on the left bank of Kherson oblast eliminated 71 russian military personnel during the day. They also destroyed 2 mortars, 4 cannons, Murom-M video surveillance complex, 4 units of automotive equipment, 2 ZALA and Supercam reconnaissance UAVs and a ship of russian forces.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA reported that Lutsk City Council donated 20 pieces of Mavic 3 T to the 100th separate brigade.

Representatives of Lutsk City Council visited and handed over aid to the military in Kupiansk region. The 14th separate mechanized brigade received 6 pieces of Mavic 3T, 10 pieces of Mavic 3, 5 pieces of Mavic 3 FMC, 6 pieces of anti-drone guns KVS ANTIDRON G6+ and reset systems for Mavics. And also a Kia Sorento was purchased with the funds of city council employees.

The RMA held a working meeting with heads of communities of the oblast. Currently, the oblast has 315 rehabilitation beds in health care facilities. A decision was made to increase this number.

Zakarpattia oblast

A delegation from the Czech region of Vysochyna, led by Zdenek Kadlec, Head of the ViZa CF , is on a working visit in Zakarpattia. The Czechs came to Ukraine with a humanitarian mission. Specifically, a Ford Transit cargo van was handed over to Chop border detachment.

The Czech region of Vysochyna sent humanitarian cargo, including, cardiographs, oximeters, glucometers, medical stretchers and transport chairs and other medical equipment, to the medical institutions of Zakarpattia.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The anti-aircraft machine gun battalion, whose task is to protect the sky from enemy attacks, received  4 sets of air situation display panels, generators and car tires worth over UAH 500K. These are funds allocated within the framework of target programs to support the military formations of the region.

The RMA reported that they sent computer equipment worth UAH 100K to Kalush Procurement Center thanks to the budget funds.

Lviv oblast

Rustem Umierov, Defense Minister, and Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, visited the city’s recruiting center which was recently opened in Lviv. This is a pilot project launched by Lviv City Council together with the Ministry of Defense. Here they provide the necessary information and help you find your profession in the Armed Forces.

The Eye Care For Ukraine CF from the USA donated an operating microscope worth almost UAH 7 mln to Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital. This is a unique piece of equipment that will help medics in any type of ophthalmic surgery.

Rava-Ruska community received a minibus from the partner city of Jelgava (the Republic of Latvia). The transport will be given to a local football club.

A fighter from Myklashiv starosta region, who is fighting in the 3rd separate assault brigade, received a DJI AIR 3 quadcopter worth UAH 66K thanks to the employees of Pidberiztsiv village council.

Residents of Lviv oblast sent 2 searchlights to the defenders in Zaporozhzhia oblast. UAH 40K were donated for this by the employees of Kamianka-Buzka City Council. Residents raised another UAH 30K at a charity evening.

On the eve of the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion, the memory of the fallen Heroes was commemorated in Lviv oblast. Over the graves of the defenders in Lychakov, the rays of memory were launched into the sky. Families of the Heroes, the clergy, representatives of the authorities, residents and guests of the region took part in the event. The rally Rays of the Maidan was launched in 2023, before the first anniversary of the full-scale invasion.

Rivne oblast

In Rivne, the memory of the fallen of the russian-Ukrainian war was commemorated. A memorial service for the killed was held in the city of Rivne on the Alley of Heroes of the Nove cemetery. The leadership of the oblast, heads of law enforcement and military structures honored the memory of the defenders, who were killed for the freedom of our Ukraine, and put flowers on their graves.

The working group at Rivne RMA identified 2 more enterprises as critically important for the economy of the oblast and ensuring the livelihood of the population. Both are communal institutions engaged in sports education.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil defender received a high award for the defense of Ukraine. Infantryman Oleh Koloninka was awarded with the For Merit medal by the command of the 42nd Separate Mechanism 2nd Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Representatives of the RMA and the Protect Khmelnytskyi CF sent humanitarian aid, included, three multifunctional medical beds, antiseptic and hygiene products, to residents of Letychiv community.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that they sent a car to the military unit. The car is high passable, in good technical condition.

A full-fledged molecular genetics laboratory was opened at Chernivtsi Research Expert Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Where experts conduct biological examinations to identify killed and missing persons and determine family ties.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, read at the UN a joint statement on behalf of over 50 countries. He stated that russia is obliged to comply with the decision of the UN International Court of Justice and stop the war.

Ukraine signed an agreement on security guarantees with Canada. The document provides for Canada to allocate over 3 billion Canadian dollars in macro-financial and defense aid to Ukraine in 2024.

Ukraine and Italy signed an agreement on security guarantees. This document lays a solid foundation for a long-term security partnership between Ukraine and Italy.

Ukraine received 7 shipments of humanitarian aid from the United Arab Emirates with a total weight of about 100 tonnes. The first tranche included 1 640 portable power generators with a capacity from 2.8 kW to 8 kW. In general, 2K generators are expected to be received from partners in the UAE.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with the delegation of the Senate of the US Congress, namely, Chuck Schumer, Leader of the democratic majority in the Senate, senators Richard Blumenthal, Jack Reed, Michael Bennett, Maggie Hasan. Supporting Ukraine was discussed.

Dmytro Kuleba and Jose Manuel Albarez, Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Spain, met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. They discussed the Ukrainian Peace Formula, holding a global Peace Summit and Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, met with Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Denmark. They discussed measures that will contribute to the effective implementation of reforms, integration into the EU and continued support for the country.

Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, arrived in Kyiv on the day of the second anniversary of the russian federation’s full-scale war against Ukraine. Also, the prime ministers of Italy, Canada and Belgium have already arrived in Kyiv.

The Eiffel Tower was illuminated in yellow and blue colors. On the eve of the second anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, in France, as a sign of solidarity with the Ukrainian people, iconic buildings were illuminated with the colors of the national flag of Ukraine. Also, “Ukrainian” lighting was organized on the D’Orsay embankment for the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. And in Strasbourg, the same colors decorate the building of the Palace of Europe.

In Brussels, Ukrainian flags were hung in front of the European Parliament and a 30-meter flag was unfurled. The rally was organized by the mission of Ukraine to the EU, and was joined by the Ukrainian community, as well as foreigners who support Ukraine.

On the second anniversary of russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, people around the world rallied in support of Ukraine. The Czech Republic, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, Denmark, Croatia, South Korea and dozens of other countries rallied as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine.
