It has been the 730th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The enemy continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine, ignores the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, launches strikes, and attacks both military and civilian targets. The enemy is actively using aircraft and FPV quadcopters, conducting assault operations with the support of armored vehicles.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

During the day of February 23, there were 58x combat engagements. 

The enemy launched a total of 5x missile and 60x air strikes, carried out 62x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks resulted in killed and wounded civilians. Residential private and apartment buildings, as well as other infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 10x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Karpovychi, Prohres (Chernihiv oblast), Seredyna-Buda, Novovolodymyrivka, Atyns’ke, Volfyne, Hrabovs’ke, Velyka Pysarivka (Sumy oblast), Udy, Strilecha, Vovchans’k, Budarky, Chuhunivka, Topoli (Kharkiv oblast).

Kup’yans’k axis: the adversary made 1x assault attempt near Syn’kivka (Kharkiv oblast). The occupiers launched an air strike in the vicinity of Novojehorivka (Luhansk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Syn’kivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 1x assault near Terny (Donetsk oblast), where the adversary made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Makiivka, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Tors’ke, Serebryanka, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 6x attacks in the vicinity of Ivanivske (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to improve their tactical situation. The invaders launched air strikes near Klishchiivka, Andriivka, Bila Hora, Kurdyumivka, New York (Donetsk oblast). More than10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). 

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 9x attacks in the vicinities of Lastochkyne, Sjeverne, Pervomais’ke (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched air strikes near Novobakhmutivka, Orlivka, Tonen’ke (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Oleksandropil’, Novobakhmutivka, Ocheretyne, Pervomais’ke, Netailove (Donetsk oblast).

Mar’inka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinities of Pobjeda and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders, with air support, made 31x attempts to breach Ukrainian defense, to no success. The adversary launched air strikes near Kostyantynivka, Krasnohorivka (Donetsk oblast). The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Pobjeda, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Novopavlivka axis: the adversary conducted no offensives. The enemy launched an air strike in the vicinity of Vodyane (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne (Donetsk oblast).

Zaporizhzhia axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 1x attack in the vicinity of Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinities of Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 15x settlements, including Charivne, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Lobkove, P’yatykhatky, Stepnohirs’k, Plavni (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Odesa operational-strategic group, Kherson axis: the occupiers do not abandon their intention to drive Ukrainian units out of their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro. During the day, the enemy made 7x attempts to assault positions of Ukrainian troops. More than 5x settlements, including the city of Kherson, the settlements of Novotyahynka, Veletens’ke, Stanislav (Kherson oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers. 

During the day of February 23, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 6x concentrations of troops, 3x air defense systems of the occupiers. 

The Ukrainian missile troops hit 1x command posts, 3x artillery systems, 1x ammunition depot, 2x radar stations of Buk-M3 SAM system of the russian invaders.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning that Ukrainian troops repelled 43 russian attacks towards Marinka. In total, there were 86 battles in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, towards Kupiansk, russian troops attempted to advance four times near Synkivka. About 10 settlements in Kupiansk region were under artillery and mortar attacks, including Dvorichna, Synkivka and Ivanivka.

Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that about 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered enemy artillery and mortar attack, including: Synkivka, Dvorichna and Ivanivka.

At 11:15 pm, Mokra Rokytna village, Kharkiv region, was hit. A private agricultural enterprise was damaged as a result of enemy drone strikes. There 5 hits, a storage shed was damaged, 15 cows killed and at least 10 two-month-old calves trapped under the rubble.

During the day, the enemy carried out 5 offensives near Synkivka and Tabaivka. They were unsuccessful.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 13.62 hectares of territory and destroyed 258 explosive ordnance.

The press service of the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv oblast reported that the sappers removed an unexploded KAB-500 from a garden in Katerynivka, Velykyi Burluk community. The sappers also removed and defused a KAB-250 in Shevchenkove.

Russian troops are using S-300s, artillery and KAB bombs in Kharkiv oblast due to the proximity of the border. Yurii Ihnat, Spokesman of the Air Force Command, reported that there is a lower percentage of shootdowns. However, russia cannot launch UAVs further than 25 km from the frontline as they are afraid to fly closer. According to Ihnat, volunteers, local communities and foundations help to purchase weapons for Ukrainian mobile groups.   

Donetsk oblast

The press service of Donetsk police stated that after midnight russians launched three missiles at Myrnohrad. One person was killed. An apartment building, more than 20 private houses, a school and 5 civilian cars were destroyed.

During the day, the occupation forces carried out 1599 attacks, 12 of which were attacks on settlements. 8 settlements were targeted: Kurakhove city, Pivnichne settlement, Berdychi, Druzhba, Keramik, Kostiantynopilske, Predtechyne, Umanske villages.  A residential building, a life support facility and transport were damaged. The shelling damaged an agricultural enterprise and destroyed 480 tonnes of grain.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Pokrovsk, 8 private houses were damaged in Kurakhove community, 1 person killed and 9 injured in Kostiantynopilske. 9 more people were injured in Kurakhove. 23 private houses, an apartment building and a boarding school were damaged by a missile attack in Myrnohrad.

Towards Kramatorsk, the outskirts of Lyman community were under attack. 4 houses were damaged in Kostiantynivka community: 2 in Mykolaivka and 2 in Viroliubivka. Poltavka of Illinivsk community was attacked by Shahed drones, damaging 9 objects.

Towards Bakhmut, in Toretsk community, 1 person was injured in Druzhba and a house damaged in Pivnichne. In Chasiv Yar community, 13 private houses and an apartment building were damaged. A house was damaged in Serebrianka of Siversk community. Rozdolivka and Vasiukivka of Soledar community were shelled.

In total, russians attacked settlements in Donetsk oblast 12 times over the day. 52 people, including 5 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Yaroslav Chepurnyi, Spokesman of the 79th Air Assault Brigade, stated that on 22 February, russian occupation forces increased the number of attacks towards Marinka. Ukrainian troops repelled 30 russian infantry attacks near Novomykhailivka.

Kramatorsk City Administration warned that after a missile attack on 20 February, tap water should not be used for cooking, washing dishes and bathing. The water supply system may contain industrial water.

More than 12,000 families in the oblast received heating assistance from international organisations last autumn and this winter. Charitable organisations are preparing new programmes to support the frontline oblast as these will include mini-grants for entrepreneurs and food vouchers.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy does not stop shelling settlements located near the frontline.

Yesterday the invaders were attacking with various types of weapons around Makiivka and Nevske. Nevertheless, the local military administration brought a weekly supply of bread to the residents of Novoliubivka and Nevske.

Even when the enemy does not use aviation in this area of the frontline, the threat from the sky does not disappear. Specifically, the invaders attacked with 13 drones yesterday.

Also russians attacked near Terny, south of Nevske.

The most difficult security situation is in Bilohorivka, Kreminna forest and near Terny in Donetsk oblast. The invaders have increased the number of ground attacks involving a large number of armoured vehicles.

Skhid Vuhillia enterprise, which operates 16 mines in the so-called “lpr”, reported that it did not meet its annual production plan.

The enterprise notes that it officially has 3,500 people mobilised to the occupation forces. At the same time, the shortage of staff is more than 8,000 people: the staff is 22,180, the actual number is 13,903. This already raises questions about the real losses of the invaders.

More than a month has passed since an emergency was declared in Borivske due to groundwater flooding. Water is standing in the streets, basements and homes. It is forbidden to drink water from wells that many people have in their backyards. Locals are waiting for measures to be taken while the occupation authorities are waiting for spring.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

In 2023, experts from Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise carried out more than 50,000 forensic examinations, of which about 30,000 were related to the facts of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine. These examinations include not only the analysis of russian weapons, but also engineering and technical studies of the destruction of property as a result of military events, economic examinations to assess the damage caused to the state and citizens, as well as computer and technical examinations of the aggressor’s equipment and electronic means. 

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, reported that last year, 17,000 houses out of 29,000 damaged by russian aggression were restored in the Kyiv oblast. During this period, 1.2 thousand shelters were set up in educational institutions of the region.

According to the State Emergency Service of Kyiv oblast, in Bila Tserkva, rescuers conducted large-scale training for the staff of a medical facility, taking into account the risks of wartime. The rescuers practised coordinated actions with medical professionals, as well as their skills and techniques for eliminating conditional emergencies.

According to the Kyiv RMA, last year the oblast handed over 75 pickup trucks with all the necessary equipment to mobile fire groups. Regular support is provided to the 72nd Mechanised Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians and 114 territorial defence unit. This assistance to the military was made possible through the joint efforts of the military administration, communities and responsible businesses.

Two powerful engineering vehicles have joined the collection of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They were handed over to the military by NNEGC Energoatom with the assistance of the Kyiv RMA. This equipment will be used in the war to mechanise engineering works.

Cinema for Victory, Ukraine’s first national documentary film festival, will take place in Kyiv from February 23 to 25. It will feature films about the russian-Ukrainian war. The main objectives of the festival are to maintain attention to the war in Ukraine, document russia’s crimes against Ukrainians, and reward documentary filmmakers who use cinema to prove the need for strong and lasting support for Ukraine from international partners.

Street stand exhibition Phoenix Cities. Rebuilding after the War Destruction opened in Kyiv. The exhibition is dedicated to the second anniversary of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The exhibition is organised by the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War and the Polish Institute in Kyiv.

Zhytomyr oblast

According to Zhytomyr RMA, a pilot project called the Educational Security Service has been launched in 20 schools located in the border area with the republic of belarus. Its goal is to protect children in the face of a full-scale invasion and create a safe educational environment. To date, 27 police officers have been trained in secondary schools and 20 have already started performing their duties.

Another off-road vehicle was delivered to the Ukrainian Air Defence Forces. The Nissan Navara was purchased by Metalofasad. The vehicle has been serviced and is ready to help the soldiers defend the skies over Zhytomyr oblast.

Sumy oblast

At night and in the morning, russian troops fired 11 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 44 explosions, including mortar and MLRS attacks. Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorodske communities were under hostile fire.

According to Sumy RMA, russian military fired 10 times in the oblast. There were 50 attacks with mortars, artillery, AGS and small arms. Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda, and Svesa communities were shelled. 

As part of the eRestoration programme, 1,501 residents of Sumy oblast received compensation for damaged property totalling almost UAH 129 million. Damage statistics are entered into the register of damaged and destroyed property by the relevant commissions. As of today, this register contains more than 8,000 damaged properties in the oblast’s communities, including more than 4,000 private households and more than 700 apartment buildings.

Chernihiv oblast

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, on February 22, russian troops fired 8 times at 3 border communities in Chernihiv oblast. Semenivka community suffered 18 mortar attacks, Snovsk community – 6 MLRS attacks, Novhorod-Siverskyi community – 28 mortar attacks and an FPV drone attack.

Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in Chernihiv oblast have served a notice of suspicion to a russian serviceman with the call sign ‘Klion’. In March 2022, the russian military held 366 people for almost a month in the school basement of the village of Yahidne, 10 of whom died. The russian officer was notified of suspicion under article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war), which includes cruel treatment of civilians, torture and the use of civilians as human shields.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council reported that 5 enemy Shaheds were destroyed by the defenders in Synelnykove, Dnipro and Novomoskovsk regions. In Dnipro due to the attack a high-rise building was damaged. 8 people were wounded, 2 remain in the hospital. 2 apartments were destroyed as a result of the enemy shelling. There was also a fire caused by a drone strike. In the evening and at night the enemy shelled Nikopol region with artillery 5 times targeting Nikopol, Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka communities. 2 enterprises, 3 houses, outbuildings and power lines were damaged there.

Serhii Lusaka, Head of the RMA reported that also in Dnipro as a result of an UAV’s crashing on a high-rise building, the bodies of a man and a woman were recovered from the rubble.

One of the medical institutions in Dnipropetrovsk region held a Donor Day. More than a hundred volunteers came to donate blood for the military.

Vinnytsia oblast

Memorial plaques were unveiled in Vinnytsia region in memory of the fallen defenders Maksym Tsybulskyi and Vladyslav Kozhukhar. They were unveiled at the school where the soldiers studied.

Vinnytsia City Council allocated more than UAH 103 million for the military needs and shelters for kindergartens.

Kirovohrad oblast

And there will be spring! stamp was presented  in Kropyvnytskyi and dedicated to the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion and the 10th anniversary of the war in Ukraine. This postal block consists of 4 wartime photographs. The block includes 4 stamps with photos from 2014, when russia occupied Crimea.

Cherkasy oblast

Vasyl Sidko, City Mayor announced that in Cherkasy region 10 more drones were sent to the frontline from Talne community.

Anatolii Bondarenko, Charkasy Mayor reported that in Cherkasy region the military received a field kitchen from Germany to improve the equipment in canteens. The cost of the equipment is about 40 thousand euros. The kitchen will be able to serve up to 1,500 people daily.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

It is reported that on February 22 russian forces shelled 9 populated areas in Zaporizhzhia oblast 401 times. The aggressors launched 16 MLRS attacks on Robotyne and also targeted Huliaipole, Malynivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, and Novoandriivka with 105 drones. Additionally, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Robotyne, Novodanylivka, Novodarivka, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, and Piatykhatky were with artillery 280 times. There were 19 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.

Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 5 enemy attacks west of Verbove and near Robotyne. This information was reported by the General Staff. 

Mykolaiv oblast

Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that on February 22 and the morning of February 23, russian forces 7 times with artillery attacked communities in Mykolaiv region. There were no casualties or injuries reported.

During the night of February 23, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 31 “Shahed” UAVs (from Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Krasnodar Krai, Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea), 3 S-300 surface-to-air missiles (from Donetsk region), an anti-radiation missile X-31P, and 2 Kh-22 cruise missiles (Black Sea waters), which lost combat capability in the air. One drone was destroyed by the Southern Air Command over Mykolaiv region.

The press service of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration announced that recently, Deputy Head of the Mykolaiv RMA, Mykola Marinov, and Chief of the Mykolaiv office of UST, Dmytro Tarasenko, met with the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony Stephan Weil, officials, and businessmen. The outcome of the visit was the signing of a statement of intent for partnership between the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration and the government of Lower Saxony. The parties expressed readiness to expand humanitarian aid, exchange experiences in city development, infrastructure, and logistics. The final goal is to support Ukraine on its path to the EU and post-war reconstruction.

Odesa oblast

Oleg Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, reported that on the evening of February 22 as a result of a russian attack with combat drones, a fire broke out at a civilian infrastructure site in Odesa. 3 killed people have been confirmed. Additionally, 6 drones were shot down by air defense forces over Odesa region.

A medical facility in Odesa received crucial assistance from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society. This organization, actively engaged on the humanitarian front, supports governmental structures and provides assistance to people in complex situations, particularly in conditions of armed conflict. The medical aid includes emergency beds, medical mattresses, and wheelchairs for people with disabilities. These supplies will be utilized for the treatment and rehabilitation of city residents, especially those returning after military service. This information was announced by the Odesa City Council.

As of today, dozens of ships are waiting for loading at the ports of Odesa. The majority of shipments consist of agricultural products, with a significant portion attributed to metallurgy. Specifically, there are 15 ships in the port of Odesa, 21 in Chornomorsk, and 8 in Pivdennyi. Among these ships, 2 are chemical tankers. Additionally, 9 ships are departing the ports, while 2 arriving. This data was obtained from the MarineTraffic portal.

Kherson oblast

Yesterday, the enemy executed 287 shelling attacks, firing 1716 projectiles, using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, mortars, tanks, and drones. The city of Kherson was targeted with 27 projectiles. One person was killed, and two others were wounded due to the russian aggression.

The Police in Kherson oblast reported that Kherson, Sadove, Antonivka, Veletenske, Novotiahynka, Novodmytrivka, Beryslav, Tomaryne, and Lvove were affected by the enemy attacks. 35 objects were damaged in Kherson region, including an archive building, an administrative building, a factory, a post office, a gas pipeline, a shop, cars, garages, a warehouse, and 14 private houses. A 59-year-old man was killed, and four buildings were damaged in Lvove due to enemy artillery shelling.

The russian army targeted residential neighborhoods in Kherson with artillery. The contact trolleybus network, administrative buildings, a center for the homeless, multi-story and private houses, and a shop were damaged. Several vehicles, garages, and a warehouse were also destroyed by fire.​

54 russian military personnel were eliminated on the left bank of Kherson oblast yesterday. This was reported by Nataliia Humeniuk, the head of the press center of the “South” Operational Command. Also, 11 large-caliber artillery guns, six mortar crews, and three radio-electronic warfare stations were destroyed. Five attempts to storm the positions of the Ukrainian forces were repelled.

Another painting, “By the Fireplace” by Ivan Kramskoi, was reported stolen by the russians. The painting depicts a girl illuminated by the dim light of a fireplace. According to Kherson Art Museum, the Russian authorities claim Kramskoi as a russian artist, while the museum asserts that this is not accurate.

The humanitarian center “Proliska” is assisting in arranging shelters in Beryslav region. Volunteers provided sleeping bags, mattresses, solar lamps, dishes, and cans. The support was made possible through the UNHCR Ukraine – the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine.

Police officers delivered humanitarian aid from the “Unity and Strength” charity foundation to 13 orphaned children in Dniprovskyi and Korabelnyi districts of Kherson. Winter clothing, shoes, personal hygiene products, stationery, and toys were provided to the children living in conditions of constant shelling.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk community sent aid to the military in the Avdiyiv region. The 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade received 13 Mavic 3T, 15 Mavic 3, 2 Ecoflow and 50 FPV drones from the Only Together CF. The 3th separate assault team received 4 pieces of Mavic 3 Pro, 2 pieces of Mavic 3T, Matrice 30 T, a Kia Sorento car (purchased with the funds of city council employees) and 50 FPV drones from the Only Together CF. The 31th individual mechanized brigades received 7 Mavic 3 units.

Zakarpattia oblast

Employees of Zakarpattia Regional Council and the RMA took part in a training on providing first aid. All those interested had the opportunity to obtain the necessary knowledge on how to act in emergency situations, which algorithm of actions to use to stop bleeding, in case of injury, epileptic attack or strangulation, and how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on your own, before the arrival of medics.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that the community sent three EW complexes to the 10th tank battalion of the separate mountain assault brigade Edelveis.

In Yaremche, the IV charity auction was held in support of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade Edeleis. The most expensive lot was a painting by Bohdan Brynskyi, famous Carpathian artist, father of the fallen Hero. Velikyi Shevchenko in his performance was sold for UAH 200K. In total, it was possible to raise UAH 1 mln.

Lviv oblast

An on-site meeting of the Government was held in Lviv. Among key issues is the situation with the blockade at the border.

Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Denmark, and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, are in Lviv on an official visit. Before working meetings, together they honored the memory of the fallen Defenders of Ukraine on the field of honorable burials at Lychakiv cemetery.

The RMA held a meeting with Olena Duma, Head of the National Agency for Identification, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes. They discussed the introduction of joint measures regarding the use of sanatorium-resort facilities for the rehabilitation of military personnel.

The building of the university in Dublian, which was damaged by enemy shelling on January 1, will be equipped with a temporary dome. This protective structure will save the historic building from further destruction. Also, the cover will protect the university from precipitation. Under this cover, craftsmen will be able to carry out repair and restoration work regardless of weather conditions. These works are carried out with extrabudgetary funds.

The RMA reported that the Children of Chornobyl German CF of Lower Saxony donated an ultrasound machine for echocardiography to Strii Children’s Polyclinic.

Rivne oblast

As of today, 48 583 IDPs remain officially living in Rivne oblast. 13K of them are children, and over 7K are pensioners.

A transport incubator with an artificial lung ventilation device appeared in Rivne oblast to provide assistance to newborns. Such medical assistance came from the United Nations Population Fund in Ukraine.

A two-day practical training on effective communication with veterans and relatives of fallen soldiers in the single veteran window of the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services took place in Rivne oblast and was attended by administrators from 23 Centers for the Provision of Administrative Services of the oblast.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that the community sent 25 FPV drones complete with batteries for Ternopil military personnel who are performing tasks in the area of ​​hostilities in Donetsk oblast.

The RMA held a meeting of the Coordinating Center for the Support of the Civilian Population. Zakarpattia is intensifying work in the direction of psychosocial assistance and provision of housing for citizens affected by the war.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent 90 FPV drones to the Defense Forces worth UAH 1.6 mln thanks to the budget funds, as well as manufactured by our own forces. Since the beginning of 2024, the city council has sent 910 FPV drones and 110 expensive quadcopters to the military worth over UAH 37 mln. Separately, over 120 FPVs and 28 copters have already been sent from extrabudgetary resources.

Chernivtsi oblast

Ruslan Zaparaniuk, Head of the RMA, met with representatives of the New Strategy Center, namely with Adrian-Georges Skutaru, Director general of the center, Kateryna Dadiverina Coordinator of the project department for Ukraine, and Brigadier General Marius-Hayents Patrike, Deputy director of the Main Directorate of Internal Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs affairs of Romania. They discussed the issue of Romania’s support to Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor.

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the UN World Food Program. Current projects and further cooperation were discussed.

Kelmenets Multidisciplinary Hospital received a 100 kW generator thanks to the Ministry of Health and the UNITED24 initiative.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mette Frederiksen signed the Agreement on Security Cooperation and Long-Term Support between Denmark and Ukraine.

Grant Shepps, Minister of Defense of Great Britain, announced that the country will deliver 200 more Brimstone missiles to Ukraine. He also noted that Great Britain will continue to train Ukrainian troops together with other allies, adding that together they will train “another 10K servicemen in the first half of 2024.”

Denmark announced the provision of the 15th package of military aid worth $247 mln to Ukraine. The new package includes funds for the purchase of 15K artillery shells in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic. The package also includes air defense equipment and ammunition, demining equipment and drones.

The Latvian parliament adopted amendments to the law on agriculture and rural development, which prohibit the import of agricultural and fodder products from the russian federation and belarus for consumption in Latvia.

The Ukrainian negotiating team held another round of negotiations with France regarding the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement. All structural blocks and specific key provisions of the agreement were discussed with a view to its finalization.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Charles Michel, President of the European Council. Support for Ukraine was discussed.

Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with Professor George Milbradt, special envoy of the German government for reforms in the spheres of governance and decentralization in Ukraine. They discussed the process of decentralization in Ukraine and the steps to be taken to complete the relevant reform.
