It has been the 658th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian federation continues to wage a war of aggression. Despite significant losses, it does not abandon its plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine. The enemy continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, uses terror tactics, conducts strikes, and shells both military and civilian targets.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

During the day of December 13, there were 89x combat engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 10 missile strikes, 4 airstrikes and 32 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian injuries. Private residential buildings as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group were noticed. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Bleshnya, Mkhy, Hremiach (Chernihiv oblast), Vyntorivka, Brusky, Holyshivske, Kostiantynivka, Hrabovske, Velyka Pysarivka (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, and Budarky (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka and 2 attacks east of Petropavlivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 2 attacks in the area of Serebrianka forestry (Luhansk oblast) and east of Terny (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka, Serebrianka forestry (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Serebrianka, Spirne, and Verkhnokamianske (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, Ukrainian defenders repelled 6 attacks near Ivanivske and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Kostiantynivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and Niu York (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Avdiivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled 25 attacks in the area east of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and 20 attacks south of Sieverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy was making unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defences. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Marinka, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the vicinities of Novomykhailivka and Krasnohorivka (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy launched 11 failed attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders. The occupiers launched an airstrike inear Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). The settlements of Heorhiivka, Marinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostyantynivka (Donetsk oblast) were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Shakhtarske, the russian army conducted no offensives. Around 10 settlements, including Prechystivka, Staromaiorske, and Rivnopil (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 6 enemy attacks near Robotyne and west of Verbove (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 20 settlements, including Levadne, Poltavka, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, and Mali Shcherbaky (Zaporizhzhia oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the enemy fired artillery at the settlements of Ivanivka, Novodmytrivka, Oleksandrivka (Kherson oblast), the cities of Kherson and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast).

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River (Kherson oblast) and inflict fire on the enemy.

Ukrainian Air Force launched 5 strikes on buildups of enemy troops, weapons and military equipment.

Ukrainian missile troops hit 1 command post, and 2 buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.


Petro Andriushchenko, Advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, informs that on December 12, ,russians sentenced Mariupol defense lawyer Dmytro Shalar to life in prison in a trumped-up criminal case.  Russian terrorists sentenced Mariupol  Dmytro Shalar to life imprisonment. 

Volodymyr Fitio, Head of the public relations service of the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, informs that the Kyivstar outage did not affect the actions of the Ukrainian military. 

Kyivstar’s digital infrastructure was critically damaged. One of the russian pseudo-hacker groups has already claimed responsibility for the attack. It is a hacker unit of the General Staff of the russian Armed Forces.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, over 21 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were under artillery and mortar attacks: Chervona Zoria of Bohodukhiv region, Kozacha Lopan, Lukiantsi, Zelene of Kharkiv region, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, Ivanivka, Berestove of Kupiansk region, etc.

Buildings were damaged and a civilian born in 1951 killed on the territory of his household as a result of artillery shelling in Kupiansk.

A civilian born in 1944 was injured, a residential building destroyed and two residential buildings damaged in Kupiansk around 10:20 am as a result of artillery shelling. The victim was hospitalised, his condition is critical. 

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 8 enemy attacks near Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Ivanivka. Kupiansk is being reinforced with a ring defence, as was done for Kharkiv, and fortifications are being built in all directions, with the priority being to strengthen four directions in Kharkiv oblast.

Pyrothenics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 3.4 hectares of territory in Kharkiv, Izium, Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk and Chuhuiv regions and defused 62 explosive ordnance devices. Mine clearance is ongoing.

Oleh Pul, Head of the Regional Department for Veterans’ Affairs, reported that the first group of veterans’ assistants, consisting of nine people, began studying in Kharkiv oblast on 4 December. According to him, in 2024, the pilot project will expand and start operating throughout Kharkiv oblast, with eight communities currently involved in the project. Assistants are recruited at the rate of one specialist per 100 veterans.

Kharkiv Emergency Medical Centre received 7 vehicles worth EUR 1 million each. This is the result of joint work between Kharkiv Regional Council and Greater Poland Voivodeship.

Donetsk oblast

The press service of Donetsk police reported that yesterday russian troops conducted 6 attacks on civilians. The enemy used Grad multiple rocket launchers and artillery. A residential building was damaged. Five settlements were shelled: Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka cities, Vovchenka, Netailove and Orlivka villages.

According to Dontesk Regional Military Administration, towards Donetsk, in Marinka community 1 person was injured in Krasnohorivka and Heorhiivka and Maksymilianivka shelled. A building was damaged in Novoselivka Persha of Ocheretyne community. Avdiivka suffered isolated shelling. Kurakhove community was hit 7 times: a building was damaged in Ostrovske and Hanivka, Vesely Hai, Vovchenka and the private sector of Kurakhove were targeted.

Towards Horlivka, 2 private buildings and an industrial building were damaged in Chasiv Yar community.

Towards Lysychansk, Siversk was shelled and Lyman community suffered 12 attacks.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that Ukrainian troops repelled 51 russian attacks near Avdiivka on 12 December.

Commander Oleksandr Tarnavskyi stated that russians lost 13 tanks and 12 different armoured vehicles near Avdiivka and Marinka on 12 December.

Oleksii Tarasenko, Officer of the 5th Assault Brigade, confirmed that russian troops are making progress near Bakhmut due to the ‘fresh’ units still left. They are seeking to capture Chasiv Yar to create a threat to the headquarters and logistics of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, severe weather conditions make it difficult to actively use drones and aircraft. Also russian offensive is supported mainly by artillery, which is hitting Ukrainian positions and liberated villages. Yesterday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled two attacks near Makiivka. The enemy shelled from Novovodiane to Nevske, not avoiding Makiivka. The enemy artillery and mortars also focused on Bilohorivka and Serebrianka forest.

Bread was delivered to residents of the liberated villages in Krasnorichensk community. Residents of Hrekivka and Makiivka also received food, hygiene kits, lanterns, blankets and utensils.

Additional patrols have been deployed in Rubizhne. They are searching for deserters and checking civilians. They identify men who are fit for the frontline. The local maternity hospital is being converted into a military hospital.

In Luhansk, russians began installing video surveillance cameras with face recognition capabilities. Large cities in russia are equipped with such systems, which allows the FSB to keep the population under total control. Using such a system, it is possible to establish not only a person’s gender and age, but also their identity.

The invaders do not want to wait for the year 2026, which is specified in the legislation of the russian federation. They are going to ban the movement of cars with Ukrainian licence plates as early as January 2024. The period for exchanging number plates has been reduced by two years. You can re-register a car only with a russian passport. Owners of unregistered vehicles will not have their entry or exit permits to the settlements of the so-called “lpr” renewed.

Roman Vlasenko, Head of Sievierodonetsk Regional State Administration, informed that only a few buildings have heating and only 10% of the population have heat from modular boilers. The rest are looking for heating options on their own. Food prices in the so-called ‘luhansk people’s republic’ are rising as people get closer to the frontline. There is no mobile phone or internet connection on the territory.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to Kyiv RMA, at night, the russian military launched an attack with S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles and Iskander cruise missiles. Air defences destroyed all enemy targets, but missile debris fell in four districts of the capital. As a result, 53 people were injured in Kyiv: 20 people hospitalised, including two children; 33 people treated by medics on the spot, including 6 children.

Kyiv RMA reported that a fire broke out in a residential building in Desnianskyi district of Kyiv as a result of the night attack, and 17 people were evacuated. A residential building  caught fire.

In Dniprovskyi district, a children’s hospital and a kindergarten were damaged; two residential buildings damaged by the blast wave; a house caught fire; 3 houses damaged by the debris; and the water supply network damaged. Also, 19 cars were damaged, 4 of which completely destroyed.

According to Kyiv City State Administration, residents of a multi-storey residential building in the Dniprovskyi district of Kyiv, which suffered the most damage as a result of a night-time rocket attack, were sheltered at the Invincibility Centre. They were provided with heat, hot drinks and food, internet, communication and first aid. The city authorities will provide temporary accommodation for the affected residents until the building is restored. 

35 residential buildings in Dniprovskyi district were left without power as a result of damage to power lines caused by missile fragments. As of 14:27, DTEK Kyiv Power Grids specialists have restored power to 31 houses, while work is ongoing in 4 houses.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, reported that Kyiv oblast has begun installing alternative communication systems for settlements without coverage due to a hacker attack on Kyivstar. These are 10 villages with a population of 3,000 people. The company is rapidly setting up network access points, installing Starlink terminals, operating invincibility centres and arranging Wi-Fi connections where there is a fixed Internet connection.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Association of Women in Law Enforcement (UAWLE) Hub has opened in Kyiv. It will become an informal platform for the development of law enforcement officers from various agencies. It will also serve to introduce the Community Policing approach – deepening cooperation between police and civil society. The project was implemented with the support of the US Embassy and the Embassies of Canada in Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre raised almost UAH 1.7 million to purchase drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The funds were raised through tickets to a charity performance.

Zhytomyr oblast

The settlements in the north of Zhytomyr oblast, which were occupied at the beginning of the full-scale war and were under regular shelling by russian troops, face a humanitarian and environmental disaster. The company’s specialists started collecting and analysing information in Malyn community. Out of five areas surveyed, two were identified as potentially unsafe.

According to Zhytomyr RMA, 704 Invincibility Centres have been established in administrative buildings of Zhytomyr Oblast’s territorial communities. 

On December 12, the Travelling International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA started in the oblast centre. It will last for three days. The festival was opened by the documentary film Unconquered Kherson by Ustyn Danchuk. Also, the festival will be held in Irshansk, Malyn and Khoroshiv.

Sumy oblast

According to Sumy RMA, at night, russians fired at Svesa and Esman border communities. There were five mortar attacks and small arms fire.

Yesterday, there were five shelling attacks on the border areas in Sumy oblast. There were 26 attacks against Khotin, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda communities. The territory of Shalyhine community was fired upon with small arms.

Sumy oblast national police reported that russian shelling damaged a residential building and power lines in the town of Seredyna-Buda.

Sumy RMA reported that the Coordination Centre operates under the RMA. Its work is aimed at supporting and coordinating the provision of assistance to the population affected by the armed conflict. The Centre currently cooperates with more than 30 international and Ukrainian charitable organisations that provide assistance to residents of Sumy oblast.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service reported that russian troops launched 13 grenade launcher attacks on the border of Chernihiv oblast. The enemy fired at Snovsk community near the village of Kliusy.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, reported that a command and staff emergency response drills were held in Chernihiv oblast. The National Police, the State Emergency Service, the Defence Forces, as well as representatives of the authorities and critical life support services took part. The interaction of all forces was tested, and response and elimination algorithms developed.

A kindergarten in the village of Honcharivske is being restored after it was hit by russian missiles. The project involves major repairs with thermal modernisation, installation of water supply, sewerage, heating, ventilation and a shelter.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

During the night, the occupiers hit Nikopol twice with artillery. More than half a dozen shells were fired. There was no damage or casualties.

The enemy pointed a kamikaze drone at Nikopol and twice shelled the city with heavy artillery. A 70-year-old woman received a shrapnel wound. She was provided with medical assistance and is being treated at home. A recreation center, an administrative building, a kindergarten, two private enterprises, and non-residential buildings were damaged. Half a dozen high-rise buildings, an outbuilding and a car were mutilated.

An evacuation bus for the wounded was sent to help medics. It has 9 seats, one of which is intensive care. The bus has all the necessary equipment for the most severe patient who requires monitoring of vital signs and artificial ventilation of the lungs or cardiovascular system support. The bus was purchased at the expense of concerned Germans and Ukrainians living in Bamberg. Previously it was used as a civilian one and they converted it into an evacuation vehicle, adhering to world standards.

Vinnytsia oblast

Volunteers from Tomashpil community daily send dozens of small pots and home-made boxes for lighting trench candles, warm rugs and home-made heating devices to the frontline. Heaters for defenders are made by residents of the surrounding villages and communities, united in groups and mini-workshops. Then everything is taken to the Nebaiduzhi Tomashpilchany (Concerned Tomashpil residents) volunteer center. They care for the defenders. Tomashpil volunteers make potbelly stoves from used gas cylinders to warm up and cook food. With the onset of cold weather, volunteers made and handed over 100 ordinary and 30 smokeless stoves for the defenders..

Vinnytsia community provided the fighters of one of the brigades with 5 unmanned aerial systems, 35 FPV drones, 20 K chemical heaters, a sanitary car, warm clothes and goodies. 

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of RMA announced that after the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Kirovohrad region became a second home for more than 28 K IDPs from Donetsk oblast. They were sheltered in the region’s communities, provided with housing and everything they needed. The community took care of social benefits for those who needed them and restored their documents.

Poltava oblast

Poltava community approved the list of defenders whose portraits will be the first to be printed for the Poltava Remembers Heroes project. Photos and information will be placed on special stands. All organizational and financial issues regarding production of the structures  on which photographs will be placed are solved. On December 20, the first ten structures depicting 20 Heroes will be installed.

Cherkasy oblast

Helmiaziv psychoneurological boarding school sheltered 40 disabled IDPs. Currently, the institution cares for 170 people, despite the fact that it is designed for 135 people. The wards receive the necessary treatment in the institution. Much attention is paid to leisure and communication.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

The russian military launched 88 strikes on 21 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. There were 3 MLRS attacks on Robotyne and Novodanylivka, and 17 drone attacks against Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, and Novodarivka. Additionally, 68 artillery strikes hit Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Levadne, Bilohiria, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Poltavka, Luhivske, Verkhnia Tersa, Stepove, Kamianske, and other towns and villages along the frontline. Several residential buildings were damaged due to enemy shelling, but civilians were unharmed.

According to the General Staff, as of 18:00 on December 13, the defense forces repelled 6 enemy attacks in the areas of Robotyne and west of Verbove towards Zaporizhzhia. Defenders repelled 8 enemy attacks north of Pryiutyne, west of Verbove, and south of Robotyne.

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv RMA, says that on December 12 and 13, the russian army carried out strikes on the village of Solonchaky in Kutsurub community and shelled the city of Ochakiv in Mykolaiv oblast. There are no  casualties reported. 

The Embassy of Switzerland in Ukraine has donated seven ambulances to the Ministry of Health, some of these being sent to Mykolaiv oblast. These ambulances are designated for evacuating the wounded and sick in the frontline regions. 

Odesa oblast

The South Operational Command reports that on the evening of December 12, nine Shahed-131/136 UAVs were shot down by air defense forces over Odesa oblast. The debris from the downed drones damaged civilian and port infrastructure. One of the downed drones crashed onto the premises of a municipal car repair enterprise in Odesa, causing a fire that was promptly extinguished. Two employees suffered injuries and burns, and they were hospitalized. Their condition is reported to be satisfactory. A hangar was destroyed, and 11 civilian cars damaged, with three of them completely burned.

Odesa’s Art Museum will resume its operation on December 15 after being hit by a russian missile near its premises and undergoing restoration.

Kherson oblast

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 113 shelling attacks, firing 606 projectiles from mortars, artillery, Grads, tanks, UAVs, and aviation.The enemy launched 38 projectiles at the city of Kherson. 6 people were injured.

The police opened 22 war crimes committed by the russian military against the civilian population. The russian army continues shelling Beryslav and Kherson regions, targeting exclusively residential buildings, energy facilities, enterprises, educational and medical institutions. The enemy attacked Tiahynka with multiple rocket launchers.

The russian forces struck Stanislav, damaging a farm. Novodmytrivka, Dniprovske, Mykilske, and Ivanivka were also under fire. 

Russian forces shelled civilians in Kherson with heavy artillery and tanks from the left bank of the Dnipro River. Shells once again damaged a building of an educational institution and apartment buildings, some of which date back to the early 20th century, in the historic center of the city. At least 11 residential buildings were damaged in Antonivka due to the shelling.

The enemy continues to strengthen and fortify its positions in the area of responsibility of the Southern Defense Forces, deploying reserves to the frontline. The enemy makes observations, relentlessly uses artillery shelling, and makes use of drones. At the same time, there are no signs of offensive groups formed. The Defense Forces maintain their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, inflicting fire damage on the enemy.

The Proliska humanitarian mission organized the distribution of building materials and non-food kits in Bilozirka. Over 150 residents, whose homes were damaged by enemy shelling, received OSB sheets for repairing their homes. Volunteers also brought essential items such as blankets, pillows, bed linen, mattresses, dishes, solar-powered lamps, and more to two hundred residents. Proliska Kherson received another batch of assistance from the UNHCR, and 10K non-food items will be distributed among Kherson residents in the coming days.

Residents of Daryivka community received building materials from the International Organization for Migration (IOM). A humanitarian cargo with metal profile arrived in settlements and will be used to repair local residents’ homes. People will be able to partially restore their homes.

Thanks to the charitable foundation Skhid-SOS and Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, rescuers in Kherson received thermos pots, extensions, and network filters. This equipment will be used to improve conditions in Invincibility Centers.

24 children from Kherson oblast went on temporary relocation to Poland. These are children living in Bilozirka, Veletenske, Chornobaivka, Stanislav, Pryozerne, and Kherson. These areas are constantly shelled by occupiers, making it increasingly dangerous to stay. The Adzhalik Charitable Foundation organized this trip to allow them to rehabilitate and rest a little. The children will stay in a health resort for a month, with the consent of their parents.

The public organization Ukrainian PEN is collecting Ukrainian-language books to send them to Posad-Pokrovske, where libraries were destroyed.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

In two weeks, from November 27 to December 11, 45 IDPs arrived in the oblast in search of shelter. In total, 78 998 IDPs have arrived in Volyn since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

In the oblast, the air alert signal is not associated to the services of the Kyivstar operator. The air alert signal is working normally.

Almost UAH 2,6 mln from the budget of Uzhhorod will be allocated for the payment of one-time financial assistance and that for solving social and household issues to family members of killed Defenders of Ukraine. 

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Due to a large-scale failure in the work of the Kyivstar mobile operator, the notification systems are not working in three settlements of the region.

The RMA reported that the oblast sent 3 thermal imagers, an ambulance carriage and a camouflage net for it, totaling UAH 350K to the military.

Lviv oblast

Another 25 ambulances and evacuation vehicles were sent to the military. Help was provided by the Open Eyes CF. In total, there are already 175 fully equipped ambulance cars that went to the frontlines within the Drive for Life project.

Buska City Council sent a Dji Mavic 3T quadcopter to the soldiers of the first rifle company of the 64th battalion of the 103rd separate brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Funds for the purchase of the drone were collected by the community of Ukrainians from abroad.

The RMA reported that over UAH 10K were collected for defenders during the charity evening of Christmas traditions in the village of Soroky-Lvivski of Murovan community.

Vitalii Barabash, Head of Avdiivka Military Administration, awarded over 30 people with the For Services to the Community commemorative award. Oleh Kanivets, Head of Strii Community, received an honorary award.

In the photo, Karolina Naumyak, 2nd grade student of Drohobych Lyceum #4. She won the International project, My Ukraine – All Washed with Tears… . Defenders who lost limbs due to military operations were involved in the initiative. Joint photos with the defender brought Karolina a victory, thanks to which soldiers will receive prosthetics for free in one of the American clinics. With the support of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, all photos were posted on big boards in Drohobych and other cities of Ukraine.

Rivne oblast

The air alert system in Rivne oblast will work independently of the operation of mobile communications and the Internet. The malfunction of Kyivstar does not affect the operation of the air alert system.

Karen McTeer, Head of the NATO mission in Ukraine, is in Rivne oblast on a working trip. They discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, NATO programs and projects, as well as the needs of Rivne oblast during the war.

An official delegation led by Bohdan Munik, Head of the City Government of Piotrkow Tribunalsky, visited Rivne. The partners brought generators.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that the city sent 7 laptops, 6 case-organizer-backpacks , and 2 multifunctional Canon devices to military units.

The RMA held a meeting with Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine for European Integration and Serhii Martynchuk, Head of the Cisco representative office in Ukraine. They discussed the creation  of an immersive multifunctional hub.

The 1st immersive multifunctional hub in Ukraine was opened in Ternopil. It aims to increase the level of communication and socialization of different population segments, in particular vulnerable groups.

Ternopil City Council reported that at the request of commanders of military units, another 21 batteries were sent.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, during an air alert, in Khmelnytskyi district, the air defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized an attack UAV. There were no casualties, destruction or infrastructure damage.

In Khmelnytskyi, a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy and Nature Management was held. A 10-year plan was approved, which provides for the attraction of financial resources and takes into account all directions and issues of environmental improvement.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA presented awards to families of the fallen soldiers. These are border guards from Bukovyna, namely chief sergeant Dmytro Korbutiak, chief sergeant Serhii Mendryshora, senior soldier Andrii Boychuk, senior soldier Vadym Velhush, who were awarded with the 3rd degree Order of Courage by decree of the President of Ukraine.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Azerbaijan sent the 3rd batch of energy aid to Ukraine, including over 550 meters of electrical cables and 6 sets of transformer points. In general, the support agreement provides for four stages of shipment of goods, which should arrive in Ukraine by the end of January 2024.

The US president signed a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth $200 mln. It includes AIM-9M anti-aircraft missiles, components of the air defense system;, additional ammunition for HIMARS, 155 mm and 105 mm caliber artillery shells, high-speed anti-radiation missiles HARMs, TOW missiles, Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems, over 4 mln cartridges for small arms, explosive munitions for clearing obstacles, equipment for the protection of critical infrastructure, spare parts, generators and other equipment.

The GCS Swiss company announced the provision of 60 demining machines to Ukraine.

Jana Chernokhova, Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic, reported that the country issued licenses for the supply of €4,7 billion worth of military equipment to Ukraine.

The US introduced new anti-russian sanctions for aid to the russian military-industrial base. The list includes 250 companies, 23 people and three vessels.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, held a meeting in the US Senate. He told senators about the current security and economic situation in Ukraine, the importance of maintaining vital American support.

Rustem Umierov, Defense Minister of Ukraine, and Andris Spruds, Latvian Defense Minister, discussed the creation of a new drone coalition.

Another 5 Hungarian communities joined the appeal to Orban regarding negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU. These are such communities as Bativska, Velikoberezka, Velikobyyhanska, Vylotska and Kosonska.
