It has been the 659th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggresion. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 82 combat engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 4 missile strikes, 32 air strikes and 29 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian injuries. Private residential buildings as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes and no signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. They continue sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increase the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 20 settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Hremiach, Chernihiv oblast, Yizdetske, Popivka, Atynske, Sumy oblast, Vovchansk, Veterynarne, Hur’iv Kozachok, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 enemy attacks in the vicinity of Synkivka, Kharkiv oblast, where the enemy, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The invaders fired from artillery and mortar at around 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian defense forces repelled an attack east of Terny, Donetsk oblast. The invaders launched an airstrike in the area of Serebrianske forestry, Luhansk oblast. The occupiers fired from artillery and mortar at around 10 settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka, Serebrianske forestry, Luhansk oblast, Torske, Spirne, Verkhniokamianske, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Bakhmut, Ukrainian defenders repelled 7 attacks near Ivanivske, Klischiivka and Andriivka, Donetsk oblast. Around 10x settlements, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, New York, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Avdiivka, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 attacks in the area east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, and 17 attacks south of Sjeverne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske, Donetsk oblast. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15 settlements, including Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Karlivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Mariinka, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the vicinity of Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast, where the enemy, with air support, launched 11 failed attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders. The settlements of Krasnohorivka, Mariinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Donetsk oblast, were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Towards Shakhtarsk, they conducted no offensives. Around 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Urozhaine, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 9x enemy attacks south of Pryiutne, west and northwest of Verbove to Zaporizhzhia oblast. Over 20.settlements, including Poltavka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Mali Scherbaky, Zaporizhzhia oblast came under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, the enemy fired artillery at the settlement of Antonivka, Kherson oblast, the cities of Kherson and Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast. The invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Krynky settlement, Kherson oblast.

Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold their ground on the left bank of the Dnipro River, Kherson oblast and inflict fire on the enemy.

Ukrainian Air Forces launched 2 strikes on the buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment of the russian invaders.

The Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery hit 1 buildup of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.


Russia sentenced Mariupol defender Dmytro Shalar to life imprisonment. “Plus one sentence.  Today is for a lifetime.  To the defender of Mariupol – Marine Dmytro Shalar.  Again on a fabricated criminal case.  Once again – for a lifetime.  And … silence.  Let me remind you that we all owe an unrequited debt to the Defenders of Mariupol, who gave us 86 days so that the whole country would not fall,” Petro Andriischenko, advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, noted.

The failure of the “Kyivstar” network did not affect the operations of the Ukrainian military personnel.  They use a slightly different communication.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that about 16 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were under enemy artillery and mortar attacks: Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove of Kupiansk region, Budarky of Chuhuiv region and Vetarynarne of Kharkiv region.

At about 9 am, three private buildings and outbuildings were damaged as a result of shelling (type of weapon – Pion system) in Kupiansk.

Around 5 pm, Kupiansk suffered enemy shelling, 2 private buildings, a garage and a fence were damaged, no people were injured.

At around 9:20 pm, a private building and outbuildings were damaged as a result of the shelling.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 21 enemy attacks near Synkivka and two more attacks near Petropavlivka, Kupiansk region.

Pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service examined more than 3.6 hectares of territory in Kharkiv, Izium, Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk and Chuhuiv regions and defused 57 explosive devices.

The invaders are trying to block Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. Also russians have been actively storming Ukrainian positions in Kupianаsk region for several months, losing dozens of armoured vehicles and soldiers every day.

Donetsk oblast

According to the General Staff, Ukrainian troops repelled 84 russian attacks towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Marinka and Avdiivka on 13 December. Also russian troops did not advance towards Shakhtarsk.

The press service of Donetsk police reported that yesterday there were 8 artillery strikes against civilians. Avdiivka, Kurakhove cities, Ocheretyne settlement and Bohdanivka village were attacked. 4 civilian objects were damaged: 2 residential buildings and a railway track.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Donetsk, 1 person was injured. In Kurakhove community, 2 buildings in Veselyi Hai were damaged and the private sector of Kurakhove shelled.

Towards Horlivka, 3 buildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar community.

Towards Lysychansk, a building was damaged in Serebrianka of Siversk community. Lyman community was shelled 16 times.

The film 20 Days in Mariupol has been nominated for the Producers Guild of America Awards. The award ceremony will take place on 25 February 2024.

Andrii Kovalov, Spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, confirmed that representatives of russian Ministry of Internal Affairs working in the temporarily occupied Makiivka are re-registering the real estate of Ukrainians who have left the occupation or are accused by the invaders of collaborating with the Defence Forces. Last year, 18 russians received housing.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the enemy made an unsuccessful attack on Serebrianka forest yesterday. They attacked with mortars and artillery at the same area of the frontline. Nevske and Bilohorivka were also under enemy attacks.

In the settlements close to the front line, people have no way to buy anything, even if they have the money, unless they go some other places. Therefore, they rely only on humanitarian aid. Krasnorichensk Military Administration and volunteers are recording all the needs of the villagers. Yesterday hygiene, food kits, lanterns and crockery were delivered. The International Organisation for Migration and the Red Cross helped the residents of Makiivka and Hrekivka. In addition, a week’s supply of bread was delivered to Nevske, Makiivjka, Hrekivka and Novoliubivka. The delivery of these goods was conducted by Luhansk police officers.

There is no electricity in most areas of occupied Lysychansk. The city was occupied in the summer of 2022. Since then, only promises to repair something were heard. In December, the invaders made one attempt to power some buildings. It was unsuccessful because the transformer, they had hastily fixed, immediately burned down.

The National Resistance Centre reported that the invaders held a festival of “peoples of russia” in Luhansk, where they massively brought school students, convincing them that they were russians and that Ukrainians were a fictional nation.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The head of Kyiv RMA Ruslan Kravchenko said that as of 17:00, the air alert signal was announced 4 times in the oblast. As a result of the enemy’s missile attack, there were no casualties, no hits to civilian infrastructure objects and no falling debris from the downed targets were recorded.

Reconstruction work continues in the capital after the massive rocket attack on December 13. As reported by KCMA, in total, 53 people were injured as a result of falling debris, 20 of them were hospitalized. 17 people were rescued from damaged high-rise buildings, five of whom could not move on their own. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that more than 50 residents of the Dniprovskyi district sought psychological help after the russian missile attack.

“Kyivmiskbud” reported that destruction after the russian shelling on December 13 was discovered in three new buildings in the capital’s Desnyanskyi district. Debris from the downed rocket damaged several buildings of the “Urban park” residential complex, the developer is assessing the damage.

The State Emergency Service reported that due to damage to the water supply network caused by falling debris from enemy missiles on December 13, the basement of a building and an underground pedestrian crossing flooded in the Dniprovsyi district of Kyiv. 34 rescuers and five units of equipment worked on liquidation of the consequences.

Kyiv RMA reported that joint command and staff exercises on the prevention and liquidation of the consequences of emergency situations in the territory of Kyiv oblast took place in the Vyshhorod region. The interaction was practiced by representatives of the administration and civil defense forces of the oblast, territorial units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, the State Border Service, the National Guard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Reconstruction Service.

In the Bucha region, the Buziv Academic Lyceum, whose building was 80% damaged during hostilities in the spring of 2022, is being restored with the funds of the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

Gymnasium No. 1, the building of which was destroyed during military operations in the oblast, is fully operational in the Hostomel community in the village of Ozera. The premises of the preschool department were destroyed by 75%. Repair works to restore the premises were carried out both at the expense of the local budget and at the expense of public organizations and foundations.

The NGO “Officers’ League”, which provides practical training, reported that more than 11,000 students from 70 schools in the Kyiv oblast received mine safety knowledge. The training took as part of the project activities of the Democracy Promotion Fund of the US Embassy in Ukraine. The project is coordinated by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration and aims to cover 160 regional secondary education institutions during the next academic year.

On December 16 and 17, the Dovzhenko Center in the capital will host the premiere screenings of the play “Mary’s City: Siege Diaries.” This is a documentary project based on diaries and excerpts from interviews of the Grechkina sisters from Mariupol, who recorded everything they experienced. Zhytomyr oblast

The “Palai-Hab” rehabilitation center for veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war has been operating in Berdychev for several months. In it, military personnel can receive psychological and legal assistance, veterans are helped with collecting documents for the registration of a pension and with finding a job.

In Zhytomyr, teachers-organizers and group leaders of the City Cultural and Sports Center painted cartridges from the front lines, which are going to be sold at the Christmas fair in the Czech Republic. The proceeds from the sale will be used to purchase necessary items for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Sumy oblast

 At night and in the morning, the russians carried out 11 shellings of the border territories and settlements of the Sumy oblast. 32 explosions were recorded – mortar strikes, shelling from AGS and small arms. The communities of Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Svesa, Shalyhine, Znob-Novhorodske and Seredina-Buda were under enemy shelling.

Sumy RMA reported that during the past day, the russian military carried out 12 shelling of 7 border communities, a total of 68 explosions were recorded. Krasnopillia, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Khotyn, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Seredina-Buda communities came under shelling. The enemy attacked with mortars, artillery, and AGS, and also carried out a tank attack on the territory of the Seredina-Buda community. 

The State Emergency Service reported that on December 13, the border patrol discovered several members of the enemy saboteur group who were moving from the territory of the aggressor country. The fighters opened fire on the saboteurs, a shooting battle ensued. To strengthen the direction, the reserves of the units of the SBGS and the Defense Forces advanced to the spot, and artillery and mortar teams were brought in. As a result of the battle, the occupiers retreated, the enemy’s losses are being verified.

The head of Sumy RMA Volodymyr Artyukh announced that Sumy Regional Military Administration and the Danish Refugee Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding. 

Chernihiv oblast

The SBGS reported that during the past 24 hours, russian troops have carried out 13 strikes on the border of Chernihiv oblast. Two communities were under enemy shelling: Novhorod-Siverskyi – 4 mortar hits, Semenivka – 9 mortar hits.

The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev said that lines and positions of the first and second line of defense are being equipped in the most dangerous areas in the Chernihiv oblast. According to him, in general, the situation in the oblast and in the entire Northern operational zone is stable and under control.

Police officers evacuated a large family from the shelled border village in Chernihiv oblast. The family lived two kilometers from the russian border and survived under daily shelling by the invaders. Precinct officers of the Semenivka division helped to move a mother with six young children aged 2 months to 11 years and their pets to a safe place.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council announced that during the day military of Air Command East shot down a missile over Dnipro district of the region.

In Dnipro on Naberezhna Peremohy Street, 118, reconstruction of a residential building damaged by a russian missile strike on January 14 has begun.

Two entrances thus 72 apartments are to be dismantled. Residents of apartments living next to emergency parts of the entrance will be evicted. The city government will compensate for housing rent.

Vinnytsia oblast

Vinnytsia City Council reports that another batch of aid was sent from Vinnytsia to the front for the National Guard military unit where Vinnytsia residents serve. It is known that in this program there are 26 dumplings and delicacies cooked by residents of all Vinnytsia region communities.

Animal therapy courses are held at the Vinnytsia Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital named after Yushchenko. Due to this type of rehabilitation defenders are helped to overcome stress. The comprehensive course program is compiled by psychologists.

Kirovohrad oblast

The In(visible) Stories photo project was presented in the Chyzhevskyi library in Krypnytsia. These are the stories of people in the photos who survived captivity, occupation, suffered sexual violence or were forced to leave their homes due to shelling by the russian army. The photos show things that the heroes of the project were able to take with them during the evacuation: keys to an apartment in Berdyansk, a book from the Mariupol library, a blue and yellow ribbon with which a person escaped capture, a bag.

Poltava oblast

Poltava community schools received completed backpacks and training kits from UNICEF. The community received 200 school boxes (School in a box) with accessories that will be used by middle and high school students during lessons. One box is designed for 40 children.

Cherkasy oblast

Press Service of the Social Policy Department reported that in Cherkasy the thuja alley on Shevchenko Boulevard is decorated with named New Year’s decorations in honor of fallen soldiers. Thus on Christmas and New Year, relatives will honor the memory of heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine. The alley was planted by the relatives of the fallen soldiers on the day of the commemorative stele opening with the names of the Heroes. The department mentioned that according to the families’ plan, there should eventually be a memorial park there.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled russian attacks in the Tavria Joint Forces Operation Area on December 13. The russian army carried out four air strikes, engaged in 82 combat engagements and fired 934 artillery rounds.

Zaporizhzhia National Police reported that towards Zaporizhzhia, a battalion of the special police patrol service “Skif” destroyed russian army military equipment and injured four russian soldiers during an assault using FPV drones.

The russian army struck 151 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia  oblast over the past day. They attacked Pavlivske, Gulyaypole, Zaliznychne, Novodarivka, Novodanilivka, Chervarne, Chervone, Malynivka, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne and Robotyno. They shelled Novoandriivka, Preobrazhenka, Poltavka, Levadne, Bilohirya, Gulyaypole, Robotyne, Kamianske, Stepove, Pyatikhatky, Plavni with artillery 108 times.

The occupiers plan to “nationalise” all housing in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. Even those apartments and houses where relatives of homeowners live. If there are parents who live in the children’s apartment, or vice versa, if there is no person in whose name the documents are issued, the russians expel such residents from the apartments and do not allow them to be registered in the new register.

Ivan Fedorov, Mayor of Melitopol, said that in order to leave the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast, in 90% of cases, a russian passport is required, and in some cases, a foreign passport. It is also necessary to pay at least $500 and pass about 30 checkpoints. 

Mykolaiv oblast

Vitaliy Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that on the night of  December 14, five russian Shahed-131/136 drones were shot down in Mykolaiv oblast. The russian military also attacked the Ochakiv, Kutsurub and Snihurivka communities. The consequences of the damage are being investigated. There were no casualties.

On 14 December, a roundtable was held to discuss prioritisation in mine action and the draft national strategy. The roundtable was held as part of a project aimed at supporting environmental rehabilitation with a focus on developing Ukraine’s national mine action capacity. As part of this project, the OSCE is assisting in the development of a humanitarian demining system, helping to strengthen the capacity of relevant agencies to clear contaminated areas. The issues of mine contamination, clearance methods and priorities in mine action were discussed. In addition, the priorities of the humanitarian demining action plan for the five de-occupied territories for 2024, including Mykolaiv oblast, were presented.

A New Year’s event for low-income families and IDPs was held in Mykolaiv. The event consisted of two parts: masterclasses for children and a concert. The organisers say they will continue to hold similar events in the future.

The 19th Mykolaiv Regiment of Public Order Protection of the National Guard of Ukraine reported on December 14 that Emma, a shepherd dog from the 19th Mykolaiv Regiment of the National Guard, was awarded the medal “For Devoted Service”. This is the second award for the dog, who searches for explosives and weapons and helps the military to serve at checkpoints. 

Odesa oblast

Armed Forces of South said that on the night of  December 14, the Air Armed Forces shot down 32 drones over Odesa oblast. In Odesa, the debris from the downed drones used by russian troops to attack the region damaged a dormitory, dozens of houses and cars. Eleven Odesa residents were injured, including four children. Five people were hospitalised. The russian army used 39 Shahed 131/136 UAVs. The enemy launched the drones from the temporarily occupied Crimea and Prymorsko-Akhtarsk. The attack took place in three waves: first to Odesa, then to Mykolaiv oblast, and then to the Danube.

Romanian Ministry of Defence (MApN) reported that during another russian attack on Ukrainian port infrastructure on the Danube, on December 13 and 14, a downed russian drone crashed into Romanian territory. The drone left a 1.5-metre-deep crater near the village of Grindu, which is located about 8 kilometres from the Ukrainian port of Reni. The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the russian ambassador to Bucharest, Valery Kuzmin, in connection with the incident. 

Kherson oblast

On the night of  December 14, the russian army shelled the village of Myroliubivka in Kherson oblast. A woman died under the rubble of a house.

At night, in the morning and in the afternoon on December 14, the Russian army attacked Kherson and its suburbs twice. Fires broke out in an apartment building and a business centre.  Two women and a man were injured. This was reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

In the afternoon, the Russian army hit an apartment building in Antonovka. A 79-year-old woman was wounded. She was hospitalised. 

Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of Armed Forces of South, reported that on the left bank of the Kherson oblast, Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a large-calibre cannon, a mortar, a radar station of the russian army and killed 11 russian servicemen. 

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that on December 13, russian troops fired 536 shells at Kherson region. They hit residential areas of the region’s settlements, medical and educational institutions, a critical infrastructure facility in Kherson region and a business centre in Kherson. One person was killed and another injured. 

Five children were returned from the TOT of Kherson region to the territory controlled by Ukraine. Two of them were taken with their parents. Three more are children in difficult life circumstances. All of them are currently in a safe place and are receiving assistance.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council presented Sergeant Oleksii Filimonov with the 3th degree Order of Courage. And they also handed over the thanks of military unit A0998 to the family members of servicemen Vadym Pylypiuk and Yurii Novosad. Thanks came to the city council from the leadership of the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo.

Zakarpattia oblast

Uzhhorod City Council held a meeting on the issue of registration and conscription of conscripts during mobilization. In order to improve the work of registering citizens of Ukraine to the notification station, they decided to strengthen campaigning and explanatory work among schoolchildren of the city and with the parents of young people.

The Department of Social Policy of Uzhhorod City Council received a set of equipment, including 3 laptops, multifunctional devices, routers, uninterruptible power supplies, and office supplies, total worth UAH 184,8K thanks to Stabilization Support Services CF.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The Invictus Games were held in Prykarpattia. The event gathered several dozen Ukrainian defenders who were injured during the hostilities. The goal of the competition is to support servicemen and veterans on the way to physical recovery, psychological rehabilitation and social integration, forming a positive outlook and motivating them to engage in sports and personal growth.

Lviv oblast

Almost UAH 1,9 billion of military levies were paid to the State Budget by taxpayers of Lviv oblast. This is over 10% more compared to January-November 2022.

Pustomyty community purchased 8 DJL Mavic-3 Thermal quadcopters for the needs of the military. UAH 1,6 mln was allocated for this from the local budget. In the Children’s Universe kindergarten of Zimnovodovsk community, during the Andriiivski Vechornytsia charity event, over UAH 25K were collected for the defenders. Horodotsk Central Hospital sent an ambulance to one of the units of the Defense Forces. In the village of Lyubyn of Yavoriv community, over UAH 20K were collected to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the Meeting with the Christmas Carol charity evening and the fair.

In Sambor, the Alley of Memory of the Defenders of Ukraine was opened with information stands about 66 Heroes from Sambir community who were killed for the state in the fight against the enemy. Its creation was organized by the city authorities and families of fallen servicemen.

Defenders Marian Ivakin and Ivan Yavorovskyi were posthumously awarded the 3th degree For Courage Order. Marian Ivakin was killed on November 7, 2022, near Bilohorivka in Donetsk oblast. Ivan Yavorovskyi was killed on April 1, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Stupochka, Donetsk oblast.

A Safety Classroom has started working in Zolochiv region. The space was divided into several zones, namely, mine safety, fire safety, first aid, life safety, and psychological relief.

Representatives of the Interdepartmental Working Group at Lviv RMA conducted explanatory work regarding the ban on the use of russian-language cultural products among administrative staff and employees of health care institutions of various types in Lviv.

Rivne oblast

Training on anti-corruption legislation took place in the RMA. Those present received methodical recommendations and explanations regarding the prevention and settlement of conflicts of interest, compliance with restrictions on the prevention of corruption and financial control measures.

Horodotsk community sent a Toyota Hilux SUV car for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine thanks to club institutions, community educational institutions, the Sports and Physical Health Center of Horodotsk Village Council, and employees of the village council.

Ternopil oblast

Fighters of the 67th separate mechanized brigades fighting in hot spots were given 50 FPV attack drones thanks to the regional budget.

Ternopil sent 3 DJI Mavic 3 Pro quadcopters and 2 Avenge remote antennas totaling UAH 478 438 to the special unit of the Armed Forces.

Ternopil City Council reported that at the request of the commander of the military unit established at Ternopil base, a Volkswagen VW car, manufactured in 2000, and 6 DJI Mavis 3T quadcopters (the total cost of the quadcopters are UAH 1,47 mln) were sent to the defenders.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

10 DJI MAVIC 3T Thermal quadcopters with a thermal imager worth over UAH 2 mln were sent to the military from Khmelnytskyi thanks to the city budget.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi City Council has additionally allocated UAH 150 mln to support the Armed Forces in 2024. Over UAH 250 mln per year have been provided for expenses related to the war in the community budget for 2024.

The RMA reported that the oblast sent a car to the military unit of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Hanno Pevkur, Minister of Defense, announced that Estonia will provide Ukraine with a military aid package, included, not only a large number of Javelin anti-tank missiles, but also machine guns, small arms ammunition, boats, land vehicles, and diving equipment, total worth EUR 80 mln.

Deputies of the European Parliament call on the European Council to adopt a decision on the opening of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU at its meeting on December 14-15. A resolution was adopted, which was approved by 468 votes “Yes” and 9 against.
