It has been the 537th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

Russian troops carried out another missile and aviation strike on the territory of Ukraine. The russian army used 8 Kalibr missiles and 15 Iranian combat drones, Shahed-136/131, in Odesa oblast. As a result of successful actions by our anti-air defense forces, all Kalibr missiles and UAVs were destroyed.

Overall, the russian army launched 12 missile and 67 aviation strikes, conducting over 40 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian military and civilian settlements. Due to the russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings, a shopping center, a student dormitory, preschools, schools, and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.

Ukraine is still under the threat of missile and aviation strikes. Throughout the day, 11 military clashes took place.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, the operational situation did not change.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army carried out an aviation strike in the area of Stepne, Sumy oblast. They conducted mortar and artillery shelling on over 25 settlements, including Bleshnya, Khotiivka, Tymonovychi in Chernihiv oblast; Atynske, Stepne, Vodolagy in Sumy oblast, and Udy, Strilecha, Lukyantsi in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, russian troops launched aviation strikes in the areas of Ivanivka, Zaghryzove in Kharkiv oblast, and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk oblast. The russian army shelled over 15 settlements from artillery and mortar, including Novomlynsk, Vilshana, Synkivka, Kupyansk, Podoly, Bugaivka in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Lyman, the russian army carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Bilohorivka in Luhansk oblast and Spirne in Donetsk oblast. Over 25 settlements, including Nevske, Dibrova, Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast, and Siversk, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne in Donetsk oblast, were shelled from russian artillery.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian army launched aviation strikes in the areas of Vasiukivka and Klischiivka in Donetsk oblast. Over 25 settlements suffered from hostile artillery shelling, including Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Klischiivka in Donetsk oblast.

Towards Avdiivka, the russian army carried out an aviation strike towards Avdiivka. Settlements such as Oleksandripol, Keramik, Novokalynove, Stepove, and Avdiivka in Donetsk oblast were shelled from artillery.

Towards Mariinka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to restrain the advance of russian troops in the areas of Mariinka and Krasnohorivka in Donetsk oblast. The russian army launched aviation strikes in the areas of Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk oblast. More than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Heorgiivka, Hostre, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka in Donetsk oblast, were shelled from artillery.

Towards Shakhtarsk, russian troops launched aviation strikes in the areas of Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, Makarivka, and Urozhaine in Donetsk oblast. Over 10 settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Urozhaine, Staromayorske in Donetsk oblast, were shelled from artillery. 

Towards Zaporizhzhia, the russian army carried out an aviation strike in the area of Novodanylivka in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Over 20 settlements, including Charivne, Novoandriivka, Shcherbaky, Pavlivka, Piatykhatky, Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia oblast, were shelled from artillery.

Towards Kherson, russian soldiers launched an aviation strike in the area of Olhivka in Kherson oblast. Over 20 settlements, including Zolota Balka, Mykhailivka, Havrylivka, Respublikanets, Nowokajiry, Komyshany in Kherson oblast, and the city of Kherson, were shelled from russian artillery.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive operation towards Melitopol and Berdyansk. They are consolidating their positions at the achieved frontlines and conducting counter-battery measures.

Moscow regime continues its illegal integration of temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories into its socio-political sphere. In the settlement of Svatove in Luhansk oblast, russian troops demand that representatives of local administration and village councils voluntarily resign from their positions to change the leadership in local self-government bodies. They plan to create so-called “municipalities,” run by local collaborators based on the results of pseudo-elections in the captured territories on the same voting day in russia on September 10.

The aviation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out 1 strike on a command post, 7 strikes on russian manpower concentration areas, armament, and military equipment storage areas, and 3 strikes on russian anti-aircraft missile systems.

Additionally, Ukrainian troops successfully destroyed russian attack helicopter Ka-52.

According to the “Children of the War” platform, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, russia has killed 502 children. More than 1,097 children were received injuries of various degrees of severity.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The Ukrainian military “significantly destroyed” russian forces towards Lyman and Kupiansk, which led to a decrease in the number of attacks. Also, russians are currently bringing in new soldiers and equipment.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that hostilities continue towards Kupiansk. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding their positions and destroying russian manpower and equipment. The enemy is making no progress.

Yesterday, the enemy fired at the border and frontline communities of Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuhuiv and Kupiansk regions. Specifically, Okip, Ohirtseve, Budarky, Vovchansk, Kamianka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Berestove and Kyslivka and other settlements were under enemy attack.

In Kucherivka village, Kupiansk region, a 51-year-old civilian man was injured as a result of hostile shelling. He was hospitalised in critical condition.

A 68-year-old woman was injured and hospitalised in Petropavlivka village, Kupiansk region, as a result of hostile shelling.

In Lukiantsi village, Kharkiv region, an educational institution and a 2-storey residential building were damaged.

Kharkiv State Emergency Service informed that a 73-year-old man stepped on a Butterfly anti-personnel mine on the territory of a garden association in Ruska Lozova village, Kharkiv region, at around 12 am. He was hospitalised with an explosive wound, his foot was blown off.

According to the regional rescue department, demining tractor exploded in Yavirske village, Izium region. The equipment was remotely controlled so there were no casualties.

Press service of Kharkiv State Emergency Service reported that while extinguishing a fire that occurred as a result of shelling Kurylivka, Kupiansk region, around 11:45 pm, russians started shelling again. The rescuers only managed to localise the fire, which spread over 250 square metres, and were forced to return to their permanent location.

Maksym Strelnyk, Deputy Head of Izium City Military Administration, said that a 42-year-old resident sustained light injuries as a result of russian strike on the city on the night of August 14 and doctors already sent him home. According to him, more than 10 buildings in Izium were damaged and the exact extent of destruction is being established. One aircraft was shot down over the city. Debris fell and damaged households.

Oleh Horiainov, Chief Engineer of Richland Invest enterprise, stated that their employees in Shevelivka near Balakliia are clearing fields with a remote-controlled tractor. While clearing the area, they removed the fragments of Uragan, Grad, S-300 and cluster munitions. The workers bring all the shell fragments they find in the field to the machine shop, they want to make their own museum out of them.

Donetsk oblast

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, on August 13, russians injured two civilians in Toretsk and Siversk.

Towards Volnovakha, 4 buildings were damaged in Bohoiavlenka. Vuhledar was targeted.

Towards Donetsk, two missiles hit a utility company in Avdiivka in the morning. 1 person was injured in Lastochkyne of Ocheretyne community. The outskirts of Kurakhove community were under attack.

Towards Horlivka, 2 industrial buildings and a private building were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. A building and an infrastructure facility were damaged in Toretsk. In Soledar community, Vasiukivka and Rozdolivka were shelled.

Towards Horlivka, 2 buildings in Siversk were destroyed and there were 8 attacks on Lyman community.

The Air Forces of Ukraine reported that at 5 am on 14 August Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners shot down a russian helicopter towards Bakhmut of the frontline.

Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence, informed that the defence forces liberated three square kilometres towards Bakhmut over the past week.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the invaders tried to advance in Svatove region, attacking Andriivka. However, these attempts were repelled by the Defence Forces. The enemy is not reducing its air attacks either, yesterday they attacked Bilohorivka. In addition, our section of the frontline suffers the most from artillery shelling by the invaders, who fire 400-600 shells a day. Dibrova and Bilohorivka were under attack again.

The occupation administration of Sievierodonetsk has started raids to identify citizens who carry out business activities without registration with the relevant authorities of russian federation. In addition, the invaders have started stocktaking garages throughout the region. They are informing the owners that they must urgently re-register their ownership, otherwise these properties will be demolished or expropriated.

In the cities occupied last year, garbage has not been removed from neighbourhoods for months. Settlements are turning into landfills. The so-called ‘government of the Luhansk People’s Republic’ explains that containers and garbage trucks can only be obtained from a single supplier, russian environmental operator. A third of the containers and equipment are promised by the end of the year while the rest is “in the near future”.

Sievierodonetsk region is the most heavily damaged by russians. Roman Vlasenko, Head of Sievierodonetsk Regional Military Administration, said that the invaders are restoring dozens of the most surviving buildings and one school (against the significant destruction the invaders caused in the city last year) for a small amount of money to show off for russian media. Schools are waiting for history textbooks, the content of which has been rewritten by russians to reflect the events of recent years. The invaders are gathering student groups to clear the rubble. Most Sievierodonetsk residents do not have access to centralised water supply. Before the so-called “first elections”, the ruling party is being filled with local state employees.

Luhansk RMA reported that there are 34 humanitarian hubs for Luhansk IDPs in 18 regions of Ukraine, where people receive the necessary support. There are 185K registered IDPs from Luhansk oblast and about 50K more have gone abroad.

Residents of the occupied settlements located 50 km from the front line use public utilities more or less regularly. Closer to the line, russians are not restoring much of anything.

The establishment of local military administrations has allowed for faster decision-making. These structures are preparing for the de-occupation of their own communities.

Polish partners have provided an ambulance filled with equipment that will help save patients’ lives to Starobilsk Primary Healthcare Centre. The parties agreed on the transfer of specialised vehicles back on July 14, when a meeting in Lviv with a delegation from Lublin Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland: Jarosław Stawiarski, Voivodeship Marshal  and Zbigniew Wojciechowski, Vice Marshal.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Christian Lindner, Minister of Finance of Germany, has arrived in Kyiv, his first visit to Ukrainian capital since the start of the full-scale war. As Lindner stated at the beginning of his visit, he intends to discuss specific steps to support Ukraine.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported that in Irpin, a complex renovation program is ongoing to restore private buildings opposite Irpinski Lypky residential complex. It includes major repairs to more than 30 properties, most of which are in the final stages of repair. Another 30 buildings will be rebuilt from scratch and the work has already started.

On Sunday, a regular self-defence training for women was held in Kyiv by Ukrainian Women’s Guard NGO. During the three-hour training, two groups of women listened to the theory and trained their practical skills. The coach of the course is Sensei Viktor Kraievskyi, Chief Instructor of YASEN combat training school and Ukrainian Military Guard, founder and head of the School of Martial Arts, and head of German Judo Union in Ukraine.

Bucha School of Arts, whose premises were destroyed by russians, was rebuilt by philanthropists, two German organisations and a Ukrainian charity foundation. UAH 10 MLN was allocated to restore the school. The school’s premises were renovated, an inclusive space for children created and new musical instruments and equipment purchased.

City Council reported that Buchanska Sotka bicycle ride raised UAH 20K for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than 100 participants gathered to get incredible emotions and support the defenders. The funds will go to help the Marine Corps sappers of Valentyn Lutsyshyn.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr received buses from Germany as a gift. Dortmund sent 5 MAN vehicles. The buses are to be in service by the start of the new school year.

Zhytomyr City Council reported that the third simplest module shelter is being installed in the city. The building, which can accommodate 50 people, is located near a public park and will help residents of other districts or city guests quickly find shelter in times of emergency.  

A 103-year-old woman from Zhytomyr oblast makes camouflage nets for the frontline. Liubov Yarosh, a resident of Khodorkiv village, survived Holodomor and World War II and is now actively involved in volunteering. Together with her daughters, Liubov makes two kikimoras a week sent to the defenders of Ukraine.

Sumy oblast

According to the Sumy Regional State Administration, on August 13, the Russians fired 21 times at the border, with a total of 144 artillery and mortar attacks recorded. Velyka Pysarivka, Krasnopillia, Khotyn, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, Nova Sloboda, Znob-Novhorod, Bilopillia and Shalyhyne communities were shelled. Private houses, an apartment building, a garage, and a power line were damaged.

Sumy RMA reported that in the morning the enemy carried out 2 mortar attacks on the border. There were 16 explosions. Krasnopillia and Khotyn communities were attacked.

Over the past month, 900 Ukrainians, including 71 children, have used the Sumy-Kyiv evacuation train, which started running on 15 July. The train is free of charge for residents of the occupied territories of Ukraine who are forced to travel to russia and return to Ukraine across the border. These are mainly residents of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts.

Sumy artist and public figure Dmytro Buival was killed in the fighting near Kupiansk. Dmytro was the founder of the ‘Voice of the Streets’ NGO, a creative workshop, and the organiser of the Kharytonenko Fest street art festival. In Sumy, he was known as a “living sculpture”, a mime, and a fire artist.

Chernihiv oblast

North Operational Command reported that yesterday russian troops attacked 5 settlements in 3 territorial communities, there were 228 explosions in Chernihiv oblast. There were 3 mortar attacks in Novhorod-Siverskyi region. In Semenivka region, there were 122 preliminary mortar attacks and 3 more, probably from cannon artillery. Another 10 enemy mines exploded in Snovsk.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, said that during the week, the invaders shelled 19 settlements, launching 401 attacks on their territories. Also russians conducted two air raids with unguided missiles. As a result of the shelling, civilian infrastructure was damaged, including a residential building and a power line.

13 IDP families will receive accommodation in Nova Basan community. The project was initiated by activists of the Raion No. 1 foundation and Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe international organisation. The families are waiting for 13 frame houses built on the same street and equipped with everything they need. Accommodation will be provided on a competitive basis and the residents will also receive jobs from the community.

Pryluky City Council reported that equipment for rehabilitation services has been delivered to Pryluky Central Hospital. The assistance was provided by the United Nations Development Programme with financial support from the Canadian government. The hospital received a physiotherapy complex, lifts and a verticaliser and the value of the humanitarian aid is UAH 347K.

A marathon was held in Mena in honour of the fallen defender Vitalii Horbach. Residents of Mena community and citizens from other cities joined the event dedicated to the memory of Vitalii and all the fallen heroes of Ukraine. The young participants covered a distance of 2 km.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

According to Head of the regional council Mykola Lukashuk, the enemy attacked Nikopol again. They shelled the city with artillery.  

More than eight thousand people have been accommodated by the shelter for IDPs from Luhansk oblast in Dnipro during the year of its existence. Currently, 150 internally displaced people live there. 24 of them are children.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​Vinnytsia City Council reported that Vinnytsia received another humanitarian aid shipment from the partner city of Munster. The city received a minibus, generators, and a set of tools.

Kirovohrad oblast

Regional police reported that two specialists of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Service have returned from a mission where they were part of a combined unit for two months to clear the territory of Kherson oblast. 

Poltava oblast

A City Picnic was held in Poltava at the weekend. During the event, volunteers raised funds for a drone for Kharkiv rescuers. It included a craft fair, a graffiti zone, and other entertainment. The drone cost UAH 110,000. According to the organisers, the event raised more than 140,000 hryvnias.

According to Dmytro Lunin, Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, the fifth group of utility workers has left Poltava oblast for Kherson oblast. 36 workers of various specialities will change the previous team and help clear private households and apartments in high-rise buildings before the start of the heating season.

Cherkasy oblast

Talne community in Cherkasy oblast joins the reconstruction programme of the Kherson oblast within the framework of the President’s initiative “Side by Side”. The mayor of the Talne community met with the head of the Vysokopillia settlement military administration, Hanna Shostak-Kuchmiak, and representatives of the International Humanitarian Hub charitable foundation. They inspected the damaged infrastructure and discussed ways and mechanisms for restoration.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

During the night, the enemy once again shelled residential areas in Zaporizhzhia oblast using the S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. As a result of the shelling of the village of Stepove, two residential houses were completely destroyed, two houses were damaged, and windows and panes were shattered in neighboring buildings. Two people were killed, and another woman in critical condition was taken to a medical facility. Three individuals were rescued.

Yesterday, the enemy launched 99 strikes on 24 populated areas in Zaporizhzhia oblast. 7 enemy UAVs attacked Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Chervone, Charivne, Novodarivka, and Mali Shcherbaky. 5 strikes with MLRS hit Novodarivka, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, and Pavlivka. 3 rocket strikes were aimed at Stepne, along with an aerial strike on Piatyhatky. Also, russian military forces carried out 83 artillery shelling strikes on the territories of Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novoandriivka, Orikhove, Novodarivka, Malynivka, Levadne, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Chervone, Olhivske, Verkhnia Tersa, Bilohiria, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, Piatyhatky, Lobkove, Stepove, and Plavni. Due to a rocket strike on Stepne, a 77-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman were killed. Another 64-year-old woman was transported to a medical institution and is receiving necessary assistance. 15 reports were received about the destruction of residential houses and infrastructure facilities.

Mykolaiv oblast

On August 13, russian forces shelled the waters of Ochakiv community, Ochakiv itself, and the territory near the settlement of Shevchenkivska community with artillery fire. Additionally, during the night of August 14, the waters of the Ochakiv community were again under fire. There have been no reported injuries or fatalities. 

Training for candidates for the position of assistant to veterans began today in Mykolaiv. Mykolaiv oblast is the first region to initiate training in this field. The training program is designed for three weeks and will take place at Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University. The courses will be taught by both university scholars and specialists from official structures involved in veteran support. After completing the training, candidates will take an exam, followed by official employment opportunities.

Odesa oblast

During the night of August 14, russia launched three attacks on Odesa oblast. A total of 15 drones and 8 “Kalibr” missiles were fired. Due to the enemy attack, a hypermarket was completely destroyed, and seven educational institutions were damaged: six in the Prymorsky district and one in the Khadzybei district, including an architectural monument. Additionally, over 200 buildings were damaged in Odesa due to falling debris and explosive shockwaves, and parked cars were damaged. As reported by Odesa RMA, three people were injured as result of the shelling; two of them are already at home.

As of 11:00, it is known about damage to 213 buildings in the Prymorsky and Khadzhybei districts. A total of 1481 windows have been destroyed. According to the city’s administration, points for distributing window-sealing film have been set up in Odesa. Windows are covered by housing and utility services workers and property management companies in public places, while in residents’ homes, it’s being done upon citizens’ request.

In Odes, a shop where IDPs families can shop without money started operating on August 1. This establishment is called “plichoplich-shop” (shoulder-to-shoulder shop) and is the first charitable shop of its kind in Ukraine, with similar concepts existing only in 2 countries worldwide. Currently, only those who were correctly registered according to the “Plich-o-plich” Charitable Foundation’s form can become clients. Currently, there are 1800 registered people.

The number of vessels in the “Izmail” port (Odesa oblast) has increased to 111 on Monday, according to the Marine Traffic military maritime movement monitoring application, compared to 48 the previous week. An additional 33 vessels are expected to arrive. The number of vessels in the “Ren” port on Monday increased to 33 vessels from 12 the previous week. An additional 11 vessels are expected to arrive. The ports of Odesa have not resumed operation after the cessation of the “grain initiative.”

Kherson oblast

Mourning has been declared for civilians who lost their lives due to the russian shelling today in Kherson oblast. Just in the past two days, russian aggression claimed the lives of an entire family with two children, a pastor, injured police officers, and damaged critical infrastructure objects. The enemy attacked peaceful people using MLRS, artillery, mortars, aviation, and UAVs.

During the night, the russian army struck residential areas of Kherson. Two men, aged 48 and 44, sustained serious injuries, and an 85-year-old woman suffered moderate injuries. All the injured have been hospitalized.

Yesterday, the enemy carried out 83 shelling incidents, firing 399 projectiles from mortars, artillery, “Grad” rockets, UAVs, ground-launched cruise missiles, and aviation. Bilozerka and Odradokamianka were subjected to aerial strikes, damaging at least 16 houses of peaceful residents. Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, and Ponyativka were under devastating shelling. It is reported that russian forces dropped ammunition from drones onto police officers and official vehicles in Beryslav and Nadezhdivka. The enemy also targeted rescuers in Bilozerka who were extinguishing fires caused by the shelling. A house, an outbuilding, and a car caught fire in Novokairy due to artillery shelling. The enemy shelled the city of Kherson 23 times, damaging residential and administrative buildings as well as critical infrastructure objects. Due to russian aggression, seven people were killed, including two children, and 13 individuals were wounded.

During the past day, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service sappers neutralized 35 explosive objects in the liberated territories of Kherson oblast. A total of 4,709 hectares of land and 3,042 km of power lines were surveyed. According to the Kherson RMA, overall, sappers examined 70,703.3 hectares of liberated land in Kherson oblast, including 60,221.1 hectares of agricultural land.

According to the “South” Operational Command, defense forces eliminated 39 occuppiers, 7 howitzers, and 6 mortars, as well as 11 units of armored vehicles, a boat, a communication station, and 2 field supply points.

The “Project HOPE” organization delivered humanitarian aid to dozens of medical facilities in the region. Specifically, 28 hospitals and 13 clinics received heaters, while 14 hospitals received sets of bedding. A total of 1,500 such sets were provided. The organization continues to deliver drinking water. Last week, 10 trucks transported over 20K liters of bottled water to communities. Additionally, residents of Chornobaivka community and Komyshany received thermal clothing.

Mobile clinic doctors will work in the Beryslav region this week. Over five days, specialized doctors will provide medical consultations to residents of 14 settlements in the Beryslav region. Local residents will have the opportunity to see a therapist, psychologist, paramedic, and gynecologist. Volyn oblast

The Multi-sectoral Humanitarian Aid for IDPs, Returnees, Veterans and Their Host Communities in Ukraine international project is being implemented in Volyn oblast thanks to the European Forum of People with Disabilities. The project starts on September 1, 2023 and will last until January 31, 2024.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Meat Industry Association. Support for family farming for veterans and their family members is being strengthened in Zakarpattia.

An Emilia charity concert of the string quartet was held in Uzhhorod. The collected over UAH 6,5K will be donated to the Zakarpattia Military Support Movement NGO for the purchase of 68 drones for the 68th battalion of the 101st Zakarpattia Territorial Defense Brigade.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Children from families of defenders and fallen Heroes, together as guardians, went on a week-long vacation to the Lithuanian city of Trakai. This will be the last trip of the season. During this summer, the children of defenders of Ukraine visited Rybnik twice, once in Okhotsk (Poland), also visited Hungarian Niredgaz and currently went to Trakai (Lithuania).

Lviv oblast

There are 1 682 boiler houses in Lviv oblast. As  August 9, 1 026 of them were already ready for the new heating season. Lviv oblast has until October 1 to fully prepare for the new heating season.

Rivne oblast

In the conditions of russian aggression, there remains a great threat of emergency shutdowns of critical infrastructure facilities. For this purpose, Rivne oblast continues to prepare for various situations during the heating season, including emergency and emergency situations. This was discussed during a meeting in Rivne RMA.

Lieutenant General Serhii Naev, Commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, visited Rivne nuclear power plant, which is an important facility of Ukraine’s critical energy system. After visiting the NPP, he noted that the situation is stable, the radiation background is normal.

9 children with their parents-educators went to the Artek Bukovel camp (Carpathians) for rest and recovery. Children of a family-type home that was evacuated from Zaporizhzhia oblast and has been in Rivne oblast for over a year.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil oblast received 8 school buses before the start of the new school year. When the war began, the oblast allocated several dozen motor vehicles for the evacuation of the population from the occupied territories.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi oblast continues the restoration of Kherson oblast. Currently, it has been determined that the cost of ongoing repair work for 257 households at 28 facilities is UAH 93,4 mln. 136 employees from 11 enterprises of Khmelnytskyi oblast work daily at 22 facilities.

Chernivtsi oblast

The Multi-sectoral Humanitarian Aid for IDPs, Returnees, Veterans and Their Host Communities in Ukraine international project is being implemented in Bukovina thanks to the European Forum of People with Disabilities. The project starts on September 1, 2023 and will last until January 31, 2024.

In Bukovyna, a holiday in nature was organized for military personnel undergoing rehabilitation at Vashkivetks medical institution. Military servicemen, in particular, were engaged in fishing, feeding nutria and wild ducks.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The US will allocate additional military aid, including ammunition for air defense, artillery, anti-tank weapons and equipment for demining to Ukraine in the amount of $200 mln.

The Norwegian government reported that Ukraine will receive systems for countering CORTEX Typhon C-UAS drones worth $71 mln from the country.

6K Ukrainian soldiers have already been trained in France. By the end of 2023, even more Ukrainian defenders will complete their training in France.

Christian Lindner, German Finance Minister during his first visit to Kyiv since the war began, assured Ukraine of further support in the fight against russia.
