It has been the 421th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The russian army launched 17 airstrikes and conducted 33 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian settlements and positions of Ukrainian Defense Forces. The attacks caused casualties among the civilian population.

Ukraine is still under the threat of further missile and air strikes.

Russia concentrates key efforts towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk. Over 40 russian attacks were repelled. The fiercest battles are raging for the city of Bakhmut.

Towards Volyn, Polissia, Siversk and Sloboda, the operational situation has not changed significantly. Certain units of the Armed Forces of the republic of belarus remain in the areas bordering Ukraine. Some units of russian territorial troops are being trained in belarus. Russia maintains enhanced military presence in its Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod oblasts bordering Ukraine. Russian troops shelled Yanzhulivka, Halahanivka, and Hremiachka, Chernihiv oblast; Stukalyvka and Pavlivka, Sumy oblast; Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka, Neskuchne, and Khatne, Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, and Berestove, Kharkiv oblast, were shelled from artillery.

Towards Lyman, attempting to improve the tactical situation, russian forces conducted unsuccessful attacks in the vicinity of Serebryansk forestry. Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk oblast; Ivanivka, Verkhnokamyanske and Spirne, Donetsk oblast, came under artillery fire.

Towards Bakhmut, the russian army continues to conduct offensive operations. The battle for Bakhmut continues. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 22 russian attacks. Vasyukivka, Minkivka, Zaliznianske, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Zalizne, Nelipivka, and New York, Donetsk oblast, were shelled.

Towards Avdiivka, the russian army conducted unsuccessful attacks in the vicinities of Kamianka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske, Donetsk oblast. Russian troops shelled Keramik, Stepove, Kamianka, Tonenke, Sieverne, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske.

Towards Mariinka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled numerous russian attacks in the vicinity of Marinka and Pobieda, Donetsk oblast. The russian army shelled Krasnohorivka, Maksimilianivka, Heorhiivka, Mariinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Shakhtarsk, the russian army attempted to advance in the vicinities of Prechistivka and Vuhledar. All attacks have failed. Russian soldiers shelled Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosilka, Zolota Niva, Prechistivka, and Vuhledar, Donetsk oblast.

Towards Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, the russian army is on the defensive. Russian troops shelled over 40 settlements along the contact line, including Vremivka and Novopil, Donetsk oblast; Chervone, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, and Orihiv, Zaporizhzhia oblast; Beryslav, Ivanivka, and Vesele, Kherson oblast, and the city of Kherson. 

Fearing leakage of information about their units, russian soldiers have reinforced counterintelligence measures in several districts of Kherson oblast. They dispatch additional patrols and conduct frequent searches of local houses. At the same time, during such inspections, russian troops conduct surveys of citizens and offer them service in the armed forces of the russian federation.

Ukrainian Air Force attacked 1 buildup of russian troops, weapons and military equipment. Ukrainian missile and artillery troops attacked 3 russian command posts.


550 cultural heritage objects were destroyed or damaged by the Russian military. This was announced by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko. 

143.8 billion dollars, as a result of the full-scale invasion of russia into Ukraine, caused material losses. This was announced by Yuriy Aristov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. The following sectors were most affected: residential buildings – 37.3%, infrastructure – 25.2%, assets of enterprises and industry – 7.9%, the education sector – 6.2%, agriculture and land resources – 6.1%, energy – 5.6%.

During the autumn-winter period, 1,500 russian air targets were destroyed. This was reported by Air Force spokesman Colonel Yuriy Ihnat. He also noted that Ukraine needs more air defense systems, as well as missiles for them.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian troops shelled at least nine settlements.

Roman Hryshchenko, a brigadier of the Kharkiv 127th Brigade reported that the situation in Bakhmut remains tense but under control.

During the occupation of Izium region, russian soldiers kidnapped former ATO participants, beat them, kept them in a cellar, assigned them a serial number instead of their names and forced them to clean the streets and dig trenches. The invaders marked two of the kidnapped men with hot iron. The investigation established that the order to torture people was given by a 41-year-old russian lieutenant colonel with Moriachok codename. He was in charge of the 30th motorised rifle brigade of the central district during the occupation of Pisky-Radkivski village. He was notified of suspicion in absentia and is about to be put on the wanted list.

Yesterday, the enemy continued to attack civilian infrastructure and civilians in Kharkiv, Kupiansk and Chuhuiv regions. Specifically, Strilecha, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, Dvorichna and other settlements were under hostile attack.

In Kupiansk, a private residential building was damaged by hostile shelling and a fire broke out. There were no casualties.

Mine clearance is ongoing. Yesterday, pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service examined more than 15 hectares of territory and defused 283 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

National Resistance Centre informed that russia provided RUB 1.5 billion for the so-called medical examination of children, under the guise of which they are illegally taken to the territory of russian federation. Children are being taken by the russian Ministry of Health under the supervision of Maria Lvova-Belova, who was issued an arrest warrant by a court in the Hague on 17 March. The resistance center noted that in fact the invaders do not conduct high-quality medical examinations and a significant part of the provided money is stolen, including by the occupation administrations and doctors who come from russia to perform “medical examinations”.

The Office of the Prosecutor General recorded another crime committed by mercenaries of the Wagner terrorist organisation against the civilian population of Donetsk oblast. This is the deportation of four families with young children from Bakhmut.

The Proliska humanitarian mission launched a free bus to villages in Pokrovsk community for residents.

As of 20 April, 56 children remain in frontline settlements in Donetsk oblast. Residents, who do not want to evacuate, are influenced by false propaganda. Adults also refuse to leave for the unknown.

Defence forces repelled 22 russian attacks in Bakhmut. Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Zaliznianske, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Oleksandr-Shultyne, Bila Hora, Druzhba, Zalizne, Nelipivka and New-York were attacked by russians.

Yesterday, the invaders shelled 10 settlements. Private and apartment buildings, a hospital and a kindergarten were damaged.

Three buildings, the village council and cars were damaged as a result of russian shelling of Novodmytrivka yesterday. Mykola Yakovlev, regional head, said that there are still more than three hundred residents in five villages of the region. They are shelled every day, about 40 buildings have already been damaged by shelling.

Towards Volnovakha, there were over 30 attacks on Vuhledar, the aftermath is being established. Novoukrainka was also shelled by Grad multiple rocket launchers; there were no casualties.

Towards Donetsk, Kurakhove and Hirnyk of Kurakhove community, Novooleksandrivka of Hrodivka community, Marinka, Avdiivka and the outskirts of Ocheretyne community were attacked, no casualties.

Towards Horlivka, one person was killed in Kostiantynivka. Two two-storey buildings, 8 private buildings, 8 cars and a school in Viroliubivka were damaged as a result of shelling and rocket attacks. 2 buildings were damaged in Toretsk community and the outskirts of Chasiv Yar and Soledar communities were targeted.

Towards Lysychansk, there were isolated attacks on Siversk and the community.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday Russians killed one civilian in Kostiantynivka. Two more people were injured.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday, the enemy tried to improve the tactical situation, conducting unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of the southern outskirts of Kreminna and Serebrianka forestry.

Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Dibrova, Kuzmyne and Bilohorivka were shelled with artillery.

The enemy continues to suffer losses, overcrowding the network of civilian medical facilities with injured, even in small settlements.

Artem Lysohor, head of the RMA said that the women injured in Svatove region are receiving all the necessary medical assistance outside the region. He noted that the enemy continued to shell Nevske, Stelmakhivka and Bilohorivka. In Sievierodonetsk, the invaders prohibit people from using mobile phones. Sometimes they detain them.

Referring to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, despite heavy shelling and aerial bombardment, food and hygiene kits were delivered to residents of Makiivka and Hrekivka yesterday. In addition, 500 loaves of bread were given to people.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Kyiv. This is his first visit during a full-scale war. The Ukrainian authorities interpret the visit of the NATO Secretary General as a sign of the Alliance’s readiness to start a new chapter in relations with Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a joint briefing with the head of NATO in Kyiv.

The International Summit of Cities and Regions started in Kyiv, held at the initiative of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine. At the discussion panels, the participants of the event will discuss the reintegration of Ukrainian territories, overcoming humanitarian challenges, restoring the vitality of communities, demining and innovative development of territories.

The day before, foreign delegations visited Bucha, Irpin, Borodianka, Dmytrivka, and Andriivka, where they saw with their own eyes destroyed residential buildings, schools, kindergartens, and hospitals. Among the participants are representatives of Israel, Poland, Germany, Finland, Lithuania, Romania, the Czech Republic, Portugal, the USA and other European and world countries.

Pierre Heilbronn, France’s special envoy for aid and reconstruction of Ukraine, arrived in Kyiv to discuss the international recovery strategy.

The Lithuanian delegation visited Borodianka. During the visit, the participants inspected a new modular town, established with the assistance of the Lithuanian government, as well as a school destroyed by the russian occupiers, the opening of which, thanks to Lithuanian partners, is planned for September this year.

The National Police of Ukraine reported that the investigators of the National Police sent an indictment to the court against another occupier who shot at the cars of the residents of Irpin and took wounded civilians prisoner. On March 5-6, 2022, the russian military opened fire on local residents with children who were trying to evacuate from Irpin. As a result of the shootings, 9 people died, 12, including a child, were injured.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko announced that about 800 buildings, 417 of which are residential, were destroyed by russian missiles and kamikaze drones in the city, 162 people died, including five children. According to him, the capital is still the target of the aggressor country of the russian federation. However, the authorities are doing their best to anticipate various scenarios of enemy aggression and are much better protected than before.

The Kyiv City Council took the land and started the procedure for the creation of the National Military Memorial Cemetery in Bykivnya. The place for it was determined by the government. The total area of the memorial cemetery will reach almost 100 hectares.

American journalist Juan Arredondo, who survived the russian shelling, is filming a documentary in Ukraine. On March 13, 2022, two American journalists, Juan Arredondo and Bren Reno, were looking to film the evacuation of the residents of Irpin and came under fire from the russian occupiers on the bridge over the Irpin River. Juan’s colleague died in the car, and he was brought to a Kyiv hospital with shrapnel and gunshot wounds, where he underwent emergency surgery.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Zhytomyr RMA reported that 31 medical institutions in Zhytomyr oblast were damaged due to the armed aggression of the russian federation. So far, 28 medical institutions have been restored in the oblast, and doctors did not stop their work for a moment despite shelling and blackouts.

The Narodychi settlement military administration reported that in 8 villages of the community, it was forbidden to visit cemeteries due to the threat of explosive objects, namely Vilkhova, Rovba, Dovgiy Lis, Motyli, Omelnyky, Nozdryshche, Stare Sharne and Tychkiv. Since the full-scale war began, 9 villages of the community were occupied by the russian military, invading the north of the oblast from the territory of the Chernobyl zone.

The Silesian Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland will continue to support business and entrepreneurs of the Zhytomyr oblast. An office of the Upper Silesian Foundation will be established in the oblast to promote cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian entrepreneurs. This was announced by the secretary of the Silesian Voivodeship, Dariush Ptas, who was in Zhytomyr on April 19. As noted by the head of RMA Vitaliy Bunechko, since the beginning of the war, the Polish government and communities have been continuously providing humanitarian aid to the oblast, which includes generators, medicines, tactical equipment, passenger buses and special equipment for rescuers and medics.

Volunteers from Zhytomyr handed over five quadcopters, three generators, oxygen tanks, a pickup truck, army beds and medical supplies to the newly created 41st military brigade. According to the volunteers, the help was collected on their own, and also received from different parts of the world.

Sumy oblast

On April 19, the russians shelled the border communities of Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Shalygine, Nova Sloboda, and Khotyn. As reported in Sumy RMA, 52 hits from mortars, artillery, and grenade launchers were recorded.

At night and in the morning, the russians launched 2 mortar attacks on the territory of the Bilopillia community. 12 hits were recorded.

The mayor of the French city of Fumel, Jean-Louis Costes, promised to help Konotop with utility equipment. He visited Sumy oblast on April 19 as part of the International Summit of Communities and Regions. The mayors signed an agreement on partnership cooperation between the cities and agreed that the Konotop city council will address the leadership of French Fumel with an official letter regarding the needs of the community.

Chernihiv oblast

Three local residents of the village of Halahanivka were injured due to the shelling of the Semenivka community. The ‘North’ Operational Command reported that the woman, who received shrapnel wounds to the head, died in the hospital. Also, as of 17:00, the villages of Mykolaivka, Yanzhulivka, Leonivka and Hremyachki came under russian shelling – a total of 35 hits from barrel artillery and mortars were recorded.

Border guards found a drone belonging to the occupiers shot down a few days ago in a forest near the border of Chernihiv oblast with russia. Bomb technicians were called to the scene because the ammunition carried by the drone did not detonate. “Shahed” drone was sent for examination.

The Nizhyn city council informed that a rehabilitation center is planned to be built in the city with the help of French businessmen. The president of the National Association of Architects of France, Martin Duplantier, who has already visited Nizhyn three times, has a pre-project proposal. Construction will begin “from scratch” next to the Nizhyn city hospital.

Representatives of delegations from France and Latvia, who visited Chernihiv oblast on April 19 as part of the International Summit of Communities and Regions, are ready to take part in the restoration of the oblast. One of the ideas of participation of the Paris region of France is to help with the processing of building materials from destroyed objects for further use.

Chernihiv pyrotechnicians received 11 modern metal detectors, which were donated by the non-profit charitable organization “Tip of the Spear Landmine Removal”. In addition, its representatives conducted an educational training, during which they talked in detail about the characteristics of metal detectors and demonstrated the intricacies of their work in practice.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Dnipro Regional Military Administration reported that East Air Command’s air defence system downed six Shahed UAVs that the enemy aimed at Dnipropetrovsk oblast.

According to the National Police, russian occupiers attacked one of the villages of the Chervonohryhorivka community with MLRS and heavy cannon artillery. A private enterprise, an outbuilding, solar power panels and metal fences were damaged. There were no casualties. The consequences of the war crimes of the russian occupiers are being evaluated by the National Police And rescue workers.

Inventors from Kryvyi Rih are developing a drone that they plan to launch to the capital of the russian occupiers on May, 9. ‘Cobra’ is made of ultra-light steel and is equipped with a proprietary engine. According to the developer, the technology’s uniqueness lies in the fact that the UAV can be converted into completely different items in a few days. The UAV is being built with funds raised by Ukrainians.

Vinnytsia oblast

During a working visit to Vinnytsia oblast, delegations from the Lodz Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland and the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic met with IDP families in Khmilnyk. Poland invited children from large families to a summer camp. Large families received kits from international partners.

​​The Department of Health and Rehabilitation of the RMA reported that rehabilitation of servicemen is being carried out in a swimming pool. As part of the ‘First Contact’ programme, the first training session for people with spinal cord injuries took place in the swimming pool of the Aqua-Vin sports complex. Specialists trained people undergoing treatment in the rehabilitation department of the Yuschenko Psychoneurological Hospital.

Kirovohrad oblast

SSU regional office press service reported that the investigation of the circumstances that led to the massive missile attack on Kanatove airport on 23 July 2022 is ongoing. The enemy fired 13 missiles at Kirovohrad oblast, killing a military unit commander and wounding 17 Ukrainian defenders.

Poltava oblast

Almost 15,000 IDPs in Cherkasy and Poltava oblasts have received assistance from the Hungarian Ecumenical Relief Service. These are the results of the first year of operation of the Logistics Humanitarian Centre for Emergency Response, located in Cherkasy, which provides support and emergency assistance to IDPs.

Cherkasy oblast

Oksana Shcherbak, the executive director of the Cherkasy branch of the Cherkasy Regional Employment Centre reported that combat veterans and their spouses can apply for and receive grants from the state to start or develop their own business. This is an opportunity to expand the state programme yeRobota, which has been operating since July last year.  3 new areas for veterans, their families and people with disabilities caused by the war, were added. The demobilized soldiers will be able to integrate into civilian life more easily, make a profit and create new jobs. The programme provides grants in amounts not exceeding UAH 250,000, UAH 500,000 and UAH 1 million.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

A private residential building was completely destroyed as a result of russian shelling of Gulyaypol. There were no casualties.

Two people were killed and one was wounded in the russian shelling of Zaporizhzhia oblast today. 

Yuriy Malashko, head of the Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration reported that over the past day, the enemy made 86 attacks on 13 localities using various types of weapons. 20 new destructions were recorded. 

According to the press service of the State Emergency Service in Zaporizhzhia  oblast on April 19, Zaporizhzhia sappers neutralized 3 units of shell remnants from the Smerch multiple rocket launcher system and 1 unit of shell remnants from the Uragan MLRS.

The mayor of Enerhodar, Dmytro Orlov said, the russian military is increasingly conducting strict checks on the streets. This happens both according to the lists of so-called “unreliable” people compiled and occasionally practiced by the occupiers, and selectively. They are particularly interested in people with Ukrainian passports. They check phones for Ukrainian channels, patriotic photos, etc. They demand to open and show social networks. They selectively read the correspondence.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to the Mykolaiv RMA, the russian military is shelling Ochakiv, Mykolaiv oblast, using multiple launch rocket systems. The shelling of the city takes place with a certain periodicity, first with MLRS from the Kinburn Spit. Damage and casualties are being established.

Mykolaiv region has already received 468 modular houses with the necessary equipment from the European Commission for IDPs and people whose housing was destroyed/damaged as a result of hostilities. In 8 territorial communities of Mykolaiv region, 101 such houses have already been installed.

According to the regional military administration, as of the second half of April, over 17,000 civilian objects have been partially or completely destroyed since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion in Mykolaiv region. Most of the damage was recorded on gas networks and equipment. Almost five thousand customers in the region are left without gas supply.

Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, said that this year, all sea beaches in Mykolaiv oblast will be closed due to intense mining. It is possible that inland waters, such as estuaries and rivers, will be accessible, but only if there is no threat and no shelling. Currents in the sea and estuaries sometimes bring hazardous objects ashore even 50 kilometers from where they entered the water, and it may take up to 70 years to completely clean all Ukrainian beaches.

Odesa oblast

The Odesa Regional Military Command reported the night of April 19-20 in Odesa oblast was relatively calm. There were no air raid warnings and no shelling. However, due to stormy weather in the Black Sea, the danger of mines is growing in Odesa region. The threat of missile attacks remains relevant for the region, as there are enemy missile carriers in the sea. As of April 19, nine russian ships, including three cruise missile carriers, were stationed here, with a total volley of up to sixteen “calibers”.

A French delegation headed by the President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Mr. Renaud Muselier, paid an official visit to Odesa. During the meeting, Odesa Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov and Mr. Muselier discussed plans for future cooperation. France has been supporting and helping Odesa since the first days of russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and its sister city Marseille has been providing Odesa with much-needed humanitarian aid.

Residents of Izmail district received almost 1500 Easter cakes from the Foundation of Goodness and Love. This is how volunteers greeted pensioners, people with disabilities and low-income families on Easter.

Kherson oblast

In the afternoon, russians struck the village of Kizomys. A 59-year-old man died as a result of the shelling.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson RMA said that the russian army shelled Beryslav. The city was left without electricity.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, over the past day, russian occupants fired 60 times at civilian settlements in Kherson oblast:  Beryslav, Novooleksandrivka and Tyahyn territorial communities. They fired 298 shells from artillery, mortars, tanks, drones and aircraft. In Beryslav, special equipment of the State Emergency Service was damaged as a result of an explosive hit from a drone. The enemy attacked Kherson 5 times, firing 39 shells at the city. The building of a critical infrastructure enterprise and the territory of a car company were hit. 6 people were wounded. 

The police handed over humanitarian aid to large families from Zelenivka, which suffers daily from shelling by the russian army. The families received food packages from various charity organizations, as well as stationery and sweets for the children. To encourage the kids, the police presented them with flags and bracelets in national colors as a symbol of faith and pride in their country.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the Lublin Voivodeship Zbigniew Wojciechowski, Vice Marshal, Boleslaw Gzik, Vice Voivode, and Bohdan Kawalka, Director of the Department of Strategy and Development. They discussed areas of cooperation, prospects for preparing joint projects within the framework of the Poland – Ukraine 2021-2027 Interreg NEXT Program, as well as issues of further support for Ukraine. In addition, the Polish delegation brought a generator for the oblast.

The Western Regional Center of the Coordinating Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War held a meeting with the families of captured and missing servicemen.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Svaliavsk primary school #1 received two stationary computers thanks to the Organization of Agrarian Workers (MAGOSZ), the National Chamber of Agriculture of Hungary and István Jakab, Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament.

In the local school of the Hungarian city of Vashvar, students of the choreographic and musical department of the Svaliavsk School of Arts performed as part of the Children of Ukraine – Children of Europe for Peace concert. Also, during the event, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Muzhik music school in the city of Niredhaza.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM). They discussed the actual needs of IDPs and mechanisms for providing them with assistance.

Lviv oblast

Andrii Sadovy, Mayor of Lviv, together with Aleksandra Dulkiewicz, Mayor of Gdansk, signed a Memorandum of Support for the initiative to create a Partnership and Cooperation Office in Lviv. The purpose of the memorandum is the development of the city and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

A delegation from Brody’s sister city of Mogilno in Poland brought humanitarian aid, namely four bags of food and household chemicals, to Ukraine for the fifth time.

Medics from Mykolaiv visited Lviv to learn about the experience of reforming medicine. The guests also attended the International Forum of Rehabilitation and the opening of the modern rehabilitation building of the National Center Unbroken.

Over 240 families (including families of IDPs, those who accepted IDPs and families whose members are participants in hostilities) from Yavoriv community received certificates worth UAH 12K, which can be used in the network of one of the shopping centers to purchase building materials, agricultural goods and electrical appliances for construction and agricultural works from FAO, the Lviv Chamber of Agriculture and is financed by the French government.

Rivne oblast

The RMA representatives together with the Polish delegation from the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, visited the site of the first rocket attack in Rivne oblast. The memory of 21 fallen National Guardsmen was commemorated. Last year on March 14, a russian missile hit the television tower in the village of Antopol. Today, a memorial sign has been erected near the site of the impact.

Ternopil oblast

In the village of Bolozhivka of Shumsk community, a memorial plaque to the fallen Hero Ivan Anin was unveiled on the facade of the gymnasium. Anin Ivan was born in 1998. Since 2020, the young man has served in the National Guard of Ukraine. In 2021, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was killed in combat on March 15, 2022 in the battles for Kyiv. He was awarded the 3th degree Order For Courage (posthumously).

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with a delegation from the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. They discussed the organization of humanitarian support and activation of interregional cooperation.

Chernivtsi oblast

Ruslan Zaparaniuk, head of the Chernivtsi RMA, together with Martin Seiler, President of the General Council of Deputies of the Swabian District, visited the Chernivtsi Regional Hospital for War Veterans, on the basis of which a rehabilitation center will be created.

An opening of the Sports Angels photo project took place in Chernivtsi. 150 stories are presented with photos of fallen Sports Heroes and short stories about them.

The rifle battalion of the oblast received a drone in a backpack, equipped with a camera and additional batteries, chainsaws, metal canisters, mining shovels, camouflage uniforms, T-shirts and canned pork, from the German organization UKA Umweltgerechte Kraftanlagen GmbH&Co.KG.

The Chernivtsi Regional Perinatal Center received food products (rice, buckwheat groats, pasta, canned meat, as well as baby food) from the Chernivtsi regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The US allocated a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $325 million: ammunition for HIMARS over 9 million cartridges for small arms; 155 mm and 105 mm caliber artillery shells; high-precision aviation ammunition; TOW wire-guided missiles; AT-4 anti-tank weapons and anti-tank mines; spare parts and other field equipment.

Lars Lucke Rasmussen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, and Trolls Lund Poulsen, Acting Minister of Defense of Denmark, announced that Denmark and the Netherlands will deliver 14 more Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine. This aid is in addition to the transfer of up to a hundred Leopard 1 tanks that the government previously announced.

Denmark aims to deliver at least 80 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine by the end of 2023.

In addition to Patriot, Germany sent Ukraine a second air defense system Iris-T-SLM.

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, arrived in Kyiv. This visit of Jens Stoltenberg was the first during a full-scale war. They discussed the Ramstein meeting, the Vilnius NATO summit, security guarantees for Ukraine and for Ukrainians on the way to NATO and the supply of long-range weapons, modern aviation, artillery and armored vehicles.

The European Commission and EU countries are preparing the next package of sanctions against russia this week. Germany has already asked to include nuclear energy in it.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department stated that the country imposed sanctions on an international network that helped iran produce drones.

The Swiss Federal Department of Economics, Education and Research reported that the country imposed sanctions against the wagner company infantry fighting in Ukraine.

Jessica Rosvall, Minister of European Affairs of Sweden, presiding over the EU announced that the International Center for the Investigation of russian Crimes Against Ukraine should be operational by the end of June.

Annalena Burbock, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, stated that the country will not abandon the sanctions policy against russia as long as this country continues its aggression against Ukraine.

Michael O’Leary, general director of the Ryanair company, announced that the low-cost carrier is ready to quickly resume flights to Ukraine as soon as it becomes safe to fly in the country.
