Since the beginning of this day, there have been 248 combat engagements in total.
Ukrainian defenders continue to resolutely repel the enemy’s attempts to advance deeper into our territory, inflicting heavy fire damage on them.
The Russian invaders carried out 27 airstrikes, dropping 81 guided bombs. In addition, they used 1,423 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,681 shellings of our positions and populated areas.
On the Northern–Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, three combat clashes took place. The enemy launched five airstrikes, dropped 13 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 132 shellings, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.
Today, the enemy attacked 23 times in the Southern–Slobozhanskyi direction, near the areas of Vovchansk, Synelnykove, Tykhe, Kamyanka, Bologivka, and towards Dvorichanske. Four clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted six assaults toward Petropavlivka and Pishchane. Two engagements are still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 20 enemy assaults near Borivska Andriivka, Tverdokhlibove, Ridkodub, Derylove, Novoselivka, Torske, and toward Chervonyi Stav, Stavky, Korovyn Yar, Drobycheve.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy attacked 13 times near Yampil, Serebrianka, Dronivka, and Siversk; two clashes continue.
In the Kramatorsk direction, our troops repelled two enemy assaults near Vasiukivka and toward Minkivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, there were 27 combat clashes today. The enemy tried to storm the positions of Ukrainian units near Oleksandro-Shultyne, Bila Hora, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Sofiivka and Illinivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has attacked 87 times near Shakhove, Nykonorivka, Bilytske, Zatyshok, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Zelene, Dachenske, Lysivka, Novomykolayivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, Dachne, and toward Nove Shakhove, Sofiivka, Rivne, and Novopavlivka.
Our defenders are holding back the enemy’s pressure; fighting continues in several locations.
Preliminary reports indicate that 75 occupiers were neutralized on this axis today, including 43 irreversibly. Additionally, Ukrainian troops destroyed three motorcycles, one UAV, two ground robotic systems, six vehicles, and two units of special equipment, as well as damaged three vehicles and two enemy personnel shelters.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 26 enemy attacks near Yalta, Ivanivka, Zelenyi Hai, Oleksandrohrad, Novoselivka, Sichneve, Orestopil, Stepove, Rybne, Zlahoda, Verbove, and toward Andriivka–Klevtsove. Pokrovske, Radisne, and Nove Zaporizhzhia came under airstrikes.
In the Huliaipole direction, 12 clashes occurred near Zelenyi Hai, Vesele, Solodke, Zlahoda, and toward Yablukove and Rivnopillia. Dobropillia was hit by an airstrike.
In the Orikhiv direction, since the start of the day, eight combat clashes took place — the occupiers attempted to advance near Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, and toward Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, and Prymorske. The enemy also carried out airstrikes on Lukianivske and Stepnohirsk.
In the Prydniprovske direction, the Defense Forces stopped the enemy’s attempt to move forward.
No significant changes have been recorded in other directions.
Today, special recognition goes to the soldiers of the 34th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline Update
As of 22:00, fighting continues in the north and east of Kharkiv region against Russian occupation forces, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The number of assaults in the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction has increased to 23 today. Russian troops attacked near Vovchansk, Synelnykove, Tykhe, Kamyanka, Bologivka, and toward Dvorichanske. Four clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled four attacks, and two more are still being repelled.
Russian sources claimed the “encirclement” of Ukrainian troops in Kupiansk, which is false, said Viktor Trehubov, Head of the Communications Directorate of the Joint Forces Grouping.
Intense battles continue on this axis — Ukrainian forces are holding their positions and restraining the enemy’s advance. According to Trehubov, the situation remains tense and unstable.
During the past day, 196 combat engagements were recorded.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, there were 19 clashes near Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Synelnykove, Tykhe, and toward Dvorichanske and Kolodiazne.
In the Kupiansk direction, six enemy assaults were recorded over the past day. The Defense Forces repelled attacks toward Petropavlivka and Pishchane.
Six settlements in the Kharkiv region came under enemy strikes during the day.
A 46-year-old man sought medical assistance after being injured by shelling in Rokytne, Novovodolazka community, during the night of November 8.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons across Kharkiv region, including:

▪️ 7 “Geran-2” attack UAVs;
▪️ 2 FPV drones.
Damage to civilian infrastructure was reported:
▪️ In Bohodukhiv district – a private house was damaged (Zolochiv settlement);
▪️ In Kupiansk district – two private houses, outbuildings, and a vehicle were damaged (Horiane village);
▪️ In Kharkiv district – a private house was damaged (Ruskie Tyshky village);
▪️ In Lozova district – ten private houses were damaged (Lozova city).
Other news
The transit evacuation center in Lozova received 164 people over the past day; 42 remain there. Since its opening, the center has registered 11,368 people.
Half of the exhibits from the destroyed Hryhorii Skovoroda Museum in Kharkiv region, scheduled for restoration, have already been restored, according to the museum’s press service at the beginning of November. In total, specialists have examined over 100 museum items that were rescued from the literary-memorial museum in Skovorodynivka, which was destroyed by a Russian missile.
Donetsk oblast
The Defense Forces control the city of Myrnohrad, and the northern part of Pokrovsk has been cleared of Russian forces that had managed to infiltrate, reported Serhii Okishev, an officer of the Communications Department of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces.
On November 8, police recorded 2,185 enemy strikes along the front line and against residential areas.
Eight settlements came under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka and Kostiantynivka, the settlement of Sviatohorivka, and the villages of Kindrativka, Kurytsyne, Novopavlivka, Novoselivka, and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Eighteen civilian objects were damaged, including two residential houses.

In Kostiantynivka, Russian forces struck with a KAB-250 bomb and three FPV drones, killing two civilians and injuring three others. Two private houses, a garage, a civilian car, and a humanitarian mission vehicle were damaged.
In Rai-Oleksandrivka, one person was killed as a result of an FPV drone strike.
In Kindrativka, an enemy FPV drone hit a civilian vehicle, injuring three people.
In Druzhkivka, Russian troops directed an FPV drone at an educational facility, causing damage.
Due to “Geran-2” drone attacks in Kurytsyne and Novopavlivka, infrastructure facilities were damaged.

Luhansk oblast
The enemy was once again significantly more active in the Sloviansk direction, attempting to advance 15 times, and three more times in the Lyman direction. Eight settlements came under combat actions. Within our area of responsibility, Russian forces used artillery systems in five cases and deployed unmanned aerial systems nine times against Ukrainian defenders.
In the so-called “LNR”, occupation authorities continue to adopt the totalitarian practices introduced in Russia. For instance, the occupiers plan to block SIM cards that remain inactive for more than three days. To reactivate them, users will be required to undergo identity verification. The same restrictions will apply to SIM card holders returning from abroad.
For over three years, the invaders have been promising to rebuild the chemical industry in territories occupied since 2022. However, the long-awaited restoration of the Sievierodonetsk “Azot” chemical plant has so far been limited to attempts to launch catalyst production at a small facility located on the site of the former industrial giant destroyed by the Russian army. Having failed to attract private funding, after three years of searching for investors, the occupiers have now turned to Russia for a state loan.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Due to russian aggression in Kyiv and surrounding oblast, as of 25 October, 156 historical monuments and cultural infrastructure sites have been damaged. According to the Ministry of Culture, 1,612 cultural heritage sites and a total of 2,427 cultural infrastructure facilities have been destroyed or damaged in Ukraine as a result of shelling and fighting, 493 of which destroyed completely.
Kyiv oblast is systematically developing a network of rehabilitation and veteran spaces. According to the Regional State Administration, 12 spaces are already operating in various oblast communities in 2025, with five more planned to open by the end of the year. In just one year, veterans and their families received more than 3,500 consultations, participated in hundreds of sports and cultural events, 400 people were employed and more than 230 started their own businesses thanks to the state programme ‘Grant for Veterans’.
An adaptive boxing hall for veterans was opened at Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital No. 2. Training will be supervised by a professional rehabilitation coach. Veterans who are interested and have no contraindications will be able to participate in tournaments.
On 8 November, a peaceful march called ‘Ours are not home yet’ took place. More than five hundred people gathered in the centre of Kyiv. The march began at the Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People and continued to the National Opera of Ukraine. People came from different cities. The participants carried Ukrainian flags, brigade flags, and photographs of captured and missing servicemen.
Zhytomyr oblast
The press service of the 95th Brigade of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine and the Order of the Golden Star to Deputy Commander Lieutenant Colonel Kostyantyn Revutsky. The statement said that this is Ukraine’s highest state award. It is awarded to citizens for outstanding heroic deeds.
According to the head of the organisation, Natalia Gavrilovska, the Berdychiv City and District Organisation of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine provides residents of the district with not only humanitarian but also psychosocial support, teaches mine safety, conducts first aid training and develops volunteerism among young people. Four IDPs women work in the team.
Sumy oblast
Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of the Municipal Military Administration, said that on 9 November, two houses were damaged by russian shelling in Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy. A wooden outbuilding, five windows, and the roof of a residential building were damaged.
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that in Putyvl community, a 78-year-old woman was affected by a russian drone strike, suffering an acute stress reaction. She received assistance at the scene.
Between the morning of 8 November and the morning of 9 November, russian forces carried out 65 attacks on 31 settlements across 12 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (up to 20 strikes), dropped explosive devices from UAVs (up to 20 strikes), and launched multiple rocket and FPV drone attacks. The air raid alert in the oblast lasted 18 hours and 57 minutes during the day.
Civil infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
- In Seredyna-Buda community, a private car was damaged;
- In Putyvl community, private houses were damaged;
- In Sumy community, civil infrastructure facilities and a non-residential building were damaged;
- In Esman community, a private household was destroyed;
- In Shostka community, a civil infrastructure facility and a private house were damaged.
Artem Kobzar, Acting Mayor of Sumy, informed that following the massive nationwide attack on the energy infrastructure, emergency power outage schedules have been introduced. All medical facilities in Sumy community continue to operate normally, with critical equipment powered by backup generators. Due to network overload, temporary disruptions to mobile communications are possible. “Points of Invincibility” remain operational in the city, offering warmth, power, and hot drinks.
According to Mykola Noha, Mayor of Shostka, Shostka community continues to suffer daily shelling, leaving more than 3,000 households without electricity. Some infrastructure facilities have been so severely damaged that restoration is currently impossible. “Points of Invincibility” and heating centres in Shostka and surrounding settlements are equipped with generators, Starlink terminals, and eco-friendly fuel.
A bench press competition was held in Sumy on 8 November to honour the memory of police officers Oleksandr Tkachenko and Ihor Poladych, whose lives were taken by russian aggression.
Chernihiv oblast
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi District Military Administration, reported that on the morning of 9 November, the russian army attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi by strike drones. Civil infrastructure in a residential area was damaged.
During the night of 9 November, russian forces struck one of the thermal power plants operated by the company Clear Energy, reported company co-founder Andrii Hrinenko. According to him, three russian drones targeted one of the company’s plants, built in 2016. No casualties were reported.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that in the afternoon of 8 November, the enemy attacked an energy infrastructure facility in Koriukivka. During the night, drones struck one of the local enterprises, causing several impacts. A fire broke out and was later extinguished by firefighters.
Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that throughout 8 November, russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast — Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (19 explosions) and artillery fire (5 explosions), launched a Molniya-type UAV (1 explosion) and FPV drones (14 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (8 explosions). Thirteen settlements came under fire.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the Regional Council, reported that in Synelnykove region, the enemy attacked Malomykhailivka and Vasylkivka communities by drones,. A 75-year-old man was injured. Fires broke out, destroying several vehicles, one of which was inside a garage. A private house, a business, and infrastructure facilities were also damaged.
In Nikopol region, russian forces attacked Nikopol by drones from evening until night and struck Pokrovske community by both drones and artillery. In Pavlohrad region, updated information confirmed that a drone attack damaged a private house and two outbuildings, while another structure was destroyed.
In Nikopol region, the enemy continued to shell the regional centre and Chervonohryhorivka community by drones and artillery. An 83-year-old woman was injured. Five private houses, a petrol station, and an outbuilding were damaged, with another outbuilding destroyed. Updated reports indicate that a multi-storey residential building in Nikopol was damaged during the previous evening’s attack.
In Synelnykove region, russian forces launched guided aerial bombs on Pokrovske community, damaging an educational institution.
Vinnytsia oblast
Vinnytsia paid tribute to defender Serhii Polishchuk, known by the call sign “Siry.” The soldier was fatally wounded during a combat mission on 24 October. He died at the age of 39.
Poltava oblast
Electricity has been restored in Kremenchuk following the blackout that occurred on 8 November due to russian attacks on the energy infrastructure. The city had been without power for nearly 12 hours.
Cherkasy oblast
According to Ihor Taburets, Head of the Regional Military Administration, in Cherkasy oblast, air defence units shot down two russian drones.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 8 November, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 12 russian attacks on Huliaipole and Orikhiv regions. In particular, russian forces attempted to advance toward Plavni and launched assaults near Uspenivka and Novouspenivske.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, stated that on 8 November, a 69-year-old woman was injured in a russian attack on Tsvitkove village in Polohy region. Overall, russian forces launched 651 strikes on 17 settlements in the oblast. Among them were 400 drones of various types (mostly FPV) used to attack Kushuhum, Malokaterynivka, Chervonodniprovka, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Rivnopillia, Tsvitkove
and Pryvilne.
Valentyn Manko, Commander of Ukraine’s Assault Forces, informed that Ukrainian forces halted the russian advance in eastern Zaporizhzhia oblast. In Polohy region, Ukrainian assault units cleared Solodke and Rivnopillia of russian troops. Fighting continues near Poltavka and Uspenivka, where russian forces had attempted to move toward Huliaipole.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to Mykolaiv RMA, on 8 November, russian forces attacked Ochakiv community 7 times by FPV drones. There were no casualties reported.
Odesa oblast
Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, informed that in Prymorskyi district of Odesa, fragments of a downed drone fell onto a sidewalk. There were no injuries reported.
The russian forces attacked civilian infrastructure in Odesa oblast. Debris from downed drones damaged private properties, destroying a garage and the roofs of 2 residential buildings. Fires broke out but were promptly extinguished by emergency services.

Kherson oblast
Based on the information provided by Kherson RMA, around 4pm, russian forces attacked Stanislav village in Kherson oblast by a drone. A 36-year-old woman sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wound to soft tissues.
In Kherson city, an 87-year-old woman was injured in a russian drone strike. She suffered a blast injury and torso wounds.
Referring to the CMA, at around 2pm, russian troops attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson by drones, injuring a 61-year-old man who sustained blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to both legs. He was hospitalised.
Around 12:45pm, Korabelnyi district of Kherson came under russian artillery attack. A 74-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man were wounded and taken to the hospital.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that on 8 November, 7 people, including a child, were injured in russian shelling across Kherson oblast, which targeted 36 settlements. The attacks damaged 5 high-rise buildings, 10 private houses, an administrative facility and several vehicles.
According to the State Emergency Service of Kherson oblast, in Kherson, a private house caught fire after a russian strike. Firefighters extinguished the blaze despite the threat of renewed shelling. There were no casualties reported.
The CMA informed that a 46-year-old municipal worker injured by a russian drone in Kherson the previous morning was hospitalised with a concussion, explosive injury and closed head trauma.
Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine
Volyn oblast
Anastasiya Nerodyk, акщь Manevych, has won a grant to study in the UK in the amount of about UAH 1m. The girl is a student at the Yaroslav the Wise National Law University. A delegation from the 3rd district of Budapest – Obuda-Bekasmedyer is on a working visit to Uzhhorod. They discussed expanding cooperation in the areas of education, culture, sports, urban infrastructure, ecology, as well as the exchange of experience and joint participation in international projects.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Aid totaling over UAH 5.6m was provided to 9 military units. All of it was purchased within the framework of regional programs to support military formations in the Carpathian region.
Lviv oblast
Zhovtanetsk community sent a portable charging station, car tires, a camera, an angle grinder, a wrench, a tire inflation hose, uniforms and shoes, RPS, sleeping mats, film and camouflage nets to the military.
In Velikokolodnivske Primary School, as part of the We are Entrepreneurial week, parents of 1st-graders organized a charity fair. The UAH 11,000 that was raised was donated to the needs of military personnel from Zhovtanetsk community.
Students of Zhovtanetsky Lyceum raised about UAH 35,000 during a charity fair to support the community’s military personnel.
Rivne oblast
IAEA reported that Rivne NPP has reduced electricity production after the latest russian attack.
Ternopil oblast
The fighters of the separate special operations center West named after Prince Izyaslav Mstyslavych received 2 DJ Mavic 3 Rgo quadcopters from Ternopil community.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that 49 families of prisoners of war or missing persons received financial assistance. The total amount of assistance is over UAH 2.5m.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA held a meeting with Alle Dorhout, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Ukraine. They discussed the potential for expanding cooperation.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
France has donated 280 km of old fishing nets to Ukraine to protect against drones. Horsehair nets for catching monkfish last 12 to 24 months, after which they wear out and become unserviceable.
