The so-called ‘luhansk people’s republic’ staged a demonstration with the deprivation of russian citizenship. This is the first time such a decision has been made in the occupied Luhansk oblast. According to Russian law enforcement agencies, a 57-year-old resident of Novodruzhesk somehow posed a threat to national security. According to the occupiers’ plan, the local population should understand that they are being held hostage and may suffer at any time – they will find a reason. Therefore, since yesterday, Luhansk resident’s russian-issued documents, which she received in March 2023, have been invalid. russians also removed her from the registration register at her place of residence.

The events in neighbouring Lysychansk prove this. The city is closed to entry and exit by the occupation commandant’s office.
