The Russian army has increased pressure in the north of Donetsk region, toward Lyman. Over the past day, there were 41 Russian assaults in this sector, including near Torske, Karpivka, Novomykhailivka, Kolodiazi, and Ridkodub, compared to 18 attacks the day before, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The fiercest fighting was recorded on the Pokrovsk sector — 55 battles, while on the Novopavlivka axis there were 18 Russian assaults.

Fighters of the 427th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “Raroh” eliminated more than 350 Russian infantrymen in Donetsk region in August 2025. The Unmanned Systems Forces explained that this helped reduce the pace of Russia’s offensive against adjacent units and improved the tactical position of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Russia is pulling in marines, motorized rifle battalions, and remnants of units to Donetsk region. The main pressure is concentrated on the Pokrovsk sector — from there, Russian forces aim to advance simultaneously toward Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad and attempt to encircle Kostiantynivka, said Oleksii Bielskyi, spokesman of the “Dnipro” Operational-Strategic Grouping of Troops.

Fighting also continues in Donetsk region near the administrative border with Dnipropetrovsk region. The village of Voskresenka lies on the boundary of the two regions, but there is no official confirmation of a Russian foothold there, Bielskyi added.

Russia’s objective remains Pokrovsk, Myrnohrad, and Dobropillia by late autumn, Bielskyi reported. Pokrovsk has held the defense for 10 months, during which about 60,000 Russian soldiers were eliminated.

Eight more residents were evacuated from Kostiantynivka by local administration staff and volunteers of the “Angels of Salvation” group.

16 families of fallen or missing police officers were hosted for rest in Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Poltava regions. The program included accommodation, meals, and leisure. The event was organized by the National Police HQ in Donetsk region together with charities.

Since August 10, more than 15,000 people have left Dobropillia. Some residents abandoned their pets when leaving. The animals are being fed by locals who remain in the city or evacuated by volunteers and animal rights activists. Recently, UAnimals evacuated more than 30 animals from the city.

From artillery systems, the occupiers carried out 16 shellings of Defense Forces positions and settlements near the front line. Additionally, 31 drones were directed toward Ukrainian troops.

Agents of “ATESH” recorded the movement of Russian military columns near temporarily occupied Luhansk. Some trucks and armored vehicles were sent by Russian forces to the Zaporizhzhia direction, while others were sent to the rear for repairs and maintenance.

Earlier this summer, the occupation administration of the so-called “LNR” significantly reduced the speed of mobile internet, citing “security concerns” and imposing restrictions “until September 1.” However, as of autumn, the restrictions are still in place, and no specific date for lifting them has been announced. In many areas, there is either a complete lack of internet or a significant drop in connection quality.

Furthermore, wage arrears continue to accumulate. Employees of the municipal enterprise in Lysychansk — the city’s operational maintenance union — have not received payments since April. The total debt owed to them is 11 million rubles. In April, wage arrears at the local water utility reached 30 million rubles, and over the following months, employees have been underpaid by an additional 14 million rubles.
