Donetsk oblast

Donetsk Region: Occupation of Yelyzavetivka and Russian Advances on Several Fronts

The situation on the Donetsk front remains tense. Russian forces continue offensive operations and have fully occupied the village of Yelyzavetivka on the northern axis of the Pokrovsk direction. Significant enemy advances have also been recorded in Stara Mykolaivka, which is now almost entirely under Russian control, as well as in the neighboring village of Hnativka, where enemy units are consolidating their positions.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops have advanced near the village of Ridkodub, part of the Lyman territorial community in the Kramatorsk district. These developments were confirmed by updated data from the Ukrainian monitoring project DeepState, which tracks changes on the frontline via interactive maps.

Mariupol: The Illusion of “Reconstruction” and Ongoing Militarization

Occupied Mariupol is increasingly being transformed into a military stronghold. According to Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, recent photos from the city’s Central District reveal the grim reality of so-called “reconstruction.” The images show ruined buildings, damaged facades, and deteriorating streets—such as Matrosova Street—symbolizing the city’s decline.

Intelligence reports indicate that Russian forces are relocating troops and equipment to Mariupol from Rostov-on-Don. At the same time, works are underway to modernize the Mariupol port for military purposes and construct a new railway line connecting Rostov to the occupied city. These logistical efforts are focused on supporting military operations, including the transfer of infrastructure from training grounds into Mariupol.

Luhansk Frontline Update: Occupiers Militarize Children and Seize Ukrainian Property

In the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region, the Russian occupation administration plans to open at least 16 “summer camps” at schools, including in settlements near the frontline. According to the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Oleksii Kharchenko, under the guise of educational programs, these camps are in fact tools for militarizing teenagers and involving them in forced labor.

In occupied Luhansk, advertisements have appeared inviting teenagers to study in a so-called “special economic zone” in Tatarstan (Russia). However, intelligence reports indicate that these minors are being used as cheap labor to manufacture kamikaze drones.

Additionally, the occupation authorities have launched a mass “property inventory” campaign in Luhansk, which in reality serves as a cover for the raiding of homes abandoned by Ukrainian citizens who fled the region due to Russia’s full-scale invasion. Under the pretext of transferring “ownerless” properties to vulnerable groups, these homes are being handed over to collaborators and resettled Russian citizens.

On the battlefield, the situation remains tense. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched 29 assaults on the Lyman sector. Intense fighting was reported near Hrekivka, Ridkodub, Torske, and in the directions of Novyi Mir and Bilohorivka. In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 enemy attacks near Hryhorivka, Ivano-Darivka, and Verkhniokamianske.
