Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, Ukrainian defenders repelled five russian attacks, and four more combat clashes are still ongoing. The enemy launched three airstrikes, dropped a total of 10 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 94 artillery attacks, including one from multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern Sloboda, there were four attacks and another enemy attack is ongoing near the settlements of Vovchansk and Kamianka.
Towards Kupiansk, the aggressor carried out six assault actions in the vicinity of the settlements of Petropavlivka and Kupiansk. Three clashes are ongoing so far.

Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy attacked 11 times in the vicinity of the settlements of Oleksandrohrad, Maliivka, Shevchenko, Zelene Pole, Novoselivka, and Komyshuvakha. Four combat clashes are still ongoing.
Towards Huliaipole and Kherson, the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations, but launched an airstrike on the settlement of Bilohiria.
Towards Orikhiv, the aggressor attacked three times and tried to advance in the vicinity of Kamianske. One battle is still ongoing.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhia regional military administration, says that on the night of August 30, russia carried out a massive attack on Zaporizhia, using missiles and drones, resulting in the death of one person. Another 30 people were injured to varying degrees.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that four attacks were stopped by the Ukrainian military, another one is ongoing towards Southern Sloboda: the russian federation launched assaults in the vicinity of Vovchansk and Kamianka.
Towards Kupiansk, there were six clashes in the vicnity of Petropavlivka and Kupiansk, three are still ongoing. The russian federation also attacked near Novyi Myr.
There were 172 clashes.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian units eight times in the vicinity of Hlyboke, Prylipka, Vovchansk and towards Fiholivka, Kutkivka.
Towards Kupiansk, there were five attacks by the invaders. Our defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the vicinity of Zahryzove and towards Kupiansk.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated the village of Myrne near Kupiansk. This is evidenced by updated data from the DeepState map for August 29.
Shelling
Viktor Kovalenko, Head of the RMA, said that at about 1:50 p.m., russian troops launched a Molniya missile strike on the village of Velyka Rogozianka, Zolochiv community. According to him, there were two hits, an outbuilding was destroyed, and a house and power lines were damaged.

Over the past day, 3 settlements in the oblast were hit by enemy strikes. One person was injured as a result of the shelling.

140 people were registered at the intermediate transit evacuation point in Lozova during the day, including 18 children and 16 citizens with limited mobility. 36 people remained. In total, 1,015 people have been registered at the Point since it began operating.
“Every pair of shoes is the personification of the person they are looking for”: an action dedicated to the missing was held on the Constitution Square in Kharkiv. On the square near the monument “Ukraine that flies”, participants of the action placed more than 100 pairs of berets.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Danylo Melnykov, Head of the communications department of the 3rd separate assault brigade, says that russian troops are actively using camouflage means, in particular the so-called Chinese thermal imaging tents.
Ihor Shafihulin, Commander of the 1st operational battalion of the Spartan NGU brigade, says that towards Pokrovsk, russian troops operate in small groups, using FPV drones, artillery, and motorcycles. Most of the fighters are inexperienced. The main tactic is night movements under cover.
The General Staff said that russian troops increased the number of attacks near Toretsk last day to 13, the day before there were five assaults, and russians attacked 50 and 31 times towards Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka.
Towards Toretsk, russian troops attacked in the vicinity of Shcherbinivka, Toretsk, Diliivka and towards Kleban-Byk, Katerynivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka.
Towards Siversk, Ukrainian troops stopped four attacks near Hryhorivka and Pereizne, while there were 10 assaults in the previous 24 hours.
Shelling
Anastasia Miedviedeva, Spokeswoman for the regional prosecutor’s office, reports that russian troops shelled the city of Sviatohirsk in Donetsk oblast. As a result, one person was killed.
The RMA informs that russian troops shelled Kostiantynivka with artillery. As a result of the attack, a local resident was injured – a man was injured in his own house. He was hospitalized. In addition, at dawn, the russian army hit the city with an aerial bomb – the facade of the city dental clinic was damaged.
The RMA informs that at 10:25, Kramatorsk was subjected to the third shelling in a day – a Russian UAV struck the courtyard of an apartment building. \At about 01:52, the russian army with a Molniya-2 UAV struck the private sector and damaged two residential buildings. Also at 07:15 russian troops struck a residential area of apartment buildings.
Vadim Lyakh, Head of the RMA, reports that at night, the russian military attacked Sloviansk with Shakheds. The Russian military used seven UAVs. As a result of the shelling, an educational institution, an enterprise, and adjacent multi-storey buildings were damaged. There were no injuries or deaths.
On August 29, there were 1,996 enemy strikes on the frontline and the residential sector.

In Kramatorsk, a 13-year-old girl was injured as a result of a V2U UAV hit, and an express delivery service office was damaged.
One person was injured in Druzhkivka, which was hit by an enemy FPV drone. Another person was injured in Starorayske, Druzhkivska TG, and two civilian cars were damaged.
Slaviansk was attacked by russian troops with four Geran-2 UAVs – a recreation center and 10 civilian cars were damaged.
In Lyman, an FPV drone damaged critical infrastructure. In Drobysheve, three private houses and a civilian car were damaged as a result of a KAB-250 bomb. In Novostepanivka, Oleksandrivka community, three Geran-2 UAVs damaged a shop and an agricultural enterprise.
In Novodonetske, 6 apartment buildings and 5 civilian cars were damaged due to a drone attack. Serhiivka, Andriivka community, the enemy fired on Smerch MLRS, damaging 2 private houses and an outbuilding. In Komyshuvakha, Kramatorsk community, there is destruction on the territory of a landscape park.
In Belozerske, the occupiers struck a Geran-2 UAV – a private house and a garage were damaged. In Dobropillia, a drone hit an enterprise.

Other
Roman Buhaiov, an evacuation worker for the SOS East Foundation, says that rescuers evacuated 12 residents from Kostiantynivka, including three with reduced mobility. Luhansk oblast
The day before, russians carried out 33 assaults towards Lyman and Siversk. There, Ukrainian Defenders are holding the defense, stopping the enemy’s intentions to advance. In our zone of responsibility, the invaders used 52 UAVs and FPV drones. They hit 17 times with cannon artillery.
More than 600 Luhansk residents joined the All-Ukrainian Patriotic Race. “I respect the soldiers, I run for the Heroes of Ukraine.” The race opened on the Alley of the Defenders of Luhansk oblast in Dnipro. This place is a piece of memory of the feat of all the soldiers who gave their lives in the forests of Kreminna or near Siverskodonetsk.
Residents of Lysychansk, who are involved in the reconstruction of water and heating networks, have not received their salaries from the occupiers for more than three months. The restoration of the destroyed sections of the heating, water supply and sewage systems has been stopped at the stage of earthworks. It is expected that the city will remain without heat for the fourth winter in a row.
Residents of Siverskodonetsk received large sums in payments for maintenance of the adjacent territory. They were forced to pay in advance for work that was not actually carried out. In response to accusations of inaction in the occupation administration of the city, they responded that due to a lack of funds and personnel, there are not enough janitors in Siverskodonetsk to assign workers to each district of the settlement.

Kyiv oblast
According to the Regional Military Administration On August 30, the enemy once again attacked Kyiv oblast with strike drones and missiles. The air raid alert lasted almost 10 hours. The consequences of the attack were recorded in three districts:
- in Bucha district, two private houses were damaged;
- in Obukhiv district, a private house and outbuildings were damaged;
- in Fastiv district, a railway power line was hit, but train service has since been restored.
The death toll from the russian missile and drone strike on Kyiv on August 28 has risen to 25, including 4 children. Dozens of people were injured.
Emergency search and rescue operations in Kyiv continued non-stop for more than 30 hours. State Emergency Service workers rescued 17 people from under the rubble, including 4children. Assistance is being provided to the victims, including the restoration of documents and assessment of damaged property — more than 1,100 applications have already been filed.
The consequences of the missile and drone strike launched by russia on the night of 28 August have been eliminated in Kyiv. According to the State Emergency Service on the evening of 29 August rescue workers were busy at 19 locations in six districts of the capital. The Darnytskyi district suffered the most damage, with a five-storey building partially destroyed.
The Wildlife Rescue Center reported that two young roe deer died due to the russian attack on Kyiv oblast on August 28. The flight of missiles and drones and the explosions caused severe stress to the animals. Both roe deer had previous injuries and had lost limbs. Due to the extreme stress, their hearts gave out, and the animals died on the spot.

This week, the Ukrainian Women’s Guard, together with the Borodianka Initiative and local activists, conducted a military-patriotic training course for the youth of the Borodianka community. Young participants learned tactical medicine, mine safety, self-defense, and personal protection. They practiced working with tourniquets and evacuating the wounded, team coordination tactics, got acquainted with drones, piloted Mavics, observed FPV flights through VR goggles, and trained in a virtual shooting range.
Zhytomyr oblast
The Head of UNESCO’s Office in Ukraine, Chiara Dezzi Bardeschi, visited the village of Viazivka in Zhytomyr oblast. The visit included an inspection of damaged cultural monuments in near-frontline and de-occupied areas. The delegation reviewed the stabilization works on the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Narodychi community, which was destroyed by enemy shelling on March 7, 2022. The church, built in 1862, is a valuable example of wooden architecture of Polissia.
On August 30, more than 850 people gathered in Zhytomyr’s Hydropark to take part in the 8th nationwide memorial run “I Honor Soldiers, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine.” Each participant ran a distance in memory of a fallen defender.
Sumy oblast
The General Staff reported that towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, there were three engagements. russia carried out three airstrikes, dropped three guided bombs, and launched 158 attacks, including six by multiple launch rocket systems.
From the morning of 29 August to the morning of 30 August, russian forces carried out more than 80 attacks on 42 settlements in 15 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy, Shostka, and Konotop regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (over 20 strikes), dropped VOG grenades from UAVs (over 10 strikes), multiple launch rocket systems (up to 10 strikes), and also carried out attacks by FPV-drones and UAVs.
The Regional Military Administration informed that two people were injured in Velyka Pysarivka community as a result of a russian attack. A 62-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman were wounded in a drone strike and hospitalised.
In Shostka region, a 57-year-old woman was injured when a guided aerial bomb hit a residential house in Znob-Novhorodske community. She is in hospital.
The consequences of russian strikes in Sumy onlast as of the morning of 30 August:
- In Nova Sloboda community, 3 cars were damaged;
- In Seredyna-Buda community, private houses and an educational institution were damaged;
- In Znob-Novhorodske community, private households were damaged;
- In Bilopillia community, private houses were damaged.
On 29 August the City Council reported that during a morning inspection, specialists from Sumyoblenergo discovered an unidentified aerial vehicle near a power facility that had crashed without exploding. Explosives experts and National Police officers arrived at the scene, where the drone was removed and neutralised.
On the morning of 29 August, russian drones struck a milk truck and a car in two villages of Nova Slobidka community. According to Oleh Hryhorov, Head of Sumy RMA, no people were injured.
Denys Naumov, Mission Representative of Prolisok, announced that from 1 September, the humanitarian mission Prolisok will resume the operation of social buses in Sumy oblast. The routes will remain free of charge. The buses will continue to serve settlements without public transport, allowing residents to travel to administrative centres to access medical care and social services.
Chernihiv oblast
The North Operational Command reported that in a village of Semenivka community, a drone struck a private yard, setting a farm building on fire. In one of the villages of Nizhyn region, two houses, a farm building, and a car were damaged by enemy strikes. In Chernihiv region, a drone crashed into a field, igniting dry grass.
Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that during 29 August, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (7 explosions), strikes by FPV-drones (35 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (7 explosions). Ten villages came under enemy fire.
According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, on 29 August, a team from the Partnership for a Strong Ukraine programme worked in Chernihiv oblast. On the Day of Remembrance of Ukraine’s Fallen Defenders, representatives of the embassies of the United Kingdom, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, and Canada visited the oblast. The programme has been operating in Chernihiv oblast since April 2022, implementing projects to restore critical infrastructure, as well as educational, medical, and cultural initiatives.
On 29 August, in Mena a run was held in memory of fallen defenders — “I Honour Warriors, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine.” Relatives, friends, comrades-in-arms, and veterans of the russian-Ukrainian war took part in commemorating the fallen soldiers.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the oblast council, reports that the enemy massively attacked the region with missiles and UAVs. Several fires broke out in the Dnipro due to the enemy attack. The General Staff and the Southern Defence Forces reported that on 29 August, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 7 russian attacks in Orikhiv region. Battles took place near Stepove, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka and Stepnohirsk.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 29 August, russian forces carried out 613 strikes on 15 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. These included 169 artillery attacks on Mahdalynivka, Orikhiv, Plavni, Malynivka, Novoandriivka, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka and Charivne.
Mykolaiv oblast
Referring to Mykolaiv RMA, on 29 August, a 66-year-old woman was injured in a russian drone strike on Lupareve village. She was hospitalised. The russian military carried out multiple attacks across the oblast, with Ukrainian air defence engaging enemy targets.
Odesa oblast
The Ukrainian Navy reported that as of today, no russian naval ships are present in the Black Sea.
Kherson oblast
Based on the information provided by Kherson CMA, in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson, a 59-year-old woman was injured when explosives were dropped from a russian drone. She sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to her neck, torso and legs.
At around 5:15pm, another drone attack in Dniprovskyi district injured a man, who suffered blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his torso and leg.
At around 5pm, a drone strike in Dniprovskyi district injured a 62-year-old man, who sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds.
Overnight, russian shelling targeted Korabelnyi district of Kherson, damaging private houses. There were no casualties reported.
According to the Southern Defence Forces, on 29 August, on Dnipro area, russian troops attempted 4 assaults on Ukrainian positions, but failed.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, informed that on 29 August, in Kherson oblast, russian attacks killed 1 person and injured 7. A cell tower, a gas pipeline, a water tower, 2 high-rise buildings, 3 private houses and several cars were damaged. The russian forces struck 35 settlements.

Volyn oblast

A patriotic race I Honor the Warriors, I Run for the Heroes of Ukraine was held in Uzhhorod. About 700 participants ran with the names of the Heroes who were killed for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk sent FPV drones (dozens), tablets, a server, and various components to the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Perun Unmanned Systems Battalion. They are defending Ukraine in Pokrovsk region.
Lviv oblast
Andrii Parubiy, former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, MP from the European Solidarity, was killed in Lviv. Operation Siren has been declared in the city.This is a special law enforcement action plan that involves the search and detention of armed criminals who pose an increased danger. This regime is introduced in cases where criminals flee from the scene of a crime.
The Strength in Unity bike ride raised over UAH 2m for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This year, over 50 participants took part in the bike ride.
Drohobych region sent 150 drones and 6 cars, including ambulances, SUVs, and a special vehicle to the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Galician Brigade, the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other units of the Defense Forces.
Rivne oblast
The Air Defense Forces worked in Rivne oblast almost all night. Several enemy air targets were shot down. No people were injured, and the infrastructure was not damaged. Representatives of the Security and Defense Forces, as well as other services, are working on the scene.
The Run for Heroes race gathered over 500 participants in Rivne oblast. The event has been taking place for the 8th year in a row in all corners of the country.
Rivne oblast is one of four oblasts currently accepting evacuees from frontline areas. The 8th train with 8 people, mostly elderly, from Donetsk oblast arrived in the oblast in August.
Ternopil oblast
37 Ternopil servicemen will receive funds to purchase necessary equipment. Since the beginning of the year, 2,561 community defenders have already used this assistance.
Khmelnytskyi oblast

At night, 6 enemy UAVs were recorded over the territory of Bukovina – within Dniester region. 5 of them were neutralized by the Air Defense Forces. One flew outside the borders of Chernivtsi oblast. As a result of the fall of the drone in the territory of Rukshyn community, grass caught fire in the field. There are no victims, injuries or damage. Currently, representatives of all special services are examining the places where the eliminated enemy objects fell.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Ukraine has received €4.05bn from the EU for reconstruction and integration. €1bn will be provided under the ERA Loans, financed from frozen Russian assets, and €3.05bn under the Ukraine Facility for reconstruction and integration.
The US Department of State has approved the sale of Patriot and Starlink equipment and services to Ukraine for more than $300m. The US will provide engineering, technical and logistical services for the Starlink terminals. Additionally, the agreement includes software and logistical support from the US government and the contractor, Starlink Services. The estimated cost of these services is $150m. In addition, the State Department has approved the sale of Patriot and related equipment services for $179.1m.
