Since the beginning of the day, the total number of combat engagements amounts to 114.

The invaders continue to strike border settlements. As a result of enemy artillery fire, the following locations in Sumy region were affected: Myropilske, Pokrovka, Oleksandrivka, Zarychne, Petrushivka, Mariyine, Uhroidy, Dmytrivka, Velyka Pysarivka, Baranivka, Prohres, and Popivka. In Chernihiv region, Klyusy was affected. Airstrikes targeted areas near Velykyi Prykil and Uhroidy in the Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv direction, two combat engagements occurred near Starytsia and Krasne Pershe.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted to assault Ukrainian positions seven times in the areas of Zahryzove and Zelenyi Hai. Three combat engagements are currently ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the aggressor launched 14 attacks today in the areas of Ridkodub, Kolodiazi, Nadiia, Hrekivka, in the Serebrianskyi forest, and toward Karpivka, Seredne, Novyi Myr, and Zelena Dolyna. Six engagements are currently ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy conducted two offensive actions near Bilohorivka and toward the settlement of Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven enemy attempts to advance toward Markove and near Chasiv Yar and Bila Hora. Two engagements are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 13 times near Toretsk, Diliivka, and Druzhba. Three combat engagements are ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 32 attacks today on the positions of our defenders in the areas of Myroliubivka, Malynivka, Myrne, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Orikhove, Oleksiivka, and in the direction of Zoria, Rusyn Yar, Novomykolaivka, and Yablunivka. Six engagements are still ongoing. The settlements of Dovha Balka, Zoria, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Novotoretske, Pokrovsk, and Novoukrainka came under airstrikes.

In the Novopavlivka direction, our defenders repelled eight enemy attacks in the areas of Novopil, Zelene Pole, Vilne Pole, and toward Voskresenka. The enemy carried out airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Komar, and Myrne.

In the Orikhiv direction, the Defense Forces stopped four enemy attacks. The enemy tried to advance near Shcherbaky, Stepove, Novodanylivka, and Robotyne.

In the Huliaipole and Prydniprovske directions, no combat engagements occurred today.

In the Kursk direction, 16 combat engagements took place today, three of which are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched eleven airstrikes, dropped 23 glide bombs (KAB), and carried out 101 artillery attacks, including two from multiple rocket launch systems.

Ukraine has not yet received a list of conditions from Russia to end the war. Ukraine had expected an agenda for a ceasefire and a plan for a leaders’ meeting before the proposed 1000-for-1000 exchange. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Ukraine has signed a €50 million loan agreement to provide housing for internally displaced persons (IDPs). Thanks to this initiative, over 1,100 IDP families will be able to receive preferential mortgage loans. The benefits of this program include a fixed interest rate of 3%, a repayment period of up to 30 years, and the possibility to apply via the “Diia” portal. Currently, more than 35,000 families are already waiting for their turn to participate in the program.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline Update

As of 16:00, two combat clashes occurred in the Kharkiv sector, specifically in the areas of Starytsia and Krasne Pershe, according to the General Staff of Ukraine.

In the Kupiansk direction, the occupiers launched seven assaults on Ukrainian positions near Zahryzove and Zelenyi Hai. Three engagements are still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched 14 attacks today, including in the area of the Serebriansky Forest and towards Novyi Myr.

Over the past day, a total of 216 combat engagements were recorded.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defenders’ positions nine times near the settlements of Vovchansk, Zapadne, Stroivka, Fiholivka, and Dovhenke.

In the Kupiansk direction, there were two enemy assaults yesterday. Ukrainian defenders repelled storming actions near Zahryzove.

The “Kharkiv” Operational-Tactical Group denied foreign media reports about Russia deploying a 50,000-strong force for an offensive on Kharkiv.

In spring, Ukrainian intelligence (HUR) destroyed eight crossings over the Oskil River and about 600 enemy shelters in the Kupiansk direction. Russian forces suffered 439 casualties (killed and wounded), according to the Ministry of Defense’s HUR.

Shelling and Civilian Casualties

Over the past 24 hours, six settlements in Kharkiv Oblast were subjected to enemy strikes.

  • In Vasyshcheve (Bezliudivka community), men aged 59, 51, and 43, and a 4-year-old girl were injured.

  • In Eskhar (Novopokrovka community), an 85-year-old man was killed, and a 63-year-old man and two women aged 71 and 63 were injured.

  • In Kupiansk, a 67-year-old man was wounded.

  • In Balakliia, a 40-year-old man was injured due to a mine explosion.

The 85-year-old man who died in Eskhar overnight was trapped under the rubble of a house following an enemy strike. Rescuers managed to pull him out alive, but he later died in the hospital from his injuries, said Spartak Borysenko, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, on Suspilne TV.

The enemy actively used:

  • 1 guided aerial bomb (KAB)

  • 14 Shahed-type UAVs (“Geran-2”)

  • 4 FPV drones

Damage to civilian infrastructure includes:

  • In Kupiansk district:
    ▪️ 68 private houses, 7 apartment buildings, a school, and 3 shops were damaged

  • In Chuhuiv district:
    ▪️ 5 apartment buildings, 3 private houses, 3 civilian cars, a utility structure, and a garage were damaged

  • In Kharkiv district:
    ▪️ Workshops and warehouses of a local enterprise were hit

In May alone, the enemy dropped 237 guided bombs on the Kupiansk community, including 8 FAB-1500 bombs. Russian forces are deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure, municipal services, the National Police, and the State Emergency Service (DSNS).

Other News

In Northern Saltivka, Kharkiv, a high-rise building on Uzhvii Street is being dismantled. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion, several entrances of the building were partially destroyed by shelling, and it suffered further damage over time.

Before the full-scale war, 800 residents lived in the building’s nine entrances. The demolition is expected to be completed within two months.

During 2023–2024, state demining operators surveyed 76,000 hectares of de-occupied land in the Kharkiv region. Of these, 8,500 hectares were cleared of mines. Almost all surveyed areas have been marked as requiring demining, according to Yevhen Ivanov, Deputy Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

russian forces doubled the number of attacks in the Lyman sector over the past day. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 32 assaults near Novomykhailivka, Ridkodub, Zelena Dolyna, and Yampilivka, as well as in the direction of Karpivka and Novyi Myr, according to the General Staff’s report.

The highest number of attacks — 65 — was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector. Over ten assaults took place in the Kramatorsk and Toretsk sectors, while Ukrainian forces repelled more than 20 attacks in the Novopavlivka direction.

Ukrainian forces destroyed a Russian armored recovery vehicle while it was attempting to evacuate a damaged Russian tank, the “Khortytsia” Operational-Strategic Group reported. The equipment of the occupying army was destroyed by a drone operated by the “Ivan Franko Group.”

Shelling

russian forces shelled the town of Kostiantynivka three times during the day, damaging a hospital. The town was struck with tube artillery and two missiles launched from a “Smerch” multiple rocket launcher system, according to the head of the military administration, Serhii Horbunov.

As a result of the strike on Kostiantynivka, a 31-year-old man and a married couple aged 61 and 59 were injured, said Anastasiia Medvedieva, spokesperson for the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office. The condition of two of the injured is reported as serious.

After midnight, Russian forces shelled three settlements.
In Novovodiane, four drones damaged a farming enterprise and injured two civilians. In Sloviansk, an educational institution was damaged; in Andriivka, Kramatorsk district, a private house and civilian vehicle were hit.

Over the past day, 14 settlements came under fire:
The cities of Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk; the village of Zarichne; and the rural areas of Andriivka-Klevtsove, Bilokuzmynivka, Brusivka, Vesela Hora, Dovha Balka, and Mykolaipillia. Police recorded 2,437 strikes on the front line and residential areas.

Damage was reported to 50 civilian sites, including 16 residential buildings.

In Pokrovsk, four civilians were injured.

In Sloviansk, the enemy launched three KAB-500 aerial bombs and drone attacks, injuring one person. Damage included four private homes, a car service station, four civilian vehicles, and electric trains.

One person was injured in Zarichne, where a private home was damaged. In Brusivka (Lyman community), a KAB strike damaged railway infrastructure and two civilian vehicles.

In Kostiantynivka, Russian forces used a KAB-250 bomb and drones, damaging two private homes, a business, and a gas station. In Bilokuzmynivka, four private houses were damaged. In Dovha Balka (Illinivka community), an air bomb destroyed a private home.

In Druzhkivka, a tram depot was damaged by shelling. In Mykolaipillia (Druzhkivka community), a drone pierced the roof of a private home.

Dobropillia was attacked with drones – damage was reported to two private homes, a gas station, a non-residential building, and a vehicle. In Myrnohrad, a private home was damaged.

Other

Civilians who still remain in the city of Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, have found ways to leave for groceries and return, according to the head of the city military administration, Serhii Chaus. Currently, about 150 residents remain across all communities.

In Pokrovsk, 1,843 people remain, according to the Donetsk regional police. They live without electricity, gas, or running water, under constant shelling by Russian forces. Stores and a market continue to operate; residents fetch water from wells and travel to neighboring cities to withdraw cash.

Luhansk oblast

russian attacking efforts have been concentrated in the Lyman direction, according to the regional military administration. Among their main targets is the Serebryansky Forest, where Ukrainian defenders have been holding their positions for several years. The occupiers have also intensified assault operations in the Nadiya area and continue to exert pressure near Hrekivka. The enemy launched six artillery strikes and directed 73 unmanned aerial vehicles toward Ukrainian positions.

In Sievierodonetsk, hopes for the restoration of mobile communication within the city are nearly gone. During the day, if necessary, residents can still walk to the local utility services to request a plumber, or reach the emergency station to report a sick relative’s address. But during curfew hours, this is impossible. Movement around the town is prohibited, and communication is unavailable, meaning that emergency services cannot be called until morning.

The budget sector in the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR)” is a key reason for delays in salary payments. In Rubizhne, the occupiers owe over two million rubles to municipal workers. Twenty-seven employees of a company responsible for facility maintenance have not received their wages for three months since the beginning of the year.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Two months ago, the “Clear Sky” project began implementation in the Kyiv region. During this time, over 200 Russian drones have been shot down as part of this initiative, reported Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration. According to him, Ukrainian defenders use interceptor drones to destroy “Shaheds” in the sky before they can harm civilians and infrastructure. New teams are currently being formed, and new interceptor operators are being trained.

Rescuers from the State Emergency Service (DSNS) removed the warhead of a Russian Kh-101 missile from a field in the Kyiv region. Specialists from the DSNS Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Center transported it for safe disposal.

Restoration continues in the Kyiv region on a building for 216 residents in the village of Borodianka at 1 Parkova Street. The five-story building was damaged by a blast wave in March 2022. The apartment doors were broken by Russian troops. The restoration is part of an experimental project to rebuild settlements affected by Russia’s armed aggression.

The Ukrainian Women’s Guard conducted training for students in grades 1 through 9 at the Mirchansk Gymnasium as part of the project “Mine Safety: Saved Lives.” The training was held in the format of quizzes, riddles, thought-provoking questions, and active discussions of real-life situations.

The first competitions within the “MVS Unbreakable” project took place in Kyiv. Around 40 athletes, including employees and veterans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system, participated in the event.

The investigative film “Bucha. The Murder of Self-Defender Pobigay” about the mass killings in Bucha won the gold award at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards in the Human Rights category. This is the second part of journalist Dmytro Dzhulay’s investigation into the mass killings in Bucha during the Russian occupation at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The film thoroughly examines the circumstances of the shootings and names the Russian military personnel allegedly involved in the execution of local self-defender Oleksiy Pobigay.

Zhytomyr oblast

On May 28, in Korostyshev, three children from one family were buried. They died during the night of May 25 as a result of a combined attack by the Russian army. The community said farewell to 17-year-old Roman, 12-year-old Tamara, and 8-year-old Stanislav Martynyuk. The farewell ceremony took place at the local cultural center.

In the Zhytomyr region, as a result of shelling carried out by the Russian army on April 24 and 27, 2025, environmental damage amounting to over 4 million hryvnias was caused. The damage resulted from pollutant emissions into the atmosphere due to fires triggered by Russian shelling of several communities. This was reported by the State Environmental Inspectorate of the Polissia district. The greatest damage occurred on April 24 due to shell impacts in the territory of the Pulyne community. On the same day, strikes were also recorded in two communities of Berdychiv district — Hryshkivtsi and Ruzhyn, and on April 27 the Russian military shelled Zhytomyr.

Another batch of aid was provided by Zhytomyr region to Ukrainian defenders thanks to cooperation with responsible local businesses, the Regional Military Administration reported. 105 Mavic-type drones were handed over.

Sumy oblast

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that a 74-year-old woman was killed in an airstrike on Esman community. Her body was recovered from the rubble of a destroyed house. The enemy targeted the area by guided aerial bombs.

On the evening of 27 May, russian forces attacked Bilopillia community using drones. A fire broke out in one of the houses, prompting emergency responders to arrive quickly and begin extinguishing it. However, the occupiers launched a second strike. Only in the morning did the security situation allow responders to return and complete the cleanup efforts

Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that over the past day, nine people were injured as a result of enemy attacks. In Yunakivka community, four people were wounded by guided aerial bomb strikes. In Okhtyrka community, three civilians — including one child — were injured by similar strikes. In Krasnopillia community, two individuals were wounded in a drone attack.

Over the course of a day, from the morning of 27 May to the morning of 28 May, russian forces carried out nearly 70 attacks on 34 settlements across 13 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of strikes were recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy heavily used guided aerial bombs (about 20 strikes), multiple launch rocket systems (20 strikes), and drone-dropped explosive grenades (10 strikes). Additionally, russian forces launched UAV and FPV-drone attacks across Sumy Oblast.

As a result of russian strikes over the past day, several sites in the oblast have been damaged:

  • A civilian infrastructure facility in Bilopillia community.
  • A private residential home in Berezivka community.
  • In Okhtyrka community: a civilian infrastructure facility, two private cars, a residential house, and non-residential premises.

According to the Regional Military Administration, evacuations from frontline territories are ongoing. In total, civilians are being evacuated from 202 settlements in the oblast that are at risk of shelling. Over the past four days, more than 500 people have been evacuated.

Over the past day, local authorities, in coordination with units from the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organizations from border communities, evacuated 87 people.

Chernihiv oblast

Serhii Dedenko, Mayor of Semenivka, said that overnight on 28 May, russian forces destroyed a children’s sports recreation facility near the border in Chernihiv oblast. The site was a private institution located in the of Zaliznyi Mist village.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration informed that during the day on 27 May, russian forces launched mortar and FPV-drone strikes on an agricultural enterprise in Novhorod-Siverskyi community. Three workers sustained minor injuries and received medical assistance on-site. A combine harvester and a tractor were also damaged, but the fire was extinguished.

Several explosions occurred yesterday in Nizhyn region, damaging an agricultural enterprise. A tractor operator was severely injured and hospitalized in critical condition in Nizhyn. Additionally, on the evening of 27 May, the enemy struck the outskirts of Nizhyn, causing damage to a business facility.

According to the “North” Operational Command, on 27 May, russian forces launched a missile strike on Hluzdy village in Kulykivka community,.

Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that on 27 May, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (17 explosions) and artillery strikes (30 explosions), launched FPV-drone attacks (15 strikes), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (12 explosions). In total, ten villages came under fire. As a result of an explosive device dropped from a UAV on Hremiach village in Novhorod-Siverskyi community, a non-residential building caught fire.

The Department of Education and Science of Chernihiv Regional State Administration announced that three diesel generators and two boilers were provided to educational institutions in Chernihiv oblast as part of humanitarian aid from Slovakia. The equipment will be distributed among four communities in the oblast.

The “Sviy Dim” platform has released a documentary special project titled Novoselivka: The Story of Lost Homes During the Defense of Chernihiv. It is a series of seven video stories about residents of the village who lost their homes due to russia’s full-scale invasion but chose to remain on their native land.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The Air Armed forces were working late in the evening. The defenders of the sky shot down one enemy UAV over the oblast. 

In the evening, the occupiers attacked Malomykhailivka community of Sinelnikove region with anti-aircraft missiles. They also fired from artillery and launched a kamikaze drone at Marhanets community of Nikopol region. 

During the day, the occupiers attacked Nikopol region about a dozen times. They used drones and artillery. They targeted the district centre, Marhanets and Pokrovsk communities. In Nikopol, a 78-year-old woman was injured by a drone strike. She will be treated at home. A private house was damaged. According to updated information, a drone strike on Marhanets community in the morning damaged an outbuilding. The enemy also attacked the Mezhove community of the Synelnykove region with a drone. A fire broke out.

Vinnytsia oblast

​It became known that ten defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were killed. In particular, Komisarchuk Oleksandr, Rakhnyansky Mykola, Yurchenko Ruslan, Levkopas Serhiy, Yurchenko Serhiy, Provorotsky Volodymyr, Derkach Oleksandr, Bratitsel Yevhen, Zdesenko Vitaliy and Shpira Mykhailo.

Sergey Morgunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, reported that Vinnytsia Lyceum No. 35 handed over another frontline vehicle to the defenders of the Chervona Kalyna Brigade. The vehicle was purchased through a charity fair organised by primary school students with their parents and teachers. 

Kirovohrad oblast

One of the industrial enterprises in Svitlovodsk was attacked. The fire was contained. Also, 76 private houses and one 9-storey residential building were damaged. 

Of the three people injured in the night attack, two were hospitalised. Currently, more than 1,400 customers are without electricity.

Two defenders of Ukraine were buried in Kirovograd oblast. Oleksiy Anupriyenko was buried in Oleksandrivka and Yuriy Andriychuk in Adzhamka. Soldiers were killed in Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts.

Poltava oblast

Volodymyr Kohut, Head if Poltava RMA, reported that during the night air raid in Poltava oblast, the Air defence systems were operating and sounds similar to explosions were heard. There were no casualties. 

In Poltava, the family said goodbye to Ihor Pokhyl, who died after engineering work at the position. The soldier died on 9 May 2025. It happened in Donetsk oblast during a combat mission, after performing engineering work at a reserve firing position.

On 24 May, Valerii Steshenko from Myrhorod region was killed by a russian drone strike near Kostiantynivka. He was 36 years old.

Two rescuers from Poltava region received state awards. They are Viktor Sirenko and Igor Demyanets, both of whom work at the main department of the State Emergency Service.

Cherkasy oblast

On 24 May, Mykhailo Liutov was killed near Kostiantynivka in Donetsk oblast as a result of a russian drone strike. A three-day mourning period was announced in Shpolyansk community.

In Cherkasy, people said goodbye to the fallen defender Dmytro Lytvynenko, whose body was evacuated from the battlefield after search operations. It has been established that Dmytro was killed in the eastern direction as a result of a drone strike. And Vasyl Temchenko, who was a cadet at the Main Training Centre of the State Tax Service of Ukraine named after Major General Igor Momot. Vasyl’s heart suddenly stopped.

Volodymyr Zelenskyi posthumously awarded Anton Romaniuk, a serviceman from Cherkasy region, with the Order “For Courage” of the III degree. 

The chaplaincy service of the Cherkasy 118th Brigade of the Territorial Defence Forces has been organising a ten-day camp for children of servicemen for the second year in a row as part of the Children of Defenders project. Last year, 250 children were involved in the camp.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Over the past day, 27 May, the occupiers carried out 329 attacks on 10 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy conducted 5 airstrikes on Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Huliaipole, and Shcherbaky. 161 UAVs of various modifications (mostly FPV) attacked Lobkove, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. Six MLRS strikes hit Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodarivka. There were 157 artillery strikes on Bilenke, Kamianske, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. Thirteen reports were received about damage to apartments, private houses, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities. A 17-year-old boy was injured during an enemy attack on Polohy region.

It is reported that Defense Forces repelled four enemy attacks towards Orikhiv. The enemy attempted to advance near the settlements of Shcherbaky, Stepove, Novodanylivka, and Robotyne. Over the past day, 27 May, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11 russian attacks towards Orikhiv.

Mykolaiv oblast

Today, the russians shelled Kutsurub community. As a result of the attack, dry grass and the roof of an inhabited house caught fire. Firefighters from the 22nd State Fire and Rescue Unit extinguished the fires, which covered a total area of 1,000 square meters.

During the night of 28 May, air defense forces destroyed 12 Shahed 131/136-type UAVs over Mykolaiv oblast.

At 00:05 on 28 May, the enemy attacked Halytsynove community with an FPV drone. A child was injured, and two private houses and three vehicles were damaged in the village of Lupareve. Also at 02:00 that night, the enemy attacked the city of Ochakiv. A recreational facility was destroyed due to the missile strike.

From 01:06 to 01:18 on 28 May, the enemy attacked Snihurivka community with Shahed 131/136-type UAVs. As a result of the attack, one non-residential building, two residential houses, and power lines were damaged in the village of Vasylivka. Two hundred customers were left without electricity, but the power supply has almost been fully restored.

Odesa oblast

During the night of 28 May, russian forces attacked Izmail region with kamikaze drones. The strike targeted the islands of the Danube Delta near the city of Vylkove. Most of the drones were shot down by air defense outside populated areas. There were no injuries or damage to infrastructure or buildings as a result of the attack.

As of 6:00 am on 26 May, 3 enemy ships were stationed in the Mediterranean Sea, including 1 carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 8 missiles.

Over the past day, 5 vessels passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea in russia’s interests, while 5 more ships entered the Sea of Azov.

Kherson oblast

Around 1:00 p.m., russian forces shelled a healthcare facility in Bilozerka with artillery. As a result of the attack, windows were shattered, the facade and roof were damaged, and two vehicles were affected.

A resident was injured in the shelling of Bilozerka. He sustained a blast injury, concussion, and shrapnel wounds to his leg.

This morning, russian troops shelled Antonivka. A 60-year-old woman suffered a mine-blast injury, shrapnel wounds to her chest, arms, and legs, and a fractured shoulder. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

A 74-year-old man from Kherson also sought medical help after being injured in yesterday’s shelling of Antonivka.

A resident of Komyshany sought hospital care after being injured in yesterday’s shelling. The 47-year-old woman was diagnosed with a mine-blast injury, acute stress reaction, and hypertensive crisis.

Another woman from Komyshany also needed medical attention due to injuries sustained in the same shelling. She had a blast injury and a concussion.

A man injured during the shelling of Kherson on 26 May was also hospitalized. The 43-year-old resident suffered a blast injury and concussion.

Yesterday, russians attacked Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Burhunka, Veletenske, Vesele, Dniprovske, Dudchany, Zolota Balka, Kizomys, Kostyrka, Komyshany, Lvove, Mykilske, Mykolaivka, Monastyrske, Odradokamianka, Olhivka, Osokorivka, Poniativka, Prydniprovske, Rozlyv, Sadove, Sofiivka, Stanislav, Tokarivka, Tomaryne, Tyahynka, Chervonyi Maiak, Shliakhove, and the city of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, 2 apartment buildings, 10 private homes, a garage, and a private car were damaged. 13 people were injured due to Russian aggression.

The Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine continue targeting enemy positions, firing positions, and rear logistics. Over the past day, russian losses amounted to 85 personnel, 6 artillery systems, 7 vehicles, 3 reconnaissance UAVs (“Zala”, “Supercam”), 1 electronic warfare system, 5 boats, 3 motorcycles, 5 communication antennas, 1 surveillance camera, and 1 drone storage site. Additionally, 38 shelters/dugouts and 3 observation posts were destroyed.

The mobile medical team “Casers” assisted over 400 residents of Kherson oblast. Doctors worked in five settlements — Borozenske, Lymantsi, Kalynivske, Davydiv Brid, and Stiike. The team, including an ultrasound specialist and an ophthalmologist, examined both adults and children.

The World Central Kitchen charitable foundation delivered over 460 food packages to residents of Tiahynka community. Each package included flour, pasta, grains, canned goods, and other essential food items. Volunteers also delivered flashlights to residents of Lvove and Burhunka.

Volyn oblast

Projector Foundation, the Algorithm of Actions platform and the center for the development of creative industries Abo Abo announced the launch of the Identities project, which provides free training for military personnel from the oblast. The program provides scholarships for training in creative fields for military personnel, veterans and their partners living in Lutsk or Volyn oblast.

Zakarpattia oblast

In the oblast, wounded military personnel and people with disabilities can receive rehabilitation aids free of charge. These needs are fully covered by the state program. Since the beginning of the year, over 2,000 such aids have already been issued – from orthopedic shoes to electric scooters and innovative prostheses.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The 52nd Rifle Battalion received 6 modern DJI Mavic 3 Thermal quadcopters with night vision were transferred, which are capable of detecting the enemy even in complete darkness worth almost UAH 1.3m, which was allocated from the regional budget as part of programs to support military formations in the Carpathian region.

Lviv oblast

A prefabricated frame apartment building for internally displaced persons has been built in Drohobych. It was built using Canadian wooden house construction technology, which helps significantly increase the energy efficiency and environmental friendliness of housing.

The RMA reported that 22 soldiers of the Western Operational Territorial Unit of the National Guard of Ukraine received high state awards (posthumously).

Memorial plaques in honor of 4 fallen Defenders were unveiled in Strii region.The memorial signs were installed at Zhydachiv Secondary Education Institution №2, where fallen defenders studied. The opening ceremony was attended by relatives, friends and relatives of soldiers, representatives of local authorities, the public, as well as students and teachers of the educational institution.

Rivne oblast

A child was born in Rivne, conceived after the death of his military father. The boy’s mother was able to become pregnant through in vitro fertilization.

Ternopil oblast

78 soldiers from Ternopil will receive a one-time cash grant to provide them with equipment and technical means. 2,026 defenders have already received such assistance since the beginning of the year,

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community 1st sent 13-inch fiber-optic drones to the army, 60 powerful FPV drones, 13-inch, fiber-optic, with a reinforced battery for over UAH 3.2m.

Chernivtsi oblast

A military-patriotic training was held in Chahorsk community for boys and girls aged 14 and over. During the day, participants mastered the basics of combat tactics, marksmanship, rules for handling weapons, tactical movement skills in wartime, elements of tactical medicine, the basics of self-defense, mine and explosive safety, drone control, terrain orientation, etc. The classes were conducted by experienced instructors – participants in the hostilities in the russian-Ukrainian war.

Germany announced a €5bn military aid package.

  • Germany will finance the purchase of Ukrainian long-range weapons worth hundreds of millions of euros.
  • A contract has been signed with Diehl Defence for the production of IRIS-T systems and missiles for them. The total value of the contract is €2.2bn.
  • Germany will finance the purchase of Ukrainian-made medical equipment.
  • Germany has pledged to support investments in the Ukrainian defense industry and to encourage others to do so in air defense.

The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry handed a note of protest to a representative of the russian Embassy over the country’s war crimes. The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry stressed that these attacks result in the death and serious injury of civilians, including children, and the destruction of civilian infrastructure.
