The invaders continue to strike settlements in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions. Artillery strikes hit the settlements of Bleshnya, Ulanove, Bila Bereza, Khodyne, Malushyne, Nova Sloboda, Oleksandrivka, Porozok, Striletska Pushkarka, and Dmytrivka. Airstrikes targeted the areas of Myropilske, Prokhody, Uhroiydy, Krasnopillia, and Khmelivka.
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy carried out four assault operations toward Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched 25 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Stepova Novoselivka, Zahryzove, and in the directions of Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Bohuslavka, with 19 engagements still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivsk sector, Ukrainian defenders are repelling 13 enemy attacks near Kostyantynopil, Rozlyv, Skudne, Dniproenerhiya, and Burlatske.
In the Hulyaipole sector, the enemy launched eight assault operations near Pryvilne, Novosilka, and toward Vilne Pole. Airstrikes targeted the settlements of Shevchenko, Novodarivka, Novopil, and Hulyaipole.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Defense Forces successfully stopped four enemy attacks. The invaders attempted to advance toward Shcherbaky, Lobkove, and Kamianske.

In the Kursk sector, eight combat engagements occurred today, with one still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy carried out 12 airstrikes, dropped 14 guided bombs, and launched 237 artillery strikes, including nine using multiple rocket launch systems.
As a result of a Russian strike on central Kherson, two people were killed, according to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office. Five others sustained varying degrees of injuries, including an ambulance crew evacuating a wounded person during a repeated Russian attack.
Once again, the Russian Ministry of Defense has spread false information about alleged Ukrainian strikes on energy facilities. The General Staff has confirmed that this information is not true.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
In the Kupiansk direction, 19 combat engagements are ongoing, with Russian units launching 25 attacks since the beginning of the day, according to the General Staff’s update as of 16:00. The attacks occurred in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Zahryzove, and towards Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Bohuslavka. Russian forces also carried out four assault operations near Vovchansk.
Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy assaults near Vovchansk in the Kharkiv direction yesterday, according to the Regional Military Administration.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted four times to push Ukrainian units from their positions near Holubivka and Zahryzove. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
Shelling
The occupiers dropped an explosive device from a drone onto a civilian car in the village of Svitlychne, Zolochiv community. A 58-year-old and a 39-year-old man sustained explosive injuries of varying severity and were taken to the hospital.
Around 11:35, the Russian army attacked Slatyne with a drone, according to Vyacheslav Zadorenko, head of the Derhachi Military Administration. He reported that the strike hit an open area in a residential sector. No information on casualties has been received so far.

At night, the Kyivskyi and Slobidskyi districts of Kharkiv were under Russian attacks. 13 people were injured, including 2 children. As a result of the strike, at least 29 buildings were damaged. In particular, nearly 1,000 windows were shattered in apartments, and another 134 in common areas.

In Zolochiv, three people were injured in a drone strike, and five others experienced severe stress reactions. A residential building was completely destroyed, and at least 15 houses were damaged. Overall, there were two drone strikes in Zolochiv in the evening, with the second strike hitting near the stadium, damaging sports facilities and an administrative building.
At 22:25, a hit, likely from a “Geran-2” drone, occurred in Kharkiv, damaging about four private houses. A woman was injured.
At 21:37, a “Shahed” drone strike in Kharkiv caused two cars, a trailer home, and firewood to catch fire.
At 21:30, a “Shahed” drone attack in Kharkiv caused a warehouse building, covering an area of 2500 m², to catch fire. Four people were injured.
At 21:26, a drone strike hit the ground in Kharkiv, damaging the windows of a residential building. A 79-year-old woman was injured.
At 21:10, a “Geran-2” drone strike hit an open area in Kharkiv.
At 20:55, a “Shahed” drone attack in Kharkiv caused insulation and roofing of a metalworking workshop, covering an area of 50 m², to catch fire.
At 20:52, a “Shahed” drone strike in Kharkiv ignited a vegetable warehouse and damaged four private homes and two cars. A 15-year-old boy, a 6-year-old child, a man, and a woman were injured.
At 20:49, a “Geran-2” drone strike hit a residential building’s facade and three cars in Kharkiv. Two women and a man were injured. At 20:45, in the Bohodukhiv district, Zolochiv community, Zolochiv village, a “Shahed” drone strike set household items and a gas pipe on fire in an area of 5 m². Eight people were injured, including a child.
At 17:20, in the Izium district, Borivska community, Borova village, a probable FPV drone strike hit an open area, injuring a 42-year-old man who was hospitalized.
At 14:06, in the Kharkiv district, Derhachi community, Kozacha Lopan village, a possible drone strike damaged a residential house.
At 11:47, in the Izium district, Borivska community, Borova village, a possible “Molniya” drone hit an open area.
At 10:02, in the Kharkiv district, Pisochyn community, Novyi Korytych village, a “Shahed” drone strike damaged the roof, windows, and doors of a shelter for animals.
At 05:43, in the Izium district, Borivska community, Borova village, an attack, likely from a multiple rocket launcher (MRL), set a private house on fire in an area of 18 m². A 54-year-old woman was injured, suffering a shrapnel wound to her head.

Other
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Espen Barth Eide, and the Minister for Labour and Integration, Tonje Brenna, visited the Kharkiv region. During their meeting, they surveyed the scale of destruction of multi-apartment residential buildings and critically important social infrastructure facilities in Kharkiv. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the city has suffered devastating Russian strikes. To date, 77,600 civilian objects have been destroyed and damaged.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
The Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a Russian assault using cars and motorcycles in the Severodonetsk direction on March 26, according to the spokesperson of the Joint Forces Task Group “Luhansk,” Dmytro Zaporizhets.
The situation in the city of Pokrovsk itself is stable. Russia is attempting to cut off the Pokrovsk — Konstantinivka highway, as reported by the spokesperson of the Operational Strategic Group of Forces “Khortytsia,” Viktor Trehubov.
The Defense Forces stopped 88 Russian attacks in a day in the Pokrovsk direction in the areas of the settlements of Oleksandropil, Tarasivka, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Kotlyne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, and towards the settlements of Preobrazhenka, Pokrovsk, Promin, Virdrozhennya, and Novosergiyivka, the General Staff reported.
In the Novopavlivsk direction, the Russian army carried out 25 attacks towards the settlements of Rozliv, Vesele, as well as near Konstantynopil and Skudny.
Shelling
The enemy carried out 3,779 hostile strikes along the front line and on residential areas, according to the police. Six settlements were under fire: the cities of Kramatorsk, Lyman, Pokrovsk, and the villages of Zeleny Hay, Zorya, and Ivanopillya. 22 residential buildings were damaged.

In Pokrovsk, a civilian was injured as a result of a hostile drone attack.
The occupiers struck Ivanopillya with a FAB-250 bomb and artillery, injuring a civilian and damaging 6 private houses.
There is one wounded person in the village of Zeleny Hay, Komarska community, after Russian forces dropped a UMPTB D-30SN bomb. A private house was damaged.
Kramatorsk was attacked by a “Molniya-2” UAV, causing damage to an apartment building and three private houses.
In Zorya, Illinivska community, Russian forces dropped a FAB-250 bomb, damaging three apartment buildings and eight private houses.
Additionally, information has been confirmed about a civilian injured in Pokrovsk on March 25, in the Southern district.
Other
Another 11 people, including one child, were evacuated by the “White Angels” from the Komarska community in the Volnovakha district, according to the Volnovakha RDA.
Luhansk oblast
Over the past day, Russian forces used artillery 15 times to support their offensive actions. On the Siverskyi direction alone, 11 attacks were recorded, including in the Bilohorivka area, where Ukrainian units continue to hold the defense. The enemy launched 261 UAVs towards Ukrainian positions and settlements along the line of contact.
Due to the mass departure of civilians from temporarily occupied Sievierodonetsk, Russian occupation administrations are forced to implement the “Country Doctor” program to attract medical workers from Russian regions. The only doctor who agreed to work in the city is Dzhanbulat Aliyevich Bakayev, who received his medical education less than three years ago.
Mobile communication and the internet in Sievierodonetsk remain disconnected by the occupying authorities. Landline communication is limited – calls outside the city are impossible. To contact relatives or resolve urgent matters, local residents have to travel at least 15 km to settlements where mobile communication is available.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The KCMA reported that over the past day, air alert in the capital was activated once. About 10 enemy UAVs were spotted in the vicinity of the capital. The aerial targets did not reach the city – they were destroyed by air defence systems or locally lost.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko announced that the capital’s community had handed over another batch of aid to the defenders. Another 400 night FPV drones have been sent to the hottest spots of the frontline for the soldiers of the 47th separate mechanised brigade ‘Magura’.
Kyiv Regional Military Administration announced that social housing for IDPs will be built in the Kyiv oblast according to a memorandum signed by Vasylkiv and Mariupol. Vasylkiv plans to build a neighbourhood to house 3,000 internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied Mariupol community.
es of temporary accommodation for internally displaced persons are operating in Kyiv oblast. There are 17 modular towns that can accommodate a total of 8,472 people. More are planned: 150 apartments in Slavutych (with the support of UNHCR), 43 apartments in Pereyaslav (with the support of UNHCR and ROKADA), 4 houses with 160 apartments in Buchansky district for 400 IDPs, Hansen’s Town 2 in Tarasivka (546 apartments), Miracle Town 2 in Kolonchina (124 apartments for the elderly).
In Kyiv, Dmytro Bendikov, a media and serviceman from Luhansk oblast, was honoured with a final tribute. He worked as an editor-in-chief at TSN.ua and managed news feeds at RBC-Ukraine, Dengi and Realist. In July 2024, Dmytro joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, served in the Third Separate Assault Brigade, and was a ground drone operator. On 18 March, ‘Ben’ was killed during a combat mission. The Hero was buried on the Alley of Glory.
The Kyiv City State Administration announced that an educational fair is being organised in Kyiv for veterans and their families. At the event, they can learn about preferential admission conditions, retraining opportunities, free education at a number of faculties of state and municipal institutions, and courses offered by NGOs and international benefactors. The fair is scheduled to take place on 28 March at Vcentri HUB: Dniprovskyi.
A rally of relatives of prisoners of war held in Chechnya was organised in front of the Verkhovna Rada in Kyiv. The protesters said that information about their relatives is almost absent. They learn that the military are in Chechen captivity from public media and Telegram channels. The protesters’ demand is to intensify efforts to return Ukrainian prisoners from Chechnya.
Zhytomyr oblast
Vitalii Bunechko, head of Zhytomyr Regional Administration, informed that during a meeting with an expanded delegation of partners from Estonia, Estonia would help build an apartment building for internally displaced persons in Zhytomyr oblast. During the meeting, the parties discussed new projects for the current and next year and signed a memorandum with the Estonian Centre for International Cooperation (ESTDEV) and the Brusyliv community.
The Baranivka City Council reported that this week, the ‘Defence of Ukraine’ centre was opened at the Baranivka Lyceum No. 1 for students in grades 10-11. For the convenience of studying, transportation of students from Porcelain, Kashperivka and Polianka lyceums will be provided. Hot meals to all students are also included.
Sumy oblast
The City Military Administration reported that during the day on 27 March, the russian army struck one of the starosta districts of Sumy territorial community by a drone. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. Vehicles and private houses were damaged.
Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that on 27 March, at approximately 03:50ma, russian forces dropped two guided aerial bombs on one of the streets in Krasnopillia. As a result of the russian strike, a private house was destroyed. The owner was rescued from under the rubble. The 57-year-old man sustained injuries and was hospitalised.

Artem Semenikhin, Mayor of Konotop, said that in the evening of 26 March, russian forces struck the civilian infrastructure of Konotop community. Preliminary reports indicate one civilian man was injured.
According to the Regional Military Administration, as a result of strikes by five drones on Bezdytk community, a fire broke out in a non-residential building.
Popivka community was attacked by russian UAVs, with four strikes reported. As a result, non-residential premises were damaged. According to Artem Semenikhin, Mayor of Konotop, the incident occurred in the village of Taranske. While rescuers and medics were working at the strike site, the russian army launched a repeat attack.
The Regional Military Administration reported that during the night and morning, russian forces carried out 48 shellings of border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast. A total of 99 explosions were recorded. The shellings affected Bezdyk, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Popivka, and Esman communities.
Over the past day, 26 March, russian forces carried out 74 shellings in Sumy oblast, with a total of 218 strikes recorded. The enemy used mortars (52 explosions), MLRS (60 explosions), artillery (48 explosions), grenade launchers (5 explosions), FPV-drone attacks (23 explosions), launched GABs (7 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (23 explosions). Ten communities came under enemy fire: Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Slobidka, Esman, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda.
Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that as a result of russian shelling on 26 March in Krasnopillia community, two people were injured. In the Nova Slobidka community, a residential building was damaged by an FPV-drone strike.
In Sumy, emergency workers have completed restoration efforts following the russian strike on 24 March. According to the City Council, 110 injured individuals — 86 adults and 24 children — have sought medical assistance since the attack. Damage has been recorded to 85 buildings: 12 non-residential, 36 apartment buildings, and 37 private homes. Workers from the State Emergency Service, municipal enterprises, and public organisations have already sealed 1,340 windows and repaired roofs covering a total area of 240 square metres. Police reports indicate damage to 11 vehicles.
On 26 March, Trostianets community marked the third anniversary of liberation from russian occupation. Residents of the city honoured the bravery of the liberators and commemorated the memory of 28 people who died as a result of enemy actions during the occupation.
Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that during the day on 26 March, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Horodnia. The enemy carried out shelling by mortars (2 explosions) and barrel artillery (8 explosions), and launched FPV-drone strikes (10 explosions). Nine settlements came under enemy fire.
On 26 March, two strikes by FPV-type drones were carried out by the enemy on Semenivka. As a result of the attack, an industrial facility was damaged. According to the Department of Civil Protection and Defence Work of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the explosion damaged the roof of a sawmill workshop and equipment, and a fire broke out in the remnants of lumber on open ground.
The Department of Civil Protection and Defence Work informed that during the day on 26 March, four explosions were recorded in Chernihiv oblast as a result of UAV crashes and their debris. The enemy forces struck Korukivka region by a ‘Lancet’ UAV. In Pryluky region, three explosions were recorded due to the fall of debris from ‘Shahed/Herbera’ type UAVs.
According to Operational Command ‘North,’ as a result of enemy strikes in Pryluky, an enterprise was damaged.
Over the past day, in Chernihiv oblast, where active combat operations previously took place, bomb disposal experts and sappers from the State Emergency Service discovered and neutralised three explosive devices. Among them was a warhead from a ‘Uragan’ multiple rocket launcher system. According to the State Emergency Service, since the beginning of hostilities in the region, bomb disposal experts have discovered and neutralised a total of 54,907 explosive devices.
Chernihiv Regional Military Administration announced that in Chernihiv Vocational Lyceum of Railway Transport, a shelter has been renovated as part of the Ukrainian-Swiss EdUP project. The shelter, located in the lyceum’s dormitory, will serve not only as a safe refuge during air raid alerts but also as a modern learning zone.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the RMA,reported that late at night, the enemy launched a massive drone attack on the oblast. Several fires broke out in Dnipro. 3 people were injured: a 48-year-old man and 2 women aged 75 and 78. An infrastructure facility, enterprises, apartment buildings and a residential complex were damaged. Also, educational and cultural institutions were affected. Around 70 cars and 2 trucks were either destroyed or damaged. From the evening until morning, the occupiers continued shelling Nikopol region by artillery and kamikaze drones, targeting the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Pokrov communities. In the morning, a 30-year-old woman was injured in an artillery attack on Chervonohryhorivka community. She will be treated at home. An apartment building, a private house, infrastructure, a gas station and 4 cars were damaged.
Today, 2 regions of the oblast – Nikopol and Synelnykove – came under attack. In the morning, the occupiers struck Mezhova community in Synelnykove region by a drone, setting fire to the roof of a private house. The enemy hit Velykomykhailivka community, causing another fire and damaging 4 private houses.
During the day, russian forces attacked Nikopol region nearly 30 times, targeting the regional centre, Marhanets, Myrove, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrov communities. A 37-year-old man was injured and received all necessary medical assistance. The attacks damaged 5 private houses, a stadium, a greenhouse, garages, an administrative building, a canopy, cars, a power line and a gas pipeline.

Vinnytsia oblast
In Vinnytsia oblast, the public organisation Molfar organised a Cossack military-patriotic camp for school children. Veterans and military personnel taught children archery, knife throwing, obstacle course navigation and weapon assembly.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, said that during the night, air defence was active over Kirovohrad oblast.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that a fire broke out at an infrastructure facility and in summer houses as a result of russian shelling of Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding regions. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries. Updated information confirms that a house in Kushuhum and a summer house in Zaporizhzhia were destroyed due to the attack.
The russian forces carried out more than 10 strikes on one of the frontline communities in the oblast.
Residential buildings, fences and non-residential structures were damaged. There were no casualties reported. One of the frontline communities remains without electricity and communication following the night shelling.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 27 March, the Defence Forces repelled 4 russian attacks in Orikhiv region. The russian military attempted to advance toward Shcherbaky, Lobkove and Kamianske.
On 26 March, the Defence Forces repelled 16 russian attacks in Hulyaipole region, with combat engagements taking place near Rivnopil, Novosilka, Pryvilne, Vilne Pole and Novopil.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 26 March, the russian military carried out 400 strikes on 12 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast, including 253 drone attacks on Kamianske, Prymorske, Hulyaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne and Novodarivka.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to the RMA, during the night of 27 March, air defence forces destroyed 2 Shahed 131/136 drones over Mykolaiv oblast.
On 26 March, russian forces twice attacked Kutsurub community by FPV drones. As a result, a house in Parutyne village was damaged. There were no casualties reported. Also, the waters of Ochakiv community came under FPV drone attacks twice.
Odesa oblast
Based on the information provided by the Ukrainian Navy, as of the morning of 27 March, russia has deployed one warship to combat duty in the Black Sea. This ship is armed with Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 4 missiles. No russian ships are present in the Sea of Azov.
Kherson oblast
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that during the day, the centre of Kherson came under heavy russian shelling. The attack lasted for about an hour and a half. Currently, it is known that 2 people were killed and 5 injured, including 2 medics. The shelling damaged the railway station building and apartment buildings. As a result, part of Kherson was left without electricity. The russian forces attacked an ambulance crew evacuating a wounded person. A paramedic and the driver sustained blast injuries and concussions. The 59-year-old man being transported to the hospital was injured, suffering a concussion, blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to the abdomen.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, a train car from train No.110 Kherson–Lviv was damaged in the russian shelling. Passengers and railway staff were in a shelter and were unharmed. The train departed with a delay of one and a half hours. The railway station building suffered broken windows, damaged electrical cables and a disrupted water supply system.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, said that in the morning, russian forces attacked an elderly woman in Korabelnyi district of Kherson by a drone. She was killed. A 59-year-old man was injured and was hospitalised with a blast injury and shrapnel wounds.
As reported by the RMA, in the morning, russian troops dropped an explosive device on an 82-year-old woman in Kherson. She sustained a blast injury, a concussion and a head wound.
Roman Mrochko, Head of the CMA, informed that during the massive shelling of central part of Kherson, a 56-year-old man was injured. He suffered a blast injury.
According to the State Emergency Service, due to russian shelling in Kherson oblast, 2 fires broke out. In Kherson, a gas pipeline caught fire and the flames spread to the roof of a house. Another house caught fire in the nearby town of Bilozirka. Despite ongoing shelling and drone attacks, firefighters managed to extinguish the fires.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, stated that during the day, russian forces shelled 30 settlements in Kherson oblast. An invincibility centre, a gas pipeline, 12 private houses and several vehicles were damaged. 5 people were injured.

Volyn oblast
The RMA held a meeting with representatives of business, public organizations and district administrations as part of the Dialogue Between the Government and Business initiative. They discussed an important and sensitive topic: the social responsibility of enterprises, the employment of IDPs, people with disabilities, and assistance to children of deceased servicemen from Volyn.

Rivne oblast
Rivne RMA held an online meeting with the co-organizer of prayer breakfasts in the US. They discussed the current situation in Ukraine, the challenges and the importance of spiritual support in times of trial.
Ternopil oblast
The military personnel of Ternopil community will receive a one-time cash assistance for treatment and rehabilitation of UAH 15,000. This year, funds have already been provided to 57 military personnel.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
10 communities of Khmelnytskyi oblast have joined the Side by Side: United Communities project. Now a total of 14 communities of the oblast are participating in the initiative. They will support outpost communities in Kharkiv, Kherson, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv and Sumy oblast.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA held a meeting with Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine. They discussed economic stability, the development of entrepreneurship despite the challenges of martial law, cooperation between the government and business in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, internally displaced persons, the implementation of important social projects and the overall development of the oblast.
9 children who need special attention and support went to the Artek international children’s center for rehabilitation. These are four children of combatants from Chernivtsi and Khotyn communities and 5 children deprived of parental care from Yurkovets community.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
France announced a new military aid package of €2bn. This support will meet the priority needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (anti-tank missiles, air defense systems, air defense missiles, etc.).
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the UK. They discussed the results of the leaders’ summit on support for Ukraine and security in Europe and held a meeting at the British Embassy in Paris.
A Ukrainian delegation has begun an advocacy visit to the UK as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative of the President of Ukraine. The aim of the visit is to strengthen cooperation between the countries to return Ukrainian children illegally deported by russia.
