In the Lyman direction, the Russian army attacked five times, including near Kopanky. Fighting in the area is still underway.
The day before, in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses four times near Vovchansk, Tykhe, and towards Kamianka.

Shelling
On the evening of March 25, a fragment of a “Geran-2” UAV struck an animal shelter in the Kharkiv district. The shelter houses 381 animals evacuated from combat zones, including Pokrovsk, Avdiivka, Vovchansk, and Kupiansk, according to Yaryna Vintoniuk, a communications officer at the “Animal Rescue Kharkiv” center.

At 10:48, Russian forces attacked Kupiansk district, Kupiansk city. As a result of the enemy shelling, a vehicle was damaged.
At 10:17, Russian forces attacked Kupiansk district, Velykoburlutska community, Stetskivka village. Preliminary reports indicate that a private house was damaged due to shelling, likely from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

As evacuation efforts intensified in the Kupiansk and Borova directions, 31 people were evacuated in the past 24 hours.

Donetsk oblast
Frontline
On the Pokrovsk direction, the number of attacks has increased to 69, compared to 53 the previous day. The Russian army attacked near the settlements of Sukha Balka, Kalynove, Oleksandropil, Zelenе Pole, Lysivka, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Shevchenko, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, Bohdanivka, and toward Novosergiivka, Malynivka, and Kotliarivka.
On the Toretsk direction, Russian forces carried out 26 attacks near Toretsk and close to Diliivka and Krymske.
On the Novopavlivka direction, there were 23 attacks near the settlements of Rozlyv, Dniproenerhiya, and Kostyantynopil.
Russian infantry on the Toretsk direction are using green tape to disguise themselves as Ukrainian Defense Forces. The Russian army aims to reach Kostyantynivka and advance further, according to Yevhen Alkhimov, press officer of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign.
Shelling
Russian forces launched two airstrikes with FAB-250 guided bombs on the Kostyantynivka community in Donetsk region, reported the head of the Military Administration, Serhii Horbunov. One strike hit the Novodmytrivka administrative district, damaging the facades of 30 private houses. Another airstrike hit the Ivanopil administrative district, damaging the facades of three private houses. No casualties or injuries were reported at the strike locations.
At 8:25 AM, Russian forces attacked the center of Kramatorsk with a drone, according to the head of the Military Administration, Oleksandr Honcharenko. No injuries were reported, but an apartment building was damaged.
At 11:18 AM, Kramatorsk was hit again—this time, a drone strike targeted a residential area, damaging three private houses.
Over the past 24 hours, police recorded 3,337 enemy attacks on the frontline and residential areas. Russian forces attacked seven settlements: the cities of Kostyantynivka, Lyman, Pokrovsk, the settlement of Kleban-Byk, and the villages of Kurtivka, Novopavlivka, and Pleshchiyivka.
A total of 77 civilian objects were damaged, including 65 residential houses.

Three FAB-250 bombs were dropped on Kurtivka, killing two civilians—a 36-year-old woman and her three-year-old daughter. The woman’s second daughter, 15 years old, was wounded. Ten private houses, a tractor, and a civilian car were damaged.
In Pokrovsk, one person was killed as Russian forces attacked the city with drones and artillery. One apartment building, two private houses, and a civilian vehicle were damaged.
In Pleshchiivka, the enemy struck with an FAB-250 bomb, injuring two residents and damaging four private houses and a power line.
Kostiantynivka endured ten Russian attacks, nine of which were bombings. Russian forces damaged 48 private houses, a car, three power lines, and a gas pipeline.
In Lyman, a Smerch MLRS strike damaged a non-residential building, while in Novopavlivka (Kramatorsk district), a Russian drone damaged an enterprise building.
Other
In Russia, 23 Ukrainian prisoners of war from the Azov Brigade have been sentenced to 13 to 23 years in a maximum-security colony.
Luhansk oblast
The invaders launched nearly 30 attacks in the Lyman and Siversk directions, particularly in Luhansk region near Nadiia and Bilohorivka. According to the regional administration, they used barrel artillery seven times and also fired multiple rocket launchers. Additionally, 242 drones were directed towards our defensive positions.
The so-called “Ministry of Construction and Housing of the LNR” claimed that the tariffs for servicing apartment buildings are twice as low as economically justified. Therefore, over the next three years, utility costs will rise by 25% annually. The primary reason for the increase was attributed to the population, with the payment discipline level being around 50%. In response, they promised to improve the quality of services.
Russia has prioritized demographic development in the LNR as part of its Family and Demographic Policy Strategy. The strategy will be implemented in two phases: from 2025 to 2030 and from 2031 to 2036. In addition to the occupied Donbas territories, regions with low birth rates and decreasing populations, such as the Far East and Arctic, have been identified. Among the planned actions over the next ten years, there will be public awards for large families, grandparents with many grandchildren, and great-grandparents with multiple great-grandchildren.

Kyiv oblast
The Regional Military Administration announced that the Kyiv oblast had donated military aid worth UAH 10 million to one of its units. In total, local budgets of the oblast allocated more than UAH 2.28 billion to support the Ukrainian Defence Forces last year. This year, this assistance is planned to be increased by UAH 500 million.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has served a notice of suspicion to a russian soldier who shot at a car with civilians in Katyuzhanka. Law enforcement officers identified the 27-year-old commander of a howitzer self-propelled artillery platoon of the 155th separate marine brigade of the russian Federation. According to the investigation, on 25 February 2022, at around 13:00, he and another serviceman shot a car with two civilians on the road with a machine gun. The man and woman died on the spot from their injuries.
The RMA informed that in Bucha, solar panels were installed on the building of primary school No. 11. The assistance was provided by the twin city of Bergisch Gladbach with the assistance of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The regional SES reported that rescuers from Kyiv oblast joined the implementation of the project ‘Supporting schools in Sumy oblast in improving the safety and psychological state of participants in the educational process’. The aim of the project is to increase the level of security in educational institutions, to help teachers and students properly respond to threats.
On 26 March, an illustrated book by Oleksandr Chudnovets and Andriy Bulavin about the destruction of the russian cruiser ‘Moskva’ by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was presented in Kyiv. The authors examined the combat capabilities of the missile ship, the details of the operation to destroy it and the damage sustained by the flagship of the russian fleet, and considered all versions of the destruction of the ‘Moskva’.
Zhytomyr oblast
The Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration announced that, together with the NGO ‘Important Actions’, it had donated a FIAT ambulance and an Iveco VM90 multi-purpose military vehicle for Ukrainian paratroopers.
An official meeting of the regional leadership and representatives of the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV) was held in Malin to launch the reconstruction of the Art Malin art school and the project to reform the content of education.
Sumy oblast
The State Border Guard Service reported that in recent days, the number of airstrikes on the border areas of Sumy oblast has increased, and the enemy has intensified the use of FPV-drones. Additionally, russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups (SRGs) are actively infiltrating the oblast. The russian forces are deploying small reconnaissance groups in Novenke and Zhuravka to enter Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian units are using all available weapons to eliminate the SRGs.
Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that during the night of 26 March, russians attacked Okhtyrka by three drones. As a result of the strikes, non-residential premises, two apartment buildings, four shops, an administrative building, nine utility structures, five cars, and 14 kiosks in the market area were damaged. Additionally, a fire broke out in one utility building. Emergency rescue services are working on-site.

During the night and morning, russian forces carried out 25 shellings of border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast. A total of 43 explosions were recorded. The shellings affected the Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Okhtyrka, and Esman communities.
In the skies over Sumy oblast, Ukrainian air defence forces shot down five enemy ‘Shaheds.
Over the past day, 25 March, russian forces carried out 44 shellings in Sumy oblast, with a total of 112 strikes recorded. The enemy used mortars (42 explosions), MLRS (20 explosions), artillery (9 explosions), FPV-drone attacks (3 explosions), launched GABs (21 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (7 explosions). Seven communities came under enemy fire: Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, and Seredyna-Buda.
According to Operational Command ‘North,’ as a result of russian shelling in Uhroidy on 25 March , approximately 30 private houses and power lines were damaged.
According to Sumy Regional Military Administration on March 26, in Krasnopillia community, mandatory evacuation has been announced for the villages of Osoiivka, Khmelivka, Vesele, and Lozove. Iryna Yukhta, Head of the village council, reported that as of 24 March, more than two thousand people had evacuated from the community.
Four energy workers from PJSC ‘Sumyoblenergo,’ who operate in the border communities of Sumy oblast: Myropillia, Hlukhiv, Velyka Pysarivka, and Nova Slobidka — have been awarded the ‘Order for Courage’ III degree.
Okhtyrka will receive support from Kremenchuk community in Poltava oblast, as well as Boryslav and Mostyska communities in Lviv oblast. A memorandum of cooperation was signed within the framework of the project ‘Side by Side. United Communities.’ The Kremenchuk community in Poltava oblast plans to assist with constructing a shelter at an Okhtyrka school and rebuilding a gymnasium that was recently damaged.
Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that on 25 March, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out shelling by mortars (23 explosions) and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (4 explosions). Five villages came under enemy fire.
Since the beginning of 2025, 733 people, including 382 children, have left their homes in the border Novhorod-Siverskyi region due to shelling. This refers to those who sought assistance from local government bodies.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, since the beginning of 2025, residents of Novhorod-Siverskyi region have submitted 87 applications regarding damaged housing and an additional 25 regarding destroyed homes.
In Chernihiv, a one-time financial aid payment from the city budget is planned for residents of apartment buildings whose flats have been destroyed or damaged due to attacks by russian forces since the beginning of 2025. This programme was approved at a meeting of the city’s executive committee on 24 March.
According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, in Chernihiv, plans are underway to set up 12 modular houses with the help and funding from Latvia. This announcement followed an online meeting of Ukrainian-Latvian intergovernmental commission on economic, industrial, scientific, and technical cooperation.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
12 enemy UAVs destroyed air defence forces over the oblast at night. There were hits. Several fires broke out in Kryvyi Rih. An enterprise, warehouses, an administrative building and 6 cars were damaged. There were no casualties. From evening until morning, the occupiers shelled Nikopol region with kamikaze drones and artillery. They targeted the region centre and the Marhanets community. In Nikopol, a company, 2 apartment buildings and a car were damaged in the night attacks. There were no casualties.
During the day, the enemy attacked Nikopol region about two dozen times. They used artillery and drones. In Nikopol, three men aged 33, 79 and 52 were injured by drone strikes. A 63-year-old man was also injured in the Pokrovsk community as a result of shelling. He was hospitalised in moderate condition. The occupants also targeted Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. Six private houses, an outbuilding, a shed, 5 greenhouses, a gym, a garage and a car, a power line and 2 gas pipelines were damaged. According to updated information, 8 more houses, 2 outbuildings, a shop, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged in Nikopol as a result of night and morning attacks.
Vinnytsia oblast
It became known that six defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were killed. They are Denis Karpenko, Sergey Tsymbalyuk, Sergey Popereli, Mikhail Nikitin, Leonid Broyak and Vladimir Kozhushka.
Serhiy Morgunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, reported that drones, an off-road vehicle and equipment were delivered to the military in the Vinnytsia oblast. In particular, the defenders received 200 FPV drones, an off-road vehicle, tablets, printers, laptops and body camera chargers.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andriy Raykovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, reported that Kirovohrad oblast has been on air alert for 8 hours. In the Mala Vyska community, fragments of a downed enemy drone damaged windows in a private household. There were no casualties.
Poltava oblast
Dmytro Regeta, a soldier from Mashivka community, died. On 30 September 2024, while performing a combat mission near the village of Mykhailivka, Donetsk oblast, he sustained life-threatening injuries.
Poltava City Council’s budget committee decided to allocate UAH 4 million to pay the residents of a dormitory destroyed by a rocket in village Suprunivka of Poltava community.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, reported that an infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of a drone attack in Cherkasy.
Four fallen defenders from Cherkasy oblast were honoured with awards. The families of the fallen soldiers received posthumous presidential decorations. Denys Korniienko, Oleksandr Holoborodko and Mykhailo Voloshchenko were posthumously awarded the Order for Courage, III class. Vasyl Budyak was posthumously awarded the medal “For Military Service to Ukraine”.

Yesterday, the occupiers carried out 356 attacks on 13 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted 24 airstrikes on Orikhiv, Mala Tokmachka, and Huliaipilske. 162 UAVs of various modifications attacked Zaporizhzhia, Malokaterynivka, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. 8 MLRS strikes targeted Mahdalynivka, Stepnohirsk, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Novodarivka. Mykolaiv oblast
During the night of 26 March, air defense forces destroyed seven Shahed 131/136 drones in Mykolaiv oblast.
Yesterday, on 25 March, the enemy attacked the waters of Ochakiv community twice using FPV drones. There were no casualties.
On Wednesday, 26 March, in honor of National Guard Day of Ukraine, servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine were awarded in Mykolaiv for defending Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The guardsmen received honorary awards for their professionalism, courage, dedication, and conscientious fulfillment of duties, from the head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, “Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker” of the II and III degrees, as well as honorary certificates, letters of appreciation, and valuable gifts.

Odesa oblast
According to the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, 13 civilian sailors were killed by russian strikes since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Another 38 people were injured.
As of 6:00 am on 25 March, one enemy carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles was in the Black Sea, with a total salvo capacity of up to 4 missiles. There were four enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, including three carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 26 missiles.

Kherson oblast
At approximately 10:00 am, russian forces attacked a woman in Kherson using a drone. A 62-year-old resident suffered blast trauma, a concussion, and an arm injury.
Today, the occupiers dropped an explosive device from a drone onto a service vehicle of a state medical institution in Kherson, injuring the driver. The car sustained damage to its side window and roof.
A man injured the previous day in a russian shelling of Bilozerka sought medical attention. The 40-year-old resident was diagnosed with blast trauma and a concussion.
Medical assistance was also required for a resident of Zelenivka, who was injured the previous day due to russian shelling. The 67-year-old woman suffered blast trauma, a concussion, and an acute stress reaction.

The event was organized at the initiative of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to International Organizations in Vienna in cooperation with the delegations of Great Britain, Estonia and the Finnish Chairmanship of the OSCE.
Latvia has blocked access to 7 websites that spread russian propaganda. The Rada received a letter from another competent state institution stating that the content of these sites contains support and justification for the russian invasion of Ukraine.
