It has been the 1465  th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:

  The aggressor’s attempts to advance deep into the territory of Ukraine continue. In certain sectors of the front, the occupiers are conducting assault operations. The Defense Forces are holding back the enemy, inflicting significant losses. On 27 February, the number of aggressor attacks was 57.

Shelling of border areas continues. In Sumy oblast, the settlements of Malushyne, Bachivsk, Tovstodubove, Iskryskivshchyna, Dibrova, Kucherivka, Yastrubshchyna, Kysla Dubyna, Baranivka, Volfyne, Rohizne, Bezsalivka, and Buniachyne were affected. The enemy also shelled Khrinivka in Chernihiv oblast.

Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the enemy carried out 73 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops, 11 of which involved the use of MLRS.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the adversary attacked twice in the vicinity of the settlements of Vovchansk and Synelnykove. Currently, no enemy attempts to move forward are observed.

Towards Kupiansk, the adversary launched an attack once in the vicinity of Novoplatonivka.

Towards Lyman, Ukrainian warriors are repelling two attempts by the invaders to advance in the vicinity of Lyman and Drobysheve.

Towards Sloviansk, the occupiers tried five times to advance on the positions of Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Dronivka, Siversk, and Rai-Oleksandrivka. One attack is ongoing.

Towards Kramatorsk, the aggressor attacked once in the vicinity of Pleshchiivka.

Towards Kostiantynivka, the invaders carried out nine offensive actions near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Rusyn Yar, Pleshchiivka, and Popov Yar.

Towards Pokrovsk, the occupiers tried 15 times to push Ukrainian warriors from their positions in the in the vicinity of of the settlements of Dorozhnye, Bilytske, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Molodetske, and Novopidhorodne. One combat engagement is still ongoing.

Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy went on the offensive twice towards Zlahoda and Ternove. The vicinities of Havrylivka, Velykomykhailivka, and Levadne were hit by airstrikes.

Towards Huliaipole, there were 20 attacks in the vicinity of Huliaipole and Dobropillia, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Zelene, Varvarivka, and Huliaipilske. The enemy launched airstrikes in the in the vicinity of of Barvinivka, Kopani, Liubytske, Luhivske, and Huliaipilske. Five combat engagements are ongoing.

Towards Orikhiv, the occupiers did not conduct active offensive actions but launched airstrikes in the vicinity of the settlements of Blakytne, Preobrazhenka, Komyshuvakha, and Veselianka.

Towards Kherson, there were no active offensive actions by the enemy.

In other areas of the frontline, there were no significant changes in the situation and no enemy attempts to advance either. Ukrainian troops are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of combat engagement and in the rear.

 Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

There were 230 combat engagements in the oblast.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the adversary stormed the positions of our units 13 times in the vicinity of the settlements of Starytsia, Pishchane, Kruhle, Nesterne, Chuhunivka and towards Zelene and Okhrimivka.

Towards Kupiansk,there were six attacks by the invaders. The Defense Forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the vicinity of Kruhliakivka, Kurylivka, Bohuslavka, and Novoplatonivka.

Five people, including two children, were injured as a result of a russian drone strike on Verkhnia Rohanka, Kharkiv region in the afternoon, the regional police reported. The strike caused a fire in a private house. Five people were injured, including a 4-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl. According to the report, the children suffered an acute stress reaction.

Viktor Kovalenko,  Head of the community, says that russian troops launched a strike, preliminarily with an Italmas UAV, on Zolochiv at around 11:00. The drone hit a private house. The building was damaged; there are no injuries.

Hennadii Zahoruiko, Head of Oskil community, reports that three times during the day, the village of Oskil, Izium region was hit by russian strikes. The last time, Oskil was hit by KABs, damaging four private yards as a result of the strike

An enemy drone hit Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv. One of the city’s educational institutions was under attack. Preliminarily, the occupiers used a Molniia type UAV.

Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 13 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy strikes.

As a result of the shelling in the vicinity of Pidserednie of Velykyi Burluk community, a 67-year-old man was killed, and a 67-year-old woman was injured.

The enemy actively used various types of weaponry across Kharkiv oblast: 

▪️3 KABs; 

▪️11 Geran-2 type UAVs; 

▪️1 FPV-drone; 

▪️17 UAVs (type being established).

Civilian infrastructure objects were damaged and destroyed: 

▪️in Bohodukhiv region, a private house and electrical grids were damaged (Valky); 

▪️in Kupiansk region, a private house (Pidserednie) and 2 cars (Shevchenkove, Velyki Khutory) were damaged; 

▪️in Izium region, a hangar was damaged (Kriuchky); 

▪️in Kharkiv region, a private house, a shop, and a hangar were damaged (Vilshany); 

▪️in Chuhuiv region, 2 private houses were damaged (Pechenihy, Molodova).

The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 131 people over the past day. Since the start of operations, 20,601 people have been registered at the Point.

Two russian servicemen who raped a woman during the occupation of one of the settlements in Kharkiv oblast in April 2022 were sentenced in absentia to 12 years of imprisonment, the regional prosecutor’s office press service reported. Currently, the convicts are on the wanted list, according to the regional prosecutor’s office.

27 February marks the fourth anniversary of the Russian breakthrough into Kharkiv from the directions of Oleksiivka, Piatykhatky, and Mala Danylivka. russian groups managed to drive into the city center and were subsequently eliminated. Battles with one of the groups continued in School No. 134 — afterward, the educational institution was completely destroyed.

Donetsk oblast

Сommander of the SBS, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, reported that on the territory of Azovstal in temporarily occupied Mariupol, Ukrainian drone pilots destroyed a russian Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system. The system was struck by Ukrainian-made UAVs. The estimated cost of the destroyed system is approximately 15 million US dollars.

The General Staff of the AFU reports that towards Kostiantynivka, the russian army stormed the positions of the Defense Forces 24 times. Combat was recorded in the vicinity of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar and towards Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Berestok, Stepanivka, Sofiivka, and Novopavlivka.

Ukrainian troops stopped 50 attacks towards Pokrovsk, while more than 10 additional assaults took place towards Lyman.

Towards Sloviansk, units of the 54th Brigade have begun using ground robotic complexes capable of engaging in combat against russian infantry.

Previously, GRCs were mainly used for delivering cargo to positions, said Roman Kapinus, a senior gunner of the 54th Brigade’s battery.

A russian phosphorus strike on Kostiantynivka was recorded by soldiers of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The occupiers shelled a residential quarter of the city with the prohibited weapon and also dropped a FAB-1500 on Kostiantynivka.

On 26 February, russian troops carried out 1,186 strikes along the frontline and the residential sector of the oblast.

Nine settlements were under fire: the cities of Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, the settlement of Bilenke, and the villages of Bokove, Kopani, and Novopavlivka.

20 civilian objects were destroyed, 16 of which were residential buildings.

The russian army attacked the critical infrastructure of Kramatorsk yesterday evening. The occupiers struck the city with a Molniia-2 drone, according to the City Military Administration.

The russians carried out 4 strikes on Druzhkivka, three of which involved KAB-250 bombs — two civilians were killed, and another person was injured. 7 private houses and a boiler house were damaged.

The enemy covered Bilenke with artillery — two people were injured, and 6 private houses were damaged.

One person was injured as a result of a KAB-250 bomb hit in Dobropillia, where a private home was damaged. In the vicinity of Kopani and Bokove, one private house in each village was damaged.

In Sloviansk and Mykolaivka, enemy FPV drones damaged one civilian vehicle each.

 Luhansk oblast

The General Staff of the AFU confirmed a strike on an oil depot in Luhansk. According to the military, a large-scale fire broke out after the attack, the consequences of which are being further clarified.

Towards Novoiehorivka, the invaders applied pressure over the past day in Luhansk oblast. In the specified sector of the front, they struck 13 times with mortars. Unmanned aerial vehicles were actively used. In total, in two directions – Lyman and Sloviansk – the enemy carried out 22 attacks in the vicinity of ten settlements.

A personnel shortage has gripped occupied Luhansk oblast. There, they have been officially forced to resort to radical measures. For a number of positions, if a university degree with honors is held, no work experience is required at all. At the same time, for most positions, even university or college education will not be needed. Finished a vocational school – go work in the mayor’s office. Relevant decisions were approved in the so-called “lnr people’s council” – they lowered the qualification requirements necessary to fill senior and primary positions of the “municipal service.”

For the performative restoration of housing in the so-called “lnr,” they want to forcibly involve students. This refers specifically to the youth studying at local universities. Help from the russian federation should not be expected. The involvement of students in construction work was announced by the local branch of the “russian student detachments.” They consider it a negative that young people have not yet been involved in repairs on a free-of-charge basis.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine, as of 25 February, 1,150 applications from buildings had already been submitted to the state programme ‘SvitloDIM’. 400 apartment buildings have already received funding from the government. Of these, almost 300 buildings are in the capital and more than 100 are in Kyiv oblast. The total amount of subsidies to date is over UAH 107 million.

Serhiy Kovalenko, CEO of electricity and gas supplier YASNO, reported that there will be no return to the classic power outage schedules in Kyiv until April. According to him, personalised temporary schedules are in effect in the capital because the city remains ‘uneven in terms of the ability to transmit electricity to different areas.’

The Kyiv Regional State Administration reported that Andris Pildegovičs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine, visited the Centre for Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Social Services in Borodianka during his visit to Kyiv oblast.

The Bucha City Council announced that it is holding Donor Days. The collected blood will be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civilians. Donations will be accepted on 27 and 28 February, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Those wishing to donate blood will be welcomed at the Bucha Primary Health Care Centre. The need for donated blood remains critical today, so everyone can make an important contribution, the statement said.

The Vatican has unveiled a postage stamp depicting Kyiv Cathedral during a blackout. The new stamp shows Kyiv’s Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, darkened by the lack of electricity but illuminated by the orange glow of the evening sky behind it.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Zhytomyr City Council announced that on 26 February, funeral rites were held for Oleksandr Zakharchuk, a soldier who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since 2020, Oleksandr had been involved in radio-electronic defence of Ukrainian troops and the state. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation/Joint Forces Operation. He encountered a full-scale invasion in the Luhansk region. Oleksandr Zakharchuk died on 23 February 2026. He is survived by his daughter, whom he raised alone after the untimely death of his wife. 

Sumy oblast

The Regional Military Administration reported that on 27 February, russian forces attacked an agricultural enterprise in Shostka region by drones. In Yampil community, two employees of the agricultural enterprise, women aged 72 and 67, were killed. They were recovered from under the rubble. Another employee, a 60-year-old woman, sustained severe injuries. She was hospitalised and is receiving the necessary medical  assistance.

The State Emergency Service informed that on the morning of 27 February, the russian army struck a hotel in the centre of Sumy twice. After the first impact, the enemy carried out a second strike when rescuers were already working at the scene. Fifty people were evacuated from the building. The second strike hit the fifth floor of the hotel, where guest rooms are located. No casualties were reported.

Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar said that at approximately 8:30am., a russian UAV struck an educational institution in Stetskivka starostat,. As a result of the strike, more than 20 windows were shattered, and part of the wall and roof of the building were damaged.

According to the Regional Military Administration, on 26 February, in Velyka Chernechchyna starostat of Sumy community, a 14-year-old boy was injured by fragments of a russian drone. Medics examined the injured boy and provided the necessary assistance.

The City Council reported that in Vorozhba, a drone attack left most streets without electricity. Energy workers will begin repair works as soon as the security situation permits.

Over the past day, from the morning of 26 February to the morning of 27 February, russian forces carried out nearly 70 attacks on 28 settlements across 15 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka region. Fifteen settlements were under enemy fire. The enemy used mortars, artillery, MLRS, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted 16 hours and 47 minutes over the past day.

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

  • In Sumy community, civilian infrastructure facilities, private residential houses, a residential premises and passenger vehicles were damaged;
  • In Lebedynka community, private residential houses were damaged;
  • In Vorozhba community, a passenger vehicle was damaged;
  • In Nyzhnia Syrovatka community, a private residential house was damaged;
  • In Shostka community, a multi-apartment residential building was damaged;
  • In Znob-Novhorodske community, a multi-apartment residential building and a civilian infrastructure facility were damaged;
  • In Esman community, a private residential house and outbuildings were destroyed.

Over the past day, 18 people were evacuated by local authorities in cooperation with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and civil society organisations from border communities.

 

Chernihiv oblast

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, reported that on 27 February, russian forces attacked Rohivka village in Novhorod-Siverskyi community by a Molniia-type strike UAV. The roof of a residential building was damaged as a result of the impact. No information on casualties was received.

Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi RMA, said that on the morning of 27 February, russian forces attacked a civilian vehicle in Novhorod-Siverskyi community by an FPV drone. Civilians in Pushkari village came under fire. There are currently no reports of casualties.

At approximately 9:20pm. on 26 February, the enemy attacked the centre of Novhorod-Siverskyi by drones. Two impacts were recorded. As a result of russian strikes, the building of the employment centre, a grocery store and residential houses were damaged.

Three people were injured in the evening attack by russian forces on the centre of Novhorod-Siverskyi on 26 February. According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, two of the injured are police officers.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, informed that over the past day on 26 February, russian forces attacked Chernihiv, Koriukivka, Menska, Horodnia and Novhorod-Siverskyi communities. In Koriukivska community, an FPV drone struck a rural shop. In another settlement, FPV drones attacked an energy facility. A vehicle was damaged in one of the villages. In Menska community, Geran drones attacked a woodworking enterprise. Residential houses were damaged in villages of Horodnianska and Novhorod-Siverska communities.

According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, during the day on 26 February, russian forces attacked 12 settlements in four border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (16 explosions) and artillery strikes (10 explosions), launched UAVs (2 explosions), FPV drones (11 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (2 explosions).

An exhibition dedicated to Hero of Ukraine, Su-25 pilot Captain Andrii Antykhovych, was opened at Bakhmach Historical Museum. He was killed on 26 February 2022 after directing his damaged aircraft towards columns of russian troops while returning from a combat mission over Kherson oblast. His body was found and buried by local residents in one of the villages in the temporarily occupied part of the oblast. In December 2023, his body was returned to territory under Ukraine’s control.

 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that occupying forces struck by drones and artillery, targeting Nikopol, Marhanets and Pokrovske rural community. A private residential house was damaged.

The enemy attacked the region by drones and artillery, targeting Nikopol, Marhanets, Myrove and Pokrovske rural communities. Fires broke out. Two multi-apartment residential buildings and five private houses, an outbuilding, an administrative building, a lyceum, a house of творчості, enterprises, lorries and a trailer were damaged.

Occupying forces struck Hrushivka community by an FPV drone. russian forces also directed a UAV towards Pokrovske community.

 

Vinnytsia oblast

During a mass aerial attack by russian forces, mobile fire groups of a Vinnytsia unit of the National Guard of Ukraine destroyed two Shahed-type strike UAVs.

Poltava oblast

The first transit centre for internally displaced persons will be established in Poltava oblast. In Lubenskyi region, preparations are under way to open the first transit centre for internally displaced persons, where they will be able to receive assistance with documentation and consultations regarding further accommodation.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Over the past day, February 26, the Defense Forces repelled 35 attacks by the Russian army in the Huliaipole direction. The occupiers attacked in the areas of Dobropillia, Huliaipole, and toward the settlements of Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Hirke, Varvarivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Sviatopetrivka, Charivne, the General Staff reported on the morning of February 27. At the same time, no offensive actions by the Russian army were recorded in the Orikhiv direction. In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attacked the positions of the Defense Forces ten times in the areas of Ternove, Zlahoda, and toward Verbove, Vyshneve, and Oleksandrohrad.

On February 25, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck a Russian army logistics warehouse near Novozlatopil and a UAV control center near Poltavka in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

On February 27, as a result of a nighttime Russian attack, some trains traveling to and from Zaporizhzhia will run with delays, Ukrainian Railways reported. After the shelling, power outages were recorded in the city. Despite this, suburban trains resumed operations, though delays of up to one hour are possible; no cancellations have been announced.

On February 26, four people, including one teenager, were injured as a result of a Russian drone attack on Zaporizhzhia district, the regional State Emergency Service reported. Fires broke out at several addresses, affecting two residential buildings, an outbuilding, a passenger car, and a low-pressure gas pipeline. Residential houses were partially damaged by the blast wave and debris.

On the evening of February 26, Russian forces attacked Vilniansk in Zaporizhzhia region with drones. Three people were injured, including a 17-year-old boy, according to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov. Private residential houses were damaged in the city.

Over the past day, February 26, 17 people were injured as a result of Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia city, Zaporizhzhia district, and Polohy district, said the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov. A total of 694 reports were received regarding damage to housing, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.

In total, the Russian army carried out 729 strikes on 37 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region:

  • 25 airstrikes on Komyshuvakha, Veselianka, Liubytske, Shevchenkivske, Tersianka, Orikhiv, Huliaipilske, Verkhnia Tersa, Zelene, Pryluki, Dolynka, Kopani, Myrne, Vozdvyzhivka, Preobrazhenka, and Charivne;

  • 406 UAVs of various modifications (mostly FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Vilniansk, Novomykolaivka, Listivka, Novoslobidka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Bilohiria, Charivne, Dorozhnianka, Hirke, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, and Pryluki;

  • 6 MLRS strikes targeted Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Dobropillia, and Mala Tokmachka;

  • 292 artillery strikes hit Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Mali Shcherbaky, Bilohiria, Charivne, Dorozhnianka, Hirke, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, and Pryluki.

Electricity supply was restored to more than 3,100 households in Vilniansk community after a Russian attack, Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo reported on February 27. The previous day, 3,138 households in the Vilniansk community had been left without power due to the attack. As of 14:00, electricity supply had been fully restored.

Thanks to a local ceasefire established with the support of the IAEA, repairs have begun at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) on the 330 kV backup line “Ferrosplavna-1,” which was damaged on February 10, 2026. IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi reported this on February 27. Demining operations are ongoing to ensure safe access for repair teams. Currently, the ZNPP is connected to the 750 kV “Dniprovska” line, which provides all essential nuclear safety functions.

Mykolaiv oblast

The RMA reported that the russian military attacked Ochakivka and Kutsurub communities three times with FPV drones. A private house was damaged in the village of Dmytrivka. There were no deaths or injuries.

The Police reported that in Mykolaiv region, a contact-action anchored river mine was discovered on the coast of the Buh estuary. Police explosives technicians destroyed the munition with a controlled explosion on site.

In Mykolaiv, the heating bills for houses damaged by shelling and a domestic gas explosion will be recalculated. This decision was made on 25 February during a meeting of the executive committee of Mykolaiv City Council. This concerns nine addresses.

Odesa oblast

Dmitry Pletenchuk, Spokesman for the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that naval servicemen destroyed 16 drones over Odessa oblast during a night attack by the russian federation. According to the South Air Command, as of 8:30 am, the Air Defense of Southern Ukraine had neutralized 39 Shahed and Gerber UAVs and 13 attack drones of other types.

On the night of 27 February, russians attacked the port, industrial, and civilian infrastructure of Odessa oblast with drones, the regional prosecutor’s office reported. As a result of the shelling in Izmail region, 2 people were injured: a 43-year-old man and a three-year-old girl. They are in the hospital.

Kateryna Tatarintseva, Deputy Mayor, stated that in Izmail, after the russian night attack on 27 February, high-rise buildings and private houses, 2 medical facilities, 2 administrative buildings, a sports complex and a kindergarten were damaged. About 30 high-rise buildings were damaged – they mostly had broken windows, particularly in the entrances. In the private sector, windows, doors and roofs were damaged.

According to Oleksii Kuleba, Minister of Community and Territorial Development, the russian federation shelled port and port infrastructure. Infrastructure facilities, warehouses and production facilities, as well as equipment of enterprises were damaged. Fires broke out in some locations, in containers with food products, the fires were extinguished.

After the power grid was damaged in Kyivskyi region, power engineers restored electricity to the homes of 156,600 users. DTEK reported that the work was carried out in three shifts, despite difficult weather conditions. According to the agency, some of the equipment damaged during the shelling cannot yet provide full power to the microdistrict. During the restrictions, electricity will be supplied in turns.

Kherson oblast

The RMA reported that russian military attacked Dniprovskyi region with a drone at around 3:50 pm As a result of the strike, a 30-year-old man received an explosive injury, shrapnel wounds to his arm and a bruised leg.

The RMA reported that 2 residents of Belozerka in Kherson oblast sought medical help. A 66-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man received explosive injuries and concussions as a result of russian shelling on 26 February. Both were hospitalized.

Alexander Prokudin, Head of the RMA, reported that as a result of russian attacks in Kherson oblast during the day on 26 February, one person was killed and eight were injured. 23 settlements of the oblast were under attack. The russian military tried to target critical and social infrastructure. They damaged a gas pipeline, 2 high-rise buildings, 23 private houses, outbuildings, a garage and a car.

During the day on 26 February, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Stanislav, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Sofiivka, Zolota Balka, Havrylivka, Antonivka, Burhunka, Vesele, Dniprovske, Zmiivka, Novotyahinka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Tokarivka, Tomina Balka, Tiahynka, Inhulivka, Kizomys, Pravdyne and Kherson were under shelling.

Volyn oblast

The RMA held a meeting with the relatives of missing and captured defenders. They discussed the creation of an Alley in the city of Lutsk dedicated to missing and captured defenders.

Zakarpattia oblast

A business meeting of representatives of the light industry of Ukraine and France on expanding business cooperation was held in Uzhgorod. The key result was the signing of a memorandum between the Association Ukrlehprom and the Federation of Ready-Made Garments of France. About 600 French companies have already declared their readiness to work with Ukrainian manufacturers, opening the way for them to direct contracts.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The RMA reported that the 50th Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine named after Semion Vysochan received equipment worth a total of over UAH 3.6m. In particular, quadcopters and equipment for controlling them.

Lviv oblast

The RMA reported that in 2025, the oblast provided medical assistance to 32,452 servicemen, over 6,000 underwent inpatient rehabilitation, and 1,316 received prosthetics.

With the support of UNICEF, the oblast plans to reconstruct the Center for Social Support for Children and Families. UNICEF is ready to provide $200,000 for this project.

Rivne oblast

The RMA reported that in January 2026, air raid warnings were issued 35 times in Rivne oblast. This is over twice as many as in December (16 warnings).

Ternopil oblast

On 27 February, a memorable prayer service entitled The Light of Prayer in the Darkness of War was held in Ternopil. During the event, the names of Ternopil residents who were killed in February in different years, starting from 2014, were announced. Since September 2025, similar memorial events have been held in Ternopil every month on the last Friday.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council allocated UAH 45m for the purchase of housing for military personnel. In addition, they increased the pension supplement for political prisoners and repressed persons and their family members.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Olha Pishchanska, Head of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, and her team, with the participation of the representative of Expertise France Virginie Ma-Dupont and Ruslan Biloskurskyi, Rector of the Yurii Fedkovych National University of Chernivtsi. They discussed problematic aspects of public finance management at the local level and the role of state audit as a tool for community development.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Nordic and Baltic countries will provide €12.5bn in support to Ukraine.

The UK has announced a new support package for Ukraine. It includes £20m in energy support; £5.7m in humanitarian assistance to frontline communities and IDPs, medical advice – highly qualified teams will advise medics in Ukraine and helicopter pilot training.
