Donetsk oblast
The Russian army has intensified pressure on the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The Defense Forces repelled 42 attacks in the Novopavlivka sector over the past day, the General Staff reported. This is more than three times the number on September 24. Russian troops have also increased assaults in the Pokrovsk and Toretsk sectors.
Following the successful actions of the Defense Forces on the front near Dobropillia, Russian forces abandoned their offensive in the Novopavlivka direction, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Syrskyi reported. The Russians had to redeploy marines to the Dobropillia front, who were meant to break through defenses in the Novopavlivka sector and “push either toward Zaporizhzhia or Dnipropetrovsk region.” However, the Russians got “bogged down” and have had no success. Ukrainian troops continue to liberate and clear areas in this part of the Pokrovsk sector after the occupiers broke through toward Dobropillia in August.
Russian forces are regrouping in the Pokrovsk sector, with groups of 2–3 men attempting to infiltrate and bypass Defense Force positions, orienting themselves by the number of casualties in certain areas. This was reported by Yuliia Stepaniuk, head of the communications department of the 117th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
The enemy continues shelling Druzhkivka.
At 10:00, Russians dropped a FAB-250 bomb with UMPK on private residential property. A 52-year-old resident was trapped under the rubble. Police paramedics, together with rescuers, freed the wounded man and took him to hospital. The explosion damaged 29 private houses and a car.

In the Kramatorsk community at 3:06, a “Molniya-2” drone strike was recorded in the yard of a private house, the city council reported. There were no injuries, but two houses and outbuildings were damaged.

On September 26, Russian forces dropped two FAB-500 high-explosive bombs on the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk region. As a result, three people were injured, reported Anastasiia Medvedieva, spokesperson for the regional prosecutor’s office.
At 2:47 a.m., Russian troops struck Sloviansk. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or damage to the residential sector.
On September 25, police recorded 1,699 Russian attacks along the frontline and on residential areas. Five settlements came under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Rodynske, and the village of Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka. Thirty-two residential houses were damaged.

Luhansk oblast
In the occupied Luhansk region, the fuel crisis is worsening. Russian occupiers are confiscating “excess” gasoline from local residents who try to bring it in from neighboring Russian regions. According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, so-called “customs officers” seize the fuel for the needs of occupation funds. Meanwhile, local gas stations continue to face shortages, and fuel prices are rising weekly.
The fuel problem affects not only the Luhansk region but also dozens of regions across Russia. This is a consequence of systematic Ukrainian strikes on the aggressor’s oil refining facilities. Despite promises from the occupation administration, the situation with fuel remains unresolved.
At the same time, the occupiers are preparing for large-scale redevelopment in Luhansk. According to Realna Gazeta, construction plans show that some “new” buildings overlap with existing ones, which may indicate intentions to demolish housing in two districts of the city.
In addition, the occupation authorities are systematically “nationalizing” apartments and houses belonging to Ukrainians forced to flee the region. Under the updated regulations, Russian federal officials and local collaborators now have priority rights to this property. Thus, housing is being used as a reward for serving the occupation regime.
Meanwhile, information pressure on young people is intensifying. The Russian Military-Historical Society has arrived in Luhansk, bringing a so-called “educational task force.” More than one hundred lectures are planned for schoolchildren, students, and teachers. Children are being taught a distorted version of history that justifies Russia’s aggression, while teachers are offered special methodological guides to implement in the educational process.
In this way, the occupiers are simultaneously increasing economic and informational pressure on the population, using resource shortages, housing, and education as instruments of control.
