The leader of the so-called “LNR” announced a military draft to be conducted in the fall and winter. The forced conscription measures, which had not stopped before, will begin on October 1 and last until the end of the year. With the decree of the local “gauleiter,” they will receive official status. Men born in 2007 and earlier – that is, starting from age 18 – will be subject to conscription.
To staff hospitals in the occupied Luhansk region, the occupiers plan to involve high school graduates – specifically, former students of specialized medical classes. This is an attempt to address the shortage of doctors. However, this will hardly affect the overall trend of a staffing catastrophe – only the quality of care, which is already very poor. For example, this year across the entire so-called “LNR” only 11 medical classes were formed, compared to 95 Cossack classes. After graduation, boys and girls will qualify as junior medical personnel.
