Kharkiv oblast
Five Russian attacks continue in the Kupyansk region as of 16:00, the General Staff reported.
On the Kharkiv direction, two clashes occurred. The occupier attempted to storm defense lines near Vovchansk.
On the Kupyansk direction, 18 battles have been fought since the beginning of the day. The occupier conducted offensive actions near Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, and Stelmakhivka. Currently, five attacks are ongoing.
Two aerial bombs struck open areas in the outskirts of Kharkiv. The impact of a third bomb completely destroyed four houses and damaged about a dozen more, according to the spokesperson of the regional prosecutor’s office, Dmytro Chubenko. Preliminary reports indicate that Russia used FAB-250 bombs with the UMPK (Universal Gliding and Correction Module), launched from a Su-34 aircraft from the Belgorod region.
One strike occurred in the Kyiv district of the city, and two more, tentatively, in a forested area. Medics provided assistance to four people injured by guided bomb strikes on Kharkiv. Two of them suffered from acute stress reactions, and two women were injured by glass. One of the women was hospitalized. One of the bombs struck the ground, damaging two private homes and an outbuilding. The roof of a house caught fire.
A tractor hit an explosive device near Chervona Hirka in the Izium region, damaging the cab’s glass and wheels, according to the State Emergency Service (SES). The driver was unharmed.
In Vovchansk, Russians are digging tunnels between houses, the Kharkiv Operational Tactical Group (OTG) reported as of 10:00. To conceal movements between neighboring houses in Vovchansk, the occupiers are constructing tunnels. A 46-year-old man was seriously injured and is in critical condition.
Earlier, at 23:03, the enemy attacked Kupyansk district, Vilkhuvatka Territorial Community, Prykolotne village. The airstrike caused a 400-square-meter grass fire. Windows, roofs of residential houses, and a warehouse building’s roof were damaged.
At 19:40, the enemy attacked the village of Duvanka in Zolochiv community. Private houses and outbuildings were damaged as a result of the shelling.
At 15:00, the enemy attacked Chuhuiv district, Vovchansk Territorial Community, Varvarivka village. A barn caught fire due to the shelling.
At 14:40, the enemy attacked Izium district, Borivska Territorial Community, Boguslavka village, in its outskirts. The shelling caused a pine litter fire covering an area of 15 hectares.
In the Kharkiv direction, there were three enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk and Tykhe.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy launched 10 assaults on our positions near Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Kolisnykivka, Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka, and in the direction of Lozova over the past 24 hours.
The death toll from the enemy strike on September 24 has risen to five: a 72-year-old woman died in intensive care.
Twelve people injured in the airstrikes on Kharkiv on September 24 remain in hospitals, the regional administration’s press service reported. Four of them are in serious condition.

A mine action coordination centre has been launched in Kharkiv oblast. 19-year-old Tiia Bychkhidzhy, who left occupied Donetsk for Kharkiv on her own, received a Ukrainian passport. The Migration Service in Kharkiv oblast noted that the process of issuing the passport was complicated by the fact that the girl had no documents other than her birth certificate.
Donetsk oblast
The 72nd Brigade denied that the soldiers had left Vuhledar.
Volodymyr Proskunin, Deputy Head of Mykolaiv CMA, informed that in the morning of 26 September, russian troops shelled Raihorodok village. The occupiers hit the private sector.
Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office said that a 48-year-old man was killed by russian strikes on Chasiv Yar. A 33-year-old woman and two men aged 26 and 65 were wounded. The invaders shelled Chasiv Yar with cannon artillery and hit a private house.
Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that in the afternoon of 26 September, the russian army shelled Chasiv Yar. Preliminary, they fired from cannon artillery. As a result of the attack on the private sector at his place of residence, a 48-year-old resident of the town sustained life-threatening injuries. Orest Drymalovskyi, a representative of the 79th separate air assault brigade, stated that soldiers of the 79th Brigade near Kostiantynivka village of Marinka community are preventing russian occupiers from entering the flanks of the towns of Vuhledar and Kurakhove. The enemy troops are storming with columns of armoured vehicles, but there has been no recent advance in this direction.
Yesterday police recorded 2,807 hostile attacks on the frontline and residential areas. Four people were killed and 19 wounded as a result of russian shelling.
17 settlements were targeted: Vuhledar, Hirnyk, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Pokrovsk, Siversk, Novoekonomichne, Bohoiavlenka, Dibrova, Dronivka, Zvirove, Nikanorivka, Novopavlivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove, Orikhuvatka and Torske.
78 civilian objects were damaged, including 39 residential buildings.
The regional police reported that russians dropped two FAB-250 bombs with UMPK modules on Kramatorsk. The shelling killed an 87-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man. Among the wounded are three children, a 15-year-old boy and two girls aged 4 and 10. The girls are the daughters of the deceased 50-year-old man. Kramatorsk CMA reported that the strike damaged 39 apartment buildings, two kindergartens, a school, two shopping centres, three shops, three cafes, and 13 cars. Rescue workers and utility companies have completed the rubble removal. Five tonnes of construction waste was removed from the site. 20 people and 5 pieces of equipment were involved.
Kostiantynivka suffered 6 strikes by three anti-aircraft gunships, artillery and drones. A civilian was wounded. Two apartment buildings and a private house, a shop, an administrative building, a petrol station and 10 civilian cars were damaged.
In Hirnyk, a drone strike killed one person and injured another, damaging a private house.
There was a casualty in Dronivka, which was shelled by the enemy with artillery.
In Pokrovsk, the occupants hit a civilian car with a drone, injuring a civilian.
Also russian troops hit Orikhuvata with three FAB-250 bombs with UMPK modules, damaging a critical infrastructure facility.

Police paramedics evacuated two elderly people from Selydove under the gunfire of enemy drones.
The pensioner planned to leave the town with her grandson. However, she was wounded during the shelling and taken to hospital. Due to the lack of communication and information about the condition, the grandmother did not want to leave the house. The police persuaded the woman to leave and on the way found out that her grandson was in a hospital in Dnipro. The passenger was taken to a safe area, from where she went to visit her relative. In addition, paramedics took an elderly man who needed urgent medical care out of the line of fire.
Luhansk oblast
The invaders fired 118 times towards the fortifications of Ukrainian defenders and surrounding villages. Mortars and artillery were used 31 times near Stelmakhivka and Kuzemivka. According to the CMA, 20 attacks took place near Balka Zhuravka and Makiivka. Also russians fired twice at Balka Zhuravka by multiple rocket launchers. The enemy launched 61 unmanned aerial vehicles in the direction of these localities.
Fighting also took place near Stelmakhivka, Hrekivka, Novoliubivka and Bilohorivka yesterday. The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Hrekivka and Novoiehorivka.
This year, nearly 1000 Luhansk IDPs learned about the demining profession at events organised by The HALO Trust in Ukraine. Explosive ordnance disposal is a long-term task that needs to be addressed both now and after the Victory. This year, 21 such events have already been held, including 16 offline and five online. As a result of the training, 32 candidates have already started their studies, 21 of them have successfully completed the course, and ten have found employment.
High school students in Alchevsk are taught how to manipulate people’s minds, glorify the criminal actions of the russian army, and create fake news. Masterclasses on kremlin propaganda in schools are conducted by local and visiting media executives who have been working for the occupiers for 10 years. This is one of russia’s projects for ideological work with young people.
Huge queues are forming outside the office of the State Land Register in Siverskodonetsk. Those whose homes the occupation authorities want to ‘nationalise’ need to confirm their ownership within 30 days. At the same time, the specialist is only available for three hours a day – one and a half in the morning and one and a half in the afternoon four days a week.

Kyiv oblast
Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the RMA, reported that on the night of 26 September, the russian army attacked Kyiv oblast with drones. Air defence forces destroyed all targets. As a result of the fall of drone debris in three districts, 5 private houses, windows in three multi-storey buildings and the facade of one of the oblast’s enterprises were damaged. Six fires of forest litter and grass flooring were extinguished. A 66-year-old woman was injured in an apartment that was hit by the debris of the downed targets.
Serhiy Popko, head of KCMA, noted that more than a dozen enemy drones attacked Kyiv at night. Combat operations in Kyiv’s airspace and on its outskirts lasted for 5 hours. In Pechersk district of Kyiv, a gas pipe in a residential building was depressurised as a result of falling debris. In addition, about 20 cars were damaged. The wreckage of the downed drones was found on the territory of a kindergarten.
Kyiv police reported that two people were affected by a nighttime russian attack. A man sustained injuries, and his child has an acute stress reaction.
Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the RMA, announced that 21 IDP families who lost their homes due to the war received keys to new homes in Hansen Town in Kyiv oblast. More than 1,300 people have already moved into the residential complex built by American philanthropist Dell Loy Hansen. The town has also sheltered 9 family-type orphanages from Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts.
In the Irpin community, 47 shelters were inspected by specialists from the Department of Emergency Situations, Defence and Mobilisation of the Irpin City Council together with representatives of the SES. 36 community shelters are fully equipped and ready to shelter citizens, 8 are in the process of being completed, and two are undergoing repairs.
Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that there are 6 adaptive clubs called ‘Active Parks – Unstoppable’ in Kyiv oblast, created to restore physical activity to veterans and people with disabilities who have been affected by the war. Visitors are offered swimming, fitness, jiu-jitsu, general fitness and archery classes. Between 2023 and 2024, more than 500 veterans underwent rehabilitation at these locations.
The RMA informed that delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) got acquainted with the progress of the programme for managing the destruction waste in Kyiv oblast. The guests visited the sites for temporary storage of construction waste in Buzova and Borodyanka, visited the location where the equipment provided by the Japanese side is stored, and watched the dismantling in Irpin in real conditions. The guests also saw the destroyed high-rise buildings in Borodyanka that need to be dismantled.
Zhytomyr oblast
The Regional Military Administration reported that almost 3,000 people have used the services of mobile medical teams in Zhytomyr oblast. From January to September, their services covered 112 settlements of Olevsk, Narodychi and Slovechne communities. 2,826 local residents of these communities received consultations and examinations from a family doctor and had the opportunity to talk to a psychologist and a social work specialist.
Since the beginning of the year, 12 religious communities in oblast have transferred to the Zhytomyr-Ovruch and Zhytomyr-Polissia dioceses of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Out of the 12 rectors, only three supported their parishioners and together with them decided to withdraw from the Moscow Patriarchate, followed the Tomos of autocephaly and joined the Local Orthodox Church.
Sumy oblast
According to Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, around 13:00 on 26 September, russian military drones struck a railway station in the town of Khutir-Mykhailivskyi in the Shostka region. As a result of the strikes, three railway station employees were injured. The injured workers received the necessary medical assistance, and their lives are not currently in danger. The station building was damaged, and 15 windows were shattered due to the shelling.
According to Irina Yukhta, the acting head of the Krasnopillia community, on 26 September, the russian army hit a house in Krasnopillia with a drone. As a result of the explosion, one house in Krasnopillia was almost completely destroyed, and at least three more houses were damaged. An administrative building of the community council’s municipal facility was also affected. No one was killed or injured.
Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA) reported that on the night of 26 September, russian forces attacked Yunakivka community with guided bombs (KABs). A 71-year-old woman died in the shelling. She was in her own home during the attack. A 64-year-old man was also injured.
Overnight and into the morning, russian forces carried out 28 shellings of border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast. A total of 51 explosions were recorded. The shellings affected the Mykolaivka, Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Richky, Romny, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Berezivka, Shalyhyne, and Esman communities.
On 25 September, russian forces carried out 67 shellings of border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, with 149 explosions recorded. The shellings affected the Mykolaivka, Khotin, Bilopillia, Richky, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne, Druzhbivka, Svesa, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorod communities.
In Sumy, on the morning of 26 September, an undetonated russian FAB-500 aerial bomb was discovered near the Ivan Kharitonenko car bridge, according to the Sumy RMA. Police explosives experts defused the bomb and transported it to a safe location for disposal.
On 26 September, residents of the Sumy Regional Specialized Orphanage were evacuated to the Volyn region. Some residents of the geriatric home, which had been hit by a russian aerial bomb, were relocated to facilities in Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi regions. This was reported by Sumy RMA. The evacuees will be provided with food, medicine, and utility expenses covered by a charitable fund.
Chernihiv oblast
During the day, russian forces attacked 11 villages in two border communities in Chernihiv oblast. The fire was carried out using artillery and mortars, and drones were also used to drop explosives from UAVs. A total of 77 explosions were reported.

No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.
Oleksandr Lomako, acting mayor of Chernihiv, announced that nearly UAH 30m will be allocated from the city budget of Chernihiv to support the military. During a meeting of the executive committee of the Chernihiv City Council, changes and amendments to the 2024 community budget were approved, providing for the allocation of subsidies to military units. Over UAH 20m will go to support the 1st Tank Brigade, while UAH 8.2m will be directed to the needs of Territorial Defence units.
Volunteers from Japan, Portugal, Italy, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine, including a veteran of the 3rd Assault Brigade, have been working for two months in the Ladan community in Chernihiv oblast as part of the Build Ukraine Together (BUR) initiative. BUR camp administrator Tetiana Sumkovych shared that their task is to renovate part of the second floor of the House of Culture. Once the work is completed, the space will be used as a youth centre for various activities, as decided in collaboration with the community.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
From evening until morning, the enemy continued to attack the Nikopol region, as reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk. They used kamikaze drones, artillery, and Grad rocket systems, and dropped explosives from UAVs. The attacks targeted the district center and the Marhanets community. The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the UNICEF regional office. The implementation of the pilot project Better Care for Every Child was discussed.
Zakarpattia oblast
Vynohradiv geriatric boarding house will provide rehabilitation services. Due to the expansion of the provision of social and rehabilitation services, the boarding house will function according to a mixed profile as a geriatric boarding house for senior citizens who need external care or support in living, and a boarding house for people with disabilities aged 18 to 60 and a rehabilitation institution for people, which require a complex of rehabilitation measures. Therefore, the institution will have the opportunity to provide rehabilitation services to persons with disabilities and conscripts.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Family food kits were handed over to IDPs of Oleshansk community from the Global Empowerment Mission American CF and the HowardGBUFFETT Foundation.
Ivano-Frankivsk community sent an autonomous bathhouse to the 109th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion of the 10th Separate Amphibious Assault Brigade Edelveis. This complex is insulated with special foam, there is waterproofing, lining, two washing machines, a dryer, a sink, 3 showers, 2 boilers (one of them is electric, powered by a generator, and the other is fueled by wood) and a cubic water tank.
Lviv oblast
Ihor Babinchuk, from Strii region, was awarded with the III degree For Courage Order (posthumously). The state award was presented to the mother of the fallen soldier. Ihor Babinchuk, call sign Makhno, served in the 116th Separate Mechanised Brigade. He was killed on 12 August, 2023 in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
Rivne oblast
6 large families of IDPs living in Rivne oblast received laptops. Families currently live in dormitories of Rivne region, where the mobile team of the Center for Integration NGO works. In total, 18 IDP families with many children have already received such assistance.
Belokrynytsk community signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the city of Somerset in the state of Ohio. This became possible with the active participation of Rivne RMA and the USAID Hoverla project. It provides for the implementation of joint projects and the exchange of best practices in the areas of economic development, energy, education, culture, social services, health care, as well as youth exchanges.
Ternopil oblast
The RMA reported that the oblast sent 50 newest drones to the front.
The RMA reported that a Support Center for Veterans and Families of Heroes will appear in Ternopil. This will be the place where defenders can get all the help they need after returning from the front.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
At night, during an air alert, the Air Defense Forces shot down 5 Shahed-type BpLA. An economic building on the territory of private home ownership of the oblast was damaged. All relevant services arrived at the scene. There were also rocket attacks on infrastructure facilities in the region. There were no injuries or damage.
Chernivtsi oblast
An evacuation train with 47 IDPs, including 14 children arrived in Chernivtsi from frontline oblasts. Upon the arrival of the train, people were fed, provided psychological and medical support, as well as basic necessities. They will live in pre-prepared facilities in Khotynsk, Toporivsk, Zastavnivsk and Vyzhnytsk communities.
Chernivtsi and Cluj-Napoca signed the Twinning Agreement between the two cities. They agreed on joint projects and support for Ukrainians in Cluj in order to popularize Ukrainian culture, lifestyle and traditions here.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
In New York, a meeting was held in the format Group of Seven + Ukraine. Over 30 countries and the European Union adopted a Joint Declaration on Support for the Restoration and Reconstruction of Ukraine.
By the end of the year, Ukraine will receive additional financial support in the amount of about $50bn at the expense of revenues from frozen russian assets, part of which will be directed to defence needs.
On the Pentagon website stated that the US allocated new military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $375 million. The package included, air-to-ground ammunition; ammunition for HIMARS systems; 155-mm and 105-mm artillery ammunition; TOW anti-tank missiles; Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems; armoured guard vehicles M1117; mine countermeasures vehicles with ambush protection (MRAP).
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Philemon Young, Chairman of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. They discussed annual debates held within the framework of the Ukrainian item Situation in Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine and the adoption of the annual resolution on the situation with human rights in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Antonio Guterres, UN Secretary General. They discussed implementation of the Peace Formula and freedom of navigation in the Black Sea.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Charles Michel, President of the European Council. They discussed how to quickly implement the decision on the use of revenues from frozen russian assets, military needs and steps to strengthen Ukraine’s stability and defence capability.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Emmanuel Macron, French President. They discussed the situation on the battlefield, needs of Ukrainian soldiers, further strengthening of the Ukrainian air defence system and military training.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa. They discussed how to expand the representation of the countries of the Global South.
