It has been the 947th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

The situation at the front remains difficult and tense. The russian army, despite the significant losses suffered, continues to try to break through the defences of Ukrainian troops. The situation is the most intense towards Kurakhove and Pokrovsks. 

There were more than 70 combat engagements. 

Along the border of Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts there are aystematic insidious attacks by enemy artillery and aviation.  Studenok, Velyka Pysarivka, Novomykolaivka, Obody and Boyaro-Lezhachi were hit by enemy artillery shelling from the territory of russia. In addition, the enemy struck with UAVs in the vicinities of Prohres, Yastrubshchyna, Komarivka, Studenok, Meliachyha, Bilovody, Khodyne, Bunyakyne, dropping a total of 14 aircraft bombs. 

The enemy does not forget to strike at its own territory, so according to available information, there were six air strikes on Kursk oblast, using seven aircraft bombs. 

Towards Kharkiv, russian occupiers twice tried to storm the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops near Vovchansk, yet all the attacks were repelled. 

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy intensively attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops six times in the vicinity of Synkivka, Novoselivka, Hlushkivka, Kruhlyakivka and Lozova. Ukrainian troops are holding steadfastly, with four firefights still ongoing. The situation is under control. 

Towards Lyman, the invading army made six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Novosadove. Four engagements ended, two more are ongoing. 

Towards Kramatorsk, the invaders carried out three assault operations with the support of army aviation near Hryhorivka and Stupochka. All attacks were repelled.

 Towards Toretsk, russians tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions near Toretsk, Shcherbanivka and Niu-York, where the Defence Forces repelled two attacks, and three firefights are still ongoing. The occupiers are actively using aviation in this area, in particular, near Druzhba, Berestka and Kostiantynivka. 

Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy made 19 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the vicinity of Vozdvyzhenka, Novotoretske, Mykolaivka, Hrodivka, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Dachinske, Marynivka, Selydove and Novotoretske. The defence forces were holding back the attack and repelled 15 enemy attacks, with four attacks continuing. The enemy’s losses are being clarified.

Fighting continues near Tsukurine, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka and Katerynivka towards Kurakhove. According to updated information, 13 attacks by the occupying army were repelled, and four attacks are ongoing.

Towards Vremivka, UKrainian troops repelled five attacks in the vicinity of Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Vodiane and Katerynivka, three more attacks are ongoing, yet the enemy’s attempts to advance failed.

Towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv, the occupiers made one unsuccessful attempt to attack near Novodarivka and Mali Shcherbaki.

Towards Kherson, the enemy tried twice to drive Ukrainian troops from their positions, yet failed.

Dmytro Lubinets, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, says that 9 children and a 20-year-old man were returned from Russia and the temporarily occupied territories. Some of them have disabilities and serious illnesses. 

The Ministry of Health informs that the list of diseases and conditions for prescribing medical cannabis has been approved. Medicines based on medical cannabis will be available exclusively with an electronic prescription from a doctor.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

At around 5pm, a russian surface-to-air missile hit a private house in Kyivskyi district. Kharkiv Mayor Terekhov said that several private houses were damaged by the russian strike and that there was a threat of fire spreading to the area of the strike.

The General Staff reported that as of 4pm, towards Kuoiansk, there were four battles, with a total of six russian assaults near Synkivka, Novoselivka, Hlushkivka, Kruhliakivka and Lozova.  

Towards Kharkiv, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled two russian attacks near Vovchansk.

At 4:45pm, russians attacked Kharkiv. Three houses and a car were damaged as a result of the shelling by the KAB. Three women and two men were injured.

Oleh Yermolenko, a resident of a house in Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv that was damaged by a russian attack, said that he had not lived in his own home for two years and he was doing repairs after the previous hit. Recently, Oleh finished the repairs, but on 26 September, russia launched an airstrike, and the resident’s house was damaged again.

At 10:48pm, the russians attacked Bezruky village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. A house was damaged as a result of MRLs shelling.

At 7:10pm, russians attacked Prudianka village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. A house burned down as a result of a UAV crash.

At 5:25pm, russians attacked Mala Danylivka community of Kharkiv region. The forest floor was on fire as a result of the shelling of the UAV.

At 4:40pm, russians hit Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi settlement of Kupiasnk region. A cafe and 4 kiosks were burning as a result of the shelling by an anti-aircraft vehicle. A 77-year-old man was injured.

At 4:40pm, russians targeted Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi. As a result of the shelling, 2 residential buildings burned.

At 2:35pm, russians shelled Kivsharivka village of Kindrashivka community, Kupiansk region. The shelling damaged a school building and a fence.

 At 1pm, russians attacked Vovchansk of Chuhuiv region. A 74-year-old man was injured as a result of the shelling. 

 At 8am, russians attacked Ivashky village of Zolochiv community, Bohodukhiv region. As a result of a tank shelling, garages were burning. A 46-year-old man was injured.

 Towards Kharkiv, there were three firefights near Starytsia, Tykhe and Vovchansk.

Towards Kupiansk, there were 20 engagements. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Stelmakhivka and Kolisnykivka.

Mobile dentistry has started working in Kharkiv oblast and has already made 32 visits to 9 locations, and 769 people have received dental care. Also, as part of the Power for Health project, Kharkiv oblast received 403 energy saving systems. This equipment will ensure power supply to medical facilities, educational institutions and social services during power outages.

Donetsk oblast

Serhii Horbunov, Head of the CMA, informed that the russian military shelled Kostiantynivka several times during the day, causing light injuries to four people. The russian army fired at the town with guided aerial bombs, artillery and an aerial missile. 

Vadym Liakh, Head of the CMA, reported that the russian army shelled Sloviansk community in the morning, two residents were wounded.

Yesterday russians killed four civilians and wounded 11 others. Police recorded 3,038 hostile attacks along the frontline and in the residential sector. 17 settlements were under attack: Bilytske, Kostiantynivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Selydove, Siversk, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, Kurakhivka, Raihorodok, Bohoiavlenka, Viroliubivka, Nove, Novoekonomichne, Novoukrainka, Ozerne and Tarasivka.

129 civilian objects were damaged, including 110 residential buildings.

The invaders shelled Toretsk with artillery, killing two civilians, wounding two others and damaging a private house.

One dead and three wounded were reported in Chasiv Yar.

A civilian was killed in Siversk as a result of shelling, and two private houses and a civilian bus were damaged.

Also russia shelled Pokrovsk with artillery and a drone, injuring two people, damaging a shop, an outbuilding, a garage and two civilian cars.

One person was wounded in Myrnohrad, Selydove, Kurakhivka and Novoekonomichne.

The occupiers dropped a FAB-250 bomb with a UMPK module on Bilytske, damaging a critical infrastructure facility.

Raihorodok came under combined fire from 4 FAB-250 aerial bombs with a UMPK module and a Smerch MRLs. 83 private houses were damaged, 8 of which were destroyed, and three civilian cars.

 

In Tarasivka, 10 private houses were damaged as a result of two FABs.

 

In Kostiantynivka, 5 private houses, a gas pipeline and power lines were damaged.

 

The White Angels crew delivered aid to residents of Yarova, which was affected by forest fires. Before the full-scale invasion, the village in the Liman region was home to 2,500 people, but the occupiers turned it into ruins. Despite constant shelling, some people returned to their homes after the liberation of Yarova in autumn 2022. Now, despite the proximity of the frontline, 890 residents live here, including 80 families with children.

 

The City Council reported that an exhibition dedicated to the history of the Greeks of Mariupol is opening in Kyiv today to mark the Day of the City of Mariupol.

Luhansk oblast

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that the invaders hit Balka Zhuravka six times with multiple rocket launchers. They used 23 unmanned aerial vehicles in the area of this village. Artillery systems were used 20 times. Eight more were aimed at nearby Makiivka, which is one of the hottest spots on Luhansk front. In addition, the enemy conducted air strikes in the areas of Nadiia and Raihorodok.

 

The enemy conducted offensive actions near Stelmakhivka, Hrekivka, Balka Zhuravka and Bilohorivka.

 

Heavy fighting is taking place in the area of Balka Zhuravka (Nevske). The situation in Makiivka is also tense. The enemy is destroying entire streets in these villages.

 

The russians want to create people’s militias in the so-called “luhansk people’s republic”. A volunteer association in memory of the Soviet Union is being formed by adopting a bill. Discussions have already taken place in the so-called “committee of the people’s council for military, civil defence and emergencies, law and order and the Cossacks”. The people’s units will work together with the occupiers’ law enforcement agencies. They will strengthen the total control of the russian authorities over the population, take part in searches, and make denunciations.

 

For more than two years, only one pharmacy in Rubizhne was available to buy medicines, if they were available. In September, another one was opened. However, there is still a catastrophic shortage of medicines in the city, as the range of medicines available at these two outlets is extremely limited. Some vital medicines are not delivered by the invaders at all. 

 

Residents of most of the settlements occupied by the occupiers in 2022 are still not provided with utilities. Cities are not ready for winter again.

 

New russian investors in mines in the so-called ‘“lpr” promise to pay off wage arrears after the sale of the companies’ property.

 

In Siverskodonetsk, some people were allowed to earn extra money by being allowed to install the Internet. Connection and installation of equipment costs up to one thousand dollars.

 

The enemy conceals information about the actual number of captured, wounded and killed russian soldiers from the population in every possible way.

 

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported that Makariv Medical College dormitory and the Health Point of the Gostomel Primary Health Care Centre were restored with the help of international partners. The facilities were damaged by artillery shelling at the beginning of the russian invasion in March 2022.

The Ministry of Defence announced that the second recruitment centre for the Ukrainian army in the capital was opened in the Dnipro District State Administration. The centres will not issue summonses. These are information and consultation hubs where everyone can find out about available vacancies, the necessary steps and documents to join the Defence Forces. 

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko informed that 67 certificates for housing were issued to combatants, servicemen who were disabled in the war, and families of fallen soldiers. In total, this year the capital has provided 121 certificates for housing to combatants and families of the fallen, and paid for 88 apartments on a 50/50 co-financing basis.

On 25 September, the Ukrainian Women’s Guard held a tactical medicine training in Lviv. During the training, the participants learnt how to use the MARCH algorithm, recognise, detect and provide assistance in case of massive bleeding, pneumothorax, hypothermia, and apply pressure dressings in case of non-massive bleeding. The knowledge gained was put into practice.

The RMA reported that 11 communities in Kyiv oblast received the last batch of school buses purchased at the expense of the state and local budgets. This year, the Kyiv oblast purchased 42 buses that will be used to transport children to educational institutions. 13 vehicles were donated to oblast by international partners.

On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, a solemn procession ‘Honouring Heroes’ will be held in Kyiv. It is organised by the families of fallen heroes united by the Heart Outward initiative. The event will be dedicated to all Ukrainian soldiers. It is scheduled for Saturday, 28 September, starting at 12:00 in Taras Shevchenko Park. 

Zhytomyr oblast

The Regional Military Administration reported that Zhytomyr oblast handed over 30 FPV drones to drone pilots from the 3rd assault brigade.

The RMA also announced that Zhytomyr oblast received almost UAH 500 thousand in compensation for free accommodation of internally displaced persons in institutions. This includes compensation for utilities consumed during the free stay of internally displaced persons in the premises of state, municipal and private property.

 

In Zhytomyr, the families of the fallen soldiers received state awards – Orders for Courage, III degree. According to Zhytomyr City Council, five soldiers were awarded posthumous decorations.

The National Health Service of Ukraine reported that there are 15 providers of dental prosthetics for military personnel and veterans in Zhytomyr oblast. 

Sumy oblast

 At night and in the morning, russians carried out 24 shellings of the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast.  53 explosions were recorded.  Mykolayivka, Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Myropilia, Krasnopillia, Velika Pysarivka, Shalyhyne, Esman communities came under fire.

 On 26 September, russians carried out 55 shelling of the border territories and settlements of Sumy oblast.  94 explosions were recorded.  The communities of Sumy, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropilia, Bilopollia, Krasnopillia, Velika Pysarivka, Putyvl, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne, Druzhbivka, Svesa, and Seredyna-Buda came under fire.

Sumy RMA and the UNDP jointly implement projects on the development of veteran policy in the oblast. On 26 September, there was a meeting of the head of Sumy RMA with Federica Dispenza, program manager of the UNDP in Ukraine.  During the meeting, it was noted that the UNDP program supported 26 mini-projects in 6 partner communities, which came from veteran communities or aimed at helping veterans.  Among them are 7 projects that became winners of the school of social entrepreneurship.  Currently, veteran centres are being created in Konotop and Lebedyn.  Corresponding work is being carried out on the arrangement of such a space in Sumy.  Training of community teams to reintegrate veterans, as well as the development of appropriate local programs, has been provided.  Psychologists who work with veterans in communities have been trained.

Sumy RMA informed that in Sumy oblast, training was held on how to act in the event of an accident at an energy infrastructure facility.  Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, took part in training and practising actions at the power company under the command of the dispatcher in the event of a special system accident in the power system.  In the course of the exercises, the actions of operational staff and the dispatcher of the operational dispatch service were practised.  Other issues the emergency situation in relation to other non-staff situations at the facilities of the energy complex were also worked out.

According to Sumy RMA, a ceremonial awarding of scholarships to gifted pupils and students of the region took place.  This year, scholarships of the RMA head were awarded to 86 scholarship children – winners of Olympiads, contests, tournaments and sports competitions.  Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy RMA, congratulated this year’s scholarship recipients, thanked students of Sumy oblast for their hard work, thirst for learning and contribution to the development of education in oblast.  

Chernihiv oblast

During the day, russians shelled two border communities of Chernihiv oblast.  They fired by mortars and dropped explosives from drones.

 Novhorod-Siverskyi community:

 – 1 explosion, probably the dropping of an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle in the area of Buchky.

 Semenivka community:

 – 4 explosions, probably by a 120 mm mortar in the area of Leonivka,

 – 3 explosions, probably dropping an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle in the area of  Halahanivka.

 Information about the victims was not reported.

 The press service of the Department of Education and Science of Chernihiv Regional State Administration reported that some schools will receive UAH 290,500 each from UNICEF. 

On 27 September, four soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were buried in Chernihiv oblast: Serhii Bodriienko, Vladyslav Shumeiko, and Valentin Lobur.  This was reported in the Chernihiv Regional TCC and SP.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, said that Dnipro was attacked at night. An industrial facility was damaged by an enemy missile attack and a fire broke out. At night, the enemy attacked Nikopol region with a kamikaze drone and artillery. They targeted the region centre and the Marhanets community. Infrastructure was damaged. 

Three people were killed in the attack on Kryvyi Rih. Six more were injured. Rescuers are looking for one person under the rubble. Throughout the day, the enemy attacked Nikopol region with kamikaze drones, artillery, hail shelling and dropping ammunition from drones. They targeted the region centre, Pokrov, Myrove and Marhanets communities. An agricultural enterprise was damaged, and about 1,000 poultry died. In Dnipro, six dozen windows in 14 houses and a dormitory were smashed by a nighttime missile strike. Another enemy drone was shot down over the oblast.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​A memorial plaque was unveiled in the village of Ivanivka in Luka-Meleshkivska community in Vinnytsia in honour of Oleksandr Renhach, a master sergeant with the Chervona Kalyna brigade. It was installed on the facade of the local school where the defender studied.

Kirovohrad oblast

Kropyvnytskyi community lost two soldiers in the war. Oleksandr Khyzhevskyi, 49, and Maksym Petridi, 39, were killed in the war in September. 

Cherkasy oblast

In Cherkasy, three fallen soldiers — Viktor Kucherenko, Ruslan Mamedov and Vyacheslav Ilnytsky — were paid tribute to. One of them was considered missing until recently.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On September 26, russian occupiers launched 362 attacks on nine settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. They carried out six airstrikes on Huliaipole and Temyrivka. 225 drones of various types attacked Prymorske, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Levadne. Four MLRS strikes targeted Novoandriivka and Novodanylivka. Additionally, 127 artillery shellings hit the areas of Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Levadne. There were 99 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.

Three combat engagements occurred towards Orikhiv. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults near Robotyne. The situation towards Huliaipole remains unchanged.

Representatives of the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant informed experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), who are stationed at the nuclear facility, about a drone explosion near the plant. According to the IAEA report, the likely drone strike occurred on 20 September at the 35/6 kV substation, approximately 300 meters from the plant. Upon visiting the site, international observers noticed some impact on one of the two transformers at the substation. They also observed battery remnants and metal parts likely belonging to the drone. Additionally, the agency’s experts at the nuclear facility heard explosions during the week, including several near the site, though no damage to the plant was reported.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of 27 September 27, air defense forces destroyed a Shahed 131/136 drone in Mykolaiv oblast.

On 26 September, the enemy launched nine FPV drone attacks on Kutsurub community. As a result of one of the attacks, a car caught fire, which firefighters quickly extinguished. No casualties were reported.

The government approved a program to finance a water pipeline project that will supply drinking water to Mykolaiv. The estimated cost of the project is approximately AH 8.8b, with donor funds also being involved. The Dnipro-Mykolaiv water pipeline was destroyed in April 2022.

Odesa oblast

In the early morning, the enemy attacked Izmail with drones. As a result of the attack, three people were killed. Preliminary reports indicate that 14 people were injured, including three children: two boys aged 3 and 13, and a 14-year-old girl. Private and multi-story houses, outbuildings, buildings, and cars were damaged. Several fires broke out due to the attack, which firefighters quickly extinguished.

On the night of 27 September 27, air defense forces shot down 22 Shahed-136/131 strike drones over Odesa oblast.

Two hundred people participated in the final sports games of the Move Towards Victory series supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The games took place in Biliaivka and were organized by Kolos, the All-Ukrainian Physical Culture and Sports Society based in Odesa.

Kherson oblast

According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, russian forces attacked Kherson oblast 2,170 times using drones in the period from 1 September to 26 September. As a result of the attacks, six people were killed, and 110 others, including a child, were injured.

It is reported that russian forces attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson using drones. Two men were injured and taken to hospital with explosive injuries and leg wounds due to the dropping of explosives. Later, a Kherson resident was taken to hospital after being injured by another russian strike on Dniprovskyi district at 1:40pm. As a result of the morning attacks on Kherson, two more men were injured.

Two people were injured by landmines in Kherson oblast. In the morning, a resident  stepped on a russian anti-personnel mine in Kozatske. As a result of the detonation, he suffered an explosive injury and traumatic amputation of his foot. A 71-year-old man also stepped on an anti-personnel mine in Shyroka Balka and sustained an explosive injury, a leg wound, and an amputation of his foot.

Around 5am, the enemy attacked with guided aerial bombs residential areas in the village of Inhulets. Five people were injured, including two children.

The village of Veletenske was also hit by enemy strikes. A 66-year-old man, who was on the street, was injured in the shelling. He suffered an explosive injury, concussion, shrapnel wounds to the abdomen and foot, and traumatic amputation of his forearm.

On 26 September,  the enemy attacked Stanislav, Odradokamianka, Tiahynka, Vesele, Kozatske, Tomyna Balka, Kostyrka, Veletenske, Novodmytrivka, Novooleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Sofiivka, Zmiivka, Novoraisk, Beryslav, Antonivka, Novovorontsovka, Bilozerka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Novotiahynka, Arkhanhelske, Burhunka, and the city of Kherson. 45 objects were damaged in these settlements: 22 private houses, three multi-story buildings, a school, 13 civilian and four police vehicles, and agricultural equipment. One person was killed, and 19 others were injured.

Kherson RMA also reported another casualty from the previous shelling. A 41-year-old man suffered an explosive injury and concussion due to a russian drone attack the day before.

The Defense Forces of southern Ukraine eliminated over 100 occupiers and destroyed 30 units of weaponry and military equipment.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk community sent 25 DJI Mavics of various modifications and their batteries, detonators and EcoFlow charging stations to the 100th Separate Mechanised Brigades.

Zakarpattia oblast

This week, the Owl’s Nest Humanitarian Aid Center provided IDPs registered in Uzhgorod with 13 packages with necessary things for children under 1 year old and 40 bags with grocery sets. During the week, volunteers gave out clothes, shoes, bed linen and dishes (2,045 items) from the PDUM Partnerschaft Deutschland-Ukraine/Moldova e. V., Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen / Wings of Help eV and other benefactors.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk community sent computer equipment worth over UAH 157,000 to the Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun Battalion of the oblast thanks to funds of the regional mobilisation training program.

Oleksandr Sokolyuk, Director of Yaremcha City Hospital, military medic of the 93rd Separate Mechanised Brigade Kholodnyi Yar, was presented with a certificate of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. Oleksandr with the call sign Sokil is the captain of the medical service, saves the lives of soldiers. In addition to wounded soldiers, the killed are also taken away from the battlefield.

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that on the facade of Lyceum №22, plaques were opened to Andrii Lotockyi, Ihor Stefurak and Volodymyr Yemelianou.

Lviv oblast

The oblast sent 450 drones to the military. Funds for it were raised during a charity auction held by Zhydachiv, Khodoriv, ​​Hnizdychiv, Zhuravnen communities and Strii RMA.

Rivne oblast

Rivne energy workers continue to restore power grids in Kherson oblast, which was hit by russian shelling. From October 2022, Rivneoblenerho teams will regularly replace each other in order to return the light to the residents of Kherson oblast as soon as possible. Over the past three weeks, electricians from Mlynivska region have restored electricity supply in Tavriysk Krai, replacing over 60 poles and laying over a km of wires.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil community sent a powerful EcoFlow DELTA PRO charger to the 83rd Separate Battalion of Ground Defense thanks to the budget funds.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Since the beginning of 2024, Khmelnytskyi community has sent over 140 EW and PER devices, over 430 quadcopters and over 5,300 FPV drones to the military.

The RMA held a meeting of the Council of Families of the Fallen of Ukraine, which works under the Ministry of Veterans Affairs. They discussed and adopted a decision regarding the improvement of social protection of the family members of the fallen/deceased defenders of Ukraine.

Bukovyna State Medical University became the winner of 3 grant projects financed by the EU: on the digital transformation of medical education in Ukraine, the use of digital technologies in education and the use of artificial intelligence for the correlation between air pollutants and non-infectious respiratory diseases. The total value of funds allocated to Ukraine is over EUR 740,000.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The US announced a $2.4bn arms production order for Ukraine. This is the 21st such package. This package provides for the allocation of funds under the USAI program – financing and placement of contracts for the production of weapons for Ukraine. Weapons will not be provided from the warehouses of the US Army, but as they are ready. Production and delivery dates are unknown. The package includes: support and ammunition for Ukrainian air defence systems; air-to-ground ammunition; unmanned systems and components to support the Ukrainian industry of UAV production; UAV countermeasures equipment and systems; unmanned boats; secure communication systems; equipment and materials to support the Ukrainian industry of ammunition production; spare parts, maintenance equipment and other support equipment.

The German government stated that the Bundestag supported the government’s proposal to increase the financing of military aid for Ukraine by €400m. This will allow the purchase of additional air defence equipment, tanks, drones, ammunition and spare parts, which will effectively strengthen the Armed Forces on the battlefield.

Emmanuel Macron, French President, announced that the country will prepare and fully equip a Ukrainian brigade.

Kaspar Veldkamp, Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands stated that the country will provide Ukraine with €209.5m for the restoration of critical infrastructure. Funds will be deposited through the EBRD. They will also be directed to humanitarian aid. He added that Ukrainians are preparing for one of the harshest winters, and in order for Ukraine to survive, it needs energy.

Olena Zelenska, First Lady of Ukraine, met with Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden and Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine. They discussed supporting Ukraine.
