What happened in Ukraine today:

Since the beginning of the day, the Russian aggressor has launched 79 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, the settlements of Volfyne, Sopych, Bachivsk, Korenok, Ryzhivka, Yastrubshchyna, Ulanove, Hirky, and Potapivka in Sumy Oblast, as well as Buchky in Chernihiv Oblast, came under fire. Vilna Sloboda was struck by an air attack.

On the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Russian forces launched 11 attacks on Ukrainian positions, with six engagements still ongoing. The enemy also carried out 34 strikes on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including five attacks using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

On the South Slobozhanskyi direction, the invaders made seven attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Lyman, Vovchansk, Artilne, and toward Zybine and Sheviakivka. Two engagements are still underway.

On the Kupiansk direction, the enemy is conducting two attacks toward Kurylivka.

On the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled eight enemy attempts to advance toward Borova, Stavky, Lyman, Dibrova, and Ozerne. Five engagements remain ongoing.

On the Sloviansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 15 enemy attacks toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and near Kryva Luka, Zakitne, and Riznykivka. Two engagements are still in progress.

On the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks toward Tykhonivka.

On the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 16 enemy attacks near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, and Rusyn Yar. Four engagements are still ongoing.

On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces made seven attempts to push Ukrainian troops from their positions near Dorozhne, Novooleksandrivka, and Udachne, and toward Shevchenko and Serhiivka. One engagement is still underway.

On the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attempted three advances near Tolstoi.

On the Huliaipole direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven enemy attacks toward Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Zaliznychne, Tsvitkove, and Charivne. Two engagements continue.

On the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack near Shcherbaky.

On the Prydniprovske direction, no enemy offensive actions have been recorded.

No significant changes have been reported on other directions. No enemy attempts to advance have been observed.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Over the past 24 hours, 268 combat engagements were recorded along the frontline. On the South Slobozhanskyi direction, the Defense Forces repelled two Russian assaults near Hoptivka, while on the Kupiansk direction, they repelled two more attacks toward Novoplatonivka and Kivsharivka, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As of 4:00 p.m., Russian forces had launched seven attacks on the South Slobozhanskyi direction near Lyman, Vovchansk, Artilne, and toward Zybyne and Sheviakivka. Two engagements were still ongoing. On the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops carried out two attacks toward Kurylivka, the General Staff reported.

A Russian drone struck a gas station in Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi District. Overnight, Russian forces also hit the private residential sector of Prudianka in the Derhachi community with a guided aerial bomb (KAB). A private home and outbuildings were damaged, but no casualties were reported, according to community head Viacheslav Zadorenko.

In Krasnokutsk, Bohodukhiv District, three people were injured in a Russian drone strike. The attack sparked a fire that destroyed a 300-square-meter store, while commercial premises and a post office branch were also damaged, according to the Kharkiv Regional State Emergency Service.

In Zolochiv, Russian forces attacked a civilian vehicle. A 28-year-old man was injured, while a 67-year-old woman, a 25-year-old woman, and a five-month-old baby girl suffered acute stress reactions, according to Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleh Syniehubov.

In the village of Petrivka, Zolochiv community, two Molniya drones struck a private household. The resulting fire destroyed a residential house and damaged outbuildings and a tractor. No injuries were reported, according to Zolochiv Military Administration head Viktor Kovalenko.

In Tokarivka Druha, Derhachi community, a Russian FPV drone killed a 57-year-old woman, the village’s last remaining resident. She worked at the Derhachi Central Hospital, the city military administration reported.

A Russian strike on the Valky community caused no casualties but damaged power lines, leaving the community without electricity, according to Mayor Valerii Skrypnichenko.

Over the past day, Kharkiv and nine other settlements in the region came under Russian attack. Three people were killed and 50 were injured, including four children, according to Oleh Syniehubov.

In Kharkiv, a man and a woman, both around 60 years old, were killed. Forty-four people were injured, including boys aged 3, 16, and 17, and a 12-year-old girl. In Shevchenkove, two men aged 48 and 56 and a 22-year-old woman were injured. In Lozova, two men aged 42 and 52 were wounded, while a 67-year-old man was injured on the road between Husynka and Prosianka. In Tsupivka, a 57-year-old woman was killed. Medical teams also treated three people who had been injured in previous Russian attacks.

Over the past day, the Russian military targeted Kyivskyi, Nemyshlianskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of Kharkiv with missiles and drones. Across the region, Russian forces used three missiles, one guided aerial bomb (KAB), one Lancet drone, three Molniya drones, eight FPV drones, and 23 drones of unidentified type.

The attacks damaged residential buildings, two gas stations, an educational institution, a vehicle repair station, railway infrastructure, a repair hangar, power grids, vehicles, and other civilian infrastructure in Kharkiv, as well as in the Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Izium, Kharkiv, Lozova, and Chuhuiv districts.

Since the beginning of 2026, Russian forces have carried out nearly 130 short- and medium-range drone attacks on Kharkiv. Since May, they have regularly employed FPV drones, with more than 30 attacks recorded, injuring 49 people, Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor Yurii Papusha told Suspilne.

The transit evacuation center in Lozova received 193 evacuees over the past day. Since opening, the center has registered 44,789 evacuees, according to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Over the past week, demining teams in Kharkiv Oblast cleared more than 103 hectares of land and neutralized 564 explosive hazards. They surveyed over 40 hectares of farmland, more than 10 kilometers of roads, nearly 21 kilometers of gas pipelines, one kilometer of power lines, over seven hectares of forest, cleared 16 private households, and restored electricity to 16,092 consumers, according to the regional administration.

A Resilience Center has opened in the Krasnokutsk community with support from UNICEF and the governments of Germany, Sweden, and Ireland. The center provides psychological and social services, including a children’s space and consultation rooms. More than 750 people have already received assistance there, according to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

Donetsk oblast

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces launched 29 attacks against Ukrainian Defense Forces on the Kostiantynivka direction near Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, and toward Stepanivka and Oleksandro-Shultyne. On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 38 assaults, while Russian forces carried out 28 attacks on the Sloviansk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces are deploying 200 to 400 FPV drones daily, according to Ivan Biliaiev, a serviceman with the Spartan Brigade.

Russian forces struck a State Emergency Service (SES) ambulance vehicle in the Novodonetske community. No emergency personnel were injured, the SES reported.

In the morning, a Russian FPV drone attacked a parked civilian vehicle in Sloviansk. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and prevented it from spreading to nearby vehicles, according to the Donetsk Regional SES.

Over the past day, Russian forces carried out at least 10 drone strikes on the Kramatorsk community. The attacks targeted the market area, the city center, and residential neighborhoods, according to Ihor Yeskov, spokesperson for the Kramatorsk City Military Administration.

On July 8, Russian forces launched 1,226 strikes on the frontline and civilian areas of Donetsk Oblast. Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, Bilenke, Malotaranivka, Oleksandrivka, Yasnohirka, Mykhailivka, Persha Petrivka, and Spasko-Mykhailivka came under attack. Forty-one civilian sites, including 23 residential buildings, were damaged.

In Kramatorsk, a Russian FPV drone killed a civilian who was inside a car. The city came under eight attacks in total. Damage was reported to an apartment building, four private houses, a shopping center, a gas station, and two civilian vehicles.

In Druzhkivka, Russian forces carried out five strikes, including two KAB-250 guided aerial bombs. Three people were killed and six were injured. Seven private houses and a moped were damaged. Police also confirmed one additional fatality and one more injured person from the July 7 shelling of the city.

In Sloviansk, one person was injured in Russian attacks. Authorities recorded eight impacts, most caused by drones. Damage included an apartment building, two private houses, an administrative building, a store, an outbuilding, railway tracks, and a vehicle.

In Bilenke, a private house was damaged. In Malotaranivka, a private house and a gas station were damaged. In Persha Petrivka, four private houses were damaged. In Mykhailivka, a private house and a vehicle were damaged. In Spasko-Mykhailivka, a truck was damaged.

In temporarily occupied Mariupol, a Russian occupation court sentenced a 20-year-old local woman to 13 years in prison, accusing her of allegedly spying on the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardia), according to the Mariupol City Council.

Luhansk oblast

The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a Russian ammunition depot in temporarily occupied Sorokyne in Luhansk Oblast. Ukrainian forces also hit 12 tankers, one tugboat, and one dry cargo vessel in the Sea of Azov, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces shelled Luhansk Oblast three times with tube artillery and once with a multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). They also deployed five drones. On the Lyman direction, Russian troops made 15 attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near eight settlements.

In temporarily occupied Luhansk Oblast, the occupation authorities in Kreminna are refusing to evacuate children from the frontline city or send them to summer recreation camps. According to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, around 1,000 children remain in the district, while Russian forces are using them as a “human shield.”

A severe labor shortage continues in occupied Luhansk Oblast. Following an all-Russian job fair, only 46 applicants responded to 3,850 vacancies—just over 1%. Nearly 99% of positions remained unfilled despite Russian financial incentive programs and other recruitment efforts.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

During the July 8 Russian attack on Kyiv, the publishing house of the children’s magazine Yasne Sonechko (Bright Sun) was completely destroyed by fire, Detector Media reported.

A Russian drone struck a residential building in Kyiv’s Desnianskyi District, where the magazine’s editorial office was located. According to Editor-in-Chief Vadym Doroshenko, nothing remains of the premises except charred walls.

Despite losing its office, the editorial team says it plans to resume its work.

More than UAH 1.1 billion has been allocated this year for the repair of bomb shelters and protective shelters in Kyiv, Mayor Vitalii Klitschko announced. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the capital has renovated nearly 3,000 protective shelters. Kyiv currently has more than 4,300 shelters of various types.

On July 10, Kyiv will bid farewell to journalist and serviceman Ivan Trembovetskyi. The memorial ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, after which the funeral procession will proceed to Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square), where the public will be able to pay their final respects.

Ivan Trembovetskyi was a broadcast editor at TET TV. He had defended Ukraine since 2014, fighting in Debaltseve, Pisky, and the defense of Donetsk Airport. Following the start of the full-scale invasion, he served with Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) and later with the 238th Separate Unmanned Systems Battalion “Black Falcon.” He was killed on July 5 on the Sumy front.

The 3rd Boxing Tournament in memory of Oleksii Dzhunkivskyi—an international-class master of sport and top-level boxing coach who was executed by Russian troops during the occupation of Irpin in 2022—was held in Bucha. This year’s tournament brought together 86 boxers from Kyiv and 15 cities and communities across Kyiv Oblast.

Zhytomyr oblast

In Zhytomyr, a support space for veterans and their families is being established at the Roman Catholic Seminary Church of St. John of Dukla. The facility will provide a place where veterans can connect with one another, reintegrate into civilian life, and receive psychological support.

As of July 6, renovation work had largely been completed. The space now includes renovated rooms, an installed elevator, a kitchen, accessible restrooms for people with disabilities, and furniture.

The project was created in cooperation with the 95th Separate Polissia Air Assault Brigade, according to the church’s superior, Benedykt Świderski.


Sumy oblast

Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of Sumy City Military Administration, reported that Mayor  of Stetskivskyi starosta district was injured in an attack by a fibre-optic FPV drone on 9 July. The injured official was taken to a medical facility and is receiving treatment. An official vehicle was also damaged.

Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar said that at around 3:10pm on 9 July, an enemy Lancet UAV struck the roof of an apartment building in Zarichnyi district of Sumy. One person was injured in the attack.

Kostiantyn Havrylchuk, Head of Putyvl community, informed that an employee of the starosta office was injured in a russian attack. He is receiving medical treatment. Enemy forces struck the administrative building twice.

According to the State Emergency Service of Sumy oblast, an enemy UAV struck a shopping centre building in Bilopollia community. The roof and structural elements caught fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished all the fires.

The Regional Military Administration reported that from the morning of 8 July to the morning of 9 July, russian forces carried out nearly 50 attacks on 25 settlements across 13 territorial communities in Sumy oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted for 12 hours and 42 minutes during the reporting period.

The Regional Military Administration informed that, as of the morning of 9 July, one person had been injured in enemy attacks across Sumy oblast over the previous 24 hours. Destruction and damage to private residential houses, vehicles and civilian infrastructure facilities were also recorded:

▪️ In Znob-Novhorodske community, a 56-year-old man was injured in an artillery attack, and a private residential house was destroyed;

▪️ In Seredyna-Buda community, one private residential house was destroyed and another was damaged. A 46-year-old man sought medical assistance after being injured in an enemy drone strike in the community on 7 July;

▪️ In Esman community, a private residential house was destroyed;

▪️ In Sumy community, a non-residential building, a civilian infrastructure facility, a private residential house, an outbuilding and a vehicle were damaged;

▪️ In Vorozhba community, a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Berezivka community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;

▪️ In Bilopollia community, a shopping centre building was damaged;

▪️ In Lypova Dolyna community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;

▪️ In Shostka community, outbuildings were destroyed and a private residential house was damaged;

▪️ In Hlukhiv community, a private residential house, a civilian infrastructure facility and non-residential buildings were damaged;

▪️ In Shalyhyne community, a private residential house was damaged.

Over the past 24 hours, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and non-governmental organisations, evacuated nine people from border communities.

Chernihiv oblast

The National Police of Chernihiv oblast reported that at around 10:40pm on 8 July, russian forces struck the grounds of a church in Koriukivka by a UAV. No injuries were reported. The building’s windows and façade were damaged.

Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that on 8 July, russian forces attacked four settlements in the border communities of Semenivka and Snovsk in Chernihiv oblast. The enemy carried out six mortar strikes, one FPV drone strike and dropped one explosive device from a UAV.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, reported that a 52-year-old man was injured in Chervonohryhorivka community. The occupiers shelled the regional centre, Pokrovske rural community and Marhanets community by artillery and drones. 5 apartment buildings and 6 private houses, a school of arts, an enterprise, solar panels, power lines and gas pipelines were damaged.

As a result of yesterday’s KAB strike on Mykolaivka community, 7 private houses, 2 outbuildings, a vehicle and a power line were damaged. A UAV attack in Solone community damaged a gas station.

The occupiers struck Vasylkivka community by a KAB and Mykolaivka community by a UAV. Infrastructure was damaged there. A UAV attack in Slobozhanske community caused an outbuilding to catch fire. The enemy attacked the regional centre, Pokrovske rural community and Chervonohryhorivka community by drones and artillery. 2 apartment buildings, 2 private houses, an outbuilding, a garage, 2 vehicles and a greenhouse were damaged. Hrushivka community was hit by an FPV drone. A UAV attack in Pavlohrad caused a fire.

Vinnytsia oblast

A 61-year-old Latvian, Aigars Stonis, completed a charity walking campaign in Vinnytsia that had started in Latvia. Over 52 days, he covered 1,400 km to raise funds for a mobile dental clinic for Ukrainian defenders.

Poltava oblast

Lokhvytsia community paid tribute to National Guard serviceman Bohdan Bubyr and his fiance, Diana Pravdina. They were killed on 6 July as a result of a russian missile strike on a residential building in Kyiv.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head  of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that 1 person was killed and 3 injured as a result of a russian strike on a gas station in Zaporizhzhia. Cars and the gas station itself burned down.

More than 40 apartments were damaged by the blast wave following the russian shelling of Zaporizhzhia. One person was injured.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, the Defence Forces repelled 32 russian attacks in Huliaipole and Orikhiv regions. In particular, russian forces launched assaults near Huliaipilske, Novoselivka, Verkhnia Tersa and in the directions of Hirke, Rybne, Dobropillia, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Kosivtseve, Charivne, Stepove and Shcherbaky.

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that the russian military launched 934 strikes on 52 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast over the past day. The enemy used aircraft, various types of UAVs (primarily FPV drones), MLRS and artillery. 8 people were injured as a result of attacks on the regional centre and Zaporizhzhia oblast.

Mykolaiv oblast

Based on the information provided by Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, the transport infrastructure was targeted twice by drone attacks today. A 45-year-old man was injured. He was hospitalised in moderate condition. Trucks and equipment were damaged.

The russian forces attacked communities in Mykolaiv oblast by drones on 8 July and on the morning of 9 July. A warehouse, a sanatorium building and a country house were damaged in the oblast.

Odesa oblast

Referring to the Air Force of Ukraine, in the evening, a jet-powered UAV was detected flying from the Black Sea towards Pivdenne and Chornomorske.

Odesa RMA reported that in the morning, UAVs were detected over the Black Sea heading towards Odesa and in the direction of Biliaivka/Teplodar from the north.

The Air Command South reported on 8 July, the russian military attacked Odesa oblast by 2 Kh-31 anti-radiation missiles and 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles.

Kherson oblast

Relying on the information provided by Kherson RMA, at around 5:30pm, a 61-year-old man came under russian shelling in the central part of Kherson. He sustained blast injuries.

A 50-year-old woman was injured after coming under a russian drone attack in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson at around 4:35pm. As a result of the UAV strike, she sustained blast injuries and a shrapnel wound to her shoulder. She is currently receiving the necessary medical care.

At around 2:10pm, russian forces attacked the central part of Kherson by a UAV. An elderly man was injured in the drone strike. He sustained blast injuries, a closed traumatic brain injury, a concussion and shrapnel wounds to the head, back and knee.

At around 1pm, russian forces again attacked the central part of Kherson by a drone. A 68-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds and acute stress reactions.

6 people were injured after a russian drone struck a route bus in the central part of Kherson. Women aged 52 and 73 were diagnosed with concussions, shrapnel wounds to their limbs, blast injuries and closed traumatic brain injuries. Women aged 51, 38, 40 and 76 were taken to hospital. They sustained concussions, blast injuries and closed traumatic brain injuries, while 2 of them suffered shrapnel wounds. A 74-year-old man sustained a concussion, blast injuries and a closed traumatic brain injury. A 60-year-old man sustained a concussion, blast injuries and a closed traumatic brain injury.

At around 10:40am, russian forces carried out an airstrike on Muzykivka community. A 60-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were injured. Both were diagnosed with concussions, blast injuries and closed traumatic brain injuries. The resident sustained a shrapnel wound to the head and a back contusion.

At around 10:30am, russian forces attacked a public transport stop in the central part of Kherson by a drone. A 60-year-old man came under the strike. He sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his arm and leg. A 43-year-old man sustained a concussion, blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the neck and back.

At around 10:30am, 2 people were injured on a highway in Kherson oblast as a result of a russian airstrike. A 54-year-old woman and a 57-year-old man were traveling in a car when the strike occurred. They sustained blast injuries and concussions.

At around 10:20am, russian forces attacked the central part of Kherson by a UAV. A 55-year-old man walking down the street came under the attack. He sustained shrapnel wounds to his leg, a concussion, blast injuries and a closed traumatic brain injury.

At around 10am, russian forces attacked Tsentralnyi district of Kherson by a drone. A 60-year-old woman sustained blast injuries, a concussion and an acute stress reaction.

At around 9am, a teenager was injured in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson as a result of a russian drone attack. The 16-year-old boy was diagnosed with a concussion, blast injuries and a closed traumatic brain injury.

At around 8:30am, russian forces attacked an elderly man by a drone in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. The 77-year-old resident sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his torso, arms and legs.

At around 7:50am, a man was injured in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson due to a russian drone attack. The 57-year-old resident was diagnosed with blast injuries, a concussion and an acute stress reaction.

At around 7:30am, russian forces struck a vehicle by an FPV drone in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A man and a woman were killed in the strike. Their identities are currently being established.

A man who came under an enemy drone attack in the central part of Kherson was injured. The 64-year-old resident sustained blast injuries and a shrapnel wound to his leg.

The russian forces attacked a resident by a UAV in the central part of Kherson. The 61-year-old man was diagnosed with blast injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds to his torso and limbs.

Today, russian forces attacked a man by a drone in the central part of Kherson. The 54-year-old resident was diagnosed with blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his face.

2 men were injured in a russian drone attack in Korabelnyi district of Kherson during the night. The 53-year-old victim was diagnosed with blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to his legs. The other, a 46-year-old resident, sustained severe injuries, including blast injuries, a closed traumatic brain injury, a concussion and shrapnel wounds to the abdomen.

Yesterday morning, russian forces killed a man in Antonivka. The 72-year-old resident came under an enemy UAV attack and sustained injuries incompatible with life.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Holob community honored serviceman Oleksandr Savchuk from the village of Maryanivka, who returned home after two years in russian captivity. Since the defender was unable to attend, his mother received the award.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA reported that the oblast received almost 500 children from Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk and Kyiv oblast during June.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

The 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hero of Ukraine Valerii Hudzys, where Andrii Hrymaliuk, Ivano-Frankivsk City Council deputy, serves, was sent Tarhan ground drones purchased with funds from the deputy fund of the Svoboda political party.

Lviv oblast

The RMA reported that 400 children from frontline communities in Kharkiv and Sumy oblasts rested in Lviv oblast this summer as part of the Carpathian Shift.

Rivne oblast

In the 1st half of this year, 22 children were adopted. For comparison: in the entire last year, 23 children received a new family. Another 114 children were placed in foster care, and 15 were placed in foster families and family-type orphanages. The following operate in Rivne oblast: 56 foster families; 24 family-type orphanages; 25 foster families.

Ternopil oblast

45 defenders from Ternopil will receive one-time financial assistance to purchase equipment and technical means. Since the beginning of the year, such funds have been provided to 3,067 soldiers from the community, and in 2025, funds were provided to 3,243 soldiers.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The RMA reported that an interactive program Archival Adventures: The Path of a Researcher was held for children from the families of fallen Defenders.

Chernivtsi oblast

Since the beginning of 2025, Bukovina law enforcement officers, together with other authorized services, have identified 460 bodies of fallen Ukrainian servicemen who were sent to Ukraine as part of repatriation measures. Since the beginning of the year, 800 bodies of unidentified defenders of Ukraine, transferred by the russian side, have been delivered to Chernivtsi Regional Bureau of Forensic Medical Examination.
