It has been the 945 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On 25 September, the occupiers continue to use aviation, particularly KABs, and are actively attacking Ukrainian defenders’ positions, especially towards Pokrovsk and Kurakhove. The Defense Forces hold the lines and are taking all necessary measures to prevent a breakthrough in the defense.

There were 88 engagements on the front line.

The aggressor continues to use artillery and aviation towards the territories of Chernihiv and Sumy oblasts. The vicinities of Mazepivka, Liubymivka, Hremyachka, Kamianska Sloboda, Popivka, Stukalivka, and Vovkivka came under russian fire. Additionally, russia’s air force struck the vicinities of Obody, Iskrivshchyna, Hravske, and Richky, dropping ten guided aerial bombs. According to available information, russians launched ten airstrikes towards Kursk region, using 20 KABs.

Towards Kharkiv, three combat engagements took place today. Ukrainian troops repelled an attack near Vovchansk, and two engagements near Tykhe are still ongoing.

Three assaults by invaders were repelled by Ukrainian warriors near Lozova and Kruhlyakivka towards Kupiansk. A battle is underway near Synkivka.

Towards Lyman, russia is attacking near Hrekivka, Novosadove, and Bilohorivka. There were seven engagements, with three still ongoing.

Towards Siversk, the occupiers are actively using aviation. Siversk was hit by KABs, and Fedorivka came under attack from unguided aerial rockets.

Fighting continues towards Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, and Klishchiivka in Kramatorsk region, where russia is attempting to push back Ukrainian defenders.

Towards Toretsk, russians, with support from assault and bomber aviation, attacked Ukrainian troops’ positions six times. Currently, battles are ongoing near Shcherbynivka and Nelipivka.

The hottest spot is towards Pokrovsk. Intense battles are ongoing near Novotoretske, Lysivka, Novohrodivka, Selidove, and Kostiantynivka. russians have attempted 33 assaults on Ukrainian positions.

Towards Kurakhove, seven engagements are taking place near Tsukuryno, Hirnyk, and Heorhiivka. Eleven russian assaults have already been repelled by Ukrainian defenders.

Towards Vremivka, four assaults near Vuhledar and Vodiane were repelled, and four more assaults are still underway.

Towards Orikhiv, three unsuccessful russian attacks were repelled by Ukrainian defenders. The invaders are actively using aviation to strike vicinities near Novoandriivka and Kamianske.

Towards Kherson, russians launched airstrikes on Kherson and Burhunka using aerial bombs and unguided rockets.

The Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is taking all necessary measures to contain the enemy’s advance.

 The Ministry of Defense has approved mobile workshops for weapons repairs. The department notes that the Ukrainian-made mobile repair workshops for military equipment allow most repair tasks to be performed in the field, saving time and resources on transporting equipment to and from rear repair and maintenance stations.

Ukraine has developed a new starting signal for marathons to replace the sound of a pistol shot. The new starting sound was presented at the First Barrier-Free Marathon in Kyiv on September 22. The idea behind the project is to reimagine the sound of a pistol shot, which can retraumatize people with PTSD, veterans, and those with experiences of armed violence. The new sounds were tested with veterans diagnosed with PTSD and runners, with neurologists monitoring their brain reactions. The signal sound was created by artists from the Los Angeles-based sound agency Barking Owl and Ukrainian artists Khrystyna Kirik and Stanislav Sidletskyi. The selected sound includes a countdown, a starting signal with samples of the Ukrainian trembita, and an echo that lasts until participants begin the race.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

The General Staff’s updated on the situation towards Kharkiv as of 4pm that 3 bettles comtinue.

There were three combat engagements towards Kharkiv today. Ukrainian troops repelled a russian attack near Vovchansk. Two firefights near Tykhe are still ongoing.

Three russian assault attacks were repelled near Lozova and Kruhliakivka towards Kupiansk. Fighting continues near Synkivka.

At 2am, S-400 missile attacks were recorded in Bilashi village, Kharkiv region. Three hits on the territory of a farm. A hangar, two tractors, a car and four trailers were damaged.

There were no casualties.

At 5:58am, russians attacked Vasyshchevo village of Bezliudivka community, Kharkiv region. A hit from an open area. There were no casualties and no damage.

At 2:03am, russians attacked Bilashi village of Derhachi community, Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, a tractor trailer and garbage were on fire. A hangar was destroyed.

At 3:45pm, russians attacked Kharkiv. The shelling of a civilian enterprise destroyed a water bottling plant.

Volodymyr Tymoshko, Head of the Regional Police Department, reported that when the russian bomb hit the bakery in Kharkiv, 10 people were in the shop. One person was killed and eight injured.

At 3:40 pm, russians attacked Kyivskyi district. The shelling damaged 9 buildings and broke 288 windows.

The State Emergency Service said that the death toll from the air strikes on Kharkiv has risen to four. Rescuers have recovered the body of a killed woman from the rubble of a house. To get to it, they had to dismantle many destroyed building structures and remove several dozen tonnes of construction waste. The work was complicated by constant air raids.

In total, 36 people were injured and 4 were killed in the shelling of Kharkiv on 24 September. 17 people were hospitalised, 4 of them critically. Others were treated on an outpatient basis.

At 3:43 pm, the enemy attacked Saltivskyi district. The shelling destroyed a garage and damaged 3 educational institutions.

At 4:51pm, the enemy attacked Bohuslavka village of Borova community, Izium region.

A residential building was destroyed as a result of the shelling.

At 4:36pm, the enemy attacked Velyka Komyshuvakha village of Barvinkove community, Izium region. A tractor exploded on an explosive device in an open area. The 19-year-old driver was injured.

At 4:10 pm, the enemy attacked Kupiansk. As a result of the shelling the roof of a two-storey building was on fire. A 57-year-old woman was wounded and a 93-year-old woman old killed.

At 2:38pm, russians attacked Kurylivka village of Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, grass on an area of 800 sq m and a building were burned.

At 2:35pm, russians attacked Varvarivka village of Chuhuiv region. A 61-year-old man was killed as a result of enemy shelling with an FPV drone.

At 1:58pm, russians attacked Bohuslavka village of Borova community, Izium region. As a result of the shelling, grass burned over an area of 15,000 sq m.

At 10am, russians attacked Varvarivka village of Chuhuiv region. A house was damaged as a result of enemy shelling with an FPV drone. A 77-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were injured.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy attempted three assaults near Vovchansk.

Towards Kupiansk, there were 12 enemy attacks. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Synkivka, Andriivka, Kruhliakivka, Pishchane, Stelmakhivka and Lozova.

The russian army lost 67 servicemen towards Kharkiv yesterday, 30 of them were killed. According to the Kharkiv operational-strategic group, russian troops also lost 87 pieces of equipment, 46 shelters, four ammunition storage sites and a field command post.

The press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate reported, citing a special forces officer with the call sign Vikinh, that about two dozen occupants were captured at the aggregate plant in Vovchansk, and several dozen more were killed. Four invaders were killed when they tried to leave the aggregate plant. The battle for the plant lasted over a week.

Volodymyr Tymoshko, Head of Kharkiv police, commenting on the morning attack by a russian bomb on Vasyshcheve, south of Kharkiv, said that FAB and CAB launched from Belgorod region of russia can reach up to 100km.

A veterans’ forum was held in Kharkiv oblast, attended by our defenders, representatives of relevant ministries, heads of districts, communities and NGOs. Almost 40,000 veterans are currently registered in Kharkiv oblast. Over UAH 627m has been allocated from the regional budget for the implementation of the regional support programme over four years, including financial assistance to families of fallen soldiers and veterans with disabilities.

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska donated unique books to the Harvard Library that were burnt as a result of a russian missile attack on the Vivat printing house in Kharkiv. The enemy shelling killed seven employees and destroyed 150,000 textbooks.

Donetsk oblast

At 3:40pm, the russians struck Kramatorsk with two FAB-250 bombs from the UMPK. According to preliminary police reports, three apartment buildings (nine- and five-storey) and a garage cooperative were damaged. Due to the partial collapse, people were trapped in some entrances, which were later cleared by the State Emergency Service. As of now, there are 21 dead and 21 injured, including three children.

Yesterday russians attacked 18 settlements in Donetsk oblast and as a result, three people were killed and five civilians injured.

Police recorded 2,967 hostile attacks on the frontline and residential areas.

42 civilian objects were damaged, including 20 residential buildings.

The occupiers shelled Pokrovsk twice with artillery, killing two civilians and damaging three private houses and two cars. An officer of Pokrovsk regional police department was injured and a police car damaged.

Lsdo russia struck Kostiantynivka with two FAB-250 bombs with a UMPK module and a Smerch MRLs, killing a civilian and injuring two others. The administrative building, service station, boiler house and heating network were damaged.

The enemy shelled Kurakhove with artillery and drones, wounding a man and damaging an apartment building and an administrative building.

A civilian was injured in Myrnohrad as a result of a drone strike. Another person was wounded in Sukhyi Yar.

The russians dropped three FAB-250 bombs with an UMPK module on Mykolaivka, damaging 8 apartment buildings and 4 private houses, an enterprise, a gas pipeline and power grids.

Tamara Mashkova, a specialist of Oleksandrivka Village Military Administration, reported that for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia, the russian occupation army shelled Zoloti Prudy village in Kramatorsk region, targeting residential buildings. Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, said that a 34-year-old resident of the village was wounded.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of the RMA, said that about 1,500 people remain in frontline Toretsk. It’s almost impossible to get into the city, but locals have food and water supplies.

Ruslan Mykula, co-founder of the Deep State project, stated that if Vuhledar is lost, the russian army will try to surround Kurakhove from the south. Vadym Filashkin added that sabotage and reconnaissance groups are entering the city and are being eliminated by the Ukrainian military. Vuhledar is under the control of the Ukrainian army.

Luhansk oblast

Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that heavy fighting is taking place around Makiivka and Balka Zhuravka. The enemy is shelling the villages and the area using all available weapons. They are using cannon artillery, multiple rocket launchers and unmanned aerial vehicles. Yesterday alone, the occupiers sent about 50 UAVs in this direction. Ukrainian troops are holding the line.

The invaders also attempted to storm the area near Stelmakhivka, Andriivka, Hrekivka and Bilohorivka.

The kremlin has uncovered corruption schemes that have siphoned off billions of budgetary rubles. In each occupied region, the owners of the schemes have allegedly been found, whose activities have been ignored by neither law enforcement nor the kremlin’s supervisors for more than two years.

In Sieverskodonetsk, the occupiers finally began to offer Internet installation. Together with the equipment, the work costs from rub  25,000 to 100,000. $ 1,000 for the connection. The price depends not on the district, but on the floor. There is no alternative so far.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of RMA, reported that the enemy attacked Kyiv oblast with drones at night. There were no hits to critical or residential infrastructure. The wreckage of the downed enemy targets was recorded within one of the settlements.

Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced that three servicemen of the russian Armed Forces were notified of suspicion of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder. Law enforcers identified the commanders of the russian Guard who gave orders and, together with other soldiers, participated in the shooting of civilians in Hostomel.

In Kyiv oblast, the UNITED24 programme has restored an apartment building in Hostomel that was destroyed by russians in March 2022. The RMA, under the UNITED24 programme, Kyiv oblast is restoring 18 apartment buildings and 3 schools in Brovary and Vyshhorod regions.

The Regional Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service reported that in Borodianka, the reconstruction of a 5-storey residential building, which was destroyed at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the russian army in 2022, is nearing completion.

A regional office of Made in Ukraine has been opened in Bila Tserkva to support micro and small businesses in Kyiv oblast. According to the Regional Military Administration, this is the second office in the oblast, the first one started operating in June in Obukhiv. As of today, 1,562 entrepreneurs in Kyiv oblast have already received UAH 367m in microgrants to start or develop businesses during the war, and another UAH 43m in grants have been awarded to 43 combatants or their spouses.

The European Investment Bank has provided Kyiv with €50m to upgrade its subway wagons. According to Kyiv City State Administration, this is the first part of a loan to ensure the reliable operation of the subway and stable passenger transportation. They noted that before the war, about 80% of the rolling stock of the capital’s subway was russian-made. The replacement of outdated cars with modern energy-efficient analogues will eliminate the need for Kyiv to buy spare parts and equipment for subway maintenance from russia.

The U-Cycle NGO reported that on Sunday, 29 September, a charity bike parade of girls will be held in Kyiv to raise donations for air defence equipment to protect Kyiv and other oblasts of Ukraine. 

Zhytomyr oblast

Andrii Zabihailo, Head of the city council’s Department for Veterans Affairs, informed that eight more veterans and their families will receive financial compensation for the purchase of housing in Zhytomyr. They are to be paid about UAH 17m. According to him, the money will be given to servicemen with disabilities who were injured and have disabilities of groups I-II as a result of the russian-Ukrainian war.

Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the Regional Military Administration, announced that in 2024, UAH 628m was reserved by budgets of all levels for winterisation in Zhytomyr oblast. The oblast is actively preparing for the heating season, 60% of boiler houses run on alternative fuels, one of the cogeneration units has already been connected in Zhytomyr, and 4 medical facilities have been provided with solar panels.

Korostyshiv community was visited by a representative of the Ministry of Veterans and the Children of Heroes Charitable Foundation as part of a large-scale and long-term project to help the families of fallen defenders of Ukraine. The purpose of this visit was to provide comprehensive support to children who lost one or both parents as a result of russian aggression.

Sumy oblast

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Sumy oblast reported that on 25 September, the russian army struck the residential sector of one of the settlements in Sumy oblast. As a result of the attack, a civilian car caught fire, and the flames spread to a residential house and a summer kitchen. There was a risk of the fire spreading to other buildings. The fire was extinguished, and according to preliminary reports, no one was injured.

During night and morning, russians carried out 35 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 85 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Khotin, Bilopillia, Myropilia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Richky, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Shalyhyne, Esman, Svesa communities.

During the day, 23 September, russians carried out 90 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 191 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Mykolaivka, Khotin, Myropilia, Bilopillia, Richky, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne, Druzhbivka, Seredyna-Buda communities.  

Velyka Pysarivka community: the enemy fired by mortars (27 explosions), artillery (2 explosions), FPV-drones (10 explosions), by MLRS (20 explosions), dropped projectiles of the VOG UAV type (4 explosions).

Sumy community: an airstrike by GAB (3 explosions).

Richky community: an airstrike by GAB (1 explosion).

Esman community: russians dropped 7 mines on the territory of the community. There were also shellings using FPV drones (4 explosions).

Bilopillia community: airstrikes by GAB (4 explosions), mortar shelling (21 explosions), FPV drone shelling (1 explosion), tank shelling (11 explosions).

Krasnopillia community: the enemy struck by artillery (8 explosions), FPV drones (9 explosions), dropped a VOG-type projectile from UAVs (8 explosions).

Putyvl community: an airstrike by GAB (3 explosions) and FPV drone attacks (2 explosions).

Nova Slobidka community:  airstrikes by GAB (9 explosions),and FPV drone strikes (2 explosions), as result one civilian was killed.

Shalyhyne community: The enemy launched airstrikes by GAB (5 explosions) and mortar strikes (6 explosions).

Khotin community:  an airstrike by GAB (1 explosion), shelling by “Geran” UAVs (1 explosion).

Mykolaivka community: an airstrike by GAB (1 explosion).

Druzhbivka community: attacks by FPV-drones (13 explosions).

Hlukhiv community:  attacks by FPV-drones (5 explosions).

Myropilia community:  attacks by FPV-drones (2 explosions).

Seredyna-Buda community: attacks by FPV-drones (3 explosions).

The Ministry of Energy reported that in Sumy oblast, 919 customers in 3 settlements were left without electricity due to russian shelling. In total, 6.700 customers in the region remain without power.

Chernihiv oblast

During the day, russian forces attacked six villages in three border communities in Chernihiv oblast. The fire was carried out using artillery and mortars, and drones were also used to drop explosives from UAVs. A total of 49 explosions were reported.

Novhorod-Siverskyi community:

  • 5 explosions, likely by FPV-drone on Krasnyi Khutir villages;
  • 6 explosions, likely explosive devices from UAVs and six explosions, likely 120mm mortar nearby Buchky village;
  • 2 explosions, likely explosive devices from UAVs on Hremiach village.

Semenivka community:

  • 6 explosions, likely by barrel artillery on Mchy village;
  • 1 explosion, likely by barrel artillery towards Mykolaivka village.

Snovsk community:

  • 23 explosions, likely by MLPS nearby Polissia village.

No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.

The Department of Civil Protection and Defense of Chernihiv RMA reported that on 24 September, russian forces fired from multiple rocket launch systems towards Polissia in Chernihiv region, resulting in 23 explosions. Near Polissia, in Horodnia community, a forest ground fire covering 5 hectares occurred, caused by the hits of ammunition and debris from military actions.

The State Emergency Service of Chernihiv oblast informed that from 1 August to 23 September, 2024, there have been 58 fires in the border areas of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Koriukivskyi and Chernihiv regions — due to russian shelling.

According to acting Mayor of Chernihiv, Oleksandr Lomako, seven new garbage trucks worth a total of UAH 34m will be introduced.The garbage trucks are being provided to Chernihiv by partners from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of the project “Transformational Recovery for People’s Safety in Ukraine,” funded by the Government of Japan.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening, on 24 September, the occupiers attacked Nikopol region. They attacked the regional centre and Marhanets community with kamikaze drones. A private house was damaged. At night, Nikopol was shelled with artillery. In the morning, on 25 September, drone attacks on the region centre resumed. The consequences are being clarified. It was loud in Synelnykove region. An unused building caught fire due to a russian attack. The fire was extinguished by rescuers. A 50-year-old man, who was injured in an enemy missile attack on Kryvyi Rih, died in hospital.

At night, the Air Armed systems were operating in the oblast, destroying 5 enemy Shaheds. 

There was an attack on Dniprovskyi district. A fire broke out there, burning a private garage and two cars. Rescuers successfully extinguished the fire. There were no casualties.

During the day,  25 September, the enemy attacked the Nikopol region about two dozen times. They used kamikaze drones, artillery, and dropped ammunition from drones. They targeted the district centre, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovsk communities. An educational institution, 5 private houses, infrastructure, an outbuilding, a car, solar panels and a power line were The Air Armed forces were also operating in the area. The defenders of the sky shot down an enemy drone.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​It became known that twelve defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were killed. In particular, Bohdan Romanchuk, Serhii Ostapchuk, Pavlo Lysytsia, Andrii Yuzvenko, Mykola Hrechun, Roman Mishchenko, Vasyl Bahrii, Vasyl Kartovyi, Oleksandr Honcharuk, Oleh Momont, Viktor Vitovych and Hennadii Kernychnyi.

Two veterans from Vinnytsia oblast were included in the national team of Ukraine to participate in international sports competitions. These are Yaroslav Finohenov and Armen Harybian. The international sports competition Arnold Classic Europe will take place on 11-13 October 2024 in Madrid.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, announced that the Air Armed systems were operating over Kirovohrad oblast. Enemy drones were destroyed. There were no casualties or damage. 

Poltava oblast

In Poltava, the Defenders of Ukraine said goodbye. Viktor Vlasenko served in the assault brigade of the Luty police, he was killed in Donetsk oblast.

Ruslan Kabak was a driver of a rifle unit, he died of injuries in a hospital in Kharkiv. 

Anton Dmytruk was a National Guard soldier, he died in Luhansk oblast. 

Vitalii Tsiluiko from Hadiach and Yurii Verbenko from Kremenchuk died in the war with russia. Both fell in Donetsk oblast.

A memorial plaque was unveiled in Poltava in memory of soldier Ihor Doroshenko. He died of injuries he received in the war in April 2023. The plaque was placed on the facade of Lyceum №26.

Cherkasy oblast

Air defence was working over Cherkasy oblast. Three “chessmen” were destroyed. There were no casualties or damage. 

In Palanka community, Oleksandr Memruk, who died in the war, was laid to rest. He did not return from a combat mission in the Sumy oblast.

In Cherkasy, they said goodbye to Junior Sergeant Mykhailo Push, who fell in the war. He was killed in Luhansk oblast.

A rehabilitation unit for military and civilians has been opened in a hospital in Cherkasy oblast. It is designed for 30 people who are treated as inpatients. The hospital has physical and occupational therapy rooms equipped with simulators to restore mobility and gait. Rehabilitation is free of charge, and the treatment period is individual for each patient.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On the night of 24 September, around 9:30pm, the enemy launched four strikes on Zaporizhzhia. As a result of the attack, one house was destroyed, and several dozen others were damaged. Three people were rescued from the rubble of the collapsed house.

Yesterday, russian forces conducted 397 strikes on eight settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. They carried out seven airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Levadne, Bilohiria and Novoandriivka. 239 UAVs of various types attacked Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Levadne and Malynivka. Seven MLRS attacks hit Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Robotyne. Additionally, 144 artillery strikes targeted Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Levadne. There were 202 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. One person was killed, and seven others were injured in russian attacks.

Part of the population remains without power in the village of Balabyne due to the russian shelling on the evening of 24 September. The attack damaged the entire energy infrastructure of the village and destroyed a forest plantation outside the settlement.

Three people remain in medical facilities in Zaporizhzhia due to injuries from recent russian shelling. According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, a 48-year-old woman is in critical condition in intensive care following the night shelling on 25 September. Two children, injured during the attack on 23 September, are in the surgery department.

It is reported that russian forces made three unsuccessful assaults towards Orikhiv. The occupiers are actively using aviation in the areas around Novoandriivka and Kamianske.

According to Andrii Kovalenko, Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, russia is using the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant as a training ground for FPV drone pilots of the russian army. The pilots reportedly use the city of Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk oblast as their testing range.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of 25 September, air defence forces destroyed two Shahed 131/136 drones in Mykolaiv oblast. 

Yesterday, on 24 September, at 2:25pm, the enemy attacked a car in Kutsurub community with an FPV-type drone. The passenger and the driver of the vehicle were injured.

Odesa oblast

The enemy attacked Odesa oblast last night with four guided air missiles, X-59/69. It is known that a rocket, presumably an X-59/69, hit an open area, where dry grass caught fire over an area of 100 sq m. The fire was quickly extinguished. Fragments damaged two trucks passing nearby.

As of the morning of 25 September, there was one enemy ship in the Black Sea, and one carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to 16 missiles was present in the Mediterranean Sea.

Over the past day, 10 vessels passed through the Kerch Strait in the interests of russia, and another 8 ships passed into the Sea of Azov.

On the morning of 25 September, a rally took place in Odesa in support of prisoners of war and the missing. Families of prisoners of war attended the rally to draw attention and seek answers from the International Committee of the Red Cross regarding violations of international humanitarian law and the Geneva Convention on the treatment of prisoners.

Kherson oblast

Today, the enemy shelled Kherson. In the morning, the enemy dropped two guided bombs on Dniprovskyi district. As a result of the attack, a cultural institution was damaged. A 24-year-old woman was injured during the morning shelling of Central district of Kherson. She suffered an explosive injury and a concussion. An 80-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries. A 48-year-old local woman was also taken to the hospital with an explosive injury, a concussion, facial, and forearm wounds. Around 15:40, the occupying forces attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson again. As a result, two men received explosive injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds to their limbs. During another shelling, a 54-year-old man received an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his shoulder.

An 82-year-old woman, who was injured during yesterday’s shelling of Veletenske, also sought medical help. She was diagnosed with an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to her face.

Today, the russians attacked Antonivka, injuring four people. A 57-year-old man was diagnosed with shrapnel wounds to both legs. Later, a 74-year-old man was taken to the hospital with an explosive injury, leg and forearm wounds. A 60-year-old man also received medical assistance on site. He suffered an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his arm. A 22-year-old man was diagnosed with an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to his chest.

In the morning, russian forces attacked an agricultural equipment hangar in Bilozerka community using a drone. Two tractors, a loader, a truck, and a combine harvester were damaged. Windows in the building were also broken.

At midnight, a local was injured in Khreshchenivka due to a russian airstrike. She suffered an explosive injury and a concussion. Around 3 a.m., the occupiers attacked Kherson again. Due to explosives dropped from a drone, a 41-year-old man was injured in his yard. He was taken to the hospital with an explosive injury, a concussion, and shrapnel wounds to his legs and face.

Yesterday, Antonivka, Beryslav, Bilozerka, Burhunka, Veletenske, Stanislav, Sadove, Poniativka, Tomyna Balka, Shyroka Balka, Zolota Balka, Zmiivka, Odradokamianka, Novoraisk, Nova Kamianka, Sukhanove, Khreshchenivka, Mykhailivka, Monastyrske and the city of Kherson were under enemy fire and airstrikes. Also russian forces targeted critical infrastructure, educational and medical institutions, a bank, an office building, residential areas of the region’s settlements, including an apartment building and 16 private houses. They also damaged a gas pipeline, a garage, agricultural machinery, and private cars. One person was killed and 18 others were injured due to russian aggression.

During the night drone attack, the air defence forces destroyed one Shahed-131/136 over Kherson oblast.

It is reported that russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian positions three times on the Dniprovskyi front. russian losses for the past day amounted to 124 personnel. Two ammunition storage sites, 10 dugouts, three observation posts, and two generators were destroyed.

Volyn oblast

The 53rd Battalion of the 100th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade received a new Mitsubishi L200, 25 DJI Mavics of various types, a Kvertus G6+ anti-drone gun, a Taipan thermal imager, Avenger Booster antennas and EcoFlow charging stations from Lutsk community.

Zakarpattia oblast

A charity volleyball tournament was held in the village of Ternovo, Tiachiv region, in which veterans from Svalia took part. This veteran team took part in International tournaments in Romania and Slovakia this year.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk community sent 20 Yuriy7 drones worth over UAH 248,000 and 2 DJI Mavic 3 Thermal quadcopters worth UAH 332,000 to the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelveis. All were purchased with the funds of the regional mobilisation training program.

Lviv oblast

As part of the Lion’s Revenge initiative, Lviv City Hall sent 2 pickup trucks, 90 drones and 120 batteries for drones worth UAH 9.1m to Ukrainian defenders.

Rivne oblast

It came to the police another anonymous report about the mining of the building of the Rivne regional government and the regional council. According to the protocol, employees were evacuated and the premises were inspected. No explosive objects were found.

Construction of a modular town for veterans is being completed in Rivne oblast. All 10 planned modular buildings were installed on the territory of the regional hospital. Currently, internal works and the arrangement of the territory are ongoing. This is a joint project of the RMA, the Regional Council and the Nova Poshta company. 2 people who are undergoing treatment and rehabilitation in a medical institution will be able to live in the houses. And they plan to finish all the work by the end of autumn.

Ternopil oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Georg Milbradt, special envoy for decentralisation, good governance and civil service of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ukraine. They discussed development of the decentralisation reform and strengthening of democracy in conditions of a full-scale invasion, processes of Ukraine’s European integration and participation of communities in the development of the state.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent uniforms, including, camouflage suits, special suits, combat pants, shirts, clothes and a special uniform that helps soldiers remain less visible, worth almost UAH 4m to the Special Operations Forces.

Chernivtsi oblast

Roman Klichuk, Head of Chernivtsi City Council, met with representatives of the Conservative Party at the Carlton club. Cooperation between Ukraine and Great Britain was discussed.

In Bukovina, the Patrolman’s Assistant youth project is being implemented. Its key goal is development of public competences of young people, increasing the level of awareness of young people about their own safety, establishing a healthy lifestyle, reducing the number of traffic accidents and injuries among young people.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Latvia will send 2 300 and 100kW military generators to the Ukrainian military. The Defense Forces will use them near the front line.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey. They discussed further development of strategic partnership.
