On 26 August, Ukrainian defenders continuously held back the advancing superior enemy forces in all directions. The terrorist state kept destroying civilian infrastructure in Ukrainian cities and villages, using various means of destruction.
There were 103 engagements on the front line. The hottest area was towards Pokrovsk.
The Defense Forces took the necessary measures to prevent the invaders from advancing deeper into Ukraine.
Towards Kharkiv there was one clash, where Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled an attack near Vovchansk.
Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks near the settlements of Novooosynove, Hlushkivka and Stelmakhivka, with two more clashes ongoing near Synkivka and Andriivka. Additionally, the enemy dropped 12 guided bombs (KABs) on Kolisnykivka today.
Towards Lyman, the enemy attacked 12 times around the vicinities of Makiivka, Hrekivka, Druzheliubivka, Nevske, Novosadove and Torske. Seven battles ended, but attacks continued near Proletarske, Hrekivka and Nevske.
Towards Siversk, five engagements occurred throughout the day, with the enemy attempting to advance near Spirne, Verkhnokamianske and Vyimka but facing stiff resistance.
Towards Kramatorsk, russian troops tried twice to displace Ukrainian forces near Chasiv Yar, but both attacks were repelled. Hryhorivka and Chasiv Yar came under unguided air rocket fire.
Towards Toretsk, the enemy, supported by assault aviation, attacked Ukrainian positions seven times, but the situation remained under control.
The situation towards Pokrovsk stayed tense. Fierce battles continued in the vicinities of Kalynove, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Panteleimonivka, Zelenyi Pid, Myroliubivka, Hrodivka, Novohrodivka, Memryk, Mykhailivka and Karlivka. The enemy made 38 attempts to storm Ukrainian positions, with 14 clashes still ongoing.
Towards Kurakhove, the invaders attacked Ukrainian forces 11 times, attempting to advance near the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Hostre, Heorhiivka and Kostiantynivka. Nine attacks were stopped, and fighting continued in three locations.
The occupier became more active towards Vremivka, where three enemy assaults towards Vuhledar and Vodyane were repelled. Thirteen attacks continued towards Prechystivka, Bohoiavlenka and Novoukrainka. The enemy also launched unguided air rockets at Yehorivka.
Towards Kherson, the aggressor made one unsuccessful attempt to storm Ukrainian positions in the island area. The enemy also carried out airstrikes in the vicinities of Tiahynka, Tokarivka and Sadove, dropping 10 air bombs.
Towards Orikhiv and Hulyaipole, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations but continued to shell Ukrainian positions and settlements.
The Defense Forces continued their operation in Kursk region. According to updated information, enemy aviation launched 26 strikes on Kursk region today, using 44 guided bombs.
Ukrainian defenders bravely continued their fight against the russian invasion, inflicting significant losses on enemy personnel and equipment.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that russia launched over a hundred missiles of various types and nearly a hundred Shahed drones at Ukraine in one of the largest combined strikes. Recovery efforts were underway across the country following the russian attack, which damaged the energy infrastructure. There were casualties, and dozens of wounded received necessary assistance.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported that fifteen regions were affected by russia’s massive attack, which involved various types of weapons, including UAVs, cruise missiles, and the Kinzhal missile. Ukrenergo was forced to implement emergency power outages to stabilize the system. The regional heads were instructed to deploy Invincibility Centres as needed.
Since the start of russia’s full-scale war, 1,642 medical facilities in Ukraine were damaged, and 214 were completely destroyed. russian forces systematically targeted hospitals, maternity wards, clinics, and civilian infrastructure, including medical facilities. The most heavily affected oblasts were Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
The General Staff said in the morning report that towards Pokrovsk, russian troops have concentrated on Novohrodivka with almost half of the 42 attacks on this section of the frontline taking place near the town, and Novohrodivka was also attacked with unguided aerial missiles.
The russian army has also increased pressure towards Lyman: Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 attacks there yesterday, a third more than before. On Lyman front, the occupiers put the most pressure near Nevske.
Kharkiv oblast
The press service of the Kharkiv operational-strategic group reported that russians are preparing to unblock the aggregate plant in Vovchansk.
As of 4pm, one firefight took place towards Kharkiv. According to the General Staff, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled an attack near Vovchansk.
Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight enemy attacks near Novooosynove, Hlushkivka and Stelmakhivka. Two more attacks continue near Synkivka and Andriivka. The enemy also dropped 12 unmanned aerial vehicles on Kolisnykivka today.
Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv community, reported that russia shelled Postolne village with artillery around 12pm. As a result of four strikes, two private houses and outbuildings were damaged and there was no electricity. There were no casualties. Currently, 21 residents remain in the village.
Viktor Kovalenko added that the second day in a row, russians have been shelling Svitlychne village of Zolochiv community with artillery and the hit occurred at 11:30am. As a result of the strikes, a private non-residential building caught fire and the power grid was damaged.
In the morning, a hit was recorded in Nemyshlianskyi district of Kharkiv, with no casualties. According to the RMA, an X-22 missile hit the village of Oleksiivka in Lozova region, burning grass over an area of 1 hectare. There were no casualties. An infrastructure facility was damaged in Pershotravneve village, Krasnohrad region. A man was killed as a result of a rocket attack on a civilian enterprise in Izium region. Two more people were injured.

At 11:45pm, russians attacked Chuhuiv. A rocket attack on an infrastructure facility took place. There were no casualties.
At 2:58pm, russians attacked Senkove village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, grass was burning, the fire area was 2 hectares.
At 12:35pm, russians attacked Bilyi Kolodiaz village of Vovchansk community, Chuhuiv region. As a result of the shelling, grass was burning, the fire area was 1 hectare.
At 12:30pm, russian aggressors shelled the outskirts of Odnorobivka village using artillery. The shelling caused a fire. A private house and outbuildings were destroyed, and power lines were damaged.
At 11:10am, russians attacked outside Velykyi Burluk village of Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, grass and bushes were burning in the open area.
At 10:35am, russians attacked Novoosynove village of Kurylivka community, Kupiansk region. As a result of the shelling, an abandoned garden house and grass were burning, the area was on fire.
At 10am, the russians attacked Svitlychne village of Zolochiv community with artillery. The shelling damaged a private and a two-storey apartment building, power lines and the premises of a local agricultural enterprise.
At 8:25am, russians attacked Sadovod village of Velykyi Burluk community, Kupiansk region. As a result of the attack, a two-storey apartment building was destroyed by an FPV drone.
Towards Kharkiv, there were four hostile attacks near Vovchansk and Lyptsi.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attacked our defensive lines 13 times near Petropavlivka, Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Kolisnykivka, Lozova and Stelmakhivka. 11 battles have been completed and two are ongoing.
Six defenders from Kharkiv oblast were released during the exchange of prisoners of war: three soldiers from Lozova region, two from Zmiiv community and one resident of Kivsharivka village.
At least eight people were killed in Kharkiv oblast during the week of 19-25 August as a result of russian shelling. Three of them were residents of the border Kozacha Lopan. At least 50 people were injured, including two rescuers and two police officers.
Donetsk oblast
Serhii Horbunov, Head of Kostiantynivka CMA, reported that russian troops shelled by artillery. Five objects were damaged: the facade of an apartment building, Nevske market and the facade of a private house. There were no casualties.
Yesterday police recorded 2,710 attacks along the frontline and in the residential sector.
Nine settlements were under attack: Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Sloviansk, Ukrainsk, Vozdvyzhenka, Lozove, Memryk, Novyi Komar and Shevchenko.
14 civilian objects were destroyed, including 6 residential buildings, an administrative building, a utility company, cars and communications.
Also russians killed civilians: one person in Ukrainsk, one in Memryk and one in Vozdvyzhenka.
The enemy shelled Kostiantynivka using artillery, injuring two civilians and damaging three apartment buildings, an administrative building and a car.
Russian troops shelled Sloviansk with Smerch multiple rocket launchers, injuring a civilian and damaging three private houses, a utility company and a car.
A civilian was injured in Lozove as a result of a Smerch attack.
Police evacuated three people with limited mobility from Novoekonomichne near the frontline. Medical evacuations in Donetsk oblast are being carried out jointly with volunteers of the Proliska humanitarian mission using specially equipped vehicles. Novoekonomichne is located 6km from the frontline, near Myrnohrad. It used to be home to about 3,000 people, and now only 316 people remain. There are no children as everyone has been evacuated.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informed that due to the deteriorating security situation, the forced evacuation of families with children from 27 more settlements was announced. The list includes towns and villages of Kostiantynivka and Selydove communities.
Anastasiia Miedviedieva, Spokeswoman of the regional Prosecutor’s Office, said that the number of wounded as a result of the shelling of a hotel in Kramatorsk by russian troops on 24 August 2024 has increased to eight. The wounded are five foreign media journalists aged 38, 40, 41, 46 and 58. In addition, a 60-year-old hotel employe, 32- and 34-year-old women who were in their homes at the time of the attack were injured.
Valentyna Pinchuk, a 61-year-old midwife at the obstetrics and gynaecology department of Kostiantynivka hospital, who was injured during the shelling on 24 August, has died.
Reuters cameraman Ivan Liubysh-Kirdei is a critically injured journalist who is in a hospital in Dnipro. His wife Mariia Semenchenko added that he was close to the epicentre of the explosion, so he has numerous injuries and is in a critical condition. Liubysh-Kirdei filmed the events at Euromaidan. In 2014, he was caught in Ilovaisk cauldron, from which he escaped with his colleagues. Ivan made a documentary film about it, The Bloody War in Ukraine – Escape from Ilovaisk.
Luhansk oblast
The enemy is destroying frontline villages, using everything at its disposal. According to the Regional Military Administration, 77 drones were sent to Nevske and Makiivka. The occupiers also fired five times from multiple launch rocket systems. Also russians fired 35 times from cannon artillery.
The invaders attacked near Stelmakhivka, Bilohorivka, Hrekivka and Nevske. The Ukrainian Armed Forces experienced the greatest pressure near Nevske.
In the so-called “lpr”, after forest fires, houses in villages around Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk of Shchastia region have already caught on fire, now – in Izvaryne. Dead wood caught on fire there and soon the flames spread to a residential area. However, the rescuers do not have enough forces and means.
Beds in medical institutions in the occupied Luhansk oblast are not being freed up in time for the new patients. Almost all of them are military personnel of the russian army. For civilians, there are no free places, no medicines, no specialists as everyone is busy. This situation is observed, specifically, in Luhansk, Alchevsk Rovenky, Bilovodsk. Mostly people are admitted with light shrapnel wounds and those who need amputations.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The russian army has launched a combined missile and drone strike in Kyiv oblast. The massive attack caused damage in all seven districts, including energy facilities, private homes, and outbuildings. Four people have been reportedly injured, including a 5-month-old child. Emergency power cuts were introduced in oblast.
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the Regional Military Administration, announced that access to Kyiv hydroelectric power station dam is restricted due to this morning’s russian attack. Kyiv hydroelectric power plant did not suffer critical damage as a result of russia’s combined attack on Kyiv oblast.
Two energy facilities, over 40 houses, 5 cars, warehouses, garages, and fences were damaged. Operational groups continue to record the consequences of the massive attack.
The RMA reported that due to problems with power supply, more than 340 invincibility points were quickly opened where people can recharge their phones and gadgets. Power engineers are working to restore electricity.
In Plakhtianka village, Bucha region, three houses were destroyed and 11 damaged as a result of the russian attack. According to the village head, three local residents were injured.

Kyiv City Military Administration reported that since the beginning of the day, the air alert in the capital has lasted for 8 and a half hours. In total, air defence destroyed almost 20 russian UAVs on the outskirts of Kyiv: up to a dozen at night and about the same number during a daytime drone attack.
KCMA warned that the wreckage of an enemy UAV fell on the roadway of the Obukhiv highway on the border of the Holosiivskyi district. As a result, a car caught fire and the driver was injured. Kyiv rescuers extinguished the fire.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko informed that energy and utilities have restored water supply equipment on the right bank of the capital.
According to Kyiv City Military Administration’s statistics, during another massive missile attack on Kyiv, almost 52,000 people, including 4,500 children, took refuge in the capital’s subway stations. Despite this number of people in the lobbies and on the platforms of the stations, the subway workers ensured the smooth running of trains and the reliable operation of the stations in the shelter mode.
The Kyiv City Military Administration announced that in Kyiv, the “Honour. Glory. State” medals were awarded to 28 soldiers. The awards were presented to the families of the fallen Kyiv defenders of Ukraine by Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko. It is noted that currently more than 100,000 Kyiv residents continue to defend Ukraine on the front line.
Zhytomyr oblast
The Regional Military Administration reported that a woman was killed and four other people were injured in Zhytomyr oblast as a result of a russian massive attack. Residential buildings and critical infrastructure facilities were damaged by enemy shelling. The liquidation of the consequences of the russian attack is underway.
Zhytomyroblenerho announced that power supply has been restored to almost 20,000 customers in the oblast. Critical infrastructure is being gradually reconnected to the power supply. Repair crews continue to restore the network using backup lines and power sources.
Zhytomyr Vodokanal warned that water supply in Zhytomyr has been suspended due to a power outage caused by a russian missile attack.
After russia’s massive combined attack on Ukraine, cluster elements – components of missiles with a cluster warhead – were found in Zhytomyr oblast. The regional military administration urged residents to be cautious, as these elements may be outside the attacked facilities.

The SES reported that all fire and rescue units in the Zhytomyr oblast have Invincibility Centres. They provide water, lighting, mobile communication, internet, power for mobile devices, places to rest, first aid kits, and supplies for mothers and children.
Sumy oblast
On 26 August, the russian army attacked Bilopillia in Sumy oblast with a guided aerial bomb after 3pm. Critical infrastructure workers were injured.
Iryna Yukhta, Acting Head of the community, reported that at around 8am, the russian army shelled Krasnopillia with artillery. A 72-year-old man was wounded as a result of the shelling and hospitalised. In general, the residential sector of Krasnopillia was under fire from the russian army. Power lines were also damaged.
According to Sumy regional prosecutor’s office report, the russian army had struck Vorozhba community in Sumy oblast. As a result of the attack, a woman was trapped under the rubble of her house and later rescued. According to preliminary information, the russian army attacked the community with guided aerial bombs.
At night and in the morning, russians fired 21 times at the border areas of Sumy oblast. 60 explosions were recorded. Velyka Pysarivka, Bilopillia, Khotin, Krasnopillia, Berezivka, Esman communities were shelled.
During the day on 25 August, russians fired 88 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. 229 explosions were recorded. Sumy, Bezdryk, Mykolaivka, Khotin, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Nova Sloboda, Berezivka, Esman, Druzhbivka, Svesa, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.
Bilopillia community: the enemy used mortars (48 explosions), artillery (2 explosions), conducted air strikes (11 explosions) and FPV drone attacks (2 explosions).
Khotin community: there were air strikes (3 explosions) and mortar attacks (3 explosions).
Putyvl community: there was an air strike (UAV) (2 explosions).
Nova Sloboda community: there were air strikes (7 explosions), FPV drone attacks (2 explosions), artillery shelling (2 explosions).
Esman community: air strikes (14 explosions), mortar shelling (3 explosions), FPV drone shelling (8 explosions).
Krasnopillia community: the enemy carried out an air strike (2 explosions), mortar shelling (5 explosions), artillery (17 explosions), MLRS (5 explosions), FPV drones (7 explosions).
Velyka Pysarivka community: russians dropped 33 mines on the community’s territory. There were also artillery attacks (11 explosions) and FPV drone attacks (3 explosions).
Svesa community: an air strike was recorded (9 explosions), 2 civilians were killed and 2 people were injured as a result of the shelling.
Druzhbivka community: there were air strikes (7 explosions).
Berezivka community: there were air strikes (4 explosions).
Seredyna-Buda community: russians dropped 16 mines on the community’s territory.
Mykolaivka community: there was an air strike (1 explosion).
Bezdryk community: an aerial attack (3 explosions) was carried out, as a result of which 1 civilian was killed and 1 person was injured.
Sumy community: an aerial attack (3 explosions). As a result of the evening shelling, 3 civilians were wounded.
According to Sumyoblenerho, the russian army damaged energy facilities in Sumy oblast. As of 10am, more than 34,000 consumer metering points remain without electricity distribution. These are 213 settlements, 19 of which are partially affected.
Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy Regional State Administration, and Stephanie Hartlacher, Head of the Kharkiv Sub-Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross, reviewed the current humanitarian situation in the border area and discussed further joint plans to help the population. To overcome all challenges and support people as quickly as possible, the parties primarily estimated the urgent needs raised by the aggravation of the situation at the border and expected increase in the number of internally displaced persons. Volodymyr Artiukh thanked the international partners for their prompt and effective support since the first days of the war and expressed readiness for further cooperation to improve the security and protection of the population of the oblast.
Chernihiv oblast
Almost 230,000 customers in Chernihiv oblast remained without power supply at 11am as a result of the massive russian air strike. 10 emergency shutdowns were launched. 146 emergency power points were deployed. People can recharge their phones and get drinking water there. The State Emergency Service units have joined in and are helping. Medical facilities are working as they should. Two hospitals are on backup power supply, the rest have electricity.
During the day on 25 August, the russian army attacked five villages in four border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Snovsk and Horodnia.
Novhorod-Siverskyi community:
Five explosions (attacks allegedly from a 120mm mortar) in the direction of Bohdanove village;
Two explosions (allegedly from a 120mm mortar) in the direction of Hremyach village.
Semenivka community:
One explosion (possibly an attack by an explosive device dropped from a UAV) in the direction of Karpovychi village.
Snovsk community:
Three explosions (likely UAV dropping an explosive device) in the direction of Khrinivka village.
Horodnia community:
One explosion (arrival, allegedly an explosive device dropped from a UAV) in the direction of Polissia village.
No information on deaths or injuries among the local population as a result of the shelling was recorded.
Snovsk City Council reported that a fire spread to peat bogs due to shelling. Smoke has appeared on the territory of the community. The fire cannot be extinguished due to shelling by the russian army.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
At night, the occupiers shelled Nikopol region with artillery. They targeted the regional centre and Pokrovsk community. In the morning, the fire resumed, and the artillery hit Pokrovsk and the Chervonohryhorivka community again. In total, about fifteen shells were fired. A kamikaze drone was sent to one of the settlements of the Myrivka community.
During the morning massive attack, the russians killed a 69-year-old man.
Houses in a dacha co-operative were destroyed and damaged. One person died and another was injured. A fire broke out and was quickly extinguished.
Fires also broke out in Kryvyi Rih district as a result of hostile attacks.
In Nikopol, a 47-year-old man died as a result of hostile shelling. Another 8 people sustained injuries of varying degrees, including a 14-year-old girl, who is in serious condition. The invaders were targeting the district centre, Myrove, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovsk communities. They used artillery and kamikaze drones. Several fires broke out, damaging 6 multi-storey buildings, a shop, a business, 5 cars, 2 buses, a private house, an outbuilding, infrastructure, solar panels, power lines and a gas pipeline.
On 26 August at night and during the day, the defenders of the sky shot down 10 enemy Shaheds and 4 missiles over the oblast.
Vinnytsia oblast
Serhii Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, announced that the defenders of Ukraine received 650 FPV drones, a truck with a refrigerator, thermal imagers, monoculars and dry showers from Vinnytsia oblast.
During the morning shelling, 15 UAVs and 22 cruise missiles flew over Vinnytsia region. According to the updated information, 3 UAVs and 8 cruise missiles were confirmed to be shot down by air defence. Two civilians were injured of moderate severity. There were no casualties. There were hits to critical infrastructure in the oblast. A private house was also damaged by a blast wave.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, reported that during the morning attack, enemy drones were destroyed in the skies over Kirovohrad oblast. The russian army targeted energy facilities and critical infrastructure in Kropyvnytskyi and Oleksandriia regions, without causing any casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure.
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad RMA, said that the heads of the RMAs and community leaders have been ordered to promptly check the readiness of the ‘Points of Unbreakability’. If necessary, be ready to immediately deploy them to help local residents with communication and first aid.
One casualty was hospitalised in Holovanivka Central District Hospital as a result of the morning enemy attack. The man was promptly provided with medical assistance. He is under medical supervision.
Poltava oblast
Filip Pronin, Head of Poltava RMA, reported that russian shelling hit an industrial facility in Poltava oblast. Six people were injured.
In Lubny region, another woman was injured by russian shelling. The fragments of a UAV damaged a private house.
Cherkasy oblast
The longest air raid in the region, over 13 hours in a row. The enemy was tearing up the sky with missiles and ‘shaheds’. Defenders destroyed 10 UAVs within the oblast. In most cases, without consequences. An enemy Shahed caused damage in Zolotonosha region. There were no casualties.
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported that in Shramkivka, 17 households were damaged, 3 of them severely, as well as the power line. The region has resumed the operation of the stabilisation points due to the unstable operation of the power system.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
On 26 August 26, russian forces shelled settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. As a result of the enemy strike, one person was killed and another injured. Civil infrastructure was damaged, and there were reports of a hit on an energy infrastructure facility, leading to a fire.
Emergency power outage schedules were implemented for industrial electricity consumers in Zaporizhzhia oblast due to the heavy russian shelling.
Yesterday, russian forces carried out 287 strikes on 11 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The russian military conducted an airstrike on Lobkove. Additionally, 158 unmanned aerial vehicles of various modifications targeted Kamianske, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Olhivske and Verkhnia Tersa. Three rocket artillery strikes hit Novodanylivka and Robotyne, and there were 125 artillery strikes on Prymorske, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka and Olhivske. There were 12 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure, with one person injured.
Mykolaiv oblast
On the morning of 26 August, the russian army launched a massive strike on Ukrainian cities. An air raid alert in Mykolaiv oblast was declared at 4:05am. The oblast was attacked by drones and missiles. According to Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, as of 10:16am, three people were injured due to the shelling.
Mykolaivoblenerho announced the implementation of emergency power outage schedules in the oblast. As of 10:35am, several regions in Mykolaiv oblast and the regional centre were without electricity.
Yesterday, on 25 August, at 8:29pm, the enemy shelled the waters of Ochakiv community with artillery. Later, at 9:42pm, artillery strikes targeted Kutsurub community. There were no casualties.
Odesa oblast
On the morning of 26 August, the russian armed forces launched a combined attack on Odesa oblast, targeting both energy and civilian infrastructure. Preliminary reports indicate that seven people were injured, including boys aged 7 and 10, and a 10-year-old girl. Residential buildings, economic structures, and vehicles were damaged. The assessment is ongoing, and the full extent of the damage is still being determined.

All three gas production platforms in the Black Sea, known as the “Boyko towers,” which Ukrainian forces liberated in September 2023, are reportedly on fire. Satellite images confirming this were published by OSINT analyst MT Anderson.
Kherson oblast
This morning, around 5:30am, russian occupiers hit Tomyna Balka with artillery at least four times. The shelling damaged three residential buildings in the village.
Last night, the russian army attacked Kherson using drones, resulting in two people being injured. A 57-year-old man sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg, while a 76-year-old woman suffered a blast injury, chest wounds, and injuries to her shin.
It is reported that russian forces dropped an explosive from a drone onto a civilian car in Zolota Balka. The man inside suffered a blast injury, concussion, and minor shrapnel wounds to his arm.
Yesterday, the enemy attacked Kherson, Sadove, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Novotiahynka, Bilozerka, Blahovishchenske, Komyshany, Beryslav, Mykhailivka, Chervonyi Maiak and Vesele. The shelling damaged 41 objects, including 15 private houses, an administrative building, a school, a bakery, three cars, and 20 outbuildings. Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that one person was killed and seven others injured due to russian aggression.

Today, a resident of Antonivka sought medical help after being injured in a russian shelling on 23 August. The victim was diagnosed with a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to her leg.
It is reported that russian shelling caused seven fires in Kherson oblast over the past day. In total, 16 fires were extinguished, including those in residential buildings, outbuildings, and vehicles. Additionally, 8.28 hectares of ecosystems were affected.
Yesterday russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions twice on Prydniprovskyi direction,but were met with strong resistance, suffered losses, and retreated. The enemy bombed Tokarivka area with five guided aerial bombs (KABs).
Yesterday, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 52 occupiers and destroyed 31 units of enemy equipment. Additionally, three field supply buildups, nine observation posts, seven dugouts, three enemy personnel locations, and one checkpoint were hit.

Volyn oblast
As a result of the russian attack, infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged in Lutsk. Currently, there is information about one dead person and 5 victims. People are being resettled from damaged buildings. Emergency blackouts are used in Volyn. Because of this, there are interruptions with water supply. Utilities use generators to restore power.

In schools of Lutsk, in shelters there are Invincibility Centres, where there is electricity from a diesel generator and the Internet. Also, Invincibility Centres work in starostats of Starosty regions.
Zakarpattia oblast
2 missiles were shot down over the territory of Zakarpattia oblast. For security reasons, the location of the missile crash has not been disclosed.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast suffered from a massive attack by the enemy. As a result of the impact, 3 people were injured, and an infrastructural facility was also hit. The oblast was attacked from different directions. During the attack, the Air Defense Forces were able to destroy several air targets, but the infrastructural facility was still hit. Three people were injured and are being treated. Information about the destruction is being clarified. Various services, including the State Emergency Service and medics, are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
Lviv oblast
During the morning air alert, the enemy launched a massive missile and drone attack on the territory of Lviv oblast. russia attacked several energy facilities. As a result, there were temporary power outages in Lviv and the oblast. As of this hour, the situation has been stabilised. Power engineers are working to restore power. The emergency services and law enforcement officers are on duty at the locations. Previously, there were no victims or victims.
Volunteers of Medical and Psychological Assistance reported that over the past week, 300 people were evacuated from the frontline areas to Lviv oblast. Currently, evacuation from front-line areas to the oblast continues. Therefore, key directions from where people arrive are Pokrovsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.
For the defence of the Independence of Ukraine, 29 Lviv residents were posthumously awarded the Honorary Badge of St. George. Awards were presented to families of defenders.
Rivne oblast
In the morning, Rivne oblast was hit by the enemy. The object of the energy infrastructure became the target. Windows in the apartment building were damaged. Without human casualties. De-energized settlements in Rivne region. Currently, relevant services are working to eliminate consequences of the impact. In addition, the Air Defense Forces shot down air targets in Rivne region.
48 settlements in Rivne oblast remained without electricity. The regional centre was partially without electricity. In total, over 30,000 consumers were cut off. This is a consequence of the enemy’s early morning attack on an energy facility in Rivne oblast. In addition, automatic protection was activated at substations in the oblast, which led to a number of blackouts. Due to the lack of electricity, there were also interruptions in the water supply, as the pressure in the system decreased. Currently, the energy industry is making every effort to restore the light.
In order to restore water supply in the regional centre, employees of the State Emergency Service connected the Rivneoblvodokanal system to a 400kW generator.
Over 400 Invincibility Centres are ready to provide assistance to residents of Rivne oblast. First of all, we are talking about the power supply, which disappeared as a result of the morning attack of the enemy on one of the power facilities of the oblast. Each Invincibility Centre is equipped with items and essentials. There is an opportunity to charge a mobile phone, drink coffee or tea.
Ternopil oblast
The RMA reported that 28 servicemen from Ternopil oblast were awarded with the II and III degrees For Courage orders, the Defender of the Fatherland and For Military Service to Ukraine medals (posthumously).
Khmelnytskyi oblast
As a result of the massive attack, energy infrastructure facilities in Khmelnytskyi community were damaged. Consumers in the city of Khmelnytskyi and Khmelnytskyi communities, as well as in part of Khmelnytskyi region, were cut off. There are no victims. Residential buildings, cars were damaged. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore critical infrastructure and restore power to consumers as soon as possible. The movement of trolleybuses is limited.
Chernivtsi oblast
