Russian invaders continue to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders. On 24 October, there were 101 combat clashes.
Border settlements, in particular Bobylivka and Kucherivka in Sumy oblast, are suffering from artillery shelling from the territory of the russian federation.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, two enemy attacks were repelled by Ukrainian defenders. The enemy also launched three airstrikes, dropped six GABs, and carried out 37 attacks, including one from a multiple launch rocket system.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders four times near Vovchansk and towards Kolodiazne and Dvorichanske, combat clashes are ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, there were five combat clashes, the occupiers tried to advance towards Pishchane and Bohuslavka. One combat clash is still ongoing.
Towards Lyman, the invading army attacked five times near the settlements of Hrekivka, Seredne, Novoselivka, Zarichne and Drobysheve. The defense forces are holding their defenses firmly, one attack has already been repelled, four are still ongoing.
Towards Slaviansk, the enemy is trying to break through near Yampol, the battle is ongoing.
Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations.
Towards Kostiantynivka, the invader tried to advance 15 times in the vicinity of Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchyivka, Shcherbynivka, Rusyn Yar and towards Kostiantynivka and Sofiivka. Eight clashes are still ongoing.
Towards Pokrovsk, the invaders made 49 attempts to push the Ukrainian defenders from the occupied positions in the vicinity of the settlements of Shakhove, Maiak, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novoekonomichne, Chervonyi Lyman, Promin, Balahan, Novopavlivka, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Filiia, and Dachne. The defense forces are holding back the enemy’s onslaught and repelling 39 attacks.
Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy attacked 11 times near the settlements of Sosnivka, Oleksiivka, Novovasylivske, Novohryhorivka, Pavlivka, and Zlagoda. Currently, one battle is ongoing.
Towards Huliaipole, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks near Malynivka.
Towards Orikhiv, the Ukrainian defenders repelled five attacks by enemy units near Stepove, Kamianske, and Stepnohirsk. Enemy aviation carried out an airstrike near Pavlovka.
Towards Kherson, the occupiers tried to advance twice in the Antonivskyi bridge area; one battle is still ongoing.
In other areas of the front, there were no significant changes.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports that from the beginning of 2025 to October 25, Russia used about 770 ballistic missiles and more than 50 “Daggers” on the territory of Ukraine.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces reports that on the night of October 25, the Ukrainian air defense destroyed 54 air targets during a massive russian attack. There are 5 ballistic missiles hit.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
The General Staff reports that towards Southern Sloboda, the russian army attacked Ukrainian military positions four times near Vovchansk, Kolodiazne and Dvorichanske, combat clashes are ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, there were five combat clashes near Pishchane and Bohuslavka. One combat clash is still ongoing. Over the past 24 hours, 141 combat clashes were recorded.
The RMA reported that towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy stormed the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 14 times near Vovchansk, Odradne, Bolohivka and Kamianka.
Towards Kupiansk, there were 4 attacks by the invaders yesterday. Ukrainians defenders repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the vicinity of Stepova Novoselivka and towards Pishchane.
Shelling
City mayor Ihor Terekhov says that the invaders struck Kharkiv with two UAVs. One drone hit the roof of a private house in Shevchenkivskyi district, damaging the building. The second drone did not detonate. It was found on the roof of a five-story building in Kyivskyi district. The Molniya type UAV acted as a carrier for two FPV drones that hit in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. According to him, the Molniya itself fell on the roof of a dormitory in Kyivskyi district. As of 17:45, five people had sought medical attention with an acute stress reaction.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv RMA, says that at night, the russian army shelled an energy facility in Chuhuyivskyi district. 25,000 consumers were left without electricity due to the strikes on Lozova.
Mayor Serhii Zelensky said that most of Lozova was left without electricity due to russian attacks on critical infrastructure. The city’s water supply is being restored thanks to alternative power sources.
Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 3 settlements in the oblast were hit by enemy strikes. 13 people were injured as a result of the shelling.
In Kharkiv, men aged 23, 34, 36, 54, 59, 61, 65, 66 and women aged 40, 69, 67, 73 were injured; in Lozova, a 43-year-old woman was injured.
Anna Hontar, RMA Spokeswoman, reports that a 59-year-old and a 66-year-old man who suffered explosive injuries as a result of a UAV strike on the Industrial District of Kharkiv yesterday afternoon remain in hospital under medical supervision. Doctors assess their condition as stable.
The enemy attacked 6 GABs and one UAV in the Industrial District of Kharkiv.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons:

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:

Other
The transit evacuation point in Lozova received 189 people in a day. 58 people remained. A total of 9,155 people have been registered at the point since it began operating.
Donetsk oblast
Ivan Holovach, Staff Sergeant of the 25th Special Operations Brigade, informs that heavy fighting continues in Pokrovsk. The russians are attacking in small groups, using drones and artillery, and armored vehicles are only for logistics.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian soldiers have liberated the settlement of Sukhetske in Pokrovsk region. During the assault, Ukrainian soldiers engaged in fierce fighting with more than 60 russian soldiers – most of whom were eliminated and taken prisoner.
The General Staff said that the russian military increased the number of attacks towards Pokrovsk in the past day to 52, the day before there were 39 assaults. Ukrainian defenders stopped assaults near the settlements of Nykanorivka, Maiak, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Horikhove and Dachne.
Another 22 times the russian army attacked towards Oleksandrivka, 11 – Kostiantynivka and 10 – Lyman-.
The defenders of Pokrovsk intercepted and destroyed a russian autonomous drone V2U. This drone, equipped with AI, is capable of independently selecting targets and staying in the air for up to an hour.

Shelling
Serhii Horbunov, Head of the RMA, informs that one person was killed and another injured as a result of shelling of Kostiantynivka community. Russian troops also shelled the community with MLRS Grad. As a result of the shelling, five facades of private houses were damaged. No injured or dead were found on the spot. As a result of the FPV drone strike, one of the apartment buildings in the city of Kostiantynivka caught fire. Four more houses were damaged as a result of the FAB-250 strike on the private sector of the city.
The RMA reports that at 04:00 on October 25, the russian army shelled Kramatorsk community in the private sector.

One person was killed and five others injured in russian shelling of Donetsk oblast. On October 24, there were 2,223 hits on the frontline and residential sector.
12 settlements were under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Lyman, Mykolaivka, the settlements of Myrne, Oleksandrivka, Raiske, the villages of Mykolaipilla, Orikhuvatka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Starovarvarivka.
37 civilian objects were destroyed, including 5 residential buildings.
In Raiske, russians hit two civilian cars with FPV drones – one person was killed and one injured.
Three people were injured in Mykolaipilla, the enemy hit civilians with an FPV drone.
A civilian was injured in Lyman as a result of a hit by an FPV drone.
Kramatorsk withstood five attacks: russian drones damaged a shopping center, a store, a train, 2 tractors, and 2 critical infrastructure facilities.
The occupiers directed a GAB-250 bomb and two FPV drones at Kostiantynivka – 2 apartment buildings were destroyed.
russia struck Druzhkivka with three FPV drones – a private house, two civilian cars, and an infrastructure facility were damaged.
Critical infrastructure was damaged in Mykolaivka and Myrne, and one private house in Orikhuvatka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In addition, information has been established about a deceased civilian in Lyman, who was killed by russian troops on October 23 near a gas station.
From the beginning of 2025 until mid-October, russian troops shelled Kramatorsk community about 300 times. Residents were killed and injured as a result of the strikes. More than 2,000 private and apartment buildings were also damaged, including multiple times.
Other
Yevhen Tkachev, Head of the Proliska humanitarian mission in Donetsk oblast, states that ten more people were evacuated from Kostiantynivka. A cat was also evacuated.

Yurii Tretiak, Head of the RMA, says that about 1,500 residents remain in Myrnohad. FPV drones attack everything that moves, the equipment cannot get even 15 km closer to the city. Humanitarian aid has not been delivered since the summer. People survive on the remnants of supplies, and heat their homes with “borewell stoves”, firewood or coal from abandoned houses.
Luhansk oblast
In the zone of responsibility of Ukrainian units, the enemy fired artillery and actively used FPV drones and unmanned aerial vehicles. Towards Lyman and Sloviansk, 14 attacks occurred near eight settlements during the day.
During the ongoing fuel crisis, the utilities of the so-called “lpr” are abusing their right to priority fuel supply. According to local sources, gasoline coupons have appeared on sale on the black market, while citizens’ applications for the restoration of utilities have remained unfulfilled for weeks.
The occupying “Ministry of Culture of the lpr” has introduced a cycle of open lessons with propaganda content in art schools. In classes, in particular in musical literature, russian military propaganda narratives are imposed on children under the guise of “educational work.”
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Two people were killed and 13 injured as a result of a russian attack on Kyiv during the night of October 25. The body of one victim was recovered from under the rubble in Desnianskyi district, another person died from injuries in the hospital. Damage was recorded in three districts of the capital.
In the Desnianskyi district, in a warehouse, a fire covering 13,000 square meters was contained. Rescuers saved one person. Two SES helicopters were additionally deployed to extinguish the fire.
In Darnytskyi district, a fire was extinguished in a nine-story administrative and production building. A fire in a two-story building was localized.
In Dniprovskyi district, russia struck an open area, damaging residential buildings.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, windows were damaged in 12 residential buildings and a kindergarten in Dniprovskyi district, a high-rise building in Darnytskyi district was affected, and in Desnianskyi district, a store, food warehouses, and vehicles were destroyed or damaged.


According to the SES, during cleanup operations after the russian missile strike, Kyiv rescuers found three kittens in one of the warehouse buildings. The animals were rescued, fed, and have already found new homes.
The RMA reported that forty-seven more Defenders from 24 communities of Kyiv oblast received housing certificates. Altogether, around 150 families are expected to receive housing this year.
On October 25, the Ukrainian Women’s Guard held a training session in Kyiv titled “Tactical Medicine + Mine Safety.” The intensive course took place at the Hub in Obolon, where participants spent five hours without phones, practicing tourniquet application, critical bleeding control, casualty stabilization, and action algorithms in case of mine threats under the guidance of experienced instructors.
On October 25, Kyiv hosted an event titled “United by Silence, Louder than Words” in support of captured and missing Ukrainian defenders. Thousands of people from across Ukraine gathered on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, unfurling a flag dozens of meters long displaying the photos of the missing.

Zhytomyr oblast
An air assault brigade received four FORTE CROSS motorcycles, a trailer, and a bus, the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zhytomyr oblast received three FORTE CROSS motorcycles. Another batch of vehicles for the needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces was handed over by the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration together with the Charitable Foundation “Zhytomyr Aid Headquarters.” All vehicles have undergone the necessary technical maintenance and are ready for operation in combat conditions.
Sumy oblast
Over the past 24 hours — from the morning of 24 October to the morning of 25 October — russian forces carried out nearly 150 attacks on 40 settlements across 16 territorial communities in Sumy oblast. Sumy and Shostka regions were the most heavily targeted.
The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (around 10 strikes), drones (about 20 strikes), multiple launch rocket systems (15 strikes), and grenade drops from drones (25 strikes), as well as FPV drone attacks. The air raid alert in the oblast lasted a total of 21 hours and 38 minutes.
Damage to civilian infrastructure:
- In Konotop community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;
- In Velyka Pysarivka community, a private residential building was damaged;
- In Hlukhiv community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
- In Popivka community, civilian infrastructure and a non-residential building were damaged.
During the day, 7 people were evacuated from border communities by local authorities, State Emergency Service units, National Police, and volunteer organizations.
Since June, the Knowledge Saves Lives project has been implemented in Sumy oblast to teach parents of schoolchildren and preschoolers the basics of first aid. Nearly 2,300 people from different communities completed the training over the summer, and the second stage has already begun, involving around 500 participants so far.
Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that during the past 24 hours — on 24 October — russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk.
The enemy carried out artillery shelling (8 explosions), FPV drone strikes (14 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from drones (2 explosions). A total of seven settlements came under enemy fire.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that Since the beginning of October 2025, seven civilians have been killed and 19 injured in Novhorod-Siverskyi region as a result of russian aggression. Over the past week, the enemy has repeatedly targeted critical infrastructure in the area.
The community has established 30 Points of Invincibility to support residents. On 21 October, russian troops struck the centre of Novhorod-Siverskyi, killing four civilians and injuring twelve. Twenty-one households, a hospital, a cultural centre, a school, a lyceum, cafés, and shops were damaged.
Meanwhile, entrepreneurs in Chernihiv oblast can now apply for grants of up to USD 30,000 under the BLOOM Programme to develop their businesses. The initiative aims not only to support small and medium-sized enterprises, but also to create jobs for internally displaced persons, veterans, people with disabilities, and youth.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
In Synelnykove region, russian forces launched a missile strike and used drones to attack the area, targeting Malomykhailivka, Petropavlivka, and Pokrovske communities.
As a result, two people were killed and seven injured. Fires broke out — a flat in an apartment building, a private house, and a household structure caught fire. Four cars and a shop were damaged.
In Nikopol region, attacks on the city centre continued until late at night. The enemy used drones and artillery, causing a fire that destroyed a garage and a car. According to updated information, the evening strike on Nikopol also damaged two private houses and a gas pipeline.
In Synelnykove region, russian forces carried out guided bomb (GAB) strikes on the Pokrovske community, damaging a non-operational building and infrastructure.
In Nikopol region, there were more than twenty attacks — the enemy struck the city centre and Myrove, Marhanets, and Pokrovske communities using drones and artillery. Several fires occurred, damaging 12 private homes, 2 outbuildings, a garage, a car, another unused building, infrastructure, a gas pipeline, and power lines.
In Pavlohrad region, drones again targeted Verbky community, causing a fire and damage to an infrastructure facility.
Vinnytsia oblast
In Vinnytsia oblast, explosive experts neutralized the warheads of russian drones and an X-101 missile that had failed to detonate upon impact.
Poltava oblast
Three servicemen from Poltava oblast were killed in russian-Ukrainian war — sailor Volodymyr Lebid, soldier Bohdan Yakivets, and junior sergeant Pavlo Pimochkin.
All three fell in action while performing combat missions.
Cherkasy oblast
In Cherkasy, on the slopes of Zamkovyi Uzviz, a memorial flowerbed was planted today in memory of the people and places lost to the war.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 25 October, the Defense Forces repelled 7 russian attacks in Orikhiv and Huliaipole regions. In particular, russian forces launched assaults near Stepove, Kamianske, Stepnohirsk and Malynivka.
On 24 October, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 6 russian assaults in Orikhiv region and 1 in Huliaipole region. Fighting took place near Stepove, in the area of Okhotnyche and toward Novoandriivka and Novodanylivka.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that on 24 October, the russian military carried out 634 strikes across 19 cities and villages of Zaporizhzhia oblast. In particular, russian troops shelled the areas of Stepnohirsk, Plavni, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Chervone, Uspenivka, Charivne and Bilohiria 231 times by artillery.
The State Emergency Service informed that 2 fires broke out in Zaporizhzhia oblast as a result of russian shelling on 24 October. In Bilenke village, rescuers extinguished fires that destroyed 4 outbuildings, while in Zelene village, a car caught fire.
Mykolaiv oblast
Referring to Mykolaiv RMA, on 24 October, no shellings were recorded in Mykolaiv oblast.
Odesa oblast
The Air Force of Ukraine reported that a russian reconnaissance UAV was detected today over the Black Sea near Odesa coastal area.
Currently, russia is testing guided aerial bombs with jet engines in isolated cases across different regions to assess the response of Ukrainian Defence Forces. At this stage, these bombs do not pose a significant threat to Odesa oblast, as they are intercepted by air defence units.
Kherson oblast
According to the Regional Military Administration, around 5:30pm, russian troops dropped an explosive device from a drone on a woman in Kherson. The 50-year-old sustained blast and head injuries and a concussion.
A 79-year-old woman from Bilozirka, who was attacked by a russian drone the previous day, was hospitalised with a blast injury and concussion.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in Prydniprovskyi area, as of 4pm, russian forces attempted to advance twice near Antonivskyi Bridge area. 1 battle is still ongoing.
According to the Southern Defense Forces, on 24 October, russian troops made 3 attempts to advance in Antonivskyi Bridge area but failed.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that during the night drone attack, Ukrainian air defence units destroyed 2 russian Shahed-131/136 drones over Kherson oblast.
As a result of russian shelling on 24 October, 3 people were killed and 29 wounded, including 3 children. Damage was reported to 29 high-rise buildings, 63 private houses, ambulances, buses, a trolleybus and cars. In total, russian troops attacked 40 settlements across the oblast.

Volyn oblast
A memorial plaque to Hero Yurii Kuts was unveiled in the village of Skyby, Lyubomlsk community. The graduate of the local gymnasium studied here from 2008 to 2017.
Zakarpattia oblast
Senior Lieutenant of the Chaplaincy Service Pavlo Sosnytskyi was awarded with the high distinction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – the Cross of Military Honor. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Pavlo Sosnytsky has been serving as a chaplain in a military hospital.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk community sent a Mavic 3T, a Mavic 3 Pro Fly More Combo and a remote antenna to the State Special Transport Service.
Lviv oblast
Strii community gave VR goggles and a drone control panel to a soldier who has been defending Ukraine in the east since 2014 thanks to donations from city council employees.
Trostianets community sent 2 Toyota cars and generators worth over UAH 500,000 to Azov and the KORD special forces unit.
Khodoriv raised UAH 24,500, which will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
With the assistance of the Circle of Brothers Veteran Space this summer, 31 camouflage nets were woven and delivered to the front in Strii region. Nets are made on an anti-drone basis from high-quality spunbond material, which makes them practically weightless and as compact as possible despite their large size.
Rivne oblast
Rivne oblast received 95 firefighting kits and 20 communication reinforcement stations from the Ukrainian Red Cross Society. The transfer took place during joint exercises of the operational and rescue units of Rivne region’s State Emergency Service and the Red Cross rapid response units from 5 oblasts of Ukraine.
Ternopil oblast
New trees have been planted on the dam in Ternopil. This is the result of the Support the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Plant a Name Tree campaign. This fall, 29 trees are planned to be planted, including 10 in memory of the fallen Heroes. They were planted by relatives and friends of the fallen defenders.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The RMA held the 1st Day of Veterans’ Hearings. Hear Everyone. This is an open communication format that provides an opportunity to speak frankly and together solve problematic issues that concern veterans. Each issue raised by the participants was immediately taken up by the relevant services.
Chernivtsi oblast
The RMA reported that in the 1st 9 months of 2025, 4,500 patients received rehabilitation assistance, including 3,687 adults and 811 children.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
