Border settlements, in particular Senkivka in Chernihiv oblast; Kniazhychi, Mala Rybytsia, Popivka, Seredyna Buda, Prokhody, Slavhorod, Shalyhyne, Bila Bereza, Myropylske, Baranivka, Ryasne in Sumy oblast, suffered from shelling from the territory of the russian federation. Prokhody, Uhroidy, Mykhailivka, Velykyi Prykil, Mykhailivske in Sumy oblast were subjected to air strikes.

Towards Kharkiv, the enemy launched an airstrike on ​​the settlement of Mala Vovcha.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy twice attacked the positions of UKrainian troops in the vicinity of Nova Kruhliakivka, and combat clashes are ongoing.

Towards Lyman, the invading army attacked seven times in the vicinity of Ridkodub, Nova Kruhliakivka, Novyi Myr, Serebrianka, and near Nove and Torske. Two clashes are still ongoing.

Towards Pokrovsk, the invaders made 19 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from the occupied positions in the vicinity of the settlements of Yelizavetivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka and near Myroliubivka and Malynivka. The defense forces are holding back the enemy’s onslaught and repelling 11 attacks, eight clashes are still ongoing. The enemy’s losses are being specified.

Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy attacked eight times near the settlements of Kostiantynopol, Vesele, Novosilka, Pryvilne and in the vicinity of Vilne Pole and Odradne. Airstrikes were carried out on Bahatyr and Oleksiivka.

Towards Huliaipole, the enemy launched airstrikes on the vicinity of ​​the settlement of Huliaipole.

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy tried to advance three times near the settlements of Novodanylivka and Stepove.

Towards Kherson, Kozatske and Antonivka were subjected to airstrikes.

In the operational zone in Kursk oblast, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 17 attacks by russian invaders during the day, four clashes are still ongoing. The enemy launched eight airstrikes, dropping 13 KABs, and carried out 163 attacks, including seven from multiple launch rocket systems.

In other directions of the front, the situation did not change significantly.


President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports that most of the foreign components in the North Korean ballistic missile, which russians used to strike the civilian population of the capital, contain at least 116 foreign components. Most of them are made in the USA.

The press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine with reference to the State Customs Service, reports that in April 2025, Ukraine exported 1.9 million tons of grain. In total, since the beginning of the 2024/2025 marketing year, Ukraine has exported 34.74 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

The RMA reported that towards Kupiansk, there were four attacks by the invaders. Ukrainian defenders stopped the enemy’s assault actions near Nova Kruhlyakivka, Zahryzove and towards Bohuslavka.

Viktor Trehubov, Spokesman for the Khortytsia Military Unit, says that the russian army took advantage of the “Easter” truce to regroup forces and resume the offensive on Vovchansk.

Shelling

Yevhen Vasylenko, Spokesman for the regional State Emergency Service, reports that three rescuers were burned while extinguishing a fire after russian strikes in Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv. They were provided with assistance on the spot.

At 06:45, russians attacked the city of Kharkiv with a Shahed UAV. The strike damaged four buildings in a restaurant complex.

At 00:35, warehouses and garage boxes caught fire in Kharkiv as a result of a strike by Shahed suicide drones. Eight private residential buildings and one high-rise building were damaged.

At 22:27, russians attacked the village of Kozacha Lopan, Derhachi community, with an FPV drone. A private house caught fire.

At 16:21 in the village of Klynova Novoselivka (Oleksandrivka) of Zolochiv community of Bohodukhov region, four private houses, an outbuilding and street power grids were damaged as a result of shelling.

At 15:50, russians shelled the village of Postolne in Bohodukhov region. A residential building with an area of ​​90 m², two outbuildings with an area of ​​36 m² and grass on an area of ​​2.5 hectares were burning. The type of weapons is being determined.

At 14:14, near the village of Shestakove in Starosaltiv community of Chuhuiv region, a VAZ-21013 car caught fire as a result of shelling from an unspecified type of UAV. A 36-year-old man was killed.

At 14:13, in the village of Klynova Novoselivka (Oleksandrivka) of Bohodukhov region, a private house and three outbuildings were damaged as a result of shelling.

At 12:30, russians shelled the village of Novoplatonivka, Izium region, with MLRS. A coniferous litter area of ​​2 hectares caught fire.

At 11:15, in the village of Nechvolodivka, Kupiansk region, as a result of shelling with MLRS, grass and reeds burned on an area of ​​2 hectares. Two women, 83 and 78 years old, were injured.

At 07:31, in the village of Borova, Izium region, as a result of shelling with a guided aerial bomb, a store was destroyed.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the russian army has increased pressure on Kramatorsk. The occupiers attacked the positions of the Defense Forces in Chasovoe Yar and Andriivka 13 times, also in the direction of Predtechyne, Bila Hora and Diliivka, the day before there was only one assault.

The most battles were recorded towards Pokrovsk. The Ukrainian military repelled 65 russian attacks, in particular, near Vodiane Druhe, Tarasivka, Berezivka, Yelizavetivka, Kotlyne, Novoserhiivka, Novooleksandrivka, and Kotliavika.

Towards Lyman, on one of the sections of the front, russian occupiers began to loot civilian houses and use people “as human shields.” russian military personnel are also robbing and torturing civilians, and individual cases of executions were recorded, said Vasyl Denisyuk, a junior sergeant of the 66th separate mechanized brigade.

The Khortytsia military unit reported that towards Kramatorsk, Ukrainian military personnel destroyed a russian 2S5 Giantsint-S self-propelled gun.

 Shelling

 Serhii Horbunov, Head of the RMA, says that the russian army dropped six FAB-250 aerial bombs on Kostiantynivka on the morning of April 25. The occupiers hit the infrastructure and the outskirts of the city.

At 5 am, russians hit Yarova in Lyman community with two FAB-250 bombs. A 61-year-old man and his 88-year-old father were killed, and a 90-year-old mother was injured. 8 private houses, a shop, and an outbuilding were damaged.

11 settlements were under fire: the cities of Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Myrnohrad, the villages of Donske, Zatyshok, Zoria, Nikiforivka, Novoserhiivka, Svitle, and Serhiivka.

In Myrnohrad, one civilian was killed and one injured as a result of russian strikes.

One civilian was injured in Nikiforivka, Bakhmut region, a private house was damaged.

The occupiers dropped 5 GAB-250 bombs on Druzhkivka, damaging 2 private houses and 2 enterprises, 2 non-residential premises and an outbuilding. The enemy directed three more bombs at Donske, Druzhkivka community – there is destruction on the territory of a health facility.

russia attacked Kramatorsk with a 500 kg bomb – 5 apartment buildings, 4 shops, a railway station building, a post office, a bank building, an office, a cafe, a garage, and three civilian cars were damaged.

As a result of the shelling of Kostiantynivka, 2 private houses and an outbuilding were damaged. In Zoria, Illinivka community, there were 6 damaged homes.

Pokrovsk region was under attack: one private house was damaged in Zatyshne, Svitle, and Novoserhiivka.

The RMA reported that the russian army shelled a children’s and youth sports school in the central part of Pokrovsk.

Luhansk oblast

It is reported that russians pressed near Belogorivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled another attempt at a russian offensive there. Along the line of combat contact in Luhansk oblast, the enemy is using all available weapons. He struck twice from aviation, four times from multiple launch rocket systems and 20 times from artillery. He used 190 unmanned aerial vehicles against Ukrainian soldiers.

The condition of critical infrastructure of the occupied Luhansk oblast is getting worse. The population is outraged by the low quality of public services and unreasonably high tariffs for them. Public service employees explain this by low salaries and constant delays in money. There are debts in every city. For example, in Kreminna, the local water utility owes money to specialists. They missed six million rubles. Budget funds have disappeared again.

In Lysychansk, no large-scale repair works are taking place during the warm season. The occupiers always declare their feats in restoring the city at the end of winter or at the beginning of spring. This time, they claim to have completed the repair of the water supply and heating network. They promise to provide heating to only 12% of houses next winter. Despite all previous announcements, people have been waiting for water for almost three years, with the exception of some high-rise buildings

Kyiv oblast

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that search and rescue operations at the site of the russian attack on a residential building in Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv have been completed. The death toll has risen to 12 people, 87 injured.

As of the morning of 24 April, eight people were known to have been killed by russian shelling. During the emergency search operations, rescuers recovered the bodies of four more victims from the rubble of a destroyed house in Sviatoshynskyi district. In particular, a 17-year-old teenager. His friends had been waiting nearby for more than 12 hours during the search operations. A total of three children have been reported killed in the attack.

Kyiv has declared Friday, 25 April, a day of mourning for the victims of russia’s massive attack on the capital.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that at night, rescuers had rescued two cats at the site of a russian attack on a residential building in the capital. They were found at the site of the destruction. The frightened but unharmed animals were handed over to the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.

According to the RMA, in the village of Borodianka on Velyka Street, two nine-storey buildings that were damaged in February 2022 are being restored. The reconstruction continues as part of a pilot project to renovate settlements affected by the armed aggression of the russian federation.

Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko informed that the capital’s community has transferred 500 digital anti-aircraft FPV drones and 8 control units to the frontline to help the soldiers of the 25th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine shoot down air targets. Several dozen electronic warfare systems have also been sent to the frontline. The 241st Brigade of the Kyiv Territorial Defence received 2,000 multi-rotor systems (FPV drones).

Kyiv received 13 modern KATO mini-excavators from Japanese partners. The assistance was provided under the Emergency Recovery and Reconstruction Programme for Ukraine, which the Japanese government is implementing through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The machines are particularly effective for quickly filling sinkholes after enemy missile and drone strikes. Two more powerful excavators will be used for large-scale reconstruction work in areas that have suffered significant damage. 

Zhytomyr oblast

Oleksandr Loviniuk, acting head of the Novohuyvynsk village council, reported that during the nighttime combined attack by the russian federation on 24 April, the village of Novohuyvynsk community suffered significant damage. There were 11 apartment buildings damaged, 12 garages and more than 20 outbuildings burned down. According to Lovinyuk, about 200 apartments were damaged.

The SES reported that a rescuer who was injured during the repeated shelling of the territory of the Novohuyvynsk community by the russian army is currently in hospital and has undergone surgery. He was participating in the aftermath of the first shelling and was wounded in the shoulder. 

Sumy oblast

In Shalyhyne community, the enemy dropped a VOG grenade from a UAV (1 explosion), carried out mortar shelling (6 explosions), and launched an FPV-drone (1 explosion). As a result of the shelling, an educational institution was damaged.

Bilopillia community: a VOG grenade was dropped from a UAV (1 explosion).

Myropillia community: an air-dropped bomb was launched (1 explosion), and a VOG grenade was dropped from a UAV (1 explosion).

Yunakivka community: an air-dropped bomb was launched (1 explosion), mortar shelling was recorded (5 explosions), and MLRS shelling occurred (10 explosions).

Khotin community: russians struck with air-dropped bombs (2 explosions).

Okhtyrka community: a UAV attack was carried out (7 explosions). One civilian was injured in the shelling, an educational institution was damaged, windows in a five-storey residential building were shattered, and non-residential premises were damaged by the blast wave.

Svessa community: the enemy used artillery (3 explosions).

Krasnopillia community: mortar shelling was carried out (13 explosions), and air-dropped bombs were launched (5 explosions).

Nine houses were burned down as a result of enemy shelling in Myropillia community.

In Myropillia, as a result of shelling by cluster munitions and FPV-drones, seven houses were burned down. The russians destroyed almost the entire street.

In Zapsillia, as a result of FPV-drone strikes, two houses were burned down.

Chernihiv oblast

During the day on 24 April, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. Seventeen villages and the town of Semenivka came under fire. The russians dropped explosives from UAVs, launched FPV-drones, and used barrel artillery.

In Chernihiv, a fragment was removed from a soldier’s heart using a magnet. According to Vladyslav Kukhar, General  Director of the Second City Hospital, such operations had not been performed in Chernihiv before. This was done with the support of specialists from Mykola Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that in the morning, the enemy attacked the region with drones. The defenders of the sky destroyed 11 enemy UAVs. As a result of the strikes, a fire broke out in the Sinelnykivka region, damaging an enterprise and a car. In Samara region, an enterprise was also damaged, and a garage was hit. Pavlohrad was also hit. Apartments in a high-rise building caught fire. There are currently power outages in the city. Power engineers are working to repair the damage. In the evening and into the morning, the militants attacked Nikopol region. They targeted Nikopol itself and Marhanets community with drones and Grad multiple rocket launchers. A private enterprise was damaged.

The enemy again attacked two districts of the region. They are Nikopol and Sinelnykivka. There are injured people in both regions. The occupants carried out almost two and a half dozen attacks in Nikopol region. They used drones and fired from artillery. Nikopol, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities were under attack. Four people were injured, three women aged 62, 83 and 80. A man aged 46 was also injured. There was a fire. An enterprise, private houses, an administrative building, a shop, an outbuilding, a car and a gas pipeline were damaged. 

russian troops struck Novopavlivka community in Synelnykove region with multiple rocket launchers.  Two people were also injured there. A 64-year-old woman was hospitalised in moderate condition. An outbuilding, a car, and agricultural machinery caught fire. A house, a religious institution, a shop were destroyed, 7 other houses were damaged, a post office and an administrative building were damaged.

Kirovohrad oblast

Explosive experts destroyed a double warhead of a russian cruise missile in Kirovohrad oblast. According to her, the missile was armed with two high-explosive warheads weighing 400 kilograms each, which did not explode. They were taken to a safe distance and destroyed by controlled explosion.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported that at night, defenders shot down 16 russian UAVs in Cherkasy oblast.

Zaporizhzhia oblast

In the morning, the russian army struck a civilian car with an FPV drone in Prymorske, Zaporizhzhia oblast. The driver was killed on the spot.

On 24 April, the occupiers carried out 536 strikes on 10 populated areas in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 6 airstrikes on Prymorske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, and Novodanylivka. 345 UAVs of various types attacked Zaporizhzhia, Lobkove, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. 15 MLRS strikes hit Lobkove, Novodanylivka, and Shcherbaky. 170 artillery strikes were launched on Lobkove, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. There were 21 reports on damage to houses, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.

According to the General Staff, as of 4:00 pm on 25 April, the enemy attempted to advance three times near the settlements of Novodanylivka and Stepove towards Orikhiv. The Defense Forces repelled nine russian attacks near the settlements of Novodanylivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Shcherbaky, and toward Mala Tokmachka.

IAEA experts at the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) heard explosions and gunfire at varying distances from the plant daily over the past week. Specialists postponed the inspection of the ZNPP site due to the threat of drones.

Mykolaiv oblast

On 24 April, the enemy attacked Kutsurub community six times with FPV drones. As a result of one of the strikes, a 72-year-old woman was injured in the village of Dniprovske. In addition, over 400 residents of the community were left without electricity due to the drone attack. The damage was promptly repaired.

On 24 April, at around 9:45pm, the enemy attacked Shevchenkove community with a strike drone, the type of which is being determined. The attack damaged a house and caused a fire. A power line was also damaged, leaving more than 250 residents without electricity. At 11:10pm, an FPV drone struck the waters of Ochakiv community. No casualties were reported.

Odesa oblast

As of 6:00 am on 25 April, one enemy carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo capacity of up to 6 missiles was in the Black Sea. There were 4 enemy vessels in the Mediterranean Sea, including 2 carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 12 missiles.

Over the past day, 2 vessels passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea in russia’s interests, while 8 more ships entered the Sea of Azov.

The Maritime Guard of the State Border Guard Service and the Security Service of Ukraine detained a vessel in the Black Sea that was illegally exporting Ukrainian grain from occupied Crimea. The investigation established that at the end of 2024, the ship delivered about five thousand tons of Ukrainian wheat from the port of Sevastopol, which had been taken from the temporarily occupied southern part of Ukraine.

A modern shelter designed for 700 students was opened at the Molodizhne Lyceum of Velykodolynske community. It is a fully equipped educational space, safe during air raids, with classrooms, a movie theater, a studio, play areas, and a future local history museum. The facility was built as part of the “New Underground Shelters for Schools in Ukraine” initiative, launched by the European Union and the Republic of Lithuania and co-financed by the Government of Ireland. Six such shelters are planned in Ukraine, and the first was opened in Odesa oblast.

Kherson oblast

russian forces attacked the territory of the utility enterprise Kherson Parks. Four people — three drivers and a cleaner — were injured. Vehicles were damaged. A fire that broke out after the enemy dropped explosives from a drone was promptly extinguished by rescuers.

At noon, the russian army struck Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district using a UAV. As a result of the attack, three people were injured. A 50-year-old woman sustained an explosive injury, neck and abdominal wounds. A 48-year-old man suffered an explosive injury and a shoulder wound. A 56-year-old woman was diagnosed with an explosive injury and a concussion.

A  resident of Bilozerka sought medical assistance after being injured the previous day by the detonation of an explosive device. The 32-year-old man, who rode a bicycle over the explosive, was diagnosed with an explosive injury and a knee contusion.

Another resident of Bilozerka required medical help after being attacked by a UAV on 22 April. He sustained an explosive injury, concussion, and brain trauma.

Yesterday, the enemy shelled Antonivka, Molodizhne, Sadove, Zelenivka, Prydniprovskе, Stanislav, Bilozerka, Sofiivka, Oleksandrivka, Shyroka Balka, Beryslav, Zmiivka, Havrylivka, Mylove, Dudchany, Osokorivka, Novovorontsovka, Novokairy, Kostyrka, Chervonyi Maiak, Odradokamianka, Shliakhove, Burhunka, Veletenske, Vesele, Dniprovskе, Zorivka, Inhulets, Kizomys, Mykilske, Mykolaivka, Mylove, Respublikanets, Tokarivka, Tiahynka, Khreshchenivka, and the city of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, three apartment buildings, fifteen private homes, a gas pipeline, a garage, and private cars were damaged. Two people were killed and three others injured due to russian aggression.

It is reported that Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped three enemy attempts to advance towards Kherson. Over the past day, enemy losses amounted to 118 personnel, 21 artillery systems including a Gvozdika, a Buk-M2 air defense missile system, 27 vehicles and armored units, 8 reconnaissance UAVs, 2 electronic warfare stations, 2 boats, 6 motorcycles, 4 quad bikes, 4 UAV antennas, 4 communication antennas, 5 Starlink systems, 2 generators, 1 ammunition storage site, and 1 logistics storage site. Additionally, 40 shelters and 6 observation posts were destroyed.

Another batch of aid from the American nonprofit World Central Kitchen was delivered to Vesele. Residents received Easter bread, food and vegetable kits, bottled drinking water, and seeds.

A meeting with family members of the deceased, missing persons and veterans took place in Oleksandriysk community. They discussed changes in Ukrainian legislation regarding missing persons and their families, algorithms for searching for military personnel, legal and social guarantees, as well as forms of psychological and legal support for veterans.

Ternopil oblast

Assistance for the treatment and rehabilitation of military personnel (UAH 15,000 each) was allocated in Ternopil. In 2024, such payments were provided to 295 soldiers.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that the community has allocated UAH 29m to complete the construction of shelters in educational institutions.

Khmelnytskyi community sent 53 different electronic warfare devices worth UAH 15m to the military.

Chernivtsi oblast

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, awarded the fallen Bukovyna Heroes. The III degree Orders For Courage (posthumously) were awarded to Junior Sergeant Yurii Melnychuk, Senior Soldier Artem Kazakov, Senior Soldier Yurii Omelchak, Soldier Volodymyr Domitrashchuk, Soldier Vitalii Makoviychuk, Soldier Viktor Moloch, Soldier Oleh Sapozhnikov, Soldier Oleksii Solomin and Soldier Viktor Cherney.
