It has been the 819 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6pm:   

The enemy continues to attack along almost the entire frontline, with the total number of offensive and assault operations having risen to 105 today. The largest number of combat engagements was towards Kupiansk. The Defence Forces are responding flexibly to the enemy actions and are taking all necessary measures to exhaust the offensive potential of russian troops.

Towards Kharkiv, all 10 combat engagements were near Lyptsi village. One is still ongoing. The enemy concentrated all of today’s airstrikes in Vovchansk and Vilcha village. The enemy was dropping KAB bombs. The situation is under control.

Towards Kupiansk, fighting is ongoing near Synkivka, Berestove, Druzheliubivka and Hrekivka.

Towards Lyman, 6 enemy attacks were repelled near Torske and Nevske. The invaders dropped four KABs, one bomb each in Serebrianka forest, Terny, Yampolivka and Ivanivka.

Towards Kramatorsk, the total number of enemy attempts to improve the tactical situation increased to eight. The situation is under control. In addition, the invaders launched missiles near Novomykolaivka and dropped a guided aerial bomb near Shumy.

Towards Siversk, our troops are currently repelling three attacks near Bilohorivka and Vyimka villages. The enemy dropped three KABs near Siversk and Hryhorivka. Three airstrikes involving the use of rocket-propelled grenades and aerial bombs happened in the sector today.

Towards Kramatorsk, five enemy attacks were repelled. Three more firefights continue near Ivanivske and Andriivka. The situation is under control. The enemy launched almost two dozen unguided aerial missiles near Druzhba, Pivnichne and Diliivka.

Towards Pokrovsk, 11 combat engagements are ongoing and another 10 hostile attacks have been repelled. Also russian terrorists launched airstrikes in Kalynove, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. The situation remains unchanged.

Towards Kurakhove, there were 18 combat engagements. Fighting is ongoing near Heorhiivka.

Towards Prydniprovskyi, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to push our troops from the left bank of the Dnipro river 7 times. The enemy losses are being clarified.

The situation in other sectors remains unchanged.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that about 100 people remain in Vovchansk, whom the invaders are actually holding hostage and not allowing to evacuate.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has set up a temporary special commission (TSC) on fortifications and the purchase of drones. The task of this commission is to study the need for drones, create a state order for their production and purchase, analyse the supply of drones to the army and study the construction of fortifications on the contact line and the targeted use of funds allocated for their construction.

MP Oleksii Honcharenko confirmed that the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on a single roaming zone with the EU. Ukrainians will be able to use mobile phones in the EU without additional charges for 4 months and Europeans will be able to use them in Ukraine. The law is aimed at gradually integrating into the EU’s Digital Single Market, namely, Ukraine’s internal market treatment with the EU in terms of roaming services by joining the EU’s Roaming at Home single roaming area.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

According to the General Staff, as of 7pm, the largest number of combat engagements was towards Kupiansk. Defence forces are currently engaged in combat near Synkivka, Berestove, Druzheliubivka and Hrekivka.

Towards Kharkiv, there were 10 combat engagements near Lyptsi, one of which was still ongoing at 7pm. The General Staff noted that russians concentrated all of today’s airstrikes around Vovchansk and Vilcha.

At 1:45pm, the invaders attacked Kharkiv. 12 civilians were injured. Five were hospitalised, one of the men is in critical condition. The hits were recorded in Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts of the city. Apartment buildings, shop buildings, car washes, cars and a civilian enterprise were damaged.

Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that two people are in critical condition after russian strikes on Kharkiv.  The driver of the trolleybus was operated on, doctors managed to save one leg, the other leg had to be amputated, and he is in intensive care in a stable condition. Terekhov added that the blast wave broke about 550 windows.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, said: that at 8am, russians attacked Chuhuiv. The building of a kindergarten was damaged and 7 people injured as a result of the enemy attack. According to preliminary data, the city was hit by S-400 missiles.

Andrii Semenov, Head of Chuhuiv Power Network, informed that as a result of the russian missile strikes, a power substation was damaged, leaving 381 consumers without electricity.

Ihor Shepeliev, Deputy Head of Chuhuiv CMA, stated that a 28-year-old man injured in a missile attack on a kindergarten in Chuhuiv is in critical condition.

The press service of Kharkiv regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that a 41-year-old police officer was killed when a russian FPV drone hit the roof of his car. According to the report, it happened around 11am in Vovchansk, and another 27-year-old law enforcement officer was injured.

At 1:10am, russians attacked Druzheliubivka village of Borova community, Izium region.  As a result of the shelling, a house was on fire. The outbuildings were damaged.

Yesterday at 6:30pm, russians attacked Hoptivka village of Kharkiv region. A woman was injured as a result of the shelling.

At 2:30pm, russians attacked Bilyi Kolodiaz village, Chuhuiv region. As a result of the enemy shelling, the working building of the enterprise was damaged.

At 1:30pm, russians attacked Zolochiv, Bohodukhiv region. There were 4 hits from multiple rocket launchers. A kindergarten and a local market were destroyed. A school, shops, a restaurant, 5 two-storey apartment blocks and private houses were damaged.

At 10am, russians attacked Lyptsi village, Kharkiv region. The shelling hit a yard, damaging two outbuildings and a house.

Towards Kharkiv, russian invaders tried 10 times to force our units out of their positions. Ukrainian soldiers repelled 6 enemy attempts to advance towards Lyptsi and launch an assault towards Pletenivka – Vovchansk. The situation remains tense near Starytsia, where one attack from Nova Tavolzhanka was repelled. Two more attacks from Buhruvatka continue.

Towards Kupiansk, the number of enemy attacks increased to 12. Combat actions continue near Synkivka, Ivanivka and Novoiehorivka. Towards Berestove, our defenders repelled two enemy assaults. The situation is under control and measures are being taken to stabilise the situation.

A total of 10875 people have been evacuated from Chuhuiv, Kharkiv and Bohodukhiv regions.

Donetsk oblast

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, said that russian troops shelled Toretsk in the morning of 22 May, killing a 26-year-old man.

At night, russians shelled Lyman, injuring a civilian. Five private houses, a shop, an administrative building, gas pipelines and a car were damaged.

The press service of Donetsk police reported that yesterday police recorded 2329 hostile attacks. The invaders focused their fire on 9 settlements: Hirnyk, Kostiantynivka, Toretsk cities, Hostre, Pivnichne settlements, Ozerne, Ostrivske, Rih, Torets villages. 16 civilian objects were damaged, including 12 residential buildings, an outbuilding, cars and a gas pipeline.

A russian missile strike on Rih, located within Pokrovsk, destroyed a private house and damaged two others. As of 7am, the rescue operation, which lasted all night at the site of the strike, was completed. The bodies of two people, a 52-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, were recovered from the rubble. Their 10-year-old son and another 24-year-old man were hospitalised with injuries.

The enemy dropped a KAB-250 bomb on Pivnichne, damaging three private houses.

Also russian troops shelled Ozerne with Uragan MRLs, damaging a private house, an outbuilding and two civilian cars.

In Kostiantynivka, 5 houses were damaged as a result of artillery shelling.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the assault near Ivanivske on 22 May, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 4 russian airborne combat vehicles. The russian army is attacking from Bakhmut, near Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske and Klishchiivka. Three attacks have already been repelled, a tank and two infantry fighting vehicles destroyed, and three more are ongoing.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, russians attacked every village with a civilian population yesterday, specifically Nevske, Makiivka and Novoliubivka. The enemy also directed artillery and mortar attack towards Stelmakhivka and Kuzemivka. The situation is the most difficult in Nevske. In addition to artillery, the settlement was hit by 4 rockets. At least five houses were hit. Outbuildings were damaged in Novoliubivka. Despite this, representatives of Krasnorichensk community managed to deliver food packages to the residents of Novoliubivka.

There were hostilities near Bilohorivka and Novoiehorivka.

The enemy launched airstrikes on Serhiivka and Makiivka.

In the suburbs of Luhansk, an explosion occurred in the building that until 2014 housed Luhansk State University of Internal Affairs named after E.O. Didorenko and recently housed one of the headquarters of the russian army. According to preliminary information, russians suffered significant losses among their officers.

In May, explosions occurred in the occupied Luhansk oblast at three infrastructure facilities that stored fuel and lubricants for russian army use.

The situation near the front line has been escalating for two weeks. The invaders are constantly hitting logistics routes. Recently, police officers and representatives of the local military administration, who were dealing with humanitarian issues of the civilian population living in the de-occupied villages, were shelled.

Hospitals in the so-called ‘lpr’ are filled with injured invaders from Kharkiv axis. Almost everyone is taken there so that the people of belgorod and other regions close to the border of russia do not know the true extent of the losses of the russian army.

In the so-called “lpr”, on the one hand, they emphasise price control for socially important goods, and on the other hand, they allow entrepreneurs not to install cash registers in their shops. This decision was made for the territory of more than 440 settlements. This means that no one will check the price of goods at which they will be sold to people. The reasons mentioned by the invaders are the lack of regular transport links and the terrible state of the roads. In other words, they complain about the logistics and infrastructure they have destroyed over the years.

In the primary schools of Novopskov and Bilolutsk communities, the invaders are preparing children for possible terrorist attacks on these schools, not in theory, but in practice. Specifically, they rehearsed seizing the building and making school students lie on the floor, threatening them with mock weapons.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

The RMA warns residents of Kyiv oblast about planned blasting operations in Vyshhorod district and calls on them to remain calm. Specialists of the State Emergency Service will be disposing of explosive devices, so it may be noisy.

KMVA has announced the schedule of hourly blackouts for industrial and residential consumers from 12am to 7am and from 6pm to 12am in Kyiv. Electricity curtailments are introduced to maintain the stability of the power system.

Kyivmisksvit reported that Kyiv street lighting system will continue to operate in the enhanced economy mode introduced on 17 May. Gas-discharge lamps and LED lamps operate on a special schedule based on the time of day to save electricity in times of shortage. The utility company noted that almost 40% of the lamps in Kyiv have been replaced with more economical ones, and by the end of the year, city services will replace another 12,000 lamps with LEDs.

The International Medical Partnership Conference was held in Kyiv. The event was attended by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, Minister of Health Viktor Liashko, representatives of the German-Ukrainian Health Partnership Programme GIZ, the World Health Organisation, the Ministers of Health of Lithuania and Estonia, and heads of Ukrainian and foreign hospitals.

The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) is launching a new grant support programme for micro and small businesses in some oblasts of Ukraine, including Kyiv. The financial assistance is intended to restore or expand production and create new jobs.

Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of Darnytsia District State Administration, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had received assistance from Darnytsia District of Kyiv. The 23rd Special Forces Battalion of the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Separate Presidential Brigade has been provided with 100 FPV drones and other necessary equipment.

Ukrzaliznytsia reported that graduates from Irpin, whose school was destroyed by a russian missile, danced a waltz at Kyiv railway station to the accompaniment of the famous Spanish violinist Leticia Moreno. An air raid alert sounded during the performance of the song and dance, but this did not stop the graduates from continuing their rehearsals in a shelter under the station building. 

Zhytomyr oblast

As part of the project “Supporting Decentralisation: Building the Capacity of Territorial Communities in the Social Services Sector”, representatives of Kurne Village Council and the Children’s Service visited 6 Polish communities during the week and took part in training sessions. The purpose of these events was to familiarise Ukrainian representatives with Polish experience in creating and implementing strategies for solving social problems, and to study effective practices in the provision of social assistance to the population.

Students of Zhytomyr Lyceum Nº12 donated batteries for drones to the defenders of Ukraine. The aid was purchased with funds raised during an Easter charity fair organised by the school.

According to the RMA report, a volunteer from France, Emmanuel Buet, who is cycling from Paris to Kyiv, was met in Zhytomyr. His goal is to collect donations for the purchase of equipment for educational institutions in Ukraine, including shelters, where students often have to study due to air raids. 

In Zhytomyr, high school students tried themselves as rescuers.They took part in an educational event at the 3rd State Fire and Rescue Unit to learn more about the profession of rescuers and try their hand at fire and rescue courses such as the “obstacle course” and “mine safety”.

Sumy oblast

Sumy RMA reported that at night and in the morning, russians shelled the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast 6 times. A total of 31 attacks were recorded (22 were artillery attacks, 2 were UAV drops). Bilopillia, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Konotop and Shostka communities were affected.

Additionally, the enemy launched an airstrike using a Shahed UAV against the power facilities of Shostka and Konotop. In the morning of 22 May, power engineers restored electricity supply to Sumy, Romny and Okhtyrka regions. Electricity supply restoration is ongoing.

Konotop Mayor Artem Semenikhin and Shostka Mayor Mykola Noha informed that trams had stopped running in Konotop due to the russian attack on Sumy oblast energy infrastructure. Educational institutions of the Konotop community work remotely. Most of the Shostka community remains left without electricity and water supply. 

The RMA reported that the Regional Air Defence Forces destroyed 7 enemy Shahed UAVs in the sky over Sumy oblast. 

On 21 May, the russian military fired 34 times at Sumy oblast. A total of 201 explosions from various types of weapons were recorded. 11 communities of the oblast were shelled: Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Myropillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Konotop, Esman, Shalyhyne, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske.

That day the RMA also informed that the enemy launched a missile attack on the production infrastructure of Konotop. One person was injured. On the territory of the Velyka Pysarivka community (in addition to shelling with mortars, artillery, AGS, and dropping VOG ammunition from a UAV), the enemy launched 14 helicopter-launched aerial missiles.

A woman was wounded in the village of Solianyky of Bilopil community as a result of russian strikes on 21 May. She is currently in hospital under medical supervision, her condition is satisfactory. Private houses in the village were also damaged.

In Konotop, a 59-year-old employee of a company was wounded. Also, according to the North military command, critical infrastructure facilities, an administrative building and a warehouse were damaged.

The acting head of the community, Oleh Zahorskyi, stated that in Seredyna-Buda, the shelling damaged an administrative building, three residential buildings, a warehouse and a private house. The russian army attacked the city council with drones, and a fire broke out in the building. A critical infrastructure facility was damaged in the village of Voronizh of Shostka community.

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that over the past day, russian troops shelled the territory of the Novhorod-Siverskyi community.They recorded 23 attacks with cannon artillery and mortars in the direction of the settlements of Krasny Khutir and Buda-Vorobievska.

About 10 explosive devices were found in water bodies in Chernihiv oblast. According to the regional State Emergency Service, the de-mining of rivers and lakes in the region began on 9 May, and since then, sapper divers have surveyed 5,000 sq m of water.

Environmentalists have calculated the environmental damage caused by the russian missile strike on 17 April 2024 on the Profspilkovy Hotel in Chernihiv. As reported by the State Ecological Inspectorate of Chernihiv oblast, the expenses amount to two billion 380 million UAY 283,000. Three russian missiles hit the hotel’s multi-storey building, its annexe and a partially two-storey residential building nearby, which led to the contamination of the adjacent land plots with destruction waste such as structural fragments and construction waste. In addition, according to the results of the environmental study, the surveyed land has undergone negative quantitative and qualitative changes as a result of its contamination with chemicals.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

At night, 3 enemy shaheds were destroyed over the oblast. They were shot down by the defenders of the skies over Dniprovskyi, Pavlohradskyi and Kryvyi Rih regions. The occupiers continued to attack Nikopol region at night. In total, there were 6 attacks in the area from evening to morning. They launched 3 kamikaze drones and fired from artillery the same number of times. They were targeting the region’s centre, Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. The shelling damaged an infrastructure facility and a power line.

A hostile UAV was shot down in the Kamianske regions by the Sky Guard.

There were 21 attacks in Nikopol region. The occupiers launched 19 drones and fired twice from artillery. The region’s centre, Pokrovsk, Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka communities were hit. A two-story residential building, an agricultural company, an administrative building, a shop, an outbuilding, a minibus, an excavator, a truck and a car, and a gas pipeline were damaged. No people were injured. There is destruction in Novomoskovsk region. Six houses and a car were damaged there. The enemy hit DniprovskyI region with a rocket. There were no casualties.

Vinnytsia oblast

​​Petro Bolshuk, a defender from Vinnytsia oblast, was awarded the Golden Cross medal. The soldier has been serving since March 2022. He performed combat missions in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Donetsk oblasts.

In recent days, we have learned about the deaths of fellow countrymen who defended Ukraine. These are YuriI Borysovych DobranskyI, Denys Oleksandrovych Slobodianiuk, Leonid Mykolaiovych Halapenko, Serhii Hennadiiovych Dronov, Andrii Volodymyrovych Benza, Volodymyr Vasylovych Lesko, Viktor Mykolaiovych Vavrukh, Viktor Viktorovych Khomiuk and Vadym Viktorovych Titov.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of RMA, reported that tactical exercises will be held in the Oleksandriia region from 22 to 25 May. 

Three defenders from Kirovohrad oblast were killed at the front. 

Vladyslav Bashirov was killed on 16 May during an assault by the Ukrainian armed forces near the village of Kalynivka, Donetsk oblast.

Vitaliy Stovba was killed on 18 May near the village of Ocheretyne, Donetsk oblast. He was 42 years old.

Yevhen Kotov, born in 2001, was killed on 15 May while performing a combat mission near the village of Novopokrovske, Donetsk oblast.

Poltava oblast

In Kremenchuk, plaques with QR codes have been installed on buildings with memorial plaques to the victims. From them, you can find out information in whose honour the memorial plaques are installed. There are 12 such plates in the city.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of RMA, reported that Cherkasy oblast has provided the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade with the necessary reinforcement. These are 150 FPV drones. 

In the Chyhyryn community, memorial plaques to three fallen defenders were unveiled on the walls of schools: Tributes to Volodymyr Vovkohon, Eduard Shevchyk and Volodymyr Shandra, who died defending Ukraine.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday, the enemy executed 391 strikes on 8 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces hit Zaporizhzhia with a missile and carried out 2 airstrikes on Novoandriivka. 182 UAVs attacked Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, and Novoandriivka. 15 MLRS shellings targeted Huliaipole, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, and Levadne. There were 191 artillery strikes on Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Robotyne, Levadne, Malynivka, and Stepnohirsk. Nine reports of housing destruction were received.

100 shelter stops will be set up, and 500 surveillance cameras will be installed on the streets in Zaporizhzhia. This was announced by Ivan Fedorov, the head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration. According to him, a street video monitoring system with facial recognition will be created at the request of law enforcement to identify criminals and saboteurs who correct russian strikes.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of 22 May, air defense forces in the Mykolaiv region destroyed 10 Shahed 131/136 UAVs.

On 21 May, at 11:50pm, the enemy shelled the waters of Ochakiv community with artillery. There were no casualties.

Suspilne reported, citing sources in the special services, that Sea Baby marine drones are now equipped with Grad systems and are actively destroying russian occupiers. The night before last, the Security Service of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ukrainian Navy, effectively targeted russian positions on the Kinburn Spit from the sea using the Dea Baby.

On Wednesday, 22 May, with the support of UNDP and the EU, a new modular administrative services center was opened in Voznesensk. The construction of the modular ASC allows for the provision of over 400 types of administrative services in one building. According to Vitalii Kim, there is a need to open ASCs in 15 more communities in the region. The installation of similar ASCs is planned in Snihurivka, Bashtanka, and Shevchenkove communitiy.

Odesa oblast

On the night of 22 May, air defence forces destroyed two Shahed-136/131 drones over the Odesa oblast. In total, air defence forces shot down all 24 Shaheds.

Deputies of Odesa City Council allocated UAH 36m to brigades fighting in Kharkiv oblast. This decision was made on 22 May during an extraordinary session. 

A new educational space has opened in Chornomorsk. More than 900 students have the opportunity to engage in additional studies and enhance their computer literacy skills. The project was implemented with the support of UNICEF and the Winds of Change Charitable Foundation.

Kherson oblast

Yesterday, the enemy attacked Novoberyslav, Kozatske, Antonivka, Respublikanets, Ivanivka, Havrylivka, Veletenske, Poniativka, Burhunka, Sadove, Bilozerka, Beryslav, Mykhailivka, Vesele, Kozatske, Prydniprovske, and the city of Kherson. 19 objects were damaged: 5 private houses, 6 apartment buildings, 2 cars, a motorboat, gas pipelines, a grain storage tank on the territory of an agricultural company, a mobile communication tower, and an agricultural building. 8 people were injured, including one child due to russian aggression. 

Later, Kherson RMA reported about two more people injured as a result of yesterday’s shelling of Kherson. One victim was diagnosed with a mine-blast injury and concussion, while the other had a mine-blast injury and forearm wounds.

Activists of the Yellow Ribbon movement report the movement of grain containers to the republic of karelia. These containers belong to logistics companies from China and Kazakhstan, which serve as a buffer zone for circumventing sanctions and supplying materials from other countries. The occupiers are using stolen Ukrainian grain to pay for the import of sanctioned goods.

The International Committee of the Red Cross provided residents of Urozhaine with water containers, garden tools, seed kits, fertilisers, and a drip irrigation set for open soil. Residents of Velyka Oleksandrivka received 800 family hygiene kits from UNICEF.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

In Lutsk, the 10th anniversary of the memory of the fallen soldiers near Volnovakha, Donetsk oblast, was commemorated. On 22 May, 2014, a battle between the 51st Separate Mechanised Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and pro-russian gang formations of the self-proclaimed donetsk people’s republic took place. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this battle became the largest since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation and in general in the history of the Ukrainian army up to that time. Then 18 Ukrainian soldiers were killed, 10 of whom were from Volyn oblast.

The RMA held meetings of the Regional Defense Council. During a working meeting with representatives of contracting organisations that are building fortifications in the north of the oblast, they discussed the progress of work, deadlines and needs to speed up construction.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Regional Council held meetings with Nataliia Matskova and Taras Martyniuk, representatives of the Caritas CF of the Czech Republic, and Oleksii Syrovatkin and Fedir Danylchenko, UNHCR representatives. They discussed repair of the dormitory of Berehovo Vocational Lyceum of the Service Sphere, which is planned to be completed by the end of 2024

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Ivano-Frankivsk City Council reported that the community sent 30 FPV drones for the Sapsan Tactical Group as part of the 24th Separate Mechanised Brigades.

The RMA reported that Volodymyr Veselovskyi, orthopedist-traumatologist at Nadvirnia Children’s Hospital, received the For a Saved Life medal by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine.

Lviv oblast

Arunas Dulkis, Minister of Health of Lithuania, and Maryna Slobodnichenko, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine for European Integration are visiting Lviv oblast. They visited medical institutions of the oblast, shared successes and discussed new projects based on Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center, the All-Ukrainian Center for Prosthetics, Reconstructive Surgery and Rehabilitation of War Victims, the Superhumans Center, and other institutions in Lviv oblast.

Lviv RMA and the Revival of Defenders of Ukraine CF signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The fund takes care of NextStep Ukraine rehabilitation centres operating in Irpen and Lviv. Such centres help defenders with neuro traumas, traumatic amputations, bullet and mine-explosive injuries, and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

Lviv City Council reported that the community sent 4 buggies worth UAH 2,7m thanks to the budget funds. Tenders have also been announced for 750 FPVs, 60 drones and 4 more buggies. This is approximately UAH 21m.

In Velykyi Liubin community, a memorial plaque to Oleh Mazurva, scout-sniper of the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the Airborne Assault Forces, was installed. The hero was killed on 19 May, 2022 in a battle in Izium region, Kharkiv oblast.

Rivne oblast

The police received a report about buildingі of Rivne RMA and the Regional Council being mined buildings. According to the protocol, all employees were evacuated. Special services conducted an inspection of the premises. No explosive objects were found.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that the community іуте a DJI Mavic 3T quadcopter and 2 DJI Mavic 3 quadcopters to the 14th Separate Mechanised Brigade. In total, since the beginning of the year, 1,250 FPV drones, 128 quadcopters, 6 sets of FPV Molfar drones and 30 iFlight XL10V6 drones have been sent to the front.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent to the 86th Battalion a car thanks to the socially responsible business and 30 ten-inch FPV drones worth almost UAH 500,000.

Khmelnytskyi City Council held an extraordinary session. The title of Honorary Citizen of the community was awarded to 65 soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine. The award also includes UAH 160,000.

Chernivtsi oblast

The RMA reported that Vasyl Fedoriak, Marichel Zvinka, Vadym Hulevaty, Dmytro Tkachuk and Anatolii Sanduliak were posthumously awarded the III degree Order of Courage. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Sweden agreed to $7bn in military aid for Ukraine in 2024-2026. The government emphasised that Sweden will support Ukraine as long as it is necessary.

Ukraine and Sweden have started negotiations on concluding an agreement on cooperation in the field of security.

Kaia Kallas, Prime Minister of Estonia, announced that some countries sent military personnel to Ukraine to train the Armed Forces.

The US House Intelligence Committee has published a letter to Pentagon chief Austin urging him to speed up aid to Ukraine, train more Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 and allow US weapons to strike targets in so-called russia.

Rafael Mariano Grossi, IAEA Director General, stated that the Agency conducted an impartial investigation, which confirmed that there was no fact of improper use of nuclear materials in Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Ilham Aliyev, President Azerbaijan. The issues of regional security and bilateral cooperation were discussed.
