On 21 February, the total number of combat engagements along the entire frontline was 53.
The defence forces are holding their lines and taking the necessary measures to prevent a breakthrough.
The invaders do not stop using artillery on the regions bordering the enemy. Huta-Studenetska, Chernihiv oblast; Bachivsk, Vovkivka, Kucherivka, Sumy oblast, came under fire from russian aggressors.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions, however, it did launch air strikes with NARs on the town of Zolochiv.
Towards Kupiansk, Ukrainian defenders stopped three attacks by the invaders near Zahryzove. Another firefight is still ongoing.
Towards Lyman, the enemy is attacking in the vicinity of Kopanky, Novolyubivka, Terny and Kolodiazi. In total, there were four combat engagements in this sector, two of which are still ongoing.
Towards Kramatorsk, Ukrainian defence forces repelled three enemy attempts to advance near Vasyukivka, and the fighting is still ongoing. Kostiantynivka and Chasiv Yar came under enemy air strikes.
Towards Toretsk, the enemy attacked Ukrainian troops’ positions eight times in the vicinity of Diliivka and Toretsk, six engagements are still ongoing. The enemy also carried out air strikes with guided bombs on Toretsk.
Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 14 times today near Vodiane Druhe, Elizavetivka, Svyrydonivka, Promin, Pishchane, Serhiivka, Andriivka and Ulakly; one firefight is still ongoing.
Towards Novopavlivka, three enemy attacks were stopped, as the invaders tried to break through the defensive positions of Ukrainian units in the areas of Kostiantynopol and Burlatske. One firefight is still ongoing.
Towards Huliaipole, The settlements of Novopil and Guliaipole came under air strikes with unguided missiles.
Towards Orikhiv, the enemy attacked our defenders’ positions twice in the areas of Shcherbaky and Piatikhatky.
Towards Siversk and Kherson, the enemy did not conduct any active operations.
The invaders attacked our defenders eight times in Kursk oblast, in addition, the enemy launched 11 airstrikes, dropping 15 drones, and fired 268 artillery shells, including three from multiple launch rocket systems.
In other areas, there were no major changes in the situation.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that at night, russia launched 160 Shahed-type UAVs over the territory of Ukraine. They also used imitation drones and 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 missiles.
Mykolaiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych says that in Mykolaiv, heat supply has been restored to houses that were cut off due to the effects of russian shelling of the thermal power plant. He also noted that 9 buildings were without heat supply due to repair works.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
On the evening of 20 February, russian troops attempted to storm Ukrainian positions towards Lozova, Kupiansk region as reported by the press service of the Achilles separate regiment of unmanned aerial systems. The attack was repelled, and three units destroyed four infantry fighting vehicles of the russian army.
The General Staff reported that towards Kharkiv, the occupiers did not conduct any offensive actions since the beginning of the day, but they did launch air strikes with unguided missiles on Zolochiv.
Towards Kupiansk, fighting continues. In total, the Defence Forces stopped three russian assaults near Zahryzove.
Towards Lyman, the russian army attacked four times, in particular, near Kopanky. Two attacks continue to be repelled.
Towards Kharkiv, three enemy attacks were repelled near Vovchansk and Zakhidne yesterday.
Towards Kupiansk, seven combat engagements took place yesterday near Zahryzove and Petropavlivka.
Shelling
In the morning, there were three airstrikes on Zolochiv community: the first on the village, the second on the marshy area of Zolochiv, and the third on the outskirts of the village of Orishanka. Five people were injured. In Zolochiv, the explosions destroyed two private houses and a car, and damaged six other houses, the administrative building of the Employment Centre, and power and gas networks.

At 02:41, Kharkiv region, Karavan village came under attack by the russian federation. The wreckage of a Shahed UAV was spotted.
The day before, at 23:58, the enemy attacked Kupiansk region, the village of Velykyi Burluk. As a result of the attack, 2 private houses and 3 vehicles, including 2 ambulances, were damaged on the open territory of the GAB.
At 12:29, the enemy attacked Berestyn region, Krestyshche village. Wreckage of a Shahed was found on the territory of a civilian enterprise.
At 10:30, the enemy attacked Kharkiv region, the village of Slatyne. A private residential building and a car were damaged as a result of the shelling by the GAB.
At 10:30, the enemy attacked Bohodukhiv region. 2 MRLS hit the open area on the outskirts of Svitlychne village; 2 MRLS hit the open area on the outskirts of Sosnivka village; 1 MRLS hit the open area on the outskirts of Baranivka village. There were no reports of casualties or damage.
At around 08:00, the enemy attacked Izium region, Balakliyevka community. A UAV was spotted on the territory of the enterprise. There were no casualties.

In Kharkiv subway, starting from 21 February, announcements of a nationwide minute of silence will be made daily, the subway press service said. It is noted that at this time, broadcasting of advertising and information messages on TV screens located at some stations will be suspended.
In Kharkiv oblast, automated warning systems will be created to introduce separate alarms in communities, the press service of the regional administration reported. The heads of the communities have to develop plans and estimates for this, and the work should be completed by the end of 2026.
Donetsk oblast

Viktor Trehubov, Spokesman for the Khortytsia military unit, informs that the primary plan of the russian military towards Pokrovsk was disrupted. As a result, the occupiers are now actively redeploying troops between the sectors using the frozen ground. The situation around the town of Chasiv Yar remains unchanged. russian troops continue to deploy more resources to advance, but are not yet successful.
Denys Bobkov, senior officer of the communications department of the 37th Marine Brigade, informs that the russian army is using armoured vehicles in the south towards Pokrovsk in a cyclical manner: for two or three weeks it attacks with columns of tanks, armoured personnel carriers and armoured personnel carriers, then with infantry while it restores reserves of armoured vehicles.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that russian troops are trying to break through Ukrainian defences towards Novopavlivka. Over the past day, the occupiers attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 12 times near Kostiantynopol, Rozdolne, Novoocheruvate and Pryvilne.
Ukrainian troops stopped most of the assaults towards Pokrovsk, where russians tried to advance 34 times near Promin, Pokrovsk, Pishchane, Lysivka, Vodiane Druhe, Serhiivka, Nadiyivka, Bohdanivka, Sribne, Andriivka, and Ulakly.
The russian army stormed the positions of the Defence Forces in the urban area of Toretsk 10 more times.
The TRO brigade reported that Ukrainian troops destroyed a russian 2C1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery system in the Pokrovsk sector. It was hit by FPV drones.
Shelling
The Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office says that in the morning, Kostiantynivka was hit by FAB-250 bombs with correction modules. The occupiers killed a 40-year-old man, a woman and a man aged 63 and 64 were wounded.
As reported by the RMA, the enemy attacked the private sector of Sloviansk. The victims include a 65-year-old man and five women aged 54 to 83. They were diagnosed with shrapnel wounds and acute stress reaction. The destruction included 59 private houses and an educational institution.

The head of Donetsk Military Administration said that as a result of a russian strike on the village of Nikanorivka, one person was killed and one wounded.
A 39-year-old man was wounded in Kramatorsk as a result of a russian air strike.
More than 100 private houses were damaged in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk by Russian strikes throughout the day.
The day before, police recorded 3,399 hostile attacks on the frontline and residential areas. russian forces attacked 13 settlements. 100 civilian objects were damaged, including 62 residential buildings.

The russians shelled Kostiantynivka 9 times: with aerial bombs, Smerch MLRS, artillery and drones. Five civilians were killed and another person was injured. 12 apartment buildings and 14 private houses, a pharmacy, a shop, a dormitory, 2 boiler houses, 7 garages, 7 civilian cars, 6 power lines, 2 gas pipelines were destroyed.
The enemy dropped two FAB-250 bombs on the town of Mykolaiivka, killing one person and damaging 22 private houses and infrastructure.
russia struck Vesele of the Komarska community with an UMPB D-30SN bomb, killing one person and destroying a private house. Another bomb exploded in the village of Komar, damaging a hospital.
In Pokrovsk a civilian was wounded, 4 apartment buildings and 1 private house damaged.
In Myrnohrad, three hospital buildings were destroyed as a result of an airstrike. In Rodynske, an enemy drone strike damaged an educational institution and an administrative building.
The occupiers sent 2 FAB-250 bombs to Sloviansk, damaging 1 apartment building, 5 private houses, a hospital and a boiler room. In Markove, two households were damaged.
Other
Participants of the Invictus Games 2025 returned to Ukraine after the competition in Canada. Among them is Oleksandr Andrienko from Avdiivka, Donetsk oblast. The veteran won two individual and one team medal at the Games.
Luhansk oblast
Artem Lysohor, Head of the RMA, reports that yesterday, the invaders concentrated their attack efforts on Bilohorivka. They tried to storm our positions there twice – both times they failed. Ukrainian troops are holding the line. 172 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles were intending to target our fortifications in Luhansk oblast. russians used artillery four times yesterday.
The three waste recycling complexes in Luhansk, Siverskodonetsk and Antratsyt will only accept 50% of the waste from the so-called ‘luhansk people’s republic’. The other half will probably come from neighbouring regions of the russian federation. However, over the past three years, residents of these three cities have heard only promises to start construction of these waste storage facilities in the near future. Everything has stopped at the project level.
Artem Lysohor, Head of the RMA, reports that the occupation authorities in Luhansk oblast have allocated 2.2 billion rubles to rebuild the town of Brianka, which has not been damaged by the fighting – russian troops occupied the town in 2014. This is how russians are ‘laundering’ money”.

Kyiv oblast
The Regional Military Administration reported that power lines were damaged in Bucha and Obukhiv regions of Kyiv oblast as a result of an enemy attack. The power supply has been restored. In Boryspil district, the roof of a private house was damaged. The alarm lasted almost all night. No one was injured.
DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids informed that within two days, on 20 and 21 February, power engineers repaired three power lines damaged by russian shelling in Kyiv oblast and restored electricity supply to almost a thousand homes.
At Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant, work continues to eliminate the consequences of a russian drone attack on the shelter over the fourth power unit. According to the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management, no smouldering areas have been detected so far. Employees of the State Emergency Service and special groups continue to carry out thermal imaging aerial monitoring of the entire perimeter of the New Safe Confinement.
Mykola Kalashnyk, Head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration, informed about the 10 rehabilitation units for war veterans in Kyiv oblast. Preparatory work is being completed in three more. The RECOVERY rehabilitation centre operates on the basis of Kyiv Regional Clinical Hospital, where up to 50 patients can undergo rehabilitation at a time. Last year, more than 1,600 servicemen received medical care here.
The Trembita drone missile was presented for the first time at the Defence Tech Innovations 2025 forum in Kyiv. It has a 20-kilogram warhead and a range of over 140 km.
A presentation of the book ‘The Third Year of the Full-Scale War’ dedicated to the heroes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system took place in the capital. The book contains 28 stories of employees of various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, including those who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Zhytomyr oblast
On the night of 21 February, the Air Defence Forces were deployed in Zhytomyr oblast during an air alert. The Air Force reported that drones were shot down. The air alert in the region lasted from 22:01 on 20 February to 02:57 on 21 February.
Vitaliy Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, visited the modern intensive care unit at the Regional Medical Specialised Centre after it had been reconstructed. The Centre remains the only facility in the region that provides inpatient psychiatric care for children and adults, including military personnel returning from the frontline.
Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration supported a project of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which allows military personnel and veterans, as well as police and rescuers, to go swimming for free with a professional coach.
Sumy oblast
In Sumy, as a result of an explosion from an unidentified type of UAV on the evening of 20 February, a 23-year-old girl was injured. The facade of a multi-story building was also damaged. As a result of another UAV strike in a residential area, the windows and facades of two private houses were damaged.
The Regional State Administration reported that during the night and morning of 21 February, the russian army carried out 3 shellings on communities in Sumy oblast. Esman community was attacked by two FPV-drones. In Velyka Pysarivka community, a UAV strike damaged a private house.
Anti-aircraft gunners shot down 7 enemy ‘Shahed’ UAVs over Sumy oblast.
On 20 February, russians carried out 73 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 139 explosions. The enemy struck by mortars (56 explosions) and artillery (26 explosions), FPV-drones (18 explosions), launched GAB (3 explosions), NAR (5 explosions), and dropped VOG from UAVs (26 explosions). The attacks targeted 12 communities: Sumy, Khotiv, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Nova Slobidka, Hlukhiv, Esman, Shalyhyne, and Seredyna-Buda.
The City Council informed that in Sumy, at the site of the russian UAV strike on the residential sector on 21 February, a microbus of the emergency response headquarters will be working, where victims will be consulted and applications for damaged housing inspections will be accepted. Volunteers from the NGO ‘Proliska’ will bring materials for emergency repairs.
From the border area of Sumy oblast, ‘White Angel’ special police unit evacuated a family with three children: 6-year-old Bohdan, 4-year-old Eldar, and 3-year-old Daniil. The family had been in a dangerous oblast for an extended period where shelling did not cease.

Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that throughout the day on 20 February, the russian army attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy used unguided air rockets (3 strikes), FPV-drones (12 strikes), UAV drops (13 strikes), artillery (2 strikes), and mortars (19 strikes). Thirteen villages came under fire.
Operational Command ‘North’ informed that in Novhorod-Siverskyi community, a private house was damaged as a result of an FPV-drone strike on Vorobiivka village.
After one of the airstrikes in Chernihiv region, fragments of a russian strike UAV were found, which was shot down by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. According to the Oblast Police, explosives experts examined them and defused an unexploded warhead.
Chernihiv Regional Council reported that an innovative rehabilitation center for wounded soldiers has been opened at Chernihiv Regional Hospital. Over 1,000 defenders will be able to undergo free rehabilitation there each year.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that last night, the occupiers continued to attack Nikopol region. They attacked Marhanets community with artillery.
During the day, the enemy attacked Nikopol region about ten times. The occupiers fired with artillery and kamikaze drones. They targeted the region centre, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovsk communities. A multi-storey building, a private house and infrastructure were damaged.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, reported that at night in Kirovohrad oblast, defenders shot down russian UAVs.
Serhiy Yakunin, Head of the press service of the city council, the second edition of the book “Invincible. The Year 2022” was presented in Kropyvnytskyi, published at the expense of the city budget. The book contains 214 short stories about soldiers from Kirovohrad oblast who died in the russian-Ukrainian war.
Poltava oblast

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Today, 21 February, russian forces once again shelled Huliaipole with guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, three people were injured, and at least 13 houses were destroyed.
Yesterday, the occupiers carried out 588 strikes on 12 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy launched 22 airstrikes on Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, and Mala Tokmachka. 329 UAVs of various types attacked Bilenke, Malokaterynivka, Stepnohirsk, Pavlivka, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. 8 MLRS attacks targeted Shcherbaky, Charivne, and Novodarivka, while 229 artillery strikes hit Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. Reports were received about damage to 10 apartments and private houses. One person was killed, and another was injured due to russian aggression.
Yesterday, 20 February, the russian army attacked the front-line settlement of Stepnohirsk. A police car was destroyed in the shelling, but no casualties were reported.
As of 16:00 on 21 February, the enemy launched two attacks on Ukrainian defensive positions near Shcherbaky and Piatykhatky towards Orikhiv. On 20 February 20, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled five russian attacks in this area.
Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that 12 vehicles were provided for five brigades in the Zaporizhzhia front, including 10 pickup trucks and 2 minibusses.
87 kindergartens are now operating in a mixed format in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Classes are conducted in safe, well-equipped shelters, and children can stay in the kindergarten for up to four hours a day. A year ago, all kindergartens in the regional center were functioning online.
Mykolaiv oblast
On the night of 21 February, air defense forces destroyed four Shahed 131/136 UAVs in Mykolaiv oblast.
Yesterday, 20 February, at around 17:05, the enemy attacked Bashtanka region, likely with an S-300/S-400 missile. Several houses’ Windows and doors were damaged due to falling debris and the blast wave. russian forces also twice attacked Kutsurub community with FPV drones and shelled it with artillery. During one of the attacks in the village of Dmytrivka, a power line was damaged but was quickly restored. On 20 February, at 12:29, the enemy attacked the waters of Ochakiv community with an FPV drone. No casualties were reported.
Odesa oblast
On the night of 21 February, russia launched an attack on Odesa oblast with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea.
As of 6 a.m. on 21 February, four enemy ships were present in the Mediterranean Sea, including three carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total salvo capacity of up to 26 missiles.
In October 2024, over 125 tons of sunflower oil spilled into the Sukhyi estuary due to a russian attack on the port infrastructure of Odesa oblast. Environmental experts estimated the damages to be 10.9 billion UAH.=
A memorial plaque was unveiled in the city of Izmail in honor of fallen soldier Roman Serhieiev, call sign “Volunteer.” He was killed in Luhansk oblast while carrying out a combat mission.
Kherson oblast
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported the death of a resident of Antonivka due to enemy shelling on 17 February.
Today, russians attacked a woman in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson city with a drone. The 59-year-old suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wound to her shin and is in critical condition.
A resident of Mykilske sought medical attention after being injured by a russian UAV attack today. The 57-year-old man was diagnosed with a blast injury, wounds, and bone fractures in his arm.
Yesterday, russian forces launched artillery and airstrikes on multiple settlements, including Beryslav, Bilozerka, Novodmytrivka, Mylove, Havrylivka, Novooleksandrivka, Urozhaine, Tiahynka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Veletenske, Stanislav, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Ivanivka, Vesele, Dniprovske, Zolota Balka, Kizomys, Komyshany, Mykilske, Mykolaivka, Olhivka, Osokorivka, Respublikanets, Sablukivka, Tokarivka, Tomyna Balka, Chervonyi Maiak, and the city of Kherson. russian strikes damaged 23 structures, including a multi-story and 15 private homes, a medical facility, two educational institutions, a gas distribution station, a minibus, and a car. Two people were killed and two others were injured due to russian aggression.
During a nighttime drone attack, Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down one “Shahed-131/136” over Kherson oblast.

The Southern Defense Forces continue targeting russian positions, equipment, and logistics. In the past 24 hours, russian losses amounted to 101 troops, 1 “Buk-M3” air defense system, 13 artillery and mortar systems, 1 tank, 37 vehicles and armored units, 7 ATVs and 7 motorcycles, 8 reconnaissance drones (“Zala” and “Supercam”), 5 boats, 1 surveillance camera, 1 electronic warfare system and 1 generator. Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed 22 bunkers/fortifications, three observation posts, and one enemy firing position.
A new batch of power stations was delivered to support the regional healthcare sector, funded by the Canada-Ukraine Foundation. The regional ambulance service received six SunCase battery systems. A trauma care hospital received five 3.6 kW charging stations, and two were allocated to a regional hospital.
Residents of Bilozerka community received humanitarian aid. The “ADRA” organization provided 300 food kits to residents of Tomyna Balka, and additional food assistance was sent to residents of Nadezhdivka and Chereshenka. “Global Empowerment Mission” delivered 440 food packages, while “ADRA” provided bread, and “World Central Kitchen” supplied hot meals in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson city.
Internally displaced persons in Vysokopillia community received hygiene kits. The “Patriarchal Foundation ‘Wise Cause'” distributed nearly 400 essential hygiene items.
A UN humanitarian convoy arrived in Beryslav community, delivering power banks, charging stations, hygiene and kitchen kits, warm blankets, mattresses, medical supplies, and other essential items.

The implementation of the Caring for the Hero’s Family project for families of fallen defenders and missing persons continues in the oblast. As part of it, a physical education and health-improving event was held for over 20 children of the fallen, missing and active military personnel from Perehinska and Dubivska communities. Interesting leisure activities were organized for them: relay races and sports games.
Lviv oblast
Lviv City Hall sent drones of various modifications, electronic warfare systems and a car worth UAH 6.41m to the Ukrainian defenders thanks to community funds as part of the Lion’s Revenge initiative.
Last year, 37 communities modernized their warning systems with funds from the Safe Lviv Oblast regional program. UAH 13m was allocated for these measures.
A modern reinforced concrete shelter has been built on the territory of Ozhydiv school of the Buska community, which guarantees the safety of students during possible threats. Its key feature is quick installation, which allows you to quickly create protective structures where they are needed most. The shelter can accommodate 60 people. It protects against small arms, grenade fragments, artillery ammunition and air bombs.
Ihor Maiuk, soldier of the Assault Group, from Yavoriv region was awarded with the III degree For Courage Order (posthumously). He was killed in July 2023 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia.
Rivne oblast
Mental Health Centers are being created in hospitals in Rivne oblast. The 1t Mental Health Center in Rivne oblast has opened at the Center for Mental Health.
Ternopil oblast
The RMA held a meeting with representatives of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, UN agencies, subnational cluster coordinators, international and national non-governmental organizations assisting the civilian population of Ternopil oblast. Support for IDPs was discussed.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
