It has been the 756th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On 20 March, there were 67x tactical engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 2x missile and 54x air strikes, 41x MLRS attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Residential apartment blocks and private houses got destroyed and damaged.

Volyn and Polissia axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the russian areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct subversion in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The enemy continues shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Hrytsenkove, Popivka, Velyka Pysarivka (Sumy oblast), Oleksandrivka, Kozacha Lopan, Veterynarne (Kharkiv oblast). More than 20x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Sen’kivka, Klyusy, Prohres, Hremiach (Chernihiv oblast), Volfyne, Myropillya, Ponomarenky (Sumy oblast), Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Budarky, Ambarne (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupiansk axis: the enemy did not conduct any offensive operations. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinity of Ivanivka (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 10x assaults in the vicinities of Bilohorivka, Zolotarivka (Luhansk oblast), Yampolivka, Terny, Rozdolivka, Vesele (Donetsk oblast), where the enemy, using air attacks, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Sviato-Pokrovske, Siversk, Kolodiazi, Vesele, Lyman (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15x settlements, including Serebrianske forestry, Nevs’ke, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne (Donetsk oblast)

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 5x attacks in the vicinities of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Mykolaivka, Vasyukivka, Niu-York (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 11x attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Semenivka, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, Netailove, Nevelske (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinity of Ocheretyne (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Prohres, Zhelanne, Novohrodivka, Umanske (Donetsk oblast).

Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to block the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders, using air attacks, made 18x attempts to breach Ukrainian defence. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Urozhaine, Maksymivka, Dokuchaievsk, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Berestky, Katerynivka, Blahodatne (Donetsk oblast).

Orikhiv axis: the enemy, with air support, conducted 5x attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast) and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The invaders launched an airstrike in the vicinity of Novodarivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 15x settlements, including Hulyaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Huliaipilske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Kherson axis: the enemy executed 3x assaults on positions of Ukrainian defenders on the left bank of the Dnipro. More than 10x settlements, including L’vove, Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Novotyahynka, Tokarivka (Kherson oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

On 20 March, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 10x concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.

The Ukrainian Missile Forces hit 1x ammunition depot of the russian invaders.

The Ministry of Social Policy stated that in 2023, the state allocated almost UAH 594m for prosthetic devices for the military. This is significantly more than in the first year of russia’s full-scale invasion. In 2022, servicemen were provided with upper and lower limb prostheses worth more than UAH 64.5m, and in 2023 – almost UAH 593.5m.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that a family with 2 children deprived of parental care was evacuated from the temporary occupied Kherson oblast. These are boys aged 13 and 15. 

The Ministry of Defence informed that they have opened a second recruitment centre for the Armed Forces in Zaporizhzhia. The centre will operate as an advisory and information office and if necessary, will support the enrolment of those wishing to join the Defence Forces. Citizens will be able to get information about vacant positions in the Ukrainian army and receive advice on all issues. The centre will be staffed by two civilian employees who cannot issue mobilisation summons, so their function will be purely communicative. The first recruitment centre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine started its work in February this year in Lviv. 

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that at least 5 people were killed as a result of a rocket attack on Kholodnohirskyi district. The number of injured has increased to seven. Six people were hospitalised, one refused to be hospitalised. Rescuers continue to rescue people from the rubble.

The press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that as a result of the strike on Kharkiv, a fire broke out over an area of more than 2,000 sq m. It published a photo of rescuers extinguishing the fire on the territory of the enterprise.

Oleksandr Filchakov, Head of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, said that a russian missile was found at the site of the hit, which allowed to preliminarily identify its type. The police press service added that russians attacked Kharkiv by an X-59 missile. A five-storey building, a car and the premises of a private enterprise were damaged. The injured were 66-, 48-, 38- and 47-year-old men.

At 3:45am, Kozacha Lopan village, Kharkiv region, was shelled by KAB bombs. Part of the settlement was left without electricity due to the damage to the power line. A 56-year-old man was injured and hospitalised. 

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that about 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered enemy artillery and mortar attacks: Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky, Ambarne, Dvorichna, Synkivka and others. Kozacha Lopan, Mokra Rokytna, Vesele and Izbytske were hit by airstrikes.

At 4:42pm, a private enterprise was damaged by shelling of Mokra Rokytna village, Kharkiv region. There were no casualties. 

At 1:10pm, a 47-year-old tractor driver, an employee of an agricultural enterprise, was injured in a field as a result of the detonation of an explosive object in Fedorivka, Izium region. The man received medical assistance in the hospital but was not hospitalised. 

At 8:30am, Kozacha Lopan village, Kharkiv region, was shelled by a guided aerial bomb. Two private houses, outbuildings and a car were damaged. There was no information about casualties.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy carried out 10 unsuccessful attacks near Synkivka yesterday. 

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 109.6 hectares of mines and destroyed 357 explosive ordnance. 

19 children and their families were evacuated. So far, 133 children have been evacuated from two communities: 33 from Vilkhuvatka and 100 from Velykyi  Burluk.

Ivan Shevtsov, Assistant Head of the Stalevyi Kordon border guard detachment, stated that towards Lyman-Kupiansk, russians resumed assault operations and tried to break through the defences of the Ukrainian military 24 times over a day, 10 of them near Synkivka.

Donetsk oblast

Roman Padun, Head of the CMA, told Suspilne Donbas that at 11:30am, the russian army struck Hirnyk of Kurakhove community by a guided aerial bomb. Head of Kurakhove community said that two people were injured and hospitalised, and there are destruction in the town.

Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration reported that the russian military shelled Maksymivka. As a result, two men were killed and one woman injured.

Yesterday 5 civilians were injured: four in Selydove and one in Niu-York.  Police documented the consequences of the enemy attacks.

The enemy attacked the oblast 1731 times and targeted residential areas 12 times. It was noisy in Kramatorsk, Selydove cities, Niu-York settlement, Arkhanhelske, Kryva Luka, Maksymilianivka, Netailove, Novobakhmutivka, Novoselivka Persha, Ridkodub and Romanivka villages.

66 civilian objects were damaged, including 49 residential buildings, 13 cars, a garage and outbuildings.

The invaders attacked Niu-York by artillery, injuring a man and damaging 20 private houses and 4 cars.

The invaders hit Selydove with two S-300 missiles. Four elderly residents were injured, 24 private houses and 4 cars damaged.

Three houses in Romanivka and two in Ridkodub were damaged by rocket artillery.

Kramatorsk was hit by a Smerch multiple rocket launcher, damaging five civilian cars.

Mariupol Mayor’s Councillor Petro Andriushchenko said that russian equipment with new markings was spotted. These markings look like two rectangles together.

Roman Padun, Head of Kurakhove City Military Administration, reported that it is necessary to evacuate 13 minors from four settlements of the community. 

As of 15 March, 22 children remain in the settlements of  Uspenivka region.

Following an appeal by the Suspilne Movlennia company and the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting, the American Film Academy added a nomination for Best Feature Documentary to the internationally shortened Oscars, with 20 Days in Mariupol by Mstyslav Chernov winning.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, russians intensified ground pressure on Bilohorivka, where Ukrainian troops repelled several enemy assaults. The invaders attacked there with the support of aviation and targeted the territory of Serebrianka forest. Compared to the last few days, the presence of russian aviation has increased significantly. Bilohorivka, Nevske and the surrounding settlements were under mortar and artillery attack. There were at least 87 russian attempts there.

In Novopskov community, the invaders have been unable to restore bus service between settlements and within Novopskov for two years. Before the full-scale invasion, the carriers were operating on schedule. Currently, to get to the hospital or to apply for social services, the population is forced to use taxis or walk.

In Lutuhyne, a turnout of over 90% was recorded, but during the voting, there were almost empty ballot boxes. In frontline towns, votes were collected from people in their homes and on the streets at gunpoint by russian military personnel. In putin’s election, about half a million more people “voted” in the occupied territory of Luhansk oblast than the number of adults living there. The so-called “lpr” is already making plans for the next wave of mobilisation. The invaders will focus on the occupied regions to avoid public concerns in russia.

Those who have received russian passports will be subject to conscription. They are going to restrict their travel to the territory of the russian federation. And those, who have already crossed the russian border but have not registered for military service there, will face a significant fine. To begin with, the amount will be rub 200,000.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

According to Kyiv RMA, a meeting with representatives of the Hyundai Corporation was held in Kyiv oblast. They discussed the state of reconstruction of the oblast, the development of its economic attractiveness and the supply of construction equipment. The meeting was held as part of the work of the Regional Office for International Cooperation.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, reported that US medical institutions and organisations will help hospitals in the Kyiv oblast with medical equipment. Seattle Children’s Hospital will donate equipment to children’s hospitals and the Medical Team will provide equipment to adult hospitals. Representatives of the Council of Ukrainian Churches of Washington State will help with medical equipment for the rehabilitation centre to be established in Kyiv oblast.

According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, law enforcement officers have identified a russian national guard officer accused of shooting civilian cars in Hostomel. The investigation found that in occupied Hostomel, the suspect and his colleagues received an order from their commander to kill civilians. He faces life imprisonment.

According to Kyiv City State Administration, in Kyiv, anyone can take courses to prepare civilians for national resistance. Citizens can take military training and acquire a speciality for free. The format of the training is one-day, five-day or a special course. Classes are held at the National Resistance Training Centre of the Municipal Guard.

The second part of the elementary shelter is being constructed in Horobynka kindergarten in Bucha with the support of UNICEF. During an air alert, the premises will be able to accommodate more than 130 preschoolers.

Serhii Danish, Head of Kotsiubynske village, reported that the village in Kyiv oblast and the Czech city of Hejnice have become twinned towns. They are currently discussing areas of cooperation, including the restoration of destroyed housing and assistance to the Ukrainian military. 

A delegation from the British Embassy visited Irpin community. The delegation included Chris Allan, Head of the Directorate of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Stefan Kossoff, Head of Development Programmes at the British Embassy in Ukraine, and Abigail Kemp, Second Political Secretary at the British Embassy. The guests saw the destruction of the Irpin community during the full-scale invasion of russian troops.

Zhytomyr oblast

Zhytomyr is expanding its cooperation with local and international Red Cross organisations. Zhytomyr City Council signed a Memorandum with the city organisation of the Red Cross Society. Since March 2024, partners of the Italian Society have been working in the city, and on 20 March, representatives of the city organisation signed an agreement on additional measures of cooperation with the city community.

Zhytomyr Mayor Serhii Sukhomlyn informed that in the village of Veresy, donors from the Italian Red Cross have started assembling the first houses for IDPs. The announced number of 40 houses is to be increased to 56. The project should be completed by the end of the first half of 2024.

A memorial plaque to officer Volodymyr Savytskyi, who was killed in September 2022, will be installed on the facade of Zhytomyr Lyceum No. 6. This decision was made at a meeting of the Executive Committee of Zhytomyr City Council. There are also plans to set up “rooms of heroes” in Zhytomyr educational institutions. 

Sumy oblast

According to Sumy RMA, at night and in the morning of 20 March, the russian military fired 16 times at Sumy oblast. There were 65 explosions. Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda and Esman communities were shelled. 

It is reported that russians fired 30 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 90 attacks from various types of weapons. Khotin, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda, Svesa and Znob-Novhorodske communities were shelled.

Sumy RMA reported that on 19 March, a person was killed in Velyka Pysarivka community as a result of an air strike. The enemy carried out 15 MLRS attacks, 19 mortar attacks, 6 artillery attacks, 13 air strikes with UAVs and 6 with aircraft during the day. The strike destroyed a lyceum building, damaged an administrative building, a school and a kindergarten, 4 detached houses of local residents, a hospital and a shop.

Three people, who were injured when a russian Shahed drone hit a five-storey building in Sumy on 13 March, remain in hospital. Their condition is moderate. Nine families from the damaged building need temporary accommodation, and four more are in the process of deciding where to live.

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of the RMA, reported that in 2024, the situation with shelling in Sumy oblast significantly worsened. In 2023, more than 8,000 attacks were carried out on the territory of the oblast (including 2 missile attacks, 123 air strikes, 20 attacks by Shahed UAVs, and 45 FPV drones). And in January-March 2024 alone, there were 3,225 attacks (including 15 missile attacks, 234 air strikes, 25 Shahed UAV attacks, and 186 FPV drones).

Forced evacuation of children from Velyka Pysarivka and Seredyna-Buda communities is planned. The relevant documents have been submitted for a decision at the state level. 80 families with children remained in Velyka Pysarivka and do not plan to leave. In total, more than 200 people have left Velyka Pysarivka community over the past week. 

According to Lviv RMA, residents of Sumy oblast began to evacuate to Lviv oblast. In the week from 11 to 17 March, volunteers of the Medical and Psychological Assistance community met 243 people at the Main Railway Station in Lviv, mostly residents of Sumy and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. 

Chernihiv oblast

The State Border Guard Service reported that russian troops launched mortar attacks on the border of Chernihiv oblast. There were 11 attacks on the territory of Novhorod-Siverskyi and Semenivka communities.

Fortification works have been going on for several months in Chernihiv oblast border area. Defensive lines are being built, a system of engineering barriers is being created, and strongholds of the intermediate defence zone are being constructed. The military is working together with civilian construction workers and engineers.

According to Chernihiv police, a russian military hideout with an arsenal of weapons was discovered in a village in Koriukiv district: three assault rifles, fifteen grenade launchers, twenty-two grenades, and 230 rounds of ammunition for automatic small arms. The police seized all the found items and sent them for examination.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, reported that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 226 documents on cooperation between cities, communities and individual regions have been signed. Another document has recently been signed – a partnership agreement between Chernihiv District Military Administration and the administration of the district of Seegeberg in the Federal Republic of Germany. The focus is on the security environment and the medical sector. 

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

The occupiers shelled Synelnykove region. 5 people were wounded due to an enemy attack in one of the settlements. A family was wounded. Children aged 12 and 19 years old, a 57-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman – she is in a critical condition. Houses, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged. 

In Nikopol, a 27-year-old man was injured in hostile shelling. He was provided with medical aid. The enemy shelled the region 13 times during the day. They launched 9 kamikaze drones and about 2 dozen artillery shells. Nikopol, Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities were hit. In the region’s centre, a municipal and industrial enterprise, a shop, 11 private houses, 7 cars, a truck, a minibus, garages, outbuildings, a greenhouse, 3 power lines and a gas pipeline were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

Six defenders from Vinnytsia oblast were found killed: Roman Bashchenko, Volodymyr Bondar, Illia Chekmeniov, Oleksandr Mazur, Oleh Kutsyk and Vadym Saranchuk.

Roman Bashchenko was killed in Donetsk oblast on 22 June, 2023. The defender was a participant in combat operations in the ATO zone. Since June last year, the soldier was considered missing under special circumstances while performing a combat mission and now was identified by DNA test.

On 12 March, Volodymyr Bondar was killed. He was a senior gunner of a grenade launcher unit of a fire support platoon, a senior soldier.

On 15 March, Chekmeniov was killed in Donetsk oblast as a result of a mine explosion. The National Guard member was a senior sergeant. Illia was 25 years old and served as an instructor (combat training) of the 1st Operational Battalion of one of the military units.

On 16 March, Mazur Oleksandr was killed in action in Donetsk oblast.

On 17 March, Oleh Kutsyk was killed in Donetsk oblast during a combat mission. 

On 18 March, Vadym Saranchuk was killed in action in Luhansk olast. The defender was 26 years old.

Kirovohrad oblast

Kirovohrad oblast will pay tribute to soldiers Oleksandr Klikych and Oleksandr Smilianets.

Oleksandr Klikych was killed on 27 July, 2023, while performing a combat mission near Robotyne village, Polohy region, Zaporizhzhia oblast. He was 40 years old.

Oleksandr Smilianets was killed in action while serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Poltava oblast

Last year Poltava oblast allocated about UAH 2bn for territorial defence and support for IDPs. Philip Pronin, Head of the RMA, reported that the majority of the amount, more than UAH 1.6bn, was allocated for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including almost UAH 550m for the construction of shelters. More than UAH 250m was allocated to help people who hosted IDPs in the oblast.

Cherkasy oblast

In Cherkasy, the Deputy Commander of the 5th Kyiv Separate Assault Brigade, a combatant, Serhii Kasian, was awarded. The soldier received a valuable gift and gratitude from the mayor. On his behalf, the defender sent a chevron and a shell casing brought from Bakhmut.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Yesterday the enemy launched 350 strikes on 10 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. Also russian servicemen launched 3 airstrikes on Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne and Temyrivka; 3 artillery attacks targeted Novodanylivka and Mala Tokmachka; 36 UAVs attacked Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mali Tokmachka, Zaliznychne and Charivne. Additionally, 308 artillery strikes were inflicted on the territory of Huliaipole, Robotyne, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Charivne, Temyrivka and Novodarivka. There were 28 reports of damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.

On 19 March, a fire broke out in the city of Huliaipole, Polohy region, due to russian shelling. According to rescuers, the roof of an outbuilding was burning.

The General Staff reported that the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian forces near the settlements of Staramaiorske in Donetsk oblast and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia oblast 6 times. 

Free classes are conducted for civilians at the Pershyi shooting training centre in Zaporizhzhia. Instructors at the center have been working with the military since the start of the full-scale war, they decided to expand their training to civilians as well but since the summer of 2023. Overall, more than 400 civilians have attended shooting training classes. In the future, they plan to expand the course and teach interested individuals how to handle smoothbore and non-lethal firearms.

The Dnipro rapids and the shores of Khortytsia in Zaporizhzhia are almost flooded for the first time since the explosion of Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant by russian forces. The Dnipro River has filled up due to melted water accumulated in reservoirs upstream. Currently, it is already filling up the small rivers of Zaporizhzhia and floodplains on Khortytsia.

In Zaporizhzhia, 5-year-old Andrii and 6-year-old Myroslava are raising money for the needs of Ukrainian defenders. The young volunteers have already raised over UAH 60,000 by offering snacks in exchange for donations. All the money raised by the children is transferred to the soldiers fighting on the Zaporizhzhia front. The children’s mothers assist them in volunteering. Together, the women have prepared over two thousand sweets. In half a year of volunteering, Andrii and Myroslava have already donated for a drone, a pickup truck, thermal imagers and night vision devices.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to the military administration, it was noted that on 19 March at 10:04am, the russian army shelled the territory of Kutsurub community. Additionally, russians shelled the waters of Ochakiv community at 10:33am, 12:19pm and 3:33pm. There were no casualties or injuries reported.

On 19 March, the Lions Club Olofström charitable organisation from Sweden donated a special vehicle and protective gear for the needs of volunteer firefighters in Mykolaiv oblast. Volunteers will be able to extinguish fires until rescuers arrive with the help of this vehicle. This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service in Mykolaiv oblast.

The volume of assistance from international partners to Mykolaiv oblast. Since the beginning of the war, it has amounted to over €300m, with €75.5m coming from Denmark. As Vitalii Kim, Head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, explained, although the volume of assistance has decreased, international partners continue to provide support. It is planned to launch 20 to 40 projects with donor support this year, mostly infrastructure and business projects, in order to create jobs and generate taxes for the functioning of the oblast.

Odesa oblast

The South Operational Command said that the anti-aircraft missile troops of Odesa Brigade shot down two russian reconnaissance UAVs Supercam on the approach from the sea to the Odesa oblast. 

20 people were injured and remain hospitalised as a result of the russian missile strike on Odesa on 15 March. Two of them are in critical condition, and the condition of 12 others is assessed as serious by qualified medical personnel. Six more injured persons are receiving treatment in a moderate condition. Two patients from burn resuscitation and three from general resuscitation were transferred to specialised units to provide better medical care.

Military personnel defending Ukraine on Kyiv and Kherson fronts received another batch of aid from Odesa seafood producer “Aquatic World,” including food products and automotive tires.

A documentary exhibition titled “Ashes of Dreams” about artists, who are currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has been created in Odesa. Ukrinform citing the Liutyi independent documentary theatre reported that the premiere is scheduled for 23 March.

Kherson oblast

In the morning, russian forces attacked civilian vehicles on the road between the settlements of Sadove and Antonivka. According to preliminary information, two men were killed as a result of the shelling.

Kherson RMA said that during the day on 10  March, 2024, the russian military once again shelled downtown Kherson. As a result of the shelling, a 51-year-old woman was injured. She was diagnosed with a concussion, explosive and closed head injuries. Additionally, the russian army dropped an explosive device near two vehicles in Osokorivka of Novovorontsovka community. 

Yesterday the enemy shelled Beryslav, Shevchenkivka, Khreshchenivka, Antonivka, Stanislav, Shyrokа Balka, Osokorivka, Dniprovske, Mykhailivka, Kachkarivka, Burhunka, Respublikanets, Odradokamianka, Sadove, Kizomys, Prydniprovske, Shliakhove and the city of Kherson. Two multi-storey buildings, 8 private houses, an administrative building, a preschool educational institution, port infrastructure and a car were damaged. Тhe high-pressure gas network was also damaged. As a result of this accident, gas supply is temporarily suspended in the settlements of Zelenivka and Tekstylne. Additionally, the boiler house is without gas in Tavriiskyi district of Kherson. One person was killed and 5 others injured due to russian aggression.

Kherson RMA reported that 2 more people were injured as a result of yesterday’s shelling. An elderly man sustained blast injuries and forearm wounds from a drone attack in Chervonyi Maiak. A 75-year-old resident of Beryslav was taken to the hospital with blast injuries and concussion.

Сounter-battery combat continues in the operational zone of the Southern Defense Forces. The enemy attempted to storm the left bank of the Dnipro River once during the day but retreated after suffering losses.

The defense forces continue to inflict fire damage on enemy positions, firing positions, and rear areas. During the day, the enemy lost 140 occupiers, 1 tank, 12 cannons, 1 mortar, 10 units of armored vehicles, 1 communication antenna and 1 generator. An enemy supply buildup was destroyed.

Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office has initiated proceedings regarding the shooting by occupiers of three residents of the village of Kokhany in Kherson oblast. The basis for registering a criminal case was a media report that in March 2024, russian troops shot three locals in the temporarily occupied village of Kokhany. Currently, law enforcement officers are investigating all the circumstances.

Borozenka community received motor pumps, chainsaws, cans, garden tools, and heaters. This equipment was handed over to Invincibility Centers in settlements, fire protection services and the utility enterprise of the community.

Library in Velyka Oleksandrivka received books from Cherkasy as part of the Ukrainian Book for Ukrainian Kherson oblast campaign. The library’s resources have significantly diminished due to the war, but caring people help collect literature and replenish the region’s book arsenal.

Volunteers delivered antibiotics, pain relievers, bandaging and suture materials, antidiabetic drugs, and other medications to the medical facility in Velyka Oleksandrivka. This assistance was made possible thanks to the support of the international organization Direct Relief International.

Over 250 residents of Bilozerka, Inhulka and Kherson, whose homes were damaged, received necessary items thanks to UNHCR Ukraine – the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine. The cargo included warm blankets and mattresses, bedding, dish sets, solar-powered lamps, hygiene products, pillows and towels.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council reported that the community sent a DJI Matrice 30T quadcopter, a DJI MAVIC 3 Enterprise quadcopter and 2 DJI MAVIC 3 quadcopters to military unit A 4052 of the 2nd rifle bridge.

A Union of Hearts charity evening was held in Lutsk. Volyn Regional Association of Czechs Matice Volynska joined forces with creative teams of music schools in Lutsk and puppet theatre actors to raise almost UAH 15,000 funds for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Lasl Legel, Head of the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Service in Ukraine Magyar Ökumenikus Segélyszervezt. Several projects that can be implemented in Zakarpattia for children from the frontline oblasts were discussed.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

A centre, where professions will be taught for the reconstruction of the country, will operate in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has identified the first 72 such education centres.

An annotation board to Yurii Diakun, fallen defender of Ukraine, was opened on the wall of the house where the soldier lived in Ivano-Frankivsk.

Lviv oblast

Servicemen of the 45th Separate Artillery Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received state awards personally from Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine. Senior Lieutenant Vladyslav Roik and Lieutenant Mykhailo Muraviov received the III degree Order of Courage. Master Sergeant Ihor Vozny received the Order of Danylo Halytskyi.

Lviv City Council held a meeting with Christopher Allan, Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department of the British Foreign Ministry. Possibilities of cooperation in various directions were discussed.

Over the last week, volunteers of the Medical and Psychological Assistance Volunteer Community ️ met 243 people at the Main Railway Station of Lviv. Mostly people come from Sumy and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. Since the beginning of the year, Lviv oblast has received 2,248 evacuees from various oblasts. These are only those who arrived by train. Some people get to the oblast by bus or private transport.

Novoiavorivsk hospital named after Yurii Lypa became the 4th cluster hospital in Lviv oblast, where an inpatient rehabilitation department has been put into operation. The repair was financed from the local budget. It is about UAH 6.8m.

The 1st exhibition in Ukraine Here was My Home was opened in Lviv, which presents the largest collection of panoramic war photos of the 360war.in.ua project. The purpose of the event is to demonstrate the consequences of war, the scale of destruction and human suffering through the use of virtual reality technologies.

Rivne oblast

The Center for Mental Health started working in a multidisciplinary hospital in Hosh thanks to the Mental Health for Ukraine Ukrainian-Swiss project. Planned and emergency outpatient care will be provided there to persons with mental and behavioural disorders, as well as to those who are in a state of distress as a result of experiencing traumatic events. In addition, specialists will work on preserving and restoring the patient’s physical and mental health.

The implementation of the modern Ukrainian TREK system in public transport in Varasha is nearing completion. The launch of the integrated e-ticket took place thanks to the Revival Foundation and the GIS company (the US).

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that the community sent 30 FPV drones in a set (unmanned aviation complex Molfar v5.8) and one weather station Kestrel 5500 Weather Meter TAN to the military.

The Lubart battalion of the 12th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine Azov received 200 sleeping bags and field stoves. Specifically, sleeping bags were brought by representatives of the SpectrumHelp CF, and stoves were brought by volunteers from the Swedish Help Centre.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has identified the first 72 vocational schools, which will teach professions for the reconstruction of the country. Training and practical centres will be created on the basis of three vocational and technical education institutions of Ternopil oblast.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Another rotation of the IAEA monitoring mission took place at Khmelnytskyi NPP. Experts will work for three weeks, monitoring nuclear and radiation safety and security. The mission consists of international experts who have high qualifications and experience in the field of nuclear energy. Experts conduct regular tours, analyse data on increasing the level of security during martial law.

Chernivtsi oblast

Chernivtsi RMA held a meeting with representatives of international and national organisations and charitable foundations, whose activities are aimed at providing mental health services. Tasks of this year’s plan of activities on mental health and psychosocial support of the civilian population in Chernivtsi oblast were presented.

Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for foreign policy and security policy, announced that the EU allocated the first €4.5bn to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic reported that the country sent over 300,000 shells to Kyiv.

The government of South Korea, the Direct Relief organisation, the Government Agency of Strategic Reserves of Poland and the Republic of Cuba sent new medical aid to Ukraine. The Ministry of Health informs that last week Ukraine received 40 ambulances, 33 pallets of medical furniture and 65 pallets of medicines.

Boris Pistorius, German Defense Minister, announced a new €500m military aid package, including 10,000 artillery shells from Bundeswehr warehouses, 100 armoured infantry vehicles and 100 transport vehicles, for Ukraine.

Kosovo announced a package of military aid to Ukraine. Eyup Macedonsi, Defense Minister, said that mortar shells, trucks and armoured vehicles will be sent to Ukraine next week, but he did not specify the number. This is the 1st military aid to Ukraine from Kosovo since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India. They discussed the development of bilateral relations, one of the elements of which should be a meeting of teams and a meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in Delhi in the near future.

Vitalii Koval, Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine, met with Kim Hyung Tae, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine, and John Jaehong, Senior Adviser of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine. Specifically, they discussed military guarantees for investors.

Oleksandr Merezhko, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy, member of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE, announced that 23 heads of foreign affairs committees of European parliaments, the US, Canada and Israel, adopted a statement on the illegitimacy of the russian “elections”.
