It has been the 755th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On 19 March, there were 67x tactical engagements.

The enemy launched a total of 3x missile and 62x air strikes, 64x MLRS attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, the russian terrorist attacks have killed and wounded civilians. Residential apartment blocks and private houses got destroyed and damaged.

Volyn and Polissya axes: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group.

Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes: the adversary maintains its military presence in the russian areas bordering Ukraine. The enemy troops conduct subversion in order to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened axes. The enemy continues shelling of Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the concentration of mining operations along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Lukashivka, Bilopillya (Sumy oblast), Kozacha Lopan, Izbytske (Kharkiv oblast). More than 20x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Klyusy, Prohres, Hrem’yach (Chernihiv oblast), Manukhivka, Myropillya, Ponomarenky (Sumy oblast), Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky, Ambarne (Kharkiv oblast).

Kupiansk axis: the adversary conducted 3x unsuccessful assaults on positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the vicinity of Syn’kivka (Kharkiv oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10x settlements, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Lyman axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 8x assaults in the vicinity of Terny (Donetsk oblast) and Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), where the enemy made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Rozdolivka, Vesele (Donetsk oblast) and Serebrianske forestry. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 15x settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Verkhnokianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast).

Bakhmut axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 6x attacks in the vicinities of Predtechyne, Klishchiivka, Bila Hora (Donetsk oblast). The enemy launched an air strike in the vicinity of Kostyantynivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Mykolaivka, Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, New York (Donetsk oblast).

Avdiivka axis: the Ukrainian defenders repelled 11x attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonen’ke, Pervomais’ke, Nevel’s’ke (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Ocheretyne and Tonen’ke (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Prohres, Vovche, Zhelanne, Myrnohrad, Novohrodivka, Umans’ke (Donetsk oblast).

Novopavlivka axis: the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to block the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Vodyane, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders, using air attacks, made 18x attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Kostyantynivka, Pobjeda and Novomykhailivka. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 20x settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Berestky, Antonivka, Katerynivka, Blahodatne (Donetsk oblast).

Orikhiv axis: the enemy, with air support, conducted 4x attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). Around 15x settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Huliaipilske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

Kherson axis: the enemy conducted 1x assault on positions of Ukrainian defenders on the left bank of the Dnipro. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinity of Antonivka (Kherson oblast). More than 10x settlements, including L’vove, Tyahynka, Ivanivka, Novotyahynka, Tokarivka (Kherson oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

On 19 March, the Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 6x concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers.

The Ukrainian Missile Forces hit 2x ammunition depots, 1x electronic warfare system of the russian invaders.

The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian intelligence has released details of new large-scale cyberattacks on russia by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and activists of the VO Team group. Not only state-owned but also private structures, that pay taxes and finance the war against Ukraine, were targeted. Specifically, during the week of 11-18 March, 2024, the following were attacked: the resources of rostelecom, the electronic document management system of belgorod region: fake mailings were sent to 12,000 local officials, communication equipment of belznak LLC, the 1Gb.ru hosting provider and the tens of thousands of websites it served, and more than 40 Mikrotik network devices in the electric transport control centre in novosibirsk. The damage caused to the enemy can be estimated at hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Ukraine is planning to increase the number of border guards by 15,000. This is stated in a law that the Cabinet of Ministers has submitted to parliament. The State Border Guard Service needs to increase its reserves so that border guards can take control of the border on their own after the war and respond properly to threats. This should happen within one year from the date of termination or cancellation of martial law in Ukraine.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Oleksandr Yesin, Head of Nova Vodolaha community, reported that around 4:30pm, the russian military shelled Mokra Rokytna village. According to him, the property of an agricultural enterprise, including solar panels, was damaged. There were no casualties as a result of the shelling.

The press service of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration said that a tractor of a local agricultural company tripped over a mine in Barvinkove community between Fedorivka and Nadezhdivka villages during field work. Oleksandr Balo, Head of Barvinkove community, stated that this field was not examined by sappers. Yevhen Vasylenko, Spokesman of the Regional Rescue Department, added that police and rescuers carried the injured mechanic from the tractor to an ambulance for about 3 km.

Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of Derhachi City Military Administration, reported that russian troops attacked Kozacha Lopana, Kharkiv region, by 2 air bombs at around 9am. According to him, several private houses, civilian infrastructure and power lines were damaged.

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv Village Military Administration, informed that Odnorobivka was shelled twice overnight. At about 1:30am, russians attacked by Grad rockets and at about 2am by mortars. The strikes damaged the already destroyed houses and the power grid. Last week, the last four residents were evacuated from the village. Before the invasion, Odnorobivka was home to 136 people.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv RMA, said that yesterday about 20 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks: Huriv Kozachok, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Budarky, Ambarne and others.

At 11:20pm, Malynivka, Chuhuiv region, was shelled by S-300 rockets, hitting the territory of the enterprise. The gate, windows and doors of the building were damaged. There were no casualties.

At 9:20pm, the enemy shelled Novosynove village, Kupiansk region, by an MRLS, damaging a private household. There were no casualties.

At 8:20pm, a private house was damaged in Vovchansk as a result of an attack from an MRLs There were no casualties.

At 12:45pm, the enemy shelled Lukiantsi village, Kharkiv region, by artillery, destroying a private house. There were no casualties.

At 8am, a boiler house, two private houses and a cultural centre were damaged as a result of hostile shelling from an MRLs in Novoosynove village, Kupiansk region. A 62-year-old man was injured but not hospitalised.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy made three unsuccessful attacks near Synkivka yesterday.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 46.61 hectares of mines and destroyed 338 explosive ordnance.

8 children with their families were evacuated. To date, 144 children have been evacuated from two communities: 36 from Vilkhuvatka and 108 from Velykyi Burluk.

Power engineers have repaired the 110 kV power line that supplies Vovchansk and nearby villages after russian strikes on the evening of 17 March. According to the power company, almost 11,000 consumers were without electricity.

The 95-year-old Anna Perepelytsia sends her handmade pillows and pancakes to the soldiers towards Kupiansk. This is the second time she has been caught up in the war: as a child, she helped sow bread for soldiers.

In Kharkiv, it is possible to learn to be a builder for free as the Dobrobat volunteer organisation runs courses for those interested. Manager Pavlo Filipenko explains that they train builders because there is a shortage of specialists in Kharkiv since some of them have joined the army, others have left.

Donetsk oblast

Oleksandr Honcharenko, Head of Kramatorsk City Military Administration, informed about the morning attack. The hit was outside the residential area. There were no casualties.

Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office said that three women aged 64, 65 and 82, and a 58-year-old man were injured in Selydove during a night attack by a S-300 anti-aircraft missile system. All of them were in their homes. The injured with mine-blast traumas, bruises, concussions and rib fractures were provided with emergency medical assistance. 24 houses and 4 civilian cars were damaged.

The General Staff reported that Ukrainian soldiers repelled 45 russian attacks towards Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka yesterday. Most of the attacks were towards Novopavlivka.

Yesterday the enemy shelled the oblast 1,600 times, 8 of them targeted residential areas. 5 settlements were attacked: Ocheretyne, Maksymivka, Mykolaivka, Novobakhmutivka and Umanske villages. 16 civilian objects were damaged, including 13 residential buildings, a club building, a trade kiosk and a power line.

Also russia attacked Ocheretyne with aircraft and artillery, destroying a private and an apartment building. One person was killed and another injured.

The invaders dropped a KAB-250 on Mykolaivka of Novohrodivka community, damaging two private houses.

In addition, at around 2:30am, russian troops launched two rockets at Selydove. Four residents aged 58 to 82 were injured, 24 private houses and 4 civilian cars damaged.

Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported that about 64,000 people remain along the frontline in Donetsk oblast.

Soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade eliminated 226 russian servicemen and injured 391 towards Avdiivka over the past week. They also destroyed 5 tanks and vehicles, 4 armoured personnel carriers, 2 mortars and artillery systems, and damaged more than 10 pieces of equipment.

Olena Rybakova, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Development and Land Relations of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, stated that farmers in Donetsk oblast can take advantage of a number of government programmes, including greenhouse development, gardening, processing plants, etc. In addition, the government has approved a procedure for compensating farmers for humanitarian demining of agricultural land.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, the liberated settlements are constantly under russian attack. There is a lot of destruction there. Some are recorded immediately after the shelling, some – later. There are damages to houses in remote areas or in villages where everyone was evacuated long ago. The day before, the enemy shelled Nevske, Makiivka and Novoliubivka with artillery. The invaders tried to conduct assault operations near Terny, south of Nevske.

The invaders did everything to achieve the maximum turnout. For instance, in Lutuhyne, where voting was held in the last three days, the largest polling station in the town had three almost empty ballot boxes in the afternoon, although according to the protocols, almost everyone had voted. One of the mobile polling stations in Sievierodonetsk, which was looking for people to join the voting on the streets of the city, was accompanied by five russian military personnel at once. They did not even ask passers-by for their IDs but just recorded the names of voters from what they said.

In Sievierodonetsk, people voted throughout the week in yards and in cars that replaced polling stations, in total, almost 1.5m voters allegedly cast their votes in the occupied Luhansk oblast but there are simply no such numbers of locals there. In Sievierodonetsk region, about half of the people, who are currently there, are not locals. Many cases of voting outside the place of registration have been recorded, this right was mainly used by russian tourists.

Border guards of Luhansk detachment together with the Defence Forces actively inflicted losses to the invaders. Among the equipment destroyed last week: BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, Strela-10 surface-to-air missile system, D-30 122-mm howitzer. The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 385 enemy concentration points, eliminated 23 invaders and injured 67. Three enemy control points, an ammunition depot, two air defence systems, a mortar, a self-propelled artillery unit and another cannon were also destroyed.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

On 16 March, the first free course for civilians started at Kyiv Regional Center for Training the Population for National Resistance. It will last 7 weeks on weekends. The number of participants is about 100 people. The training program includes 16 areas, including tactical and fire training, tactical medicine, work with UAVs, survival and countering enemy informational and psychological operations.

Regular training regarding a possible emergency situation in educational institutions was held in Kyiv. As reported by the Municipal Guard communal organisation, during the training, actions in case of fire, evacuation of students, provision of first aid to victims, practical exercises on dressing wounds, stopping bleeding were practised.

The patrol police of Kyiv oblast reported that 17 inspectors of the police of Kyiv and the oblast passed the Basic skills of school police officers course. They received appropriate certificates and are ready for new tasks in maintaining law and order and security in educational institutions. 

Commemorative events are being organised for the second anniversary of the liberation of the hero city of Irpin. According to the Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn, they will last two days – a memorial service for the fallen Heroes at the city cemetery, celebrations on the central square and the presentation of the Book of Memory of the Irpin community, the opening of the Freedom monument.

The Mayor of Kyiv Vitalii Klychko reported that fighters of the 5th separate assault brigade of Kyiv received from the capital the For the Сontribution to the Вefence of Kyiv orders and the Honor. Glory. State medals. Three soldiers were awarded posthumously.

A new procedure for installing memorial plaques was developed in Kyiv. In the new order, a simplified procedure for placing memorial tables for fallen soldiers was introduced. They also established clear requirements for the artistic design, placement, maintenance and accounting of boards.

During his visit to Washington, Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk signed a cooperation agreement. It is about the construction of a modular hospital in Vorzel region of Kyiv oblast. It is noted that these are specific legal obligations of three parties – AMC Healthcare, Ukraine Focus and Bucha City Council. The American side manufactures, delivers and installs the building, the Ukrainian side arranges the site, prepares the foundation and installs communications.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, said that the oblast and the state of Washington will create an online platform to expand economic cooperation between the regions. Regional and state producers will be able to use it to publish data about their products and expand their turnover.

Zhytomyr oblast

The Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories reported that Zhytomyr oblast will no longer accept evacuation trains from Donetsk oblast. From 23 March, displaced people will be evacuated to Rivne and Volyn oblasts. Since 18 April, 2023, Zhytomyr oblast has received more than a thousand evacuated residents from eastern Ukraine. 149 of them are disabled and 279 are children.

Vitalii Bunechko, Head of Zhytomyr RMA, announced the transfer of regular aid to units of the defence forces. FPV drones, quadcopters, a charging station with a solar panel and a generator are already on their way to the Ukrainian military.

Since the beginning of 2024, 26 territorial communities of Zhytomyr oblast have joined the Army of Restoration reconstruction project. During this period, the regional employment service issued 423 referrals for the participation of temporarily unemployed Ukrainians in socially useful work.

Sumy oblast

The Mayor of Bilopillia Yurii Zarko said in the afternoon that the russian army struck the critical infrastructure of the city. As a result of the russian attack in the city, private houses of locals, power lines were damaged, and electricity and water supply partially missing.

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that at night and in the morning, russians shelled border areas of Sumy oblast 5 times. 11 explosions were recorded – mortar fire and 2 KAB airstrikes. The communities of Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda and Esman were under enemy shelling.

During the past day, 18 March, the russian military carried out 50 shellings of Sumy oblast – a total of 214 explosions were recorded. 11 communities of the oblast were shelled. The enemy struck with kamikaze drones of the FPV type on the territory of Seredyna-Buda community, two missile strikes on the civilian infrastructure of Konotop community, and a missile attack on Mykolaivka community. In addition, russians used mortars, artillery, tanks and SPG to shell border communities.

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy RMA, said that enemy air and missile attacks on the oblast’s infrastructure have increased significantly. According to him, up to five populated border settlements suffer the most from shelling. From 3 to 10 people remained in each of them, who are currently being evacuated by the Armed Forces. In total, local residents completely left 22 settlements of the oblast.

The State Ecoinspection of the oblast reported that they calculated the damage caused by soil pollution as a result of the Shahed attack on Sumy on 6 March, 2024. The amount was almost UAH 27m. The destruction and damage of buildings caused the land to be littered with a total area of about 1,400m² on the territory of the city’s hospitals and near residential buildings.

In view of the security situation, kindergartens and after-school centres in Sumy will work remotely from 18 to 24 March. Such a decision was made by the Commission on Technological and Environmental Safety and Emergency Situations of the City Community.

Sumy RMA reported that recently, a hostile cyber-attack took place on the Facebook page of the RMA, the account and Facebook page of one of the heads of the community was hacked. Shortly before that, missile and air strikes were also carried out on radio engineering facilities in Sumy oblast.

Chernihiv oblast

Chernihiv border detachment reported that on  18 March, russian troops shelled the village of Kliusy of Snovsk community. Five mortar hits were recorded.

Mykhailo Iliev, Head of pyrotechnic works of the State Emergency Service in Chernihiv oblast, announced that during the two years of the full-scale invasion, the number of sappers in Chernihiv oblast increased fourfold. Pyrotechnicians surveyed more than 6,000 sq km of the territory of the oblast. Mechanised machines are also used to speed up the demining process.

The ZOA international humanitarian organisation from the Netherlands helped buy housing for five families with many children from Chernihiv oblast who became forced migrants. In total, 25 children are raised in these families. In addition to the house, the families received assistance for replacing windows, cash assistance for firewood, and multi-purpose cash assistance.

Chernihiv RMA reported that Ivanovo community received a modern garbage truck from UNDP Ukraine/UNDP in Ukraine with funding from the Government of Japan. This technique is provided for the purpose of supporting de-occupied communities, as well as quality waste management. In total, 15 such trucks arrived as part of the initiative, which is supported by the Government of Japan and the EU.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening the occupiers fired artillery twice at Nikopol region. They hit Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. There were no casualties. 

There were 10 attacks on Nikopol region during the day. The occupiers launched 9 kamikaze drones and fired from artillery targeting Nikopol, Pokrovsk and Marhanets communities. Private houses and outbuildings were damaged, one of them completely destroyed and an excavator hit. There were no casualties.

Vinnytsia oblast

According to the RMA, the crash sites of 4 enemy drones were discovered in Vinnytsia oblast. One of the drones was found in the woods, undetonated. The wreckage of 3 Shaheds which scattered within 200m of the crash site were found in the fields.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kirovohrad oblast, 2642 children have the war-affected status. Svitlana Zhyvaha, Deputy Head of the Regional Service for Children, claimed that all of them suffered from psychological violence in Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.

Poltava oblast

Over the past 2 years, the prosthetic and orthopaedic enterprise in Poltava has manufactured about 1,500 prostheses. 60% of them are for soldiers who lost their limbs in combat. The facility teaches people how to use prostheses and has a hospital and gyms for this purpose. According to the state program prosthetics are free of charge. To get one, you need a conclusion from a military medical commission and a referral from social security authorities. Currently, Poltava Prosthetic and Orthopaedic Enterprise serves patients from Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts.

Cherkasy oblast

There were only 44 shelters on the balance sheet of educational institutions of Cherkasy oblast. As of today 99% of schools and 96.2% of kindergartens have the opportunity to use the shelters. Both own and nearby buildings. Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, reported that over the past month 2 shelters have appeared: in a school of regional subordination and in a kindergarten of Chornobaivka community.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on 18 March, the russian military carried out 348 strikes across 14 cities and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. They launched 2 missile strikes on Pryvilne, and 3 aviation strikes on Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne. Also, they used MRLS, drones and artillery in other settlements.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 18 March the Defence Forces repelled 9 russian attacks on Orikhiv region.

Mykolaiv oblast

According to Mykolaiv RMA, on 18 March, at 9:07am, and on 19 March, at 12:02am and 2:05am, there were enemy artillery attacks on settlements and water area of Kutsurub community. Also, on 18 March, at 11:15am and 1:45pm, the russians shelled the water area of Ochakiv community. There were no casualties among the civilian population.

Deputy Mayor Vitalii Lukov said that as a result of the shelling of Mykolaiv on 17 March, over 50 buildings were damaged. In Mykolaiv, from 18 to 19 March, municipal enterprise staff such as Mykolaivelektrotrans, ELU Avtodorih, Parks, Pilot and others are working at the site hit by rockets. The municipal workers will continue their work for several more days. They are repairing the broken windows and roofs of damaged buildings. A special commission from the City Council is inspecting the premises and compiling a list of damaged property.

Odesa oblast

On 19 March, the Ukrainian Naval Forces reported that during the night of 18-19 March, 2 enemy reconnaissance drones were shot down in Odesa oblast.

Volunteers from the charitable foundation Adjalyk delivered 6 robust power banks to Donetsk oblast. The Armed Forces of Ukraine expressed gratitude to all who contributed to fundraising for the military’s needs.

At the behest of Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa RMA, the healthcare sector in Odesa oblast received vital humanitarian aid from the Ukrainian Community in the Netherlands association. This aid, including medical equipment such as wheelchairs, medical beds, mattresses, medical cabinets, food carts, among other essentials, has been promptly distributed among 3 regional healthcare facilities.

Kherson oblast

Around 11am on the road in Novovorontsovka community in Kherson oblast, the russian military dropped an explosive from a drone onto a car. 2 people were injured and hospitalised.

3 people came under russian attack on the road between Antonivka and Sadove – all three sustained minor injuries.

As a result of the morning shelling of Kherson’s suburbs, a man was injured and hospitalised with a concussion.

Near Molodecke village in Kherson oblast, a shepherd was blown up on a russian explosive, killing him.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, said that on 18 March the russian military attacked 9 settlements. 2 high-rise buildings, an elevator, and a car were damaged, and 3 people killed.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

The RMA held a working meeting with Major General Serhii Litvinov, commander of the operational-tactical group. They discussed further joint work on strengthening the defence capability of the oblast. The construction of fortifications in Volyn continues, so key tasks for clear and coordinated work between the military and the RMA have been outlined.

Zakarpattia oblast

Vynohradiv Regional Hospital received a new magnetic resonance imaging machine thanks to the EU within the framework of the cross-border cooperation program Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 and with co-financing from the regional budget.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

Students of Ivano-Frankivsk community raised medicine, personal hygiene products and food for the defenders. They brought it all to the Logistics Center.

Lviv oblast

Lviv City Council reported that the community sent unmanned complexes worth UAH 15.9m thanks to the budget funds as part of the Lion’s Revenge initiative.

The RMA reported that 234 people arrived in Lviv oblast by evacuation trains, among them 63 people with disabilities and 18 elderly people.

Maksym Kozytskyi, Head of the RMA, met with Alfred Praus, President of the Ukrainian-Austrian Association. The Association wants to create a number of small hydroelectric power plants in Lviv oblast.

Memorial plaques were installed in Velyki Mosty community in memory of the fallen servicemen Volodymyr Koliada and Taras Stelmashek, from the village of Reklynets, in Chervonohrad region. For his dedication, Volodymyr was awarded the III degree Order of Courage by the President of Ukraine. Volodymyr Koliada (call sign Zhyvchyk) was killed on 9 November, 2022 while performing official duties near Terna, Donetsk oblast. Taras Stelmashek defended Ukraine as part of the 24th Separate Mechanised brigade named after King Danylo (military unit A0998) in the eastern direction. He was killed on 23 April, 2022.

Families of fallen heroes from Lviv oblast visited the historical and cultural reserves Tustan and Nahuievychi thanks to the Department of Culture, Nationalities and Religions together with Father Roman Kavchak.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting of the Coordinating Center for Civilian Population Support. They discussed the algorithm of transfer of vacant dormitories to the communal ownership of communities of Rivne oblast, in order to provide temporary housing for IDPs there. A special train from Donetsk oblast will arrive in Rivne oblast this week. Communities of Rivne region will be the first to receive the evacuated population from the East. In the future, Dubensk region should be ready for meeting people.

Communities of Rivne oblast continue to buy drones for the Armed Forces. Funds were raised for drones to defenders at a charity fair in Simoniv and Maliatyn lyceums, Hoshchan region. Loknytsk community also donated money for drones. The youth of Volodymyrets organised a charity motorcycle race to raise funds for craftsmen to manufacture drones.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that the community sent 6 unmanned aerial systems and a weather station to defenders on the front line.

Ternopil City Council reported that 280 defenders from Ternopil will receive UAH 10,000 each for equipment. Since the beginning of the year, 1,270 servicemen have already received such assistance from the budget of Ternopil community.

Volodymyr Vazhynskyi, Acting Head of the RMA, met with Alfred Praus, President of the Ukrainian-Austrian Association. They discussed prospects of projects in the hydropower sector, the implementation of which will involve Austrian technologies and funds.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that the community sent 21 DJI Mavic 3T Thermal quadcopters with a thermal imager worth almost UAH 4m thanks to budget money. Since the beginning of the year, the community has sent 140 DJI Mavic 3T, DJI Matrice 30T and Autel EVO Max 4T quadcopters and 1160 FPV drones of various modifications to the military.

Chernivtsi oblast

In the RMA, Dmytro Levytskyi, soldier from Bukovyna, was awarded the Grateful Bukovyna award. Due to severe injuries received at the front, the man was discharged from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and is currently undergoing treatment and rehabilitation.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The 20th meeting in the Rammstein format took place in Germany. The Ukrainian delegation was headed by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umierov.

The EU will provide Ukraine with another €5bn in military support. The EU Council established a special Fund to help Ukraine within the framework of the European Peace Fund. Thanks to this, the EU will continue to provide defence assistance to Ukraine, including lethal and non-lethal weapons and military training.

The EU has prepared legislation that will allow Ukraine to receive profits from russian missiles already in July. The proposal, to be discussed by EU leaders when they meet in Brussels at the end of the week, involves the application of a tax on windfall profits obtained from the immobilised reserves of the russian Central Bank, with the aim of using about €3bn a year to finance the supply of arms to Ukraine and the development of its defence industry.

Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh, Minister of National Defense of Poland, announced that Poland and Germany will launch the Coalition of Armored Vehicles for Ukraine on 26 March.

Belgium is preparing a military aid package for Ukraine worth €412m, including 300 multi-purpose LMV armoured vehicles and 3 minesweepers. Belgium will provide basic training and the Netherlands will provide on-the-job training for Ukrainian minesweeper crews. Belgium also promised to provide military aid to Ukraine in the total amount of €611m during 2024.

Klaus Iohannis, Romanian President, approved the training of Ukrainian pilots on the F-16 at a military base in the country. In addition to training about 50 Ukrainians on F-16 aircraft, he agreed to the transportation of some weapons for Ukraine through the territory of his state.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Charles Michel, President of the European Council. They discussed further steps on the way to the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU and further comprehensive support of Ukraine from the European Union.

Lindsey Graham, American Republican Senator, arrived in the capital of Ukraine. He said that Mike Johnson, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, is now looking for a way to advance aid to Ukraine. The senator also met with Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister, to discuss US assistance in implementing reforms. And during the meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, they discussed the provision of air defence systems and missiles to Ukraine.
