On November 17, there were 81 combat engagements.
The enemy shelled the border settlements of Malushyne, Stara Huta, Bobylivka in the Sumy oblast, as well as Khrinivka, Kliusy in the Chernihiv oblast with artillery and mortars.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, there were seven combat engagements. In addition, the enemy launched three airstrikes, dropping eight guided bombs and carried out 61 shelling attacks.
Towards Southern Sloboda, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy assaults near Vovchansk and towards Dvorichanske. Two more combat engagements are currently ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy made three attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Pishchane and Stepova Novoselivka. Two combat engagements are currently ongoing.
Towards Lyman, russian troops carried out six assaults near Novyi Myr, Drobysheve and Zarichne. Three combat engagements are currently ongoing.
Towards Sloviansk, The Defence Forces repelled nine enemy assaults near Dronivka, Siversk, Serebrianka and Fedorivka.
Towards Kramatorsk, russian troops carried out two assaults in the areas of Stupochky and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
Towards Kostiantynivka,russian troops carried out 15 assaults near Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, as well as towards Kostiantynivka and Sofiivka.
Towards Pokrovsk,the enemy made 18 attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions near the settlements of Maiak, Fedorivka, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske and Dachne. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 15 attacks. Fighting continues in three locations.
Ukrainian units are conducting search and attack operations in several areas, destroying the enemy.
Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy attempted to break through the positions of Ukrainian troops near the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Vorone, Sosnivka, Berezove and Pershotravneve. The Defence Forces repelled seven enemy assaults.
Towards Huliaipole, Ukrainian units repelled five attacks in the area of Solodke, Rivnopillia and Zelenyi Hai. In addition, the enemy carried out airstrikes on settlements, including Vozdvyzhivka y Bilohiria.
No offensive actions by the enemy were recorded towards Orikhiv.
Towards Kherson,the enemy made two unsuccessful attempts to advance on Ukrainian positions.
The government has approved a ‘winter support’ program for vulnerable groups, who will receive UAN 6,500. The program is designed for people who need the most support: orphans, children in care, children with disabilities in foster families, internally displaced children, internally displaced people with disabilities, and lonely pensioners. Funds will be credited automatically through the Pension Fund. The program is scheduled to launch in early December. The funds can be spent on medicine, clothing, and footwear. It will cover more than 660,000 people. This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The UN has confirmed regular and targeted attacks by the russian army on Ukraine’s civilian population. According to the findings of an independent UN commission, russian strikes on frontline areas have resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, widespread destruction, and forced thousands of people to flee. The commission’s report states that russian forces are deliberately targeting civilians with drones on the right bank of the Dnipro in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions. The commission also identified specific perpetrators of the attacks — UAV units, their associated military formations, and commanders. According to the report, all of them belong to the ‘Dnipro’ group of forces of the russian federation.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
At 4pm, towards South Slobozhanske, the Defence Forces repelled four russian attacks near Vovchansk and in the direction of Dvorichanske. Two battles are ongoing.
Towards Kupiansk, russian occupiers attempted three times to break through defences in the areas of Pishchane and Stepova Novoselivka. Two battles are also ongoing in this direction.
Towards Lyman, russia attacked, in particular, towards Novyi Myr.
Over the past day, 216 combat clashes were recorded.
Towards South Slobozhanske, six combat clashes took place yesterday near Vovchansk and in the directions of Dvorichanske and Obukhivka.
Towards Kupiansk, there were eight attacks by the occupiers over the past day. The defence forces repelled the enemy’s assault in the areas of the settlements of Pishchane, Kupiansk, and Holubivka.
Over the past week, there were 1,442 combat clashes on the front line.
Attacks
According to community head Serhii Zelenskyi, four explosions were recorded in the Lozova community within two hours as a result of probable Shahid strikes on critical infrastructure. Multi-storey buildings have been damaged, and details are still being clarified. A significant part of the population has been left without electricity and heating, with some districts now in their third day without power.
The enemy fired on Balakliia, preliminarily with two Iskander missiles, at 2 and 2:30am. Three men are known to have been killed. Another 15 people were injured, including four children. At least 13 apartment buildings were damaged, three of them significantly. Twelve private houses and a kindergarten were also destroyed. In total, about 1,000 windows were broken.
Amil Omarov, Head of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office, reported that five people in Balakliia suffered injuries and acute stress reactions, including three girls aged 14, 15 and 17, as well as a 12-year-old boy, according to the regional prosecutor’s office. Russia struck the city with two Iskander-M missiles. The exact modification is currently being determined.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, stated that in the night of the strike on Balakliia, 12 people were placed in temporary accommodation. Currently, one woman remains in the dormitory, while the others have found their own accommodation. Electricity and heat supply have been restored in the city.
Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 10 settlements in the Kharkiv region were hit by enemy strikes. As a result of the shelling, 16 people were injured, including 5 children. Four people were killed.
The State Emergency Service reported that one man was killed and another injured, according to preliminary data, as a result of drone strikes on the residential sector of Velykyi Burluk late in the evening on 16 November. The strikes caused fires in two private residential buildings and several farm buildings. The total area of the fires was over 400 sq m.

In Balakliia, two 70-year-old and 57-year-old men were killed, three 34-year-old, 61-year-old, 36-year-old and 37-year-old men, a 70-year-old woman and girls aged 12, 14, 15 and 17 were injured. A 14-year-old girl was injured in the city of Izium; a 38-year-old man was injured in the village of Liutivka, Zolochiv community; a 31-year-old woman was injured in the village of Paniutyne, Lozova community; a 52-year-old woman was injured in the village of Starovirivka, Shevchenkivska community; a 70-year-old man was killed in the village of Velykyi Burluk; a 55-year-old man was injured in the village of Buryakivka, Velykoburlutska community.
The enemy attacked two UAVs in Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv.
The enemy actively used various types of weapons in Kharkiv oblast:

▪️in Bohodukhiv region, a private house (Kadnytsia village), a private house, 2 farm buildings, and a car (Lutivka village) were damaged;
▪️in Kupiansk region, 2 private houses, farm buildings, railway infrastructure ( Starovirovka village), a private house, farm buildings (Hrushivka village), 13 private households, farm buildings (Velykyi Burluk village) were damaged;
▪️in Izium region, power lines (Izium town), 7 apartment buildings, and 10 cars (Balakliya town) were damaged.
▪️in Kharkiv region, a private house (Slatyne village) was damaged.
▪️in Lozova region, railway infrastructure was damaged (Lymanivka);
▪️in Chuhuiv region, a private house was damaged (Shevchenkove Pershe).
Over the past week, at least 40 settlements in Kharkiv region, including the city of Kharkiv, have been hit by enemy strikes.
As a result of the shelling, 27 people were injured, including five children: two 14-year-old girls, as well as girls aged 12, 15 and 17.
Eleven people were killed, including a 16-year-old boy.

The civilian infrastructure of Izyumi region suffered the most damage, with 13 apartment buildings and 13 private houses, a kindergarten, railway infrastructure, power lines, a shop, 10 cars, and a motor-block damaged.
Significant damage was caused in Kupiansk region: 27 private houses, 7 farm buildings, railway infrastructure, a garage, and 2 cars.
In Kharkiv, the enemy damaged 16 apartment buildings and 5 private houses, a warehouse, a transport company, and 10 cars.
State Emergency Service units were called in to extinguish 23 fires caused by enemy shelling. They defused 372 enemy munitions.
Other
The transit evacuation point in Lozova took in 101 people in 24 hours. Eleven people remain. A total of 12,516 people have been registered at the point since it began operating.
According to the museum’s leading expert Olha Riznychenko, Kharkiv Literary Museum, damaged by a russian strike on the night of 1 March, has added 50 editions of world classics to its collection. Among the books received are copies that are over a hundred years old. After conducting scientific research, literary scholars will place the rarities in a secure storage facility to protect them from possible repeated attacks by the russian Federation.

Donetsk oblast
Frontline
According to the 7th Air Assault Corps, operators of unmanned aerial systems struck a russian tank in Selydove. Ukrainian troops flew the drone about 30km to carry out the strike.
Maksym Bilousov, Head of the communications department of the 60th Separate Mechanised Ingulets Brigade, reported that daily assaults continue towards Lyman: russian troops are attacking in small groups, using strike drones, artillery and aviation. Ukrainian defenders are responding with engineering structures and deploying ground-based robotic systems.
The General Staff said that russian troops increased the number of attacks in most areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts over the past day.
Towards Pokrovsk, Ukrainian defenders stopped 75 assaults over the past day, towards Kostiantynivka, russian troops carried out 32 attacks, towards Lyman, the russian army attacked 23 times, and towards Oleksandrivka, the Defence Forces repelled 21 attacks.
Attacks
A man was wounded as a result of shelling of Kramatorsk community. According to the administration, at around 4:50pm, russian troops struck the private sector, and an explosion occurred in the adjacent territory of a residential building.
Russian troops shelled Kramatorsk community on 17 November. At 8am, shelling of the private sector was recorded: a residential building and a car were damaged. At 1:05pm, an enemy UAV struck a local enterprise. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties, the administration clarified.
At around 3:35am, russian troops shelled Druzhkivka, causing damage to the industrial sector.
On 16 November, the police recorded 1,684 enemy strikes on the front line and residential areas.
Four settlements were under attacks: Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Malotaranivka, and Osykove. One residential building was destroyed.
In Osykove, Druzhkivka community, a Russian FPV drone killed a civilian.
In Kostiantynivka, one person was wounded as a result of an FPV drone strike.
In Malotaranivka, Kramatorsk community, the enemy struck with a Molniya-2 UAV, damaging a private home.
Other
Police officers evacuated a family with a 13-year-old girl from Kostiantynivka. On the way to the city, the crew came under attack from enemy drones: the windscreen was damaged, but no one was injured. The family lived on the first floor of a destroyed building without electricity, water or heating. While gathering their belongings, 13-year-old Dominika held her dog Meia in her arms. Along with the family, the police evacuated a woman who was the only resident left in the building. Another elderly resident refused to leave, despite her apartment being completely destroyed.

Yuliia Pavliuk, representative of the Coordination Headquarters, confirmed that marine Oleksandr Savov, defender of Mariupol and fighter of the 36th Marine Brigade, who returned from russian captivity in April, has died. Savov was among the defenders who left Azovstal in 2022 and spent almost three years in russian captivity — from Olenivka to colonies in Kursk oblast and Mordovia. After his release, the soldier was returned in critical condition: he was diagnosed with tuberculosis, severe skin lesions and lymphostasis. According to his relatives and the soldier himself, he was tortured, deprived of medical care and systematically abused while in captivity. Despite treatment, his body, exhausted by years of torture, could not withstand it. The Coordination Headquarters emphasises: “russian captivity kills even after return

Zelenskyy posthumously awarded the Order of Merit III degree to photographer and soldier Kostiantyn Huzenko, journalist Olena Hubanova, cameraman Yevhen Karmazin, and French photojournalist Anthony Lallican. Kostiantyn Huzenko served in the 35th Marine Brigade. The soldier was likely killed during the award ceremony in the rear on 3 November. Freedom TV journalist Olena Hubanova and cameraman Yevhen Karmazin were killed in October by a russian Lancet UAV strike in Kramatorsk. Anthony Lallican was killed in October near Druzhkivka in Donetsk oblast by a russian FPV drone attack.
Ukrainian volunteer Nadiia Kalinchenkova from Kramatorsk became a laureate of the Czech “Award of Remembrance of Nations”. She has been volunteering since 2014: from helping displaced persons and weaving camouflage nets in the Kramatorsk Bees NGO to working at the Together to Victory centre. After the full-scale invasion, she continued her volunteer work, and as the front line approached, she moved to Poltava. The award ceremony will take place in Prague on 17 November.
The City Council said that the occupying authorities in Mariupol are completing interior work on the destroyed drama theatre and preparing the premises for Christmas and New Year concerts. The new building only imitates the original theatre: instead of white Crimean stone, the façade was simply painted, and the sculptures were poorly reproduced. On 16 March 2022, russia launched an air strike on the drama theatre, where hundreds of people were hiding, despite the visible inscription “CHILDREN”. According to the prosecutor’s office, there were more than a thousand people in the building, 600 were killed and 400 injured. After the occupiers completely cleared the rubble with the help of the russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, it is no longer possible to determine the exact number of victims.
Luhansk oblast
The occupiers attacked Lyman axis 23 times and attempted to advance near 19 settlements in two directions — Lyman and Sloviansk. Assaults were repelled near Hrekivka. The russians actively used artillery and UAVs.
In the so-called “lpr”, they began to distribute summonses en masse “to verify data”. However, even those who recently updated their records are receiving them. There are confirmed cases where, during such “verification”, people were forced to sign a contract with the russian army.
In Kadiivka, there are long queues to see a notary — there is no electronic registration, and tickets are only issued in a “live queue”. The queue is already full until 2026.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
An important training session on respect and effective communication with veterans was held in Irpin. The event was organised by Khartiia and the Vesta Charitable Foundation for residents and community specialists.
The oblast hosted a major event, VeteranAgroFEST: The Power of Kyiv oblast, which brought together farmers, veterans, Kyiv residents, and guests from different parts of Ukraine and the world. During the festival, musical groups performed on stage, and a fair was held where each district of Kyiv oblast presented its agricultural enterprises, products, and veteran businesses.
In Makariv, the village council announced the opening of the first public space, the “Amphitheatre of Restoration”. It was created in partnership with the community, veterans, and businesses as part of the “Our Place” initiative from RDS. The space includes a wooden stage, a pier for recreation, ramps and comfortable seating for people in wheelchairs.
The film “I Died in Irpin” received the Emile Awards 2025. Anastasiia Falileeva’s animation was named the best short film. It tells the story of the first days of the full-scale invasion through the director’s personal story. Anastasiia and her boyfriend left Kyiv for Irpin on 24 February 2022. They spent ten days in the besieged city and managed to leave with the last evacuation convoy.
Zhytomyr oblast
Zhytomyr City Council reported that 10 dogs and kittens from the frontline areas of Ukraine were brought to Zhytomyr Animal Protection Centre. All animals were evacuated from areas where active hostilities are ongoing, so they are all under stress. Veterinarians are currently treating them and rehabilitating them after their stressful experiences, later volunteers at the centre will then look for new owners for them.
Sumy oblast
On 16 November, the russian army attacked Velyka Pysarivka community in Okhtyrka region by a drone. A 60-year-old man was killed by his injuries. According to Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the man had been driving his car towards the settlement of Velyka Pysarivka, where he had previously lived, when his vehicle was struck by a russian drone.
Olha Zikieieva, Deputy Mayor of Lebedyn, reported that during the night of 15–16 November, the russian army attacked Lyfyne village in Lebedyn community by a UAV. The strike hit a locally significant architectural monument — Khrushchov estate. A fire broke out at the site of the strike, but no injuries or fatalities were recorded. Architect and urbanist Ihor Tytarenko published photographs of Khrushchov estate following the russian attack.

Between the morning of 16 November and the morning of 17 November, russian forces carried out more than 100 attacks on 39 settlements across 18 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy, Shostka and Okhtyrka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (nearly 20 strikes) and UAVs (nearly 20 strikes), and also launched FPV drone attacks. Over the course of the day, air raid alerts in the oblast lasted a total of 22 hours and 1 minute.
Civilian infrastructure was damaged or destroyed:
- in Lebedyn community, a non-residential building was damaged;
- in Sad community, an outbuilding was damaged;
- in Mykolaivka rural community, private residential houses were damaged;
- in Sumy community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
- in Znob-Novhorodske community, private residential houses and non-residential buildings were damaged;
- in Seredyna-Buda community, a private residential building, a multi-storey residential building and a vehicle were damaged;
- in Boromlia community, a residential building and outbuildings were damaged.
During the day, nine people were evacuated from border communities by local authorities in cooperation with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and volunteer organisations.
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that since the beginning of November, more than 70 people have left dangerous areas, including 21 children. Since the start of the organised evacuation effort, 57,000 residents — nearly 64% of those subject to evacuation — have left the border area. This includes more than 8,000 children, almost 93%.
In Sumy oblast, more than 1,500 places have been prepared in transit centres and dormitories for those requiring accommodation. In addition, 86 houses and 9 apartments are available for internally displaced persons.
Chernihiv oblast
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that during 16 November, Border Guard Service personnel shot down five russian Herbera drones over Chernihiv oblast. Another Shahed and three Herbera drones were brought down by border guards in Sumy oblast.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that last week, from 10 to 16 November, the russian army carried out 178 attacks on settlements in Chernihiv oblast, mainly using strike drones. Air Defence Forces shot down 114 UAVs.
According to Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, as a result of an enemy attack on Novhorod-Siverskyi during the night of 17 November, at least ten households, a shop and two vehicles were damaged.
Liudmyla Tkachenko, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi community, said that on the evening of 16 November, russian forces dropped an explosive device on one of the villages of Novhorod-Siverskyi community. The device was neutralised. Preliminary reports indicate no injuries.
On 16 November, russian forces struck a civilian infrastructure facility in Novhorod-Siverskyi by a “Lancet” UAV. A 54-year-old woman suffered a concussion, Seliverstov reported. According to “North” Operational Command, the injured woman was an employee of a fuel station targeted by the russian strike.
The “North” Operational Command informed that in a russian attack on 16 November on one of the communities in Koriukivka region, two energy facilities were damaged and a sunflower storage hangar caught fire.
According to Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment, on 16 November, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (6 explosions) and tube artillery strikes (9 explosions), launched “Lancet” UAVs (1 explosion), “Shahed” UAVs (2 explosions), “Molniia” UAVs (1 explosion), FPV drones (8 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (5 explosions).
The Chernihiv Regional Police reported that in Pryluky and Novhorod-Siverskyi regions, police explosive ordnance teams neutralised warheads from downed russian drones. One drone was found in a field during agricultural work. At night, during harvest operations, a downed russian drone was caught in a combine harvester. No injuries were reported.

The Special Purpose Emergency Rescue Unit of the State Emergency Service of Chernihiv oblast informed that in Chernihiv oblast, State Emergency Service sappers neutralised fragments of a russian Iskander missile that had fallen in an open area without detonating.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, announced that over the past week, from 10 to 16 November, 108 people — including six children — left the border areas of Chernihiv oblast, which are regularly shelled by russian forces. The largest number of evacuees came from Semenivka community (79 people), followed by 26 from Novhorod-Siverskyi community, two from Snovsk community and one from Koriukivka community. All evacuees remained within the oblast.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Air-defence units were operating in the oblast and destroyed 2 russian UAVs.
In Nikopol region, from evening until morning, the occupiers attacked the region by drones and artillery. They targeted the regional centre, Marhanets and Pokrovske communities.
In Pavlohrad region, a UAV strike damaged a transport company.
In Nikopol region, 2 people, a 76-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man, were killed in Nikopol as a result of russian shelling. 3 people were injured. The attacks targeted the regional centre, Pokrovske, Myrove, Marhanets and Chervonohryhorivka communities. A kindergarten, a cultural institution, a sports facility, 4 high-rise buildings and 2 private houses, a church, a market, 5 shops, a shopping centre, a hair salon, a petrol station, an outbuilding, vehicles, infrastructure facilities and a power line were damaged.
In Pavlohrad region, the occupiers struck Mezhyrich and Verbky communities by UAVs. A 33-year-old woman was wounded. Damage was reported to infrastructure, 7 private houses and outbuildings.
In Synelnykove region, russian forces attacked Pokrovske and Mezhova communities by KABs and UAVs. A commercial complex was destroyed. A church, 2 educational facilities, 9 shops, a notary office, an administrative building, 4 high-rise buildings, 2 private houses and vehicles were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
The deaths of 4 defenders from Vinnytsia oblast have been confirmed: Yevhenii Pokryshchuk, Serhii Daniletskyi, Oleh Dotsenko and Yurii Sribnyi.
Kirovohrad oblast
Tetiana Riaboshapka, Spokesperson of Regional Police Department, reported that in Kirovohrad oblast, explosive ordnance technicians destroyed an unexploded warhead from a russian UAV. Responding to a call, police officers examined a downed russian drone and established that its warhead had not detonated. It was later destroyed at a safe distance from settlements.
Poltava oblast
2 defenders from Poltava oblast were killed: Andrii Nosul from Kremenchuk and Andrii Horkun from Krasnolutsk community.
Staff Sergeant Andrii Nosul was killed on 8 November 2025 due to a russian FPV-drone attack near Beryslav in Kherson oblast.
Soldier Andrii Horkun was killed on 16 November as a result of a russian FPV-drone strike near Dibrova village in Donetsk oblast.
In Kremenchuk region, the mother of fallen soldier Oleh Kalashnyk received his posthumous state award — the Order For Courage, 3rd Class. He was killed in action on 18 October 2023 near Verbove village in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
According to the ME MiskSvitlo, Poltava is introducing modern energy-efficient solutions to ensure that intersections remain illuminated during power outages or blackouts. Currently, 8 uncontrolled pedestrian crossings in the city are equipped with solar panels.
Cherkasy oblast
A memorial plaque was unveiled at a school in Helmiaziv community in honour of defender Denys Yankovskyi, who was killed in the war with russia. Denys fought in Pokrovsk region. He went missing on 16 November 2024 and was buried on 5 August 2025.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Yesterday, 16 November, the occupiers carried out 708 strikes on 17 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched seven airstrikes on Ternuvate, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Bilohiria, Vozdvyzhivka, and Chervone. 423 UAVs of various types (mostly FPVs) attacked Chervonodniprovka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Rivnopillia, Vesele, and Varvarivka. Five MLRS attacks targeted Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Rivnopillia, and Pryvilne. There were 273 artillery strikes on Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Rivnopillia, Varvarivka, and Vesele. Nine reports of damaged homes and vehicles were received.
As of 4pm on 17 November, Ukrainian defenders repelled five enemy attacks near Solodke, Rivnopillia, and Zelenyi Hai towards Huliaipole, with one more clash ongoing. Over the past day, 16 November, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 21 russian attacks towards Huliaipole and stopped one more towards Orikhiv.
Mykolaiv oblast
Yesterday, the enemy twice attacked Ochakiv community with FPV drones. No casualties were reported.
Odesa oblast
On the night of 17 November, russian terrorists once again launched a massive attack on Odesa oblast using strike drones. Explosions were heard in several cities. Energy and port infrastructure was damaged. Several civilian vessels were affected during the attack, and one person was injured.
The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority reported that after the nighttime attack on the port of Izmail, gas-pumping equipment caught fire on board a civilian vessel sailing under the Turkish flag.
Kherson oblast
The death of a Kherson resident from a russian strike on 15 November was confirmed. The victim was a 75-year-old man.
At around 10:40am, russian occupiers attacked Novoraisk with a drone. A 68-year-old man sustained a concussion, shrapnel wounds to his legs, and blast and closed head injuries.
At around 11am in Khreshchenivka, Novovorontsovka community, a child was injured after an explosive detonated. A 16-year-old boy found an explosive device on the street and picked it up. The detonation caused a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his arms and legs.
A woman who came under russian fire in Dniprovskyi district on the morning of 15 November was admitted to hospital. The 65-year-old Kherson resident was diagnosed with a blast injury and concussion.
A man injured in a russian strike on Tsentralnyi district on the morning of 15 November also sought medical care. The 70-year-old resident suffered a concussion.
A resident of Bilozerka injured in a russian shelling on 12 November was hospitalized with a mine-blast injury and a concussion. The victim is a 77-year-old man.
Last night, russians attacked two ambulances with drones in Kherson’s Dniprovskyi district. A 64-year-old driver sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his limbs. A 32-year-old paramedic suffered a concussion as well as blast and closed head injuries. During another attack, no one was hurt, but the medical vehicle was damaged.
Yesterday, 16 November, the russian forces attacked Antonivka, Komyshany, Prydniprovske, Sadove, Bilozerka, Dniprovskе, Kizomys, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Monastyrske, Chervonyi Maiak, Dudchany, Lvove, Vesele, Kozatske and the city of Kherson. A multi-storey building, two private homes, an outbuilding, ambulances, a private car, and a gas pipeline were damaged. One person was killed and 11 were injured due to russian aggression.
As of 4pm on 17 November, the enemy twice unsuccessfully attempted to approach the positions of Ukrainian defenders towards Kherson.
From 10 to 16 November, Ukrainian units destroyed 2,306 out of 2,409 drones launched by russian forces at Kherson oblast. Within Kherson community alone, 1,174 out of 1,229 drones were shot down or suppressed by electronic warfare systems. In total, the Defense Forces shot down 95% of the drones launched by the occupiers at the right bank.
In Henichesk, in the temporarily occupied part of Kherson oblast, teenagers from “troubled” families are being forced to work in what are effectively labor camps under the guise of “patriotic education.” According to the National Resistance Center, at the latest commission meeting the occupiers declared the “need to involve teenagers in ‘volunteering.’” This means forced labor: cleaning streets, participating in propaganda events, and filming for russian media. Those who refuse face threats of new cases against their families. Special pressure is put on boys aged 16–17, who are blackmailed with being “registered” at military enlistment offices. Any “misconduct” could be used as grounds for accelerated conscription.
Dariivka, Bilozerka, and Mylove communities received more than two dozen generators thanks to the For the Future NGO Women’s Movement . The equipment will primarily be used to power critical infrastructure facilities, including water supply systems.

Ternopil oblast
In Ternopil oblast, a control inspection of the territorial subsystem of civil protection is being carried out by the commission of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. A constituent meeting was held on the procedure for conducting the control inspection. It will cover the activities of executive authorities and local self-government bodies.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi City Council reported that 104 servicemen will receive financial assistance for rehabilitation and treatment. The total amount of assistance is UAH 1.6m.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Ukraine and France have signed a military agreement. The document provides for the purchase of 100 Rafale multi-role fighter jets, as well as an increase in the number of air defense systems, probably SAMP/T, which already help Ukraine defend its skies and drones.
Ukraine and Greece signed a document on gas supplies. Under the future agreement, gas will be transported to Ukraine via a route jointly provided by gas transmission system operators of five European countries.
