The situation in other sectors remained unchanged.
The Coordination Centre informed that the final stage of repatriation activities under the agreements reached in Istanbul took place. Another 1,245 bodies were returned to Ukraine, which, according to the russian side, belong to Ukrainian citizens, including military personnel. Thus, Ukraine has received 6,057 bodies under the Istanbul agreements.
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko reported that during the latest repatriations, the bodies of russian soldiers were also transferred – mixed with the bodies of Ukrainians. Unfortunately, this is a fact. This could have been done deliberately by the russians to increase the number of bodies transferred and to overload the work of our experts, adding to it cynical information pressure. Or it could be their usual negligent attitude towards their own people. In any case, these bodies will also be identified. Bodies are returned in an extremely mutilated state, parts of bodies are in different bags. There are cases when the remains of one person are returned even during different stages of repatriation.
