Since the beginning of the day, 78 combat engagements have taken place along the front line.
The enemy carried out artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, in particular targeting the areas of the settlements of Rohizne and Iskryskivshchyna in Sumy region.
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, six combat clashes occurred with the enemy. The adversary launched 39 attacks on populated areas and the positions of our units, including one strike using a multiple launch rocket system. Two clashes are currently ongoing.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked five times near the settlements of Vovchansk and Vovchanski Khutory. Three engagements are ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted one offensive action toward Kurylivka but was repelled.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled seven attacks by the occupiers toward the settlements of Druzhliubivka, Tverdokhlibove, Drobysheve, Stavky, and Lyman.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy is currently conducting one offensive action toward Rai-Oleksandrivka; fighting continues.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces twice attempted to advance on our positions near Bondarne and Orikhovo-Vasylivka. One battle is ongoing.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the occupiers carried out six offensive actions near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka. One attack is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers have made 23 attempts to push our troops from their positions near the settlements of Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, and in the directions of Toretske, Novyi Donbas, Vilne, Shevchenko, Novooleksandrivka, and Novopavlivka. The Defense Forces are holding the line and have already repelled 20 attacks.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the aggressor attacked five times toward the settlements of Ivanivka, Oleksiivka, and Zlahoda. Two attacks are still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 22 attacks by the occupiers toward the settlements of Dobropillia, Pryluki, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Sviatopetrivka, Zelene, and Staroukrainka. In addition, enemy aircraft struck the settlements of Samiilivka, Novoukrainka, Kopani, Hirke, Shyroke, Charivne, Liubytske, and Vozdvyzhivka. Eleven combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovske directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
No significant changes in the situation have been recorded in other directions at this time.
Ukrainian forces are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
Skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych is launching a project to support the families of fallen athletes depicted on his helmet. About 100 residential buildings in the capital remain without heating after the enemy’s attack on Kyiv’s infrastructure on February 12, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported. коммунal services have already restored heat supply to 2,500 out of 2,600 buildings that were left without heating. However, more than 1,100 buildings in the Dniprovskyi and Darnytskyi districts remain without heat following previous shelling. In Kyiv, nearly 200 State Emergency Service assistance points operating in tent-based locations continue to function around the clock. More than 38,000 people sought help there last week — an average of about 6,000 per day. The highest number of visitors was recorded on the left bank of the capital and in the Holosiivskyi district, where the heating situation remains the most difficult.
Two-time world kickboxing champion Mykola Litovchenko, originally from Sievierodonetsk, was killed on the front line. The fallen defender will be buried in Irpin, Kyiv region, according to the Sievierodonetsk Military Administration. He was 28 years old and was killed in the Lyman direction of the front. At the age of 16, Mykola won two gold medals at the WPKA Junior World Kickboxing Championship in Athens and earned the title of Master of Sports. Three years ago, he moved with his family to Irpin in the Kyiv region. In 2025, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In Borodianka, ten apartment buildings have been restored, said Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk. Some of the buildings were damaged during the occupation, while others were included in a comprehensive recovery program. Each underwent major repairs, and solar panels with inverters were installed on the rooftops to supply electricity to entrances, elevators, and courtyards. Children’s playgrounds, outdoor fitness equipment, and recreation areas were also arranged near the buildings.
Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset arrived in Kyiv on a working visit. During talks with Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, they discussed the situation on the front line, the consequences of Russian strikes on the energy sector, and further peace initiatives.
In Kyiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and Sheldon Whitehouse. The meeting focused on strengthening sanctions against Russia, in particular targeting the nuclear energy sector and Russia’s tanker fleet.
Zhytomyr oblast
In 2025, as part of a government-initiated program providing financial compensation for the purchase of housing for veterans and their families, Zhytomyr region received over UAH 580 million, the Regional Military Administration reported. As of February 1, 2026, 105 families have already fulfilled their dream of owning a home. Nearly UAH 245 million has been allocated for the purchase of apartments and houses.
A portrait of Zhytomyr native Andrii Yaremenko — a serviceman and medalist of Ukrainian championships and cups in Greco-Roman wrestling — is featured on the “memory helmet” of Ukrainian skeleton athlete Vladyslav Heraskevych. This was announced by Yaremenko’s coach, Petro Pyskun.
It is worth recalling that the International Olympic Committee disqualified the athlete over his intention to compete at the 2026 Olympic Games wearing this helmet. The helmet depicts 22 Ukrainian athletes who were killed as a result of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
Sumy oblast
On 15 February at approximately 2pm, a russian drone struck a private residential house in Pidloziivka village, Chernechchyna rural community. According to Roman Bublyk, Head of Chernechchyna rural community, there were no casualties.

Oksana Kryvushchenko, the facility’s director, reported that during the night of 15 February, a russian drone struck Shostka City Centre for Comprehensive Rehabilitation of Children with Disabilities.
Specialists’ offices and the reception area were damaged, windows were shattered, and furniture and equipment were burned. There were no fatalities or injuries.
Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that over 15 February, six civilians were injured as a result of russian aggression.
In Okhtyrka region, two civilian women and one man were injured. In Chernechchyna rural community, a 61-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction after a russian drone struck a residential building. In Velyka Pysarivka community, a civilian vehicle was targeted; a 43-year-old woman was hospitalised with injuries.
Also on 15 February, a man in Velyka Pysarivka community was injured after driving over an explosive device. He received medical assistance.
In Popivka community, a russian missile strike damaged private residential houses. Preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties. Inspections are ongoing.
From the morning of 15 February to the morning of 16 February, russian forces carried out nearly 80 attacks on 33 settlements across 15 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy, Shostka and Konotop regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs, guided aerial bombs and carried out a missile strike. Air raid alerts in the oblast lasted 18 hours and 9 minutes over the past day.
Civilian infrastructure damaged or destroyed includes:
- In Sumy community: medical facilities, a multi-storey residential building, a private house, a civilian infrastructure facility and a passenger car were damaged;
- In Znob-Novhorodske community: a vehicle was damaged;
- In Bilopillia community: passenger cars were damaged;
- In Chernechchyna community: private households were damaged;
- In Velyka Pysarivka community: a private passenger car was destroyed;
- In Buryn community: private residential houses was destroyed;
- In Popivka community: a civilian infrastructure facility and private residential houses were damaged;
- In Konotop community: non-residential premises was damaged;
- In Shostka community: a private house and a passenger car were damaged.

According to the Regional Military Administration, over the past day, four people were evacuated from border communities by local authorities in cooperation with units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine and volunteer organisations.
Chernihiv oblast
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, reported that from 9 to 15 February, Ukraine’s Defence Forces destroyed 79 russian strike drones in the skies over Chernihiv oblast.
Sumy Oblast Police informed that during the night of 16 February, a russian UAV struck a residential building in Koriukivka region. The impact caused a fire, which was contained by the State Emergency Service. No casualties were reported.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that at around 5pm on 15 February, russian forces attacked Pushkari village in Novhorod-Siverskyi community by a fibre-optic FPV drone. A private residential house was hit. The explosion damaged the roof, façade and window glazing.
According to Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, on 15 February, the enemy carried out several strikes on Semenivka. As a result of hits by a “Molniia” UAV and an FPV drone, a private house and a company service vehicle were damaged.
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that Over the course of 15 February, russian troops attacked four border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia and Snovsk. The enemy launched mortar attacks (13 explosions) and tube artillery strikes (20 explosions), carried out strikes by “Molniia”-type UAVs (four explosions) and FPV drones (36 explosions), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (one explosion). Twelve settlements came under fire.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv RMA, reported that over the past two weeks, from 2 to 15 February, 18 residents left border settlements of Chernihiv oblast, all from Novhorod-Siverskyi rehion. Some had previously submitted written refusals to evacuate. This was reported by. Since the beginning of the year, 76 people have been evacuated. A total of 220 residents remain in the most dangerous five-kilometre zone.
The Regional State Administration announced that Chernihiv oblast has received five generators with a capacity ranging from 40 to 200 kW from the French region of Île-de-France, with which it maintains a partnership. The backup power sources were delivered to municipal and social protection institutions in Honcharivka, Horodnia, Pryluky and Sukhopolova communities.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Nikopol district. The enemy attacked Nikopol and the Pokrovska rural community with drones and artillery. Infrastructure was damaged.
Nikopol district. The enemy launched drone and artillery strikes across the area, targeting Nikopol, the Myrivska, Marhanetska, Chervonohryhorivska, and Pokrovska rural communities. A 55-year-old man was injured and received the necessary medical assistance.
Five apartment buildings, four private houses, a dormitory, and a religious institution were damaged. Two greenhouses and two vehicles were also damaged. An outbuilding was destroyed, another was damaged, and a gas pipeline was affected.
Synelnykove district. As a result of a UAV attack in the Vasylkivska community, fires broke out. A residential house and a farming enterprise were damaged.
Kirovohrad oblast
In two communities of Kirovohrad region, residents bid farewell to servicemen who were killed in the war against Russia. They were Ruslan Zozulia from the village of Pidvysoke and Stanislav Biliatynskyi from the settlement of Vilshanka.
Ruslan Zozulia was killed on February 2 near the settlement of Zaliznychne in Polohy district, Zaporizhzhia region. He was 48 years old.
Stanislav Biliatynskyi was killed on December 3, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Novoiehorivka in Svatove district, Luhansk region.
Poltava oblast
At the Holy Dormition Cathedral (Sviato-Uspenskyi Cathedral), a farewell ceremony was held for servicemen from Poltava — Bohdan Leshchenko and Vitalii Sakal.
Bohdan Leshchenko was killed on January 31, 2026, while carrying out a combat mission in Zaporizhzhia region.
Vitalii Sakal was killed on October 26, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in Donetsk region.
In the region, communities also bid farewell to three fallen defenders: Valerii Kabachok from the Obolon community, Viktor Harus from the Velykorublivka community, and Vasyl Velykoivanenko from the Khorol territorial community.
Valerii Kabachok was killed on February 11, 2026, as a result of Russian artillery shelling near the settlement of Katerynivka in Kharkiv region.
Vasyl Velykoivanenko was killed on May 16, 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Burlatske in Donetsk region.
Viktor Harus was killed on December 17, 2024, while carrying out a combat mission in the Kursk direction.
In Poltava region, 420 convicted individuals were granted conditional early release from penitentiary institutions to serve in the military under contract. Cherkasy oblast

Sappers also discovered and neutralized the remains of a rocket from a multiple launch rocket system in Zaporizhzhia.
Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration reported that yesterday, 15 February, the occupiers carried out 668 strikes on 32 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted 13 air strikes on Yuliivka, Hryhorivka, Zarichne, Zaliznychne, Huliaipilske, Dolynka, Verkhnia Tersa, Hirske, and Blakytne. 359 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV drones) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Novomykolaivka, Mykhailo-Lukasheve, Pidhirne, Liubymivka, Petropavlivka, Stepnohirsk, Pavlivka, Prymorske, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Dorozhnianka, Zelene, Rybne, Dobropillia, and Pryluky. Six MLRS strikes targeted Stepnohirsk, Pavlivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, and Pryluky. 290 artillery strikes were carried out on Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Dorozhnianka, Zelene, Rybne, Dobropillia, and Pryluky. Authorities received 74 reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities. Six people were injured as a result of enemy strikes in Zaporizhzhia region.
According to the regional State Emergency Service, over the past day, 15 February, four fires broke out in Zaporizhzhia oblast due to russian shelling.
The General Staff reported that as of 16:00 on 16 February, Ukrainian defenders were repelling 22 enemy attacks near the settlements of Dobropillia, Pryluky, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Sviatopetrivka, Zelene, and Staroukrainka towards Huliaipole. Eleven clashes were still ongoing. Over the past day, 15 February, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 42 russian attacks towards Huliaipole and eight towards Orikhiv.
The General Staff also reported that on the night of 16 February, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck russian troops in the area of Kalynivka in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian losses and the extent of the damage are being clarified.
Mykolaiv oblast
Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration reported that overnight, one UAV, preliminarily identified as a Molniya type, was shot down or suppressed in the region. There was no shelling in Mykolaiv oblast.
The head of Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitalii Kim, said that russian forces are attacking wind power stations in Mykolaiv oblast. As a result of drone strikes, four wind turbines in the region were damaged. According to him, it is nearly impossible to protect wind power stations, so some of the region’s wind turbines are currently not operating.
Kherson oblast
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that at around 16:00, russian occupiers shelled Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A 63-year-old woman sustained a blast injury, concussion, and head contusion.
At approximately 12:20, russian occupiers attacked one of the hospitals in Kherson with a UAV. As a result of the strike, two female medical workers were injured and diagnosed with blast injuries, concussions, and shrapnel wounds. The hospital building sustained damage to the facade – windows were shattered, offices were damaged, and the heating and water supply systems were damaged.
At around 10:40, russian occupiers attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson with a UAV. A 67-year-old man suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his legs.
A woman who had been injured during russian shelling of Kherson on the afternoon of 14 February sought medical assistance. The 71-year-old Kherson resident was diagnosed with a blast injury, concussion, and acute stress reaction.
Police of Kherson oblast reported that yesterday, 16 February, the russian forces attacked Kherson, Antonivka, Komyshany, Kizomys, Prydniprovske, Stanislav, Doslidne, Pravdyne, Dariivka, Stepanivka, Novodmytrivka, Bilozerka, Yantarne, Dniprovske, Velytenske, Shyroka Balka, Beryslav, Novoraivsk, Urozhaine, Odradokamianka, Olhivka, Lvove, Burhunka, Tiahynka, Kozatske, and Vesele. As a result of the shelling, five apartment buildings and five private houses, two educational institutions, an outpatient clinic, a chapel, a truck and two passenger cars, gas pipelines, and a shop were damaged. Three people were injured as a result of russian aggression.
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that last week, the Fortitude mobile clinic visited Velyka Oleksandrivka community. More than 250 residents underwent medical examinations and received necessary consultations from specialists.

Volyn oblast
The death of Volyn defender Volodymyr Nevirets has been confirmed. The soldier was considered missing and is now returning home forever “on the shield.” Soldier Nevirets Volodymyr, born in 1983, resident of the village of Birky. The soldier was killed while performing a combat mission on 9 April, 2024 in Donetsk oblast.
Zakarpattia oblast
The flag of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo was presented to Uzhhorod community as a sign of gratitude for the support of the military. The unit consists of 109 servicemen from the oblast, including 11 from Uzhhorod.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Prykarpattia will attract over EUR 1.4m in grant funds for the development of border areas within the framework of the Interreg NEXT Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 Program. Out of 26 project applications submitted from our region, 9 projects were selected for funding. The total cost of the projects is EUR 4.3m, of which EUR 1.4m are grant funds for partners from the oblast. Another 9 projects were included in the reserve list.
Lviv oblast
Residents of the village of Shcheploty, Yavoriv community, joined the volunteer initiative Warm Box for Defenders. Through joint efforts, they raised goodies, warm socks, coffee, tea, hygiene products and baked homemade donuts.
In Sudova Vyshna, youth and adults continue to weave camouflage nets. This week, they completed the 43rd camouflage net.
Rivne oblast
18 families from Rivne oblast have already received loans under the government’s e-Housing program since the beginning of the year. The amount of funds provided is UAH 32.6m. Among the recipients, the largest number is represented by representatives of the Defense Forces, medics and teachers.
Ternopil oblast
The Center for Support of Veterans and Families of Heroes held a financial and educational game Life Capital. During the game, participants simulated various life circumstances. This approach allowed not only to better understand the principles of personal finance management, but also to experience in practice the consequences of certain decisions .
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community sent 27 DJI MATRICE 4T quadcopters worth UAH 4.5m to the Defense Forces. Purchased with budget funds.
Chernivtsi oblast
Sergeant Yakobchuk Vitalii, soldier from the village of Rzhavyntsi, Yurkovets community, has been awarded the Golden Cross, an honorary breastplate by Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is one of the highest decorations for privates and sergeants, awarded for courage, heroism and successful completion of combat missions.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The European Parliament has supported the provision of a €90bn loan to Ukraine for 2026-2027. This was announced by European Commissioner for the Economy Valdis Dombrovskis. The loan consists of €60bn in military aid and €30bn in budget support. The financing will be carried out at the expense of European Union borrowings.
The EU is preparing an energy support plan for Ukraine. The plan is planned to be completed by next winter.
