The Defense Forces are taking measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory.

Border communities have been affected by enemy artillery fire, including: Shostka, Chernatske, Nova Huta, Pokrovka, Chervonyi Pakhar, Ulanove, Mykhailivka, Prokhody, Bila Bereza, Popivka, Turya, Novodmytrivka, Sydorivka, Hrabovske, and Maryinka in Sumy region.
In the Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk directions, there have been seven combat engagements since the beginning of the day. In addition, the enemy carried out one airstrike, dropping four guided bombs, and conducted 127 attacks on our positions and settlements, including three using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
In the Southern-Slobozhanske direction, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk and Stroivka. One combat engagement is still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian occupiers attempted to break through our defense near the settlements of Stepova Novoselivka and Pishchane. In total, three combat engagements have taken place in this direction since the beginning of the day.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army launched 18 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian units near the settlements of Novyi Myr, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Karpivka, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, and toward Shandryholove and Serebrianka. Four combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, the Defense Forces repelled two enemy attacks near Hryhorivka and Vyiimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped five enemy attacks in the areas of Predtechyne, Bila Hora, and Stupochky, with one engagement still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy conducted seven assault actions near Diliivka, Toretsk, Novospaske, and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders attempted 29 times to dislodge our defenders from their positions near the settlements of Popiv Yar, Novoeconomichne, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Zvirove, Udachne, Oleksiivka, and in the direction of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Muravka Filiya, and Dachne. The Defense Forces are holding back the assault and have repelled 28 enemy attacks; one battle is still ongoing.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy tried to breach our defenders’ lines near the settlements of Zaporizhzhia, Piddubne, Lisne, Myrne, Maliivka, Shevchenko, Novosilka, and toward Novokhatske. The Defense Forces successfully repelled 14 enemy assaults, while two attacks are still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers launched an airstrike on the settlement of Novoandriivka.
In the Dnipro River area (Prydniprovske direction), Ukrainian soldiers repelled six enemy attacks near the Antonivskyi Bridge and the islands of Kozulskyi and Zabich.

Shelling and Civilian Casualties
Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and nine settlements in Kharkiv region came under enemy fire.
As a result of the attacks, 1 person was killed and 9 injured, including 2 children.
In Zlatopil, a 57-year-old woman was killed; a 69-year-old man, 32-year-old, 56-year-old, and 68-year-old women, and a 13-year-old girl were injured.
In Borivske (Shevchenkivska hromada), a 16-year-old boy was wounded.
In Kupiansk, a 49-year-old man was injured.
In Prykolotne (Vilkhuvatka hromada), a 68-year-old woman was wounded.
In Velykyi Burluk, a 52-year-old man was injured.
The woman killed in Zlatopil on July 14 had been on her way to the Territorial Recruitment Center to inquire about her missing husband, a soldier serving as a rifleman, when a Russian drone attack struck the city. A boiler house nearby was destroyed in the strike, killing the woman instantly. She had taken her younger daughter with her. When police arrived at the scene, the 13-year-old girl was sitting beside her mother’s body, having suffered injuries from glass and debris. The girl was taken in by her older sisters, according to police chief Serhii Bolvinov.
The enemy also struck Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with an FPV drone.

Water Crisis in Kupiansk
There is no water supply in Kupiansk after a guided aerial bomb strike on the local water utility facility by Russian forces, according to Kupiansk Military Administration head Andrii Besedin. He stated that repairs are only possible with specialized equipment, and efforts are currently underway. Around 1,280 residents remain in the city.
Casualties in Kharkiv Region (July 7–13): 6 people killed due to Russian strikes and explosions caused by explosive devices. 46 people injured, and 76 experienced acute stress reactions.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline Update
On the Pokrovsk sector of the front, the number of enemy assaults has decreased compared to the previous day. Over the past 24 hours, Russian occupiers launched 55 attacks on Defense Forces positions in the direction of Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, and toward the Dnipropetrovsk region. Combat was recorded near Novoeconomichne, Fedorivka, Lysivka, Udachne, Poltavka, Muravka, and Oleksiivka.
The day before, 74 assaults had been reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Fewer battles than the previous day were also recorded in the Lyman, Kramatorsk, Toretsk, and Novopavlivka directions, while more assaults took place in the Siversk sector.
Shelling
A woman was injured as a result of an attack on Kramatorsk.
According to Serhii Kukochka, head of the Civil Protection Department of the Kramatorsk City Council, two strikes were recorded on the outskirts of the city.
An educational institution, two private homes were destroyed, and about fifty other private houses were damaged.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 2,900 strikes, concentrating fire on eight settlements across Donetsk region, causing multiple civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
In Rodynske, Russian troops struck residential areas overnight using Smerch multiple launch rocket systems. Four people aged between 37 and 69 were injured and hospitalized. Later, around 12:30 AM, the occupiers launched another strike, wounding four more people and destroying an apartment building. Earlier, a KAB-250 guided aerial bomb hit the town, damaging an apartment building, a non-residential facility, and a critical infrastructure site.
In Myrnohrad, a KAB-250 bomb strike killed one civilian and destroyed a multi-story residential building.
In Kostiantynivka, Russian forces used three KAB-250 bombs, artillery, and drones. One person was killed, another wounded. The attack damaged six apartment buildings, eight private homes, and an educational institution.
In Pokrovsk, three civilians were injured as a result of shelling. A multi-story residential building and two private homes were damaged.
In Hannivka, two KAB-250 bombs were dropped. Two residents were injured, and six houses were damaged.
These attacks once again demonstrate Russia’s ongoing campaign of terror targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine’s eastern regions.
Luhansk oblast
On the Lyman sector, Russian forces launched 27 assaults. In Luhansk region, they stormed Ukrainian positions near Hrekivka and carried out 39 artillery attacks. Additionally, they deployed 69 reconnaissance drones and 8 FPV drones against Ukrainian defenders.
Meanwhile, in the temporarily occupied parts of Luhansk region, at least 144,000 subscribers were left without electricity due to fires and a powerful storm. As a result, water intakes have stopped functioning, and an accident at a pumping station has left another 300,000 people without access to water.
In Lysychansk, Russian construction crews abandoned yet another apartment building project, barely having begun restoration work. Their only actions included breaking into empty apartments and dismantling the sewage system, leaving residents without access to sanitation.
This situation highlights the continued degradation of living conditions in occupied territories and the ongoing pressure on the front lines.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina arrived in Kyiv on 15 July. At the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, she will participate in the anniversary celebrations of Ukrainian statehood and meetings with senior Ukrainian officials.
On 14 July, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Danish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen in Kyiv. Discussions focused on defence needs, strengthening air defence, countering russian missiles, and developing joint defence production.
The RMA reported that the third course in 2025 has been completed at the Kyiv Regional Centre for Training the Population for National Resistance. More than 100 motivated residents of Kyiv oblast have mastered knowledge and skills in 17 disciplines, from tactical medicine and fire training to working with UAVs and military topography. 90% of the training process takes place at the training ground, with the rest being intensive lectures.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that Kyiv had received two more diesel passenger buses as humanitarian aid from its Finnish sister city Tampere. The capital will refurbish them and use them for humanitarian purposes.
Zhytomyr oblast
According to local authorities of the village of Stanyshivka, on 14 July, border guard Oleksandr Palamarchuk, who had been held captive in russia for over three years, returned home. Oleksandr was a defender of Azovstal and was taken prisoner by russia on 19 May 2022. During his captivity, he went through hell in Olenivka, Dovzhansk and other prisons.
According to Zhytomyr city council In Brandenburg, Germany, veterans from Zhytomyr, representing Ukraine’s national team, won silver at the World Dragon Boat Championships in the Paradragon category. The Ukrainian crew consisted of 20 athletes: 10 veterans and 10 professional rowers.
Sumy oblast
The Ground Forces reported that Ukrainian Air Forces struck russian FPV-drone units that were attacking Sumy oblast. Soldiers of the 47th Mechanized Brigade directed an Air Force aircraft toward two russian FPV units actively targeting the area. Ukrainian aviation carried out four strikes.
The General Staff informed that on Northern-Slobozhanske and Kursk front, 20 combat engagements took place yesterday. Enemy forces carried out 16 airstrikes, dropped 39 guided bombs, and launched 372 shelling attacks, including nine from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Enemy troops attacked toward Tiotkino and Oleshni (russia), as well as Oleksiivka and Bilovody in Khotin community.
Around 1pm on 15 July, the enemy attacked Bytytskyi starosta district of Sumy community. Preliminary reports indicate that russian forces struck by three guided aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, private residential buildings were damaged. Damage assessment and recovery efforts are ongoing.

Oleh Hryhorov, Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, said that on the night of 15 July, russian forces attacked Shostka community. The russian army struck the city by three missiles. As a result of the attack, a medical facility, multi-story apartment buildings, and private homes were damaged.
According to the Regional Military Administration, a 14-year-old child was injured in Shostka due to a russian strike. The girl sustained shrapnel wounds from broken glass while running to a shelter. She was hospitalized, and doctors are providing all necessary medical assistance.
As a result of russian shelling over the past day, as of the morning of 15 July, thirteen civilians were injured in Sumy oblast. Among them are two 14-year-old children — in Sumy and Shostka.
During the day, from the morning of 14 July to the morning of 15 July, russian forces carried out 85 shelling attacks on 34 settlements across 13 territorial communities in the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (30 strikes), dropped explosive grenades from UAVs (nearly 10 strikes), and launched MLRS attacks (nearly 20 strikes), as well as FPV-drone strikes, UAV attacks, and missile strikes.
According to the Military Administration, the following damage was reported in the communities:
- In Sumy community — a school building, a medical facility, a vehicle, and non-residential premises;
- In Hlukhiv community — civilian infrastructure facilities;
- In Shostka community — multi-story apartment buildings, private homes, and a medical facility.
Over the past day, 24 people were evacuated from border communities by local authorities in cooperation with units of the State Emergency Service, National Police, and public organizations.
According to the Regional Military Administration, on 14 July, one of the largest universities in Sumy oblast came under attack by three russian drones. As a result of the targeted strike on the educational institution, five staff members were injured, along with a 19-year-old student. Additionally, an 18-year-old girl sought help due to an acute stress reaction. University buildings were damaged, windows shattered, and glass debris scattered across the premises. Despite everything, the university continues to operate: the admission campaign is underway, and admissions committees are welcoming applicants.
Chernihiv oblast
Enemy forces dropped an explosive device from a drone on a border village in Novhorod-Siverskyi community. A 51-year-old civilian man, a local resident, was injured. At the moment the drone arrived, the man had stepped into his yard. He is currently under medical supervision.
The Department for Civil Protection and Defense Work of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reported that during the day on 14 July, explosions from russian ‘Geran-2’ drones were recorded in Chernihiv and Nizhyn regions. One of the drones caused a fire in a wheat field upon impact.
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that on 14 July, russian forces attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (22 explosions), barrel artillery strikes (8 explosions), and MLRS attacks (4 explosions), launched FPV-drone strikes (25 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (35 explosions). A total of 15 settlements came under enemy fire.
According to Andrii Podorvan, Advisor to the Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers allocated UAH 12.15m. in subsidies to pay specialists supporting war veterans in Chernihiv oblast. Currently, 85 positions for specialists assisting war veterans and demobilized individuals have been introduced across 49 communities in the oblast.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Since the evening, air defense forces have been actively operating in the region. Ukrainian defenders successfully shot down 16 enemy drones.
As a result of the attack on Dnipro, a multi-story residential building, six private homes, and an educational institution were damaged.
The enemy continued shelling Nikopol district, targeting the district center, as well as Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities.
In total, more than 20 strikes were launched on the area. In Marhanets, three civilians were injured due to artillery fire — a 78-year-old woman and two men aged 26 and 64. All received necessary medical assistance.
The shelling caused several fires and damaged infrastructure, including:
- 2 multi-story buildings
- 1 educational facility
- 11 private homes
- 5 outbuildings
- 1 greenhouse
- 1 unused building
- multiple vehicles
- power lines and a gas pipeline
In addition, Russian forces launched drone attacks on Ilarionivka and Velykomykhailivka communities in Synelnykove district, injuring a 41-year-old woman and damaging a multi-story residential building.
According to updated reports, a private home was damaged in Mezhova community as a result of a night-time attack.
Vinnytsia oblast
A new memorial website titled “Living Memory of Vinnytsia” has been launched in the community to honor fallen Heroes. The platform provides comprehensive information and personal stories about those who gave their lives for Ukraine.

According to Mayor Serhii Morgunov, the website includes extensive functionality — allowing family members and friends to contribute memories, awards, photos, and video materials dedicated to the fallen soldiers.
The initiative ensures that the bravery and sacrifice of defenders from Vinnytsia will be preserved and remembered by future generations.
Kirovohrad oblast
Last night in Kirovohrad region, Ukrainian air defense forces repelled another Russian drone attack. Several drones were shot down. Debris from one of the downed UAVs caused a fire in a field in the Ustynivka community, where wheat burned across an area of 200 square meters. The fire was extinguished. Another drone crashed into a private yard in the Katerynivka community, but no injuries were reported. The update was provided by regional head Andrii Raikovych.
Meanwhile, a Ukrainian defender from the village of Krynychuvatka in the Ustynivka community, Kropyvnytskyi district, Yurii Bosovych, has been imprisoned for more than 2.5 years in one of the penal colonies of the so-called “Luhansk People’s Republic.” He was captured in 2022 during a combat mission and was illegally sentenced to 16 years in prison by an “LPR court.” Although his name is on the prisoner exchange lists, he has not yet been returned to Ukraine, according to his sister, Viktoriia Derebchynska.
In the Pomichna community of Novoukrainka district, residents said farewell to Serhii Sudakov, a Ukrainian defender killed in the war with Russia. He went missing in action on May 22, 2025, during a mission near the village of Shcherbaky, Zaporizhzhia region. His death was later confirmed through identification, and a farewell ceremony was held on July 15.
Poltava oblast
In Poltava, roof repairs and the restoration of a children’s playground will begin first on Balenka Street, where residential buildings were damaged by shelling on February 1.
The structural restoration of the buildings will begin later, once a design and cost estimate is developed. This was reported by city council member Vadym Yamshchykov.
Meanwhile, the Lubny community is preparing to say goodbye to Dmytro Kozachenko, a Ukrainian soldier who died in hospital from injuries sustained earlier.
He was a veteran of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) and served in 2014 with the “Poltava” special forces battalion.
Cherkasy oblast
In Cherkasy region, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down three Shahed drones. No infrastructure damage or casualties were reported, according to regional governor Ihor Taburets.
In Cherkasy city, military personnel were honored with awards from the Regional Military Administration, Regional Council, and City Hall in recognition of Ukrainian Statehood Day.
In the village of Kapustyne, Shpola community, a memorial plaque was unveiled in honor of fallen soldier Ivan Lysenko, who was killed on January 31, 2024.
In the Zvenyhorodka district, a farewell ceremony will be held for 37-year-old Roman Rakyta, a soldier from an assault battalion who died on November 17, 2023, near the village of Klishchiivka in Donetsk region.
Another soldier from the Shpola area, Serhii Lysenko, was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage,” 3rd Class. The award was presented to his mother.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that russian forces attacked 1 of the regions of Zaporizhzhia, causing windows to be shattered in an apartment building as a result of a UAV strike on the regional centre. There were no injuries reported.
A 60-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man were injured during a russian artillery strike on Huliaipole.
Regina Kharchenko, Secretary of the City Council, a 13-hour air raid alert was in effect in Zaporizhzhia and the oblast due to the threat of UAV strikes.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 2 russian assaults on Orikhiv region on 14 July, with clashes occurring near Kamianske.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 14 July, the russian military conducted 492 attacks on 10 towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast, including 368 drone strikes (mostly FPV drones) targeting Zaporizhzhia, Nahorne, Kamianske, Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Malynivka and Charivne.
Mykolaiv oblast
Vitalii Kim, Head of the RMA, reported that a 69-year-old man was injured and hospitalised following a russian missile strike on Ochakiv. A fire broke out in dry grass outside the city and emergency services responded.
According to the RMA, during the night of 15 July, Shahed drones attacked Mykolaiv oblast. Falling debris damaged 2 private houses and an outbuilding in Pervomaisk region.
In Voznesensk region, infrastructure was damaged in another attack, causing a fire. There were no casualties reported.
On 14 July, russian FPV drones targeted Kutsurub community. There were no casualties reported.
Odesa oblast
Referring to the Southern Air Command, on 14 July, russia launched an Iskander-M ballistic missile at Odesa oblast.
Based on the information provided by the Air Defence Forces of Ukraine, in the evening, a russian reconnaissance UAV was detected over the Black Sea near Odesa and air defence systems were deployed.
Another reconnaissance drone was detected early in the morning, flying toward Chornomorske from the Black Sea, and Ukrainian air defence was activated.
Kherson oblast
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, as of 7pm, 4 civilians were reported injured due to russian attacks in Kherson oblast, all of whom were hospitalised. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged. Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
Kherson City Military Administration reported that a 57-year-old man was hospitalised after being injured during a rassian morning shelling in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. He sustained a blast injury and shrapnel wounds.
The SES reported that over the past day, 10 fires broke out due to russian shelling. Private homes, an apartment, structures, vehicles and dry vegetation caught fire. All blazes were extinguished by emergency services.
According to the RMA, in the morning, a russian UAV strike in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson left 2 women injured with blast and shrapnel wounds.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, overnight, 3 Shahed-131/136 drones were shot down by Ukrainian air defence over Kherson oblast.
The RMA reported that russian troops attacked a medical facility in Bilozirka overnight. Windows, the roof, facade and medical offices were damaged.
A 75-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman were injured when russian troops dropped explosives on a vehicle near Kherson. Both suffered blast injuries, concussions and shrapnel wounds and were hospitalised.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, said that on 14 July, 2 civilians were killed and 18 injured in Kherson oblast due to russian attacks on 43 settlements. Damaged property included 2 high-rise buildings, 12 private houses, a farm, agricultural equipment and ambulance vehicles.

Volyn oblast
A fishing trip for veterans was held in Kivertsivska community. It was not just a fishing trip, but a real day of support, communication, and unity. The event was organized on the initiative of veteran support specialist Volodymyr Slabovych with the assistance of Kivertsiysk City Council, council employees and elders of the starostyn districts, and employees of community clubs.
Zakarpattia oblast
Uzhhorod City Council reported that over 100 services for internally displaced persons living in Uzhhorod were provided by employees of the Center for Administrative Services using the special Mobile Case complex.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk community sent 9 electronic warfare systems to four military units thanks to the Participatory Budget.
Lviv oblast
During the event Embroidery in Huta, organized by military personnel undergoing rehabilitation at the Huta Shchyretska ranch, students and employees of Hrushkiv social institution raised over UAH 1.6m, which will be directed to support the State Special Transport Service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Over UAH 165,000 were raised for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during 2 charity concerts at Lviv Philharmonic.
Residents of the village of Shklo raised UAH 339,000 during the Easter Festivities charity event. UAH 450,000 were raised for defender Mykola Shot during a charity race in Novoiavorivsk.
A charity concert for local youth was held in Sokal, organized by the Tbteam Sokal youth community, which operates under the Caritas-Sokal Charitable Foundation. The event raised UAH 13,456.
Rivne oblast
The 1st folklore festival Cherry Hill was held in the Horodot community. The artistic event brought together community residents, guests from different oblasts of Ukraine, and representatives of creative groups from Rivne, Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi oblast. The funds raised during the festival were used to purchase a car for a defender from Obariv, who defends Ukraine on the front lines.
Ternopil oblast
As part of the program Support for Families of Heroes, families of fallen servicemen from Ternopil rested in the Bukovel tourist complex. The event was organized under the coordination of the Department of Family, Youth Policy and Child Protection in cooperation with the Light of the Reformation Charitable Foundation and the Bread of Life Church.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The military received 2 SUVs. One of the vehicles will be used to perform combat missions on the front line, the other to provide logistics for the units.
Chernivtsi oblast
Chernivtsi plans to upgrade its trolleybus fleet with funds from the European Investment Bank. Tender documentation for the purchase of new trolleybuses for the city has already been published on the bank’s official website.
