What happened in Ukraine today:
Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 4 pm:
Ukraine’s defence forces are holding back the offensive of the russian occupiers. Terrorists continue to destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with missile, air and artillery strikes.
The defence forces are taking the necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. So far, 88 combat engagements have taken place.
Today, the communities of Novenke, Novodmytrivka, Buniakyne in Sumy oblast and Lohy in Chernihiv oblast suffered from enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
Towards Kharkiv, there was one firefight near Hlyboke.
Towards Kupiansk, russian invaders attacked Ukrainian defence forces ten times near Holubivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Zelenyi Hai, Zahryzove, Kruhliakivka, Pershotravneve and Lozova.
Towards Lyman, the invading army launched seven attacks on Ukrainian positions near Katerynivka, Druzheliubivka, Nevske, Terny and Torske. The enemy launched airstrikes with unguided missiles near Serebrianka forest.
The enemy troops are trying to find weaknesses in our defences near Verkhnokamianske towards Siversk. Two combat engagements were completed without success for the enemy.
Chasiv Yar towards Kramatorsk was hit by an airstrike with a single guided bomb.
Towards Toretsk, our defenders repelled four enemy assaults near Dyliivka, Toretsk and Shcherbynivka.
Towards Pokrovsk, the russian invaders made 14 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near Promin, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Pushkine, Zhovte and Pustynka. The defence forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled eight enemy attacks, with six combat engagements still ongoing.
Towards Kurakhove, the enemy army attacked 25 times towards Berestky, Sontsivka, Illinka, Novoselydivka, Zoria, Dalne and Kostiantynivka. Eighteen attempts by the occupiers to advance have already been repelled. In addition, the enemy dropped four guided aerial bombs on Romanivka and Dachne.
Towards Vremivka, the enemy tried to break through the defences of our defenders eight times near Trudove, Yantarne, Rivne, Novodarivka, and dropped 15 guided aerial bombs on Temyrivka, Sukhi Yaly, Velyka Novosilka and Shevchenko.
The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions towards Huliaipole.
Towards Orikhiv, the occupation forces stormed the positions of the Defence Forces twice near Novodanylivka.
Towards Kherson, the enemy was defeated, attacking Ukrainian defensive lines twice.
In other areas, the situation remained unchanged.
Kateryna Levchenko, Government Commissioner for Gender Policy and Chair of the project’s Supervisory Board, reported that more than 300 Ukrainians have received payments under the Interim Reparations Project for sexual violence. As of 14 November, 535 applications for interim reparations have already been received – this number changes every week.
The press service of the South Ukrainian NPP said that preparatory work is underway at South Ukrainian NPP to build two power units using Westinghouse’s AP1000 technology. A geodetic report on the selection of a site for the construction of these facilities has already been developed and geological studies have been carried out.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
The General Staff reported that the Armed Forces repelled 85 attacks towards Pokrovsk and Kurakhove.
Towards Pokrovsk, the Armed Forces stopped 40 attacks. Also russian troops tried to advance near Sukha Balka, Promin, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Hryhorivka, Dachenske, Myroliubivka, Petrivka, Novooleksiivka and Pustynka.
Defence forces continue to hold back russian units towards Kurakhove. Near the settlements of Berestky, Illinka, Novoselydivka, Sontsovka, Kreminna Balka, Voznesenka, Novodmytrivka, Maksymilianivka, Dalne, Antonivka and Katerynivka, the occupiers tried to break through Ukrainian defensive lines 45 times.
Kharkiv oblast
Towards Kharkiv, there was one firefight near Hlyboke. As of 4pm, the General Staff reported that towards Kupiansk, russian invaders attacked the Ukrainian defence forces 10 times near Holubivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Zelenyi Hai, Zahryzove, Kruhliakivka, Pershotravneve and Lozova.
At 12:30pm, russians attacked Kharkiv. A Molniia-1 UAV hit an apartment building. 10 cars were damaged and 4 people injured.
At 11:30am, russians attacked Kharkiv. A drone explosion damaged 13 cars in a car park.
At 3:35pm, russians attacked Kupiansk. An FPV drone hit a car. A 67-year-old driver of a primary healthcare unit was injured. Another hit was made to a private residential area. A 49-year-old civilian man was wounded.
At 9am, russia attackded Zahryzove village of Borova community, Izium region.
A private house and an outbuilding were damaged as a result of shelling.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy conducted eight offensive and assault actions near Vovchansk and Vysoka Yaruha.
The number of combat engagements reached 12 towards Kupiansk. Ukrainian defence forces repelled the enemy attacks near Lozova, Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Kruhliakivka and Pershotravneve.
The General Staff said that yesterday’s attempt by russians, some of whom were wearing Ukrainian Armed Forces uniforms, to break through the defences in the Kupiansk sector continued as they advanced into the industrial zone on the left bank of Kupiansk. A sabotage and reconnaissance group of the russian army on armoured vehicles that attempted to enter Kupiansk on 13 November was eliminated. Currently, the territory is being cleared and the remains of russian soldiers are being identified. Kupiansk is now under the full control of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
Families with children were ordered to evacuate 28 settlements of Borova community and all adults were ordered to evacuate 10 settlements.
During the day, 92 people were evacuated from Kupiansk and Borova direvtions.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that the Molniia UAV, which was first used by russians to attack Kharkiv on 12 November, is powered by electricity and made of lightweight materials that do not detect radar devices.
Kharkiv oblast has received 23 Tesla Powerwall systems for medical facilities. The new equipment is the result of cooperation between Kharkiv Regional Military Administration and the Power for Health project of the Yevhen Pivovarov Charitable Foundation with the support of Direct Relief (USA), the Government of Poland, the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Halyna Turbaba reported that due to the escalation of the situation towards Kupiansk, the supply of humanitarian aid to Dvorichna community is under threat. About a thousand people remain in 28 settlements of the community, the remaining 27 are currently under rissian occupation. The pace of evacuation, communication with the occupied territories and the situation in Dvorichna.
Donetsk oblast
Orest Drymalovskyi, Spokesman of the 79th Brigade, which holds Kurakhove axis, reported that the Defence forces continue to hold the line on the frontline southeast of Kurakhove. Russian troops are constantly storming and conducting up to ten airstrikes a day on the defenders’ positions.
StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the village of Illinka is under Ukrainian control.
Vadym Liakh, Head of the CMA, informed that in the morning of 14 November, two explosions occurred in Sloviansk. The shelling damaged apartment buildings, administrative buildings of the pedagogical university, a kindergarten, a supermarket and private cars.
During the shelling of Sloviansk, a crew of patrol policemen was hit. One patrol policeman was injured in the leg. He is currently under medical supervision. The patrol car was also damaged. No one among the residents was injured.
Russians killed two civilians in Donetsk oblast, eight more injured overnight. Police recorded 3,038 hostile attacks along the frontline and in the residential sector.
11 settlements were under attack: Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Udachne, Shevchenko, Novotroitske, Predtechyne and Shevchenko. 63 civilian objects, including 41 residential buildings, were damaged.
Pokrovsk CMA reported that a family was travelling in the car that was hit by a drone in Novotroitske village and as a result, the son was killed on the spot, the mother and father injured.
The enemy shelled Shevchenko village with Smerch multiple rocket launchers, killing one person and injuring another, and damaging the administrative building.
Kostiantynivka was attacked by russian troops with three FAB-250 aerial bombs and artillery, injuring four civilians. 26 private houses, an administrative building, an enterprise, 4 power lines, 2 gas pipelines and 2 civilian cars were damaged.
In Predtechyne, a man was injured in a shelling and a private house was damaged.
Russia dropped three UMPB D30SN bombs on Mykolaivka, damaging three apartment buildings and an infrastructure facility.
Kramatorsk was hit by two FAB-250 bombs with an UMPK module, damaging 8 private houses and an infrastructure facility.
In Druzhkivka, a UAV strike damaged a private house, a minibus and a gas pipeline.
In Pokrovsk, a drone hit damaged a private house.
Luhansk oblast
Towards Lyman, the enemy stormed our positions near Novokiehorivka. The enemy attack was supported by aviation. Unguided aerial missiles struck Novoiehorivka and Serhiivka. The occupiers fired at Makiivka and Balka Zhuravtsi from artillery pieces. They used 38 unmanned aerial vehicles in this area. Of these, 28 were used near Makiivka.
In Luhansk, the russians will build a training ground to teach young people how to operate UAVs. It is planned to be opened on the basis of the Warrior military sports training centre, which has been operating in the city since 2024. Over this time, more than 500 boys and girls have completed the relevant courses, and another 300 are continuing their studies. Children and teenagers undergo military training, learn tactical medicine skills and operate drones. A practical part of the training is also organised, during which young people launch models of unmanned aerial vehicles and perform tasks at equipped sites. A special training ground will be opened to expand training opportunities.
During the demonstration repairs in Siverskodonetsk, not only valuables and furniture are stolen from the apartments of the residents. In several high-rise buildings, the builders have completely cut out the heating systems in the bathrooms. They believe that this should relieve the district heating system if the buildings are connected to it.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The delegation of the Military Conscription and Recruitment Service of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Lithuania headed by the Director Arunas Balčonas visited Kyiv City Military Administration. The purpose of the meeting was to familiarise Lithuanian colleagues with the main functions and tasks assigned to KCMA, as well as to exchange experience in implementing key areas of activity in the field of defence and security.
The Hansen Mission in Ukraine and Philips will help Kyiv oblast with the rehabilitation of victims of russian aggression. Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, informed that a memorandum to this effect was signed on the sidelines of the 4th international exhibition and conference ReBuild Ukraine Construction & Energy in Warsaw. The Memorandum provides for the development, support and implementation of measures and projects to provide medical care and rehabilitation to the population affected by the armed aggression of the russian Federation.
A mobile rehabilitation module for physical and psychological recovery was opened in Obukhiv. This is the third such space in Ukraine and the second in Kyiv oblast. The inclusive module is equipped with high-quality rehabilitation equipment. It will help people affected by the russian invasion, female and male veterans, their families and civilians.
In Borodianka, UNITED24 has restored an apartment building destroyed by russians in March 2022 as a result of constant shelling. UNDP provided technical supervision over the reconstruction of the apartment building. This is the fourth building to be restored by UNITED24 in oblast. In total, 18 apartment buildings and 3 educational institutions will be restored.
A medical facility in Darnytskyi district has completed a major overhaul of its shelter. It is designed to comfortably accommodate 200 people – employees, visitors and local residents. The premises are equipped with an alternative power source, airtight doors, ventilation, video surveillance and warning systems. The repairs were carried out at the expense of Kyiv city budget.
The School Feeding Coalition held its first European Regional Summit in Kyiv on 12-13 November. The event brought together Ukrainian and European officials, experts and civil society activists to work together to strengthen school feeding programmes. Kyiv oblast presented the results of the reform and new projects at the summit.
Ukrzaliznytsia announced that a Underground Stand-up charity will be held in a Kyiv train to raise funds for case packs and electronic warfare equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Among the invited guests are Vasyl Baidak, Kateryna Fedorkova, Svyat Zahaykevych and Oleksandr Zhypetskyi.
Zhytomyr oblast
The second wave of the Razom programme for training and employment of female and male veterans and their families has been launched in Zhytomyr oblast. This is a project implemented by the National Energy Company Ukrenerho jointly with the Ukrainian Veterans Fund with the support of Lobby X and Veteran Hub. The programme participants will be able to learn a competitive profession from scratch and find a job at NPC Ukrenergo.
On 13 November, Zhytomyr hosted the Community Day “Resilience Diaries of Zhytomyr residents”. The event brought together 360 participants. Its main goal was to teach people to take care of their mental health through such forms of therapy as writing and expressing their thoughts.
A Made in Ukraine office was opened in Berdychiv to support Ukrainian entrepreneurs. The event was part of a national policy aimed at strengthening national production and supporting small and medium-sized businesses.
Sumy oblast
During night and morning, russians carried out 4 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 4 explosions. The attacks targeted Sumy, Yunakivka, Velyka Pysarivka communities.
On 13 November, russians carried out 68 shelling attacks on border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast, resulting in 175 explosions. The attacks targeted Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropilia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Shalyhyne, Esman, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorod communities.
Bilopillia community: the enemy fired by mortars (12 explosions), FPV-drones (10 explosions), dropped a VOG from a UAV (1 explosion).
Khotin community: VOG was dropped from a UAV (9 explosions), an airstrike by KAB (1 explosion), artillery fire (40 explosions), mortar fire (5 explosions), an FPV-drone strike (1 explosion). As a result of shelling, a car was damaged.
Yunakivka community: the russians attacked by KAB (1 explosion), artillery (7 explosions), and MLPS (20 explosions).
Seredyna-Buda community: hit by FPV-drones (8 explosions). As a result of the hit, the shop was damaged.
Krasnopillia community: the enemy hit by artillery (8 explosions), mortars (7 explosions), FPV-drones (3 explosions) and dropped VOG from a UAV (1 explosion).
Myropilia community: artillery shelling (9 explosions), FPV-drone strikes (2 explosions), VOG drop from UAV (1 explosion). As a result of the shelling, two civilians were injured, and a car was damaged.
Putyvl community: artillery shelling (14 explosions), an FPV-drone strike (1 explosion) was recorded.
Znob-Novhorod community: hit by an FPV-drone (1 explosion), mortar shelling (2 explosions)
Velyka Pysarivka community: airstrikes by KAB (3 explosions), strikes by FPV-drones (3 explosions).
Esman community: there was mortar shelling (2 explosions), an FPV-drone strike (2 explosions). As a result of shelling, a private residential building was damaged.
Shalyhyne community: an FPV-drone strike was recorded (1 explosion).
According to Sumy City Council’s Department of Social Protection, residents of Sumy community whose homes were damaged or destroyed due to shelling can receive food packages, with one package provided per family. This assistance is being offered as humanitarian aid from Global Empowerment Mission Ukraine.
Chernihiv oblast
According to Chernihiv Regional Police, on 13 November, russian forces attacked a border village in Chernihiv oblast by a drone. As a result, an uninhabited private house caught fire. No reports of injuries have been received.
During the day the russian army attacked four border communities in Chernihiv oblast, using FPV-drones, drops from UAVs, barrel artillery, and mortars.
Novhorod-Siverskyi community:
6 explosions, probably by a 120mm mortar, near Dibrova village.
Semenivka community:
1 explosion, probably the dropping of an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle in the area of Mykolaivka village;
2 explosions, probably by an FPV-drone, in Leonivka village;
10 explosions, probably by barrel artillery in the area of Khotiivka village;
3 explosions, probably by an FPV drone, in the village of Hremiachka;
5 explosions, probably by FPV-drone in Mkhy village;
1 explosion, probably dropping an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle in the area of Halahanivka village;
2 explosions, probably by an FPV-drone in Semenivka.
Snovsk community:
6 explosions, probably dropping an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle in the area of Hirsk village.
Horodnia community:
3 explosions, probably dropping an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle in the area of Polissya village;
7 explosions, probably by a 120mm mortar, and two explosions, probably by the dropping of an explosive device from an unmanned aerial vehicle in the area of Senkivka village.
No casualties or injuries among the local population were reported as a result of the shelling.
According to Nizhyn City Council, in the apartments of a two-story residential building on the outskirts of Nizhyn, damaged by a Shahed drone strike in July 2024, windows have been installed, and roof repairs are nearing completion. Currently, damaged interior walls and doors are being dismantled.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of the RMA, reported that throughout the day, russian forces attacked Nikopol region multiple times, by kamikaze drones and Grad missile artillery. Strikes hit the regional centre and Myrove and Marhanets communities. In Nikopol, a 51-year-old woman was injured and received necessary medical assistance. 2 private houses, infrastructure and a power line were damaged. Zelenodolsk community in Kryvyi Rih region was also hit by a drone, damaging local infrastructure.
In Kryvyi Rih, there was a tribute to the family who were killed on 11 November by the russian attack. The funeral procession passed by the school of 10-year-old Kyrylo, where the last bell rang for him.
Vinnytsia oblast
From Vinnytsia oblast, military aid was delivered to Artan, including 200 FPV drones, 20 night-vision Mavic 3T drones and 2 fully equipped tactical medical backpacks.
Poltava oblast
A memorial service was held in Poltava for 2 soldiers, Yevhenii Plish and Mykhailo Nardid, who were killed defending Ukraine from russian invasion.
Cherkasy oblast
In Cherkasy, defenders who were killed in the russian-Ukrainian war, Vladyslav Henkel and Vasyl Mykhno, were paid tribute. They were 24 and 44 years old.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, informed that russian forces struck settlements of Zaporizhzhia oblast 3 times. One strike destroyed a village council building and nearby houses were damaged by the blast wave and debris. There were no casualties reported.
According to the General Staff’s morning briefing, the Ukrainian Defence Forces in Orikhiv axis repelled 3 russian attacks near Novodanylivka and Novoandriivka.
On 13 November, russian forces launched 410 attacks on 10 cities and villages of Zaporizhzhia oblast, including 142 artillery strikes on Lobkove, Prymorske, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilohiria and Novodarivka. There were no casualties reported.

Mykolaiv oblast
Vitalii Kim, Head of the RMA, reported that on 13 November, at 10:25am, 10:59am and 12:17pm, russian forces attacked Kutsurub community by FPV drones. There were no casualties or injuries reported.
Odesa oblast
According to the Ukrainian Navy, as of the morning of 14 November, russia has not deployed any ships with Kalibr cruise missiles on combat duty in the Black Sea. No russian ships are present in the Azov Sea either. However, 2 russian ships are in the Mediterranean Sea, one of which is equipped with Kalibr missiles with a capacity for up to 8 missiles.
Kherson oblast
According to the RMA, russian forces dropped explosives from a drone in Veletenske, injuring a 59-year-old man with abdominal wounds.
The russian forces attacked suburb of Kherson, Kindiika, by a drone, injuring a 46-year-old man.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, stated that on 13 November, 15 people were injured due to russian shelling in Kherson oblast. The russian forces targeted 19 communities, hitting a utility company and a local fire department. A high-rise building, 7 private houses, an ambulance and several cars were damaged.

Volyn oblast
Lutsk community sent received a Sinytsia 3.5 electronic warfare device, a DJI Mavic 3T quadcopter, 2 DJI Mavic 3 PRO quadcopters, a Starlink satellite modem, a DK3500iA inverter generator, 5 Raptor 8 unmanned aerial vehicles and 5 FPV multi-rotor UAVs to the Military Unit A 4788.
The final stage of the Strong Spirit’s Games veteran competition was recently held in Madrid, Spain. To participate in it, Ukraine has prepared the largest national team consisting of 50 veterans. Competing against teams from the USA, Estonia, Ireland and the Netherlands, they won the most awards. Representatives of Lutsk community brought 6 medals from Spain.
Zakarpattia oblast
A round table was held in Uzhhorod, where important steps to help families of missing soldiers were discussed. They discussed the algorithm for processing genomic information for the identification of missing servicemen, for whom their relatives have been waiting for so long.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Prykarpattia continues to accept children from the front-line regions for rehabilitation and recreation. 42 young residents of Kherson oblast will be hosted by one of the health facilities of Kosiv region. The children will stay in the oblast for 24 days. All this time they will be accompanied by responsible persons and medical workers.
Lviv oblast
In memory of Oleh Diakiv and Roman Zasanskyi, two fallen graduates of Drohobych State Pedagogical University named after Franko, memorial tables were installed in the university. Oleh Diakiv and Roman Zasanskyi served in the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade of Halicia. Oleh Diakiv was killed on 19 July 2022 in Bakhmut. Roman Zasanskyi was killed on 16 May 2022.
Rivne oblast
Another group of children from Rivne oblast was sent to recuperate. 70 children went to Artek centres in Kyiv and Zakarpattia oblasts. They are from families of combatants, war missing and killed, IDPs, low-income families, orphans, children deprived of parental care. In total, this year, 608 children from the oblast had the opportunity to improve their health in Artek centres during 10 shifts.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil community sent machinery and equipment worth UAH 1.6m, namely, charging stations and laptops, to the military thanks to the budget funds.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community sent 15 DJI Mavic 3T Thermal quadcopters worth UAH 2,3m to the Defense Forces thanks to the budget funds.
Chernivtsi oblast
Kira Melnychuk, student of the AIDA media studio of Chernivtsi regional center of scientific and technical creativity of students, presented the film at the International Children’s Film Festival. From 31 October to 6 November, the KINEKO International Film Festival largest Asian film festival for children and teenagers took place in Tokyo. She showed the audience the Ukrainian film Broken Childhood, created by students of the AIDA media studio during the war.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The 6th IRIS-T air defence system from Germany will arrive in Ukraine by the end of this year. In addition, the country has banned ports from accepting tankers with russian gas.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, had a phone conversation with Olaf Scholz, Chancellor of Germany. They discussed the supply of the air defence in the coming year and the prospects of additional assistance with the air defence from Germany.
On 12-13 November, Kyiv hosted the 1st European regional school nutrition summit. The event, initiated by the Office of the First Lady, brought together about 500 participants from Ukraine and Europe. The summit became an important stage on the way to Ukraine’s integration into global initiatives to create healthy and balanced nutrition conditions in schools.
