Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Towards Kharkiv, the occupiers are trying to put pressure on Ukrainian units in the vicinity of Vysoka Yaruga, where fighting is currently underway, and russian forces stormed the positions of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk, where three attacks are ongoing.

The General Staff reported that towards Kupiansk, the occupiers stormed positions in the vicinity of Kolisnykivka, Kopanky and Nadiia five times. Four firefights are still ongoing.

62 people were evacuated from Kupiansk and Borova.

Yurii Fedorenko, Achilles battalion of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, says that on 13 November, the russians drove in a tank with a trawl and two armoured personnel carriers with infantry, taking advantage of poor visibility due to fog. The occupiers entered a residential area, but the tank, both armoured personnel carriers and all the assault infantry were destroyed by the defense forces. According to the battalion commander, the occupiers have a task to capture Kupiansk and Kupiansk-Kuzlovyi by the New Year.

The Army of the Republic of Lithuania will learn from the defense experience of Kharkiv oblast. Representatives of the RMA met with experts of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and discussed important aspects of defense: protection of settlements, holding the borders and evacuation of civilians.

Donetsk oblast

Volodymyr Proskunin, Deputy Head of  Mykolaivka RMA, reports that at 17:35, russian troops shelled the town of Mykolaivka in Donetsk oblast. A warehouse in the industrial zone was destroyed. Two vehicles were damaged. No one was injured or killed in the shelling.

Anastasia Medviedieva, Spokeswoman for the regional Prosecutor’s Office, on 15 November, at 12:30am, russian troops shelled the town of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk oblast, probably with artillery. As a result, a 40-year-old man was wounded.

Oleksandr Zhuravlev, Head of Lyman RMA, after 11am, russian troops shelled the town of Lyman in Donetsk oblast with guided aerial bombs. No one was injured or killed as a result. There are 4,200 residents in the town, including one child, whose parents refuse to leave.

Mykola Yakovlev, Head of Novodmitrivka starosta district, in the morning, the russian army shelled Novodmitrivka of Konstantinovka community. The village was hit by three multiple rocket launchers, 12 residential buildings, three administrative buildings, including the village council, were damaged. There is no electricity or gas supply. No one was killed or injured.

The police recorded 2,940 enemy attacks on the frontline and residential areas. The attacks affected 13 settlements: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, Toretsk, the villages of Shevchenko, Shcherbynivka, Vovkove, Leonidivka, Mykolaivka, Romanivka, and Shevchenko.

Three civilian vehicles were damaged in Pokrovsk as a result of a drone strike.

In addition, information was received about civilians who were injured earlier on November 13: a person was killed by a russian drone strike in Hannivka, and four people were injured in Kurakhove.

More than three hundred residents remain in the Chasiv Yar community. This is almost a hundred people less than it was in early November. Evacuations continue from the community. Every day it becomes even more dangerous, because it is no longer possible to enter the city because of the drones and roads. Recently, the russian army has become more active with such a very dangerous topic as anti-personnel landmines “Butterflies” and they are scattered around the city.

The Skeiron project has launched a virtual exposition of the Museum of Stolen Art, which is filled with the cultural heritage of Mariupol: the drama theater, stained glass windows of the Markokhim Palace of Culture, mosaics, paintings by Arkhip Kuindzhi and elements of the expositions of the Mariupol Museum of Local Lore.

Luhansk oblast

On 15 November, the invaders stormed the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Balka Zhuravka. During the attacks towards Lyman, the occupiers were supported by attack and bomber aircraft. The enemy struck at Serebrianka forest with unguided aircraft missiles. The enemy fired at Makiivka and Balka Zhuravka with cannon artillery. They sent 47 drones toward these villages, 34 of which were in the vicinity of Makiivka.

There is only one way to get to the territory of the so-called “luhansk people’s republic” from outside russia – through Moscow airport. There, everyone is subjected to lengthy filtration – interrogations, checks of documents and all gadgets. A large majority of people do not pass these checks. In addition, recently, FSB officers began to warn all men about the urgent military registration and ask them to agree to sign a contract with the russian army. The personal data of those who refuse are entered into a separate list.

Before the full-scale invasion, Starobilsk residents, like other residents of the free Luhansk oblast, received hundreds of public services either online or within minutes at the ASC. In the russian-occupied territories, digitalization is only on paper. And the more papers, the better. So, to get a certificate of family composition, an extract from the relevant register is not enough. To confirm the number of people living at the address, you need to bring neighbours who must certify this in writing, unless, of course, they want to help for free.

In the so-called “lpr”, russians have increased the number of military drills. In particular, the invaders are teaching children to fly UAVs. In Luhansk, they will build a special training ground for young people on the basis of the ‘warrior’ military training center. The personal data of young men studying in the 10th and 11th grades should be transferred to Russian military enlistment offices by the primary schools of the occupied region. Teachers in “lpr” schools advertise to children to sign a contract with the russian army. They also work with parents.

Roman Vlasenko, Head of Siverskodonetsk Regional Military Administration, says that the occupiers failed to restore order with the centralized heating in the city. They are trying to save the situation by installing modular boilers. There are seven payphones in Sieverskodonetsk, which can be used to call emergency services and landlines in the city. There is no mobile phone service in or around the city. The only people who stayed in Siverskodonetsk were those who wanted to return to the USSR and the russians who arrived.
