The so-called “luhansk people’s republic” has found a way to counteract road accidents, the number of which is constantly growing. Many of them are caused by the lawlessness of the russian military, who move around the settlements, disregarding any traffic rules, because they are sure that they will not be punished even in case of fatalities. In addition, traffic lights do not work in the frontline towns seized in 2022. For instance, in Sieverskodonetsk, the first traffic light is promised to be repaired only in 2026. However, it was decided to reduce the number of traffic violations with the help of representatives of the russian Orthodox Church. It was they who invited law enforcement officers to the “road moleben” to “sanctify the ways of human life” – the main highways and intersections of Luhansk. They hope it will work.

In Sieverskodonetsk and Lysychansk, there is a shortage of pension specialists. In addition, it takes too long to receive and process documents there. As a result, huge queues form in these cities. In particular, they have stopped issuing appointment cards because everything is booked up until the end of December. People are waiting in “live” queues for January. The first half of November was long.
