The situation at the front remains difficult. The enemy, using its superiority in manpower and equipment, with the support of aviation, is intensively attacking our positions. Ukrainian defenders are holding back the onslaught and inflicting maximum losses on the enemy.
Over the day, there were 130 combat engagements. In total, the enemy launched 2 missile and 65 airstrikes, fired 74 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and settlements. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
Also russian occupants continue to terrorise the civilian population of Sumy oblast. Today, the invaders launched an airstrike near Dmytrivka.
Towards Kharkiv, the number of hostile attacks increased to 14. The fighting continued near Lyptsi, Vovchansk and Neskuchne. The invaders’ losses in the area today amounted to about 120 russian servicemen and 23 pieces of weapons and military equipment.
Towards Kupiansk, 20 combat engagements were registered, specifically near Synkivka, Berestove and Miasozharivka.
Towards Siversk, russian troops launched 9 attacks near Spirne, Ivan-Darivka, Verkhnokamianske and Rozdolivka.
Towards Kramatorsk, the enemy became more active. The number of enemy attacks increased significantly to 21.
The intensity of hostilities remains high towards Pokrovsk. The enemy continues to launch airstrikes, specifically near Umanske, Novoselivka Persha and Zhelanne. They used combat aircraft 16 times and also engaged KAB bombs. In total, there were 40 enemy attacks on Ukrainian positions in this sector today. Most of them were near Novooleksandrivka, Netailove and Soloviove.
Towards Kurakhove, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully repelled 9 enemy attacks. The enemy is concentrating its efforts near Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka and Krasnohorivka.
Towards Prydniprovskyi, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defenders 5 times near Krynky, without success.
There were no significant changes in the situation towards Lyman, Toretsk, Vremivka, Huliaipole and Orikhove.
The defence forces are responding adequately to the invaders’ actions and are taking the necessary measures to stabilise the situation.
According to the State Emergency Service, almost 7,000 residents have already been evacuated from the border settlements in Kharkiv oblast. The population is constantly being notified of the need to evacuate from the border settlements. Joint efforts have already evacuated more than 6,700 residents, including 535 children and 128 people with limited mobility.
Ukraine has returned six more children from the occupied Kherson oblast. A girl and 5 boys aged 5 to 12 have been rescued from the camps of the russian invaders.
The first cotton fields have been sown in Ukraine to prepare for gunpowder production. Experts from the Ukrainian Institute of Plant Variety Expertise have sown the first fields with five experimental cotton varieties in Odesa oblast. Cotton cellulose is used to produce gunpowder. Its demand for Ukraine is estimated at 10,000 tons. To do this, 30,000 hectares need to be sown.
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fighting continues on the outskirts of Vovchansk. Towards Kharkiv, the invaders attacked 13 times. Specifically, they attacked in Hlyboke – Lyptsi, Shebekino (russia) – Vovchansk, Borysivka – Neskuchne. The enemy also launched 8 airstrikes. Fighting is ongoing on the outskirts of Vovchansk. Towards Kupiansk, the russian military launched an airstrike near Serhiivka and 9 combat engagements were recorded. Three of them are ongoing.
British intelligence believes that Vovchansk, a border town in Kharkiv oblast, is most likely to be the direct target of the russian offensive. The British Ministry of Defence said in a statement that at the same time, russia has no chance of capturing Kharkiv. According to analysts, by opening an additional frontline, russia is trying to distract the Ukrainian Defence Forces from other parts of the front line and endanger Kharkiv.
Oleksandr Lytvynenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, stated to Le Figaro that russia has deployed about 50,000 russian soldiers in northeastern Ukraine: much more than 30,000 invaders are involved in the offensive in Kharkiv oblast. At the same time, the NSDC secretary assured that Kharkiv is ‘not in danger’ and the Ukrainian army is ready to repel the attacks.
Yurii Fedorenko, Commander of the 92nd Separate Brigade Battalion, said in the marathon that heavy fighting is going on at the border, but the situation is almost controlled.
Tamaz Hambarashvili, Head of Vovchansk administration, said that the situation is consistently difficult as russians are shelling the city using aircraft, artillery, mortars, MRLs and russian drones are flying over the city. As of the morning, there was no information about new cases of injuries or deaths of civilians. According to him, as of 14 May, there are up to 400 people in Vovchansk.
Oleh Ivanov, Head of the Evacuation Department of the Coordination Humanitarian Centre, informed that two volunteers disappeared on the first day of the massive russian strikes in Vovchansk. These volunteers did not discuss their actions and movements with the police or local authorities. The whereabouts of these people are currently unknown. The missing people are from Kyiv oblast, they wanted to help with the evacuation.
He also said that during the three days of evacuation, volunteers evacuated more than 15 people who were injured as a result of russian shelling. According to him, volunteers’ vehicles are also damaged by shelling during the evacuations.
Valentyna Sidash, a resident of Vovchansk, walked for two hours under fire to get to the collection point and leave for Kharkiv.
Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed that 7 residential buildings, a school, two garage cooperatives and civilian cars were damaged as a result of the morning airstrike on Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. According to him, a total of 615 windows were broken.

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the RMA, reported that an 80-year-old woman was killed as a result of shelling in Vovchansk at 11:55am and an 83-year-old man died in Hatyshche as a result of shrapnel wounds.
The enemy launched several attacks around 4pm, including on residential buildings in the central part of Kharkiv, using UMPB D-30 guided missiles. The hits were recorded in a 12-storey building and the area nearby. At least 10 garages on the territory of the residential building were also damaged. The number of victims is 20, among them are a 12-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl. They are in moderate condition. A total of 1 civilian man is in critical condition. 11 people sustained moderate injuries. 5 are in light condition. 6 people were hospitalised.
Volodymyr Tymoshko, Head of Kharkiv police, said that one of the S-300 missiles hit the ground in Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv at around 6pm, the other fell between apartment buildings in Kyivskyi district but did not explode.
On 14 May, two locals were killed in hostilities in Vovchanske community of Chuhuiv region.
An 80-year-old woman was killed as a result of hostile shelling in Vovchansk at 11:55am. A private house caught on fire.
An 83-year-old civilian died as a result of shrapnel wounds in Hatyshche village.
Oleh Syniehubov added that at 6:30am, the invaders attacked Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. Three garages were destroyed and three damaged as a result of the shelling by UMPB D-30. 4 people were injured: a 52-year-old man and three women aged 66, 56 and 38.
Over 30 settlements in Kharkiv oblast suffered artillery and mortar attacks yesterday.
At 4:30pm, the enemy launched an X-59 at Korotych village, Kharkiv region. It hit the premises of an enterprise, where 4 men were injured and 1 man died.
At 2:26pm, a 70-year-old woman was injured as a result of shelling in Lyptsi village, Kharkiv region.
On 13 May, private houses were damaged as a result of a series of massive shelling of Vovchansk using various types of weapons. 4 people were injured.
Yesterday Ukrainian troops repelled 22 attacks towards Kupiansk near Lyman Pershyi – Synkivka, Vilshanka – Synkivka, Krokhmalne – Berestove, Kolomyichykha – Stelmakhivka, Kovalivka – Novoiehorivka, Ploshchanka – Makiivka.
Towards Kharkiv, 13 attacks were repelled, including Nova Tovolzhanka (rf) – Vovchansk, Shebekino (rf) – Vovchansk, Hatyshche – Vovchansk, Murom – Starytsia, Strilecha – Hlyboke, Pylna – Hlyboke, Hlyboke – Lyptsi.
So far, 2065 locals have been evacuated from Chuhuiv region, 2989 from Kharkiv region, 67 from Bohodukhiv region and 1902 people have been evacuated by volunteers. A total of 7,023 people have been evacuated.
Donetsk oblast
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that since the beginning of the day, the russian army has attacked more than 30 times on the eastern front, 20 attacks are still ongoing.
Nazar Voloshyn, Spokesman of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, said that the enemy launched almost 300 kamikaze drone drops and 1,330 attacks from various types of weapons towards Chasiv Yar.
The russian military has changed its approach to attempts to storm Chasiv Yar. The russian army is destroying the settlement with FABs and KABs, using aircraft, FPV drones and drones with drops in large numbers.
671 people remain in Chasiv Yar, as of the morning of 14 May.

Towards Pokrovsk, Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Maksymilianivka and Antonivka of Marinka community were shelled. Three houses were damaged in Veselyi Hai of Kurakhove community.
Towards Kramatorsk, a house was damaged in Torske of Lyman community. Another 1 house was damaged in Mykolaivka of Kostiantynivka community.
Towards Bakhmut, 11 private houses, an apartment building and 3 outbuildings were damaged in Chasiv Yar community. 2 houses and a non-residential building were damaged in Siversk.
Vadym Filashkin, Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, informed that in total, russians shelled settlements in Donetsk oblast 11 times over the day. 318 people, including 46 children, were evacuated from the frontline.
Luhansk oblast
Towards Kupiansk, attacks were repelled near Kolomyichyha – Stelmakhivka, Kovalivka – Novoiehorivka, Ploschanka – Makiivka. Towards Lyman, our troops stopped an assault near Chervonopopivka-Ivanivka and improved the tactical situation in some areas. Towards Siversk, the invaders were unsuccessful, specifically near Lysychansk – Bilohorivka, Novodruzhesk – Bilohorivka, Zolotarivka – Verkhnokamianske.
Ukrainian positions were not lost. Nevske, Stelmakhivka and Kuzemivka were under artillery mortar attack.
Artem Lysohor, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that the Skhidvuhillia enterprises, which were transferred to russian investors, still have wage debt of more than ru 650m.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. They discussed the situation on the battlefield, support for Ukrainian soldiers, further defence cooperation, and preparations for the Global Peace Summit.
According to the city council, military exercises will be held in Bucha community from 14 to 16 May. The training will last through the day and night. The community residents are asked to remain calm and understand the temporary inconvenience.
Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of the RMA, informed that the construction of Kyiv oblast defence fortifications continues. All military engineering structures and lines of non-explosive barriers are being built under the direction of the military authorities. The use of public funds for the construction of defensive structures is controlled by the SSU, the State Bureau of Investigation and the NABU. Representatives of Kyiv Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise are providing technical supervision of the construction process.
Almost 100 residents of Kyiv oblast have successfully completed a 7-week basic training course for civilians to prepare for national resistance. The course covers 16 areas, including tactical and firearms training, tactical medicine and UAV operations. This weekend, the graduates of Kyiv Regional Centre for Preparing the Population for National Resistance were solemnly presented with certificates of completion.
Kyiv Training Centre for the National Resistance has launched a course for UAV operators. Anyone interested can take the five-day course free of charge. The training is provided by instructors from the Municipal Security Company who have combat experience. Last year, more than 26,000 people were trained at the Training Centre. In addition, more than 15,000 citizens received special military training for territorial community volunteer units (TCUs).
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klychko announced that Kyiv had handed over regular aid to the Ukrainian military, purchased with the capital’s budget funds. 33 pickup trucks, 12 electronic warfare systems and 50 antennas for UAVs were handed over to the 411th Separate Aviation Complex Battalion, which is currently holding the line in Donbas, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. Another 50 FPV drones were also sent to the 42nd Separate Mechanised Brigade in Kharkiv oblast.
Kyiv RMA reported that repairs are underway to a 16-apartment building in Hostomel on Ostromyrska Street, which was home to more than 60 people before the war. The four-storey building was heavily damaged during active hostilities in 2022. The works are being carried out at the expense of the Fund for Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.
Zhytomyr oblast
A modular town for IDPs is being built in Veresy village. So far, 40 modular houses have been installed here, funded by the Italian Red Cross. UAH 35m was allocated from the budget of Zhytomyr territorial community to install communications, lighting and landscaping.
The protective structure was installed at Andrushivka City Child Development Centre called Diuimovochka.The work was carried out as part of a joint project of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and the European Union in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. A modern playroom and bedroom with furniture, toys and bed linen were created for children.A ramp was installed for people with disabilities and a specialised bathroom was equipped.
In Zhytomyr oblast , a training event entitled ‘Community Civil Protection Advisory Centre – I Know, I Can, I Use!’ was held. Participants gained knowledge and skills to respond effectively to emergencies that may arise during martial law.
Sumy oblast
At night and in the morning, russians attacked the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast 13 times. A total of 78 explosions were recorded. Khotin, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Nova Sloboda, Esman, Seredyna-Buda and Znob-Novhorodske communities were shelled. The enemy used mortars, MLRS and cannon artillery.
Yesterday the russian military attacked Sumy oblast 36 times. A total of 166 explosions were recorded, including mortar, cannon artillery, MLRS, drone strikes, the dropping of explosive ordnance from a UAV and tank fire. On 13 May, 11 oblast communities came under hostile attack: Khotin, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Esman, Shalyhyne, Druzhba, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske.
The regional police reported that an apartment building, 5 private households, a hangar and an enterprise building were damaged in Sumy oblast as a result of hostile attacks on 13 May. Also, during the air raid, 2 electricity lines were disconnected in oblast, which resulted in a power outage at the substation and the household consumers connected to it.
Based on the regional State Emergency Service report, on 13 May, russian troops carried out a massive shelling of one of the border settlements in Shostka district. The shelling caused fires in the residential sector. Rescuers who arrived at the sites of the hits simultaneously extinguished the fires at four different addresses.

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy RMA, announced that the evacuation of people from Bilopillia and Vorozhba continues in Sumy oblast. According to him, this is not a forced evacuation, but an early voluntary evacuation from those settlements where the number of attacks has increased significantly.
The evacuation of the population from border communities within a 5km zone from the border with russia, which began in July 2023, continues in oblast. Residents of 115 border settlements in 4 regions are subject to evacuation.
According to the city council, two schools in Sumy community, which cannot be equipped with shelters, will be built from scratch. This includes the construction of a shelter in Stetskivka school for 150 people and a protective structure for 500 people in Sumy school.
Chernihiv oblast
Chernihiv RMA reported that in the afternoon, the enemy attacked the village of Hremiach in Novhorod-Siverskyi region with cannon artillery and mortars. As a result of the shelling, a local resident died of shrapnel wounds.
Over the past 24 hours, the russian military attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi, Snovsk and Horodnia communities 33 times. According to the State Border Guard Service, the enemy used mortars, rocket and cannon artillery, and an FPV drone.
According to the regional police, on 13 May, russians attacked civilian infrastructure with drones in the Chernihiv oblast. The building of the local fire station and a gas distribution point in one of the villages of the Novhorod-Siverskyi community were damaged.
In Snovsk, a commission is working to document the damage caused by the russian strike on the town on 13 May. So far, damage to 30 buildings has been documented. Three local residents in moderate condition are being treated in hospital, and one patient with shrapnel wounds is being treated on an outpatient basis.
According to the RMA, one more school in Chernihiv oblast has received a hybrid power generation unit to meet the needs of the school’s shelter. The project was implemented with the support of the Fortechnyi Charitable Foundation and the assistance of the French charity Electricians Without Borders. In total, 11 schools in 9 communities will soon launch their own solar power plants with the help of Electricians Without Borders.
In Nizhyn, the city’s dental clinic has signed a contract with the National Health Service of Ukraine to provide free dental prosthetics to military personnel. The free dental prosthetics services are available to combatants, people with war-related disabilities and military personnel. Funds for dental prosthetics are provided from the state budget as part of a pilot project to be implemented in 2024.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Late in the evening, 4 enemy shaheds were destroyed over the oblast. They were shot down by the defenders of the sky in Novomoskovsk, Kamianske and Dniprovskyi regions.
Nikopol was shelled with artillery and kamikaze drones. A 45-year-old man was killed by enemy shelling. A 47-year-old resident of the region’s centre was also injured and will be treated at home. A dormitory, a multi-story building, an infrastructure facility, 9 private houses were damaged, another was completely destroyed, and 6 outbuildings and a power line were hit.
Vinnytsia oblast
A memorial plaque and viburnum were installed in Vinnytsia oblast to mark the anniversary of the death of National Guard soldier Dmytro Stepaniuk. The junior lieutenant was killed on May 6 last year in Donetsk oblast. He was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree.
Tetiana Kharchenko, a soldier from Vinnytsia oblast, was recognized as one of the best nurses in Ukraine. Tetyana Kharchenko received recognition in the nomination “Nurse/Nurse-Defender” at the XV International Congress “Nursing in the Realities of War”.
Kirovohrad oblast
As was reported by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, air defense forces shot down an attack UAV over Kirovohrad oblast.
Oleksandr Bezpechnyi, Head of Community, reported that an Alley of Memory with photos of the defenders who died in the war was set up in the centre of the village of Oleksandrivka, Kropyvnytskyi region, Kirovohrad oblast. It features portraits of 64 soldiers who gave their lives for Ukraine. A stele was installed on the central street of Independence of Ukraine near the building of the village council.
Poltava oblast
In Poltava, servicemen can undergo free CT and MRI examinations in municipal and private hospitals. The community budget will compensate for this, this year – UAH 8.5m. This was done, among other things, to reduce waiting lists for such services.
In Poltava, three fallen Ukrainian soldiers are being honoured. The memorial service began at the Holy Dormition Cathedral.
Dmytro Pashohorov was a combat medic with an airmobile platoon. He was killed on April 25, 2024, during an artillery attack by russian troops near the village of Stelmakhivka, Luhansk oblast.
Maksym Polovyi was a machine gunner in a platoon of a fire support company. He died near the village of Sokil, Donetsk oblast. This happened as a result of the assault actions of russian soldiers on 6 May, 2024.
Senior gunner-operator Eduard Salnyi was killed on 7 May, 2024. He was killed as a result of shelling near Kostiantynivka, Donetsk oblast.
Poltava community plans to install memorial plaques to the 5 fallen soldiers. The soldiers were killed while defending Ukraine from the russian army. Roman Khiramonov, Dmytro Semka, Volodymyr Afanasiev, Maksym Krasnokutskyi, Nazarii Dibrova.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, reported that 5 shaheds were destroyed over Cherkasy oblast.
An exhibition of photographs of the families of the fallen and captured soldiers was organised in Cherkasy’s Yunist Park. 23 photos tell 23 stories.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that on 13 May, occupiers launched 462 attacks in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
An airstrike hit Mala Tokmachka. Huliaipole, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Novoandriivka and Kamianske were attacked by 208 UAVs of various modifications. Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne came under 21 MLRS attacks.
Also, 232 artillery shellings occurred in the territories of Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Levadne and Malynivka. There were reports of 5 housing damages, but civilians were unharmed.
During the night of 14 May, the enemy launched 18 Shahed-131/136 UAVs from the occupied Crimea. According to the Ukrainian Air Force Command, all enemy UAVs were neutralised, including 2 in Zaporizhzhia oblast.
According to the National Guard of Ukraine, aerial reconnaissance units near Enerhodar destroyed the enemy Pole-21 electronic warfare complex.
The State Ecological Inspection said that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and as of May 2024, the total estimated damage due to air pollution in Zaporizhzhia oblast amounts to nearly UAH 165m.
Mykolaiv oblast
On 13 May, russian forces launched a missile attack on Mykolaiv oblast. There were no casualties reported. The attack hit an open area in Voznesensk region during daylight hours.
Also, at 4:57pm and 5:17pm, Ochakiv community came under enemy mortar attack. At 3:41am on 14 May, Kutsurub community came under artillery shelling. There were no casualties reported as a result of the attacks.
According to Mykolaiv RMA, during the night of 14 May, the enemy launched 18 Shahed-131/136 UAVs from Cape Chauda and 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile from the occupied Crimea towards Ukraine. The Air Defence Forces of the Air Command South destroyed a reconnaissance Orlan-10 UAV over Mykolaiv oblast.
Volodymyr Topchyi, Director of Mykolaiv Zoo, announced that the zoo received a long-awaited shipment of goods from European zoos. The European Association of Zoos and Aquariums organised a fundraising campaign, purchased specialised animal feeds, and arranged their delivery to Mykolaiv Zoo. These feeds are for flamingos, parrots, ostriches, horned ravens, elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, zebras, herbivores, sheep, turtles, pond fish, mice and rats, totalling 11.5 tonnes were provided for a total of €17,870.79. This assistance confirms the solidarity of zoos. A truck with a similar set of feeds departed from Mykolaiv to Kharkiv Zoo.
Odesa oblast
The Southern Defence Forces reported that no enemy fleet ships are currently observed in the Black and Azov Seas, and missile carriers are stationed at their bases.
According to the MarineTraffic portal, on 14 May, dozens of ships are in the waters of the Black Sea awaiting loading queues. It is known that there are 12 ships in the port of Odesa, 11 in Chornomorsk, and 10 in Pivdennyi. Also, 5 ships are heading out of ports and 2 are entering. Among all the ships, there are 3 chemical tankers.
The press service of Odesa City Council announced that 4 evacuators were provided to the military, purchased with budget funds. These vehicles are based on all-wheel-drive Japanese trucks adapted for military needs, with powerful engines, high ground clearance, and a payload capacity of 6.2 tonnes. The city’s educators also contributed by raising funds for military needs through traditional events like Coffee with Education and Warm Wave and fairs, concerts and other activities. Thanks to the efforts of Odesa’s educators, 6 Mavic 3 Pro FMC quadcopters and additional batteries, a night vision Mavic 3T, a thermal sight and its mount, an antenna amplifier and a 3D printer have already been purchased for our defenders.
Oleksandr Hryniuk, Head of the Resilience Workshop public organisation, said that barbershops and mobile showers made from old cars are unique vehicles made by Odesa volunteers for the military, despite ongoing repairs to army vehicles. Recently, they received an order from marine infantry to manufacture mobile command observation points.
Ivan Liptuha, Director of the Department of Culture, International Cooperation and European Integration of the Odesa City Council, announced that a trilateral agreement between the governments of Ukraine, Italy, and UNESCO to allocate funds from Italy to restore architectural monuments damaged by russian shelling in Odesa, and for training restoration specialists, will be signed on 15 May. The agreement amounts to €42.5m. The funds will not only go towards restoring specific monuments but also cover a 3-year project aimed at 3 areas: restoring some of the affected UNESCO-listed monuments, creating a foundation according to the UNESCO management plan for the objects, and training specialists in various fields, including restoration.
Kherson oblast
The army of the aggressor country continues its terror against the peaceful population of the right bank of Kherson oblast. The russian forces shelled residential neighbourhoods with mortars, artillery and drones, and launched a missile strike on the regional centre.
Kherson, Kizomys, Inzhenerne, Antonivka, Sadove, Beryslav, Tiahynka and Osokorivka were under enemy attack.
On 13 May, 13 objects were damaged due to enemy actions: 5 private and 1 high-rise residential buildings, an administrative building, an educational institution, port infrastructure, and 4 vehicles, including 2 police cars and a fire truck of SES.
A private house in Kizomys was damaged by artillery shelling, as a result of which a fire broke out. According to locals, a 69-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman lived there. After extinguishing the fire, rescuers found severely burned remains of one person, while the search for another continues. Also, during firefighting, russian forces dropped an explosive device from a drone onto the State Emergency Service’s fire truck, damaging the vehicle. The rescuers were unharmed.
Inzhenerne was under enemy artillery attack, injuring a 74-year-old man. He was hospitalised with blast trauma and thigh shrapnel wounds.
In Tiahynka, a 61-year-old woman was injured due to artillery shelling, suffering from blast trauma and concussion.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, reported that russian forces launched a missile strike on Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. An administrative building, a civilian car, and 2 police vehicles were damaged. In the same district, a high-rise residential building was damaged by artillery shelling.
Volodymyr Litvinov, Head of Beryslav RMA, said that during a nighttime drone attack, Ukrainian air defence forces destroyed 2 Shahed-131/136 attack drones in Beryslav community.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, announced that another 6 children had been returned to Ukrainian-controlled territory, rescued from russian occupiers camps. Among them are 1 girl and 5 boys aged 5 to 12 years. The Save Ukraine organisation worked on their return, which was a very challenging rescue mission with delays at checkpoints and intimidation attempts. Currently, all children are safe and they are receiving medical and psychological support.
According to the National Resistance Center, in the temporarily occupied Kherson oblast, russians are conducting classes to inform teenagers, teaching them to identify “extremists” and “terrorists” and report them to the occupiers. They also show propaganda videos about “Nazis” in Ukraine, trying to identify disloyal individuals.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, informed that a handmade book Lament of Kherson Oblast was presented using mediaeval technologies in Kherson. Volyn oblast
The oblast sent a Mitsubishi pickup truck to soldiers from Volyn oblast who protect the sky. And fighters of the 100th Separate Mechanised Brigade received 10 FPV drones, 3 Dji Mavic 3 Pro quadcopters, batteries for drones and 4 3,300W generators.
Lutsk community sent 10 DJI Mavic 3 Fly More Combo quadcopters, 5 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters, 25 7-inch FPVs and 25 10-inch FPVs to the 1st Assault Battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade to Kharkiv oblast.
The RMA reported that as a humanitarian aid, Volyn oblast received 2 buses from Sweden to transport students to educational institutions.
Zakarpattia oblast
The RMA reported that free mental health services in Zakarpattia can be obtained in 32 primary care institutions. 267 specialists, namely, general practitioners, therapists, and paediatricians, received relevant training.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
The RMA reported that due to missile attacks on energy infrastructure facilities in Prykarpattia, energy consumption restriction schedules have been activated. Currently, they concern large industrial consumers.
The City Council reported that Ivano-Frankivsk community sent 20 FPV drones, EW, an antenna and a control complex to the KORD Special Unit.
Lviv oblast
German Frankfurt, the financial capital of Germany, has become a new twin city of Lviv. This is already the 24th city in the world and the third German municipality with which Lviv has established partnership relations.
A first-grader from Lviv oblast handed over an FPV drone to the Armed Forces. In order to buy a quadcopter for the guardsmen, 6-year-old Ustim sold his collection of cars, which he had been collecting for four years. Mariia Zailho, his mother, said that the boy gave away even those cars that were the most expensive for him. When the required amount was almost collected, Ustim’s family added the missing funds and purchased a drone. His boy was handed over to the military unit of the National Guard.

A cheerleading championship was held in Lviv oblast. Funds were collected for the Revived Soldiers Ukraine CF at the event. The fund finances the work of rehabilitation centres in Lviv and Irpen, in which up to 45 wounded are received daily during the war. These funds raised by the cheerleaders during the competition will be directed to the production of an electronic prosthesis of the latest generation to the Ukrainian soldier Mykola Melnyk.
Rivne oblast
Another anonymous report was received about the mining of the building of Rivne RMA and the Regional Council. According to the protocol, the workers were evacuated. Special services conducted an inspection of the premises. No explosive objects were found.
Rivne oblast is among the leaders in terms of the amount of equipment collected and handed over as part of the Give Light to Kharkiv all-Ukrainian campaign. This initiative started in mid-April. All of Ukraine collected alternative sources of electricity for Kharkiv residents who suffer from constant enemy shelling. During this time, the oblast sent 358 generators, over 800 charging stations and power banks.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil City Council reported that the community sent 5 DJI Mavic 3 quadcopters and 3 DJI Mavic 3T quadcopters to the military of the community, who are currently on the front lines.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community sent a EW complex worth over UAH 2m to the Defence Forces. The manufacturer is Ukrainian, the complex was purchased at the request of one of the military units. The city council is expecting a new supply of EW and PEP equipment worth over UAH 4m, as well as a number of quadcopters and FPV drones. New purchases were also announced.
Chernivtsi oblast
Last year, the oblasr’s libraries removed over 513,000 copies of russian-language works and publications by russian authors. For the year 2023, the libraries of the oblast have written off over 513,000 documents, of which 352,500 are in russian. These are books, newspapers, magazines and other literature. Instead, funds were replenished with Ukrainian publications – 20,100 copies of documents were sent to the libraries of the oblast. In 4 months of 2024, public libraries of the oblast received 7,400 copies of documents, including 5,600 copies in the Ukrainian language. And they wrote off 74,100 copies of documents, of which 50,000 were russian-language.

The EU finally approved the Plan of Ukraine, necessary for the implementation of the Ukraine Facility program in the amount of €50bn. Ukraine will receive €1.89bn in pre-financing.
