It has been the 750th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression. 

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

On 14 March, there were 68 combat clashes.

The russian army launched a total of 14 missile and 103 air strikes, carried out 45 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Unfortunately, russian terrorist attacks resulted in wounded civilians. Residential private and apartment buildings, as well as other infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

Towards Volyn and Polissia, there were no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group were noticed.

Towards Siversk and Sloboda, the russian army maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Oleksandrivka, Ponomarenky, Romankove, Velyka Pysarivka, Popivka (Sumy oblast), Lyptsi, Borshchova, Vil’cha (Kharkiv oblast). Around 30x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Hirsk, Kostobobriv, Khrinivka (Chernihiv oblast), Seredyna-Buda, Krasnopillya, Zapsillya (Sumy oblast), Veterynarne, Strilecha, Borysivka, and Ambarne (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted no offensives. The invaders fired artillery and mortars at more than 10 settlements, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).

Towards Lyman, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 assaults in the vicinities of Terny, Yampolivka, Rozdolivka (Donetsk oblast) and Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), where the adversary, with air support, made attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The enemy fired artillery and mortars at more than 20 settlements, including Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Terny, Spirne, and Dvorichna (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Bakhmut, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 5 attacks in the vicinities of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka (Donetsk oblast), where the occupiers made attempts to improve their tactical situation. The enemy launched air strikes in the vicinity of New York (Donetsk oblast). Around 10 settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Bohdanivka, Vasyukivka, and Chasiv Yar (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Avdiivka, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 attacks in the vicinities of Berdychi, Orlivka, Tonen’ke, Pervomaiske and Vodyane (Donetsk oblast). The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Berdychi, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Novokalynove, Prohres, Semenivka, Zhelanne (Donetsk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at around 25 settlements, including Oleksandropil, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, and Semenivka (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Novopavlivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the invaders in the vicinities of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). In that area, the invaders, with air support, made 18 attempts to breach Ukrainian defense. The adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Kostyantynivka and Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 20 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, and Vuhledar (Donetsk oblast).

Towards Orikhiv, the enemy, with air support, conducted 6 attacks on positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinities of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast), west of Verbove and Robotyne (Zaporizhzhia oblast). The invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Vil’ne Pole, Storozheve, Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast) and Malynivka (Zaporizhzhia oblast). Around 20 settlements, including Poltavka, Rivnopil, Charivne, and Orikhiv (Zaporizhzhia oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.

Towards Kherson, Odesa operational-strategic group, the enemy conducted 1 unsuccessful assault on positions of Ukrainian defenders. Around 20 settlements, including L’vove, Ivanivka, Sadove, Olhivka, and Mykolaivka (Kherson oblast), were under artillery and mortar fire.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched air strikes on 4 buildups of troops, weapons and military equipment.


Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, says that robotic ground platforms have begun to be mass-produced in Ukraine. The tests were kamikaze platforms, turrets, platforms that destroy russian positions and equipment, mine, demine, evacuate the wounded and bring ammunition to positions. 

Referring to the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Government has increased the amount of state social assistance to the children of fallen volunteer defenders. From April 1, the children of the deceased volunteers will receive almost UAH 8,000 per minor.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Ukrainian military repelled 63 russian attacks towards frontlines of Donetsk and Luhansk oblast. There were 49 battles towards Avdiivka and Novopavlivka.

Kharkiv oblast

Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, informed that during the day, russia launched an S-300 missile at Kharkiv region.

Last night, the invaders targeted Kharkiv oblast’s TV and radio infrastructure with enemy drones, which led to interruptions in TV and radio signals in several regions.

Yesterday about 15 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were under artillery and mortar attack: Synkivka, Ivanivka, Berestove, Hraniv, Strilecha, Borysivka, Vovchanski Khutory and others. The enemy launched airstrikes on Vovchansk.

At 4:20pm, two private houses and two cars were damaged as a result of artillery shelling in Vovchanski Khutory village, Chuhuiv region. There were no casualties.

At 3:20pm, there was a UAV shelling of Vilcha village, Chuhuiv region. There were no casualties.

At 3pm, 11 shops, 3 private houses, 5 apartment buildings were damaged as a result of massive shelling in Vovchansk. There were no casualties.

At 11am, one private house was damaged as a result of shelling in Kupiansk. The shelling repeated at 11:40am and the house was damaged. There were no casualties.

At 9am, a private house was damaged as a result of the shelling in Kurylivka village, Kupiansk region. The shelling repeated at 11:15 and the house was also damaged.

At 8:15am, one private house was destroyed as a result of artillery shelling in Vovchansk. There was another shelling at 1pm. There were no casualties.

Ukrainian defenders repelled 4 enemy attacks near Tabaivka yesterday.

Combined teams of bomb experts cleared 37.85 hectares of mines and destroyed 291 explosive ordnance.

Donetsk oblast

Lykhovii, Spokesman of the Tavriia operational-strategic group, informed that at 8am, there were 12 simultaneous engagements towards Avdiivka and Novopavlivka. Avdiivka remains the main focus of russian attacks.

The press service of Donetsk police said that  yesterday the russian army attacked the residential sector 15 times and 1,372 times along the contact line. 8 settlements were under attack: Chasiv Yar city, Niu-York settlement, Hostre, Maksymivka, Netailove, Novoselivka, Romanivka and Soloviove villages. 27 residential buildings and an outbuilding were damaged.

Towards Volnovakha, russia dropped three guided aerial bombs, including one KAB-1500, on Maksymivka village. One person was injured and at least 10 houses destroyed.

According to Donetsk Regional Military Administration, towards Pokrovsk, Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka and Heorhiivka of Marinka community were shelled by artillery. An outbuilding was damaged in Hostre of Kurakhove community. Ptyche and Kalynove of Novohrodivka community were shelled, no casualties were reported.

Towards Kramatorsk, in Illinivka community, 2 facilities in Romanivka were damaged and the territory of an agricultural enterprise in Stara Mykolaivka shelled.

Towards Bakhmut, a person was injured, 5 private houses, 4 apartment buildings and an administrative building damaged in Chasiv Yar community. 14 private houses were damaged by a KAB-250 bomb In Niu-York. An administrative building was damaged in Siversk. Rozdolivka, Fedorivka and Vasiukivka of Soledar community and Pereizne and Verkhnokamianske of Zvanivka community were under attack.

In a day, russians shelled settlements in Donetsk oblast 15 times. 719 people, including 126 children, were evacuated from the frontline.

Serhii Voronov, Officer of the Lehion Svoboda, said that towards Novopavlivka, there are constant russian assaults. The fiercest fighting continues near Pervomaiske, Novomykhailivka, Heorhiivka and Nevelske. Ukrainian troops are repelling russian attacks to stabilise the frontline.

The White Angels crew evacuated a couple with limited mobility who were left homeless from the hottest spot in Lyman community. The house in Kolodyazi village, where an 84-year-old man and his 86-year-old wife lived, was destroyed by a russian direct hit. The woman was hospitalised due to heart problems. In addition, the White Angel crew delivered humanitarian aid to Torske which is about two kilometres from the frontline.

Vasyl Chynchyk, Head of Toretsk City Administration, reported about daily shelling. There are 12,000 people left in the city. They live without gas and water supply. Every day, water barrels are delivered to the city and residents have learnt how to collect rainwater and melt snow, and have installed outdoor toilets outside their homes.  

Two other oblasts of Ukraine are ready to host evacuated residents of Donetsk oblast. People can find shelter in Rivne and Volyn oblasts.  Evacuation to these oblasts will start on 23 March.

Bomb experts have started surveying agricultural land in Donetsk oblast. They want to clear the fields and make them suitable for farming. The specialists have already worked on one of the plots near a de-occupied village.

141 children from 17 communities in Donetsk oblast are being rehabilitated at the Smarahdove Misto centre in Khmelnytskyi oblast. The children will take a school course. They will take part in workshops, competitions, sports and game programmes and excursions.

Luhansk oblast

According to Luhansk Regional Military Administration, russians attacked towards Kupiansk and Lyman yesterday. Specifically, there was combat near Stelmakhivka and Bilohorivka. Ukrainian troops are holding the line in these areas. The enemy launched airstrikes on Nadiia and Bilohorivka.  Four explosions were recorded on the outskirts of Nevske. Nevertheless, the bread, food and medicines were delivered to Nevske and Novoliubivka yesterday.

In the occupied territory of Luhansk oblast, votes for the russian president continue to be collected. In order not to bother with a thorough door-to-door visit, members of the election commissions organised a taxi for voting in Rubizhne. The driver drives around the town and invites people to join in over a loudspeaker. The driver stops whenever necessary.

One hundred children from the occupied territories were selected by russians to participate in the Yunarmiya additional programme, specifically the Yuntech innovation and technical shift. In April, teenagers aged 14 to 17 will be sent to a camp in krasnodar region to learn how to operate drones. The 17-year-olds will immediately be checked for military registration.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Mihai Popsoi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, visited Kyiv oblast. As part of his working visit to the oblast, the delegation, together with representatives of the military administrations, visited Lyceum No. 2 in Hostomel, which was destroyed by russians. The Moldovan delegation inspected the destruction of the educational institution and spoke with the lyceum’s headmaster. Traditionally, the Deputy Prime Minister left a commemorative inscription on the blackboard of one of the lyceum’s classrooms, which reads “Victorie Ucrainei”, meaning “Victory to Ukraine”.

More than 20 defenders were honoured on  Military Volunteer Day in Kyiv. In the morning, residents of the capital, the military and local authorities paid tribute to the Heroes at the monument to the Volunteer Soldier in Troieshchyna. This is the first memorial to be installed to military volunteers in Ukraine.

A book by National Guard officer Timur Nahalevskyi was presented in the capital. The author of the book, together with his colleagues, visited the training bases of the newly created brigades of the National Police, the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service, where he talked to several dozen participants in the Battle of Kyiv, the defence of Mariupol, the liberation of Sumy, Kherson, Kharkiv and Chernihiv oblasts.

According to Kyiv City State Administration, a platform to help IDPs is being set up in Kyiv. The Kyiv Platform for IDP Assistance involves 25 representatives of communities from Luhansk, Kherson, Sumy, Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. More than 210,000 IDPs have been registered in Kyiv since February 24, 2022, and almost 46,000 of them are children.

In Kyiv, the Association of Ukrainian Cities held a meeting of the Section for the Development of De-occupied and Temporarily Occupied Territories. The meeting was held to discuss urgent problems for their residents and internally displaced persons. About 60 representatives of temporarily occupied and de-occupied communities from 9 oblasts of Ukraine, as well as representatives of the Verkhovna Rada, the government and international partners took part in the meeting.

According to the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, a medical evacuation train for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was shown in Kyiv. The cars are equipped with a new generation of medical equipment that allows not only transportation but also treatment during evacuation.

Vilna, the  friendly space for women and girls, established psychological support groups for the families of defenders. 

According to Ruslan Nychik, Head of Kyiv Regional Infrastructure Restoration and Development Service, bridges destroyed by the war on Kyiv-Ivankiv-Ovruch highway are being restored. 

In Bucha region of Kyiv oblast, Security Service of Ukraine officers found several hidden arsenals of weapons left by the invaders while escaping from the oblast. In particular, a combat reconnaissance and patrol vehicle was found in one of them. The weapon was seized.

According to Oleksandr Markushyn, Mayor of Irpin, a meeting with the families of the fallen Ukrainian soldiers was held in Irpin community. To mark the second anniversary of the liberation of Irpin, 125 large banners with QR codes and information about the heroes of the community who have been defending Ukraine since 2014 will be installed.

Ruslan Kravchenko, Head of Kyiv RMA, reported that in the village of Krasylivka, Brovary region, the reconstruction of the lyceum, which was damaged as a result of russian military aggression, continues. Before the war, the school had more than 450 students.

The construction of a shelter for students of Markhalivka gymnasium is underway in Fastiv region. The shelter can accommodate 235 people. 

Zhytomyr oblast

There was a meeting of the Advisory Council for War Veterans and Families of Defenders of Ukraine at the Zhytomyr RMA. Today, the number of people whose interests the Advisory Council is supposed to take care of in Zhytomyr oblast exceeds 10,000. 

497 children in Zhytomyr have been granted the status of a child affected by hostilities and armed conflicts since 2017. As of 13 March, 30 more applications have been registered for consideration. 

According to the Committee of Voters of Ukraine, Zhytomyr is among the cities that spend the most on defence. 

On 8 March, a charity fair in the Cherniakhiv community raised more than UAH 30,000 for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fair offered sweets and handmade products.

As part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Programme, a sports exercise session was held in Zhytomyr for veterans and their families. Over 30 people took part in the event. 

In Zhytomyr, the Honcharenko Centre for Education, Culture and Volunteering has launched the Silver Age University, a place for older people to meet and learn. Meetings are held here twice a week, and the programme considers the requests of visitors. The main goal of the club is to help older people find new friends, mutual support during the war and learn new things. 

Sumy oblast

On 14 March, the enemy attacked civilian infrastructure in Sumy, Shostka, Trostianets and Bilopillia with UAVs. Missile strikes were also launched against Shostka and Trostianets. Also, the russians conducted missile and air strikes on radio engineering facilities in Sumy oblast. Broadcasting transmitters were temporarily disabled. As a result of the damage, part of the oblast is (temporarily) unable to receive Ukrainian television and radio signals.

During an air raid when the enemy was shelling Shostka, a 74-year-old woman died in a bomb shelter.

At night and in the morning, russians fired 13 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy oblast. There were 35 explosions. Sumy, Yunakivka, Bilopillia, Trostianets, Velyka Pysarivka, Seredyna-Buda communities were shelled.

According to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, around 10:00 a.m., the town of Seredyna-Buda was shelled with mortars from the territory of the russian federation. As a result, 4 people were injured. At least 7 residential buildings and 1 car were damaged.

As a result of emergency rescue operations to eliminate the consequences of an airstrike on the city of Sumy, the bodies of two men who died have already been unblocked from the rubble. Rescuers unblocked the body of the 3rd victim at the site of the rubble in a five-storey residential building. The work is ongoing. The rescuers also saved 10 residents of the building (5 were unblocked). 12 people sustained injuries. Psychologists from the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Sumy Oblast and the Main Department of the National Police in Sumy oblast provided psychological assistance to 57 people.

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of the RMA, reported that over the past two days, russian troops have carried out 800 strikes on the territory of Sumy oblast, which is last year’s rate for six months.There were 800 explosions caused by various types of weapons. 

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the RMA, reported that large-scale engineering works are underway in Chernihiv oblast to strengthen the state border and build fortifications to improve the country’s defence capability. 

In a village in Chernihiv oblast, volunteers from the Dobrobat volunteer building battalion are restoring a community centre and 18 houses that were damaged during the fighting. All these repairs are free of charge. They receive funding from various benefactors.

Two hospitals in Chernihiv oblast were renovated due to German support. They have undergone repairs and redevelopment on separate floors. Later, call centres and solar power plants will be installed in the facilities. The project to renovate healthcare facilities is being implemented under the Special Support Programme for Ukraine/ EU4ResilientRegions.

One of Ukraine’s largest Armies of Restoration has been created in Chernihiv oblast. Since October 2022, more than 11,000 residents of the oblast have been involved in community service. They dismantled destroyed buildings, arranged shelters, harvested firewood, built fortifications and helped prepare food for the military, wove camouflage nets and made trench candles, etc. 

According to Chernihiv RMA, Kipti and Nova Basan communities of Chernihiv oblast received trucks from the U-LEAD with Europe Programme. In 2022, 19 communities of the oblast received emergency assistance from the U-LEAD with Europe Programme in the amount of EUR 1 million.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that the enemy shelled  Nikopol region with artillery twice hitting Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. During the day, the occupiers attacked Nikopol 7 times. As a result, 6 people were injured, including a child. They used kamikaze drones and artillery to hit peaceful residential areas. A 7-year-old boy was wounded in the shelling, 3 women aged 74 and 73, and 2 men aged 43 and 38 were injured. 7 apartment buildings and 5 private houses, 6 shops, 2 cafes, a kindergarten, a college, 3 administrative buildings, a post office, a pharmacy, a car, power lines and an outbuilding were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

In Vinnytsia, on Ukrainian Volunteer Day the memory of those killed in the war was honoured. Flowers were laid at the interactive stele of memory on Taras Shevchenko Square.

Poltava oblast

According to the regional Territorial Center of Recruitment and Social Support in Poltava, on Ukrainian Volunteer Day, 12 families received awards for their fallen relatives.

Cherkasy oblast

Cherkasy residents paid tribute to a soldier of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, Kostiantyn Miroshnychenko, who was also a public figure. Brothers-in-arms, concerned citizens, relatives, friends, government officials and clergy gathered to pay their last respects to the Hero.

In Uman, Cherkasy region, a memorial plaque in honour of the fallen defender Bohdan Mykhalchuk was unveiled at Gymnasium No. 11. It is known that Bohdan was killed on 24 March 2023 in Luhansk oblast defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

Ivan Fedorov, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, said that the russian army carried out 290 strikes on seven towns and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast on 13 March. 84 UAVs attacked Huliaipole, Novodanilivka, Levadne, Robotyne, Mala Tokmachka and Malynivka. russians also attacked other settlements with aircraft, MLRS and artillery.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that towards Orikhiv, seven attacks by the russian army near Verbove and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia oblast and Staromaiorske in Donetsk oblast were repelled. 

Mykolaiv oblast

According to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on the night of 14 March, air defence forces destroyed two Shahed 131/136 drones. On 13 March, at 1:14am, the russian army fired artillery shells at the waters of Ochakiv community. Also at 2:57pm, the town of Ochakiv came under russian artillery fire. The russian artillery strikes were recorded on the settlements of the Kutsurub community. There were no casualties. 

According to the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, In the course of aerial reconnaissance, operators of the Mykolaiv-based 73rd Maritime Centre detected and stopped russian military’s an attempt to mine water bodies in Kherson oblast. The soldiers inflicted fire damage with unmanned aerial vehicles and destroyed enemy equipment.

Nibulon was able to move part of its fleet from Mykolaiv to Izmail. The transport was carried out entirely by land. To do this, the vessels were dismantled and delivered by large tractor-trailers. The vessels were then reassembled at the Bessarabian branch in Izmail. In this way, four tugs and two loading and unloading machines were transported. Most of the company’s fleet still remains in Mykolaiv port. It is extremely dangerous to move the vessels out of the port due to the constant risk of shelling by russia.

Odesa oblast

Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported that the Odesa Sea Port Authority hosted a meeting between the regional leadership and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Ukraine. The parties discussed the work of the region’s ports and future prospects for cooperation. Mr Ambassador assured that Latvia is ready to continue to provide comprehensive assistance and support to Odesa oblast. 

Soldiers from the South military command units performing combat missions in eastern Ukraine received 18 buggies, 4 mobile baths and 2 pick-up trucks for air defence units from volunteers from the Faithful and Free NGO. The military also received 50 generators and 60 tonnes of food.

According to Odesa City Council, the city purchased and delivered 21 vehicles to the military as part of the city’s Safe City programme. The vehicles were purchased for the National Guard in various modifications and configurations. 

One of the participants in the First Closed Charity Auction Volunteer Amulet was the well-known in Odesa charity fund Hold. Representatives of the charity put up for auction a painted tube from an M777 howitzer charge called “The Burning Kremlin”, which symbolised the hopes of all Ukrainians. It was sold for UAH 4,000.

Kherson oblast

Kherson RMA reported that in the morning, the russian army attacked the centre of Kherson, hitting a house. A wall was destroyed and a room on the first floor was damaged. There were no casualties.

Kherson Regional Military Administration said that at 10:30am the russian army attacked Kherson. The shelling damaged a multi-storey building, an apartment on the sixth floor was hit. This was reported that in the morning, after 4am, the russian army attacked a motor transport company in the centre of Kherson. Three cars, two buses and one minibus were on fire.

Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson Regional Military Administration, reported that over the past day, the russian army shelled Kherson, Mykhailivka, Beryslav, Stepanivka, Sadove, Antonivka, Bilozirka, Poniativka and Kachkarivka. 8 multi-storey buildings, 3 private houses and a gas pipeline were damaged. In Kherson, the port infrastructure and a motor transport company were hit. There were no casualties. 

On the left bank of Kherson oblast, the Ar Forces destroyed a russian observation post, 4 boats, 2 reconnaissance UAVs of the SuperSam and Zala types, some vehicles, a quad bike and 42 russian army servicemen.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk City Council sent 5 DJI Mavic 3 Pro quadcopters and 3 DJI Mavic 3 Thermal quadcopters to the A4010 military unit (the 5th Separate Assault Kyiv Brigade). Also they sent 2 DJI Mavic 3 quadcopters and a DJI Matrice 30T quadcopter to the 3rd battalion of military unit A0693. The technical equipment was purchased with budget funds and will be sent to the front line to perform tasks.

Zakarpattia oblast

Zakarpattia Regional Council was visited by an international delegation representatives of the Ministry of Health of France and the Romanian organisation ASSOC, which specialises in social projects, Jean Pierre Pruvot, Professor from the University of Lille, and Andrii Smolanka, Director of Regional Center of Neurosurgery and Neurology ZOR. Representatives of the Ministry of Health of France studied the needs of Zakarpattia rehabilitation centres.

Mercy, Pokrovsk Complex Rehabilitation Centre designated for persons with disabilities, is relocating to Zakarpattia. It will function in the equipped shelters of Neresnytsk community. Zakarpattia and Donetsk RMAs together with the Ministry of Reintegration plan to evacuate the centre’s employees and wards (65 people). Among them are children with disabilities who will move with their parents.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

40 communal workers of Ivano-Frankivsk community are going to Donetsk oblast to help build fortifications.The group will be headed by Hennadiy Ponomarenko, Deputy Director of the Department of Infrastructure, Housing and Communal Policy.

Ivano-Frankivsk RMA held a scheduled meeting of the Council on IDPs. They discussed and agreed on working groups of the Council, planned their activities for 2024, and together with the SSS CF stipulated the monitoring of local programs to form the basis of the Council’s further activities.

Lviv oblast

The RMA held a meeting of the Council of the IDPs. They discussed the strategic goals of integration and adaptation of IDPs in communities.

On the basis of Danylo Halytskyi National Medical University, with the help of high-tech equipment, they will learn how to provide assistance to people in emergency situations. The cost of the set is about €400,000. It was purchased thanks to a joint project of the All-Ukrainian Resuscitation Council and Aide Médicale & Caritative France-Ukraine. The university has already started conducting the first training sessions using such mannequins. Last spring Lviv RMA and the All-Ukrainian Resuscitation Council signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.

Pustomytyvsk community purchased 17 DJL Mavic-3 Thermal and Mavic-3 quadcopters worth UAH 2,454,000 for military units A4220, A1275, A0998, 3113, A4722. The council also allocated financial assistance for the treatment of wounded soldiers in the amount of UAH 175,000.

Lviv City Hall sent 2 cars, 20 Bandera Power multi-channel fast charging units, 6 DJI Mavic Pro quadcopters and 1 Matrice 300 complex worth UAH 3.8m to the military thanks to the community funds.

Rivne oblast

Sarnen community sent 2 Starlinks, a charging station, a kit for increasing the range of drone antennas, amplifier antennas and cables, as well as a remote control for Mavica to the 150th separate mechanised brigade.

During the art platform in Varasha were raised over UAH 11,000 for an off-road vehicle for the platoon of radio-electronic intelligence of the 1st Separate Special Forces Brigade named after Ivan Bohun.

Hoshchan ensemble Kolorit raised UAH 22,000 during the concert to purchase equipment for a platoon of a military unit.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil oblast joined the Veteran Administration Service project, which is being implemented with the assistance of the Ministry of Veteran Affairs. From now on, war veterans, members of their families and families of fallen soldiers will be able to quickly and efficiently receive administrative services in the “single window” format at the Center for the Provision of Administrative Services of Pidhorodniansk Community.

Seven women, wives of military personnel from Kremenets region, received free vocational training as tractor drivers and agricultural production operators. In accordance with the budget program of measures for the professional adaptation of veterans and their family members, as well as family members of Defenders of Ukraine, project participants were able to obtain category A1 (a tractor driver) licences. In total, 54 people, 29 of them women, received professional training under the program.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

The session of Khmelnytskyi City Council was held. There were changes introduced to a number of military programs that help support the Defense Forces. The budget was adjusted according to the changes. In particular, another UAH 220m was added to the Defense Forces. They also added UAH 6m for housing for the military (a total of UAH 26m has already been provided for this year). They also added funds for material assistance to the military, wounded, families of the killed, etc. UAH 6 m was allocated for the innovative program of grant support for projects in the field of defence. UAH 60m were allocated for shelter in educational institutions and in the perinatal centre. UAH 7.3m were allocated for medical equipment for the treatment of the wounded. The communal institution Veterans Space was created. Almost UAH 40m worth of drones and quadcopters were transferred to the ownership of military units, and UAH 500,000 worth of means to ensure the operation of drones, quadcopters, etc. Financial assistance of UAH 60,000 was allocated for 28 families of prisoners of war and missing persons.

Chernivtsi oblast

In Chernivtsi, thanks to the Flora Fest charity fair, UAH 32,560 was raised to purchase drones for the Armed Forces, which were donated to the POLYTECH. Ukrainian Defence CF. 

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

The Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU announced that EU ambassadors supported the allocation of €5bn for military aid to Ukraine. The funds will be transferred to the European Peace Fund, which finances the supply of weapons to Ukraine. They added that the EU remains determined to provide long-term support to Ukraine and “guarantee that it will receive the military equipment necessary for self-defence”.

Tomas Poyar, Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic on national security, announced that ammunition purchased within the framework of the Czech initiative may arrive in Ukraine as early as June. Currently, over 15 countries have undertaken to finance the purchase of ammunition. Among them are Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Norway and Canada.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President, met with Fan Xianzhong, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine. They discussed cooperation and support of Ukraine.

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President, and Anders Fogh Rasmussen, NATO Secretary General in 2009-2014, former Prime Minister of Denmark, held an online meeting of the International Working Group on Security Issues and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine. They discussed the progress of the country on the path to integration into the Euro-Atlantic security system and the necessary steps for this.

Austria expels two russian diplomats. The authorities also declared them personas non grata for actions incompatible with their diplomatic status and ordered them to leave the country within a week. Starting from the summer of 2020, Austria has already expelled 11 russian diplomats.
