Ukraine’s defence forces are holding back the offensive of the russian occupiers. Terrorists continue to destroy Ukrainian towns and villages.
The defence forces are taking all measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory. So far, 67 combat engagements have taken place.
Today, the communities of Bleshnia, Senkivka, Liskivshchyna, Timonovychi in Chernihiv oblast; Stara Huta, Velyka Pysarivka, Kliusy, Studenok, Maryine, Velyka Berizka, Vasylivka, Porozok, Slavhorod, Stepok in Sumy oblast suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire.
Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack near Vovchansk in Kharkiv sector.
In Lyman sector, the invading army launched six attacks on Ukrainian positions near Hrekivka, Nove, Ridkodub, Kolodiazi and in the direction of Hryhorivka. Four firefights are still ongoing.
In Siversk sector, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the vicinity of Bilohorivka, and one battle is ongoing.
In Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled three assault attacks by Russian invaders. The enemy tried to break through in the areas of Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar and Andriivka, another firefight is still ongoing.
In Toretsk sector, our defenders repelled five occupants’ attacks near Ozaryanivka, Dyliivka and Toretsk.
In Pokrovsk sector, the Russian invaders made 36 attempts to push our troops from their positions in the areas of Stara Mykolaivka, Vodiane Druhe, Nova Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Novooleksandrivka, Kotliarivka, Troitske, Andriivka and Bahatyr. Defence forces are holding back the attack and have already repelled 27 enemy attacks.
In Novopavlivka sector, the enemy twice tried to break through the defences of our defenders in the areas of Kostiantynopil and Novopil.
In Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy assaults in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Stepove and Mali Shcherbaky.
In Kherson sector, the enemy attacked once towards the positions of our defenders, but was unsuccessful.
In Kursk sector, there have been four firefights since the beginning of the day, two of which are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy carried out four air strikes, dropping four drones, and fired 134 artillery shells, including seven from multiple launch rocket systems.
There were no major changes in other areas.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, stated that on Sunday morning, russia attacked Pavlivka village in Zaporizhzhia oblast twice. As a result, two women aged 75 and 56 were injured.
The Air Forces reported that on the night of 11 May, after a three-day pause, russia attacked again with 108 Shahed-type strike drones and imitation drones. The air defence forces shot down 60 drones, while another 41 were identified as “locally lost”.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline
The General Staff reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled one russian attack near Vovchansk in Kharkiv sector. In Lyman sector, russia attacked in the direction of Hryhorivka.
The RMA said that over the past day, 161 combat engagements were recorded. In Kharkiv sector, our troops repelled three enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Mala Shapkivka and Kamianka. Three enemy attacks took place in Kupiansk sector yesterday. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Kindrashivka, Synkivka and in the area of Zahryzove.
Attacks
The State Emergency Service of Kharkiv oblast reported that two residents of Sadovoda village in Kupiansk region suffered an acute stress reaction as a result of a KAB strike on the residential sector on the afternoon of 11 May.

The rescue department said that as a result of the attack, two two-storey residential buildings were partially destroyed, and a fire broke out over a total area of 130 sq m, engulfing apartments and outbuildings.

Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv community, informed that one couple, a 53-year-old man and woman, were injured as a result of a Russian FPV drone hitting a car in Baranivka at around 4pm. The wounded were hospitalised.
Viacheslav Zadorenko, Head of Derhachi community, reported that at around 10am, russians struck Kozacha Lopan several times. The drones damaged a shop building that is not working and at least one private house. There is no information on casualties.
Hwad Viktor Kovalenko said that at about 12:32pm, russian FPV drones attacked the village of Ivashky in Zolochiv community. As a result of the strikes, a 54-year-old man sustained shrapnel wounds to his back, he was hospitalised.
Over the past day, 4 settlements came under hostile attack.
A 76-year-old woman and an 82-year-old man were injured in Kupiansk, and a 68-year-old and 73-year-old woman were injured in Blahodativka village of Kindrashivska community.
Russia attacked Borova community with MLRS and CABS, the village council reported. Around 6am, russia shelled Borova with multiple launch rocket systems. Between 9:30 and 11am, russians dropped eight guided aerial bombs on the community – Borova and Horokhovatka were hit. As a result of the russian strikes, private houses and outbuildings were damaged, and no one was injured.
The enemy used various types of weapons in Kharkiv oblast:

▪️ 1 Lancet UAV;
▪️ 1 fpv drone.
Civilian infrastructure was damaged and destroyed:
▪️ in Izium region, a private house, outbuildings, and a garage were damaged;
▪️in Kupiansk region, civilian infrastructure, apartment buildings, private houses, garages, and a car were damaged;
▪️ a car with a diesel station was damaged in Bohodukhiv region.

Other
Over the two years of the yeVidnovlennia programme, residents of Kharkiv oblast have used more than 2,800 housing certificates.
A fighter of the 68th separate jaeger brigade with a call sign Liutyi, reported that the russian troops failed to fulfil the task of the high command in Pokrovsk direction and reach the administrative border between Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. The occupiers tried to fulfil this order during the three-day “truce”.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Denys Volokh, Commander of the unmanned aerial vehicle platoon of the 81st Airborne Brigade, reported that the russian army has amassed a “large number” of motorcycles and is preparing a massive assault in Siversk sector.
The General Staff said that russian troops reduced the number of attacks in the direction of Lyman by more than half over the past day. The russian army stormed eight times near Cherneshchyna, Ridkodub, Nove, Zelena Dolyna, Yampolivka, Olhivka and Kopanky, while the day before there were 17 attacks.
Most of the attacks were repelled by the Defence Forces in Pokrovsk sector – 60, with more than 10 more battles in Toretsk and Novopavlivka sectors.
Attacks
Kramatorsk CMA said that during the day, russian troops dropped three aerial bombs on Kostiantynivka. No casualties, infrastructure damaged. Four private houses were damaged in Kramatorsk as a result of russian shelling. There were no casualties.

Over the day, police recorded 2,267 enemy attacks. Russian troops shelled 9 localities: the towns of Kostiantynivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, and the villages of Berestok, Dovha Balka, Illinivka, Oleksandro-Klenove, Pleshchiyivka, and Yablunivka. 55 civilian objects were destroyed, including 30 residential buildings.

The enemy attacked Kostyantynivka with a KAB-250 bomb, a Smerch MLRS and a drone – a person was wounded, 4 multi-storey buildings, 6 private houses and a car were damaged.
Russian troops dropped a KAB-250 bomb on Myrnohrad, injuring a civilian and damaging 6 houses.
A man was wounded in Pokrovsk as a result of an enemy attack.
Russia shelled the village of Dovha Balka with a Smerch MLRS – 2 garages and 12 vehicles were damaged.
Russian troops dropped a KAB-250 bomb on Berestok, destroying 7 houses.
The invaders attacked Illinivka with Smerch MLRS – 2 houses and a car were damaged.
Luhansk oblast
The RMA reported that the invaders attacked twelve times in Siversk and Lyman directions, looking for ways to advance. Specifically, in the area of Bilohorivka. Combat missions were attempted by 199 unmanned aerial vehicles, which the enemy sent at the frontline settlements and fortifications of our Defenders. The russians fired 11 times from artillery systems.
Residents of Lysychansk not only have no access to basic utilities, but also do not know how to prepare for the coming winter. The city still has no mobile phone or internet connection. Any communication with the emergency services is possible only through a payphone or personal contact. Communication with the outside world, including residents of neighbouring towns, is not possible via wired communications.
In russia, the test mode of the electronic register of summonses has ended. Now it should be available, in particular, in the so-called “lpr”. The summons will be considered received seven days after its publication in the register. Every person in the occupied territory will have to check its presence or absence on their own in order to avoid being subject to restrictions. The problem is that there is no mobile phone or internet connection in parts of the occupied territory. In particular, residents of Lysychansk use payphones.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
The RMA reported that on the morning of 11 May, the enemy attacked Kyiv oblast using a UAV. In Brovary region, a man born in 1954 suffered an acute stress reaction as a result of the attack. A country house was also damaged. In Obukhiv region, five private houses were damaged.
On 10 May, the Mariinsky Palace in Kyiv hosted the first five-party meeting in the United Europe in Ukraine format between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of France Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer, Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz, and Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
The “To Ukraine with Love” Charitable Foundation offers free housing for people aged 70 and over who lost their homes during the war, or whose homes are located in the occupied territories or areas where hostilities are taking place. Accommodation is provided in a comfortable boarding house located in the resort town of Vorzel, Kyiv oblast.
Last week, trees were planted in the Ivankiv forestry of the Kyiv branch of the State Enterprise “Forests of Ukraine” in memory of Ukrainian defenders who have been killed since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia. The event is called the Forest of Memory. The event took place on the de-occupied territory where enemy artillery installations were located during the hostilities. Ivankiv district lost 155 soldiers.
This year, about 1,000 more CCTV cameras will be installed in Kyiv schools. The cameras are being installed along the perimeter and at the entrances of educational institutions to enhance the safety of children and teachers during school.
Zhytomyr oblast
On 10 May, Zhytomyr hosted the Zhytomyr Oblast Open Cross Country Cup among war veterans, combatants and people with war-related disabilities. 500 people joined the race in memory of Oleksandr Busko, a lieutenant colonel and graduate of the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Koroliov, who died in August 2022 in Donetsk oblast.
Sumy oblast
Yurii Lysenko, Stetskivka village elder, reported that in the morning of 11 May, a russian Molniya drone struck Stetskivka in Sumy community, As a result of the explosion, the roof of an auto repair shop was damaged, along with a private car, a fence, and the windows of two houses.
The Regional Military Administration informed that from the morning of 10 May to the morning of 11 May, russian forces carried out over 100 attacks on 31 settlements across 14 territorial communities in the oblast. The enemy actively used guided aerial bombs (nearly 10 strikes), MLRS (over 70 strikes), FPV-drones (30 strikes), and UAV-dropped fragmentation munitions (nearly 30 strikes). Additionally, russian forces conducted an airstrike from a helicopter using NAR-type rockets (10 strikes). The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions.
As a result of russian shelling on 10 May, non-residential buildings were damaged in Popivka community, along with a civil infrastructure facility, a non-residential building, and private houses in Bilopillia community.

Over the past day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and civil society organisations from border communities, evacuated 51 people.
Chernihiv oblast
On 10 May, russian forces attacked four villages across three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (four explosions), an FPV-drone strike (one explosion), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (nine explosions).
In Novhorod-Siverskyi community, as a result of the russian attack, one private house was damaged in each of the villages of Bohdanove and Hremiach.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that since nightfall, russian troops have been attacking the region with drones. The Air defence forces are working there. They have already destroyed 2 enemy UAVs. The attack damaged a farm in the Ukrainian community of Sinelnykivka district.
From evening to morning, the enemy attacked Nikopol region several times. They attacked with kamikaze drones, shelled with artillery and Grad multiple rocket launchers. They targeted Pokrovsk, Marhanets and Myrove communities.
A private house was damaged. The Novopavlivka community of the Synelnykivja region was also hit with multiple rocket launchers.
The occupiers attacked Nikopol region about two dozen times during the day. They used artillery and drones. They targeted the region centre, Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka, Marhanets and Myrove communities. Five private houses, two outbuildings, a car, a garage and a gas pipeline were damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
In Vinnytsia, 69 mothers of fallen defenders were awarded the Order of the Mother of a Soldier.
Cherkasy oblast
A 58-year-old man who was seriously injured during a drone attack on Cherkasy on 6 May died in hospital.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, reported that russian forces launched 3 strikes by glide bombs (KABs) on the frontline Pavlivka village in Zaporizhzhia oblast. A 56-year-old woman was injured in the second strike and a 75-year-old woman sustained severe injuries. Residential buildings were damaged.
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the russian military continues its offensive operations in Orikhiv region near 3 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. On 10 May, russian troops resumed their assaults in the western part of the oblast but made no territorial gains. They conducted attacks toward Novodanylivka and near Stepove and Shcherbaky.
Referring to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 10 May, the Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 15 russian assaults on Orikhiv and Huliaipole regions. Specifically, russian forces launched 13 attacks near Novopil and Novosilka and 2 attacks near Stepove and toward Novodanylivka.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 10 May, russian forces carried out 364 attacks on 11 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. These included 5 airstrikes targeting Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novodarivka and Malynivka.
Mykolaiv oblast
According to the Regional Military Administration, during the night of 11 May, Ukrainian air defence forces shot down 7 Shahed drones over Mykolaiv oblast.
On 10 May, russian forces attacked Kutsurub community by an FPV drone. There were no casualties reported.
Odesa oblast
According to the Ukrainian Navy, as of 6am, no russian naval ships were detected in the Black Sea or the Sea of Azov. In the Mediterranean Sea, there were 3 russian warships, 1 of which was equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles, with a total possible salvo of up to 8 missiles.
Kherson oblast
Based on the information provided by the RMA, russian forces shelled Bilozirka village in Kherson oblast. A shell hit the home of a 61-year-old man while he was in the yard. He was hospitalised with blast trauma and shrapnel wounds to the shoulder blade and thigh.
The russian forces struck Korabelnyi district of Kherson by artillery. A 56-year-old woman suffered blast trauma and a broken arm. A 76-year-old woman sustained blast and cranial injuries, a concussion and shrapnel wounds to her back and thigh. She was hospitalised.
The police reported that in the morning, russian forces attacked a police service vehicle in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson by a drone. A 25-year-old police officer was hospitalised with acoustic trauma. The vehicle was damaged.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of Kherson RMA, said that on 11 May, 1 person was killed and 3 wounded due to russian attacks across Kherson oblast. A total of 29 settlements were targeted. 2 private houses, a mobile communications tower and a vehicle were damaged.

Volyn oblast
A memorial sign has appeared in the center of the village of Mokrets – the Alley of Glory of Fallen Defenders. On the Alley you can see memorial stands of defenders: Kuzmyuk Ihor, Vorobey Maksym, Khilchuk Serhii, Shpakov Serhii and Budchyk Bohdan.
Zakarpattia oblast
Representatives of Uzhhorod City Council paid a working visit to the Obuda-Bekasmedy district in the Hungarian capital, Budapest. The visit was held at the invitation of Ondras Beres, Deputy Mayor of Budapest. They discussed the prospects for expanding inter-municipal cooperation and establishing partnerships.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk community has allocated financial support within the framework of the Side by Side: United Communities project for Kupiansk. The amount of assistance is UAH 980,000.
Lviv oblast
A charity auction of Unity for Victory was held in Lviv oblast, organized in the Pidhirtsi Castle to mark the 11th anniversary of the creation of the National Guard of Ukraine. During the event, over UAH 7.5m was raised for the rehabilitation and spiritual rest of the defenders.
Drohobych RMA, the KOLO Volunteer Center and Boryslav City Council sent 100 fpv drones worth UAH 1,285m to military personnel.
Rivne oblast
The 1st regional stage of the Veterans Games 2025 All-Ukrainian competition has started in Rivne oblast. Over 100 participants from different parts of Ukraine gathered in the city of Zdolbuniv, where the grand opening of the competition took place at the local sports complex. Veterans demonstrated their endurance and team spirit in table tennis and sitting volleyball competitions.
Ternopil oblast
Ternopil City Council reported that military personnel will receive a one-time cash grant of UAH 10,000 for equipment.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
By Europe Day, communities in Khmelnytskyi oblast received new school buses. The purchase of buses was made possible thanks to the cooperation of the government of Ukraine and the European Union within the framework of the implementation of the Ukraine Facility project. UAH 43.2m was allocated for the purchase, of which UAH 31.5m was additional subsidy from the state budget and another UAH 11.7m was co-financing from local budgets.
Chernivtsi oblast
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, awarded Mykhailo Yarynych, Bukovyna soldier, Senior Lieutenant of the Medical Service with the Defender of the Fatherland medal. Mykhailo Yarynych was a deputy of Chernivtsi City Council, in 2022 he resigned early and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
The US approved the transfer of long-range missiles and Patriot from Germany to Ukraine. The package will include 125 long-range artillery missiles – meaning ammunition for HIMARS and MARS II systems. Also 100 interceptor missiles for Patriot missile defense systems.
Germany announces the strengthening of sanctions against the russian federation not only in the US, but also in Europe, if moscow does not agree to a truce.
Friedrich Merz, German Chancellor, announced that discussions on German arms supplies to Ukraine will no longer be held publicly. The purpose of the secrecy of the data is to deprive the enemy of military advantage.
Hakan Fidan, Turkish Foreign Minister, stated that the country supports efforts for an unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine.
