The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding back the advance of russian occupiers. Terrorists continue to destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with rocket, air and artillery strikes.

The Defense Forces are taking measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory. At this time, 75 combat clashes have taken place.

Khrinivka in Chernihiv oblast; Prokhody, Stepok, Turyia, Riasne, Slavhorod, Petrushivka, Kucherivka, Maryine, Velyka Pysarivka, Pokrovka, Ulanov, Popivka, Oleksandriia, Riasne in Sumy oblast were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire. Enemy aircraft also struck the settlements of Mykolaivka in Chernihiv oblast with guided aerial bombs; Petrushivka, Prokhody, Myropylske, Osoiivka, Taratutyne, Krasnopillia, Velykyi Prykil in Sumy oblast.

Towards Kupiansk, russian occupiers attacked the positions of the Defense Forces seven times in the vicinity of Holubivka, Nova Kruhliakivka and Zahryzove, and three clashes are currently ongoing.

Towards Lyman, the invading army carried out 12 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Nadiia, Hrekivka, Nove and Katerynivka. Four clashes are still ongoing.

Towards Siversk, Ukrainian defenders are repelling the enemy attack near Ivano-Daryivka.

Towards Kramatorsk, Ukrainian defenders repelled two assaults by russian invaders. The enemy is trying to break through near Kurdiumivka and Orikhovo-Vasylivka.

Towards Toretsk, Ukrainian defenders repelled five attacks near Dachny, Druzhba and Toretsk, and another battle is ongoing.

Towards Pokrovsk, russian invaders made 26 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their occupied positions in the vicinity of the settlements of Kalynove, Tarasivka, Yelizavetivka, Pishchane, Udachne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Nadiivka and Andriivka. The defense forces are holding back the onslaught and repelling 24 enemy attacks, two battles are still ongoing. The settlement of Bahatyr was subjected to airstrikes.

Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy tried three times to break through the defenses of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Rozlyv and Rozdolne.

Towards Huliaipole, three clashes with the enemy took place in the vicinity of the settlements of Pryvilne, Novosilka, and Burlatske.

The settlement of Huliaipole was subjected to airstrikes by assault aircraft, and the enemy used GABs to strike Novopil and Shevchenko.

Towards Orikhiv, Ukrainian soldiers repelled two enemy attacks in the vicinity of ​​Maly Shcherbaky.

Towards Kherson, the enemy tried three times to approach the positions of our defenders, but was unsuccessful.

Towards Kursk, there were ten clashes, three of which are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched 25 airstrikes, dropping 41 anti-aircraft missiles, and carried out 259 artillery attacks, including 16 from multiple launch rocket systems.

In the remaining directions, there were no significant changes.


The Bring Kids Back UA initiative reports that 2 teenagers were returned from the temporarily occupied territory. It is known that russia threatened to mobilize an 18-year-old boy into the ranks of its army, and a 17-year-old girl was forcibly taken to russia. 

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that at least several hundred Chinese citizens are fighting as part of russian occupation forces.

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

Towards Kharkiv, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy attacks near Vovchansk.

Towards Kupiansk, there were five attacks. The defense forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions in the vicinity of Nova Kruhliakivka, Pishchane and Zahryzove.

Shelling

The RMA reports that at dawn, russian aviation carried out two strikes with guided aerial bombs on the outskirts of the village of Kalynove, one strike near the village of Karasivka and three more near the village of Sosnovka. 

At 22:28, russians attacked the city of Kupiansk. As a result of the GAB hit, the building of a medical institution and a garage were damaged. 8 garages and three cars in an area of ​​320 sq m caught fire. A 61-year-old man was injured.

At 22:13, russians attacked the city of Kupiansk. As a result of the GAB hitting the yard of a private household, a private house was damaged, garbage burned on an area of ​​20 sq.m. Also, 7 more private houses, a garage, and a barn were damaged during the shelling. A 62-year-old man and a 74-year-old woman were injured.

At 18:50, russians attacked Kupiansk region, Stetskivka village, open area. As a result of shelling (previously MLRS), grass burned on an area of ​​400 sq. m.

At 17:59, russians attacked Bohodukhiv region, Baranivka village, outside. As a result of shelling (previously 4 KABs), an open area was hit.

At 17:55, russians attacked Kupiansk region, Hrushivka village. As a result of shelling, reeds burned on an area of ​​2.9 ha.

At 17:05, russians attacked Kupiansk. Structural elements of a warehouse building with an area of ​​5 sq.m. were on fire. Windows were also broken in an apartment building.

At 16:50, russians attacked Izium region, the village of Borova. As a result of the GAB hitting the ground, a tree was burning in an area of ​​2 sq.m., two two-story residential buildings, two kindergarten buildings (previously damaged), and an ambulance were damaged.

At 10:52, russians attacked Izium. Structural elements of an unoperated building with an area of ​​5 sq.m. were on fire. Windows in a private house, three market buildings, and the MAF were damaged (glazing and facade).

At 08:45, russians attacked Izium. As a result of the hit of the Shahed UAV in an open area, near the fire and rescue unit, the building was damaged (glazing of 7 windows, 2 gates) and a private house opposite (glazing and roof). A 49-year-old woman was injured.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning summary that russian troops continue to press towards Pokrovsk. On April 10, the Defense Forces repelled more than fifty russian attacks near Romanivka, Oleksandropil, Serhiivka and other settlements.

The russian federation stormed Ukrainian positions towards Toretsk near Diliivka, Druzhba and Toretsk 22 times.

Shelling

russian troops carried out 3,261 shelling attacks along the front line and residential sector. 7 settlements were under fire: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Sloviansk, Toretsk, the village of Zarichne, the villages of Diliivka, Ivanopillia, and Illinivka. Three civilian objects were destroyed.

One person was injured in Zarichne.

In Kostiantynivka, an enterprise building was damaged as a result of artillery shelling.

In Illinivka, an enemy Molniya-1 UAV damaged an agricultural facility.

Other

The press service of Donetsk State Emergency Service reported that towards Donetsk, pyrotechnicians are inspecting cemeteries on the eve of Easter and memorial days.

Luhansk oblast

In Luhansk oblast, russians directed 197 drones at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and villages located along the line of combat contact . The enemy fired 11 times with artillery. It also used a multiple launch rocket system. The fighting took place near Nadiia, Hrekivka and Belohorivka.

The so-called “Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the lpr” reported that all this time they could not organize preventive measures to prevent forest fires, as well as timely participate in extinguishing them due to the lack of specialized equipment. In particular, the eight forest departments of the “lpr” have only three firefighting vehicles. Some territories have been occupied by russia for 11 years, but are still not provided with basic security needs. Last year alone, 450 forest and steppe fires broke out there. 12 thousand hectares of forests were engulfed in flames.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, announced that the first public recruitment centre of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has been launched in Kyiv. It will become a platform for selecting candidates who will be interviewed and tested. The main goal is to attract highly skilled and motivated people to military intelligence.

The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that two russian soldiers will be tried for war crimes committed during the occupation of Bucha. It has been established that a shooter-assistant grenade launcher of the 6th Airborne Assault Company of the 2nd Battalion Tactical Group, together with another russian military, killed a civilian resident of Bucha in March 2022. It is noted that they started shooting at the man, who was trying to find food near a supermarket during the occupation.

Kyiv oblast will establish partnerships and twinning with the regions of Spain, as well as expand existing cooperation. These issues were discussed during a meeting between the head of the regional military administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine, Ricardo Lopez-Aranda Hagu. The parties addressed a wide range of issues, from the security situation in the oblast to infrastructure reconstruction, modernisation of social institutions and implementation of energy-efficient solutions.

Kyiv Regional State Administration, together with the municipality of Madrid, participates in the Horizon Europe – RIVCircular programme, which is aimed at economic development of the oblast and creation of an innovative ecosystem. Sister-city relations have already been established between individual communities of the oblast and Spanish cities. Spanish partners provide assistance to Kyiv oblast communities with medicines and generators.

Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk announced that Bucha has signed an agreement to complete five buildings that will accommodate 990 students in 33 classes. The project will be co-financed by the Bucha City Council and the European Investment Bank.

A conference is taking place in Pereyaslav, Boryspil district, where experts from different countries are discussing mental health and psychological well-being.

Zhytomyr oblast

Vitalii Bunechko, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that a russian drone strike on Ozerne in Zhytomyr oblast on 10 April killed one person and wounded six others. A child born in 2011 was among the wounded and taken to Kyiv’s Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital. 

The RMA reported that an enemy drone hit a multi-storey building, causing a fire. At least 5 buildings and a grocery store were damaged. The main consequences of the destruction were eliminated around 12 am. The owners of more than 100 damaged apartments have started receiving protective sheeting, building materials and assistance with priority repairs.

Sumy oblast

Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported that over the past week, the intensity of enemy assault actions on the border of Sumy oblast has increased by 30%. In the last seven days, russian forces carried out 47 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian defenders. The enemy is focusing its efforts towards Zhuravka and Basivka.

On the afternoon of 11 April, Mykola Noha, community head, informed that russian forces struck the Ivot Starosta Region of Shostka community. As a result of Shahed drone attack on an agricultural enterprise, buildings, agricultural machinery, and a power line were damaged. Two explosions were recorded.

According to the Regional Military Administration, as a result of shelling in Krasnopillia community, a non-residential building was damaged, a private house was destroyed, and a car caught fire. Across the community, the enemy carried out 33 mortar strikes, 18 artillery strikes, one UAV strike, three FPV-drone strikes, launched eight guided aerial bombs, and dropped an explosive device from a UAV.

As a result of a UAV attack on Shostka community, a non-residential building was damaged.

During the night and morning, russian forces carried out 38 shellings of border areas and settlements in Sumy oblast. A total of 96 explosions were recorded. Yunakivka, Krasnopillia, Esman, Shostka, and Seredyna-Buda communities came under fire.

Throughout 10 April, russian forces carried out 113 shellings in Sumy oblast, with a total of 254 strikes recorded. The enemy used mortars (75 explosions), MLRS (61 explosions), artillery (35 explosions), FPV-drones (22 explosions), launched unguided rockets (4 explosions), guided aerial bombs (46 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (10 explosions). Nine communities came under enemy fire: Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Bilopillia, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorodske.

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that as a result of enemy shelling on 10 April in Krasnopillia community, a non-residential building was destroyed.

Chernihiv oblast

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reported that on the afternoon of 11 April, russian forces attacked a village in Semenivka community by FPV-drones, located less than 10 kilometers from the border with russia. The strike caused a fire, destroying the village elder’s house.

Chernihiv Border Detachment informed that throughout 10 April, russian forces shelled two villages in Semenivka community in Chernihiv oblast. The enemy carried out 10 strikes by barrel artillery on Tymonovychi and 3 FPV-drone strikes on Zarichchia.

According to the Department of Civil Protection and Defence Work of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, as a result of the fall of debris from russian Geran-2 UAVs in Chernihiv oblast on 10 April, two explosions were recorded. One explosion occurred in Nizhyn region, and the other in Chernihiv region.

Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, citing the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, announced that The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has expanded its modular grain storage program to Chernihiv oblast. A total of 54 modular grain storage units will be provided to selected agricultural producers in the oblast.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council, reported that the occupiers were firing at Nikopol region with drones at night and in the morning. They targeted the regional centre and Marhanets community. Also in the evening, russian troops sent a kamikaze drone at the Hrushevka community of Kryvyi Rih region. Infrastructure was damaged. According to updated information, 9 people were injured in yesterday’s attack on Dnipro. 

During the day, the enemy attacked Nikopol region with drones about fifteen times. They targeted the regional centre, Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrov communities. A 39-year-old man was injured and will be treated at home. An administrative building, 13 cars, 2 buses and infrastructure were damaged. 

In Kryvyi Rih, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine and Serhii Lysak, Head of Dnipropetrovsk RMA, paid tribute to those killed in the russian attacks on 4 April. President Zelenskyy also visited a medical facility where injured soldiers are being treated. He spoke to the soldiers and awarded them with the Order for Courage, third class.

Vinnytsia oblast

Serhii Morhunov, Mayor of Vinnytsia, reported  that ​the military has received 150 10-inch FPV drones from the Phoenix unit of the Revenge Brigade in Vinnytsia region. 

An open table tennis championship among war veterans was held in Vinnytsia as part of the Power of Titans project. The competition was attended by 20 defenders of Ukraine who are undergoing rehabilitation through sports and returning to active life.

Kirovohrad oblast

In Kirovohrad oblast, in one of the villages of Petrivka community, a drone fragment damaged windows in four private houses. The panels of a solar power plant were smashed in one of the yards. Street lighting was also damaged. In Kropyvnytskyi region, a fence was damaged and windows were smashed on the territory of a private enterprise in Adzhamka community as a result of the fall of enemy Shahed fragments.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, reported that the military received 150 FPV drones of various models and 66 electronic warfare devices from Cherkasy oblast. 

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

On 11 April, the russian army attacked civilian vehicles with FPV drones in Polohy and Zaporizhzhia regions. As a result of the attack, residential buildings were damaged. The blast wave and shrapnel damaged windows and roofing in residential buildings.

On 10 April, the occupiers carried out 531 attacks on 13 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces launched 5 airstrikes on Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novodarivka, and Shcherbaky. 330 UAVs of various modifications attacked Bilenke Pershe, Kamianske, Stepove, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Preobrazhenka, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. 10 MLRS attacks targeted Stepove, Novodanylivka, and Novoandriivka. Additionally, there were 186 artillery strikes at Kamianske, Stepove, Lobkove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. Authorities received six reports of damage to private homes, farm buildings, and vehicles.

Three clashes with the enemy took place near the settlements of Pryvilne, Novosilka, and Burlatske towards Huliaipole. Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks near Maly Shcherbaky and Orikhiv.

Mykolaiv oblast

On 10 April, at 07:23, the enemy carried out an artillery strike, and at 12:23, they attacked Kutsurub community with an FPV drone. There were no casualties.

Odesa oblast

As of 6:00 am there were 3 carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles in the Mediterranean Sea with a total salvo capacity of up to 26 missiles.

3 vessels passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea in russia’s interests, while 6 more ships entered the Sea of Azov.

Kherson oblast

At 13:00, russians attacked Dniprovskyi district in Kherson. As a result of the attack, five people were injured. A 71-year-old woman and a 73-year-old man sustained blast injuries, concussions, and bruises. A 56-year-old resident of Kherson suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg. An 80-year-old woman sustained a blast injury, wounds to her lower back and legs, while a 49-year-old man was diagnosed with a blast injury and a neck wound.

At approximately 10:30, russians attacked a man in Kherson with a drone. The 44-year-old resident sustained a blast injury, a bone fracture, and shrapnel wounds to his legs.

Two Kherson residents sought medical assistance after their car was attacked by the occupiers around 11:00. A 68-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were diagnosed with blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to their limbs.

Yesterday, russian attacks targeted Kherson, Antonivka, Prydniprovske, Nezlamne, Inzhenerne, Zelenivka, Bilozerka, Priozerne, Stanislav, Mykilske, Beryslav, Novoraisk, Burhunka, Novovorontsovka, Novooleksandrivka, Havrylivka, Monastyrske, and Petropavlivka. russian shelling damaged 15 sites, including three apartment buildings, nine private houses, a store, a vehicle, and a gas pipeline. One person was killed, and six were injured due to russian aggression.

It is reported that the enemy carried out two unsuccessful attacks against Ukrainian positions towards Kherson. Over the past day, russian losses amounted to 73 personnel, 10 artillery systems, 55 vehicles and armored units, four Supercam UAVs, one Orlan UAV, one Sarych-2 UAV, two electronic warfare stations, one boat, two ATVs, two motorcycles, six Starlink antennas, seven communication antennas, three generators, one ammunition storage site, one fuel storage site, seven observation posts, one transformer, and one firing position. 58 shelters and bunkers were destroyed.

Volyn oblast

Lutsk community sent EW Shelter 6, DJI Mavic 3T 11 DJI Mavic 3PRO, 3 EcoFlow, Starlink, 10 FPV drones, 11 inverter generators, 6 VAMPIRE 66000 mAh batteries, a battery charger, and 25 Motorola radios to the military.

Zakarpattia oblast

The Regional Council held a meeting with Christoph Kamp, OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities. They discussed current issues of ethnic community affairs, the specifics of educational, socio-political processes in the oblast and communication with representatives of minorities.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, a memory board was installed for the fallen defender Roman Kokhan, sniper in the 2nd Airborne Assault Company of the 1st Airborne Assault Battalion of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. Roman, from the 1st days of the war, without hesitation, went to defend Ukraine. He was killed on 28 April, 2022, defending Ukraine in Kharkiv oblast.

Lviv oblast

Prince Harry visited Lviv and met with Ukrainian defenders. The Duke of Sussex, accompanied by four veterans, visited Superhumans Center clinic, where wounded soldiers are treated. His visit was kept secret until his departure.

With the support of international partners, the UNBROKEN Rehabilitation Center is being reconstructed in Briukhovychi. The work is planned to be completed by the end of 2025. The symbolic capsule of the beginning of the renovation work was laid today.

A meeting was held in Lviv with representatives of the WFP Lviv Field Office, led by Ellen Kramer. They discussed further development of humanitarian programs supported by WFP

Rivne oblast

Almost 43,000 IDPs are officially living in the oblast. Leaders among the community that sheltered IDPs are Rivne (17,682 people), Dubno (3,785), Berezniv (3,718), Vara (3,134), Kostopil (3,284) and Zdolbuniv (3,071).

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil educators donated a refrigerated truck for the needs of the military personnel of the 3rd Assault Brigade. Funds for the purchase of equipment were collected by heads of schools, kindergartens, vocational education institutions, as well as teachers, educators, students and parents.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

In Khmelnytskyi community, UAH 75m was donated directly to military units. Since the beginning of the year, UAH 146m has already been transferred.

Chernivtsi oblast

In the 1st three months of 2025, UAH 39.8m was allocated from the regional and local budgets of Chernivtsi oblast for the purchase of UAVs and components for them, anti-drone shields, auto parts, and payment for equipment repair services by military units.

A canine therapy center has opened in Bukovyna. This is the fourth therapy center with specially trained dogs in Ukraine after Kyiv, Rivne, and Myrhorod, which opens its doors with the support of the Royal Canin Foundation. Canine therapy sessions at the center are available free of charge to Ukrainians affected by the war, IDPs and their families, as well as military personnel and veterans.

48 servicemen were sent abroad for treatment as part of a medical evacuation. They are already waiting in clinics in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden.
