It has been the 1111 th day of the Ukrainian resistance to the russian military aggression.

What happened in Ukraine today:

Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:   

There were 84 combat engagements. Our defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the line and destroying the russians’ plans.

The border areas of Ukrainian settlements suffered from Russian artillery shelling, including Popivka, Khodyne, Dmytrivka, and Ulanove in Sumy oblast; Karpovychi in Chernihiv oblast; and Vidrodzhenivske in Kharkiv oblast.

Towards Kharkiv, the Ukrainian defence forces repelled two enemy attacks near Vovchansk, and one battle is still ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched an air strike with guided bombs in the area of Mala Vovcha.

Towards Kupiansk, the enemy attempted to advance towards our positions in the areas of Lozova, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Bohuslavka five times during the day, but was rebuffed.  

The aggressor increased the number of attacks to nine towards Lyman. They attacked near the settlements of Nove, Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Kolodyazi, Zelena Dolyna, Yampolivka, Novolyubivka and Torske, one battle is still ongoing.

Towards Siversk, the enemy has already made nine attacks today, eight of which have been repelled by Ukrainian troops. Occupants’ units are trying to advance in the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnekamianske.   

Towards Kramatorsk, our defenders repelled one enemy attack towards Bila Hora.  

Towards Toretsk, the aggressor tried to advance 16 times in the areas of Dachne, Kurdiumivka, Krymske, Druzhba, Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Seven firefights are currently underway.  

Towards Pokrovsk, the enemy started clashes of varying intensity 14 times. Our defenders repelled all attacks in the areas of Valentynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Kotlyarivka, Oleksiivka and Andriivka. The enemy’s aviation struck Leontovychi and Zvirove with precision-guided missiles.  

Towards Novopavlivka, Ukrainian defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks near the localities of Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Skudne, Burlatske and in the direction of Vesele. Five firefights are still ongoing.

Towards Huliaipole, in the areas of Novosilka and Pryvilne, three combat engagements have been completed so far, and three more attacks are ongoing. At the same time, the settlements of Voskresenka, Shevchenko, Novodarivka, Gulyaypole and Zaliznychne were attacked by air strikes with UAVs and unguided missiles.

Towards Orikhiv, the invaders advanced five times near Novodanilivka, Pyatikhatky and in the direction of Stepove, with three clashes still ongoing. Mala Tokmachka came under attack from UAVs.

Towards Kherson, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to attack the positions of our defenders.  Lviv suffered from an air strike by NARA.

In Kursk oblast, Ukrainian defenders repelled two invaders’ attacks. In addition, the enemy carried out 14 air strikes, downing 24 drones, and fired 158 artillery shells, including ten from multiple launch rocket systems.  

In other areas, there were no significant changes in the situation.  

Ukrainian troops are depleting the enemy along the entire frontline and in the rear.


Over the three years of the full-scale war, russia has killed 97 journalists in Ukraine. According to the Institute of Mass Information, 12 of them were killed while performing their professional duties, 72 as combatants, and 13 as a result of shelling or torture. Also, right now, Russia is illegally detaining at least 30 Ukrainian journalists. In total, 104 media professionals have been killed since 2014.

Vasyl Maliuk, Head of the SBU, reported that over the 2 years of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 102 enemy agent networks have been discovered. Among them are those that intended to eliminate President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy. An assassination attempt was planned during Easter last year. A terrorist attack was planned in a French hypermarket. When there were a lot of people there during the rush hour after 6pm, explosive devices were supposed to explode in places where there were flammable mixtures.There was also an attempt on the life of the head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Budanov.

Recent war events in the east of Ukraine

Kharkiv oblast

Frontline

The General Staff reported that towards Kharkiv, Ukrainian defence forces repelled two Russian assaults near Vovchansk, one battle is still ongoing as of 4pm. In addition, the occupier launched an air strike with guided aerial bombs in the area of Mala Vovcha, and Vidrodzhenivske came under artillery fire.

Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for the Khortytsia military unit, said that the defence forces are trying to drive out the invaders who managed to cross the ice to the right bank of the Oskil River. He assumes that after the ice melts on the Oskil, the russian military will return to the tactics they used before – attempts to transfer groups by boat.

Towards Kupiansk, the occupiers attempted to advance towards Ukrainian positions in the areas of Lozova, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Bohuslavka five times during the day, but were repelled.

The RMA reported that yesterday towards Kharkiv our troops repelled six enemy attacks in the area of Vovchansk. Four enemy attacks took place towards Kupiansk yesterday.

Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Lozova, Petropavlivka and Zahryzove.

The State Border Guard Service said that border guards of the Pomsta (Revenge) brigade destroyed a russian multiple rocket launcher system ‘Soncepyok’ towards Kupiansk, which is capable of firing rockets at a distance of up to 6km.

Attacks 

At 11:40pm, Pokrovske village came under attack by russian forces.

The building of the slaughterhouse of the poultry complex and refrigeration units were damaged as a result of the hit of 2 Shahed UAVs.

At 11:26pm, Verkhnozorianske village was under russian attack. As a result of the hit of 2 Shahed UAVs, a fire broke out on the territory of the agricultural enterprise. The hangar, 6 tractors, 1 truck were damaged and the structural elements of the hangar were burning. There were no casualties.

Around 4pm, outside of Slatyne was hit. A private residential building was damaged as a result of the shelling by the UAF. There was no information about the victims.

Around 1pm, Ivashky village came under attack of the russian Federation. As a result of the explosion of an explosive object dropped by an enemy drone, three civilians died: a woman and two men. Another woman was wounded.

At 9:45am, Borova village was attacked. As a result of the hit of 1 MRLS on the previously destroyed building, dry grass was burning in the open area. 2 private houses, the building of Borova municipal enterprise, 3 cars were damaged. There were no reports of casualties. In total, three missile launchers were spotted.

At around 8:25am, Borova community was targeted. As a result of the shelling, power lines were damaged, 2 settlements of Pisky-Radkivski and Maliivka were left without electricity. Restoration works are ongoing.

The press service of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that the three people who died in a fire at a meatpacking plant in Bohodukhiv on 8 March, caused by a russian drone strike, have been identified using DNA testing.

Other

The RMA reported tha the first municipally owned mobile pharmacy has been launched in the oblast.  The launch of mobile pharmacies is one of the solutions to improve the availability of medicines in remote settlements of Kharkiv oblast. The pharmacies sell both prescription and over-the-counter medicines, as well as those subject to reimbursement under the government’s Affordable Medicines programme, meaning that their cost is fully or partially covered by the state.

Donetsk oblast

Frontline

Viktor Trehubov, spokesman for the Khortytsia military unit, reported that the heavy fighting continues in the area of Ulakli and Kostiantynopil towards Novopavlivka. On the afternoon of 10 March, Deepstate analysts wrote that Russian troops had advanced near Ulakly.

On 9 March, the russian army used more than 24 pieces of equipment for assaults towards Siversk. Dmytro Zaporozhets, Spokesman for Luhansk military operation, said that the defence forces destroyed 16 armoured vehicles and damaged eight more.

The General Staff reported that Ukrainian defence forces repelled 20 russian attacks in the sector in the last 24 hours. The enemy units tried to advance in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhnokamianske and in the direction of Serebrianka. There were no attacks in the sector on 8 March.

Towards Novopavlivka, russian troops tried to break through five times near Skudne, Burlatske and Kostiantynopil.

Attacks

Serhii Horbunov, Head of the RMA, informed that in the morning, russian troops fired at Kostiantynivka with various types of weapons. According to him, the russian army attacked with a Molniya-1 strike UAV, three FAB-250s with an UMPK module and 152mm cannon artillery.

Yesterday police recorded 3,826 hostile attacks along the frontline and in the residential sector. Eight localities were under fire: the towns of Druzhkivka, Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Mykolaivka, Pokrovsk, and the villages of Zoria, Ivanopillia, and Poltavka. 92 civilian objects were damaged, including 72 residential buildings.

Russians struck Pokrovsk five times, killing two civilians and wounding another. One apartment block and 7 private houses, 2 administrative buildings, and 7 garages were destroyed.

In Illinivka community, the enemy dropped 2 FAB-250 bombs on Zoria, killing one person and injuring one, and damaging 5 private houses. Another bomb hit Poltavka, injuring a civilian and damaging 9 private houses.

In Druzhkivka, three shells hit a civilian and damaged 11 private houses.

Russian troops shelled the Lyman with Smerch multiple rocket launchers, wounding two civilians and damaging 13 private houses, 3 outbuildings, 2 gas pipelines and 2 power lines.

The enemy hit Mykolaivka with a FAB-250 bomb, damaging 25 private houses and disrupting communications. In Kostyantynivka, an enemy UAV damaged a private house.

In Dnipropetrovsk oblast, the wounded are being treated after the russian army attacked Dobropillia on the evening of 7 March. Of the 11 injured, four are in extremely critical condition.

Luhansk oblast

Yesterday there were 11 hostile attacks towards Lyman frontline and another 20 towards Siversk. According to the RMA, the invaders attacked near Novoliubivka, Balka Zhuravka, and Bilohorivka. They received artillery support seven times. They sent 214 drones towards our fortifications.

The occupiers brought the village of Nyzhne in Hirska Hromada under the control of Sokolohirsk. A bus even comes from there once a week. The three hundred people who are left are surviving without electricity, water, and communication. Even a pharmacy has not yet been opened in Nizhne – everyone is fighting for their lives on their own.

Residents of an apartment block in the new areas of the city became another victim of the builders. The quality of the “restored” roof was already evident during the first rainfall. The sewerage system did not last much longer – everything around was flooded. The damaged staircases were replaced with new, larger ones – now the stairs end well above the floor level.

What is happening now in the north of Ukraine

Kyiv oblast

KCMA reported that an air raid alert was activated in Kyiv at night for 3 hours and 28 minutes. On the outskirts of the capital, 16 enemy UAVs were spotted. 12 of them were destroyed by air defence systems, the rest were lost or left the airspace.

The RMA informed that Kyiv oblast registered the consequences of the russian attack in three districts. Roofs of private houses were damaged in Obukhiv and Bucha regions. In Fastiv and Bucha regions, grass fires caused by the fall of downed drone debris were extinguished.

The SES noted that in Bucha, a local resident found four 30mm artillery shells while walking his dog. The sappers were called to the scene, confirmed the danger and seized the ammunition for further destruction.

Tymur Tkachenko, Head of the City Military Administration, announced that private cars will not be evacuated in Kyiv during the air raid. The only exceptions will be cars that will impede the movement of rescue, special municipal, military equipment, public transport, and ambulances.

The stamp “We have the honour to fight evil!” was precancelled in Kyiv to honour the third anniversary of the 21st separate Special Forces battalion. The battalion was formed in March 2022 and took part in the defence of Kyiv oblast and a number of settlements in Donetsk oblast.

Zhytomyr oblast

The SES specialists held an educational information event “Beware of Mines” for students of Zhytomyr Road College. During the event, the rescuers used 3D stands and video materials to tell the audience about the most common types of ammunition, their explosive properties and reminded the participants of the algorithm of actions when detecting explosive objects.

In Malyn, the wives of fallen soldiers organised a charity exhibition of paintings and are collecting money for the military. The exhibition “Love Stories on Canvas” will run until 16 March at the House of Culture and Leisure.

Sumy oblast

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the situation at Sumy oblast border with russia’s Kursk oblast is under the control of Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Despite the involvement of a significant number of russian troops, reinforced by North Korean infantry, the enemy is suffering substantial losses in personnel and equipment. In Plekhove area alone, the enemy has lost almost an entire infantry battalion in four days of fighting, as stated in the report.

Andrii Demchenko, Spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service, reported that in Kursk oblast, russian military forces are attempting to advance into Ukraine to cut off logistic routes that support the Defense Forces. This activity is particularly noted near Novenke and Zhuravka villages. On other fronts, no groups capable of a large-scale invasion into Ukraine have been detected.

Iryna Yukhta, Acting Head of Krasnopillia Community, informed that on 10 March, around 9am, the russian army struck Mykhailivske village in Krasnopillia community. As a result of the drone strike, an enterprise was damaged. 

In Krasnopillia community, russian military forces attacked a civilian car by a drone while it was moving through Riasne village. As a result of the attack, the 52-year-old driver was injured. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the car was attacked around 7am on 10 March. 

Nadiia Vailo, Head of Hlukhiv community, said that around 11am, the russian army struck Hlukhiv by an FPV-drone. As a result of the attack, a gas station was damaged.

During the night and morning of 10 March, russian military forces carried out 23 shelling attacks on Sumy oblast. A total of 39 explosions were recorded. According to the Regional Military Administration, the communities of Yunakivka, Krasnopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, and Esman were affected.

In the skies over Sumy oblast, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 14 enemy Shahed drones.

Throughout the past day, 9 March, russian forces carried out 119 shelling attacks on Sumy oblast. A total of 170 strikes were recorded. The enemy used mortars (32 explosions), artillery (31 explosions), FPV-drones (51 explosions), conducted airstrikes by GABs (5 explosions), NARs (6 explosions), and dropped VOGs from UAVs (45 explosions). The affected communities were Verkhnia Syrovatka, Mykolaivka village, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Velyka Pysarivka, Esman, Khutir-Mykhailivska, Seredyna-Buda, and Svesa.

Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that as a result of russian shelling on 9 March, a private residential house in Mykolaivka community was damaged.

National Police of Sumy Oblast informed that the crew of the White Angels unit evacuated a family with three children from a shelled village in Sumy oblast. The mother was taking care of the children alone, as their father is on the front line.

Chernihiv oblast

Pavlo Miroshnychenko, Head of Koriukivka Regional Military Administration, reported that in Hirske village, Snovsk community, on 8 March, russian military forces dropped an incendiary mixture from an FPV-drone on civilian houses. As a result, a local resident born in 1966 was killed. Additionally, two houses and outbuildings were burned down as a result of the attack.

Throughout the day on 9 March, russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv region: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar shelling (22 explosions) and artillery shelling (6 explosions), used FPV-drones (11 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (31 explosions). According to Chernihiv Border Detachment, eleven villages were under enemy fire.

In Mykhailchyna Sloboda village, Novhorod-Siverskyi community, two private houses were damaged as a result of shelling, and dry grass caught fire.

The Department of Civil Protection and Defense Work of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reported that in Khotiivka village, Semenivka community, a utility building and the roof of a private house in another household were destroyed as a result of shelling.

According to Chernihiv police, in Pryluky region, five residential houses were damaged as a result of a russian drone attack. Additionally, russian shelling caused destruction and fire damage to houses and utility buildings in the border communities of Novhorod-Siverskyi and Koriukivka regions.

Viacheslav Chaus, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that last week, russian forces shelled 26 settlements in four regions of the oblast. In total, the enemy carried out 161 shelling attacks, resulting in 296 explosions. Specifically, russian military forces conducted 8 airstrikes by cruise and unguided missiles, and 45 strikes by UAVs (Shaheds and FPV drones). As a result of russian shelling in a border village of Koriukivka region, a civilian man born in 1966 was killed. Critical infrastructure facilities, educational institutions, a school canteen, people’s homes, non-residential buildings, and utility structures were hit by russian army strikes.

Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine

Dnipropetrovsk oblast

In the evening, russian forces attacked Velyka Mykhailivka community in Synelnykove region by KABs. Also, they shelled Nikopol by artillery.

Air defence forces operated late into the night, with the military from the Air Command East shooting down 6 enemy drones over the oblast.

The russian forces targeted 2 regions – Nikopol and Synelnykove. Nikopol region was hit about 15 times, including attacks on Nikopol, Pokrov, Marhanets and Myrove communities. Due to the strikes, a car caught fire in Nikopol in the morning and was destroyed. 5 more vehicles, a hospital, industrial and municipal enterprises, shops, a religious institution, an administrative building, farm structures, a greenhouse, a power line and a gas pipeline were damaged. In Novopavlivka and Mezhova communities of Synelnykove region, russian forces dropped KABs and launched a drone strike. As a result, 7 private houses and an agricultural enterprise were damaged.

Vinnytsia oblast

​During the night, air defence forces were active, successfully destroying enemy drones over the oblast. There were no casualties or damage reported.

Mayor Serhii Morhunov reported that Vinnytsia oblast transferred 20 off-road vehicles to 4 units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. These vehicles will strengthen the Shahed hunter brigades that protect the city’s and oblast’s infrastructure.

Cemeteries in Vinnytsia oblast have been equipped with QR-code memorials to assist in locating the graves of fallen defenders. The QR codes link to an online resource providing information about the deceased and directions to their burial sites. The platform includes data on Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred and those who were killed in the russian-Ukrainian war since 2014.

Kirovohrad oblast

Andrii Raikovych, Head of the RMA, informed that during the night, mobile fire groups were actively working in the oblast. There was no damage recorded.

Vitalina Bevzenko, Spokesperson of the regional police department, said that in Kirovohrad oblast, explosives specialists destroyed the warhead of a russian drone that had failed to detonate. The wreckage of the downed drone was found on the border of Kirovohrad oblast. 

Poltava oblast

According to the RMA, in a village within Dykanka community, a drone crash damaged 3 houses, a farm building, a car and agricultural equipment. There were no casualties reported. A household power line was damaged.

Cherkasy oblast

Ihor Taburets, Head of the RMA, reported that air defence forces in Cherkasy oblast shot down 6 Shahed drones. There were no infrastructure damage or injuries reported.

Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine

Zaporizhzhia oblast

This morning, russian forces carried out an artillery strike. The attack caused partial destruction of a house due to the blast wave and shrapnel, damaging outbuildings and nearby residences. A 79-year-old woman was injured.

On 9 March, the occupiers launched 407 strikes on 11 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian forces conducted six airstrikes on Blakytne, Kamianske, Huliaipole, and Novoandriivka. 252 UAVs of various modifications attacked Bilenske, Kamianske, Piatykhatky, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. Eight MLRS attacks targeted Kamianske, Mala Tokmachka, and Shcherbaky. Additionally, 141 artillery shellings were carried out at Kamianske, Bilenke, Piatykhatky, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Novodarivka, and Pavlivka. Reports indicate damage to apartments, private houses, and vehicles. Three people, including a child, were injured due to the attacks.

Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy assault attempts near Novopil and Pryvilne towards Huliaipole. Towards Orikhiv, the enemy advanced four times near Stepove, Nesterianka, and Shcherbaky.

It is reportaed that russian forces are forcing Ukrainian children to join military and propaganda organizations in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia oblast. According to Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, 1,800 school students have already been recruited into the Yunarmiia organization.

Mykolaiv oblast

On the night of 10 March, air defense forces in Mykolaiv oblast destroyed 18 Shahed 131/136 UAVs. As a result of the combat work dry grass and shrubs caught fire due to falling debris in open areas outside of the settlements of Mykolaiv and Bashtanka region.

On 9 March, at 11:32am, the enemy attacked the outskirts of Mykolaiv with a strike drone, the type of which is being specified. As a result of the attack, a private house was damaged.

In the afternoon of 9 March, the enemy twice attacked the waters of Ochakiv community with FPV drones. Additionally, the russians shelled Kutsurub community with artillery three times and struck with FPV drones three times. A private house, a farm building, and a power line were damaged in the village of Dmytrivka. As a result, four settlements in the community — Kutsurub, Ivanivka, Yaselka, and Dmytrivka — were left without electricity. Power supply was restored by 6:30pm. There were no casualties.

Also on 9 March, at 6pm, the enemy attacked Shevchenkove community with a strike drone, the type of which is still being determined. As a result of the attack, a farm building in the village of Mykolaivske was damaged.

Odesa oblast

As of 6am on 10 March, there was 1 enemy carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles in the Black Sea, with a total salvo of up to 4 missiles. There were 4 enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, including 3 Kalibr cruise missile carriers, with a total salvo of up to 26 missiles.

Three vessels passed through the Kerch Strait into the Black Sea in the interests of the russian federation, while 12 ships proceeded to the Sea of Azov.

Kherson oblast

This morning, on 10 March, three people were injured in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson as a result of russian drone attacks. Around 6:30am, the occupiers attacked a civilian car with a drone. A 39-year-old man sustained blast injuries and wounds to his hands, legs, and face. Another victim, a 35-year-old man from Kherson, suffered a blast injury and facial wounds. Later, the enemy attacked a 50-year-old man walking on the street. He was hospitalized with blast trauma, concussion, and shrapnel wounds to his back and arm.

At about 10:40am, a man was hospitalized after a russian shelling in Kherson. Preliminary diagnosis showed blast injuries to the 54-year-old man. Medical assistance was also provided to a woman who was injured in a drone strike in Kherson the previous day. The 52-year-old woman suffered a blast injury and a concussion.

Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that russian troops attacked a 70-year-old woman with a drone in Beryslav. At the time of the attack, the local woman was in her yard. She sustained blast injuries, shrapnel wounds to her chest and forearm, as well as traumatic amputation of her fingers.

A woman who was injured on 5 March in Antonivka also sought medical help. The 59-year-old local woman was diagnosed with light injuries, including blast and traumatic brain injuries.

The enemy continues to shell liberated areas on the right bank of the Dnipro River, including Kherson and Beryslav regions. On 9 March, russian forces fired artillery, mortars, and aircraft, and used drones to strike residential areas. The affected areas included Kherson, Antonivka, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Zelenivka, Shyroka Balka, Nadezhdivka, Inzhenerne, Beryslav, Zolota Balka, Chervonyi Yar, Arkhangelske, Chervonyi Maiak, Burhunka, Kachkarivka, Dudchany, Zamozhne, and Krupytsia. As a result of the attacks, 14 objects were damaged, including three multi-story buildings, four private houses, a bank branch, a non-operational gas station, a minibus, two cars, a warehouse, and a farm building. Ten people were injured, including a police officer.

From 3 to 9 March, 2025, russian forces launched 2,161 drone attacks on Kherson oblast. Ukrainian defense forces destroyed 1,770 drones, or nearly 82%.

The Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to strike enemy locations, their firing positions, and rear units. Over the past day, enemy losses included 77 occupiers, 1 ZU-23 anti-aircraft system, 8 artillery systems, 43 vehicles, 3 motorcycles, 19 reconnaissance drones, 1 boat, 2 Starlink devices, 1 transformer, 5 generators, and 3 communication antennas. A total of 38 shelters and bunkers were destroyed.

Latest news for today in the western regions of Ukraine

Volyn oblast

Lutsk community sent 3 Shelter 6M electronic warfare devices, 3 DJI Mavic 3T, 15 DJI Mavic 3PRO, 3 DJI Mavic 3, 5 EcoFlow, 2 Starlink, 50 FPV drones, 2 Sova KKB, an inverter generator and a Motorola repeater to the military.

Zakarpattia oblast

The RMA presented III degree For Courage Orders to families of soldiers Ivan Paida, Stepan Oleinyk, Oleksii Kobets, Mykhailo Yatskiv, Vladyslav Pavlov and Vasyl Huntynovych, junior sergeants Viktor Borovyk and Roman Paliychuk, Ivan Sholiak and sergeant Taras Hurnysh, who were killed in the battles for Ukraine’s independence.

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast

In Ivano-Frankivsk, an annotation board was opened for Vitalii Oleksyn, junior sergeant, gunner of the Mechanized Detachment of the Mechanized Battalion.

Lviv oblast

UAH 100m will be allocated from the regional budget in March for the needs of the Defense Forces. The Head of the oblast has already signed an order to allocate UAH 25m. Another UAH 75m will be financed by the end of the month.

The RMA reported that over UAH 65,000 was collected for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Ryasne-Ruske during a charity event.

Rivne oblast

The RMA held a meeting with Anna Nowakowska, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lutsk. They discussed support and cooperation.

Ternopil oblast

Ternopil City Council reported that 184 military personnel will receive a one-time cash grant to purchase equipment and technical means.

Khmelnytskyi oblast

Khmelnytskyi community sent 10 electronic warfare devices of a Ukrainian manufacturer worth UAH 1.3m to one of the units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Chernivtsi oblast

The state compensates for the costs of accommodating IDPs in Chernivtsi oblast. In accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Chernivtsi oblast was allocated UAH 1,018m from the reserve fund of the state budget to compensate for the costs of paying for utility services consumed in October 2024 by budgetary institutions and private institutions where internally displaced persons were accommodated free of charge.

International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)

Ukraine became the world’s largest importer of major arms in 2020-24. A report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute notes that at least 35 countries sent weapons to Ukraine after russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, and in 2020-24, Ukraine received 8.8% of global arms imports. The majority of major arms supplies to Ukraine came from the US (45%), followed by Germany (12%) and Poland (11%).

Andrii Yermak, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with Jonathan Powell, National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. They discussed supporting Ukraine in achieving a just peace.

Viktor Mykyta, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, met with Mustafa Levent Bilgen, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine. They discussed bilateral cooperation, joint economic development projects, as well as energy and infrastructure initiatives.
