Here is operational information of the General Staff as of 6 pm:
Ukraine’s defence forces are holding back the offensive of the russian occupiers. Terrorists continue to destroy Ukrainian cities and villages with missile, air and artillery strikes.
The defence forces are taking the necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory.
So far, 202 combat engagements have taken place.
The communities of Rudak and Dmytrivka in Sumy oblast suffered from enemy artillery and mortar fire.
Towards Kharkiv, the enemy has conducted five offensives in the areas of Hlyboke and Vovchansk since the beginning of the day, and Kozacha Lopan, Hoptivka and Vetarynarne were hit by enemy aircraft.
Towards Kupiansk, the russian occupiers attacked the positions of the defence forces 40 times in the areas of Nova Kruhliakivka, Petropavlivka and Zahryzove, with five firefights currently ongoing.
Towards Lyman, the invading army launched 18 attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Hrekivka, Yampolivka, Novomykhailivka, Nove and Zelena Dolyna. Seven firefights are still ongoing.
Towards Siversk, our defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske, and three more combat engagements are still ongoing.
Towards Kramatorsk, Ukrainian defenders repelled four assault attacks by russian invaders. The enemy is trying to break through in the areas of Maiske, Chasiv Yar and Stupochky. Nine attacks have already been successfully repelled by our defenders.
Towards Toretsk, our defenders repelled 21 enemy attacks near Dyliivka, Dachne, Druzhba, Kurdiumivka and Toretsk, and six more combat engagements are ongoing.
Towards Pokrovsk, the russian invaders made 58 attempts to push our defenders from their positions near the towns of Vodiane Druhe, Promin, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Zelene, Zvirove, Leontovychi, Serhiivka, Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, Nadiivka, Preobrazhenka, Bohdanivka, Oleksiivka, Shevchenko and Andriivka. The defence forces are holding back the attack and repelled 47 enemy attacks, 11 engagements are still ongoing. Nova Poltavka came under air strikes.
Towards Novopavlivka, the enemy tried to break through the defences of our defenders 15 times in the areas of Kostiantynopil, Vilne Pole and Burlatske. Three firefights are currently underway.
Towards Huliaipole, there were 15 engagements with the enemy in the areas of Pryvilne, Zelene Pole, Novosilka and Novopil. Gulyaypole and Novopil were attacked by attack aircraft.
Towards Orikhiv, the enemy conducted nine offensives in the areas of Novodanylivka, Stepove, Piatikhatky, Shcherbaky, Kamianske and Lobkove. Four combat engagements are still pending.
Towards Kherson, the enemy attacked Ukrainian defenders’ positions twice, but were unsuccessful.
Towards Kursk, there were 23 combat engagements since the beginning of the day, 14 of which are still ongoing. In addition, the enemy carried out three air strikes, dropping three drones, and fired 167 artillery shells, including nine from multiple launch rocket systems.
The situation in other sectors remained unchanged.
The Ministry of Defence has codified and approved the use of the Vidmak unmanned aerial vehicle system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The high-speed FPV drones of this complex are capable of catching up with any wheeled vehicles of the occupiers.
The Ministry of Finance reported that as of 31 January 2025, Ukraine’s national debt stood at UAH 7.068trn. This is almost $169bn. In January 2025, the amount of debt increased by UAH 87.03bn in the hryvnia equivalent and by USD 2.93bn in the dollar equivalent. As of 31 December 2024, Ukraine’s public and publicly guaranteed debt amounted to UAH 6.980trn or $166.06bn.

Kharkiv oblast
Frontline

The RMA said that yesterday towards Kharkiv, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled four enemy attacks near Vovchansk. There were 9 enemy attacks towards Kupiansk yesterday. Defence forces repelled enemy assaults near Lozova, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Bohuslavka.
Attacks
Yesterday at 9:54pm, in Balakliia, as a result of a hit by a Geranium-2 UAV on the roof of a warehouse, a neighbouring warehouse building, three tractors, a seeder, a combine harvester, one truck and two cars were damaged. A 61-year-old man was injured.
At 9:38pm, in Kupiansk, a private house was damaged by shelling.
At 5:20pm, a private house was damaged in Kupiansk as a result of shelling.
At 3:40pm, a private house was damaged in Kozacha Lopan village as a result of shelling.
At 2:30pm, in Osynove, grass caught on fire in an open area as a result of shelling.
At 1:30pm, grass caught on fire in Kupiansk city as a result of an FPV drone attack.
At 12:02pm, in Radkivka village, a private house was damaged by shelling and a fire broke out in a neighbouring private house.
At 11am, in Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi village, an apartment was damaged as a result of shelling.
At 9:30am, a private house and a fence were damaged in Kurylivka village as a result of shelling.
At 8am, in Novoplatonivka village, grass and reeds were burning in an open area as a result of MLRS shelling.
Other
The press service of the regional prosecutor’s office reported that in Izium, 46 of the 448 people who died during the occupation and were buried in a natural cemetery in the forest remain unidentified as of March 2025. To conduct molecular genetic examinations, the investigation has samples from the relatives of 24 people that can help identify them. 22 of the victims remain unknown.
Dergachi community is home to more than 26,000 people, including 1,440 children. The community is using public funds to build a protective building for an educational institution that will accommodate more than 400 children and teachers at a time. Several residential blocks destroyed by the occupiers have already been reconstructed in Derhachi, and the adjacent territories are being arranged. Major repairs of damaged utility networks are also planned. As a result of the reconstruction work, 98% of residents have returned to their homes.

Donetsk oblast
Frontline
The General Staff said that most attacks took place towards Lyman yesterday. The russian army attacked 22 times, trying to advance near the settlements of Nove, Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, Zarichne, Yampolivka, Novoliubivka and Torske.
Ukrainian defenders stopped 21 attacks towards Pokrovsk. Towards Novopavlivka and Toretsk, the Defence Forces repelled 19 russian attacks each.
Attacks
Vadym Filashkin, Head of the RMA, reported that the russian army dropped a bomb on a multi-storey building in Siversk. According to preliminary data, one person was killed and four others were wounded.
At 4:20am, russia launched two bombs on Kostiantynivka, injuring two people and damaging private houses.
Over the day, police recorded 3,741 hostile attacks along the frontline and in the residential sector. There were explosions in 10 settlements: Bilytske, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Pokrovsk, Rodynske, Sloviansk, Toretsk, Voskresenka, Illinovka, and Sofiivka. 53 civilian objects were damaged, including 41 residential buildings.

Pokrovsk was attacked by russians 5 times – a civilian was killed and two other people were wounded. One apartment building and two private houses were destroyed.
In Rodynske, a FAB-250 bomb damaged 10 private houses, and an enemy drone destroyed a civilian car.
The occupiers dropped 2 FAB-250 bombs on Bilytske, damaging 8 private houses and an educational institution.
In Voskresenka of Komar community, 1 apartment building, 8 private houses and a non-residential building were damaged by an UMPB D-30 SN bomb.
The enemy attacked Kramatorsk with five drones, damaging an apartment building and an administrative building. Another UAV damaged a canteen in Sloviansk.
In Sofiivka, a Lancet UAV hit a private house and a civilian car. In Illinivka, 5 households and a power line were damaged by Smerch MLRS shelling.
Russian troops attacked Kostiantynivka with bombs, drones and artillery, damaging 6 private houses and disrupting communications.
Other
Volunteers from Dnipro evacuated a dog and her four puppies from Donetsk oblast. They were brought to one of the frontline settlements from their positions by soldier Artem. The dog lived with them for 2 months until she gave birth to puppies. The soldiers decided to give the dog family to volunteers because of the danger.

Luhansk oblast
The RMA reported that yesterday the russians stormed near Hrekivka, Novoliubivka and in Bilohorivka. The enemy had artillery and air support. He tried to launch an air strike on our positions. They fired 18 times from rocket and cannon artillery. He sent 242 drones towards Ukrainian defenders.
The russians are spending almost as much on rebuilding the dilapidated Rubizhne and Lysychansk as they did on restoring Brianka, which was occupied in 2014 and did not suffer from hostilities. For instance, rub 1.6bn has already been spent on repairs in Brianka, with an additional 653m allocated. That is, almost 2.3bn. A total of rub 2.6bn was allocated for major repairs of facilities in Rubizhne and Lysychansk, which were stormed by the invaders in 2022. Russian budget funds continue to be wasted.
In Aidar (until recently Novopskov), the occupiers blocked traffic in two places. They thoroughly checked drivers, passengers, and luggage. Passports and military registration documents of the russian Federation were required to be presented.
Yellow Ribbon reported that the occupiers in Luhansk oblast received instructions from moscow to prepare lists of doctors under 50 years of age. The doctors are being forced to issue russian passports and undergo an additional medical examination to create emergency teams. This is how they are preparing the mobilisation of civilian doctors in Luhansk oblast.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
KCMA reported that an air raid alert continued for 2 hours and 45 minutes in Kyiv at night. On the outskirts of the capital, 37 enemy UAVs were spotted. 29 of them were destroyed by air defence systems, the rest were lost or left the airspace.
The RMA noted that in Kyiv oblast, in Boryspil region, 7 private houses and two cars were damaged by the fragments of downed drones. Also, in the Boryspil and Obukhiv regions, grass flooring caught fire as a result of an enemy attack. The fires have been extinguished.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that the Government has reallocated about UAH 6.3m to rebuild the capital’s Okhmatdyt, which was damaged by a russian missile attack. The funds will be used to carry out urgent emergency and conservation work in two hospital buildings.
Kyiv mayor Vitalii Klychko informed that another batch of aid was delivered to the frontline by Kyiv community. 400 8 Thermal digital FPV drones were sent to the soldiers of the 4th Brigade of the Rubizh National Guard. Since the beginning of this year, at the request of the 4th Brigade, Kyiv has already allocated UAH 64m from the city budget for equipment and urgent needs.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that a farmer in Kyiv oblast came across fragments of a russian drone during field work. The sappers seized the remains of a russian Geranium-2 UAV on the spot.
The RMA announced that a delegation from Finland, headed by Defence Minister Antti Häkkänen, visited Kyiv oblast. The guests visited Irpin, Bucha and Moshchun, which in 2022 became outposts and helped the Ukrainian military prevent russian invaders from entering Kyiv.
Kyiv Regional State Administration reported on a meeting with representatives of the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), which is helping to rebuild oblast. According to the head of the UDA, Mykola Kalashnyk, the discussion focused on the possibilities of cooperation in 2025. According to him, between 2023 and 2025, GEM replaced almost 36,000 double-glazed windows worth more than USD 3.8 million.
Zhytomyr oblast
The State Emergency Service of Zhytomyr oblast reported that on 10 March, a forestry tractor exploded in Korosten district. The tractor hit an explosive object, which detonated. As a result of the explosion, the driver was injured and hospitalised.
Sumy oblast
According to the 15th Mobile Border Detachment “Stalevyi Kordon” (Steel Border), which is performing combat missions towards Sumy and Chernihiv, the russian army is failing to advance into Ukrainian territory.
Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration, reported regarding the consequences of the shelling on the night of 11 March, on the way to the hospital, a civilian injured by a russian drone strike passed away. Additionally, six police officers were injured when their vehicle was attacked by an FPV-drone.
The Regional Military Administration informed that at night, the enemy carried out strikes using an FPV-drone and UAVs on Khotin community, injuring one person. Additionally, in the community, four two-story apartment buildings, one private residential house, and three cars were damaged. Furthermore, Yunakivka and Krasnopillia communities were also struck. In total, during the night and morning, russian forces conducted 11 shelling attacks, resulting in 36 strikes.
In the skies over Sumy oblast, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 8 enemy ‘Shahed’ drones.
Throughout the past day, 10 March, russian forces carried out 116 shelling attacks on Sumy oblast. A total of 162 strikes were recorded. The enemy conducted artillery shelling (24 explosions), mortar shelling (10 explosions), MLRS attacks (25 explosions), FPV drone strikes (54 explosions), GAB strikes (2 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (47 explosions). Bezdricka community was hit by a missile strike. Thirteen communities were under enemy fire: Bezdricka, Khotin, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Krasnopillia, Bilopillia, Boromlia, Velyka Pysarivka, Putyvl, Hlukhiv, Esman, Seredyna-Buda, and Znob-Novhorod.
Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that as a result of russian shelling on 10 March in Krasnopillia community, one person was killed, another injured, and a car was damaged. In Boromlia community, a non-residential building was damaged due to a UAV strike. In Znob-Novhorod community, two non-residential buildings caught fire following a drone strike.
The ‘North’ Operational Command informed that in Slavhorod and Hlukhiv, critical infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of shelling by russian forces on 10 March. The report also mentions damage to a farm building in Boromlia and a private house in Yastrubshchyna village, Esman community.
Volodymyr Artiukh, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that since the beginning of the year, russians have used approximately 2,000 FPV-drones and up to 2,000 UAVs on the territory of Sumy oblast.
The National Police of Sumy oblast, from Myropillia, the White Angels special police unit evacuated two elderly women: 82-year-old Oleksandra Illivna and 66-year-old Tamara Petrivna.
Chernihiv oblast
The russian forces attacked three border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, and Snovsk — throughout the day on 10 March. According to Chernihiv Border Detachment, the enemy carried out shelling using mortars (7 explosions), FPV-drones (14 explosions), and dropped explosive devices from UAVs (10 explosions).
Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reported that Baturyn community in Chernihiv oblast has signed a partnership and friendship agreement with the parish of Cobham (Kent County) in the United Kingdom. The document outlines collaboration in the fields of culture, education, social support, infrastructure restoration, and the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of residents in both communities.
In Chernihiv oblast, UAH 200m will be allocated this year to improve the material and technical support of military units stationed in the area, as well as institutions. This funding is provided for in the regional program for 2024–2025.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
From evening until morning, russian forces continued to attack Nikopol region, targeting the regional centre, Pokrov and Marhanets communities by artillery and drones. Morning kamikaze drone attacks in Nikopol damaged a high-rise building and infrastructure.
A transportation company was damaged in Synelnykove region due to an enemy attack. There were no casualties reported.
Air defence forces shot down 2 enemy drones over the oblast in the evening.
During the day, russian forces launched multiple attacks on Nikopol region, targeting the regional centre and Marhanets community by kamikaze drones, damaging infrastructure. There were no injuries reported.
Updated reports confirmed that a 22-year-old man was injured in the morning drone strike on Nikopol. He received necessary medical care and will recover at home.
Vinnytsia oblast
During the night, air defence forces operated in the oblast, shooting down enemy drones. There were no casualties or destruction reported.
Kirovohrad oblast
Kirovohrad oblast paid tribute to 2 fallen soldiers: Vitalii Yakymenko, from Sokolivka community, who were killed on 2 March 2025, near Fedorivka village, Bakhmut region, Donetsk oblast; and Serhii Olefirov, from Oleksandrivka community, who were killed on 10 March 2025.
Poltava oblast
A memorial service was held at the Holy Assumption Cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine for Mykola Bohomolov, a rifleman and grenade launcher assistant who was killed on 23 February 2025, during a combat mission near Pishchane village, Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast.
Reshetylivka community paid tribute to Mykola Zozulia, who was killed on 7 March 2025.
Cherkasy oblast
Air defence forces in the oblast destroyed 3 enemy drones.
In Cherkasy, a funeral was held for Serhii Zamkovenko, a fallen serviceman who died on 2 March 2025, in Kharkiv oblast after sustaining fatal injuries.
Another ceremony was held to honor 24-year-old defender Roman Lutsenko, who was killed on 5 March 2025, during an artillery strike in Sumy oblast.
The oblast paid tribute to Vitalii Hushchak, whose heart stopped on 4 March 2025.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 11 March, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 9 russian attacks in Orikhiv region. 4 battles are still ongoing.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that russian forces attacked Malokaterynivka village, damaging a private house. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
On 10 March, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 6 russian attacks in Orikhiv region, with clashes occurring near Novodanylivka, Shcherbaky, Stepove and Piatykhatky.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 10 March, russian forces launched 430 strikes on 9 cities and villages in Zaporizhzhia oblast. This included 142 artillery strikes targeting Veselianka, Kamianske, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novodarivka and Charivne.
Mykolaiv oblast
Referring to Mykolaiv RMA, on 10 March, there were no russian attacks recorded in Mykolaiv oblast.
Odesa oblast
The ‘South‘ Operational Command reported that Ukrainian Air Defence forces in Odesa oblast shot down 23 Shahed drones during a russian attack on the evening of 10 March.
Oleh Kiper, Head of the RMA, informed that russian forces attacked Odesa by strike drones, causing fires in a private residential house, a children’s toy warehouse and a fuel storage tank. The burning fuel tanks released a significant amount of pollutants and combustion products into the air.

Kherson oblast
Roman Mrochko, Head of the CMA, said that russian forces shelled residential areas in Zelenivka, near Kherson, damaging houses. There were no casualties reported.
At around 1:30pm, russian troops shelled Kherson, injuring a 44-year-old man, who was hospitalised with a blast injury.
At approximately 11:30am, russian forces dropped an explosive device from a drone onto a 16-year-old boy riding a moped in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. He suffered a blast injury and shrapnel wounds to his right leg. Another 16-year-old boy sustained a concussion and blast trauma, with his condition described as mild.
The russian forces dropped an explosive device from a drone on a cyclist in Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. A 40-year-old man was hospitalised with a concussion, blast injuries, closed head trauma and shrapnel wounds.
Based on the information provided by the police, they evacuated a 70-year-old woman injured in a russian drone attack in Beryslav. She suffered shrapnel wounds to her head, abdomen and legs, along with a traumatic amputation of her fingers. She was taken to a stabilisation point and handed over to doctors.
Oleksandr Prokudin, Head of the RMA, stated that 2 civilians were killed in russian drone attacks on 10 March – a 59-year-old man in Zolota Balka and a 75-year-old woman in Zmiivka. Also, a 92-year-old woman in Zolota Balka was injured by a russian drone attack. She sought medical help today, suffering from a blast injury and shrapnel wound to her back. In total, 11 civilians were injured in Kherson oblast. The russian forces damaged 4 high-rise buildings, 4 private houses, a gas pipeline, a garage and multiple vehicles. The russian forces attacked 38 settlements across the oblast.

Volyn oblast
Lutsk community sent 4 DJI MAVIC 3 PRO quadcopters to the Military Unit 3030 of the National Guard of Ukraine and 6 DJI MAVIC 3 PRO quadcopters to the Military Unit A 4010.
Zakarpattia oblast
Adaptive veteran sports are being developed in the oblast. CS Gladiator is the 1st veteran team in the oblast to introduce adaptive sports culture. It was headed by former military volunteer Kostyantyn Kashula. Currently, the team includes 17 veterans of legendary units – the Carpathian Sich, the 128th Brigade, 3rd and 5th Separate Assault Brigades, Azov and others.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
3 specialists from the Center of Excellence of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Clinical Hospital have completed a special training course at the Hyogo Prefecture Rehabilitation Center in Japan. They have learned about modern methods of rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injuries and adopted the experience of Japanese colleagues for implementation in Ukraine.
Lviv oblast
The RMA held a meeting with Radek Rubes, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic is implementing the Renovation and modernization of hospitals in Ukraine project, aimed at improving the provision of medical care and strengthening the potential of Ukrainian healthcare institutions. Czech partners will provide financial support for the renovation of hospital departments in Vynnyky. This amounts to EUR 30m, both in loan and grant funds.
The 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo received a tractor for the front, which will strengthen the logistical capabilities of soldiers. It was purchased with funds from the regional budget within the framework of the Safe Lviv Oblast program.
Rivne oblast
Andrii Opalko, Vadym Kolba, Serhii Oreshko, Oleksandr Kharechko and their rehabilitation therapist Yevhenii Zharovikov, veterans from the Rivne, created the Sarny Bat Ukraine public organization to support their fellow veterans.
Ternopil oblast
Nicholas Keple, Caritas volunteer from the US, and Father Roman Zagorodny, Director of Ternopil Caritas CF, held an online meeting. They discussed issues of support for Ukraine
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Khmelnytskyi community allocated financial assistance to 181 relatives of the fallen Heroes. The total amount of assistance is over UAH 3.3m.
Chernivtsi oblast
Chernivtsi community sent another batch of Mavik to the 8th Separate Mountain Assault Battalion.
International support of Ukraine in the russian-Ukrainian war (russia’s invasion of Ukraine)
Portugal sent 8 SA-330 Puma helicopters to Ukraine as part of a military assistance package approved at the end of 2024.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, met with Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. They discussed possible mediation by Saudi Arabia in the release of military and civilian prisoners and the return of deported children, as well as prospects for strengthening work in this direction.
Ihor Brusylo, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, met with Pawel Grass, Head of the Political Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Poland. They discussed bilateral cooperation, including military cooperation, and support for the European integration course.
