russian troops launched two missile and 32 airstrikes, used six missiles and dropped 87 guided bombs. In addition, they engaged 3,358 kamikaze drones to strike and carried out 3,057 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements.
Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the enemy carried out 131 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements, including one from multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy stormed the positions of our units near Vovchansk four times.
Towards Kupiansk, the aggressor tried twice to break through the defenses of Ukrainian defenders near Pishchane.

Kharkiv oblast

Towards Southern Sloboda, Ukrainian troops stopped six enemy attacks in the vicinity of Vovchansk, Synelnykove and towards Izbitske and Kolodiazne.
Towards Kupiansk, there were nine attacks near the settlements of Petropavlivka, Pishchane and Kolisnykovka.
The RMA reports that fog and non-flying conditions for drones complicate the situation for both the occupiers and the Defense Forces, but the russian federation uses them for its tactics of infiltration in small groups.
Kharkiv region police reported that two men in Izyum region were hospitalized with injuries. A 27-year-old man blew himself up near Bogolyubivka in Kunyiv community at 1:00 p.m., another 68-year-old local resident was hit by a drone in Borova community.
Oleksandr Husarov, Head of the community, reported that russia struck Pechenehi Reservoir dam in Kharkiv oblast — traffic was blocked as of 12:00 p.m. The 16th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that possible damage to the dam had been taken into account in advance, alternative routes had been prepared, and necessary supplies had been created to ensure logistics — no critical impact on combat operations was expected. The dam has long been the target of systematic russian attacks using Shaheds, KABs, missiles, Molniya, and FPV drones.
According to Ivan Tymochko, Head of the Council of Reservists of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the possible explosion of the dam before winter poses the greatest threat to the civilian population due to flooding and freezing of territories, and the final consequences will become known after an official assessment of the damage.
In addition to Pechenehi dam, the bridge in Staryi Saltov was damaged.
Viktor Kovalenko, head of Zolochiv RMA, says that at about 12:00, Ivashki was attacked by russian FPV drones. According to him, a three-story apartment building and power grids were damaged.
Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office added that at 10:50, russian troops struck Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi from aircraft. A 68-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man were killed. Destruction of residential infrastructure was recorded.
The regional prosecutor’s office reported that one person was killed and seven were injured in russian strikes on Staryi Saltov.
Over the past day, the city of Kharkiv and 3 settlements in Kharkiv oblast were hit by enemy strikes.
Medics provided assistance to a 60-year-old man who was injured in the village of Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Kupiansk community on December 4.

Donetsk oblast
The russian military has reduced the number of attacks in most directions in Donetsk and Luhansk oblast. Towards Pokrovsk, Ukrainian defenders stopped 45 assaults and 13 towards Lyman and Slaviansk communities. Towards Kostiantynivka, russian troops carried out 23 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, Sofiivka and Berestok.
The city of Myrnohrad and its surroundings are subjected to artillery and airstrikes every day. According to local authorities, russian troops are using guided aerial bombs weighing 500 kg, 1,500 kg and 3,000 kg, hitting high-rise residential buildings. Military logistics are being maintained, the city’s defenses are being maintained, and enemy sabotage groups are being destroyed. The main appeals from residents concern compensation for destroyed property – payments are being made through remote satellite surveys.

The Center for the Study of Occupation reported that russian occupiers have deployed air defense elements of the Donbass Dome in the territory of the Mayak market in occupied Donetsk, turning civilians into a “human shield”. The RMA reported that on December 7, russian troops shelled Kramatorsk community in the Donetsk region several times, . At 12:11, using an Italmas UAV, russian troops struck a high-rise building. Two residential buildings were damaged. At 13:04, an Italmas UAV hit the courtyard of a private residential building. At 13:35, the strike UAV hit the territory of a gas station.
At about 01:40, russian troops launched 2 drone strikes on Kramatorsk, damaging an apartment building and a store.

Volodymyr Proskunin, Head of the RMA, reports that in Mykolaiv community, FPV drone attacks have increased, destroying the infrastructure. 6,300 people remain here, including 300 children. Rai-Oleksandrivka region has been without electricity for 10 days, Malynivka has been without power for 7 days, and there is also no centralized water supply in settlements. The number of people who evacuate on their own has increased.
Luhansk oblast
Luhansk Regional Military Administration reports: Over the past day, the enemy carried out 26 assault actions towards the Lyman and Sloviansk directions, used 34 UAVs and FPV drones, and opened fire with tube artillery 17 times. Fighting took place near Hrekivka and from the direction of Tverdokhlibove.
In the so-called “lpr”, seven minors (four school students and three college students) were selected to participate in an all-russian UAV piloting competition, which is yet another example of the militarization of children in the occupied territories.
Residents of Novodruzhesk and Pryvilia, near Lysychansk, have remained without electricity and water supply for more than three years. Water delivery is not provided, and statements by the occupation authorities about the alleged restoration of utilities are not confirmed by actual repair works.
The RMA reported that the occupiers in Luhansk oblast formed a team of schoolchildren and students for the All-Russian competition in drone control. The young people underwent training on simulators, passed exams and passed qualifying tests.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
As a result of the russian attack on Fastiv railway station on 6 December, the station building was almost completely destroyed, several workshops in the depot were hit, three trains undergoing repairs were destroyed, and passenger locomotives were damaged. According to the chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, the strikes hit civilian passenger railway infrastructure – directly at the station and at the suburban depot, where electric trains serving the suburban connection between Kyiv and the region were serviced. Another strike hit the dispatch centre.
Ukrzaliznytsia reported that railway workers in Fastiv had set up a temporary mobile station next to the one destroyed by the Russian strike on 6 December. It is warm there and has everything necessary for passengers. In addition, a small children’s area has been set up in the tent and a Christmas tree has been installed. Despite the shelling, trains continue to run through the station and make stops there.
The Kyiv Regional State Administration reported on the comprehensive restoration of Borodianka. More than 600 damaged buildings have already been rebuilt. In addition to residential buildings, heating and water networks are being renovated, schools and kindergartens are being restored, modern shelters are being equipped, barrier-free spaces are being created, and energy-efficient technologies are being implemented. In total, work on more than 50 facilities is planned to be completed this year, implemented in cooperation with the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Women’s Guard held a practical training course in Kyiv for women, female veterans, military personnel and their families entitled ‘Self-defence. Recovery. Psychological resilience’. The course trainer is martial arts instructor and rehabilitation specialist Viktor Kraievskyi. The programme includes physical recovery exercises, self-defence techniques, psychological resilience practices, rehabilitation and recovery.
On 17 December, Kyiv will host the All-Ukrainian Forum ‘Veterans Restart,’ dedicated to the recovery and integration of veterans. Participants will discuss medical and psychological rehabilitation, family support, employment, the role of sport, and inclusion. The forum will bring together representatives of the defence forces, state institutions, international organisations, business and veteran communities.
Kyiv City Territorial Control Department reported that the ‘Defender Status’ service has been operating in the Kyiv Digital app for a year, allowing free hourly parking in the capital’s city car parks. Over the course of the year, 32,357 military personnel and veterans have registered with the service, making 400,000 free parking trips.
Zhytomyr oblast
Serhii Tyschenko, a combat medic with the 30th Separate Mechanised Brigade from Zhytomyr Oblast, has been awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine, according to the brigade’s press service. The medic, whose call sign is ‘Viter’ (Wind), served on the front line in Donetsk oblast without rotation for 471 days, starting on 24 June 2024. During the fighting, he provided assistance to the wounded and carried them out of the line of fire.
More than 38,000 hryvnias were collected in Olevsk to purchase a vehicle for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the New Year and Christmas charity campaign ‘Buy a Christmas tree decoration – support a defender.’ The New Year’s decorations were handmade by pupils of extracurricular institutions, lyceums and gymnasiums, as well as their teachers and parents. The decorations were used to decorate the city’s main Christmas tree or purchased for home use.
On 5 December, the first regional open kettlebell lifting championship of the National Police took place in Zhytomyr. Sumy oblast
On the morning of 7 December the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, russia carried out one airstrike, dropping a total of four guided aerial bombs and conducting 165 attacks, including three by multiple-launch rocket systems.
The Regional Military Administration informed that four civilians were injured in enemy attacks on 7 December. In Sumy community, a 12-year-old child and a 57-year-old man were wounded in russian UAV attacks. A 25-year-old woman also sought medical assistance after being injured during the downing of russian drones. In Krasnopillia community, a 52-year-old man was injured in enemy shelling and was hospitalised.
According to the Regional Military Administration, two russian UAVs struck facilities in Sumy community on 7 December. Damage was recorded outside the residential sector.
Between the morning of 6 December and the morning of 7 December, russian forces carried out more than 50 attacks on 25 settlements in 13 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of strikes was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used UAV strikes, multiple-launch rocket systems and FPV drones. Over the day, the air-raid alert in the oblast lasted 17 hours 26 minutes.
Consequences of russian attacks on the territory of Sumy oblast as of the morning of 7 December:
- in Krasnopillia community, two men aged 53 and 65 were injured when a russian drone struck a civilian car. A 56-year-old woman who was in the vehicle also sought medical assistance. A car and a private residential house were damaged;
- in Esman community, a 42-year-old man was injured in a russian drone strike;
- in Hlukhiv community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
- in Bilopillia community, private residential houses were damaged and a car was destroyed;
- in Vorozhba community, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged;
- in Mykolaivka rural community, a private residential house was damaged;
- in Krolevets community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
- in Shostka community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged and a residential house destroyed;
- in Bereza community, a residential house was destroyed;
- in Seredyna-Buda community, residential houses were destroyed.
Chernihiv oblast
According to the Security and Defence Forces, at least 50 russian strike drones were launched at Chernihiv oblast over the past day — most of them were shot down. Chernihiv Regional Military Administration reported that in November, 700 enemy drones were downed over the oblast. Air-defence reinforcement is ongoing, with more than UAH 40m. allocated for technical equipment.
Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that in Semenivka on 7 December, a russian FPV drone struck a residential house, causing a fire. The homeowner, born in 1946, was injured.
The City Council informed that in Chernihiv on the morning of 7 December, a russian drone crash was recorded. No injuries were reported.
In the evening of 6 December, russian forces attacked Novhorod-Siverskyi by four Heran-2 strike UAVs. A 50-year-old local resident was killed inside his home. Three people were injured, including a police officer. Three residential houses — one apartment building and two private homes — were destroyed, and two cars burned. A police station, a medical college building, eight private households and an apartment building were damaged.
In the second half of 6 December, russians attacked Vorobiivka village in Novhorod-Siverskyi community. An FPV drone strike damaged a tractor and a civilian car.
In Budyshche village in Novhorod-Siverskyi community, a russian attack on the evening of 6 December damaged four residential houses and two non-residential buildings.
According to the City Council, during the day on 6 December, Chernihiv recorded repeated strikes on a critical infrastructure facility. The first explosion occurred at around 10am. No casualties were reported.
Municipal utility “Misksvitlo” reported that Street lighting in Chernihiv will be temporarily switched off from 7 December due to russian strikes on the city’s infrastructure and the resulting impact on the energy system. Pedestrian crossings will remain illuminated until 12am.
Chernihiv Border Guard Detachment informed that throughout 6 December, russian forces attacked four border communities of Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Horodnia and Snovsk. The enemy carried out mortar attacks (8 explosions) and multiple-launch rocket system attacks (30 explosions), and conducted strikes by Shahed-type UAVs (1 explosion), Molniia-type UAVs (3 explosions), FPV drones (17 explosions), and dropped an explosive device from a UAV (1 explosion). Fourteen settlements came under fire.

Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Mykola Lukashuk, Head of Dnipro Regional Council, reported that the occupiers attacked Nikopol, Myrove, Marhanets and Pokrovske communities by drones. A private house, a car and a power line were damaged.
Enemy forces attacked Nikopol, Pokrovske, Marhanets, Myrove and Chervonohryhorivka by drones and artillery. Five private houses, a car, a garage and infrastructure facilities were damaged. The enemy struck Bohynivka community by a UAV, damaging five private houses and three outbuildings. Occupiers also attacked Zelenodolsk and Hrushivka communities by drones, damaging a petrol station, two cars and a private house.
Kirovohrad oblast
Andrii Raikovych, Head of Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration, said that in Svitlovodsk, minor window damage to a technical building was recorded following the downing of a russian target.
Poltava oblast
The Regional Military Administration informed that during the night, russia carried out a massive combined missile and UAV attack on Poltava oblast. Several energy-sector facilities in Kremenchuk region came under fire. Fires broke out as a result of direct hits and falling debris. Technical equipment was damaged.

Today, 7 December, russian forces attacked the village of Bilenke in Zaporizhzhia region with drones. Vehicles were damaged. Two people were injured.
Today, 7 December, russian forces carried out an airstrike on the frontline Orikhiv. One person was wounded.
Also today, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia region, launching at least three strikes with guided aerial bombs. Private houses, outbuildings, and power lines were damaged. There are no casualties.
Zaporizhzhia Regional Administration reported that yesterday, 6 December, the occupiers carried out 649 strikes on 23 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast. russian troops conducted 17 airstrikes on Ternuvate, Veselianka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Verkhni Tersa, and Vozdvyzhivka. 385 UAVs of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Vilniansk, Malokaterynivka, Kushuhum, Znachkove, Rizdvianka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Solodke, and Vozdvyzhivka. Five MLRS attacks targeted Veselianka, Hulyaipole, and Solodke. 242 artillery strikes hit Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Varvarivka, Dobropillia, and Solodke. Fourteen reports were received about damage to residential buildings, cars, and infrastructure. One person was wounded as a result of an attack in Polohy region.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 7 December, there were 13 combat clashes i near the settlements of Rybne, Dobropillia, Zelene, and Huliaipole towards Huliaipole. Five clashes are ongoing. The enemy carried out two unsuccessful attacks near Novoandriivka and Prymorske towards Orikhiv. Over the past day, 6 December, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 15 russian attacks towards Huliaipole and Orikhiv.
Reports say that a russian occupation court sentenced a local resident of temporarily occupied Prymorsk in Zaporizhzhia oblast, Maryna Bilousova, to 12.5 years in prison for alleged state treason. According to the russian side, the woman supposedly transferred money in 2024 to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Mykolaiv oblast
Today, on 7 December, an explosion was heard in Snihurivka community in Mykolaiv oblast. The Air Force had warned about the activity of russian tactical aviation. According to the head of the Military Administration, Ivan Kukhta, the impact occurred outside populated areas, and there are currently no injuries.
According to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, during the night, the defense forces shot down or suppressed six Shahed-type UAVs and various types of decoy drones in the region.
Yesterday, the enemy attacked Ochakiv community twice with FPV drones. There were no casualties.
Odesa oblast
A woman who had received severe burns during the overnight russian drone attack on Odesa on 21 November died in the intensive care unit. According to Olena Velmozhko, spokesperson for the city health department, despite doctors’ efforts, the injuries were critical and led to the patient’s death — the woman sustained burns to 65% of her body surface and damage to her upper airways.
By the morning of 7 December, energy workers had completed the main repair work in Peresypskyi district of Odesa, but it is still impossible to fully restore power to all consumers. The power grids were damaged by the Russian strike on the night of 6 December. According to the company “DTEK Odesa Electric Grids,” after the power supply was restored, a sharp rise in network load was observed, which could cause large-scale accidents, so electricity is being supplied in shifts.
Kherson oblast
Kherson Regional Military Administration reported that at around 07:20, the russians attacked Kherson’s Tsentralnyi district with a drone. As a result of the strike, two people sustained concussions, blast injuries, and closed head traumas.
Yesterday, 6 December, the russian forces attacked Antonivka, Inzhenerne, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Yantarne, Bilozerka, Sofiivka, Dniprovke, Kizomys, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Novotiahynka, Poniativka, Beryslav, Novoraisk, Burhunka, Havrylivka, Zmiivka, Zolota Balka, Mylove, Olhivka, Sabluivka, Chervonyi Maiak, Shevchenkivka, Tomaryne, Novovorontsovka, Vesele, Kozatske and the city of Kherson. As a result of the attacks, five apartment buildings, five private houses, an outbuilding, a gas pipeline, and private cars were damaged. One person was injured due to russian aggression.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 7 December, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to approach our defenders near the Antonivskyi bridge towards Kherson.
The Southern Defense Forces reported that Ukrainian defenders eliminated more than 300 russian occupiers in a day. Ukrainian units also destroyed eight artillery systems, 25 vehicles, three electronic warfare stations, 21 motorcycles, five quad bikes, seven communication antennas, four UAV control antennas, a radar station antenna, and 106 shelters used by russian personnel.

Hot lunches for people in need have been resumed in Rivne. Anyone can get a portion of potatoes, vermicelli or porridge with meat, salad and tea. This initiative is implemented by Rivne Regional Center for Social Services with funds from the regional and city budgets, as well as from philanthropists.
Ternopil oblast
According to NPC Ukrenerho, due to massive russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities, measures to limit electricity consumption are being introduced throughout Ukraine. In Ternopil oblast, as of 9:00am on 7 December, 3.5 shifts of hourly power outages (hourly outage schedule) were introduced. Power supply was limited in 620 sub-districts: 228.200 subscribers, 71.9 MW.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
The military received 500 drone batteries worth over UAH 1.5m from Khmelnytskyi community.
Chernivtsi oblast
Chernivtsi City Council reported that for personal courage, heroism, and contribution to the defense of Ukraine, the City Council awarded the To the Glory of Chernivtsi medals (posthumously) to families of the fallen servicemen.

The International Criminal Court will not halt its investigation into russian aggression because of a possible peace deal, but it could be postponed. Efforts to hold perpetrators accountable must go hand in hand with peace talks. The UN Security Council can “request the court to postpone the case if it considers that a peace deal is possible.”
