On 6 May, there were 63 aggressor attacks.
The aggressor continues to shell border areas. In Sumy oblast, the following settlements were affected: Sopych, Khliborob, Neskuchne, Prohres, Volfyne, Rohizne, Kharkivka, Ryzhivka, Stepanivka, Bachivsk, and Atynske. Airstrikes targeted Tovstodubove and Holubivka.
- Towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, the enemy carried out 46 strikes on settlements and the positions of our troops, including seven from MLRS. There was one enemy assault.
- Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy attempted to improve its position nine times in the vicinity of Lyptsi, Lyman, Starytsia, Izbytske, and Mala Vovcha. One of these attempts is ongoing.
- Towards Kupiansk, the enemy conducted three assault operations in the vicinity of Kurylivka and Pishchane.
- Towards Lyman, the adversary attacked nine times in the vicinity of Nadiia, Novoserhiivka, Stavky, Lyman, and Yampil. Two of these attacks are still ongoing.
- Towards Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, the enemy did not conduct active offensive operations.
- Towards Kostiantynivka, the invaders launched nine attacks vicinity of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, and Novopavlivka. One of these attempts to advance is still ongoing.
- Towards Pokrovsk, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attempted to push our soldiers from their positions 17 times in the vicinity of Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, and Molodetske. Two of these attacks are ongoing.
- Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy attacked once in the vicinity of Verbove.
- Towards Huliaypole, there were 11 attacks against the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the vicinity of Zlahoda, Dobropillia, Hirke, Huliaypilske, Staroukrainka, and Zelene.
- Towards Orikhiv, the enemy attacked once in the vicinity of Shcherbaky.
- Towards Kherson, the enemy conducted two assault operations in the vicinity of Antonivka and Bilohrudyi Island.
In other directions, there were no significant changes in the situation. Ukrainian troops are exhausting the enemy along the entire line of combat and in the rear.
Ukraine is preparing legislation for private military companies. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated: “Our security export—after this war and for veterans—must be a real business opportunity. It is right and fair for the state to remain a global subject and for Ukrainian soldiers to be able to earn from the unprecedented experience gained during the defense.”
Recent war events in the east of Ukraine
Kharkiv oblast
Front Line
As of 22:00, 17 Russian attacks were recorded in Kharkiv oblast, according to the General Staff of the AFU. Towards Southern Sloboda, the russian army attacked positions 11 times near Vovchansk, Starytsia, and toward Lyptsi, Lyman, Izbytske, Mala Vovcha, and Symynivka. One engagement is ongoing. Towards Kupiansk, there were six attacks against Kurylivka, Pishchane, Novoplatonivka, and Borivska Andriivka.
Despite Ukraine’s declared ceasefire starting midnight on 6 May, russian forces launched nearly 500 strikes within the operational zones of the Third Army Corps. This sector stretches from Borova (Kharkiv oblast) to Yampil (Donetsk oblast), where units such as the 21st Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “Kraken” are operating.
Shelling and Casualties
Over the past day, Kharkiv and 20 settlements were hit. In total, 17 people were injured, including two children.
- Kharkiv City: * A drone struck the Saltivskyi district, injuring two men (49 and 56 years old). Two garages and three cars were damaged.
- In Osnovianskyi district, a drone landed on the roof of a high-rise building.
- Overall, four people were injured in the city today, all in moderate condition.
- Bohodukhiv region (Pysarivka): A drone strike injured three people: men aged 49 and 25, and a 48-year-old woman.
- Zolochiv: FPV drones damaged two private houses, four cars, a shop, and a service building.
- Slatyne: A 53-year-old woman sustained multiple shrapnel wounds and a brain injury when an FPV drone hit a civilian car.
- Ruska Lozova: Russian V2U drones hit three private homesteads, damaging walls, roofs, and windows.
- Mala Danylivka: Suffered the most significant destruction with 115 private houses, four apartment buildings, and 14 outbuildings damaged. 12 people were injured here, including a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy.
Since the beginning of the year, Russian strikes in Kharkiv oblast have killed 170 people (including 7 children) and injured 896 (including 73 children). Additionally, 42 gas stations have been targeted across the region this year.
Other News
The transit point in Lozova received 248 people today. In a separate night operation, 11 people (including 4 children and one person with limited mobility) were rescued from the “kill zone” under constant FPV drone fire.
Kharkiv held its first regional swimming competition for veterans. Out of 119 participants, 19 were servicemen with amputations. There are currently over 250 veterans with severe amputation injuries residing in the oblast.

Donetsk oblast
Front Line
Towards Pokrovsk, Ukrainian forces repelled 50 assaults over the past day near Zatyshshia, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Molodetske, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Muravka, Novomykolaivka, and in the directions of Bilytske, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Biliakivka, and Novopidhorodnie, according to the General Staff of the AFU. Additionally, the Defense Forces stopped 14 attacks towards Kostiantynivka.
russia failed to support the ceasefire regime declared by Ukraine starting at midnight on 6 May, stated Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. According to him, this indicates Moscow rejects peace, and the Kremlin’s statements about a “truce” for 8–9 May are unrelated to diplomacy.
Ukraine announced the silence regime in a mirrored format: the Defense Forces only return fire in response to russian shelling. russian leader Vladimir Putin did not respond to the Ukrainian initiative, though he had previously announced a “truce” specifically for 8–9 May.
On the morning of 6 May, russian troops violated the silence regime several times towards Lyman, attempting to approach Yampil and shelling positions with Grad MLRS, reported a soldier from the “Signum” battalion (59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade).
Towards Pokrovsk, the Russian army also broke the ceasefire, shelling positions and launching six airstrikes. Four Ukrainian servicemen were wounded, according to the 7th Air Assault Forces Corps.
Shelling and Casualties
On 5 May, police recorded 1,352 strikes on the front line and residential sectors of Donetsk oblast. Nine settlements were hit; 60 civilian objects were damaged, including 32 residential buildings.
- Kramatorsk: Struck by a Molniia-2 drone and three FAB-250 bombs (with UMPK kits). Six people were killed, and 13 civilians were wounded. Damage includes a private house, 16 apartment buildings, an educational institution, and several businesses. Rescue operations in the city center have been completed.
- Druzhkivka: Attacked by FPV drones and KAB-250 bombs. One civilian was injured, and eight private homes were destroyed.
- Sloviansk: An FPV drone strike damaged a civilian car.
- Bilozerське & Mykolaivka: One apartment building was damaged in each town.
Other News
In temporarily occupied Donetsk oblast, russians plan to open Cossack classes in four cities. The curriculum focuses on the russian version of Cossack history and military training, reported Mariupol City Council.
The SBU has served a notice of suspicion to russian assault platoon commander Vasily Blashchuk. He is accused of ordering subordinates to shoot civilians during battles for Shandryholove in September 2025, resulting in at least one civilian death.
Luhansk oblast
USF Commander Robert “Magyar” Brovdi reports that the Unmanned Systems Forces of the AFU destroyed a russian UAV operator training center in Khrustalnyi in temporarily occupied Luhansk oblast. The struck buildings housed operator and spotter trainees, instructors, officers, and passenger vehicles.
Oleksii Kharchenko, Head of Luhansk RMA, says that towards Lyman, Ukrainian defenders repelled six Russian assaults near four settlements. Within Luhansk oblast, the russian army used tube artillery four times, mortars three times, and automatic grenade launchers twice, while directing six drones at Ukrainian fortifications.
Luhansk residents have submitted 56,631 information reports regarding damaged or destroyed real estate, including 320 in April. Military administrations of the communities have already processed 51,145 of these reports, with 47,474 processed within Sievierodonetsk region. The highest number of reports were handled in the following communities: Sievierodonetsk, Popasna, Lysychansk, Rubizhne, Hirske, and Kreminna.
According to Oleksii Kharchenko, for over three years, occupation authorities in Luhansk oblast have postponed the establishment of six new landfills due to a lack of funding. Meanwhile, russia has allocated over 5 billion rubles for the reclamation of old municipal waste sites in seized territories.
Starting in the second half of the 2026–2027 academic year, schools in the so-called “LPR” plan to introduce a mandatory subject titled “Spiritual and Moral Culture of the russian federation” for students in grades 5–7. To accommodate this, hours for other core subjects will be reduced, continuing the trend of replacing academic education with propaganda-driven courses.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
According to the State Emergency Service, local residents found the debris of a russian drone in a forest in the Vyshhorod district. Explosive ordnance disposal experts identified the object as a combat component of a ‘Geran-2’ UAV, which they recovered and rendered harmless.
The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that a russian commander and two of his subordinates are to stand trial in Kyiv oblast, charged with violating the laws and customs of war, combined with the intentional murder committed by a group of persons. According to the case file, during the occupation of Hostomel in March 2022, two soldiers carried out an order from the commander of an infantry company to kill an unarmed local resident wearing civilian clothing. The suspects stopped the man on the street and opened fire on him with automatic weapons.
Zhytomyr oblast
According to the State Tax Service of Zhytomyr Oblast, a presentation was held on the State Tax Service’s new programs. In particular, the event focused on tax support for veteran-run businesses and assistance for grant recipients.
On 6 May, on the outskirts of Zhytomyr oblast in the village of Maidan, Olevsk community, the Alley of Heroes was unveiled in memory of four local soldiers who died defending Ukraine during the anti-terrorist operation and the full-scale russian-Ukrainian war. Information about the defenders and their portraits were displayed on memorial stands.
The Olevsk community recently hosted a charity concert by students of the local music school. During the event, the students of the extracurricular educational institution and their teachers raised over 5,000 hryvnias, which will be donated to support the residents of the community serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Sumy oblast

These included 1,086 attack drones, 52 reconnaissance UAVs and 105 Parodiia decoy targets. During this period, more than 1,600 enemy UAVs were detected in the skies over the oblast. According to the Territorial Defence zone headquarters, Ukrainian defenders neutralised 75% of aerial targets.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informed that towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, border guards of the Steel Border Brigade destroyed five russian servicemen, two of their vehicles, an antenna, seven shelters and a drone in an ambush.
Acting Mayor Artem Kobzar said that on the morning of 6 May, the russian army struck central Sumy by two UAVs. The strike hit a kindergarten building. Two women, employees of the educational institution, were killed in the attack; rescuers recovered their bodies from under the rubble. As of 6:23pm, seven people were reported injured. The kindergarten building sustained the most severe damage, while neighbouring buildings sustained minor damage. A rescue operation is ongoing.

According to the Regional Military Administration, on the morning of 6 May, russian forces deliberately attacked a civilian car in the territory of Stetskivka starosta region of Sumy community. A female passenger was killed in the enemy drone strike, and the driver was wounded.
The Regional Military Administration reported that on 6 May, russian forces launched a missile strike on one of the agricultural enterprises in Popivka rural community. An 88-year-old woman was injured in the attack and taken to hospital. Production buildings and agricultural machinery at the enterprise were damaged. Damage to residential houses of local residents was also recorded.
Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of the City Military Administration, said that in Pishchane starosta region, four residential houses were damaged by a UAV strike. Outbuildings and fences were also damaged. No people were injured.
The Regional Military Administration reported that in Velyka Pysarivka community, a 69-year-old man stepped on an enemy mine. He found it near his yard. The man sustained extremely severe injuries and died at the scene. The mine was likely dropped by russians from a drone.
The Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that at around 5:30pm on 5 May, a russian drone attacked a civilian lorry in Putyvl community. The 57-year-old driver was wounded in the strike.
According to Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of Sumy Military Administration, on 5 May at around 6pm, russian forces struck Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy by drones. Around 10 households were damaged in the strike, roofs were destroyed in two houses, and three cars were damaged. One of the houses caught fire. A russian drone also struck a transport enterprise in the city.
The City Military Administration reported that in Pishchane starosta region, a woman was injured in a russian attack on the evening of 5 May. Cars belonging to a transport enterprise were also damaged.
On the night of 5 May, an animal shelter in Sumy was damaged in a guided aerial bomb attack, the municipal enterprise Animal Care Centre reported. The guided aerial bomb fell 100 metres from the shelter’s territory. Almost 10 enclosures and windows were damaged, while outbuildings were hit by fragments. The animals were not hit by fragments.
the Regional Military Administration informed that during the day on 5 May, six people were injured in russian strikes on civilian infrastructure in Sumy oblast. In Seredyna-Buda community, a 51-year-old woman was injured in a drone strike, and a 61-year-old woman was injured in a guided aerial bomb strike. In Putyvl community, a 63-year-old driver was wounded after a drone hit a lorry. In addition, a 45-year-old man and women aged 24 and 39 were injured in UAV attacks in Sumy community. Two of the injured are in hospital. A 55-year-old woman who was injured on 1 May in a drone strike on the territory of the community also sought medical assistance.
During the day, from the morning of 5 May to the morning of 6 May, russian forces carried out almost 50 attacks on 21 settlements in nine territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Over the past day, air raid alerts in the oblast lasted 13 hours and 32 minutes.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
- In Sumy community, civilian infrastructure facilities, private residential houses and cars were damaged;
- In Velyka Pysarivka community, a motorcycle was damaged;
- In Krasnopillia community, cars were damaged;
- In Putyvl community, a lorry was damaged;
- In Shostka community, apartment buildings and private residential houses were damaged;
- In Esman community, private residential houses were destroyed and an apartment building was damaged;
- In Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
- In Znob-Novhorodske community, a civilian infrastructure facility and residential premises were damaged;
- In Svesa community, a private residential house and non-residential premises were damaged;
- In Shalyhyne community, a private household was destroyed;
- In Berezivka community, a private residential house was damaged;
- In Seredyna-Buda community, a private residential house was destroyed, and private residential houses, premises of an educational institution, an outbuilding, agricultural machinery and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.
Over the past day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and non-governmental organisations, evacuated 129 people from border communities.
Chernihiv oblast
During the day on 5 May, russian forces attacked five border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Snovsk, Koriukivka and Horodnia.
Chernihiv Border Detachment reported that the enemy carried out mortar attacks with 7 explosions, barrel artillery attacks with 30 explosions and MLRS attacks with 10 explosions, launched Molniya-type UAV strikes with 1 explosion, Shahed-type UAV strikes with 1 explosion and FPV drone strikes with 42 explosions, and dropped explosive devices from UAVs with 9 explosions. Sixteen settlements came under enemy fire.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
Nikopol region. A 50-year-old woman in Myrove community was injured in yesterday’s drone strike. She sought medical assistance at a hospital on her own.
From evening until morning, the occupiers attacked the district by FPV drones and artillery. One of the drones again hit Tomakivka community. A private house caught fire. The regional centre, Pokrovske rural, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities also came under attack. Fires broke out. A hotel, an administrative building, two apartment buildings, private houses, a country house, an enterprise, five cars and a minibus were damaged. Yesterday’s strikes also damaged a petrol station, two private houses, three outbuildings, a greenhouse, a car and two garages.
Dnipro region. According to updated information, four people were killed in yesterday’s attack on Dnipro. Nineteen people were injured.
Synelnykove region. Dubovyky community was struck by guided aerial bombs. Fires broke out. A private house and an outbuilding were damaged.
Kryvyi Rih region. Infrastructure was damaged.
Synelnykove region. A 10-year-old girl was injured in Vasylkivka community. The enemy struck by a UAV, damaging a private house.
Nikopol region. The occupiers attacked the region by drones and artillery, targeting the regional centre, Pokrovske rural, Myrove, Mozolevske, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities. Fires broke out. Nine private houses, two outbuildings, a greenhouse, a minibus, five cars, an agricultural enterprise, a petrol station and a power line were damaged.
Kryvyi Rih region. Infrastructure was damaged in Kryvyi Rih as a result of a UAV attack. Novopillia and Hrushivka communities were also attacked. A fire broke out. A petrol station, a shop and a car were damaged.
Kamianske region. Infrastructure was damaged in Zhovti Vody as a result of a UAV strike.
Samarivka region. UAVs attacked Samar and Hubynykha community. Fires broke out. Infrastructure was damaged.
Vinnytsia oblast
The deaths of eight defenders from Vinnytsia oblast have been reported. They are Ivan Mazur, Serhii Kamniev, Oleksandr Sorokopud, Oleksii Suprunets, Kyrylo Oberland, Kostiantyn Semeniuk, Oleksandr Izert and Ihor Shevchenko.
Kirovohrad oblast
In three communities of Kirovohrad oblast, farewell ceremonies were held for servicemen. They were Oleh Naida from the settlement of Pantaivka, Vitalii Pereverziev from Adzhamka, and Vitalii Levchenko from Fedirky village.
Oleh Naida was killed on 9 August 2025 in the vicinity of Pleshchiivka village, Kramatorsk region, Donetsk oblast. He was 29.
Vitalii Pereverziev was killed on 22 February 2025 in the vicinity of Bochkove village, Kharkiv oblast.
On 16 April 2026, Vitalii Levchenko was wounded while carrying out a combat mission. Doctors fought for his life for 11 days, but on 27 April the serviceman’s heart stopped.
During the latest prisoner exchange, six fellow residents returned from captivity. They are from Kropyvnytskyi, Petrove, Mala Vyska, Khashchuvate, Nova Praha and Novyi Starodub. The men are currently under medical supervision and undergoing the necessary rehabilitation. The state is providing them with full medical and psychological support.
Oksana Kovtunenko, Regional Police Spokesperson, said that in Kirovohrad oblast, explosive ordnance specialists detonated the warhead of a russian drone that had not exploded. The drone debris was found in one of the districts of the oblast after a russian air attack.
Serhii Yakunin, Head of the City Council Press Service, announced that Kropyvnytskyi City Council allocated UAH 2.5m. to purchase a new specialised hearse to replace the current “Na Shchyti” vehicle made in russia. City council deputies approved the relevant decision at a session on 23 April, amending the programme for the development of housing and communal services and road safety for 2026–2028. The decision concerns an increase in the authorised capital of the municipal enterprise Ritual Service – Specialised Municipal Household Services Plant by the corresponding amount.
Poltava oblast
Rescuers in Poltava oblast were awarded medals “For Courage” and for their professional work during emergency response operations. The medals were presented to the firefighters in hospital, where they are staying after a russian attack on the night of 5 May.
Following the missile strike on the oblast on the night of 5 May, the injured continue to receive treatment in hospital. Two patients are currently in serious condition, while another has been stabilised and transferred from intensive care.
In Poltava, a farewell ceremony was held for rescuers killed in the 5 May attack. They were Hero of Ukraine Viktor Kuzmenko and firefighter Dmytro Skryl, who had 20 years of service.
Residents paid tribute to fallen serviceman Vladyslav Oliinichenko will be held in Khorol community. The soldier died on 30 April 2026 after being wounded while carrying out a combat mission.
Vitalii Diakivnych, Head of the Regional Military Administration, informed that in Poltava region, a russian UAV fell in an open area. According to preliminary information, no one was injured.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of the Regional Military Administration, reported that as a result of the 5 May missile attack, property at several enterprises was damaged in Cherkasy region. The damage mainly included windows blown out by the blast wave and damaged roofs. No injuries were reported.
In Luzanivka village, released defender Dmytro Medvedenko was welcomed home after returning from russian captivity. He spent two years and eight months in captivity.
In Zhashkiv, mothers of fallen defenders were presented with awards and flowers today. Three local mothers of many children were also awarded the Mother Heroine orders. The event was dedicated to Mother’s Day, which is marked in Ukraine on the second Sunday of May.

Zaporizhzhia oblast
Today, 6 May, russian troops attacked Zaporizhzhia region. According to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, as a result of a guided aerial bomb strike on Zhovta Krucha, one person was killed and two were injured. A private house was destroyed. In Vilniansk, as a result of an enemy drone attack, a private house was destroyed and two people were injured.
The head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, Ivan Fedorov, reported that today, 6 May, russians shelled a symbol of Zaporizhzhia oblast — Orikhiv regional stele. According to him, the stele is planned to be restored.

As reported by Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, yesterday, 5 May, the occupiers carried out 989 strikes on 51 settlements of Zaporizhzhia oblast. The enemy launched 2 missiles at Zaporizhzhia. russian forces carried out 34 airstrikes on Zaporizhzhia, Komyshuvakha, Zarichne, Malokaterynivka, Mariivka, Yurkivka, Novoivanivka, Boikove, Barvynivka, Liubytske, Shevchenkivske, Rizdvianets, Lisne, Odarivka, Orikhiv, Omelnyk, Verkhna Tersa, Kopani, Svoboda, Hirske, Shyroke, Chervonyi Yar, Vozdvyzhivka and Rivne. 690 UAVs of various modifications (mostly FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Kushuhum, Chervonodniprovka, Bilenke, Mariivka, Novoiakovlivka, Nahirne, Stepnohirsk, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Varvarivka, Olenokostiantynivka, Pryluky, Dobropillia and Nove Zaporizhzhia. Eight MLRS strikes targeted Stepnohirsk, Stepove, Lukianivske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipilske and Vozdvyzhivka. 255 artillery strikes hit Novoyakovlivka, Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Sviatopetrivka, Varvarivka, Olenokostiantynivka and Dobropillia. 183 reports were received about damage to housing, educational institutions, vehicles and infrastructure facilities. 12 people were killed and 49 were injured as a result of enemy attacks on Zaporizhzhia, Zaporizhzhia region and Polohy region.

According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 6 May, there were 11 attacks towards the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the areas of Zlahoda, Dobropillia, Hirske, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka and Zelene towards Huliaipole.The enemy carried out one attack near Shcherbaky towards Orikhiv. Over the past day, 5 May, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled 24 ruusian attacks towards Huliaipole.
Mykolaiv oblast
As reported by Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, yesterday the enemy attacked Ochakiv and Kutsurub communities 12 times with FPV drones. There were no casualties.
Odesa oblast
On 6 May, explosions were heard in Odesa region during an air raid alert. An air raid alert was declared in Odesa region at 16:59. According to the Air Force, russian drones were detected moving toward the region from the Black Sea. In particular, in the direction of the city of Pivdenne.
Kherson oblast
As reported by Kherson RMA, today, 6 May, at around 17:30, a russian shell hit a house in Komyshany. An 83-year-old woman sustained a blast injury and concussion.
Also today, five residents of Komyshany sought medical assistance after being injured by russian shelling. Around 01:00 today, a 55-year-old woman came under enemy fire; the previous evening, a 58-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were injured; yesterday during the day, a 54-year-old woman; and on the afternoon of 4 May, a 66-year-old man. All were diagnosed with blast injuries and concussions.
Yesterday at around 23:00, russian forces shelled Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. Two people were injured.
A resident of Bilozerka sought medical help after being injured in a russian drone attack on the night of 2 May. She sustained a blast injury and a concussion.
Medical assistance was also needed for a woman who was injured on the evening of 2 May as a result of a russian drone strike on a car in Korabelnyi district of Kherson. The 50-year-old woman was diagnosed with a blast injury and a concussion.
According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, yesterday, 5 May, the russian forces attacked Zolota Balka, Beryslav, Rakivka, Chervone, Novoraisk, Khreshchenivka, Sahaidachne, Komyshany, Bilozerka, Antonivka, Vesele, Dniprovske, Zelenivka, Kizomys, Kozatske, Lvove, Novokairy, Novooleksandrivka, Novotyahynka, Pryozerne, Sablukivka, Sadove, Tokarivka, Tiahynka, Tomyna Balka, Chornobaivka, Ivanivka, Mykhailivka, Prydniprovske, Poniativka, Mykilske, Inhulets, Daryivka, Rozlyv, Zorivka, Nadiivka and the city of Kherson. Three multi-story buildings, 13 private houses, a cellular tower, a warehouse, ambulances and private cars were damaged. As a result of russian aggression, one person was killed and 10 were injured.
According to the General Staff, as of 16:00 on 6 May, the enemy carried out two assault actions in the areas of Antonivka and Bilogrudyi Island towards Kherson.
As reported by the head of the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, six more children aged 8 to 17 were evacuated from the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson oblast. Four boys and two girls were evacuated.

The RMA held an online meeting of specialists in supporting veterans and demobilized persons under the leadership of Vita Prokopchuk, Head of the Regional Department for Veteran Policy. They discussed the capabilities of the Return Mental Health Center, which operates on the basis of Volyn Regional Psychiatric Hospital and a practical algorithm for receiving assistance.
Zakarpattia oblast
A workshop on building a culture of inclusiveness was held in Khust, bringing together representatives of the district’s communities, education, and social sectors. As part of the workshop, experts also created inclusion roadmaps that identified priorities and specific steps for implementing accessibility in their communities.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Bohdan Romanyuk, actor of Ivano-Frankivsk Drama Theater and soldier, received the For Honor and Victory award. The soldier defended Ukraine in the 1030th Anti-Aircraft Rocket and Artillery Regiment Aquila.
Lviv oblast
A training camp for veterans has started in the Lviv region. As part of preparation for the upcoming competitions, which will begin on 9 May, veterans have begun intensive wheelchair basketball training. The training camp is held in a rich format: participants work daily under the close supervision of professional coaches, mastering game technique and team interaction.
Rivne oblast
The RMA held a meeting of the Civilian Support Coordination Center. They discussed services for children, internally displaced persons, veterans and their family members.
Ternopil oblast
The Airborne Cossack Swarm NGO has implemented a large-scale project to supply humanitarian aid to Ternopil oblast – 20 trucks with necessary items. The cargo includes hygiene products, clothing, mattresses, blankets and other essential items. The aid is aimed at providing healthcare facilities, orphanages, geriatric institutions and internally displaced persons.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
4 modern low-floor SOR NB 12 buses have joined the fleet of Electrotrans of Khmelnytskyi community. They received assistance thanks to the support of Prague and reliable partners from Prague-6.
Chernivtsi oblast
This year, on Vyshyvanka Day, Chernivtsi is proposing to launch a new campaign, Embroidered Ribbon of Memory. Organizers are calling for people to attach embroidered ribbons near portraits of defenders on heroes’ alleys, memorial plaques, or near educational institutions as a symbol of gratitude and an unbreakable bond with our warriors.

The German government has approved a budget for 2027 with €11bn in aid to Ukraine. The budget includes a significant increase in defense spending: in 2027, it will increase to €105.8bn compared to €82.7bn in 2026.
Norway is providing around $300m to the PURL program. Norway’s total contribution to the PURL program already exceeds $1.2bn – the largest support of all participating countries.
