Since the start of the day, the aggressor has attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 65 times.
Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today, in Sumy oblast, the settlements of Rohizne, Bachivsk, Sopych, Korenok, Ryzhivka, Atynske, Ulanove and Neskuchne were hit; in Chernihiv oblast – Huta-Studenetska, Khrinivka, Kryvush and Mkh. Sumy was subjected to an air strike. Two clashes took place towards Northern Sloboda and Kursk, one of which is still ongoing; the enemy carried out 47 attacks on settlements and our troops’ positions, two of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.
Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy launched seven assaults on our units’ positions in the areas around the settlements of Starytsia, Lyman and in the direction of Izbytske.
Towards Kupiansk, the enemy launched a single attack today in the direction of Radkivka.
Towards Lyman, the invaders made five attempts to advance towards the settlements of Drobysheve, Stavy and Torske. One combat engagement is ongoing.
Towards Sloviansk and Kramatorsk, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations.
Towards Kostiantynivka, the invaders carried out ten attacks near Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar and Sofiivka. One battle is ongoing.
Towards Pokrovsk, since the start of the day, the occupiers have attempted 22 times to dislodge our troops from their positions in the areas around the settlements of Zatyshok, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Kotlyne, Udane, Muravka, Novomykolaivka and towards the settlements of Bilytske, Shevchenko, Serhiivka, Biliakivka and Novopidhorodne. Four clashes are currently ongoing.
Towards Oleksandrivka, the enemy launched four attacks towards the settlements of Berezove, Yehorivka and Novozaporizhzhia. Two engagements are still ongoing.
Towards Huliaipole, the Defence Forces successfully repelled 10 enemy attacks towards the settlements of Varvarivka, Staroukrainka, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Huliaipole, and Charivne. Two further engagements are ongoing. Towards Orikhiv, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations.
Towards Kherson, russian invaders launched two attacks in the direction of Antonivka. One engagement is currently ongoing.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha reported that despite repeated warnings, Egypt continues to accept Ukrainian grain stolen by russia. The vessel Asomatos was permitted to unload 26,900 tonnes of stolen wheat at Abu Qir. This is already the fourth instance of russia laundering Ukrainian grain in Egyptian ports since April. The Asomatos was permitted to unload despite the fact that five days ago, Ukraine’s Prosecutor General sent an official request for legal assistance to the Egyptian Ministry of Justice.

Towards Southern Sloboda, the enemy launched four assaults on our units’ positions in the areas around the settlements of Prylipka, Starytsia and Ambarne.
Towards Kupiansk, our defenders repelled one enemy attack near the settlement of Radkivka.
Attacks
During the day, the enemy launched drone attacks on Kholodnohirskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv.
Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office informed that in the morning of 5 May, russia attacked two railway infrastructure sites. As a result of the strikes, a man was injured and a woman suffered an acute stress reaction. According to Oleksii Kuleba, Ukraine’s Minister of Community and Territorial Development, at around 7:30am a russian UAV attacked a Ukrzaliznytsia facility and destroyed a carriage.
On the morning of 5 May, russian forces attacked Kharkiv with drones. Strikes were recorded in Industrialnyi, Kholodnohirskyi, Saltivskyi and Osnovianskyi districts of the city. In Kholodnohirskyi district, a 55-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction. In Osnovianskyi district, two people were injured as a result of a UAV strike; medics are providing them with assistance.
he State Emergency Service of Kharkiv Oblast, said that in Velykyi Burluk on 5 May, dry grass caught fire following a strike by a russian drone. Firefighters extinguished the blaze across an open area of 400 sq m.
Oleh Syniehubov, Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, reported that on the night of 5 May, russian troops attacked Andriivka, Izium region. A 47-year-old factory worker was killed, and two other men, aged 41 and 53, were injured. According to Izium Military Administration, an administrative building of a defunct enterprise, private homes and a car were damaged. Anatolii Nazdrachev, Head of Donetsk community, reported that around 10 private homes were damaged as a result of the strike, and a crater approximately five metres in diameter remained after the rocket hit.
On the night of 5 May, russian troops launched a massive drone attack on Liutivka in Zolochiv community. According to Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv Civil-Military Administration, this was the most powerful attack on the village in recent times. Three residential buildings were completely destroyed, and a further eight houses and a car were damaged.
Viktor Kovalenko, Head of Zolochiv Civil-Military Administration, reported that at around 12:40am on 5 May, russian forces attacked Zolochiv. The strike hit a road, damaging a two-storey apartment block and the storage facilities of a building supplies shop.
Kharkiv Regional Military Administration stated that over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 15 settlements in the region have come under russian attack. Eight people were killed and a further 40 injured, including three children.

Kharkiv RMA said that six people were killed in Merefa: men aged 68, 63 and 55, and women aged 74, 52 and 41. A further 31 people were injured, including boys aged 2, 16 and 17. Viktor Zabashta, director of the Emergency Medical Care Centre, reported that as of the morning of 5 May, 17 people were still being treated in two hospitals following the strike on Merefa; three of them were on ventilators in a serious but stable condition.
Work to clear up the aftermath of the russian missile strike is continuing in Merefa. Around 100 people received assistance: they were provided with psychological support, legal advice, social support and hot meals. Volunteers have sealed off nearly 200 damaged building perimeters and repaired the roofs of eight houses.
A 70-year-old man has died in Zakharivka, in Vovchansk community. In Bezliudivka, three people suffered acute stress reactions; in Peresichne, a 41-year-old woman was injured; in Svitlychne, a 55-year-old man; and in Ivanivka, a 75-year-old woman. Medical staff also treated a 43-year-old man who was wounded in Slatyn on 1 May.
Over the past 24 hours, the russian army has fired six missiles, two KABs, 17 Geran-2 UAVs, one Lancet UAV, nine Molniya UAVs, three FPV drones and 27 UAVs of an unidentified type.
According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, in Kharkiv, a civilian enterprise, the windows and roof of a single-storey apartment block, and a car were damaged. In Bohodukhiv, Kupiansk, Izium and Kharkiv regions, residential buildings, an agricultural enterprise, a nursery school, a bus station, railway infrastructure, a civilian enterprise, shops, a car repair workshop, administrative buildings, cars, a catering establishment, office premises and power lines were damaged.
Other
The transit evacuation centre in Lozova received 190 people over the past 24 hours. A total of 32,146 people have registered at the centre since it opened.
Donetsk oblast
Frontline
Over the past 24 hours, 24 assaults took place in the Pokrovsk sector in the areas of Bilytske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Rodynske, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Novooleksandrivka, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka and Muravka, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russian forces launched a further 16 attacks in the Kostiantynivka sector.
Russia is deploying elite Airborne Forces units to the assaults on Pokrovsk, sending infantry without ammunition or first-aid kits, according to the 25th Airborne Brigade. Ukrainian intelligence detected and destroyed one such assault group.
The ATESH movement reported that russian forces are massively withdrawing combat-ready soldiers from Kostiantynivka axis for rehearsals for the 9 May parade in moscow, leaving untrained and wounded soldiers in their positions.
Attacks
On 4 May, the police recorded 1,436 strikes by the russian army along the front line and in residential areas of the oblast. 12 settlements were under attack: Dobropillia, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, Malotaranivka, Raihorodok, Dolyna, Zaparomariivka, Novotroitske, Osykove and Spasko-Mykhailivka. 33 civilian facilities were damaged, including 19 residential buildings.
Three people were killed and seven others wounded as a result of russian attacks in the oblast.
In Dobropillia, russian troops killed two civilians and wounded two others. In Novotroitske, Pokrovsk region, one person was killed and two injured.
The russian army struck Druzhkivka with two KAB-250 bombs and four drones. One person was injured, and three apartment blocks and five private homes damaged.
Regional police said that three russian drones attacked Sloviansk. A civilian was injured, and a coach and a private house were damaged.
In Mykolaivka, one person was injured and a hospital was damaged. In Raihorodok, a private house and a garage were damaged.
Kramatorsk was hit by five drone attacks: three private homes and two civilian vehicles were damaged. In Malotaranivka, three FPV drones struck near a private home and damaged a civilian lorry.
According to the Donetsk Regional Police, in Zapor-Marivka, five private homes and a shop were damaged after being struck by a Geran-2 UAV.
Luhansk oblast
Towards Lyman, russian troops carried out six assaults near four settlements over the past 24 hours. In Luhansk oblast, the occupiers used mortars five times, barrel artillery four times, fired automatic grenade launchers three times, and also made active use of drones.
Oleksii Kharchenko, Head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration, reported that in Siverskodonetsk, there has been no mobile network for over three years, with landline connections remaining the main means of communication. As a result, local residents are buying walkie-talkies en masse, including for children, to stay in touch with relatives within the city. The occupying authorities are not promising to restore communications even on the eve of the elections to the russian State Duma.
Oleksii Kharchenko, Head of the RMA, reported that Starobilsk is facing a critical shortage of doctors following the departure of most specialists from the city and surrounding settlements after the start of the full-scale invasion. Some vacancies have been filled by medical staff who have moved from Siverskodonetsk, Lysychansk and Rubizhne, but the city still lacks general practitioners, paediatricians and specialists.
What is happening now in the north of Ukraine
Kyiv oblast
According to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Regional Military Administration, the enemy launched a drone attack on Kyiv oblast during the night. Three people were injured. Damage caused by the attack has been confirmed in Brovary and Vyshhorod districts.

In the Vyshhorod district, a man born in 1971 sustained injuries – he has minor shrapnel wounds to his face. Medical staff treated him at the scene; he does not require hospitalisation. Two private homes, a petrol station building, 10 cars and the premises of one of the businesses were damaged.
In the Brovary district, the facade of a multi-storey building, two private homes and a car were damaged. In Brovary, the enemy targeted a residential area. A 34-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man were injured as a result of the attack by an enemy drone. They received the necessary medical assistance.

According to the Kyiv National Police, a local resident found a russian drone in Kyiv. The explosive device was located in a wood in the Desnianskyi district of the city. The police determined that these were fragments of a UAV with a warhead. Police bomb disposal experts rendered the munition safe and removed it for subsequent destruction at a specialised range.
The Kyiv Regional State Administration reported that construction of a modern shelter for the Zagaltsevsky Lyceum, a key educational institution, is underway in the village of Zagaltse in the Bucha district. This is being carried out as part of the regional comprehensive programme to ensure the safety of the population and territory of Kyiv oblast from emergencies for 2024–2027. The shelter is designed to accommodate 298 people and is intended to guarantee reliable protection for students, staff, and local residents.
The Kyiv Regional State Administration reported that eight Ukrainian servicemen, whose names remain unidentified, were buried with honours at the National Military Memorial Cemetery.
Zhytomyr oblast
A military-patriotic training course named ‘DOBROVOLETS’ in honour of Volodymyr Salnyk (Papay) took place in Zviahel. The event was organised on the initiative of the international youth organisation DZVIN, in collaboration with the Zviahel branch of the Brotherhood of OUN-UPA Soldiers and the NGO ‘Steel Falcon’. The main part of the training programme included a field exercise in a wooded area – at the site where one of the nine UPA General-Horunzhy, Ivan Treiko, was killed, near the ‘Modryna’ tract.
Sumy oblast
the 119th Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that in Sumy oblast, Ukrainian fighters repelled an advance by russian troops on the morning of 3 May. Eighteen russian servicemen, two motorcycles and eight quad bikes were destroyed.
Serhii Kryvosheienko, Head of the City Military Administration said that on the night of 5 May, russian forces struck warehouse premises on the outskirts of Sumy by a guided aerial bomb. The attack caused a fire. Warehouse premises and around 10 parked cars were damaged. About 10 windows were blown out in a nearby residential apartment building.
The State Emergency Service informed that a russian drone hit a civilian car in Bilopillia on the night of 4 to 5 May. The car caught fire. The blast wave damaged windows in an apartment building.
According to Krasnopillia Settlement Council, on 2 May, Vitalii Cherviak, a resident of Slavhorod village in Krasnopillia community, was killed by the detonation of a russian drone. He was an employee of an agricultural enterprise. Also in Krasnopillia community, the body of a man who died on 4 May in a russian drone strike was found. Fellow villagers found the deceased. He was 73 years old.
The Regional Military Administration reported that residents of Seredyna-Buda community sought medical assistance: women aged 52, 65 and 72, and men aged 36 and 51, who were injured during shelling in the community from 1 to 3 May.
During the day, from the morning of 4 May to the morning of 5 May, russian forces carried out more than 40 attacks on 23 settlements in 14 territorial communities of the oblast. The highest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka regions. The enemy used mortars, artillery, MLRS, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs. Over the past day, air raid alerts in the oblast lasted 18 hours and 30 minutes.
Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed:
- In Sumy community, non-residential buildings and vehicles were damaged;
- In Stepanivka community, a non-residential premises was damaged;
- In Mykolaivka rural community, a private residential house, an outbuilding and a private passenger car were damaged;
- In Konotop community, a non-residential building was damaged;
- In Bilopillia community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged;
- In Velyka Pysarivka community, a private residential house was damaged;
- In Seredyna-Buda community, private residential houses and outbuildings were destroyed;
- In Shostka community, apartment buildings and private residential houses, a non-residential building and cars were damaged;
- In Esman community, private residential houses were destroyed and an apartment building was damaged;
- In Yampil community, private residential houses, outbuildings, premises of a healthcare facility and a non-residential premises were damaged;
- In Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community, a private residential house was damaged;
- In Znob-Novhorodske community, a private residential house was damaged.

The Regional Military Administration reported that over the past day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police and non-governmental organisations, evacuated 41 people from border communities.
Oleh Hryhorov, Head of the Regional Military Administration, said that UAH 60m. has already been allocated from the oblast budget to install anti-drone protection on roads in Sumy oblast. In April, about 30 km of roads in the oblast were already covered with such nets. The work is ongoing.
Inspection specialists assessed the environmental damage caused by land contamination with debris from the destruction of residential buildings and infrastructure facilities in 12 settlements of Khotin community. It was established that more than 1,800 hectares within the community have already been contaminated with destruction waste. The Environmental Inspectorate informed that damage amounting to UAH 180b. was recorded. This concerns villages located along the border.

The Regional Military Administration announced that an ambulance has been delivered to one of the hospitals in Sumy oblast for medical response and patient transport. The aid was provided with the support of German partners, the Blue-Yellow Cross foundation, with the assistance of the SBB-TYL non-governmental organisation.
Chernihiv oblast
At around 10am on 5 May, a russian Shahed hit the building of Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office. As a result of the attack in Chernihiv, cars and the building on the courtyard side were damaged. As of 5pm, 17 people had sought medical assistance following the russian attack.


Oleksandr Seliverstov, Head of Novhorod-Siverskyi Regional Military Administration, said that at around 10am on 5 May, russian forces struck a food enterprise in Chaikyne village. Civilian infrastructure sustained significant damage as a result of the shelling, and an outbuilding was completely destroyed.
Pavlo Miroshnychenko, Head of Koriukivka Regional Military Administration, reported that at around 9am on 5 May, the enemy struck Snovsk town by a drone. The explosion damaged administrative buildings and residential houses, as well as the building of an extracurricular education institution.
Viacheslav Chaus, Head of Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, informed that during 4 May, russians attacked villages in Horodnia community by FPV drones. Three people were injured in the strikes. An agricultural enterprise was damaged, including farm premises, a passenger car and a tractor. In the evening, FPV drone strikes damaged a lorry and a house. Two civilians were wounded. In another village, the enemy hit the territory of a forestry site. An administrative building caught fire. A 58-year-old civilian man was wounded.
According to the Northern Forest Office branch, on the evening of 4 May, russian forces attacked a forestry site by three drones. As a result of the strikes, a forest ranger was wounded. He is in intensive care in a serious but stable condition. The administrative building of the Starorudnianske Forestry was completely destroyed in the enemy shelling. Due to the threat of repeated strikes, rescuers could not immediately reach the site of the fire. The fire was extinguished later.
Dry grass caught fire in Koriukivka, Nizhyn and Novhorod-Siverskyi regions as a result of drone attacks.

During the day on 4 April, russian forces attacked five border communities in Chernihiv oblast: Novhorod-Siverskyi, Semenivka, Snovsk, Horodnia and Ripky.
According to Chernihiv Border Detachment, the enemy carried out mortar attacks with 5 explosions, barrel artillery attacks with 21 explosions and MLRS attacks with 10 strikes, launched Molniya-type UAV strikes with 1 explosion, Shahed UAV strikes with 3 explosions and FPV drone strikes with 25 explosions, and dropped explosive devices from UAVs with 8 explosions. Eighteen settlements came under enemy fire.
Recent events in the central regions of Ukraine
Dnipropetrovsk oblast
26 enemy UAVs were shot down overnight over the oblast.
Nikopol region. In the morning, one person was injured in Marhanets community due to a drone strike. The occupiers attacked the regional centre, Tomakivka, Chervonohryhorivka, Myrove and Marhanets communities by FPV drones. Fires broke out; a lyceum, a private house, an outbuilding, a truck and a passenger car were damaged. Due to yesterday’s attacks, 4 more private houses and 3 cars were damaged.
Dnipro. As a result of a UAV attack in Dnipro and Slobozhanske community, fires broke out. A 62-year-old man was injured. Private houses, cars and infrastructure were damaged.
Synelnykove region. The enemy attacked Slovianska community by UAVs. A church was damaged.
Samar region. Due to an enemy attack in Pereshchepyne community, a fire broke out. Damage was recorded on the territory of a farm. Equipment, vehicles, a private house, a gas station and infrastructure were affected.
Kryvyi Rih region. As a result of a UAV attack in Kryvyi Rih, infrastructure was damaged.
82 attacks. Throughout the day, the enemy continuously shelled Nikopol region and struck Kryvyi Rih region.
Nikopol region. One person was killed. Another 13 people were injured. A 56-year-old man is in serious condition. The occupiers attacked by drones and artillery, targeting the regional centre, Pokrovske rural, Chervonohryhorivka, Myrove and Marhanets communities. Fires broke out. 4 private houses, a lyceum, a hair salon, 2 shops, a medical facility, 2 ambulances, industrial and agricultural enterprises, cars, minibuses and infrastructure were damaged.
Kryvyi Rih region. The enemy struck Zelenodolsk community by an FPV drone. A post office branch was damaged.
In the evening, as a result of a strike on Dnipro, 4 deaths have been confirmed.
Vinnytsia oblast
Mayor Serhii Morhunov reported that Vinnytsia oblast transferred 6 off-road vehicles to the military. The vehicles are intended to enhance the mobility of fire groups and help more effectively counter aerial threats.
Kirovohrad oblast
Serhii Osadchyi, brother of Oleksandr Osadchyi, a native of Kirovohrad oblast, informed that for the third year running his brother Oleksandr has been held in detention in temporarily occupied Crimea by russia. He disappeared in 2023, and for a year his relatives did not know his whereabouts. The man is to be tried for his pro-Ukrainian position under an article on state treason, he faces 12 to 20 years or life imprisonment in the russian federation.
In Kropyvnytskyi, memorial ceremonies were held for servicemen Ihor Lipkin, Artem Fedorenko, Serhii Volchykhin and Denys Bozhenko.
Ihor Lipkin was killed on 13 December 2025, while carrying out a combat mission near Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk oblast. He was 37 years old.
Junior Sergeant Artem Fedorenko went missing on 11 February 2025, during a combat mission near Sverdlivkove village, Sudzha region, kursk oblast. In April 2026, DNA testing confirmed his death. He was 32.
Serhii Volchykhin was killed on 21 March 2024, during a combat mission near Chasiv Yar, Bakhmut region, Donetsk oblast. He had been considered missing in action. In March 2026, DNA testing confirmed his death.
Denys Bozhenko was killed on 24 April 2026, during a combat mission near Vilne village, Pokrovsk region, Donetsk oblast. He was 22.
In communities of Kirovohrad oblast, farewells were held for defenders Vladyslav Pysariev from Oleksandrivka community and Oleksandr Odomich from Svitlovodsk.
Vladyslav Pysariev was killed on 20 July 2025, during a combat mission in Sumy oblast.
Oleksandr Odomich was killed on 22 April 2026, on Pokrovsk region.
In Marianivka village, Velykovyska community, Novoukrainka region, a 50-year-old serviceman Pavlo Lopatynskyi, who had been released from russian captivity in March, was welcomed home.
Poltava oblast
Vitalii Diakivnych, Head of Poltava RMA, stated that hits and falling debris were recorded at 2 locations in Poltava oblast: an industrial enterprise and railway infrastructure. 4 people were killed and 31 injured.
During a nighttime attack on a gas production facility, the russian military carried out a 2nd strike while firefighting efforts were ongoing. 2 State Emergency Service rescuers were killed and 8 injured. In total, 23 rescuers sustained injuries, 3 of them in serious condition.
Kateryna Yamshchykova, Secretary of the City Council, said that a private house, 3 outbuildings and a warehouse were damaged by the blast wave. At least 16 windows were shattered.
On the night of 5 May, russian forces attacked Poltava oblast by Geran-2 UAVs and ballistic missiles. The Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that as a result of hits and falling debris in Poltava oblast, an industrial enterprise was damaged and a fire broke out. After the air raid alert ended, rescuers began extinguishing the fire, but the enemy carried out a 2nd strike.
As a result of the shelling, Lieutenant Colonel of the State Emergency Service Ihor Lytvyshko was injured while extinguishing a fire in Poltava oblast. He is currently in intensive care.
2 employees of the Naftogaz group from Poltava oblast were killed in the attack — Oleksandr Kozin and Yurii Musiienko.
Cherkasy oblast
Ihor Taburets, Head of Cherkasy RMA, stated that during the night, russian forces launched ballistic missiles at Cherkasy oblast. Air defence systems were engaged, enemy missiles did not reach their targets. There were no casualties or property damage reported.
On 30 April 2026, near Malynivka village in Synelnykove region, Dnipropetrovsk oblast, Dmytro Hehelskyi, a resident of Lozuvatka village, was killed. He served as a driver-electrician-mechanic in a reconnaissance company.
A period of mourning has been declared in the community until 7 May.
Latest news from the front of the southern regions of Ukraine
Zaporizhzhia oblast
Ivan Fedorov, Head of Zaporizhzhia RMA, reported that russian forces carried out airstrikes on several enterprises in Zaporizhzhia. 12 people were killed as a result of the attack and 37 injured. Residential buildings, a service station and a car wash were damaged.
The russian army attacked Zaporizhzhia in the morning. As a result of the strike on the regional centre, a fire broke out in a non-residential building. 4 people were injured.
According to Kherson City Council, in 3 districts of Zaporizhzhia, houses and non-residential premises were damaged after russian attacks. In Oleksandrivskyi district of the city, 3 apartment buildings were damaged. In Kosmichnyi district — 3 apartment buildings and 1 private house. In Voznesenskyi district — a non-residential building was damaged.
Based on the information provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on 4 May, Ukrainian Defence Forces repelled 29 russian attacks on Huliaipole region. Combat clashes were recorded near the settlements of Varvarivka, Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Hirke, Staroukrainka, Olenokostiantynivka, Yablukove, Sviatopetrivka, Charivne, Verkhna Tersa and Vozdvyzhivka.
Ivan Fedorov, Head of the RMA, stated that on 4 May, over 840 russian strikes on 49 settlements in Zaporizhzhia oblast were carried out. 3 people were killed and 11 injured.
Mykolaiv oblast
Referring to Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, on 4 May, russian forces attacked energy infrastructure in Mykolaiv oblast by drones.
Over the past day, russian forces attacked Ochakiv community 6 times by FPV drones.
On 4 May and the morning of 5 May, russian forces attacked Snihurivka community 3 times. An apartment building and a car were damaged.
Odesa oblast
Relying on the information provided by Odesa RMA, on the night of 3 May, russian drones attacked Kernel oil terminal in Chornomorsk. As a result of the strike, tanks and infrastructure were damaged, and more than 1,100 tonnes of oil leaked.
In the morning, in the port of Greater Odesa, a civilian vessel under the flag of the Cook Islands was damaged as a result of a russian attack. The crew was not injured. Relevant services are currently working at the site to eliminate the consequences and assess the extent of the damage.
Kherson oblast
According to Kherson Regional Military Administration, at approximately 4:40pm, russians attacked by a Lancet UAV in Sahaidachne village, Novoraiske community. 5 medical workers were injured — men aged 60, 63 and 43, and women aged 43 and 35. They sustained concussions, blast injuries and closed traumatic brain injuries. Also, the oldest man had a shrapnel wound to the neck.
At noon, russian forces attacked a house in Tsentralnyi district of Kherson by a drone. A 73-year-old woman who was outside sustained shrapnel wounds to the head, a concussion, blast injuries and a closed traumatic brain injury.
At approximately 7:10am, russian forces attacked Dniprovskyi district of Kherson by a drone. A 63-year-old man sustained blast injuries, a concussion and shrapnel wounds to the torso, arms and legs.
A resident of Shyroka Balka, Stanislav community, was killed as a result of yesterday’s russian shelling. At approximately 6:40am, occupying forces struck the settlement by MLRS, killing a 72-year-old woman in her own home due to injuries incompatible with life.

Zakarpattia oblast
The RMA reported that in 2026, 15 public and charitable organizations will receive financial support from the regional budget to implement social projects.
Ivano-Frankivsk oblast
Ivano-Frankivsk community sent 400 drones to to the 42nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade Edelveis, the 102nd Territorial Defense Brigade named after Dmytro Vitovsky and the 50th Semyon Vysochan Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine.
Lviv oblast
On 3 May, Lviv oblast hosted the seventeenth edition of one of the most famous amateur cycling races in Ukraine – Lvivska Sotka. The event brought together 500 cycling enthusiasts from all over the country. In addition to sporting excitement, the marathon had an important charitable purpose – raising funds to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Rivne oblast
The 6th evacuation train this year was received by Rivne oblast. 27 people arrived from Donetsk oblast. Among them are two large families. These are mainly residents of Sloviansk, Kramatorsk and Druzhkivka. At the station they were provided with all the necessary assistance.
Ternopil oblast
Defenders from Ternopil receive one-time financial assistance to purchase the necessary equipment. During 2025, 3,243 soldiers from the community received such assistance.
Khmelnytskyi oblast
Since the beginning of 2026, Khmelnytskyi community has already sent over 250 quadcopters to the Defense Forces. In addition to them, there are FPV drones, NRCs, airplanes, hexacopters, electronic warfare equipment, RER, cars, etc. In total, assistance from the community has already reached UAH 670m5.
Chernivtsi oblast
A pilot project to install an innovative electricity storage system is being implemented in Chernivtsi. The project is being implemented by the state-owned JSC Energy Company of Ukraine (ECU) in cooperation with the city council, the French manufacturing company Forsee Power, and with the support of the French government within the framework of the FASEP program.
